#WE LOVE RONEN IN THIS HOUSE!!!!!!!

Thank you for being so 'Ronen is a good actor' positive! I feel like other actors get praised alot more and I see so much unwarranted Ronen hate (especially on Twitter which is a toxic cesspool) and it's like 'what are you guys watching??' (Tbh, I think it's mainly people who don't even watch the show, I've seen a lot of 911 Original/Buck/Eddie fans who just like to bitch about him in every way every day). But it's also Rafa/Carlos fans who actually dislike TK, but say they ship Tarlos, but only because Rafa 'carries' that couple. So all this to say I'm glad people actually think Ronen is decent at his job 🙄 lol. Sorry to rant in your ask box!
Oh Ronen is a FANTASTIC actor!! The elasticity of his face, the choices he makes, the little things he puts into the background that just bring such authenticity to the character, the beautiful expressiveness of his eyes, the things he adds to a scene that definitely weren't in the script and just showcase how much he cares about the character and how much he THINKS about the character. He is so good. He brings TK to life in a way that feels so real and visceral. He can do dark and hurting and tortured just as well as he can do bright and happy and glittery. TK is equal parts a soft little angel made of sunshine and equal parts tragic and traumatized and that is not an easy dichotomy to play as an actor. Ronen hate will never have a place on this blog. He is such a sweet, sparkly, talented little bean and I absolutely adore him.

Ominis Gaunt x GN!Hufflepuff!Reader (Not MC)
[Table of Contents]
Summary: Always having admired Ominis Gaunt from afar, you were a muggleborn Hufflepuff with no hope of ever gaining his attention. Until, one day, you were the only one he paid any attention to. (just pure blushy fluff/ no beta, we die like Soloman Sallow)
Tumblr media
Of course, you knew about him. You had been in Hogwarts this whole time, you were in the same year as him, no matter that he was Slytherin and you were just a ‘lowly’ Hufflepuff (though everyone else who said that could scoot on with themselves, you had so much pride in your house). There was also the matter that he was a rather special case, being pureblood and a Gaunt, and blind. Even those who had never even heard of the Gaunt name would see him out of the corner of their eyes, the pulsing red light at the end of his wand almost signalling that everyone should pay attention. And you definitely paid attention.
You couldn’t help but be selfishly grateful for his blindness at times, when your staring had become so apparent that other classmates, or friends- let’s not mention the teachers- had to gain your attention back and raise their eyebrows at you. “Oh, just staring off into space,” You’d tell them, as if you weren’t always looking directly at a particular space every time. Even your best friend Poppy, as lovely as she could be, teased you mercilessly about your ‘daydreaming.’ It’s already been seven years, and you could only play your admiration off so many times before someone got suspicious.
Poppy had figured it out eventually, though you had been surprised it took her so long. Your crush on one Ominis Gaunt was indeed obvious, as loath as you were to admit it. Though, granted, Poppy had some other things in mind. Rather, creatures in mind. However, once she finally followed your line of sight one too many times, her gasp was so loud it disturbed the entire Charms class, and you had blushed so brightly that Professor Ronen had almost sent you to see the nurse. After assurances that everything was okay and no, you did not need to see the nurse, you really were okay, the professor finally continued on with his lecture.
So, yes, of course, you knew Ominis Gaunt. But that didn’t mean he knew you. At least, that’s what you believed.
You were just exiting the rarely-used side door out of the Central Hall, leading to the bridge that ran above the Transfiguration courtyard toward the Defense Against the Dark Arts building, when you decided that you’d settle on the nearby bench and work on your potions homework that was due later in the week. Since it was your last year here at Hogwarts, all the professors were handing out their hardest assignments yet, and you still weren’t exactly sure how Professor Sharp expected you to write forty inches on the improper uses of dittany.
You were just settling your bookbag on the rough stone bench, digging through for your books and parchment when you heard a noise nearby. Curious, you turned your head and noticed someone standing behind a statue near the corner of the castle, coughing lightly as if trying to be discreet. You tilted your head in confusion, leaving your bookbag and approaching the statue slowly.
“Hello? Are you sick?” When no response was forthcoming, you continued on, “I could help escort you to the nurse if you need it?”
“No, I’m just fine, thank you.” His voice came from behind the statue- and, wait- it was his voice and you couldn’t stop yourself from sucking in a gasp. You could only hope he hadn’t heard the quick inhale. However, his response really didn’t answer any questions. You took a few more steps, circling around to be able to see the side of the statue, and there he was. Ominis Gaunt was sitting on the statue's pedestal, his head in his hands and no pulsing red glow in sight. You felt frozen in your spot, studying the man with your eyes and wondering what had happened to cause the hunch to his shoulders.
“Well, if you’re not sick, then- well, that is to say-” You hesitated, unsure how to phrase your question. Once you pause, not fully finishing the thought you had tried to start, Ominis finally lowers his hands in defeat, turning his head slightly in your direction. You took that as an indication that he was listening, and took another step forward. “It’s just that I frequent this courtyard often, and I’ve never seen you here?”
“You come here often?” He asked, his tone incredulous, and you couldn’t keep your laugh back.
“Well, it’s quiet.”
“Not as quiet as some other places. I can practically hear all the conversations happening down in the transfiguration courtyard.” Once he finished his sentence, you remained quiet for a moment, tilting your head as if this would help you listen. You could hear slight mumbling from the yard below, but likely nowhere near as well as he could.
“Well, some of us aren’t so gifted in the hearing department,” You muttered, shrugging despite the fact that he couldn’t see it. You almost felt bad for the statement until Ominis’ smile slowly grew across his face. “Anyway, sorry to bother. I just wanted to see if you needed any help, but since you’re fine-”
“Actually!” His outburst startled you, causing you to turn back toward him after almost heading back to your bookbag. You noticed he held a hand out toward you, slightly to the right of where you stood, and you tilted your head, taking a few more steps toward him. You could tell his course correction as you walked, moving his hand toward you directly before finally dropping it. “I do- well, I happen to have, uh,” He hesitates, picking at his nails as he stares off in a random direction, “Well, I’ve dropped my wand.”
At this, you felt another gasp well up, studying Ominis a bit more thoroughly before turning and searching the ground of the courtyard with your eyes. Not seeing a wand laying around, you finally took the last few steps toward him and sat next to him on the stone. “Was it out here?”
“Yes,” Ominis answered as you got distracted by the lovely blush lighting up the top of his cheeks and the tips of his ears. He really was charming, and the blush only highlighted the fact. Your eyes kept darting between his milky blue eyes, down to the blush- and hells, he must be embarrassed- and finally to his hands before circling back up. After a few beats too long, he speaks up again hesitantly, “Do you see it?”
Keeping yourself from yelling out ‘Oh!’ you immediately turn your head and scan the surrounding area again. “Out here- what, in this spot?” You jump off the stone, crouching down onto your knees and scooting around to search the area more thoroughly.
“Well, not exactly here. I had been walking from the Defense Against the Dark Arts tower when a strong wind blew, practically knocking me down. I lost hold of my wand and heard it clatter in this direction. I tried Accio but it didn’t return so I tried to search for it.”
You lifted your head at this, intending to look up and ask where exactly he had been standing when you realized where exactly you were kneeling. You were practically right in front of his lap, and honestly, if anyone walked by at this moment they would probably get the wrong idea. If you hadn’t been blushing before you certainly were now, your face emanating heat like a furnace. You clear your throat and stand, nodding and looking anywhere but at him.
“Right! Right, okay, so you were on the bridge when you dropped it?”
“Am I-” Ominis hesitates, scrunching his eyebrows together, before continuing in a quieter voice, “Am I no longer on the bridge now?”
You finally look back to his concerned expression, blinking a few times. You were surprised at his question, he had always seemed so capable. Yet, you supposed, he likely depended on his wand to know where he was and how to get around. This only made you even more determined. You placed your hands on your hips and began a circle, studying more intently before walking closer toward the bridge, looking both ways. Hesitating, and fearing the worst, you approached the edge of the bridge and looked downward.
“Wait, I see it!”
“You do? Can you bring it-”
“Well, not exactly-”
“What?”
“It fell off the bridge toward the Transfiguration courtyard, wait, just-” You withdraw your wand and perform your own Accio to watch the wand wiggle in place, caught on some sort of edge on a statue down in the courtyard below. You sigh, shaking your head with a smile. “Well, that explains it. It got caught on the statue down there, I tried to summon it but all it did was a little jig.”
“A little jig?” Ominis questions you, a smile playing on his lips, as you begin to approach him once more.
“Yeah, y’know,” You began to wiggle yourself before stopping, sighing and approaching before grabbing his hand and wiggling it. “Like that.”
“Oh,” He whispered, almost like an exhalation of breath than anything, but his fingers curled around your own instead of pulling away. You swallow roughly for a moment before he tugs on your hand, looking up from his sitting position. “Could you lead me down to it?”
You were holding his hand, you were holding his hand, okay, don’t panic. You nod before, once again, stopping yourself and speaking. “Yeah, I mean, of course!” You take a firmer hold on his hand and pull until he stands, blushing at the fond smile on his face.
“Thanks, Y/N,” He mumbles, and you felt a burst of butterflies flood your stomach. He knew your name? “I don’t know what I would’ve done if you hadn’t come around.”
“Oh, aha,” You chuckle breathlessly, trying to brush it off, “It’s fine, of course, no problem. Every Slytherin needs their emotional support Hufflepuff.” You kick yourself in your mind, shaking your head, but begin to pull Ominis in the direction of the door to the Central Hall.
“Oh, is that the rule? I hadn’t been aware.” He mumbled, his head low as he walked. “I guess that means you’re stuck with me, then.”
Travelling the staircases of the Central Hall ended up easier than you had thought it’d be, really you only had to tell him when the stairs were beginning and ending and he was able to correct himself accordingly. It had been a little crowded, but you managed to keep him from knocking into anybody as you traversed the hall. Finally making it through to the Transfiguration courtyard, you pulled him over toward the statue that you had seen.
“Here, wait just a second,” You began to climb the statue, pulling yourself upward until you could finally reach and nudge the wand. You pushed it a few times before it finally slid from its perch, clattering down onto the ground. You heard a mumbled spell from Ominis as you tried to climb down, slipping halfway through and beginning the short descent with a wince, your heart spiking.
Except, you never felt the impact, and belatedly registered Ominis yelling out the levitation charm quickly. You opened your eyes, looking around to notice Omiinis’ wand glowing lightly, pulsing as if he was still using his normal charm, and you were slowly lowered to the ground. As he began to approach you snapped your mouth shut after having been hanging it open in astonishment, and watch as he offers a hand down to you. You take it once again, and he helps haul you up to your feet once more.
“Thank you,” You whisper, standing a little too close to him, though neither makes a move to back away.
“I should be the one thanking you,” He mutters back, his voice quiet like yours as if he didn’t want to break whatever was happening between you two. “I’m practically useless without my wand.”
“Aren’t we all though?” You watched his eyebrows raise in surprise, and suck in a breath, attempting to explain, “Well, I just mean-”
“No, I get it. I know what you’re saying it’s just- no one has ever agreed before. Everyone always tries to say that it’s untrue, that I don’t need to rely on my wand.”
“But,” You hesitate, biting your lip as you stare into his milky eyes from so close, “Don’t we all? I mean, especially here, no? In the school that teaches us magic, we literally use these sticks every day and-” You’re cut off by his loud laugh, and you couldn’t help but copy his smile.
“Sticks?”
“Oh, well, you know. Before I came here I had no clue wands even existed. They- well, they really do just look like fancy sticks.”
“Fancy sticks,” He repeats to you once more, shaking his head slowly, his large grin softening to a fond smile once more. You both remained quiet once more before you suddenly felt a touch at your hand, looking down to notice him taking your hand once more. “You wouldn’t happen to want to lead me to our next class?”
“I-” You hesitate, and he seems to get the wrong message, pulling away before you reach forward with your hand, taking his now, “No, I just- I left my bookbag upstairs when I went to talk to you. I forgot to grab it on the way down here.”
“Then, we go fetch your bookbag, and head to potions?” Your smile widens, squeezing his hand gently and receiving a squeeze back in kind.
“I wouldn’t want to make you go out of your way.”
“You went out of your way for me,” He replies easily, tugging on your hand once more. “If you stay indecisive for very much longer, I have a feeling we’ll be late.”
“Then I guess we better get a move on,” You whisper, your chest filling with sparks and sunlight, and you feel almost so giddy you couldn’t contain it. You began to lead him away, and despite having his wand pulsing in one hand, you led him around the castle with his other.
A/N: I meant this to be a cute little one shot but now I have an idea for another fluff piece as maybe a part two to this so maybe I’ll write that if y’all want??

A/N: Some seventh year shenanigans and an awkward trip for potions ingredients! Thank you as always to my lovely beta reader @happyaccidentsonly <3

