John is never in his office in the watchtower as he always ends up found and forced to deal with things when he is there. Today is no different only it is Batman that shows up at his door. He is sorely tempted to hide under his desk and pretend to not have seen Batman at the door. Only Spooky probably knows he is there and will just track him down. A deep sigh and regret about not being allowed to smoke in the watchtower he gets up and unlocks the door.
That, he was not expecting that. Batman standing in the doorway to his office with an armful of cats. Two adults, one young cat just out of kittenhood, and a little kitten. The largest cat, ginger tom with a torn up ear and white blaze, glares and growls at him. The other placid adult cat, looks like a one of those fancy gray leopard spotted ones, just bats at the first and chirps happily. The younger black cat dangles from Batman's arms and gives John that judging look only cats can pull off. The kitten is a tiny cinnamon coloured thing puffed up in adorable fury with seething green eyes.
"Fix them." Batman say.
John has the dawning horror that he begins to recognizes the cats the longer he looks at them.

Hi, it's Tim (just Tim) chapter 6
Masterpost
San Francisco was a breath of fresh air. It would have been better if Dick wasn’t shepherding him there like the world’s most anxious and chatty herding dog. Tim halfway wanted to make a break for it to see if Dick would bark at him.
He nobly resisted the urge. He actually hadn’t gotten in trouble for going no contact. Incredibly, Bruce hadn’t noticed that he had been with Superboy. He must really be wound up about the Red Hood.
Speaking of- “What’s the Red Hood done that makes B think I’m the target to be concerned about?” Tim asked.
Dick looked a little ill. He clearly didn’t want to answer. “Well, he’s been pretty clear,” he said apologetically. “Very clear. A lot of metaphors about breaking off your wings that B is taking pretty seriously. It’s like English class all over again,” he complained. Dick scrunched up his face and gestured wildly with his long elegant hands. “There was this like, poetic reference that I didn’t get, but it was about stomping on a bird and crushing all their bones under your boot. B had to look it up.” He cocked his head to the side at the end.
…This guy was referencing poets B didn't know offhand, and they were meant to think he was some big scary thug?
“...So he’s, uh, well-read, then,” Tim concluded, adding it to the very short list of things they knew about the Red Hood. “Loser.”
“We shouldn’t say that,” Dick demurred, which meant ‘lol yeah.”
Tim gave the older bird a judgemental look for even trying as Dick typed in pass codes for Titan Tower. That was their whole thing as Bats. They took information and made deductions. This particular deduction made him feel cockier. While the big bad Red Hood had been wasting time reading, Tim had been studying the blade and uh, making out with a really hot guy. Heh. He couldn't hold in the self satisfied smirk. Hood was a loser. He could use his time much better than by reading moldy old books.
Dick stayed long enough to get Tim settled, but he was clearly anxious to get back to Gotham.
Tim was torn. On the one hand, he did not like essentially being benched. But… Well, he wasn't benched outside of Gotham, Tim decided, wandering through the shared kitchen and rummaging around for a snack. He could go on any Titans mission that came up. He opened the fridge and squinted suspiciously at something in the vegetable crisper.
He had always assumed someone really liked potatoes. But knowing what he did now, he wondered if those were Kon’s groceries. Did the guy just eat raw fruit like some kind of lunatic?
…Maybe no one kept potatoes there after all. He had thought it was weird since he never really saw anyone cook. Tim picked the suspect up and sniffed at it. This ugly thing was a fruit?
Well. He was brave and he was bold. Tim bit through the skin. His teeth sank in with much less resistance than he expected: not a raw potato. It tasted okay. This was Kon’s favorite flavor? Tim had another bite and mulled it over. It was alright. It wasn’t exactly bacon and artichoke pizza or sour cherry candy, though.
Huh. He shut the fridge door with his hip and made his way to his room, planning to drop off his travel bag.
A window opened and slammed shut nearby. Tim detoured to see who it was. His heart beat hard against his chest when he rounded the corner.
“Superboy,” he said casually, as if he hadn't been making out with the guy a couple hours ago.
“Hey, Rob.” Kon breezed past, obviously lost in thought. He stopped midair and frowned. “Do you smell mango?”
Tim hid the half eaten fruit in his utility belt. “No. Maybe you're just hungry.”
Gaslight gatekeep girlbossing worked, as always. Kon let out a “huh,” cocked his head, and zipped away to the kitchen.
Ah, hell. Tim realized he was smiling like a dope to the empty hallway. He wiped the expression from his face and hoped that no one ever reviewed that section of security tape. How embarrassing.
He hid away in his room for a while, letting tactics and plans stew away in his mind. He was hyper aware of the fact that Kon was somewhere in the tower. Was anyone else? He didn't know. He should check.
While he was at it, he should try and hack into whatever B was hiding about the Red Hood on the bat computer. Tim spun idly in his desk chair as he thought it over. Bruce was being twitchy. He wanted Tim so far away from the situation that Tim knew in his gut it would eventually be his problem. That was how this shit always worked; the most dramatic thing possible would happen.
He emerged from his room to find Kon in some kind of argument with Cassie. Tim decided to stay way the fuck away from that. He steered to the living room. Raven looked up from her book, expression flatly unamused.
“Robin.” She acknowledged. Then she looked away.
She was in a great mood, then.
He checked through the logs: it was just the four of them. As Tim watched, Cassie's status dinged to display ‘out of the tower’.
Just the three of them, then. And Raven wasn't going to come seek anyone out.
Tim went Kon hunting. Kon was sprawled out in his room, tossing something up and down. It glittered where it caught the air.
“Superboy,” he said, leaning on the doorframe casually. Did it look casual? Did it look douchey? Tim stood up straight before Kon looked up.
“Hey, Rob,” Kon said. He flashed his toothiest grin at Tim. Fuck, he was pretty. “Did you want something?”
“Yeah, I wanted to talk. Can I come in?”
Kon sat up on his elbows. “Come right the hell in, my dude.” He cocked his head to the side and a curl fell over his face. “Everything alright?” A smile tugged one half of his mouth up mischievously. “Come sit on my lap and tell me all about it.”
The thing was that Kon said shit like that all the time. He said it to Tim, he said it to Cassie, he said it to any number of civilians. Tim had thought that Kon was just being kind of a bitch to him.
“Thanks,” he said easily, and sat with his knees on either side of Kon’s thighs.
Kon’s mouth fell open. Tim waited, but no sound came out.
“I was actually wondering- you say things like that to me a lot,” Tim continued, feeling very smug. Haha, Kon hadn't just been needling him. He'd been pulling pigtails. He wanted Tim, what a loser. “A guy starts to get the impression that you're interested. And…” he dragged his gaze pointedly down Kon’s perfect body. “I'm not disinterested,” he finished coyly.
“Robin.” Kon swallowed visibly. “I uh. I'm really flattered.”
Ah. Fuck. Tim had a very bad feeling.
“I'm kind of seeing someone at the moment.” Kon’s voice cracked. “If- if I hadn't been, I would be all over this. But I am. So.” His hands hovered uselessly a few inches from Tim’s sides.
Well then. Tim slid off Kon’s lap. He didn't let howling frustration show on his face. He was cock blocking himself. “I see,” he said simply. “No worries. I'll see you around.”
“Right.” Kon’s voice cracked again. He shoved his hands in his pockets. His eyes were wild.
Wow. Okay, so life isn't fair. It was good to know. Tim sulked his way back to his room. Well no, actually, he hated this information a lot. But it was useful for his prediction models. He should have known better than to think things would work out.
On the one hand, Kon was apparently loyal to his flavor of the week. Tim could choose to appreciate that, since he was flavor for early September.
Or he could be mad that he'd apparently chosen the wrong ID to flirt with Kon under. He paced an angry circuit in his room around the pile of things he was going to eventually reconstruct. Hell. Fuck. This sucked. Kon had a crush on Robin, the guy he actually knew. What a wasted opportunity!
He calmed down enough to think.
Of course that was when sirens went off. Tim booked it to the landing pad, pulling up the alert on his wrist computer on the way.
