Poor Raph. All he wanted to do was feed the ducks

Fun fact: you shouldn’t feed ducks bread crumbs, since it doesn’t really have any nutritional value. Instead give them rice, chopped up lettuce, oats, birdseed frozen peas, or cut up grapes.

Raph knows this as the animal lover he is of course…. But who has the time to chop up lettuce? Just give them the whole cabbage.

Oh and Jayce (or whatever his name is) is there he’s just… out of frame or something. Yeah. That makes sense

My dnd character is a Canadian goose aarakocra so I’ve gotten some practice drawing ducks.

The character in question has eaten several dozens of candles now and has a collection of arms.

Fun times.

Mikey: Well~. A few years back, you said that if I turn 18, I’m allowed to leave the lair by myself whenever I want to~!

I love Raph and haven’t said that enough so to be more specific I love that Raph is a soft boy who loves bear plushies, a gross boy who eats an assortment of things that are definitely better left alone, a smart boy who is more than capable of taking down villains through planning and fortitude alike, a strong boy who is dedicated to training his muscles and fighting prowess, a teenage boy who loves his brothers but is more than happy to tease and roughhouse with them, an angry boy who sometimes lets his anger take a hold of him to cover the fear, a gentle boy who is generous with hugs and affirmations to those he loves, a capable boy who takes on more than should ever be expected of a teenager, a good boy who just wants to be a hero and slowly comes to realize the cost of that duty, a good boy who has no reservations about putting himself in the way of harm coming to his family, a good boy who’s a great brother and son and person and deserves only the best the world has to offer.

He doesn't know what's gotten into him. Something in him snapped while watching John leave for this one little thing, and every overwhelming urge to (protect what's his) overrode his knowledge that it didn't matter what he thought -- JOHN DOESN'T KNOW WHO HE IS. (this merry go round is spinning out of control and it's the dead of night.)

A hand reached out first, not going to take him by the hand but instead slipping under his arm and wrapping both of his own arms around the magician. Don't acknowledge the shaking, don't think about how terribly scared he feels, clinging to you desperately John.

"[Don't go,]" spoken in hurried ancient Greek, as if maybe he wouldn't be able to get it out in time. As if maybe he couldn't speak the right words to maybe save his life. "[Stay. Please. Just this once. Stay.]"

Raphael doesn't know who he's saying it to: John, or his own beating heart that was stolen from him.

“Mm?”

The reaction admittedly surprised John, confusion following not far behind. He could only really stare down at the pirate with a frown while his brain wracked for what in the hell could possibly make the guy do this.

He had things to do, he had places to be, hell it was probably after noon right now, so he also had breakfast to get.

The words puzzle him even more, being reacted to with a confused scratch of his head. “Got no idea what you’re on about, mate, but I told you I’m goin’. Shop’s special for food ends in ‘bout twenty minutes anyways.”

Carefully he did his best to peel the guy off of him, could’ve maybe snagged that coin to make it easier but John wasn’t going to be that rude, and simply gave a pat on the head.

“I’ll be goin’.”