September 1892
“Welcome back, seventh years!”
The Slytherin seventh years had all been gathered in the center of the common room. Professor Ronen and Professor Sharp stood before them; Ronen had his usual jovial look, while Sharp looked sour as ever.  They had just passed out the seventh years’ schedules, and were now preparing their start of term speech for the house’s eldest students.
Sebastian appraised the group. Ominis was standing with Imelda and Grace, the rest of the girls squeezed into a couch.  The other boys in their year were on the couch opposite them, robes already discarded after a long welcoming feast. He felt something tugging at his hand, and his cheeks flushed as he realized Theo was draping his arm around her.  He pulled her in tightly, pressing a kiss to the top of her head. Ominis, hearing the sloppy wet kiss, pretended to gag as the girls snickered.
It was a far cry from last year’s scene, Sebastian thought to himself. This day last year, Sebastian was sitting by himself, staring at Ominis and Theo opposite him. Things had been so tense, and he was positively desperate to do anything it took to prove his worth to them. But now, seventeen and on the cusp of his last year at Hogwarts, he was draped across the loveseat with his beautiful girlfriend, ready to take on the world.
“This is your final year at Hogwarts, and we are excited to welcome you to what will be your most robust year of learning.” Ronen smiled.  “As the leaders of Slytherin house, I must ask each and every one of you to set a good example for your younger Slytherins.”
“With that said, we know you are all of age now, and will enjoy more freedom than your younger counterparts.” Sharp interjected. “And while we understand wanting to enjoy fun, you are here primarily to learn and pass your NEWT exams.”
There were several audible groans and eye rolls to his statement, but Sharp relented. “We implore you all to obey the following rules—all seventh years back in the dormitory by midnight, at the very latest. And in their own beds, I might add. While I have no desire to know your…extracurricular activities, there will be grave punishment if you’re found in the wrong bed.” Sharp’s eyes flitted over to the couple, and Sebastian blushed, having flashbacks of being thrown against the edge of the Prefect’s bathroom pool by Sharp’s well aimed depulso.
“Seventh years will also be allowed to travel further than Hogsmeade, as far as Keenbridge, but on weekends only.” Ronen warned.
Theo coughed while Ominis suppressed a laugh.  The three of them had been breaking the rules on the radius restriction since their fifth year. Sebastian had always been allowed to travel to Feldcroft whenever he desired to see Anne, and no teachers dared to discipline Ominis.  Theo had been under the protection of Professor Fig her first year, and had spent most of fifth year traversing the entirety of highlands on her own. Even without Fig's excuses, she was given free rein. Most of the staff had witnessed her ancient magic, and they knew she couldn't be controlled.
Ronen and Sharp droned on about more rules, such as no liquor in their dorm rooms (Sebastian knew Violet McDowell had been hiding cases of firewhiskey in her trunk since at least third year) and when they could be out of uniform (as if Theo ever followed the uniform policy—she was always wearing something fashionable and certainly not included in the standard uniform requirements).
Sebastian felt his eyes starting to droop, until Sharp cleared his throat.
“That concludes our meeting, and you may head to your dormitory.” He said, clasping his hands in front of him. “Per the headmaster’s request, there are…necessary supplies in your rooms this year. Should you need replenishment, Nurse Blainey can assist.”
The seventh years dispersed, heading to the stone staircase that led up to their rooms.  Sebastian stopped at the foot of the staircase, his hand tentatively resting on the railing.  He remembered staring up at the seventh year dormitories when he was eleven, and how the seventh years looked so grown.  He’d never been inside, but the students had all regaled about the large, fancy rooms for the older students.  And now, in what felt like the blink of an eye, the room was his.
“You okay?” Theo asked, nudging him with her shoulder.  He looked down at her; she had her robes draped over her shoulder, the little bow at the neck of her uniform shirt undone.  If he looked hard enough, he could see the purple hickey he’d left at the base of her neck when they’d snuck out of the welcoming feast for a quick snog. Mr. Moon had awkwardly cleared his throat when he caught the pair in the entry hall, Sebastian’s lips leaving blooming marks on her skin.
His, he thought.  Thoroughly marked.
“Just can’t believe it’s our last year.” Sebastian breathed. “All the hard work…it’s finally paying off.”
“Don’t get too cocky,” Ominis huffed, passing them on the steps. “We’ve still got the NEWTs to conquer.  Come on Sebastian, we have to make sure we don't get the worst beds.”
Sebastian walked up the steps with Theo; he frowned at the loss of her hand in his as she let go.
“No goodnight kiss?” Sebastian pouted.
Theo rolled her eyes, but gave in, pressing her hands to his chest as she kissed him. Sebastian’s fingers trailed up to her hair, lightly tugging on the locks.
“Get a room!” Imelda bellowed, while Grace and Nerida wolf whistled.
Sebastian laughed against Theo’s lips as she gave the girls a rude hand gesture.  She finally pushed him away, grinning as she stepped up the stairs to her dormitory.
“See you in the morning?” she asked.
“Can’t wait.” Sebastian started walking up the opposite stairs, blowing a kiss goodbye.
He walked up to the door, pushing it open to reveal the spacious seventh year dormitory.  Eyes scanning the room, he spotted his trunk in front of a bed—always the one next to Ominis’s.  Ominis was already pulling pajamas out of his trunk, as their fellow roommates lounged on the settee. It wasn’t that Sebastian didn’t like the other boys in his year, but they’d all grown up in the same pureblood social circle as Ominis in London. He knew they looked down upon him for growing up in the countryside, so they’d maintained a polite but distant acquaintanceship with him.
“I wonder what Sharp meant by supplies,” Cyrus Lestrange hummed. “Any ideas?”
“Wager they’re school supplies?  But we already buy our own.” Peter Parkinson shrugged.
“O-ho, look at these.” John Avery said, hands digging through the fruit bowl on the table.  He pulled out a tiny vial, purple liquid dancing and splashing within.  “Wonder what these are.”
Sebastian immediately flushed, knowing exactly what it was.  In fact, he’d learned to brew the very potion himself that summer, spending several painstaking hours to ensure he’d done it just right.
“What is it?” Ominis asked, scooting forward in the bed.  He rarely interacted with the other boys outside of a quick greeting, but the silence had him intrigued.
“Some sort of potion,” Avery explained. “But I don’t…I don’t recognize it.”
“Sallow does,” Lestrange said haughtily. “The look on his face says so.”
Parkinson turned his attention to Sebastian. “Well, come off with it Sallow, what are they?”
Sebastian scratched the back of his neck, pursing his lips. “They’re…uh, they’re contraceptive potions.” He confessed.
The three other boys burst into laughter as Sebastian blushed.  Avery clapped him on the back, throwing an arm around his shoulders. Sebastian shifted uncomfortably at the contact.
“Sallow, you brute.” Parkinson snorted. “You and Caulfield are off to the races then, are you?”
Sebastian felt even more mortified, realizing that he’d not only confirmed his lack of virginity, but outed Theo’s as well.
“I just—just research, y’know.” Sebastian rolled his eyes, pushing Avery’s arms off him.  He walked over to his bed, bouncing onto the mattress.
“Bit embarrassing none of you knew what it was,” Ominis huffed.  In the moment, Sebastian was forever grateful to his best friend for changing the subject.
“You didn’t either, Gaunt.” Lestrange pointed out.
“Cyrus, I’m blind, if you haven’t noticed.”
The other boys started roaring again at Ominis’s quip; Sebastian, feeling quite queasy,  rolled off the bed and started to dig through his trunk. In all his years at Hogwarts, Sebastian rarely felt homesick for the Feldcroft cottage; however, he longed to be there now more than ever.  He shucked on his pajamas, sliding into the down feather bed, imagining it was the rickety one in Feldcroft instead.  At least there, he could sleep next to Theo.
Ten months, Sebastian thought to himself.  In ten months, they’d be done with school. After that, he could take Theo home.
Tumblr media
Sebastian woke late for the day; he figured his regimen could be delayed for at least one more day while he acclimated to school.  He dressed with a spring in his step, taking great care to shave his stubble.  Everything about the day was going to be perfect, he thought. He was going to savor every last moment he had at Hogwarts, with very best friend and very best girl at his side.
“Oh, are you done primping yourself yet?” Ominis complained from his bed.  He’d been dressed and ready to go down for breakfast, visibly regretting his decision to wait for Sebastian. “I swear, you take longer with your hair than me these days, and that’s saying something.”
Sebastian laughed, tucking his ancient runes textbook into his bag. “Fine, let’s go.”
The two opened the door, hearing yelling and screeching from the common room.
“What’s going on?” Ominis cocked his head.
Sebastian leaned over the railing, seeing the commotion below.  The girls were squabbling; Violet McDowell was being held back by Grace and Nerida, while Imelda wrangled Theo’s arm.  Lestrange, red in the face, was seated on the steps, his cheeks bright red.
“I’m just saying what we’ve all been thinking,” Violet yelled loudly.
“Go ahead,” Theo roared. “Say it again.”
Sebastian raced down the steps, stepping between the fight.
“What’s going on?” he gasped.
“McDowell and Lestrange here don’t know when to shut up,” Theo snarled, her eyes squeezed shut.  Sebastian knew why–whenever her emotions were running high, Isidora’s magic threatened to spill out of her.  “Speaking on things they don’t know anything about.”
Violet gave a vicious laugh. “Oh, don’t we all.  We were just saying how everyone was so shocked Philippa Bustrode fell with child so quickly–I was only wondering if you and Sallow were up next.”
Sebastian whirled around. “Watch your tongue,” he seethed.
Violet’s head fell back as she laughed again. “As if I haven’t already told everyone how Sebastian Sallow was spotted in a very cheeky section of Flourish and Blotts,” she turned to Cyrus, who was now rubbing his jaw. “Cyrus tells us that you two are intimately aware of the potions Professor Sharp provided.”
Theo wrestled her way out of Imelda’s grasp, pushing Sebastian out of the way.  Everyone fell silent as the sound of Theo’s hand slapping against Violet’s cheek rang in the air.
“You little slut ,” Violet screeched, lunging forward. Sebastian himself nearly sprang at her, until he suddenly snapped backwards.  Ominis had grabbed the hood of his robes, tugging him away from the fight.  Grace and Nerida both grabbed Violet’s arms, while Imelda struggled to push Theo back towards Sebastian.
“Ladies! Separate at once!” a booming voice interjected.
All of the seventh years turned their attention to the door, where Professor Ronen was standing.  The man rarely yelled–Sebastian couldn’t think of a time he’d ever seen their charms professor angry, and here he was, standing with his hands on his hips, frowning at the group.  Sebastian’s hand flew down to grab Theos, squeezing tightly.
“Just last night I asked all of you to set a good example for your fellow students, and we’ve already had a physical fight in the common room.” Ronen bellowed. “McDowell, Caulfield, follow me.  The rest of you, off to breakfast.”
Theo huffed, pulling her hand from Sebastian’s. She opened her eyes, very much back to their normal light brown, and scratched at her collar.
“I’ll see you after breakfast?” she asked breathily.
Sebastian nodded, watching her break away and follow Professor Ronen and Violet McDowell down the steps.  The girls maintained a healthy distance from one another, and Theo looked back at him, pouting.
“Your girlfriend packs quite the punch, Sallow.”
Sebastian turned to Lestrange, whose jaw was now sporting a blossoming bruise. “What did you say to her?” he growled, shoving him against the stone railing.
Lestrange laughed, wincing a little as the stone dug into his back. “Just that I wish more of the girls were like her,” he jested. “Free and willing, you know? Asked if she minded the taste .” He wagged his eyebrows, clearly proud of his innuendo.
Sebastian’s fist made easy contact with Lestrange’s nose; luckily, Professor Ronen was already too occupied with disciplining the girls to have noticed.
Tumblr media
Sebastian could hardly focus during Ancient Runes.  On top of worrying about Theo, he now had to worry about all of the studying he’d neglected over the final weeks of summer. His mind was completely blank as he stared at the translations in his textbook, leaning over quite often to whisper questions into Amit Thakkar’s ear.  Amit, always the most pleasant Ravenclaw, obliged, only growing annoyed when Sebastian asked his twentieth question.  By the middle of the class period, Sebastian found himself staring at the clock, willing it to move faster so he could get to the lunch table.
As soon as the bells rang and class was dismissed, Sebastian took off, nearly sprinting from the classroom back to the Great Hall.  As he burst through the doors, he saw Theo, sitting at the Slytherin table with Ominis, Poppy, and Imelda.  Her eyes were glued to her plate, absentmindedly pushing around her lunch.
“Hi,” Sebastian greeted them breathlessly. “How did it go?”
Poppy slid from the bench to allow him room, grimacing.  Imelda, who was on the opposite side next to Ominis, mouthed good luck.
“Spent first period being chastised by Ronen, and I had to apologize to McDowell.” Theo said dryly, looking up at Sebastian.  She had a grim look on her face. “Detention tonight and tomorrow with Sharp.”
Sebastian tucked into the bench next to her. “Two nights of detention?  She was slandering you, that’s not fair.”
Theo sighed, lolling her head. “Apparently, physical retaliation is just as bad. Suits her and Lestrange, they were both being prats.”
“You did the right thing,” Poppy huffed.  Despite her small stature, Sebastian knew from Theo’s stories that Poppy wasn’t one to shy away from a fight. The petite brunette turned to Sebastian, folding her hands on the table. “The things she was accusing Philippa Greengrass of–that’s serious.  Perhaps she’s just carrying large, that’s all.”
“Bulstrode, now.” Ominis interjected. “I went to the wedding in July. Dreadful affair.  Looked like she’d been crying the entire time.”
It took Sebastian a few moments to put the pieces together–he couldn’t understand why it would be scandalous for a married woman to be pregnant.  As he pondered, his gaze caught Andrew Larson from across the room.  The blond was sitting at the Ravenclaw table, looking rather forlorn. His smug smile was long gone, a lonely look in his eye as he stared at the empty end of the Slytherin table where Philippa used to sit.
Sebastian’s mind immediately flashed back to the last night of term, when he and Theo had caught him with Philippa in the elevator.  Ominis, saying she’d been crying over her wedding, and the broken look of Andrew Larson sitting alone.  If she’d gotten married in July, she should’ve been early on in her pregnancy, but Poppy had mentioned she was already growing large.
“Oh,” Sebastian gasped.
“Right.” Imelda said dryly, leaning in. “Rumor has it, that’s why Professor Black has asked Sharp to keep a steady stream of contraceptive potions in the dorms. It’s quite the scandal.”
Theo rolled her eyes. “It’s natural,” she huffed. “It can't possibly be the first time they've dealt with this. What I’d like to know is how Cyrus Lestrange came to think I would be an authority on the new supplies in our dorm rooms.”
Sebastian swallowed thickly.
Imelda coughed. “Y’know, I’d like to try sitting over at the Hufflepuff table. Fancy joining me, Pops?”
Poppy nodded quickly, sliding out of the bench. “Coming, Ominis?”
"Change of scenery would be nice," Ominis blurted, abandoning Sebastian for the other table despite his lack of sight.
Their friends vacated the Slytherin table with swiftness; Sebastian stared at Theo, who was glaring down at her plate.  She stabbed her fork through a chicken breast, sawing it with her knife aggressively.
“I just want to start off by saying I'm sorry.” Sebastian said, sliding in closer to her.
“What reason would you have to be sorry, my dear?” Theo’s words cut as sharply as her knife. “Do you want to tell me something?”
Sebastian winced. “Some things…came up in conversation last night.”
Theo dropped her silverware, the pieces clattering against her gold plate.  She laid her palms on the table, eyes shut as she breathed slowly. “Did you tell your roommates about our intimate experience ?”
Sebastian froze, turning red in the face. “I didn’t mean to.”
“How?” Theo opened her eyes; to his surprise, they were not red, but she was still seething.
“The potions,” he stammered. “Lestrange, Parkinson, and Avery didn’t know what the potion was, and I just blurted it out.  I swear, I didn’t say anything–they just assumed.”
“Well, he’s told just about everyone.” Theo snipped. “So, I'm assuming the whole school knows.”
“I’m sorry,” Sebastian groaned, head falling into his hands. “I didn’t mean to tell them.”
The anger melted off of Theo’s face, and she sighed. “I know.  I’m just frustrated. And now I have detention, so I won’t be able to spend time with you for the next two days.”
Sebastian looked up at her. “So you’re not mad at me?”
Theo rolled her eyes. “It’s stupid.  People would’ve assumed we were sleeping together anyways, so let them have fun with their rumors.” She eyed him, giving him a pointed smile. “Besides, I think me having detention is more of a punishment for you than me.”
Sebastian swallowed thickly as he felt her hand touch his thigh. “How so?”
Theo raised an eyebrow as her hand inched towards the inside of his leg, closer and closer to his groin. “You’ll have to go two nights without me,” she murmured. “And any extracurricular activities.”
Sebastian’s eyes flitted down to her lips. “Such a shame,” he tutted.
Theo put a finger under his chin, tilting his gaze back up to her eyes. “ Anyways, I heard you got a better shot at Lestrange; Nurse Blainey had to stop the bleeding. My hero,” she chuckled.
Sebastian gulped. “Do you have a free period next?”
Theo nodded. “You haven’t eaten lunch though.”
“I’ll grab something later,” Sebastian muttered into her ear. “But right now, we’re going to the Undercroft.”
“Why?” Theo feigned innocence. “Whatever for?”
“To reward my girlfriend for taking out two enormous prats in one day,” Sebastian grinned, gripping her hand. “Now come on, before Ominis realizes where we’re going.”
Sebastian stood quickly, tugging her up from the bench. Theo laughed, letting her napkin fall to the floor as the majority of the Great Hall stared at them. The two of the giggled as they ran from the Great Hall to the Defense Against the Dark Arts wing, nearly mowing down a herd of first years in the process.  Sebastian couldn’t unlock the door fast enough, with Theo prodding him in the back.  As soon as the wrought iron gates shut behind them, Sebastian pushed her against the stone wall, making quick work of her shirt.
“Careful now,” Theo teased, wrapping her leg around his waist to pull him closer. “Remember the last time I got naked down here?”
Sebastian growled against her lips.  He pressed his growing arousal into her hips, slipping a hand underneath her skirt.  It bunched at her waist as she moaned, his fingers making contact with her soaking wet core. Sebastian sucked another mark into her neck, only now in a more visible spot. If the whole school knew they were being intimate, he didn’t care anymore.  At least they knew Theo was his.
“Hold on,” Theo gasped, batting him away.  Sebastian backed up for a moment, eyebrows furrowed, until he saw her shove her hand into her pocket, pulling two tiny purple vials from her skirt.  She handed one to Sebastian, who blushed as he took it.
“Might as well put them to good use,” he observed, downing the vial in one go.
Theo did the same, chucking the vial after she drank it. “Saves us some knuts since we don’t have to buy the ingredients ourselves.” she winked.
Sebastian laughed, pressing his body against her once more.
Tumblr media
“So much homework,” Sebastian groaned, dropping his head against his textbook. “Three rolls of parchment for Runes, two for Potions, and four for Defense Against the Dark Arts!  It’s inhumane.”
Ominis let out a loud sigh. “It’s just how NEWTs are, Sebastian.”
“Well, NEWTs are going to ruin my life.” Sebastian grumbled.
The boys were sitting at a study table in the common room, nearly everyone else off to bed.  They were waiting for Theo to get back from her detention with Professor Sharp, which had been to scrub the cauldrons the first year students had inevitably destroyed during their first ever potions lesson.
“I don’t know how I’m going to balance it all,” Sebastian mused, dribbling ink onto his parchment. “School, grades, working for Sirona again, Theo…” his voice trailed off.
“I’m sure Theo will understand that school and work comes first,” Ominis reminded him.
Sebastian fiddled with the quill in hand. “I told her I want to help her figure out a cure.” he admitted.
Ominis froze, setting his wand down. “You can’t still be going on about Anne, Sebastian.” he snipped. “Haven’t you learned–”
“It’s not for Anne,” Sebastian interjected hastily. “For her .”
Ominis’s eyebrows lifted in confusion. “What does Theo possibly need a cure for?”
“The magic she absorbed,” Sebastian reminded him. “I told you–the red in her eyes, she’s absorbed Isidora’s magic.  I want to help her figure out a way to get it out, safely.”
Ominis chewed on his lower lip thoughtfully. “Did she ask you to help her?”
Sebastian hesitated, and that told Ominis everything he needed to know.
“You can’t keep trying to fix people who didn’t ask for help, Sebastian.” Ominis said gently. “We’ve gone down this path before.  We know how it ends.”  There was a lilt in his voice when he ended the sentence, as if Sebastian of all people could ever forget what had transpired.
“I don’t need a reminder, thanks.” Sebastian said tersely. “She agreed to let me search, so I’m doing it.”
They could hear the doors of the common room open, feet dragging down the spiral staircase.  Sebastian turned, seeing a very tired Theo.  Her hair was tied up in a knot, and she was rubbing her hands.  Sebastian immediately stood, enveloping her in a hug.
“You smell awful,” he wrinkled his nose. “What the hell were the first years brewing?”
“I don’t know,” Theo groaned. “But it was something to do with stinksap. And Sharp made me clean them by hand.”
Despite the smell, Sebastian pressed a kiss to Theo’s sore fingers.  “Come on, you need a bath.  Let’s go up to the Room of Requirement.” he nudged her knuckles with his nose.
“I can’t possibly,” Theo complained. “I’ve just walked all the way down here, and what if Deek comes in?”
“I can carry you,” Sebastian said softly. “And I’ve paid Deek five galleons to leave us be for the night.  He’s a very reasonable little house elf, after all.”
Theo looked up at him, a faint smile on her lips. “You bribed a house elf.”
Sebastian laughed, wrapping his arms around her waist. “I did indeed.”
“And you won’t be bothered if Lestrange and the others say something funny about you not being in bed?” she asked curiously. “What about all the rules?”
“You and I, darling, have never been good with rules.” Sebastian murmured. “And if Lestrange feels fit to say something again, I’m happy to duel him.”
“Can the two of you please decide if you’re leaving?” Ominis rolled his eyes. “I’d like to know if it’s safe to go to bed or not.”
“We’re going, we’re going.” Theo laughed. “Have a good night, Ominis.”
Ominis waved them off; he could pretend to be annoyed all he wanted, but the smile on his mouth said otherwise.
Sebastian yanked Theo up the stone stairs to the exit; she huffed, but he only tugged her hand even more, encouraging her to follow.
“Does a disillusionment charm work if you’re carrying someone?” Theo asked as they neared the top.
“I think we’re about to find out,” Sebastian breathed, lowering himself so Theo could straddle his back.  He lifted her up, hands under her knees, shifting her weight further onto him.  One of Theo’s arms lifted from his shoulders, uttering the disillusionment charm.  The two of them disappeared, like a trick of the light.
It was a long trek from the Slytherin dorms to the Room of Requirement, but Sebastian relished the silence with Theo.  They were lucky enough not to encounter any prefects or ghosts on their way to the astronomy tower.  Theo tightened her arms around him, nuzzling her face into the crook of his neck.
“Remember the last time I carried you around the castle?” Sebastian let out a breathy laugh.
Theo snorted. “I don’t–mostly because I was too drunk.”
Sebastian chuckled at the memory of him dragging her down to the dungeons, sopping wet from snow. “You were awfully heavy.”
Theo swatted at his head and Sebastian laughed again.
The last set of stairs up to the Room of Requirement had been excruciating, taking quite a bit of time. Theo had offered to walk them herself, but Sebastian remained steadfast in his insistence that he could carry her the entire way.  Once they’d made it to the tapestry of Barnabas the Barmy, Sebastian let her fall from his back, concealing his groan as the ornate door flew open.
“Deek has been keeping the place running,” she breathed, walking ahead of him. “I should check the vivariums, start brewing some potions to have on stock…”
“All of that can wait until the morning, love.” Sebastian stood with his arms crossed. “You, bath, now .”
Theo rolled her eyes, letting her hair down from the knot atop her head. “Whatever you say,” she hummed, kicking off her shoes.  She walked down to the lower chamber of the room, audibly requesting a bathtub from the room.  Sebastian could hear the room adjusting itself, the floor in the other room opening up to reveal a large clawfoot bathtub near the window.  He followed at a lazy pace, watching as she stripped her uniform off and kicked it to the side. Leaning to the side of the doorway, he stared as Theo stepped into a steaming bath.
“Happy now?” she mused, splashing water out of the tub. “Are you going to join me?”
Sebastian smiled, shaking his head. “I’m already clean–but I’ll sit here.”  he said, pulling a stool up to the tub.  “Perhaps the room can conjure me a book.”
“I’d much rather talk to you,” Theo rested her elbows on the edge of the tub. “I might say, you’ve gotten the perfect opportunity to have me naked, yet you’d rather fool around in the Undercroft.”
Sebastian leaned down from the stool, placing a finger under her chin to lift it up. “You’re tired,” he murmured. “And I’d rather you relax. You’ve had quite a taxing day.”
And so, Sebastian watched Theo melt into the bath, the room having conjured her favorite bar of soap.  They talked about their first day of school, the homework they’d already been assigned, and any gossip they’d overheard during class. Ominis and Poppy were still painfully shy around one another, Theo had reported.  Sebastian eavesdropped on a conversation between Garreth and Leander, the latter already plotting how to brew his spiked potions under Sharp’s watchful eye.
“Is it really true about Philippa Greengrass?” Sebastian asked as Theo stepped out of the tub, wrapping herself in a robe the room had provided her.
Theo sighed, shrugging. “I don’t know. Probably. I saw her in Diagon Alley when I met up with Grace and Nerida to buy school supplies.  She definitely looks further along than two months, I’ll tell you that.” Theo twisted her hair, wringing out the water. “She looked absolutely miserable.”
The room creaked again; this time, a large bed appeared at the other end of the room.  Without a word, the two meandered over to the edge.  It seemed to know both of their needs–there was a nightlight and a book on the table next to Sebastian’s side, as well as a valet stand for his clothes.  Theo’s side was empty, save for a rack that had a simple nightgown draped over it.
“Poor Larson,” Sebastian sighed.  He shrugged off his uniform shirt, hanging it on the stand as he sat on the bed to work on his shoes. “I mean, can you imagine?  Never knowing if it’s your child?”
“It’s the reality of things,” Theo mused, hanging the robe.  “I doubt the Bulstrodes will ever say anything, especially since they went through with the wedding.” She slid the nightgown on, slipping into the bed. “I honestly can’t believe she’s having a baby.  A whole baby.”
Sebastian hung his pants and socks, dropping his shoes as he hopped into the bed. While the rest of the room had darkened, he flicked on the nightlight, thumbing through the magical theory book the room had produced for him.  As Sebastian read, Theo sidled up to him, drawing circles on his chest. There was a pregnant pause between the couple, until Sebastian cleared his throat.
“Would you like to have children someday?” he asked quietly. “I just realized I’ve never asked.”
Theo nuzzled her cheek into him. “I think I would,” she whispered. “With you. When we're older, of course.”
Sebastian’s heart fluttered, shutting the book and setting it down on the nightstand. He pulled her close, pressing a kiss to the top of her head. “We’ll raise them in London then,” he said confidently. “Somewhere they can go to museums, to the theater.  We’ll raise the smartest buggers in Hogwarts’s history. And maybe on the weekends and school holidays, we’ll stay in Feldcroft. We'll spend Christmas in Feldcroft,” he trailed off. “That sounds good to me.”
“Planning already? Awfully forward of you.” Theo laughed.
“You know me, always one step ahead.” Sebastian joked. “I’d like to plan my whole life with you, if that’s alright.” His voice softened.
Theo merely hummed in agreement as Sebastian stroked her hair. Her breathing slowed, and he could soon hear her soft snores. There would be time for lovemaking (perhaps in the morning, but he knew both of them wouldn’t wake up early enough) but Theo was tired, and he wanted her to sleep. Sebastian relished the feeling of her sleeping in his arms, rubbing his chin on the top of her head.
Before long, he too drifted off to sleep.  His dreams were filled with Theo, carrying his child, at home in Feldcroft.
Tumblr media
September 1898
Sebastian opened his eyes, immediately turning his head to the right.  As he’d hoped and dreamt, Theo was laying face down next to him, her wild hair splayed on the pillows. She had always been a deep sleeper, barely stirring as he dragged his fingers up and down her spine.  She shivered, but then relaxed back into the sheets, snoring lightly.
Perfect, beautiful, Theo. This was always how he’d imagined it, the two of them waking up in bed together.
Sebastian slid out from under the sheets, naked as the day he was born.  He padded into Theo’s dressing room, hoping to fix some of the mess they’d made the night before. Florence the owl was hooting angrily in the window, her stand having been knocked over.
“I’m sorry,” Sebastian laughed, setting it upright. “Don’t be too angry.”
The owl merely clicked her beak, demanding treats.  Sebastian happily obliged the bird, thankful that she’d spent many hours delivering him letters.
Finding his wand under a discarded cloak, he slipped on one of Theo’s fluffy robes and got to work.  First casting reparo on the changing screen, the lattice work threaded back together as it went to its intended space. He then started picking up the boxes and papers that had been flung off Theo’s desk in their flurry of lovemaking–stacks of boxes filled with baubles, and then her letters.  Most of them were from him (he felt especially smug seeing some of the erotic letters he’d penned her were kept together with a sweet little ribbon) others from Ominis, Leander, and Natty.  He organized them on the desk, putting them in neat little piles.
He picked up a letter; the penmanship was eerily close to his, albeit a bit tidier.  He swallowed thickly as his eyes poured over the text.  Something about a new job, moving into a small flat.  How she and Theo needed to find time together, apologizing for going so long without notice.
Love, Anne
Sebastian shut his eyes, imagining Theo sitting with Anne for tea. Were they friends now?  Did they see each other often? His heart pattered at the thought of his long lost sister with Theo, waiting for him to come home.
“You’re up early.”
He whirled around, seeing Theo in the doorway.  Her hair looked like a bird’s nest, clad in a rumpled nightgown. She gave him a saucy grin, tiptoeing over the mess towards him. “And you look hilarious in my robe.”
Sebastian rolled his eyes, putting the letter down on the desk as Theo wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him down for a kiss.
“How did you sleep?” Sebastian asked.
“Deeper than I have in years,” Theo gave a dreamy sigh. “You’ve worn me out.”
Sebastian bit down on his lip. It would take all of his willpower not to stay in bed with her for another day.  The thought was tempting though; the sight of her, lips still swollen from a night of lovemaking, was enough to drive him mad.  He lifted his hand to her cheek, letting his thumb run over her puffy lips. Looking up at him through her thick lashes, Theo’s lips parted to let his finger slide in.
“You can’t do this to me,” Sebastian strained. “We have to get out of the house.”
She let out a sparkling laugh, pulling back from him. “I know,” she rolled her eyes. “We should get to the apothecary before too many people are out and about.”
Sebastian nodded. They had played it rather risky the night before–while he’d spent the better half of five years imagining Theo’s belly swelling with his child, he’d rather hoped it would be after they had settled down.  The matter of his placement was still at hand, and he hadn’t even told Theo about Rothwell’s proposition for him to stay in Cairo yet.
Another time, Sebastian thought.
“Go off, get dressed. I’ll meet you back here when you’re done.” Theo said, sitting down at her vanity.  She picked up her brush, trying to tame her locks. “We’ll go to Diagon Alley."
Sebastian nodded, walking over to the mirror to go back to his flat.  Before he stepped in, he turned back, watching her at the dressing table.  She was humming a song as she pinned up her hair, twirling it into some fashionable updo.  “What?” Theo asked, pins in her mouth. She turned; the silver chain was still around her neck, the ring dangling at her decolletage.
Sebastian shook his head, smiling. “Nothing.  Just glad to be home.”
Tumblr media
The streets of Diagon Alley were bustling, despite the early hour.  Sebastian had put on a nice linen suit, slicking back his hair.  Theo’s arm was laced through his; she wore a pretty purple day dress, with one of those terribly impractical hats atop her head.
“I’d forgotten how formal everything is here,” Sebastian mused. He’d wanted nothing more than to throw an arm around her, pressing kisses as they walked through the streets. Instead, they stayed a healthy distance away from one another, walking politely.
“It’s just for now,” Theo reminded him. “Once Ominis and I have figured out a way to end things–”
“I know,” Sebastian grumbled.
“In good time, my love.” Theo murmured, patting his arm.
They walked down to the apothecary; once inside, they went their separate ways.  Theo pretended to look at ingredients as Sebastian dealt with the shopkeep.
“I’m looking for a few items,” Sebastian said quickly, shoving his hands in his pockets. Despite being a grown man, having to ask for the ingredients was still mortifying.  He could never forget the way Mr. Pippin had laughed when he bought a surplus of ingredients the summer before seventh year.  He’d even given his own advice on how to brew it, leaving Sebastian red in the face.
“What kind, sir?” The old shopkeeper asked innocently.
“Er, tansy, peppermint, and wormwood.” Sebastian pulled at his collar.
The shopkeeper gave him a curious look. “I do have those on hand–and a particular brew pre-made, in case you needed it sooner.” their eyes flew up to Theo, who was still innocently browsing.
“That would be great,” Sebastian rasped.
The shopkeeper nodded, turning to go down into the cellar. As soon as they were out of sight, Theo walked over, laughing.
“I can’t believe you’re still embarrassed.” she snorted. “What are you, a teenage boy again?”
Sebastian rolled his eyes. “You buy it then,” he demanded.
Theo chuckled, fixing the lapels of his jacket. “I vividly remember you promising that you would buy it. After the third…no, was it the fourth time…”
Sebastian was definitely red in the face. “Have mercy on me,” he murmured, wrapping an arm around her waist. “You weren’t complaining, if I recall correctly.”
Theo bit down on her lower lip, her eyes dropping to his. “No, I wasn’t.”
Sebastian yearned to kiss her, but the bell at the front of the store rang.  The two of them jumped several feet apart as customers walked in. A few ladies came into the store, and to Sebastian’s surprise, Violet McDowell. She had her hand on her stomach, clearly pregnant.
“Sebastian!” Violet exclaimed. “What on earth are you doing here?”
Sebastian gave her a meek smile. “Nice to see you, Violet.”
Violet turned her head to Theo, her nose turned up. “And Theodora, how lovely to see you.  You must be so excited that Sebastian is home.”
Theo gave Violet one of her saccharine smiles, one that Sebastian knew was obviously fake. “Vi, so good to see you.  How is your husband?”
Violet swung around to Sebastian, showing off a diamond ring. “It’s Violet McLaggen now,” she announced, waggling her fingers. “Married last year. He’s lovely. A junior undersecretary to the Minister of Magic himself.” she bragged.
“How nice,” Sebastian feigned.
“Due any day now, aren’t you?” Theo interjected. “That must be so exciting.”
“Buzzing with excitement,” Violet rubbed her stomach proudly. “Oh Theo, you really should be settling down soon before you’re too old.  I keep telling Grace and Nerida the same. Imelda however, she’s a lost cause,” Violet giggled. “How is Ominis?”
Sebastian hardened his jaw; he could tell Theo was also fighting the urge to set Violet aflame.
“Oh he’s just fine, he’s actually–”
“Your ingredients, sir.” The shopkeeper said loudly. “And I had a few vials of the brew on hand.”  They set the purple vials on the counter, out for everyone to see. “So for the tansy, the peppermint, and wormwood it’ll be six galleons. With the potions it’ll be–”
“Here,” Sebastian said hastily, shoving money towards the shopkeeper.  Theo kept her eyes glued to Violet as he stuffed the bag into his jacket pocket.
“Well, my, my.” Violet simpered, a smug look on her face. “I see not much has changed.”
Theo rolled her eyes. “Oh Vi, I wouldn’t assume.” she snapped.
Violet held up a gloved hand. “No assumptions from me, Theo.” she grinned. “I’ll let you two go; it was lovely to see you both.”
Theo and Sebastian left the apothecary, both red in the face.  Sebastian gripped the bag with the ingredients and potions, feeling more embarrassed than he had in years.
“I would’ve slapped her all over again if she wasn’t pregnant,” Theo grumbled. “I hate her.”
“Oh, it can’t be that bad.” Sebastian said. “I mean, everyone knows not to trust Violet McDowell.”
Theo crossed her arms, shifting uncomfortably. “Word travels fast around here, Sebastian. I wouldn’t be surprised if some rumor was in tomorrow’s Witch Weekly.” She craned her neck, appraising the crowd. “We should tell Ominis.”
Sebastian rolled his eyes. “I hate this,” he muttered. “I hate that we have to pretend.”
“Well, if you had told me you were coming home, I could’ve dealt with it ahead of time.” Theo sighed. “No use being glum about it.”
The pair walked in silence, Theo’s heeled boots clacking against the cobblestone as she tightened her grip on his arm.  Sebastian had promised to take her dress shopping to replace the one he’d torn to shreds the night before, but all he really wanted was to be home with her, free to kiss her as he pleased. And as beautiful as the purple gown was, Sebastian imagined it would look far, far better on the floor.
He cleared his throat as they walked down the street. “Did you still want to go dress shopping?” he asked. “Because if not…”
Theo released her grip on his arm, dancing as she turned to face him with a coy smile. “Let’s go another time.  I can think of many more fun things to do at home.”
Sebastian grinned broadly, pushing the entire awkward morning out of his mind.  He pulled Theo into the closest dark corner, tugging her close as they apparated back to her house.
Keeping their relationship a secret was just an annoyance for now. He’d have to find the right opportunity to snatch the ring around her neck.  Once he had it, he could propose again, and then they could truly live the lives they’d planned.  A house in London to raise the children, and Feldcroft for Christmas. Perhaps he could convince her to stay in Cairo with him for a few more years before they settled down.  Twenty three was still young, after all.
They reappeared in Theo’s dressing room. Theo immediately started taking her hair down, her dark tresses swaying back and forth as she struggled on the buttons of her skirt. Beaming, Sebastian shrugged off his jacket, leaving the bag of potions on the table. Two new dresses couldn’t be that expensive, he thought, helping Theo tug off her skirts.  She shrieked with laughter as he walked her into the bedroom, buttons falling to the ground in the corridor.
There would be time to talk–but for now, Sebastian had to make up for lost time.