They had a mission. Okay. Tim compartmentalized away all the mortification. He could deal with it after they got back.

Thoughts on the episode??
Okay so, I have A LOT of thoughts, anon. And thank you for your patience with my answer. I generally like to rewatch the ep before posting my thoughts so I have time to calm down and make sense of things.
Let’s start with things I loved:
The accidental proposal scene. Oh my god. I could write a novel (and I might write a fic) on the emotions you could see in their faces in that scene! When Alexi said there was a scene that would launch a thousand gifs, I’m assuming he meant that one (and he was right)
The dance! I love that Tim came to find her despite being mad. And that he was ready to talk. And I will never be over the way he holds her so close and that they’re almost leaning their heads together as they have that conversation
Lucy’s I love you, of course! These two have affirmed how serious they are and that they’re going to make this work numerous times now. They haven’t actually done the hard work yet, though. I think it’s gonna be fun (and probably absolutely heartbreaking at times) to watch them realize how hard they’re gonna have to fight for it
Lastly, the writers are setting up a great storyline for Aaron this season, and I’m interested to see how that plays out. It’s clear he’s struggling but is more focused on getting back on duty than actually healing. I’m actually really looking forward to how that unfolds. I’m also glad Harper was able to see what’s going on and give Celina some guidance on how to support him in a healthy way, and that Celina was able to take that to heart
Okay, next up: things I’m a little unsure about. I’ll admit, my initial reaction to the lie detector scene and resolution of the chenford fight wasn’t super positive. With my rewatch I’ve come around to it a little more. Tim definitely has trauma and he’s definitely been denying it. Which is what he’s really always done, so it makes sense.
I think what bugs me is that it makes the issue seem one-sided when, from my perspective, there’s absolutely no way Lucy isn’t also battling some internal conflict about this. She knows he’s still traumatized, which to me means she has to be wondering how her going UC is going to impact their relationship. I don’t see how she can’t be also harboring some worries. And I think Tim was right when he said she was projecting. My hope is that they unpack her feelings about it this season as well.
I’m holding off my overall judgement until the entire thing plays out, because I know this was just one piece of it. They’ve set up a complex issue for these two, so I’m hoping the resolution is given the screen time and care it deserves.
But I do think Tim finally working to come to terms with his trauma is a good start. He’s come a long way, and you can tell he so badly wants to be supportive of Lucy. He’s trying SO HARD. And his admission at the end that he’ll work on it because his trauma shouldn’t hold her back from her dreams… I LOVED that conversation. I think it was so important for him to realize that and for Lucy to hear him say it.
And lastly: the one thing I still didn’t like after rewatching is the I love you portion of the lie detector scene. I just don’t like that Lucy felt she needed a lie detector to prove that. Maybe that wasn’t how they meant it. Maybe they meant it to be interpreted as her asking because she knew it was true and was testing the machine. But to me it doesn’t come across that way and it’s just not my favorite.
But overall, I thought it was a fun episode! Can’t believe we made it to 100! Here’s to 100 more!!

Jason Todd Imcorrect quotes (2/??)
Continuation of this post . Probably 2/2 until like, the next four years or sth
Angsty quotes I probably will add in some fic somewhen. They are also for adoption, they have no home yet. I am just very salty about this.
Bruce: we don’t kill, Jason!
Jason: why? Why can’t we? Why is this your line in the sand when there is no other fucking line you won’t cross!
Bruce: because if we do it we will be just as bad as them!
Jason: Bruce you sanctimonious fuck, I don’t want to be better! I just want to be safe!
Dick: why can’t you understand? We don’t kill! we can’t be judge, jury and executioner!
Jason: why not? We certainly don’t have judges or juries here!
Dick: just because the system is corrupt-
Jason: when I was murdered, where was my judgment? When did the judge pass the sentence, when did the jury declare him innocent? When was the dead penalty discarded?
Dick: …you know why Jason Todd could not have a public judgement
Jason: then what was it, was it private and you decided to leave my death unpunished or is he awaiting my judgement?
Dick: oh little wing-
Jason: my anger and my rage are not unjustified. They are just inconvenient for Batman’s crusade. Fuck you and your righteous fucking convenience.
Tim: you don’t understand! Bruce was broken after you died and Batman needs a robin!
Jason: I did not die. I was murdered.
Tim: I know. Bruce never got over failing to save you
Jason: why is his grief more important than my pain? Why must his needs overcome mine?
Tim: …he’s Batman
Jason: I see. so he’s not replaceable. But his robins aparently are.
Tim: no! That’s not-
Jason: better tread carefully then, replacement.
Bruce: you killed a man. You broke my rules!
Jason: and I will do it again. What will you do about it, then, big man, throw me to your justice?
Bruce: I will take you in like the rest of the criminals in this city
Jason: it will not stick. Thanks to your methods, I am a dead boy that doesn’t exist. I cannot be thrown in jail.
Bruce: you think I can’t put you under a fake Id?
Jason: you will go the extra mile to hurt me, but not for those that hurt me. Father of the year.
Now the less angsty ones. To break off with a laugh or sth
Goon 1: boss, we have a problem.
Red hood: *sighs deeply* what is it now, Fred?
Goon 1: …you know my name? There has been…a confusion in one of the orders, boss
Red hood: oh?
Goon 2: it appears someone mislabeled the… um, SEAL-quality equipment for-
*LOUD BRAYING CAN BE HEARD*
red hood: …how many live seals are in Gotham right now, Ricky
Goon 2: that;s um. a lot. Sir.
Goon 1: I think over twenty, boss
Red hood: and what am I supposed to do with 20 fucking seals?
Goon 2: I-i think they are actually an endangered species? So, so maybe you can, like, open a-
Red hood: no. No. I refuse. No. I will not end up my crime lord days to build an animal reserve. No.
Goon 1: we could also kill them sir. Their fur is expensive and crime alley could always stand to have more food
Red hood: we are not doing that.
Goon 2: I mean, we have done worse things for less money boss
Red hood: you want your ankles to be bitten to death by an angry toddler? Because this is how you get an angry toddler bit your ankles to death with his swords. Two of them.
Goon 1: is…is that a new rogue, boss?
Red hood: worse. Excuse me I gotta make a call
Red hood, on the phone: hey, baby demon, I got sth for you- what no, it’s not from Talía- shut up I do nice things for you on my own- oh fuck you habibi -you would be the bigger disappointment but you aren’t tall enough -oh? Did the baby get angry? Did the baby want a time out?- wait no, don’t pass the phone you co- yes. Hi B. No. Fuck you. No. Asshole. I’m hanging up.
The goons: …
Red hood: *picks up phone yet again* dickhead if you hang on me I swear to god I will haunt you-oh, sorry. Is dick there? Pass him the phone, please, it’s important. *a beat* dick, why did that random man pick up your phone- midnighter? And I thought I had the daddy issues. No wait! I have over 20 seals and I have to get rid of them- stop laughing you asshole!! *hangs up furiously*
Red hood: *turns to the goons* tomorrow the someone will come to pick up the seals. Probably an Atlantean. ETA 8 PM. Be ready or else *leaves*
Goons: …
Goon 1: I thought I knew how phone calls worked but apparently I don’t.
Goon 2: …me neither.

my take on this episode
so i opened the tag just briefly but it was enough and tbh i expected the negativity from the fandom, but i have my own input which might help put things in perspective.
first and foremost, remember, this is NOT the chenford show. I mean we might be watching mainly for them, but the rookie is an "everyone's important show" and we already had a couple episodes heavily focused on tim and lucy getting together so it would be too much to also devote an entire scene to every one of the characters finding out and making it a big deal. that's something for fanfics to cover. tim asking only lucy if she's okay in front of everyone and angela's knowing look was a very tasteful and subtle way to cover it in my opinion. (i too expected a reveal scene, but i understand why they didn't include it. the show and the other characters' lives don't revolve around tim and lucy and honestly? it's better that way, cause it's in sync with how they came to be together—subtly and quietly between pages).
second, it's been a while since we had any of these other golden interactions between the other characters. I mean, grey hazing nolan? tim calling someone "boot"? smitty shenanigans? wesley and angela back at it being a badass lawyer and detective together? also, celina finally getting some progress and development as a rookie and also establishing a dynamic between her and grey? lucy having to clean smitty's trailer being a callback to when jackson went to live with him and couldn't stand it? all these beautiful aspects of the show also need time and space to play out.
i am a hardcore chenford shipper, but we should all be able to take a step back from our shipping minds now and then and appreciate other elements of a show as well, and not base our entire judgement of an episode on how many chenford interactions there were.
also I'm pretty sure there are going to be many more delectable chenford scenes, we just have to wait and trust the narrative process, because if anything, it's proven that the writers know what we want and they have done their best to satisfy us without also making the show a fan service.

