So a week ago Official Blu-Ray Illustrations of Lum in various drip were revealed. Though, It was only the line art but they’ll probably reveal the fully colored versions later. But I was bored so tried coloring each of them in the remake’s color palette to make them look official for fun, and here’s the end result…

19. What’s your Tav’s personality like at the beginning of the game? Does it change as the game goes on?

So I decided to go full-in on this question and do a Myers Briggs Personality Test for each of my Tavs. I thought it was fun 🤠

Taversia’s personality type is the Assertive Consul (ESFJ-A).

Consuls are very caring, social, community-minded people who are always eager to help. Assertive Consuls usually regret outcomes rather than behaviors, and are better at self discipline than Turbulent Consuls. Consuls have a talent for making the people in their lives feel supported, cared for, and secure.

Given Taversia’s history serving in the Flaming Fist, I believe that this personality type is true to herself the entire game. She’s always looking to help someone, even at her own expense. She thrives around others and cares for her friends throughout the entire campaign, willing to lay down her life to save someone, even Astarion (they didn’t get along at first lol). Either way, she’s a good companion to have in your party.

Mythrae’s personality type is the Turbulent Defender (ISFJ-T).

Defenders are very dedicated and warm protectors always ready to defend their loved ones. Turbulent Defenders more actively anticipate problems and are quick to blame themselves when something goes wrong. Defenders are true altruists, meeting kindness with kindness-in-excess and engaging with the work and people they believe in with enthusiasm and generosity.

It’s ironic that Mythrae ended up with this personality type since she had the Dark Urge lol. But I think this is true to her character. At first, this doesn’t shine through, because she doesn’t know the people in her party well enough. But as she learns to know and love her party members, her true personality shines through!

Divya’s personality type is the Assertive Campaigner (ENFP-A).

Campaigners are enthusiastic, creative, and sociable free spirits, who can always find a reason to smile. Assertive Campaigners are much more likely to say they see themselves in a positive light, and have control over their emotions. Campaigners are independent and creative, always on the lookout for the magic and meaning in everyday life.

Being an exiled monk, I can see how Divya can take on this personality. She tends to have a very cheerful attitude during the campaign, now allowing the party’s situation ruin her mood. She’s always there to bring a smile to her companion’s faces — even if it comes from Karlach teasing her about her romantic pursuits.

Salome’s personality type is the Assertive Logician (INTP-A).

Logicians are innovative inventors with an unquenchable thirst for knowledge. Assertive Logicians are likely to be more consistent due to confidence in the choices they make and being less influenced by others, and are often endowed with the advantages of more independent and streamlined thought and action. However, this can lead to putting distance between themselves and the people in their lives. Imaginative and curious, Logician personalities can find endless fascination in the workings of their own mind.

As weird as it sounds, this fits Salome pretty accurately — in a very twisted way. Considering she is my evil Dark Urge, the choices she makes and the company she keeps are for her benefit only. If she had it her way, she’d keep the corpse of every character she encountered on her campaign (as if she hasn’t done that already… 👀). She seeks the knowledge of her past, to find out who put her own the Nautiloid, and to have her vengeance — and take down anyone who gets in her way.

listen there really was just something about how in the book, snow’s 3-page descent from hesitant lover boy to deluded psychopath happens entirely in his mind. lucy gray gives him no indication whatsoever that she suspects him, that she’s going to leave or betray him. he’s just sitting quietly in the cabin waiting for her to return when that seed of calculated suspicion, which he has needed to survive the capitol, takes a hold of him and chokes the life out of any goodness left inside him. it really drives home your terror as a reader that “oh my god did he kill her? did she escape? what happened to her? why would he even think that?” in a way that when the movie had to adjust for visualization it lost some of that holy shit this guy has lost it emphasis.

satoru physically withers and crumbles every time you return his belongings. he doesn’t know how to tell you that he can only accidentally on purpose leave his glasses on your nightstand, or his jacket on your couch, or his shirt in your laundry so many times before he loses his mind. every time you don’t take he bait, he folds into himself and wonders why you don’t love him anymore and it costs him $22.50 to hear ieiri tell him to suck it up and use his words because he literally has to buy her company (and drinks).

but when you do take the bait, when you do wear his things, satoru thinks it’s all worth it. he can’t explain why it does what it does to him. it’s a sinister kind of possession he wants to have over you, knowing you’re your own person, free to do as you please, but also knowing you’re caged in him. it’s a lovesick kind of gooeyness that melts his heart seeing you fumble with the sleeves of a sweater that’s too long for you. it’s the vision of you seeing you drowning in him—in his clothes, in his things, in him, in him, in him. he’s selfish, he wants to consume you in as many ways as possible, wants you to drown in him, would die happily knowing you were one tenth as enraptured by him as he is with you. he doesn’t know how or why or when you gained so much power over him, but he doesn’t care, he doesn’t want you to ever stop, so if he has to keep pretending to leave his clothes and bags and glasses around then so be it.