#782: Faculty Tower Breakdown
This one post is going to be small but very special to me. ^ ^
For quite some time, months I'll say, I've been wondering about how the castle's inside matches its outside. Where are the windows of professors' rooms? How to spot less obvious locations from outside the walls? Not at all a full comprehensive guide but still might be a helpful tip to the Slice of Life authors or anybody curious out there.
We'll start with a tidbit of my House — The Ravenclaw Tower.
The post has obnoxious amount of pictures.
Apologies for funny handwriting.
As you can see, the tower has floors for each year but only 4 of the 7 are accessible in-game. Floor plaques are also differently placed (6th year floor being reserved for the 5th year students) and you'd have to use imagination to fit in the bathrooms.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ravenclaw Tower overlooks the Faculty Tower. Roughly put together, the most notable locations of the Tower are these:
Tumblr media
To put it all into a perspective that is likely to be seen in-game: the view from an archway leading out to the Entrance Hall courtyard.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As you can see, first floor staff gathering could oversee the Quad courtyard through the erker— oriel window. Professor Sharp has one as well but his view might be obstructed and limited due to its height.
Here's what our lovely Potions master could see through the oriel window:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And here is what he could see through the other window:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hogwarts is easy to navigate outside by its windows. Each location has different kind and form of windows — or non at at all but that bit is for another day (if anybody is interested in a little continuation).
Tumblr media
The wall of five closely put triple lancet windows seen conjoining the Clock Tower is the passageway seen outside the Hospital Wing:
Tumblr media
Windows of the Hospital Wing are also very distinct by the sheer size and match the ~30 degree angle of the outer wall:
Tumblr media
With a little bit of Ansel magic, we can with all certainty tell that the Prefects Bathroom is directly underneath the Hospital Wing:
Tumblr media
And is located on the same level as the lower part of the passageway to the Clock Tower.
Knowing this, we can go down the helix, that is around the centre part of the Tower, and found ourselves here:
Tumblr media
Down the stairs are Sharp's private quarters (if you scroll up to the Quad Courtyard pictures you'll notice 'balcony'; I was referring to this place specifically) and the same wall Hospital Wing, Prefects Bathroom and the Faculty Tower Staircase are facing.
Here is the better show of the area outside:
Tumblr media
and from the inside:
Tumblr media
Sharp's windows:
Tumblr media
Bits of magic again to better understand the room's placement; interesting thing to notice: 1) Sharp's fireplace doesn't have functioning chimney at all; 2) his art room is directly above his bedroom; 3) the lower oriel window is the Faculty Tower's hall, meeting hall? Whatever; those two out-of-place windows are the ones on the floor where you can find Professor Onai and Professor Ronen's rooms.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Speaking of which.
Rooms of said professors 1) don't have any windows, 2) share a wall, 3) and both share a wall to the corridor leading to Gryffindor Common Room:
Tumblr media
If you remember, Professor McGonagall could hear Gryffindor partying behind the wall of her chambers. 🤭
Underneath the floor are Professor Fig and Professor Garlic's chambers:
Tumblr media
A better look on the windows in professors' bedrooms:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
If you think something doesn't add up on that wall, it is. The lower part isn't displaying the helix on the right correctly; the windows should've been following the curve of the stairs. I would attach the pictures proving it but only 30 are allowed per post so. .—.