i know we talk about fanon sometimes like it's a monolith, but actually i have an argument that the fanon(tm) is actually a little more diverse than we think sometimes and i say this because i have categorized and subtyped the various different kinds.
so to start, we have two broad categories: category 1//pre-ethiopia fanon and category 2//post-ethiopia fanon. pre-ethiopia canon is by and large much more simple and straightforward. post-ethiopia is where we start to see more variety and different subtypes.
tim:
pre-ethiopia: probably skipped two grades. bad parents jack and janet simultaneously care immensely about both tim taking over the company one day and also don't care at all about ensuring their son actually survives until adulthood to do so. survival of the fittest, baby, you're a failure of an heir if you can't use the stove independently by age 4. free space of "criminal neglect" being mentioned at some point. camera stalker to the point where he has batman's patrol routes memorized. jason is definitely his idol.
post-ethiopia: subtype (a)//robin: bad parents jack and janet remain (even though janet should have died years ago), leaving tim all alone in the cold drake manor. this 15 year old, rather than reveling in this independence allowing him more freedom to do robin without having to worry about his parents, is immensely sad about this state of affairs. bruce probably hates him for not being jason. jason hates him until he realizes that tim is "just a kid" who has "bad parents" and needs to be saved. physical abuse from his dad highly likely. most likely jason is his idol, but there may be some mention about how much he loves dick. subtype (b)//red robin: addicted to coffee, hasn't slept in weeks. everyone in the batfamily simultaneously hates him and depends on him to keep the entire operation running without any thanks or recognition. nobody loves him, definitely thinks he's not part of the family. they will have to prostrate themselves when they realize the damage they've done to him. subtype (c)//the jerk: a far rarer type of fanon, but still fanon all the same. this subtype is the anti-tim fanon, a backlash fanon, where basically all of tim's bad traits are amplified to the point where he is borderline sociopathic, doesn't really have any sympathy or care for anyone else, and is so super judgemental and snotty to the point that yes, he is no longer recognizable as tim drake and this is officially a fanon. and not that tim doesn't ever show bad traits in canon (he is flawed, like all of them), but really. he does care about other people immensely. he cares about gotham immensely. they all do. even if chuck dixon used him for heavy-handed conservative messages in the 90s, these aren't, like, enduring character traits. most likely to be seen if we're trying to promote another batboy who is getting woobified.
jason:
pre-ethiopia: the only panels that matter are "robin gives me magic" and anything that implies a love of school/good grades. no negative traits, if we give him any negative traits then we are feeding into the idea that he was a "bad" robin just like dc tries to do. so, so focused on the victims and downtrodden of gotham (probably more than dick ever did) which is why tim admires him so much. he is Of The City. immediately zeros in on tim as a victim of terrible parents. ever kind and understanding and sympathetic. a true champion of the people. calls bruce dad, hyphenated his last name. calls dick "dickhead" as a term of loving endearment and dick is seemingly okay with this.
post-ethiopia: subtype (a)//red hood: lazarus pit madness, baby. not at fault for anything he did, it was all the pit. once the anger fades, he realizes that he has turned into the monster who killed him and he feels great shame for this, has to make amends (most likely to tim, for titans tower). subtype (b)//sadboy jason: woobified jason is just sad :( his dad didn't love him, his brother didn't love him, they replaced him. he just wants to go home, desperately. the batfamily must make amends for not grieving him well enough/let him know how much they love and miss him and then he can go home. highly likely was damian's beloved brother in the league and considered talia his mom.
dick:
pre-ethiopia: only eats cereal. comes home every weekend to do his laundry (u know what, good on u dick. i too went home a lot of weekends after i moved out so i wouldn't have to pay for coin laundry at my apartment complex. it's called being smart and strategic.) and hang out with his dad, bruce, and little brother, jason. also has a hyphenated last name. a little dim. always happy. all about the hugs.
post-ethiopia: subtype (a)//nightwing: is allowed to be a good brother to tim, but will never be tim's favorite. feels immensely guilty about how terribly he treated jason as robin, must make amends for this. very bland personality. subtype (b)//post-dickbats: devil incarnate. plays favorites with his brothers and has room in his heart to only love two (neither of which are tim), that is until he realizes how badly he has treated tim and feels immensely bad and guilty that he's ignored tim for so long and then is finally able to redeem himself. probably threatened tim with arkham and told everyone tim was nuts. subtype (c)//dick actually gets to be woobified for once: on rare occasion, dick gets to be the one who gets constantly downtrodden and used by his siblings even if this isn't actually really super in character for them. like i said, super rare. usually seen so that dick can lose his temper at his siblings who are being immature jerks for no reason. cathartic if you're tired of dick being beat down by the writers at dc, but still fanon imo because you have to rely on someone (usually tim) acting more out of character and far more immature towards dick than normal canon and more fanon-y relationship dynamics (such as tim & damian constantly fighting and really hating each other) to get to this point. ....will kind of infantilize an adult man in his mid-twenties.
damian:
pre-ethiopia: actually gets two subtypes!! subtype (a)//doesn't exist: damian who? subtype (b)//young child: we bring him in as a 3 year old, and he's basically a totally different character. probably only meaningful character trait is total adoration for his older brothers.
post-ethiopia: subtype (a)//meanest child in the world: hates tim, is actively trying to murder him constantly and make sure that tim knows he is not a wayne/not welcome in the family. revels in having successfully stolen all of dick's love and attention. no character growth and all the adults just let him be mean without addressing the behavior, everything gets handwaved because of how he was brought up, but it's clear he knows right from wrong and is specifically choosing to do wrong. subtype (b)//he's just a 10 year old, so we have to treat him like *checks notes* a 5 year old: actually incapable of knowing right from wrong because of his upbringing, and he can't be at fault or responsible for any of his behavior because he's only 10 years old, and 10 year olds are too young to know any better when they've grown up in the league, despite extensive education on all subjects growing up likely including philosophy and morality. likely to be the woobified and infantilized one here. needs to be treated like a 3 year old with kid gloves because he's just a kid, after all. when he realizes he is "bad", he is very depressed and sad. often has no knowledge of the outside world, must be taught by his ever patient and loving brothers.

Ur my fav timlex mutual, so I have to personally ask bcuz I need to know if other people agree with me but, how do you feel about I'm Your Man by Mitski being very much timlex?
First, thank u very much, thats so nice of u to say :3
Second: Yes yes yes. Its on my playlist for them, and god does it bring out the feelings. Mitski has such a raw and aching sound in that song, and the lyrics ohhh my godddd
Tumblr media
This first set already is just…WSHDMSMMF. The christianity symbolism. Canine symbolism. Saying she’ll destroy you as if she’s a god. One of the best part of timlex is that they both blame themselves for all the terrible things that happened. They both think that they will destroy the other.
Tumblr media
Oh mu god. I think i hauve covid. This is the point in the song that i either zone out staring at the wall or start visibly tearing up. Again, could be taken from either point of view, cause theyre both just that miserable and in love.
Tumblr media
These lines always distinctly reminded me of the end of the series. Where Alex and Tim are the only two left, and they know that no matter what, one of them will not be walking away from this alive. They both know its coming and that when it does theyll get their final judgement in the afterlife, something something religious references.
