BLOSC! Woody!

I had wanted to draw a BLoSC style Woody before, and with that character as a reference I could better design his look!✨

Background story:

Woody is located in a countryside on the capital planet , he is a popular and trusted leader and police sergeant. This town is the hometown of BuZ’s grandmother.

Buzz and Woody were actually playmates when they were kids.

Later, Buzz's family moved to the city, and they no longer remembered each other; during a mission to stop evil, Buzz returned to this small town, and after some friction with Woody, he became close friends again.

One of my favorite parts about becoming a Star Trek fan is realizing just how many references there have been to it throughout my entire life.

Like I was semi pitching a Toy Story au in a discord with Bones as Woody and Spock as Buzz, and upon rewatching one of the scenes, I saw Buzz did the Vulcan salute, and I’m fucking dying right now cuz I completely forgot that happened.

So, this is another self indulgent personal story I'm posting before I can change my mind. It's been a year since I got my Vash the Stampede plushie, and I just adore him! I'm also one of kids who grew up watching Toy Story too many times. Whoops

I Just Want To Give Her More 

Plush!Vash x Reader (like a toy story au)

I sat inside that plastic for a long time. Moving from place to place, never being opened. Warehouse, to storage, to a store. I was placed within a dark bag, and was shipped off. I was in the mail once again. I could hear that I was placed into a metal box. A mailbox, perhaps? Waiting once again, I hear the box open, and a hitched breath. The bag is grabbed, and the thudding of talking on wooden stairs is heard, excitedly humming as a door opened and closed. The bag was opened to a bright light. I was pulled out of the bag to see a young woman though the second layer of plastic bag. She opens the plastic bag that has held me captive for so many years, and her smile widens as she brings her thumb up to my cheek.

"He's a little smaller than what I was expecting, but he's still perfect." She whispered to herself. I was perfect? She took a pair of scissors off of the table next to her and gently removed the tag from my hand, and the plastic ring from my hand. 

Nowadays I sleep exclusively between her breasts. Pinned between her and a Squishmallow she has dubbed Dr. Curt Conners. Occasionally she will pet my thin hair, cradle my head with a single hand, and she still caresses my cheek with her thumb. I hear her heart race, and she whispers "Oh Vash, you're so perfect." As she is undoubtedly reading the Manga I'm from, or some fanfiction. We've watched the anime together in bits and pieces. I can see why she likes me. 

She wakes up early, even before the sun can. She gives me a kiss on the forehead, sets me aside on a pillow, and strokes my cheek before stumbling out of bed to start her day. She gives me a smile or a wink if she isn't able to give me a verbal "I'll be home later, Vash! Love you!"

When she changes clothes, she usually does so in her room, where I'm nearby. Usually facing away from me, I can't help but look. She's beautiful. The way her hair sways, the little jumps she does as she puts pants on, the curving of her waist when she takes her shirt off, all contribute to her beauty.  When she turns around, no matter what part of the process, she makes eye contact with me, giving me a knowing smile. I'd probably die if I ever admitted that I had been watching. 

I just want to give her more. That's what I think to myself every day when I sit with the other plushies in the small bins on the floor next to her bed. She's so kind, she truly loves me (even if it is just who I was designed after), and I can tell that she wishes so badly for me to be real. I can almost hear her heart ache, and her breath hitch, late into the night when she squeezes me tightly. She lightly whispers my name, sometimes wishing that the spiky haired man in the red coat were really there. 

But she is not always so sad. I love to see her dance around the house, music playing through her headphones, occasionally belting out lyrics to the songs she's listening to. The food she makes always smells delicious, but as I am inanimate, I can't eat. I would eat anything she made if I could. We watch other anime together. Usually curled up in the sofa chair in a blanket, I watch as I'm cuddled under the blanket with her, and facing the screen, not that I'd complain about the content. She plays video games. Ones that aren't necessarily too complicated or competitive, and usually have a good story.

We have so much fun together, and I'm… not even real. I can't interact with her. Talking, cuddling, laughing, I can't do any of that. She deserves more. I want to be The Humanoid Typhoon for her. I want to be six foot tall, not ten or so inches. I want to tell her that her food is a delicacy. I want to say jokes to make her laugh, I want to hold her in my arms. I want to pet her hair and run my thumb along her cheek. I want to give her kisses on her forehead, even more so, her lips. I can tell she is loved. Friends, family, and even co-workers. She talks on the phone, and I see her messages. But she's still so lonely. A person as wonderful as her deserves to be loved by the guy I'm modeled after. She deserves that much.