I'm totally sane about this game. ^ ^

MC: Brilliant, Ominis LOVES romantic stuff too, maybe the two of you can cuddle up next to a cozy fire somewhere, Ominis can enjoy his sweeties, while you just read him lots of romantic poems, then, who knows where the night may lead *giggles*
Rowan: Heh..I think he'd actually really like that.
MC: He definitely would *smiles*

One of my favorite things about the Yule Ball is when the house head have to teach the students how to dance. While we have no idea who among the professors are the house heads, the idea of Sebastian being chosen to dance with the professor for the dance practice will never leave my mind.
Oh, I love this.
Considering how most who become Head of House are from the respective house themselves, I'd say that:
Mirabel Garlick is the Head of House for Hufflepuff. Needless to say, everyone is absolutely eager to dance with her and it's generally a very fun time. She's kind in her corrections when students step on her feet and quick to praise them when they get it right.
Dinah Hecat is the Head of House for Ravenclaw. People tend to underestimate her mobility and need to stop their jaws from crashing through the floor when she leads her students through a speedy and absolutely flawless waltz. She can be quite teasing during her lessons but always praises success.
Phineas Black would be the Head of House for Slytherin but he cannot be bothered to delay any of his vitally important tasks (read: naps) just to teach clumsy students to put one foot in front of another (he can't dance at all, everyone knows, but all of them play along because nobody wants to witness that disaster on the dance floor). He can't really delegate the task to Aesop Sharp; his injury prevents him from using his leg for extended periods of time and his movements are quite stiff. The dancing lessons fall to Abraham Ronen instead. It's awkward at first, but he's fun and takes the pressure off of his students immediately. His joy is contagious and soon enough people are eager to practice with him. He tends to tell anecdotes during those dance lessons.
While Matilda Weasley is the Head of House for Gryffindor, she and Eleazar Fig split the dance lessons. Both of them are quite busy and they will substitute for each other accordingly. Students generally prefer the Deputy Headmistress, just because she is more confident in her movements and knows exactly what to tell students to improve their performances. Eleazar Fig tends to be awkward about it; the only person he ever danced with was his wife Miriam and they had "their own style", which is to say, a sense of rhythm isn't really something he possesses. That being said, he tries his best and learns together with the students, which a lot of them find endearing.