Tumblr media
Them both feeling like theyre each the most to blame and hesitating to put any blame on the others like Jay or Brian or even Alex/Tim (depending on who’s pov). Back in an instance where theyre in love, i picture them completely devoted and especially in alex’s case, unwilling to think of tim as having done anything wrong. Alex sees all of his own actions as a betrayal of Tim trusting Alex to be around him.
Anyway yep 10/10 good song. Definitely makes me feel very normal and sane

Trick or Treat :)) - @chipmunkery
HAPPPY HALLOWWEEEEENNNNNNNNN
listen Chip the absolute AUDACITY you have to send me a trick or treat like you and Bean haven't read literally everything in my WIP folder that isn't absolutely ancient sldjjflaksdjafk
okay no it's fine I'll find something. I can find something you haven't read!! it'll take me a while but. I can do it!!
mmmm I found a JayDick one but it's kind of a bummer and I know you've been down lately lmk when you're up for that one
...I also found a TimKon one that's a huge bummer damn it
OKAY WAIT I FOUND ONE SNIPPET, IT'S OLD AND I HAD TO EDIT IT A LITTLE BIT BUT!! IT'S GOT TIM AND BART FOR YOU!!!
~ ✨ ~
Bart’s door opened before Tim was done knocking, as usual. He always beat the mechanism that slid it open.
“Tim!” He grinned, but it fell off his face after a second, leaving him looking disappointed. “Oh, uh, didyouneed something?”
Guilt twisted in Tim’s stomach. God, he really was being a shit friend if the first thing Bart assumed was that he needed something from him.
“Nope. I just… thought you might want to hang out.”
“What? You never ask me to hang out anymore!”
“That’s not—” he started, but Bart already had an eyebrow raised and his arms crossed.
He tried to even think of the last time they spent time together, and all he could come up with were times Bart had dragged him out of his room, or times the whole group had something to do, or times they happened to both be in the tower at the same time.
“Okay, fine,” Tim sighed. “I… maybe haven’t been the best friend lately. And I’m sorry.”
“Sorry for something you maybe did?”
Tim rolled his eyes, but Bart was grinning, so it can’t have been too bad. “Sorry for something I definitely did. I was being an asshole.”
“And the word ‘was’ right there, that implies that you’re done being an asshole?” Bart asked, batting his eyelashes.
“Just tell me whatever we’re doing today,” Tim sighed.
“Sheesh, I guess that’s a no,” Bart said, but he was still grinning, and the thing that had been twitching anxiously in Tim’s chest settled. “We’re going on a field trip!”
“No, Bart, I have stuff to do today!”
“When?” Bart asked, still giving him big, pleading eyes that worked on 95% of the people they knew.
And maybe, sometimes, they worked on Tim too.
“…I have a few hours, I guess.”
“Yes!” Bart jumped up. “Alright, let’sgo!” Tim’s stomach lurched as they moved, the room blurring around them, before it settled a second too quickly. They were about a foot away from where they’d been standing. “Sorrysorry, we were halfway there when I realized — do you have everything you need?”
Tim grinned against his better judgement, ruffling Bart’s hair. “Let me grab my shoes.”

...............................
Kon stared at the building nervously. He knew logically that meeting her changed nothing. That all this was just more a formality than anything else but to him his whole world was changing. This was groundbreaking. Even more so than heroes coming back from the 'dead'. Rising from the dead was old hat now. Finding out Lex has had other partners (other than his creepy obsession with Clark) was mind blowing and then to find out you have a half sister… that was… it is… ok, Kon was terrified, but he refused to show it.
"Arewejustgoingtojuststandhereorcanwegoinnow? I'm hungry!"
Rousing from his musing, Kon turned to his moral support, his chosen family, to find Bart bouncing on his feet. His eyes darted about the place as he watched Parisians rush about doing civilian stuff. Tim just raised an eyebrow at Kon as the tired teen leaned against Cassie.
"Yeah Kon. Why are we here?"
Cassie smirked back at Kon, the pair reading him all too clearly. Deciding to take back control and not let these so-called friends bully him, Kon steeled himself.
"One, Bart we will. In a minute. I'm just… just hang on a moment. Two. Rob, Tim, /you/ need a break, a holiday after like everything. This is what you need, an escape from the grime of Gotham to the city of lights, which still has Gothic architecture so your not completely not at home."
"A place that I trained with Shiva and only last year almost got blown up and killed in. Good choice of a getaway, Kon."
"Uhhhh, ok, you know the place and /we're/ here too. So it is a break. And Three, Cassie is here as we're the core four. We can't exclude her."
"Nope, you can't exclude me. That doesn't say why you're not going in though, Kon. You scared?"
"What!? No!! Maybe… this is life changing for me and as my family, I want you here with me."
Ignoring his friends' chuckles, Kon pouted. They were right about him being scared and all, and if he didn't move soon he'd be late. Drawing on the courage he usually used to take on aliens and villainous masterminds Kon took a step forward out into the busy Parisian street traffic to collide with another teen.
Admittedly he hardly felt anything but the girl bounced off him and onto the floor with an oof. Staring down, cornflower blue eyes blink back up at him in surprise. Cherry blush lips are sucked together before being bitten as the cutie winces as she moves to stand grasping her iced coffee tight. An 'Eeeeps' escapes her as Kon feels his friends leaning over his shoulder to stare down at her.
Shrugging them off, Kon extended a hand to the bruised teen whose callused fingers accepted. What felt like electricity passed between them, eyes widening in shock as they continued to take each other in. Kon felt hypnotised by the cornfield eyes, in a good way - not in a bad guy going to take over. His heart sped up as he swallowed. He offered the girl an apologetic smile and opened his mouth to speak when she beat him to it.
"Zut alors!!! You're built like a brick. That was like running into a wall. Baguettes!! I'm late!! Bonjour, thank you! Sorry!! Au Revoir!!"
Sending him an awkward grin, the teen let go of his hand and dashed off towards the building he had been working his way up to entering, downing her drink at an impressive rate.
"DoyouthinksheisyoursisterKon??"
"Dark hair, blue eyes match. Skin tones are different though. It is a possibility."
"She doesn't have to take after Lex either. Kon looks more like Clark anyway so definitely a chance. And she went into the location that Kons agreed to meet his sister."
"Gods! I hope she isn't."
"What?" "What!" "Judgement much!!"
Kon pulled his hand down his face and groaned. Damnit, he she seemed… nice, even if a tad chaotic and he would adore getting to know her more… but they had a moment and it didn't feel like a sibling moment.
"No, I, errrr… let's just go get this over with."
The quartet entered the Le Grand Paris Hotel to witness the fallen teen dart into an elevator. Resisting the urge to follow the dark-haired girl, Kon stuffed his hands into his leather jacket and walked up to the hotel's reception desk.
"Hi, I'm here to meet Chloe Bourgeois. I think I have an appointment."
Kon was met with a hugely judgemental look which only increases when his friends get closer. They tip tapped away on the keyboard while looking at the computer screen. With a scrunched up frown they seemed to be appeased by whatever they were searching for.
"Miss Bourgeois is on the top floor by the pool. You can't miss her. The top floor is reserved for our most honoured guests, so please do not disturb them with whatever you require from the young heiress."
"Err… ok. Yeah, sure."
The core four piled into the elevator and rode it up to the roof. Meeting them at the top was a red headed girl who escorted them to Chloe. Kon was dumbfounded as Chloe was blonde. His friends also seemed surprised as this wasn't who they expected. The harsh icy blue eyes were a spitting image of Lex, and her harsh tongue to both the redhead and his friends was frustratingly similar. Clenching his fists, he ignore the irritation and sat down as his friends waved him off and wished him luck as they went off with Sabrina to let Kon and Chloe get to know each other.
Trying to connect with Lex's daughter was… painful. If he was the son of Clark with a sprinkling of Lex, Chloe was the daughter of Lex with a sprinkling of her mother, but at the same time what she gave way about her mother made it sound like she was just as bad. Her drivel was sucking out his soul. The nervous and excited energy he once was being crushed.
