My very first two OC’s in reel format! My partner and I absolutely love immersing ourselves in fantasy and roleplay. Having spent hundreds of hours in games like Lost Ark, Baldur’s Gate, as well as dabbling in some D&D, we’ve developed these OC’s pretty well over time to have some rich personality & thematics😊
Liaender is a paladin who exiled himself from his Order when he realized the true nature of their philosophies and values. It became apparent that those he swore an oath to serve, eradicated their chosen enemies out of fear or greed, rather than the justice and holiness they claim to worship. He has since become a wandering nomad with nothing in his possession but his renowned swordsmanship and his own moral compass✨ In present time, Liaender works as a sellsword, but more often than not involves himself in the endeavors of those in need more due to a sense of moral duty than any institutional allegiance 🛡️
Rhaevyn is a a half-human with demon-blood coursing through her veins since birth🩸Despite the carnivorous, flesh-consuming ways of her people, Rhaevyn grew up questioning their seeming over-indulgence in the macabre & willingness to consume humans for mere sustenance. She believes that should her kind curb their tendencies & consume the flesh of the beasts instead, they could end an ongoing war with the humans that has been waging for thousands of years⚔️
& Chai 🐈 is their pet familiar, who has the power to tap into one of four elements & cast a simple spell of that type when shifted💫
Since their uncanny chance encounter that culminated in a gruesome, yet evenly matched fight, the two have discovered they share more principles & views in common than they ever realized🔥Now they have agreed to a pact to help fulfill each other’s life missions that would ‘rectify’ the established institutions of their own kind in hopes for a better future for both kinds❤️🔥⚖️🛡️⚔️💫

DC Comics Is Celebrating George Pérez's Legacy With Beautiful Art [source]
DC Comics has announced plans to celebrate Pérez’s 68th birthday this June with a two-page artwork spread that will be published in every issue released that month. Depicting Perez at his drawing board surrounded by a veritable who’s who of DC characters the artist illustrated over his incredible career, the new piece brings together over 26 DC artist teams — and all colored by Hi-Fi — illustrating a different character (or set of characters). As well as the art spread itself, every issue DC runs with the piece will include a key highlighting which artist worked on which character in the piece, which you can see below.

A special version of that Dark Crisis #7 issue will also be auctioned through the Hero Initiative to provide funds for comics creators in need. Pérez has been a staunch supporter of the charity, a founding member as well as a chair on its board of directors — and previously helped raise funds for it through the rare re-release of JLA/Avengers earlier this year.

February/March Fic Challenge!
Hey everyone! Since @tinydooms January challenge got some awesome fics, I wanted to see if I could make a little challenge of my own, but it’ll be a little different.
As we all know, music is at the forefront of the BatB fandom and it inspires so much from us. I do a little thing over by my neck of the woods where people send me wordless music and I write a fic using that music as inspiration. I’d like to turn that challenge to all of you.
Below I have compiled fifteen pieces of wordless music from artists that aren’t very well known but are brilliant nonetheless. So here are the rules:
Pick a piece of music from the list below.
Listen to it all the way through (more than once for better results) and write about what comes to your mind after listening.
Then while you’re writing the fic, play it in the background so you can have your idea guide you through it.
You can write as many fics as you like, but only one piece of music per fic.
If you look closely, some of the titles of these pieces do coincide with some part of the BatB franchise. Some I did on purpose, while others were just coincidental. If you want to use the title as a source of inspiration, go right ahead. But if the idea that you come up with doesn’t fit with the title, FORGET THE TITLE. It won’t matter.
Post your fic with the hashtag #BATBmusicfics so we can all read your lovely work!
Be sure to provide a link to said song somewhere in the fic so we can all listen while we read.
Each participant must write a minimum one sentence comment on two fics that are not their own. I love this rule because we all need and love positive feedback. (Thanks @tinydooms !)
It wouldn’t hurt to give a little love to these amazing artists, be it a comment on YouTube or on other social media, should you track them down elsewhere. You’ll probably find them in the description of the video.
(Bonus Rule): Let me know if you liked this challenge and would do it again! There’s so much music in the genre of...well, “wordlessness” I guess. And I would love to issue another challenge like this, say in the summer with more upbeat music, or something like that.