Chapter 4 - Series Masterlist - Navigation - Chapter 6
Tumblr media
Multicolored puffskeins were at your feet, bouncing on your legs and vying for your attention, much like the rest of the beasts in the forest vivarium. You spent your Thursday afternoon in the Room of Requirement after a frustrating class on Ancient Runes, at this point, you didn't know why you had signed up for the bloody class. You overestimated your ability to pay attention, thinking that your slight interest in the subject would mean you would actually listen to the droning of the Professor.
The time you spent with your beasts as a form of procrastination was therapeutic, alas, your time was ending and you would have to do your homework for potions soon.
You fed and pet every single one of the exotic creatures to the point where you had feathers and fur all over you. It wasn't until Deek had emerged from the entrance to tell you that you had a letter, that you let out a heavy breath and decided to stop lingering.
With your final goodbyes to your adorable animals, you stepped through the portal back to the large room where the house elf handed you the letter.
Y/n,
Whenever you are available, I would like to study with you in the Undercroft. I will be skipping dinner waiting for your arrival.
Ominis
Interesting...
You and Ominis were on speaking terms, more than just classmates but not exactly besties on the level that he and Sebastian were on. It pleased you to know that he wanted to hang out, officially, that is.
The two of you had a bit of a rough start in the beginning, especially with the way you enabled Sebastian at times with his quest to save Anne, you wouldn't have and didn't blame him for his response to everything that went down so you were happy to refresh the page and start anew.
You changed into a different set of robes and sprayed yourself with your floral-scented perfume to hide the stench of the animals you spent half the day with.
~~~
"Knock knock," You voiced out into the secret room as the metal gates to the Undercroft shut with a clamber.
"Y/n?" Ominis said on a wooden desk he must have conjured since it wasn't there before.
"I must say I was quite surprised to receive your owl, Omi," You walked over to him and settled your writing tools for the essay you were going to force yourself to work on.
His eyes narrowed at the nickname.
"Right, that was weird," You cringed and slid into the seat across from him. "Sorry, wanted to try it out."
"Not your best, I must say," His lips quirked upward. "Shall we get started?"
"We shall," You unrolled the scroll of parchment and your advanced potions textbook. "What are you working on?"
"Practice test for Charms, Professor Ronen just assigned it today but I want to get it done as soon as possible, who knows when the man will spring up his practice quiz."
You were familiar with Professor Ronen and his spontaneity, always the one to make sure his students were actually paying attention in his class, he would give you a practice exam to review and give you all homework credit for it but it was also a warning for his pop quizzes he frequently liked to give.
"Oh! I have mine with me if you'd like to just copy off mine and study later?" You offered. You brought your satchel with all the books of assignments you have and have not completed.
Ominis appeared thoughtful and declined, "That's alright, I prefer to study the material given to me actually. It was kind of you to offer."
"Not at all," You smiled at the fact that you were getting to know little details like this about Ominis.
~~~
A full hour of work, the Undercroft echoed with the scribbles of your quills on parchment and the turning of textbook pages. Not at all as awkward as you thought it was going to be when you were heading over here.
The only times you would talk to Ominis were when you were both surrounded by people, in the Great Hall or in class, the both of you gravitated toward each other in a room full of classmates who hadn't been through the same experiences and grief- all thanks to Sebastian.
You thought that being alone with him without Sebastian's impending doom looming over the both of you, would be tense but it hasn't been.
Ominis worked on his assignment, while you worked on yours- 12 inches of parchment on Everlasting Elixirs. It was due next week Monday and you knew that you had to get started on it somehow if not, by the time you actually put the effort in, it would take you til the morning of the due date to finish.
That was stress you did not need when you were already worried about sodding Ancient Runes class.
"Is something the matter, Y/n?" Ominis broke the silence.
"W- Yes, I am." You were surprised by the question, "Do I not seem alright?"
"You're very quiet, well you are quiet but you're thinking so much, I can almost hear it." He chuckled lightly as he said it. "As a matter of fact, you've been quite pensive these past few weeks."
"Have I?"
"I'm blind Y/n, that does not mean that I do not notice such things." He sits up straighter, "Your other friends may not have seen it, that lot has always been more extroverted but so were you, last year. Not as much but still I can feel it when I'm around you, it's as if you're less enthused."
You rolled your eyes with a smile, he cared. It was a little bit of a shock to know that he did but it warmed your heart.
"I have a confession to make," He started.
"Do tell," You placed your elbows on the table and leaned in, curiously awaiting.
"You mustn't tell anyone," He says with a stern tone. "Not even Sebastian."
You snorted in an unladylike manner, "Done."
He inhales, and confesses, "I'm a legilimens."
Your face contorted in confusion, your silence gave it away before you had to ask what that was. You had only been a part of the Wizarding world for a school year, you didn't know much besides what you had encountered and learned about last year.
"It's a person who can read the thoughts of others, I can look into your mind and find your deepest memories, even read your thoughts at present if I wanted to."
"Are you trying to tell me that you read my mind?" You didn't know how you felt about that. "That's what all the concern is about."
"I- Well, no. I wasn't lying when I said I felt the way your energy has changed. It's not something I can control or practice often, though I should."
"Is it something that you learned or were you born with it?" Had he always been able to do that and just now said something because he heard something that drew him to be worried?
"Wizards and Witches can learn and master it but for me, it was a trait passed down from my ancestor, I choose not to use the ability," His voice was tight as he explained. "Your thoughts were loud, I didn't mean to intrude, I'm telling you this because I want to trust you. I want you to trust me as well. I know you and Sebastian are still not speaking-"
"I was wondering when you were going to bring him up," You sighed. "How is he, by the way? Since we're on the subject."
"He's Sebastian, complicated and stubborn" He answered. "This was never about him, point is, I've noticed over the course of a few weeks that you haven't been yourself and was wondering if there was anything I can do to assist."
You crossed your arms and leaned on the back of your chair, "While I appreciate the concern, I am quite alright, Ominis."
"You know, Sebastian and Anne have been a better family to me than my actual blood. They had no hate in their hearts, they held no judgment on me and the beliefs of my family." He cleared his throat, "I was gutted at what had happened to Anne and the path that Sebastian took to try and save her. That drove a wedge between him and me, as you've witnessed. Dark magic is not something I could ever resort to, you know this, ever. Not even for someone I consider a brother, so trust me when I say I meant no offense when I heard your thoughts."
"I know, Ominis," You said in a light tone to ease his mind. You weren't upset at him for accidentally reading your mind, it caught you off-guard and you were just grateful you weren't thinking something embarrassing.
"So your parents are racist," you joked to ease the tension. "To be expected with the whole Slytherin thing, pureblood supremacy and all that, obviously not your thing."
"A never-ending fight," He exhaled. "I never asked- not that it matters but where are you from?"
"I'm muggle-born," You shrugged. "I had shown signs of having some magical ability when I was a child but my parents were visibly uncomfortable whenever I showed signs so I just held it in, kind of trained myself to ignore the urges, and even went to a muggle primary and secondary school."
His eyebrows quirked at the information, how different the two of you are.
You continued, "It got to the point where I just couldn't hold it anymore and everything just burst out of me. At the worst time, might I add, in the middle of the class- everyone fell out of their desks. I was nervous for a presentation and everyone was overwhelming me with questions, With all the build-up from never being released, I just exploded. Freaked my parents out, by some miracle of fate, I heard a pair of wizards buzzing on about Hogwarts and so I wrote a letter to Professor Black and here I am."
Ominis blinked, processing the information, "Fate was right to bring you here. I'm not my parents but just be glad you're in Slytherin, that's the only prejudice I will take part in though you do spend a great amount of time with Gryffindors, I'm not so sure the sorting hat made the right choice."
You reach over the table and push his shoulder lightly, he laughed breathlessly in his seat.
"I'll have you know, a Gryffindor could never get out of the skirmishes I have, and that's all thanks to my cunning."
"Or sheer luck," He murmured.
You tossed your quill at his chest, "Oh, stuff it."

“Oh! Hello, my Young Friends! And Where may I be this fine evening?” The stoney visage of Ignatia Wildsmith moved with more grace than you would expect stone to have
“You could have waited Sebastian” Ominis teased as he bought Evelyn into the room, her face puffy from the mixed bag of emotions upstairs. Anne touched Eves arm, her nose scrunched up as if to ask Are you okay? Evelyn just nodded.
“I didn’t think it would do anything I just lit the flame” Sebastian scratched at his neck in confusion.
The sound of stone moving against stone alerted them all to the Ignatias plaque waiting not so patiently upon the hearth. Her eyes slowly moving between them all.
“Sorry Ignatia, we’ve just popped you up in my Ho-“ Eve started before being interrupted
“Hollow Haunt” Anne shouted clasping her hands over her own mouth at the sheer volume that escaped her.
“Very well” the golden scroll beneath Ignatias bust burned with the inscription Hollow Haunt as her profile settled back into the plaque to remain inanimate. Everyone looked at Anne, who giggled nervously.
“It’s the only thing I remember from History of Magic. The first name you say to a Ignatia plaque is the name of the location.” She explained wringing her hands awkwardly.
“Okay” Eve shrugged, not really caring what her house had been named “Why Hollow Haunt?”
“Well…” she grinned seeing the indifference in Eves face “Since Professor Ronen put the defensive charms around the house the muggles struggle to…comprehend the property. That combined with me being as pale as I am and sometimes things float around the house, the villagers think I’m a ghost. The Hollow Residence is Haunted…Hollow Haunt” she grinned ear to ear “I’ve always wanted to be a ghost and scare children”
Sebastian tried desperately not to laugh. Eve seemed in a odd mood and he didn’t want to offend her anymore than Anne’s stunt may have. He clasped his hand over his mouth to hide the curl of lips.
Ominis simply shook his head. This is typical Anne. But he couldn’t grumble it was nice to have ‘typical’ Anne back.
“I love it!” Eve couldn’t help but smile. Anne’s joy was contagious and it was a rather clever name.
“Oh I’m so glad” She sighed in relief “I got food ready whilst you were upstairs” she skipped to the kitchen without pause.
“I thought we were going back after we’d put this thing up” Sebastian wiped his brow looking at Eve still unsure of her mood “I mean…it’s your house”
“We may as well stay the night now it’s dark out, and we won’t be able to get back before curfew if we’re eating”
“Are you okay with that?” Ominis squeezed her arm.
“Yes it’s fine” she smiled taking his hand and leading him to the small dining table shoved up the corner of the kitchen. Sebastian grabbed the plates from the kitchen cabinets and began to lay the table, whilst they idly chatted. Perhaps having people here wasn’t so bad. As though he could hear her thoughts Ominis squeezed her knee under the table, offering her a genuine smile.
“Told you” he whispered leaning into her “This is better than Home”
“Budge up now, time to get friendly” Sebastian leant across the tiny table putting bowls out for each of them. Ominis grabbed the underside of Evelyn’s chair scraping it across the floor and inching it closer towards him. She blushed at the sudden proximity, their chairs practically interlocked.
“Since when do you lot care about curfew anyway?” Anne asked serving out the homemade stew she’d been cooking since they arrived.
“Since…” Sebastian gulped sitting opposite Ominis on the round table “Since I’m the Tri Wizard Champion for Hogwarts”
“No” Anne said flatly taking her seat finally bumping shoulder to shoulder with Sebastian
“Yes?” He responded cautiously
“Merlin…I could cry! She flung her arms around his neck “Congratulations! Oh I’m so proud”
“You don’t think it’s foolish?” he choked out
“Not at all. I’d be pretty hypocritical, you know I’ve always wanted to compete for the Tri Wizard Cup” Ominis slammed his spoon down with a smirk on his face
“So thats why you entered” he said with faux disappointment
“Surprise?” Sebastian grinned goofily. They all laughed enjoying each others company as a family.
~
At some point in the evening, Sebastian had fallen asleep curled up on the small two person sofa in the living room. How he fit was beyond anyone’s guess, limbs dangling off every available edge. Anne had retired to bed shortly after she had finished with food. One of the only remaining side effects of her curse was she was constantly tired. Ominis and Eve cleaned the table together and sat drinking tea. An Earl Grey, she kept ‘for special occasions’. Their chairs remained interlocked, despite having the table to themselves, they leant forward on their elbows together, knees touching under the table. The warm glow of candlelight from the trio of tall dinner candles bathed Ominis in a delicious amber. His head hooked downward slightly, as was his signature, and his hands wrapped around the dainty tea cup. He smiled as Eve lost all semblance of decorum at the comment he’d made, clutching a hand to her mouth.
“You can’t say things like that” she choked out a laugh. “I’ll wake sleeping beauty over there” she dabbed at the tears leaving her eyes. He sat in comfortable silence waiting for Evelyn to recover. “Oh goodness, you nearly killed me”
“I shall endeavour to finish the job next time” he smiled. Truly her laughter was the sweetest sound. “I have a question for you” he smirked
“Go on, anything for my court jester” leaning forward once more, linking her arm with his.
“What would I be looking at right now?”
Her face fell.
It had been a while since they’d played this little game. Ominis would ask this to fill silences or out of a genuine curiosity and it sometimes ended rather awkwardly. A couple of times, Sebastian would lie and say he was staring at some seventh year and that she was coming over to confront the poor boy. He’d watch in hysterics as Ominiss eyes darted around trying to figure out where to settle his eyes so as to not cause any drama, which he only indulged in if he wasn’t directly involved in. After a few mishaps with Sebastian, the game became almost exclusive to Eve and himself.
Though she wasn’t completely innocent.
She lied anytime his eyes settle over her form. With Ominis being so much taller than her and the way he lulled his head down, more often than not, his eyes would settle over her lips, her nose, her…eyes. The rare time or two Ominis had made accidental eye contact with her, she had turned to putty. His brows furrowed when she stumbled over her words and that is where the lies began. ‘Y-you’re er…looking off past my…er…shoulder’.
She was sure he knew she was lying. Anytime she would shift out from under his gaze to give an accurate description of what was behind her, she’d turn back to him and his eyes would be trained back on her. Now she knew about his ridiculous hearing, she was almost certain that he did it on purpose
Right now, was one of those times. She didn’t know if it was the candlelight or something else entirely but the way his eyes bore into her made her tell him the truth.
“My lips…” she muttered entranced by the milky opals that’s stared at her. Her voice sounded foreign to her, heavy and low. “…or perhaps my chin”
Coward
His hands slowly moved from his tea cup to her face. They were warm and the lingering smell of citrus from the tea coated his hands. His fingertips lightly dancing over her pillowy lips and they parted in response.
“You do this when you’re relaxed you know” his voice barely a whisper “Sebastian says when you’re studying, or you’re with us…content…your lips part and your eyes go wide like you’re trying not to look cold. Most of the time, he says, you have this harsh furrow to your brow and….” his fingers pushed ever so slightly on her bottom lip, forcing it up to the other. “You suck your lips into a thin line. You walk around with this face that causes students to run and hide” he laughed breathily “I find that hard to believe”
“I have been told I have a rather unapproachable face” she smiled wide against his fingers.
“This isn’t unapproachable” he swept his hands one final time over the plains of her face before cupping them under her chin.
He was…so…close. He knew Sebastian wouldn’t interrupt like last time and he could easily close that small gap between them. His chest heaved with the thought of her lips on his.
She couldn’t stop the yawn that suddenly enveloped her, his hands warm and enticing just…
He smiled before removing his hands.
“Come on, Time for bed”
She grumbled taking another sip of the Earl Grey whilst looking over the brim of her cup to the clock on the wall. She choked a little as she noticed the time, slumping against Ominiss shoulder.
“Merlin, I didn’t realise. We er…need to figure out sleeping arrangements”
“Do you have another bed? or chair…or spare bit of floor, honestly I’ll sleep just about anywhere” he chuckled, lids now heavy.
“You will not sleep on the floor you can have my bed, I’ll sleep with Anne” he coughed out a singular laugh
“No you won’t. Have you ever slept with Anne or Sebastian? You’ll end up black and blue. It’s fine you have your bed, I’ll sleep…here” he placed his hands firmly on the wooden dining chair.
“I have a comfy chair in my room…if…you don’t mind sharing”
“Of course not”
“Well… Come on then” she offered him her hand, guiding him up the unfamiliar stairs “Sleeping at the dinner table honestly, you’re like a cat” she giggled, dragging him through her bedroom door.
She pulled the chair closer to her bed and gathered some blankets for him “you can put your legs up on the bed, I don’t mind and you can use these” she placed the little parcel of plush bedding into his hands. They stood awkwardly in front of each other for a moment.
“Would you like me to leave whilst you get undressed?” He asked his cheeks turning a vague pinkish colour in the little light from the moonlight.
“N-no it’s okay. You can’t see me anyway” she tried to alleviate the tension in the room with humour. Why was this so awkward? They’d slept on each other multiple times in the common room. How was sharing a room, not touching worse? Is it because it’s her bedroom?
Grow Up Evelyn…
He circled around her to sit in the chair, legs spread and hands gripping the arms of the chair. She puttered around making her bed and removing the laundry when she looked up at him.
Why did he look like that? She’d never seen that look in his eyes before.
“Then why…” he leaned forward, elbows on his knees, hands clasped in front of him “haven’t you taken off your clothes” his eyes seemed to darken.
Oh…
He didn’t mean to sound like that. Merlin, he couldn’t recognise his own voice. It was only meant to be a coy little joke. They’d made vaguely amourous comments to each other before always, always in jest, much to Ominiss chagrin. But this was…different. He’d let himself get too worked up in the fantasy of claiming her lips and now he was acting like a beast.
He listened intently to the sounds of clothing hitting the floor, counting them out and trying to imagine what each piece could be. Shirt? Trousers? Underwear?….
Then silence.
The thought of her being naked in the same room as him set his mind racing.
What has gotten into you? This is her home and you’re acting like an animal!
This was indecent. She deserved better than this. He closed his eyes, leaning back against the chair, formulating an apology for his behaviour when…
“Could you help me?” She muttered, suddenly feeling her presence looming over him.
“Of course” his voice still hoarse, he tried to ignore the affects that she had on him and hoped that she couldn’t hear it, or at least thought it was due to a lack of sleep.
But her request wasn’t going to help matters.
“Thank you. I just need the buttons undoing on this dress, I can’t…quite…urgh”
“You are asking a blind man to help you with buttons?” He chuckled, his normal lithe tone returning slowly to his voice.
“Honestly if this wasn’t Poppys I’d say rip me out of the damn thing but…probably best I don’t return it to her in scraps”
What is going on tonight? Was she sent specifically to tempt him? He contemplated for a second tearing the clothing away from her skin and throwing the money at Poppy next time they met.
Until he remembered the reason he hadn’t properly attempted to court her.
His name.
Whilst he was still a Gaunt and whilst his family were still, unfortunately, involved in his life, she was in immediate danger. He’d chastised himself many times when rumours spread about the two of them being involved and he’d received an owl almost immediately from his mother asking who this girl was he had been seen with. Thankfully his silver tongue, that worked so masterfully on faculty, also seemed to work on his family and they quickly dropped any forced proposals and further questions once he revealed she was, in fact, muggle-born. Oh. So not worth their time. He obviously disagreed with their stance on her but if it saved her from any unwanted visits to Hogwarts from the Gaunt Family, it was worth it.
Besides,
He had plans in place that meant his self appointed ban would be lifted soon enough. And then he could treat her exactly how she deserved. How he had always wanted to, even if he had indulged a little more than he had thought. Thoughts of her skin beneath his fingers and chaste kisses littered his mind, the smell of her hair when she slept upon his chest…
His thoughts were interrupted when she took his hands and placed them on her waist.
“Can you get them?” She bought him back to the here and now.
“I’m on it” he rose from the chair to loom over her from behind. He was quiet for a second before she felt the slight release of tension from around her midsection. She sighed at the growing sense of comfort returning to her.
“Thank you so much” she hummed
“Is this why you don’t usually wear dresses?” He asked breathily, concentrating on the infuriatingly fiddly buttons lining her spine.
“Mmmm I hate the things. But muggle culture is a little more…strict than the wizarding world. There’s no way Imelda would handle the muggle world. With her backchatting and abrasive behaviour…” she sighed “I’m so glad I’m a witch”
“Me too” his breath tickled her neck as he undid the last button. He hooked his fingers underneath the fabric, feeling for any other connections between the panels. The backs of his fingers gliding effortlessly down the bare skin of her back.
“Are you not going to get comfortable?” She asked meekly pulling away from him to remove the dress “You can have your shirt back that you gave me. I use it to sleep in anyway and you’ve given me….mmmm…roughly 4 over the years. I won’t go without” he heard the innocent smile in her voice and felt her presence in front of him once again. “I don’t have any bottoms for you though I’m afraid” she pressed the shirt into his chest
“Thank you, I’m going to read for a little I…Merlin’s beard you’ve worn this to within an inch of its life” he felt the fabric handed to him. He knew it was once a formal shirt once given to her after a potions incident ruined all of hers, starchy and stiff, and now it’s soft panels were adorned with tiny holes from being washed too many times. She giggled.
“I like it. It’s comfortable” she yawned and he heard her climb into her bed, her voice suddenly muffled by her pillow “They used to smell like you but they don’t anymore…its sad…you smell…so nice…and it’s…mmmm”
Ominis heard her breathing slow rapidly and her idle chatter was replaced with soft barely audible snores. He smiled.
“Goodnight, love”