What didn't help him, as Kon tried to focus on what his half sister was saying, was across the way was the petite teen who'd crashed into him earlier talking animatedly with the Jagged Stone! He could hear her with her light giggle. He could see her with her tongue pointing out her mouth as she concentrated and putting something down in her note book.the way the sun hit her, lot her up sonit was like she glowed. It was cute. It was adorable. It was attractive. It was very very distracting.
Chloe said something meaningless to Kon, and he replied still keeping an eye on the semi mysterious girl on the other side of the roof. The conversation had somehow drifted to Lex and his hair, or lack of it as Chloe bemoaned her fears of inheriting that gene. Kon could admit he had that fear too and joined in moaning about their joint parent, all the while sending glancing looks across the water.
Suddenly he jumped up, startling Chloe, as he witnessed a CROCODILE appear and start biting the girl. She screamed in surprise as the other teen started to wrestle with the beast. Kon went to help when Chloe grabbed his arm.
"What the hell Conner!!"
"There's a guest being mauled by a crocodile!! We need to help!!"
"What? Where?"
"Over there!!!!"
Kon shot his half sister an incredulous look. Was she blind. Why wasn't she let him go, he didn't want to hurt her, but, this was serious.
"*Huff* oh my god! This is ridiculous! Utterly utterly ridiculous. Sabrina!! SABRINA!"
Frowning, Kon swiftly but carefully removed Chloe's grip from his arm and rushed towards the incident. He found he was met by his friends who had rushed to help to observe the 'injured' teen tickling and baby talking to the giant reptile.
"Who's a good boy? Who's a good boy? Fangs a good boy, the cutest. Who wants all the attention. Was Jagged taking up all my attention Fang? He was, wasn't he."
Kon was confused. This was not what he was expecting. Ok maybe he had been hoping he'd come in to save the day and get a hero's kiss from the girl (if she wasn't too badly hurt obviously!). Finding her playing and treating the monster as if it was a puppy was… unexpected. He turned to the other Young Justice members who were just as bemused as he was.
"CanIpethimtoo?"
Bart's enthusiastic question followed by peering over the girl's shoulder spooked the fellow teen who let out a loud squeak of surprise. She tipped back to look up and see everyone but by doing so shifted her weight so that she fell.
Into the pool with a loud splash!
Without thinking, Kon shucked off his leather jacket and dived in seamlessly as the dark haired beauty floundered in the water by the unexpected dip. With grace Kon swam to her and pulled her to the side of the pool where his friends helped pull her out.
Pushing himself out he joined the growing gathering to gently rub the back of the now spluttering teen.
"Dupain-Cheng you are a disaster. A major clutz! Sabby, Darling get the riff raff a towel… and one for Luthor-Kent. I suppose he needs one too. And keep the water away from my hair!!"!
"C-c-c-cheers Chloe. L-l-l-ovely feedback. I'll file it-t-t-t with the rest of yo-ur crit-t-ti-ques."
Impervious to Kon's discontent with how the conversation was going as he tried to soothe the partially drown victim, Chloe continued.
"As you should do. Mummy thinks you have potential and you need to aspire to improve to avoid disappointment."
Dupain-Cheng rolled her eyes as she coughed more and shivering. Kon wrapped her closer trying to warm her up with his Kryptonian 'warmer than normal' body. He grab the towels off Sabrina as she returned and started to wrap Dupain-Cheng up in one before draping one around himself
"Chloe… that's… what the hell!?"
"MINI ROCKSTAR!!"
"Oh g-g-g-ods! S-s-sabrina, s-save me! Jag-g-g-ged is go-i-ing t-t-to go nuts-s-s-s!"
"Marinette I'll… I'll try but this is."
Before the redhead could finish her sentence, the over dramatic rockstar appeared with his manager in tow. He pulled Marinette from Kon's grasp, who pouted, and started fussing over her trying to bark orders about, with his manager shutting them down as quickly as he came up with them.
Chloe whistled a piercing sound as she glowered at everyone who turned to face her.
"Ms Rolling, take Mr Stone and his pet to his room. He is upsetting other guests and you know what Daddy's terms are about him staying here. Sabby, go to my room and get Dupain-Cheng some dry clothes. Last seasons and not the nice stuff either…. and see if the spa had anything that may fit Luthor-Kent. The rest of you sit!!"
Cassie looked like she wanted to say something but Chloe's glare shut it down. Slowly everyone moved to following the instructions in a cautious manner.
"Th-thank you."
The soft whisper of a voice caught Kon's attention.
"For s-s-saving me, that is. A-a-and f-f-for helping m-me warm up-p"
"No problem Cuteness. It's all in the hero's job."
The arched eyebrow caused Kon to pause and blush as he watched her bluebell eyes sparkle in the light and processed what he said.
"S-s-uppose you are m-my hero t-today."
Kon grinned at the comment, warmth rushed through him as at least some of what he had hoped for happened. Lifting an arm around her shoulder, Kon pulled her closer, rubbing it a little more to try and dry Marinette off and warm her up more.
"Yurgh! Gross. Now this is ridiculous, utterly ridiculous."
Kon and Marinette blinked up at Chloe.
"You are not going to play cutsy with my brother Dupain-Cheng!"
"B-b-rother?!"
As Marinette tried to lean away, Kon held her close and narrowed his eyes at his half sister.
"Yes. Half, thankful. Did you see what he considered fashionable? Disgraceful."
"I… I was-sn't aware Audrey had other child, other than Z-z-zoe."
Chloe sniffed in disgust.
"Mummy doesn't. Father does."
"Mr Bourgeois?!"
Marinette's exclamation was louder than expected causing Kon to wince at the volume change.
"Not Daddy!! Father."
The bitter tone was clear to see and Kon marvelled as the girl in his arms softened at Chloe's poorly hidden feelings. Despite Chloe brashness towards her Marinette seemed to still care about her. It reminded Kon of Tim and his ever bleeding heart with his family. His 'wrap them up in bubble wrap' senses started to tingle as the girls eyed each other with caution.
"Oh. OOooh, I'm sorry Chlo."
"Whatever! Stop playing cutesy with Conner. I don't know if either of you are up to standards for each other. And his puppy eyes are just infuriating."
Chloe looked up and huffed.
"Sabrina's here. Take the clothes and sort yourselves out."
Reluctantly, Kon let the shivering Marinette out of his arms to go collect clothes and change. He looked up to find a pensive expression on Chloe's face as she scrutinised him.
"You like her?"
"Maybe. I don't really know her, but I'd like to."
"Hmmm." Chloe eyed him critically for what felt eternity, "Dupain-Cheng has been through a lot of grief over the years. We may be blood, but I will hurt you if you hurt her. She is a… chosen distant relative that you want to hide. I will protect her from you Luthor."
Kon searched deeply at Chloe's expression before his lips twitched on a fond amusement. She may act as cold as Lex, and detached as Audrey and as callus as Marinette's fingers, but that's what it was. An act. The blustering earlier, she was sussing him out, playing the spoilt rich brat card. Behaving as Luthor would expect from her. Standing, Kon wrapped Chloe up in a hug and cackled as she screeched about her hair and tried to escape his damp grasp.
"I'll be careful Chloe, promise."
Looking over to his friends, Kon smirked as he watched them chatter amongst themselves judging him. Letting go of his sister, Kon grabbed the outfit Sabrina offered him with a swagger sort of grace and walked off.
"You best do, Kent-Luthor! I've got my eye on you!"
Laughter escaped Kon's lips as he went to change. This meeting hadn't been too bad. He had a girl to go get to know. He even sort of, maybe, connected slightly with his sister.

Just thinking of a fix it AU for TMA where Sasha isn’t Not-Them’d. Jon’s still a little traumatized and paranoid because of finding Gertrude, but his paranoia doesn’t get as bad because Not-Sasha isn’t there constantly fuelling it. Tim and he have a better relationship because of that but also because Tim doesn’t lose Sasha and lose trust in everyone around him. But most importantly, Jon keeps a friend because when he starts showing signs of monster-ness, Sasha doesn’t start being wary or afraid of him, but goes full on mad scientist mode.
