When mum is not cooking, it is time to go look for food on the way home from work. Depending on the length of the queue outside Sushi Express (爭鮮), I made the decision to buy a pack each of the Aburi Salmon Bento (S$6.50) and All Sashimi Nigiri Bento (S$6.50) before joining the queue at the cashier.
I am a big fan of Ghost in the Shell the story means so much to me and I said to myself imma try to make some fanart soon.
Now, with that being said, I did not imagine the first to turn out like this but... I have been following the salmon thing and idk it is the funniest shit ever to me currently I am dying of laughter (which I really needed ngl) So.. to commemorate the joy that has been given to me through some confusing unhinged fish shenanigans... Ghost gets a little salmon too from Mushanga. As a treat.
@amevello-blue I am so sorry and thank you so much.
I'll never be able to look at cohozuna the same way again. I showed my friend what it looks like and they said "It looks like it would wiggle like jelly if you hit it's stomach." Now I see three Grizzco employees trying to be careful and take down cohozuna only to see their last teammate running up to cohozuna and slapping it's belly, causing it to do the jelly wobble thing.
Bought home this All Sashimi Nigiri Bento (S$6.50) from Sushi Express (爭鮮) at their takeout store in Woodlands MRT Station. Came with two pieces each of Grilled Salmon Belly, Salmon, Artic Surf Clam and Swordfish nigiri.
NOTE TO SELF: I really liked the ambiance of this place, but I'm not ranking that. Liz said that's the best pork belly she's ever had. And it was undeniably good, but the salmon tartine was the clear star of this show for me. The escargot fell to a distant third place because the nori suppressed the flavor of the butter. But really, I don't know if I'm ever going to be satisfied by escargot that isn't Spanish style like I had it at Paces & Vine last year.