The silver lining to all the fandom bullshit, for me, is that I came out of 4x03 loving both TK and Carlos a whole helluva lot more than I ever have... and also seeing the ways, across 4x01 to 4x03, that they love so fiercely - both each other and others - with their whole fucking hearts... and knowing that loving that hard, that intensely, means that it’s never perfect because it’s so easy for emotions to make things messy and complicated when it consumes you like that... but I’ve always said that I could go through any angst with these two as long as the love is still there... and oh boy is it still there.
I just really fucking love them both, warts and all.
[More under the cut because I have too many thoughts:]
I've analyzed both of their behaviors and I fully get them and appreciate them. I think what it boils down to is that they just have different priorities in 4x03 that aren't fully working in tandem at the moment and it's causing some tension... but it's actually really good tension because what couple has the same exact priorities every damn moment of their lives?? What are they, clones??
And if I'm thinking of only TK's emotions then I'm upset by Carlos's distance for sure... but I also think TK is a lot more than just upset. He's also feeling guilty (and he was before Carlos even knew about the visit, so that guilt was all his, Carlos did not put that on him initially) and concerned for Carlos because he's seeing Carlos behave erratically and that's new for him. Like, TK sees this change in Carlos and he is scared of it because he knows how far Carlos is willing to go for the people he loves, he’s seen Carlos do that for him before. He knows. So, I am reading TK's reactions as a lot more nuanced than just sad/upset - the man is feeling a lot... GIVE HIM A HUG PLEASE AND THANK YOU.
And as far as Carlos... our tragic, compartmentalizing Carlos... when Iris goes missing he pushes so much down just to focus on her - on finding her, on protecting her, on supporting her. He and TK have one argument and he does his best to not lash out... he buries it and shifts his focus. Full-on focus on finding Iris, finding answers. He gets right to work, he’s in detective/cop mode, just like Ronen said. And we know he has his own guilt driving him towards that, especially since he thinks that maybe coming back into her life like this, with the divorce and with TK, has fucked up her stability. He remains super focused on the s*x doll call because when he comes into the call it is literally in response to the missing person alert - unlike the 126, this call is tied to Iris from minute one for him... and then when he has Iris back he's still just focused on her because she is not doing well. But he's not ignoring TK completely this entire episode as I've seen so many people claim... he literally calls TK to give an update about Iris... he's concerned about Iris and he chooses to talk to TK about it... about whether or not he can believe her like he wants to when all the evidence says he shouldn't. It's the trusting his gut thing all over again... but this time it's trusting his gut to trust Iris... but he still calls TK to talk through that. And it’s not so that he can further blame TK for it either - that blame and guilt is still very much coming from TK himself, and if Carlos is doing anything wrong here it’s that he’s not reassuring TK that he’s blameless... and, like, I get that? Because Carlos also isn’t feeling blameless so maybe he’s thinking it’s both of their faults, that they did this to her. (Not correct, not rational, but understandable, at least to me.)
And then the final call that he makes... I love that the scene starts with his attention on the house... he clearly wants to go right in and get to work... but he pauses and calls TK... and sure he lies to him but that's because he's doing something he knows he shouldn't and he doesn't want to be convinced not to... which is understandable, too, I think. He would’ve lied to anyone in that moment. But he also doesn't want TK to worry when he doesn't come home so he calls and at least gives him a little bit of relief... and yes it's a lie but like... we knew Carlos was gonna be irrational this episode... he doesn't ALWAYS do the right thing. So it's a lie but it at least it gives him time to do what he wants to do AND it - in his mind, though he is wrong - will help settle TK worries.
I don't know... I'm just not mad about all of this. I actually think 4x03 was an incredibly strong episode (the Carlos plot only though). I mean those scenes with Iris... y'all I'm still losing my mind over them. Their friendship is so beautiful and you can clearly see how they were each other’s whole world at one point in time. I love seeing a Carlos that breaks the rules and does the wrong thing because my god I don't know a single person who doesn't fuck up every once in awhile... but he does it out of LOVE, he does it out of his NEED to help, to protect, to be there for the people he loves. Like, how the fuck am I supposed to hate him for that? (Spoiler alert: I’m not gonna and you can’t make me.)
I think if you’re THAT mad at Carlos, it’s because you’re not even trying to understand him in all of this... you’re seeing the POV that the show is giving us (which for the Tarlos of all of this is clearly TK, that’s why we got the talk with Tommy) and you’re not even trying to analyze the rest of the story. And, like, I’m not here to tell you you have to, but I think you’d find this a lot more enjoyable if you at least tried to see where all the characters are coming from. And you might still be frustrated with Carlos - he’s frustrating, hallelujah! - but you’d also realize he’s not the fucking devil. He’s just an imperfect man with a too-big heart stuck between a rock (tunnel) and a hard place (a shovel). And I’m so excited to see the LOVE that he and TK have for each other SAVE him (and them). IT’S. STILL. ALL. ABOUT. THEIR. LOVE.
Anyway... bring on 4x04, I’m so fucking READY.

#DINAH Masterpost: Rafael & Ronen's M&Gs
This is all from memory, lots of quick notes taken after the meetings and other fans’ contributions so I apologize in advance if some things/dialogues are not 100% accurate. Photo credits to xkeelyx1
Ronen's Saturday M&G: • He just recently hung out with Liv Tyler. He misses her a lot on set and he hopes she will be back for the tarlos wedding considering both Carlos and Nancy are very close to her.
• His favourite Harry Styles songs right now are "Cinema" and "Boyfriends". • He thinks TK got into his addiction the same way he did. Just being around wrong people and bad influences in high school especially considering how New York is the biggest place for opioids. He said TK was probably a bad boy. TK and him are so similar it's weird. After reading his first script he thought playing the character would be kind of therapeutic for him. • The first two things that are on his bucket list are: teach the same theatre program in his high school that he started in and work with the students and be one of the coaches; and start an opioid program in Staten Island because that's the worst borough in New York for drugs. • He owes his life to one of his high school teachers who was like a mum for him in high school. • He would love to do theatre and Broadway at some point. He wants to do "Streetcar named Desire". That's one of his biggest dreams. • He thinks TK and Andrea’s relationship has got to bloom at some point. TK doesn't have a mother figure anymore. Tommy is his captain so Andrea would be perfect for that role. He would love to get more TK and Gabriel stuff too.   • Roxana is hilarious and amazing to work with. • Someone suggested TK could sing to Carlos at their wedding and he said that the perfect song would be "Heroes" by Enrique Iglesias. • He thinks a crossover in season 4 is pretty much given. They couldn't do one in season 3 because Covid killed their budget but he thinks their budget is gonna get back to normal soon. • The plan for season 3 was to have a two episodes crossover. • Team Buck or team Eddie? Probably team Buck since they had some scenes together in the crossover. • He would like to shoot a scene with Angela Bassett. • He really hopes we're gonna see Jonah. If he's not mistaken Tim has said we're probably gonna see Enzo at some point too. Enzo is a massive father figure for TK cause he was there when Owen wasn't. He wants Alexander Skarsgard to play the part. "TK is gonna have a crush on his step daddy, or well, step zaddy". Timothy Olyphant or Josh Duhamel would be cool too. • We're getting a big tarlos wedding. Tim wants to make sure they earn that. Rafael and him want to see them being engaged and not rushed into it. Things are probably not gonna go smooth all the time for them. • He really wants to get more Carlos backstory. "I need to see more, I don't know anything about Carlos as Ronen." A fan was like "where do you come from?" referring to Carlos and Ronen went "heaven". • He thinks TK would be a hot mess if Carlos were to get hurt. He wouldn't handle it stoically as Carlos and he would definitely try to kill the person who hurt him. That could also potentially put his sobriety at risk. He would love to do another fight scene. • He thinks a 911 Lone Star convention with the whole cast is feasible.
Rafael's Saturday M&G: • He thinks Carlos has sisters, he can't be an only child. He definitely grew up with a lot of women in the house. • He thinks they're still playing it very safe with tarlos and that they're still being generic with their storylines. • In the 3x08 promo we see Carlos on the phone while the plane was going down. Carlos was trying to reach TK and he left him a voicemail. He remembered what the message was but he wouldn't tell us. • The cut dinner scene from season 1 was Carlos making dinner and him and TK were talking about Iris. But production changed the storyline so that scene didn't really make any sense anymore so that's why it got cut. TK was also feeling guilty about something "as always". He finds it so ridiculous that they keep using the still from that cut scene to promote the show everywhere. • He wants to see Carlos get hurt too but he's starting to take it personally that so many people want him to be in pain. • He thinks there's a huge difference in Carlos getting hurt and in police officer Reyes getting hurt. Because if it's Carlos getting hurt then that's more exclusive to TK and his family and potentially the 126; while if it's police officer Reyes getting hurt then that involves the department and literally everybody else. • He wants TK to think he got stood up at the wedding so bad. It could go that Carlos is on his way to the wedding and maybe an accident happens and there's traffic and he could get hurt there.  • He really wants a Carlos begins episode. He wants to see what kind of mistakes he makes cause that man's not perfect. • He brought up fanfiction out of nowhere. He hasn't read any and he was shocked to hear there are graphic ones. "Are there some orgies happening? Is that why it's so hot in here?" He asked for titles but we all refused. • Shooting the tarlos proposal was the most fun he had shooting a scene. That was the last shoot of the second to last day. • He finds it funny that people focused on the "fucking lizard" line during the proposal. • He might write a script rather than a book. • He wants to get Ronen back for always posting videos of him sleeping. A fan called Ronen "a little shit" for doing that and he absolutely lost it. About him reacting with his famous "Ronen": "I love Ronen, I really do. I understand him and I see him so that's why I react that way".
Tarlos Saturday M&G: • Ronen: "you guys made us the highest selling couple of the convention. I mean it's not a competition but..." Rafael laughing: "It's not a competition but fuck them all" • They got asked if they have any lgbtq+ couples or tv shows/movies they look up to. For Rafael it's "Weekend" and "God’s Own Country"; for Ronen it's "Moonlight". • A fan asked them about tarlos wearing shoes in bed during 2x12. They tried shooting the scene with them taking off their shoes but it didn't flow and it was mostly a security/technical matter since they literally had to walk through real fire. That would have just been an impediment to get the scene out. • Carlos having longer hair in season 3 was all Rafael. • They got asked who breaks character more often between the two and it's Rafael. Cause he doesn't shoot often with Julian, Natacha and Brian and shooting with them is both the best and worst time ever. They're all funny and always make him histerically laugh. During the scene when he goes into the firehouse in 3x07, Julian, Natacha and Brian wouldn't stop making him laugh and they had to adlib during that scene so they would just keep saying the dumbest stuff. In that scene Ronen adlibs "I'm not even a firefighter anymore". Jim says some crazy stuff too and at times it's really hard to keep going during scenes. • They got asked if they could choose another actor to play Carlos/TK who would they choose and Ronen didn't miss a beat and said that nobody else could ever play Carlos Reyes. Ronen: "This is the guy and I can't even begin to imagine somebody else in the part."  Rafael: "I've never encountered myself wishing that another actor would play his role" Ronen: "Except when I annoy him and take videos in secret and he's just "Ronen". There are so many videos that you've never seen". Rafael: "I like this guy and I'm not just saying that cause he said it." • Regarding the audition tapes. Rafael said he never wants to see them but those would probably explain why they're here right now. Their connection was right from the beginning. They barely spoke and the chemistry was just there. Ronen said he doesn't want to be mean but once Rafael auditioned he went to the producers and said "Do we even have to see the other guy?" cause there was just another actor auditioning for the part. • Rafael talked again about how they're playing it safe with tarlos and Ronen went "in Station 19 you have Danielle flashing Stefania and I'm like "why aren't we doing that???" Rafael: "Are you gonna wear a sock?" Ronen: "No" Rafael: "No?! No sock?! Lord" Ronen: "I'll wear underwear, the camera just won't see it." Rafael: "Are we still talking about it?!" • The scenes in 3x15 with the lizard were added two days before shooting the episode. Rafael didn't know the lizard was real at first and just shaked the box it was in. It didn't move at all so he thought it was fake and he ended up traumatizing the poor animal. • Rafael said he can actually picture Ronen doing something like that too, just picking up a random lizard and bringing it home and Rafael would just have the same reaction as Carlos and go "Ronen NO" • A fan mentioned how they would love to see them both doing theatre and Ronen went "Tarlos: a Broadway show. Or Tarlos: the musical" Rafael: "It would be the gayest thing ever". • Lighting has been a problem for the past 3 seasons. The scenes are shot beautifully but the filter they use just make them all look grey and it gets frustrating for them too because irl they don't look anything like that. But it definitely improved from season 1. • They would love to have Liv back for the tarlos wedding. • They didn't notice that the time the proposal happened at (3:18am) was also the number of the episode. • During Carlos' hospital monologue Rafael improvised the "Believe people when they tell you who they are". They shot the dream sequence first so in order to add something for Carlos to appear really mad, he got mad too and added that line. The dream sequence was a crazy day of shooting cause they had to keep putting Rafael in and out of the scene while Ronen was walking around the living room. • They both want the wedding to happen at the right time and for it to not be rushed.
Tarlos Sunday Breakfast: • Ronen mentioned how he was waiting for Rafael to do the tarlos photos the day before and that he stood in line with fans. Ronen: "You were late and I was in line waiting for you." Rafael: "Ronen, do you know the joy I get in having YOU wait for me" Ronen: "I'm pretty punctual" Rafael: "Yeah, we're not talking about that" Ronen: "on SET. Not the make up trailer" • Ronen is an iced coffee guy and he didn't know what Rafael drinks, which is hot black coffee. When he suggested he likes tea Rafael was so affronted. He judged Ronen for liking iced coffee because it's such an American thing. • A fan brought them a gift and they joked that it's for both of them. Rafael: "You give Ronen something and then I meet all of you and you go "I gave Ronen something for you" and I go??? Where is it???" We learned Ronen doesn't share alcohol. • Someone was talking about the heat and went "where's a paramedic when you need one" and Rafael pointed at Ronen and went "She's right here" • Rafael loves the dinner scene in 1x03 cause that's the scene that made him fall in love with tarlos. • Ronen's favourite scene always changes. The engagement is number 1 and then he loves the scenes where they talk about TK's sponsor in 3x13. • Rafael really got mad at the "You know he's straight, right?" line in that scene cause that’s such a stereotypical line among queer couples. For Ronen that just made it more real.
Rafael's Sunday M&G: • Not many questions were asked during this M&G cause it was mostly a conversation about the convention, Paris, the videos he recorded for fans and the show in general and what it means to people and how it helped lots of fans during the pandemic. • He talked a bit about his trip to Ireland and how he risked his life there by driving too close to the edge of a cliff. • "Eveyone's a child. Everyone goes to bed having ice cream and watching Pocahontas" • He has watched Heartstopper.