I much prefer characterization of Sasha where she gets to be just as flawed as Jon, and just a as curious and susceptible to Beholding as he is. I find the idea that she would’ve done everything better if she were the Archivist a really boring one, that does her character a disservice. Sasha being a mirror of Jon, and having strengths he doesn’t but also having less moral qualms than him in some areas is a lot more interesting to me! So I love the idea of Jon starting to become The Archivist and starting to fall into self disgust etc. and Sasha just going “what are the parameters for this? Let’s figure this out together, with science!” And everyone else having to reign her in. She’s respectful of Jon’s boundaries when she realizes they’re there, but is also too curious for either of their own goods.
But! Her complete lack of judgement over his new state of being helps Jon’s self esteem, and even if Tim does have some issues with Jon (that again, never get AS bad just bc Not Sasha isn’t ramping up Jon’s paranoia from a 6 to an 11) he has to admit that one of his favourite people in the world is just as bad, really. Everything is fixed not because Sasha is perfect and so much better than Jon, but because she’s just as flawed and messy as he is.

Vampire fanfiction Clark Kent human x Richard Grayson vampire no capes or tights but fangs and might.
Richard pov
We made it to Thor's place it was a beautiful tower in a private property two hours away from Gotham close to a big lake. I believe it is not where Thor usually stays.
Alfred drove us there it was cold out and the snow still is kicking our ass. It would pelt down non-stop.
We walked towards the tower as the door automatically opened for us a man led us in. Me and Clark wonder in the tower Alfred stayed behind in the car it wasn't far I wasn't waiting for a room full of vampires and I also see Jason sitting in the front row among them two chairs are at the front of the room.
"Please sit down the both of you usually I would be sitting in the front but I wanted to hear what your Clark had to say." Thor's voice carried I couldn't see him he didn't make himself visible to me the stone walls and the teal decor with cool colours made this room more formal.
Until I noticed him and Tim. Tim tied up in a chain by the neck like a dog. At least he is wearing clothes or more like rags.
I watched them for a moment and Thor motioned for us to sit down. I looked where Jason was sitting with a frown on his face, I didn't know what to expect I don't ever go to these types of things like trials.
We sit and I feel the whole room shift. "We are here as a clan to witness what crime is done on your Grace has been committed by Tim." Tim never looked away from where me and Clark are sitting as Thor kept talking about the gravity of these crimes that are clan is here to help the human race not feed off of them like cattle.
Blue eyes pierce mine I didn't understand this but at this moment I realised that Tim didn't like me, And at this moment I know now he hasn't like me for a very very long time.
"I wish to hear from Clark." Thor said watching us intently he had a gaze as if he understood what I was thinking about and he wanted me to listen instead he read my mind like a book.
"My name is Clark Kent." Clark got up his seat and the vampires in the room laughed at him for being so not like us and just getting up formally introducing himself like he was in school, He also insisted in dressing himself in a suit I didn't own anything that would fit Clark but Bruce did.
Clark wasn't a hundred percent right in the head right now but he wanted to look professional I didn't know why maybe it was just him, He wanted to make a good impression I also didn't know why he thought that I indulged him in going into Bruce's closet and finding what he needed to make a first impression to a bunch of vampires.
"Sit down teacher you're not on trial but this fool is." Thor jingled the chain on Tim's neck I don't know why when Thor doing that triggers Clark he sat down fast on his seat never looking in Tim's direction. "I am here because the reason why he's in chains by your feet is because I mentioned he is consuming human blood he blames me for being in this position right." Clark explained crossing his leg looking straight ahead not looking in anyone's direction.
"He got himself in trouble not you teacher." Thor assured him.
"I panic though everything about him made me back away from him, His true nature came out in front of you and the werewolf's in that room I didn't mean to get him in trouble fear over took my judgement." Clark said. At this point I felt a shift in Clark he wasn't scared like he was when he first sat down or even enter this place.
"I don't know what to call you." Clark addresses Thor.
"Thor's fine teacher." Thor replied a smile on his face watching us intently.
"Thor you believed me right away when I told you something hidden about him, He did manipulate my mind into rubbish he made me believe Richard was doing awful things to me he didn't know me really." I thought that was weird Clark is in full control of this situation he is a bit demented none the less confident in what he's saying though.
"What do you mean teacher elaborate more on what he didn't know about you." Thor asked. I watched for something in Thor I got the hint Clark is leading this somewhere.
"Well when he entered my mind I entered his I no all of his victims every single one each victim is telling their story as we speak." Thor leaned forward in his chair I guess this is where Clark is leading us.
"I am not sure I am following." Thor asked he wasn't confused he just needed to hear what Clark has to say.
"His victims name A Harvey Dent is his latest victim he's an attorney in Gotham, Tim would go to the bar every Wednesday night frequenting this place. He didn't know Tim was a vampire he didn't know he was being stalk by him he is innocent like any human. He didn't kill him he was lucky to escape him." Clark looked like he is in a trance like state talking about this person who he had never met yet is able to pick apart this man's life.
"You see all of this then."
"He's lying." Tim out of nowhere protested his innocents Thor yanked the chain on his neck hard. "Silence." Thor hissed at Tim who didn't coward away from Thor's venom.
"You nicknamed him two faces you made him crazy like me you would take his blood unwillingly, He didn't want that from you yet you told two tribes you pay them and they came willingly Harvey didn't want that from you." Clark eyes glowed blue his brown eyes gone I am wondering what is going on.
"You underestimated Harvey and he escaped you."
"He is lying."
"He is worse than Thalia and Ghul at least they stuck together being evil but you hate Richard, And I could confess Richard is not evil." Clark went on.
"I thought you were a good descent. I was wrong about you and I was right in backing away from you." Clark accused crossing his arms legs now uncross.
"You made me roll around in the snow like a fool crying in front of my boyfriend." I was shocked when he said the word boyfriend it made all of this more real and this made me happy to no end.
"I never have done those things to you I've only just met you and you're with Richard why would I go after you." Tim felt brave enough to defend his innocents it fell flat on me.
"Don't test me Tim I had to shake this crazy off of me for three months with the help of Richard by my side Harvey has no one to help him fight your madness." Clark grew angry the more Tim talked the more angry he got.
"I am already chained up when you had this episode I wasn't thinking about you at all." Tim said Thor rattled the chains on his neck as he yanked it again.
"I will tell everyone here of all your crimes if you don't stop talking."
"My goodness I would like to hear about them." Thor seemed more on the edge of his seat now wanting Clark to expose more.
I realise Tim was hiding himself from the family for years and it is only now we are getting the full version.

Meeting A Stunning Older Woman Ft. The Ishgard Elf Husbands
If you're still accepting requests, could I get the Ishgard Elf Husbands with a MILF WoL?? I play an older Au Ra woman and all the prompts I've seen are for same age WoL
Thank you for your ask, Anon! I'm always accepting requests because I love the prompts y'all come up with.
Because we're talking milfs, I'm assuming the WoL in question has a baby, so a few thoughts from each of our Ishgardian friends on that! Some light Endwalker spoilers.
Aymeric
Tumblr media
Aymeric is 32 and feels that he's coming up in age, but throughout his career, he hasn't been treated much like an adult.
Upon meeting you, he was impressed with your accomplishments thus far but was far more impressed with your wisdom.
You look past the political games, the doublespeak. You see the his words and actions for what they really are. You see him as he is, and that's all he's really wanted.
He feels like he can be himself with you, like he can finally ask for all of the things he wants rather than resigning himself to what is needed from him.
The years you have lived beyond his own bring him some measure of comfort, for all that you've done in that time and what you might do in the future.
Bringing Ishgard out of theocracy and into a republic might not be such a such a steep task with you by his side.
He was somewhat startled when he found out that you have a child. He knows how often you're away, and the thought of your child left alone while you travel reminded him of the period of his life where he was maligned for being Thordan's bastard.
He's seen the sidelong glances, heard the whispers. Aymeric trusts your own judgement on your life, but he would like to give you and your child some protection from the gossip of the Holy See. Beyond that, he wants to give your family some stability and though he might not say it aloud, he does long to be a part of someone's family again.