Redesign based on the appearance and personality of the old character!

I mentioned before that the two-person cooperation mode is related to candy and whip, and the relationship is to the king and the guard.

In this AU, Woody and Buzz met and the process of becoming friends was still not smooth. Woody was still hostile to this new toy that took away the owner's love. However, after the two were left together, Woody went through a game with powerful speeches and persuasion to instilled in Buzz the necessity of stability in the toy class, and that he was doing this for the safety of the toys, etc.

So Buzz suggested that he could help Woody establish his status among the wolves, and Woody has to keep him around and have a place.

So they became co-leaders.

Character introduction - Woody:

Arrogant and irritable, extremely afraid of losing his status, he only has murderous intentions and hatred for those who oppose him, because Buzz is not afraid of his intimidation and can effectively appease those gossiping toys, so Very satisfied with Buzz's assistance.

Because Buzz's companions are slightly aware that the way to consolidate their position is not just through threats.

Character introduction - Buzz:

Actually, he doesn’t care about trivial things like toys or the love of his owner. He helps Woody because he believes that he must gain an advantageous position in the current situation in order to take the initiative. On the one hand, he also agrees with the role of toys as a leader mentioned by Woody.

But he prefers to manage others in a friendly and chronically persuasive way.

My version of the Roleswap AU

Roleswap aus aren’t uncommon and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn’t.

But I’ve had this idea in the perspective with Woody and Jessie in this AU where Jessie is the protagonist of the Round-up gang.

Their own personalities will stay the same, the only thing it will change are their circumstances they would face in different events and the different timeline.

(Warning from here because it gets angsty and also trying not to make it too depressing but don’t fret, because like in canon, things get hopeful!)

In this Woody’s story, he got a kid and enjoyed spending time with him. He witnessed how his kid grew into an adult but he even how he got a terminal illness, witnessing his death. (You can interpret whether this kid could be Andy or Andy’s unknown dad like in that theory)

His owner could have died in his 50s, making the timeline the same as in canon probably?

So once that happened, maybe his own kids or relatives, thought of giving away Woody out of respect of his passing that he’d be better off with another kid as maybe they weren’t interested in him.

That leaves Woody so heartbroken by what he’s seen and he grieves in silence inside the box, he wishes there were more time to be with him, though even when he grew he was cast aside, he stood still until he could come and see him again, which he did until his dying days, he’s in the denial phase.

But as time went on he accepts his new fate.

What he didn’t expect is that in the end he ended up being a collectible and for him? felt like a relief. Since because of his trauma, he’d prefer going in Japan and not get through another suffering event by having a new kid.

He meets bullseye and he gets a bit happier by the comfort of having another friend. Like a dog- human relationship. Then a bit later he meets the prospector, acts like a father figure to him and gives him the comfort he needs when they're out of the box. They talk about in one thought of how when they get Jessie, the collection of the roundup gang would finally be complete and Woody would feel happy by the idea of being in the museum.

And this is where this AU comes to play because like in canon, Jessie is the protagonist of the TV series, making her immensely popular, like the Barbies! Who would have thought? 

By that thought that would surely distract his past and just be appreciated by the people to see him and the others.

And the canon-like present timeline story would be starting. They meet Jessie and over next scenes, she would help Woody as well.

Like in canon, he would get through it and accept that even though this person he cherished is gone, doesn't mean that he wouldn't be sad forever. His love for his last owner won't compare the new one he'll have now, but is another type of love, by loving another person and feel happy. After all, Andy (the owner) would have felt so content that another child would have Woody with him and be his friend. I'm sure, he would have let Woody be happy with another person on his hands. This Jessie would help him, and tell him that this new kid she has would gladly like to play with him. And things get hopeful for our cowboy doll in the end :)

So I've been thinking about Toy Story human au, where Woody becomes Andy and Molly adopted father.

He and their mom were beasties, and he was Andy's babysitter. Woody supported them when her abusive husband left when she was pregnant and helped to raise Andy during pregnancy. Unfortunately, she passed away during childbirth. So he was left alone with a five year old kid and a toddler on his hands. But he can't give up for them.