The Eve of Samhain (Ominis Gaunt x F!Reader)
Tumblr media
Summary: As Head Boy, Ominis is besotted with plenty of duties. On the Eve of Samhain, he is charged with making sure the decorations are up to par. While he takes no joy in that- there is something about his day that he looks forward to: seeing her- along with a gift he made especially.
Word Count: 500+
No warnings apply, just straight fluff!
Full story that this drabble is a part of can be found on AO3 here!
If one were to strike a conversation with Ominis during a holiday, one would find themselves talking to a wall. As much as the Head Boy enjoyed Samhain, he detested decorating for it. Natty and he were to split the school, decorating as they passed. It would take them half of an evening just making sure everything was spot on, a task that was inevitably harder for him to achieve alone as he would wait for the Head Girl to commentate on what was missing. It helped that Professor Garlick and Ronen were eager to join the festivities, adding their special touches to the magical decorations that were now scattered throughout Hogwarts. The only thing he saw to personally was changing the banners throughout the school to celebrate Slytherin’s win against Hufflepuff to which students of the latter house made their contempt known when he waved his wand to change the colors to that of his house; and though he did not tell Sebastian, he felt immensely proud at the story of how he got the snitch.
Wreaths of leaves of varying hues of orange, sienna, and crimson (he enlisted Natty’s help to pick the colors) were hung around the staircases of Hogwarts with some decorating even the statues of figures past that loved the holiday. Pumpkins floated overhead the Great Hall and around the school, their insides illuminated by enchanted candles that would never go out or spread their flame. Even more pumpkins were spread throughout the school: the transfiguration courtyard, the northern exit, the courtyards leading to the Black Lake, and last but not least, the Defense Against the Dark Arts tower. He was asked specifically to avoid Professor Hecat’s classroom as she tired of cleaning up after students whose spells missed and had the pumpkins explode. On the other hand, their latest magical theory professor was delighted when Ominis came around the classroom with the pumpkins (he took great care to close the door behind him as to not be interrupted or seen). The smile in her voice was apparent when she set the one he carved onto her desk.
“This one was enchanted with a special touch,” he said with a bit of pride. “Tap your wand against it.” He heard a light tapping noise and a surprised gasp come from her as the sound of air leaking from the pumpkin became apparent. He knew a small ghost-like figure of a niffler would pop out, sniffing the air and running around the perimeter of the pumpkin before disappearing within its shell.
“Shall we name it?” she asked him.
“What did you have in mind?”
“Ominis-
"Are you quite certain?"
"-Ominis Haunt.”
The Head Boy did his best to reign in his amusement. An attempt that was poorly diminished when a small chuckle erupted from her before transforming into shoulder-shaking laughter and they both found themselves laughing as Ominis Haunt squealed at them from the confines of its pumpkin house, curious at the loud noise they were making.
“So, you can laugh after all. Is it possible that hell hath frozen over?”
“If the joke is agreeable enough, I suppose the world may suffer my joy.”
“On the contrary, the world is lesser for not knowing it more.”
“You flatter me much, professor.”
When he excused himself from the classroom, he found that he did not mind decorating as he had thought previously.
(A/n: If you enjoyed reading this drabble, consider reading the entire story it's a part of! Of which can be found here!)

Hello Desi, I’m hitting your inbox with three questions for Nice Ask Week!🌞
1. Which new term(s) of endearment do you hope we get in season s5 and in which situation(s) should they occur?
2. For the steamy scene that we know we’re getting, which kind of steamy scene would it be if you could choose and what does it relate to in the episode? Like are we talking angsty ‘I almost lost you or you’re feeling sad’ steamy, boring (in a good 🥰 way) married s*x, the end of a dry spell for some reason, them trying something new, maybe related to a silly call or something, them being riled up, etc etc you choose!
3. Idk if you received the perfume yet, But! Do you think that this is the same scent that TK has worn from the start of their relationship or did he change it? Either or, when and how did Carlos notice it and what was his reaction to it? (Internally or externally)
I hope you’re enjoying your weekend very much!! - Mar ☺️🪷🐟
Hello, Mar 💖!! First of all, thank you for the ask and pleaseeeee forgive me for only getting to this now 😅 I can be the worst when it comes to asks because I need to make sure I am in the right head space to give them my full attention and answer them well! I do love receiving things like this though! I just put too much pressure on myself to give thoughtful answers!
Now then, let's talk about Tarlos terms of endearment!! I am sooo freaking excited and looking forward to hearing more sweet words between those husbands! The one I am most hopeful to hear is "sweetheart"!! I definitely imagine Carlos calling TK that more but would lose my mind if it came out of either of their mouths! I REALLY want to hear it in bed, either with them just waking up or in the middle of sexy times 🫠 But I think it's definitely reserved for when it's just the two of them alone at home! And we still better hear plenty of "baby"s, from TK and maybe Carlos too if we're really lucky!
Mwhahaha, for the steamy scene, I am 100% taking it literally and hoping we get a tarlos shower scene!! Since Ronen said TK gets hurt in 5x04 and then the steamy scene is in 5x05, I really want it to be "I'm so glad you're okay and that could have been so much worse than it was, grateful you're alive" sex! We get a callback to Carlos having to help TK bathe/shower, and at first it starts out slow, with Carlos deliberately and carefully stripping TK out of his clothes. Then he sees his husband's naked body and slight injury, whatever it may be, and he looks so sad, and TK notices this and grabs his face and reassures him that he is fine and here and alive, and they kiss and it goes from 0 to 100% passionate real quick! With TK showing Carlos he is more than okay and Carlos reminding TK that he is his and they are each other's and they are not allowed to go where the other can't follow! Carlos presses TK against the sink counter and both of them try to get Carlos out of his clothes too without having to leave each other's mouth for too long. Then the make their way over and stumble into the shower together, close the door and show the other just how much they love them 🥰. This kind of got away from me but I love where my mind went and we shall see what Lone Star actually has in mind for this steamy scene SOON!!
I DID receive my perfume and I was very happy with the purchase!! The scent is a little much for my partner, who has allergies and doesn't do well with most scents anyways, but I've been wearing a little on my wrist and neck whenever we go out of the house and I love the smell of it 🥰 I especially notice the jasmine and vanilla, with hints of the orange!
Now for TK, I think he found and started wearing this particular perfume a bit after he and Carlos officially started dating! We see in 1x10 that Carlos has loved putting his face in TK's neck very early on, and I bet he's always loved the way TK smells! He smells like a man with his natural musk mixed with whatever cologne/perfume he is wearing. But I can see TK wanting to make a change after accepting Austin and this new start with Carlos, and him finding a new, fresh cologne to signify that! I think he would have asked Carlos' opinion of the scent before actually using it and Carlos thought it was nice, but then TK actually put it on and the perfume mixed with his sweat and natural musk throughout the day absolutely drove Carlos wild! I bet Carlos could not keep his hands off of TK and constantly had his face in his boyfriend's neck the first day he wore that perfume, and TK finally caught on after a while and was all smug and like "Oh, do you like the way I smell, babe 😏?" And Carlos is like, "you have no idea." And then took him into the bedroom soon after and had his way with him. And I think an even bigger turn on for Carlos was when his own scent started to cling on and blend with TK's 🫠 It was physical proof and that primal feeling of, "This MAN is mine and I have claimed him with my scent and we smell like each other." Ahhh, you're making me lose my mind thinking about all of this 😂
THANK YOU for this nice ask, Mar and at least it's the weekend when I'm now answering this 🤣 I hope you have a fantastic weekend too❤️

Tumblr media
Here's the thing, yes, feeding people is one of Carlos's love languages because he spends most of his time feeding the people that matters. We see it from the fish all the way through to the snacks at the engagement announcment, it matters to Carlos to create food for the people he loves.
However, just because TK struggles with the actual process of MAKING food (Ronen said so) doesn't mean it's not also one of his love languages.
I'm gonna start with season three and work backward, but when in the Coma Carol, TK envisions making cookies with his mom as his happy place. Not only that, but they also talk about him burning his mouth on hamatachen as a kid and in 3x08 we establish that Spring Street dim sum is THEIR place and it keeps coming around through the season, as part of their love. He's thrilled about being thanked in snickerdoodles, enough to argue to Nancy that the snickerdoodles as thanks make up for the not ideal working situation. We also see it crop up as he asks his dad to join them for dinner as above. Also in 3x12, when Owen is potentially springing himself, Catherine and Shady Sadie on them, TK feels there's not enough food in the house and immediately heads out to get pho. We won't talk about how that ends, but him physically going and getting food is a sign of caring and affection. Additionally, in 3x11, we see TK making a salad for Carlos who is having a full on spiral (that Carlos is pretending isn't happening). I think this is maybe the only time we ever see TK preparing food for anyone. When Carlos is in distress over the terrible SWATing call, TK goes as far as physically cutting vegitables (please check the TK Can Make: tag on my blog for the many lists of things the fandom feels he can make) for Carlos, which is such an act of love.
TK asks his dad out for food four times in the series, twice in 2x10 when he's struggling. Sometimes it's to go get food, and other's it's because Carlos is cooking, yeah, but Carlos is an amazing cook and TK is. We also see in 3x17 that TK alerts Carlos to choice meals at the firehouse, so that Carlos can decide if he needs to call in a Code 7 at the firehouse. I have a feeling Carlos has also called a Code 7 to meet the paramedic crew for lunch if TK texts about it.
He's also very receptive every time Carlos cooks for him. The look on TK's face when he walks into the condo in 2x12 and realizes Carlos roasted a chicken for him. The look on his face kicks me in the chest every time. He's so awed and in love.
And I answered it in a meta on 1x02 earlier today, but I think one of the reasons TK takes the fish and the bread and everything so seriously is because he recognizes food as a love language. TK values the time and energy it takes to feed someone and he reacts so strongly to the food because he KNOWS it's more than just a meal based on what he sees in front of him. Someone who didn't speak this love language might not have had the same thought. It's also why TK doesn't believe Carlos when Carlos tries to downplay the significance of what he's done.
It's a point he makes to the 126 games crew in 2x01, that Carlos, his boyfriend, takes the time and energy to offer them his home and FEED them. I think it's significant that he includes that because he sees that part. He goes shopping with Carlos at the farmer's market for food that maybe he won't prepare, but the act of sharing this part of the process is infused with love. And even when TK's depressed and doesn't want to eat, he still values Carlos going out of his way to feed him anyways.
And just...yeah, TK also loves through food. So him continually inviting Owen out for food, and getting upset that one time he tries to get his dad to eat at the firehouse and Owen lies and says he went and grabbed a burger from a place TK has asked him to go before and he didn't (Owen was actually sick off the chemo), well that's him trying his best to love his dad.

Ahh I'm enjoying all the promo for s4!! I do hope we get a lil individual actor vids like we did last year. My fave one was Rafa saying Tarlos was like Romeo & Romeo and their house burning down was romantic 😭😭😂 safe to say him and Ronen really have different perspectives on scenes sometimes
Rafael is a man after my own angst loving heart I swear 😂😂 he has such an unhinged, fanfic-author-like idea of what romance is. Ronen wants them to be happy and soft and Rafa’s just like WHAT IF CARLOS DIED. I love him.