Don't look in the nightstand drawer, he's been hiding this ring for quite some time. He's just waiting for the right moment. After all, you and your family already spend enough time at House Borel. Maybe at the next dinner, he'll summon up the courage.
So, Aymeric. Truly, you know secrets cannot be kept in the Holy See. Tell us about, you know. You know.
Aymeric's face has reddened, his ears wiggle slightly as the heat rises to them.
"It seems that this is truly the case, no secret can be held long in the Holy See. I thought that I had been subtle in my request to have the late Lady Borel's betrothal ring resized. Regardless, I will indulge you in the why behind my choice.
I had never felt my family my own. Through our many discussions, you must know that by now. I love my parents still, I love all that they have given me. I do not know what may have happened to me if I had been discarded as Thordan had wished, if House Borel had not plucked me from my fate. Still, I lived much of my life feeling like an open wound. A reminder of my mother's infertility and choice to adopt, a reminder of Thordan's actions.
I've found much in the family that Halone has marched into my path. In House Fortemps, in y/n and c/n. Not only in the words she shares with me on her trials, on her experiences but her actions. The love they both fill my home with each day, the truth of it all. For all of the political dances I dance all day, to come home to the honesty of a lover who has passed the age of needing subtlety! All I wish is to give her even half of what she has given me."
Estinien
Tumblr media
Estinien felt some hesitance around you, he feared that you might treat him like a child and admittedly refused to take your advice during your travels through Coerthas because of this.
After more time with you, he began to see that the things you say aren't said to hold authority as someone older than him, but simply facts as you know them from the years of experience you have beyond his. He feels...dare I say...safe? As if you've grown past the mindless optimism of youth, that he can trust when you say that things will be okay with time.
He's made a life for himself by acting on his own behalf, not worrying or waiting for the actions of others. However, watching you with your child softened him, it reminded him of himself with his own family so many years ago. He did wonder what it could be like to be a part of that again, to care and be cared for. To make choices for a whole, to choose things with another rather than relying solely on himself.
Your continued travels together only strengthened that thought, watching you alongside your child warmed him to the Scions, but particularly Alphinaud and Alisae.
He thought all of this had been lost to him forever in Ferndale, but each moment with you all showed him that he could give so much of himself without suffering immediate loss.
Once it's all over, after the Final Days, after the last proof he needed that none of you will truly be lost to him forever, he finally confessed his wish to be with you completely. Not just the sexual tension that hangs heavy over your interactions, not just the bond you share as Scions. He truly wants to give himself over to the trust he's developed with you, he wants to share this new peace with you as a family.
Estinien, forgive me, but you're quite a bit softer now than first we met. Tell me more about that.
Estinien smiles gently, running a hand through his hair as he moves to fasten it with a tie of Thavnairan design.
"Does it seem so? I dare you to say the same in y/n's presence, she maintains that I am a 'cranky arsehole' though she loves me still. I admit, I have...as you put it, become "softer". The twins' fussing and weeping doesn't drive me mad anymore, at least. Perhaps it's being surrounded by children, perhaps it's being surrounded by her day in and day out for all this time."
Estinien's face has darkened slightly, not with frustration, perhaps memory.
"I went through these years in deep skepticism. Her commentary drove me mad as we traversed Coerthas with Alphinaud and Ysale. Yet, the longer she spoke to me, the more I was willing to listen. At Ultima Thule, I felt good about my choice but thought that it was confirmation of all I had believed. No matter how deeply I had loved them all, there would always be an end. We would all be scattered to fate, lost to each other forever. It had only been a matter of time, that I was glad I hadn't allowed her more of myself. That she would survive and go on, that she would have less to grieve than if I had given myself over to her completely.
As you know, I was wrong. We did come home, we all did. Now, in this new time, I do wonder what we could do with this peace. That I could... I could wake up at home. Not an inn, not a tent, not on my back in the snow after the poor results of a battle. I could wake up surrounded by people I love, who love me, and they're all safe. And many days could pass that way, one after another without incident."
Haurchefant
Tumblr media
On your first meeting, he was in awe of you. Your strength, your wisdom, all of it! But he could see that there was a burden on your shoulders and wondered who is lucky enough to be the one that cares for you.
He did not hesitate to offer his support. At first, professionally but in time, personally.
Each visit to Camp Dragonhead featured three piping hot chocolate mugs. One for himself, another for you, and a third for c/n.
The years between you hardly crossed his mind, he felt that he knew so much about you from stories as he eagerly pressed every knight for more information. Aymeric quickly grew tired of his requests for updates through Alliance reports, but obliged regardless. To hear the tales! He discarded any thoughts about the distance between you, be it physical or in regards to age. He knew all he needed to.
He did feel some frustration in your obliviousness towards his intent, thinking you must be overwhelmed with all of your responsibilities. He thought you might view him as immature if he pressed any harder, so he put the thought to rest until he could not hold on any longer.
Haurchefant is not one for subtlety, and he was pleased to find that your age afforded you an equal measure of straightforwardness. When the two of you finally found a moment alone to speak fantasies into fact, he was positively glowing with excitement at the idea that you wanted all that he had been hoping for with you.
Haurchefant is vibrating with excitment, eager to answer any question regarding you. After all, it is still so new!
My friend, you are glowing! Tell me everything.
He sucks in his breath sharply.
"Well, it is official now. She accepted my courtship proposal! We eschewed some of the finer points of Ishgardian practice on these things, and I must say it is a relief. I've always been on the outside of those things, it didn't feel right to hunt down her father and ask. I suppose I could have asked my father given his love for y/n and c/n, but he was pleased nonetheless.
It is a strange dance, however. She's beyond caring about the little trifles of tradition, she's made a life for herself on her own terms in all these years. Still, she brings me closer to Ishgardian culture in some ways. My father was positively delighted to welcome a child into his home, to have a grandchild of his own. Though the way this came about wasn't traditional, still, c/n has been the cause for much celebration at House Fortemps.
Though, I admit, it has been a struggle at times. As I said, y/n made a life for herself on her own terms. She's an adult, living in another adult's house. She is beyond polite, but I suspect she would like her own space and I would be glad to be the one to give it to her. None of the adventurers have any hope with Francel's silly housing lottery. I- now, I trust this will remain between you and I? I've spoken with the necessary contacts to see what must be done for me to get my own housing in the ward for citizens. Room enough for us three, her crafting things, maybe room for her family to visit.
There are enough houses left unclaimed, worse comes to worse I'll build her one from scratch. Truly, after all of this, after all I've seen and the many years I wasn't present for, I'd love to give her this. Just a home to rest after all of her travels. To never see her weary again, just full of hot chocolate and rested."

Whumptober 2022: Day 18 - Let’s break the ice
Prompt: “Just get it over with.”
Summary: A person can only handle so much at a time until it all becomes too much to deal with. For Tim, he’s reached the end of his line and has decided that he’s done with everything.
A/N: Warnings for suicidal thoughts and references to self-harm. Don't read if it makes you uncomfortable.
Tim knows he’s at his breaking point. He doesn’t know how much longer he can keep going but he definitely knows that he's had enough. It’s not just that he's had enough of this situation but in fact that he’s had enough of everything. He’s tired. He’s done.
The last few months have been the hardest months of Tim’s life. From the amount of people he’s lost, to losing his team, to getting into devastating arguments with his “family” and to being almost killed several times. He’s had enough.
He doesn’t know how to keep going, or even if he wants to anymore. What's the point? He doesn’t have anything to live for. Dick’s made sure of that, as well as the brat. The stuck up brat that he’s currently fighting with, probably the fifth fight that week and it’s only Wednesday…
Raising his staff up Tim blocks a strike from above, their weapons collide nosily and the impact sends vibrations through Tim’s arms. Opposite him, Damian lets out a growl and bounds away for a quick breather. Tim himself takes a deep breath before repositioning himself defencelessly.