As seen on my FF.net Also seen on my Ao3
Following the events of fifth year, a new adventure awaits for Norah Lee. Boys, exams, school events, common room parties, and old foes outside of Hogwarts. Even battling pensieve guardians was easier than this.
Main Pair: OC/? Genre: Adventure/Angst/Fluff (it's a little of everything, tbh)
KEEP IN MIND: Characters are aged up (even if the story's got them in sixth year) to make it more appropriate. Time period is leaning towards the modern day so in case you might find anachronisms in the dialogue or references, this is why. This may also be quite a lengthy fic too.
BE WARNED: Social anxiety, mentions of blood and injury, grief, drinking, kissing but nothing more than that, death (this is Hogwarts Legacy, after all)
P.P.S: I forgot Norah and Ominis kind of matched outfits. That will be something to talk about over time, hehe. But partying ahead! There are several Gryffindor party audios on Youtube that you can listen to (Youtube user Christine has the most immersive ones, with actual speaking audio).
The song by the way is Hard to Beat by Hard-Fi. I know, very 2000s. haha.
Masterlist
Chapter 11
Their linked arms didn't stay linked for long as they made their way to Gryffindor tower, just past the faculty tower. It seemed like most of the sixth years had partnered up for the party following Professor Ronen's assignment. Making new friends, possibly a date to the Yule Ball that was still a few months away. Norah and Ominis looked around for a sign of Sebastian, who was already waiting for them near the Fat Lady portrait.
Clad in jeans and a black tee under a green bomber jacket, Sebastian also fixed his hair similar to Ominis, with one lock falling just a little over his forehead. The three of them seemed to have coordinating outfits. Then again, it seemed like many students dressed in shades of their house colors. Unlike Ominis, Sebastian seemed to be aware that he was seen as one of, if not the most handsome Slytherins in the school.
"Looking good, looking good," Sebastian gave them a thumbs up as they approached him. "Natty told me the password in advance. I saw Amit and Samantha already enter with them."
"You look handsome yourself," Norah smiled. "I would've thought Cressida was going to meet you here."
The freckled brunette rolled his eyes at her teasing, while Ominis chuckled. "Very funny, you-" He stopped himself. You beautiful creature, you amazing human, maybe love of my life, he thought. Sebastian cleared his throat. "Well then, shall we revel in the festivities?" He grinned.
The trio approached the painting, with Sebastian already saying the password. Loud music greeted them as they crawled inside the portrait hole. Everyone around them was already enjoying themselves, as if a live band was performing all throughout the common room. There were barrels of butterbeer flowing in cups being passed around to everyone while sweets and pastries from Honeydukes were on the table, along with other savory fare taken from the kitchens.
Norah looked around, spotting Nellie crawling on top of the fireplace mantel, much to the cheers of some of the partygoers. To her surprise, several other Gryffindors were holding drinking games in one corner, as someone smuggled in some firewhisky. "It sounds like everyone's having so much fun!" Ominis tried to tell her.
"Yeah! We should have fun too!" She looked at her two friends, who were beginning to nod along to the music that was playing.
I've seen you darling, seen you hanging round town You in a short skirt, shining eyes of deep brown You had a dirty look, you caught me on your hook Turn up the thermostat, I want to see you sweat Oh yeah, girl you got, somethin' I like
Norah spotted Garreth, who was already introducing his new brew, fizzing whizz-beers, which seemed to be a success. At least it seemed like a success from seeing how many people have been drinking it. "Let's go get some of Garreth's new brew!" She told them.
"Is that even safe?" Sebastian grinned, waving at Garreth, who was also waving them to come over. "He hasn't created a mess yet, hasn't he?"
"Are we drinking?" Ominis suddenly asked.
"Yeah, come on, Ominis, it's only for tonight," Norah tried to convince him. "Everyone seems to like it"
With some reluctance, Ominis let himself be led by Norah and Sebastian over to Garreth, who immediately conjured some cups to fill with his new drink. "Just got here?" He asked.
"Yeah, a few minutes ago, actually!" Norah said near his ear, while he passed the drinks to them. "You seem to have succeeded in your new brew, huh?"
Garreth looked proud. "Yeah! Drink as much as you like, there's going to be plenty more in the months to come~" He declared.
The three of them took sips of the drink, with Norah raising a brow at the taste. She turned to Garreth. "This just tastes like butterbeer mixed with firewhisky and some really strong ale," She said.
The freckly redhead laughed. "Because it is!"
Norah, Sebastian, and Ominis gaped, looking around at how tipsy some had already gotten, perhaps after downing several already since the party started. Realizing how good the drink tasted, they took another long drink. Garreth was more than happy to refill their cups, cheering in between, when a Gryffindor seventh year stood up on one of the tables and loudly sang the song.
I walked right over, said, 'Hi how ya doin?' You smiled at me and girl, you tore right through me I said, come on let's dnce, we've got to take our chance You whispered in my ear, you wanna get out of here
The crowds of students were singing along to the song, which Norah enjoyed watching as the party went on. "We should find Natty, Poppy, and Amit, shouldn't we?" She turned to them again, after another drink.
Can you feel it? Rockin' the city Ah yeah, straight out of nowhere-ness Like a fist, can't resist you, oh no, I tell you somethin'
"This drink isn't so bad after all, I have to give you credit, Weasley," Ominis took another drink before Garreth refilled his cup. "All the explosions and messes in Sharp's class ended up for something good."
Garreth looked proud, but there was a glint in his eye that made Norah think he was being mischievous. After all, they were still inside Hogwarts. "I hope you've got some pepper-up potion on hand, Garreth, some of these people might wake up with a hangover tomorrow"
"I've got that sorted out, it's brewing upstairs. Just have fun, you three, enjoy the first of four house parties this year, Merlin knows we need it," Garreth assured her, seeing Ominis ask for yet another refill, claiming that despite what it was made of, he didn't feel a thing. Sebastian was also leaning toward the same way.
You know I love ya, just wanna touch ya Stand up, knock me right off my feet Hard to beat, hard to beat, hard to beat
The music seemed to hit a crescendo, making everyone cheer and sing along, dancing in their spots. Soon enough, the resident Gryffindor prefects along with some seventh years, moved the chairs and couches to the side. They were clearing the way for people to dance in the middle. Norah downed her drink before asking Garreth for another.
While she was in a good mood earlier, it had only occurred to Norah that maybe she needed a bit of a break. Everyone else was certainly letting off some steam by drinking, eating, and dancing tonight. Even Grace Pinch Smedley, who seemed to be the most composed among their fellow Slytherins, was already dancing with some Ravenclaws and Gryffindors. Looking almost unrecognizable with the way she styled her hair and her party outfit, Grace was definitely letting go of her inhibitions to have fun.
Nellie, who was earlier drinking while standing on the mantel, had begun dancing on top, to louder cheers from the crowd gathered around her. Among those was Leander, whose cheeks were already red because of Garreth's drink. Feeling like it was safe, Norah got another refill.
Let's spend the night, spend the night together Heart beating so fast, as you take my shirt off This girl I saw round town, well now she's going down Stuck on a losing streak, I think you've turned it round Oh yeah, girl you've got, something I like
"Care to dance, anyone?" Norah asked, even glancing at Garreth. "I love this song"
Ominis hesitated, willing himself to slow down on the drinks. "Not really sure dancing is my style," Sebastian replied with some reluctance.
"Dance? I think I've got two left feet," Ominis replied.
Read all about it, have you heard the latest? Boy in a band dates a Hollywood actress But baby you and me, we came up from the street No time to hesitate, we've got to push our weight
"Suit yourselves, I will," Norah grinned, gesturing Garreth to come with her. The redhead almost immediately left his spot by the barrel to join her. Even if Garreth's dancing could be described as similar to that of an old person, he was fun, even mouthing the words along with Norah, the two of them laughing at how silly they're being.
Can you feel it? Rocking the city Ah yeah, straight out of nowhere-ness Like a fist, can't resist you, oh no, I tell you somethin'
The music, the drinks, the atmosphere, Norah felt like she could get lost in all of it. It was so supremely happy and energetic. Or it might have been the drinks that was making her feel and think that way. She was having so much fun dancing with Garreth, the two of them singing along as if to each other.
"I knew that would put a smile on your face," Garreth whispered near her ear, the two of them went back into dancing as silly as they could get. "Take it easy on the drinks, wouldn't want the Hogwarts heroine to get piss drunk, after all"
Norah laughed. "Don't worry, Garreth, enjoying myself tonight is all I'm thinking about."
"Good, you've earned it" Garreth assured her. "I'm glad you're having fun so far. It's your first Hogwarts house party."
"Yeah, it's so much fun! I mean, I expected this from Gryffindors," Norah teased. "I told Leander the same thing the other day."
Garreth looked proud. "It'll only be even more fun from now on. Hufflepuff's hosting the next one. Here's a tip, make sure to come in hungry. They've got the best food."
"I figured," Norah nodded.
You know I love ya, I just wanna touch ya Stand up, knock me right off my feet Hard to beat, hard to beat, hard to beat
"Hey!" Natty and Henry soon appeared to Sebastian and Ominis. Both of them were also holding their drinks. "It's so much fun, isn't it?"
"Yeah," Sebastian nodded. "You can't tell but I'm absolutely enjoying myself. After those NEWT lessons and homework, I think we deserve this."
"Hear hear," Henry raised his cup, making Sebastian clink with his in a toast. "I heard about the bet as to who Norah's summoner is, by the way. Did she say anything?"
That seemed to make Ominis stand up straight, letting out a hiccup. "Did you join in the bet?" He asked.
Henry chuckled. "No, not really. But some of my friends certainly did. Their cornish pasties are on you, Gaunt," He glanced at the blonde, who looked surprised. Sebastian seemed to be just as surprised at the mention of the bet. "Those who bet on Sebastian over here have had to fetch some from Hogsmeade now that they know they've lost."
"Norah hasn't said anything about who summoned her name yet, but I think she already knows who it is," Natty said, clinking her cup with Henry's as they took a drink. "Based on the letters she got from him, the one who summoned her must be absolutely mad for her."
"Got it down bad, has he?" Sebastian muttered, looking down at his drink, trying his hardest not to feel or look annoyed by what Natty and Henry were saying. "Well, maybe Garreth's the one who summoned her, since she's dancing with him right now."
"Weasley, eh?" Ominis muttered, following another hiccup.
Goodness No, I've never known a night like this, can't believe it You're so hard to beat, hard to beat
The song that was playing slowed down for a moment, and Norah and Garreth stopped. "So Garreth, who summoned you? Or...who did you summon?" She asked curiously. Even if she knew Ominis was the one who summoned her name, she wondered about the redhead standing in front of her.
"Well-" Garreth sputtered, a little flustered at the question. "If it's alright, I'd rather not say."
"Alright, I won't press for more details, but it does seem like you planned to summon someone but couldn't, hmm?" Norah raised a brow. Before Garreth had the chance to speak, the music went up again, the dancing even more upbeat. "Then don't think about that for now, let's just dance!"
"I couldn't agree more!"
Drive me crazy, my beautiful baby Let's spend the whole day right here together
He wasn't sure if it was the drink he made everyone, including himself, take as they enjoyed the festivities, but Garreth was feeling bold. His mother would always call alcoholic drinks like that liquid courage, a legal version of Felix Felicis. Garreth took another step closer, the two of them dancing in sync while mouthing the words to the song.
"Norah," He said near her ear. "How'd you like to come to Hogsmeade with me sometime? We can go to Madam Puddikin's if you want."
She leaned back a little. "Are you asking me out, Weasley?" She teased.
"Maybe, I just want to make sure," He replied, a small smirk forming on his lips. "But we can also go as friends, though. Maybe check out the brew I've been making in Honeydukes."
"Oh?...You like me, Garreth?" Norah stared at him. "Why?"
"Because you're cool, and I don't mean this because you're the Hogwarts heroine and all," Garreth quickly explained, his cheeks hot. "I mean-I-I just, I just think you're great."
Norah glanced at her friends, who were standing at the side, watching them with pleased expressions, including Ominis. Henry also looked at the two of them with an approving look. "You think I'm great?"
"Yeah, who wouldn't be?" Garreth said, the confidence in his voice getting replaced with a slight nervousness. "So, Hogsmeade sometime?"
She chuckled, finding the sudden shyness endearing. Her heart was suddenly pounding, not expecting that Garreth would think of asking her out. She suddenly wasn't sure how she felt about Garreth. He had a talent for inadvertently getting into trouble, but always had good intentions. There were times in Potions that she wondered how his mind worked, with all his ideas for concoctions that for half the time, ended up making a mess.
Still, Garreth was one of the most-liked students in their year, perhaps the one that balanced out Leander's uptight nature and Nellie's rather thrill-seeking personality. Their dynamic just reminded Norah of hers with Sebastian and Ominis, and she found it amusing.
"Not sure you can handle me, though," Norah teased. "Perhaps we can hang out at Hogsmeade. Butterbeers at Three Broomsticks, maybe a visit to Zonko's?"
There was something in what Norah said that made the redhead curious. "I know about those rumors of what you've done in fifth-year. Honestly, I regret not asking to tag along if it was that eventful."
She laughed. "Spiders, acromantulas, poachers, loyalists, trolls, dugbogs, and everything that's out to kill people in between. You've got to channel Gryffindor's courage in all of those."
"I would've if you brought me along," Garreth pointed out with a grin. "That would've provided the perfect opportunity for me to test out my brews."
You know I love ya, I just wanna touch ya Stand up, knock me right off my feet Hard to beat, hard to beat, hard to beat Oh yeah, girl you've got, something I like Oh yeah, girl you've got, something I like
"Is Norah still dancing with Garreth?" Ominis suddenly asked.
"Yeah, she seems to be having a good time," Sebastian replied, helping himself to another refill. He was starting to feel the drink's effects, but if he wanted to let loose for a little bit, another round wouldn't hurt, right? At least that's what he thought, while partly drying to drown out the growing feeling of jealousy from seeing Norah continue to enjoy Garreth's company.
Looking around, it seemed like Andrew and Poppy were still deep in conversation, their faces getting closer the more they talked. Sebastian immediately averted his gaze, knowing that Andrew and Poppy were bound to be an item soon.
"Did you summon anyone?" Ominis nudged him, transfiguring the drink into water for him to drink. "Or did your name get summoned?"
The question made Sebastian frown. "Yeah, Cressida Blume summoned my name, and she said it was accidental."
"You're lucky then. I heard Blume is good with non-verbal spells."
"Yeah, we nearly got caught up in Horklump Hollow earlier," Sebastian muttered, making the blonde whip his head toward his friend. "Norah was following a lead on Harlow in Upper Hogsfield."
"You were in Upper Hogsfield too?" Ominis sounded annoyed.
Sebastian hummed. "Yeah, I was to meet Cressida there since there was a shop she was going to. Poppy was there too, and we caught Norah trying to approach the poacher-filled cave. We followed her and went inside to spy on them."
"Oh," Ominis muttered.
Given his friend's tipsy state, Sebastian had an idea. "You wouldn't tell them who you summoned, or who summoned you. Who is it?"
Ominis slowly tilted his head toward the two people dancing nearby. "I can't tell you just yet, but I will say it was quite difficult to write a good poem, or think of a good riddle-" He stopped, realizing what he said.
But Sebastian immediately figured it out. "You're the one who summoned Norah? But when could you have done that?"
"When you were still asleep, or still in the Great Hall, I took the chance after hours," Ominis replied. "When no one was around in the grounds."
Sebastian glanced at her, laughing as she kept dancing with Garreth. "Accidentally too?"
Ominis shook his head. "No, I summoned her name, even before Prewett or Weasley could."
He wanted to laugh but somehow he couldn't. If Sebastian wasn't already jealous of Garreth for dancing so easily with Norah, he couldn't help but also feel jealous of Ominis for doing what he did. It seemed silly to even be jealous of Ominis. He was his most trusted friend. Yet, he wondered: Did Ominis like Norah too?