The kid’s upset and angry with him, again, and Tim has no idea what he's done this time to deserve a full force attack from him. This is what he’s tired and bored of. The kid constantly attacks him, sometimes for no reasons, just out of the blue Damian would try and kill him or at least fatally wound him. Other times Tim would in fact goad him, wanting a fight to blow off steam or something that’ll help to clear his mind. It’s not exactly healthy but it occasionally does the trick.
This particular fight however is one that Damian’s just pounced on him for no good reason. Thankfully Tim’s taken initiative to always carry around his bo-staff just in case this exact thing happens.
Damian lunges and Tim steps to the side, using his staff he bats the sword away before spinning around and aiming a kick at Damian’s leg. The impact of his strike causes Damian to lose balance and before the kid could right himself, Tim is there delivering a blow to the centre of his back which has him dropping to the floor. Tim wisely steps back a few paces and allows Damian to scramble up to his feet.
The kid turns to him, seething with resentment, and Tim looks back with a bored expression. Damian is currently fighting with raw emotion, it’s clouding his judgement and making it rather easy to beat him. Tim appreciates his abilities, as a ten year old Damian is an exceptional fighter, but he still lacks that restraint and experience someone older has. If Tim truly wants to he could end Damian, maybe not easily but if Tim really went for it he would be the standing victor between them.
However Tim is tired. He's done. He can’t be bothered to keep playing the same song over and over again. What’s the point? What is Damian getting out of this?
When the kid lunges again, this time Tim lets him get a hit in. He pretends to be too slow to dodge and not prepared enough to counterattack. The blow lands on Tim’s side and he relishes in the instant ache that develops. Tim allows the second blow to land, this time a slash to his side with Damian’s sword which gives him a sharp stinging sensation that he appreciates. Gradually Tim allows Damian to get more and more hits against him, Tim’s pretending that he’s tiring out, that his movements are growing sloppy as they continue to fight. He still occasionally makes sure to land a blow to show he’s still fighting but they are far and few in between.
As Tim was so wrapped up in his thoughts and not really invested in the fight, he genuinely completely missed the kid sneaking behind up and landing a blow against the centre of his back. Getting caught off guard Tim stumbles forward and Damian doesn’t hesitate to take his legs out from underneath him, Tim lands hard on the floor and gets winded from the impact. Not wasting a moment Damian climbs on top of him and goes to town on his face.
One punch after another, Damian lands blows against his cheeks, nose, lips and temples. By the end of the battering Tim could feel blood dripping down his face from where his skin has spilt open, he’s bruised, swollen and his entire body is going numb from the attack.
This is when Damian finally realises that Tim is no longer fighting back. Something clicks in the ten-year-old’s mind that Tim isn’t defending himself here, that he isn’t fighting to knock the kid off of him. He's simply letting Damian deliver the blows without protest.
Tim comes back to the present when he no longer feels Damian punching him. Looking up at the kid through blurred vision he finds Damian still above him with his fist raised as if he’s about to punch him again but for some reason he’s not moving, Damian is staring down at him with a confused frown and this is the first time Tim seen him show some hesitancy.
Damian’s expression soon turns into a scowl. “Why aren’t you fighting back Drake?”
Feeling blood pool in his mouth, Tim turns to the side to spit it out before answering the kid. “Does it matter?” When he speaks his voice is hoarse and croaky. His beaten voice simply reflecting on his physical state. “You’re getting what you want.”
“I want you to fight me!”
Tim doesn’t move. He doesn’t say anything.
His silence angers Damian and Damian delivers the blow he had previously withheld, Tim’s head snaps to the side and by the time he’s straightened up Damian is there with his sword pressed against his throat.
In a moment of darkness, Tim leans into the blade. Allowing the sharp edge to press against his skin further. “Do it.”
Damian blinks at him. Clearly Tim’s submission isn’t something he expected. If his face wasn’t so swollen Tim would have raised an eyebrow, why is Damian so reluctant to kill him now. Is it because Tim is no longer fighting him? Is it because he’s asking for it?
“Don’t be a coward! Fight me!” As the kid screams his demands Tim doesn’t even flinch. Any fucks he’s given are long gone.
He’s not a coward, but he’s given up. After losing everything Tim finds he doesn’t have the willpower to go on anymore. His dad, Bart, Stephanie, Bruce, Kon… Tim's even lost Dick because of this brat, how is he supposed to carry on when he’s so alone.
He doesn’t want to.
Pressing further into Damian’s sword, this time actually feeling the blade cut his throat, he makes eye contact with the kid. “Just get it over with. Kill me!”
For a second Tim thought he was going to do it. For a second Tim felt peace wash over him. However his feelings are flipped around when instead of slicing his throat Damian removes the blade from his throat. He goes even further and gets up off Tim and stares down at him in shock and confusion. His moves make Tim angry, Damian’s been trying to kill him for months and now Tim is letting him do it he refuses to.
“You’re an unworthy opponent Drake. There is no honour in ending your life when you refuse to fight for it.”
With that comment, Damian walks away from him. Leaving Tim blinking at his retreating form as he disappears out of his sight.
Once the kid’s gone, Tim doesn’t know what to do with himself. He lies there bloody and beaten on the floor, unable to move as he finally feels the pain radiating right through his core. Eventually he feels his consciousness slipping and the last thing he thinks about as his eyes close is wondering if he would be lucky enough to not wake up again.

tw selfharm mention masky helping his male s/o get over bad habits like selfharm
Masky?? Brooo,,,,,, that dude isn't very suitable for these kinds of issues...
Tw:sh
You can only come across Masky if you are still awake by the time he comes back from "work".
I am not sure how he could help you get over it other than making you stop immediately when he finds you, so here is a short blurb of how he first helped.
So i can go with the scenario where he came home and found you (still unaware of his presence) while you were doing your thing.
I have no idea how gender could matter here; he would have the same reaction regardless of gender, but consider this as y/n is a man, i guess.
He came home after a less complicated job and found you in your shared bedroom sitting on the bed, back facing the window.
He was not mad. He understood how screaming at you would be the opposite of what you needed at the moment.
He forced an awkward cough to get your attention without scaring you and you accidentally hurting yourself more than intended. However, you were still shaken by it and swung your head around in fear. He said he was not mad but doesn't encurage this. After that he went silent as the wall.
He took the knife with him to the kitchen and came back with a med kit. While he was cleaning the small wounds, he asked if you wanted to talk about it.
If you say yes, he will listen patiently. Not a word of judgement. He might try to reason with you after you are done talking.
If you say no, that's okay too, he will say you ought to talk about it with Tim in the morning, or if you aren't already to get professional help; then he'll just continue bandaging you up without further words to waste.
No matter which option you choose, it will end with him giving you a kiss and the two of you going to bed.

How do you think Jason would react if Tim killed the Joker?
Oooh, huh, good question. I think it really also depends on at what time this happens.
So for utrh I think it would be entirely ooc for Tim to do that. Tim has such an extreme narrative set up about how Jason is (partially or fully) to blame for his own death and about how Tim "won't make the same mistakes as Jason". At this point in time I can sooner imagine Tim coming in to take Jason down than to kill the Joker.
However I could imagine a later version of Tim murdering the Joker. This would be quite a while after. First there would be the kind of Titan's Tower confrontation between Tim and Jason who both have reason to feel contempt toward the other (not saying either of them are justified for feeling this necessarily, just saying it makes sense how they would feel that way.)
I'm not quite sure honestly, I'd go with Jason feeling conflicted about it because overwhelmingly he is glad that it's done and he knows this is better for everyone and for himself. I can imagine him stopping Bruce from confronting Tim by fighting the big guy off. And I think Jason would feel a bit betrayed that it was ultimately Tim.
I just think it's very often important for victim's to be part in their abuser getting their due, and I do see Jason as the kind of victim who would need that to feel like he really got his life back from what the Joker did to him. But despite this emotional need, I think the relief of it being over would win out.
So yeah, I'd guess Jason would feel slightly conflicted, but mostly quietly relieved and that he would have a talk with Tim asking him what gave Tim the right to be the one to do it, but ultimately he would defend Tim against external judgement.
