Batfam's most suggested lunch spots
Dick: Bruce's office mini fridge after an important business outing
Jason: a Crime Alley dumpster where he once found a whole bag of gummy worms when he was ten
Tim: Jason's place after texting him from a burner number pretending to be Roy and Lian
Damian: Ivy's house—she makes vegan food with her worst-behaved plants
Duke: the only working vending machine at Gotham High, inside the teacher's lounge
Cullen: the Batburgers in the gay neighborhood with a secret Batwoman menu
Stephanie: the Waffle House where she was forced to out herself as Spoiler because robbers held it up in the middle of her meal, but to her surprise everyone in the restaurant agreed to keep her secret
Cassandra: the 24-hour convenience stores in Hong Kong where she can get an entire meal for the price of a bag of chips in America
Barbara: the GCPD break room—turns out tax dollars are paying for catering
Harper: everyone talks about Ma Kent's baking but not enough folks appreciate Pa's grilling
Carrie: a boardwalk vendor who combined pretzels and nachos
Kate: the Justice League cafeteria when it's Flash Fries Friday
Alfred: you would think he'd say his own cooking but it's actually the chicken shop near his old school
Selina: Arkham—she never wants to go back but she can't help but be nostalgic for her favorite mush
Bruce: he would say Alfred's cooking if Alfred hadn't flown back to England for chicken, so the next best is the steakhouse inside Wayne Enterprises

Tumblr media
day twenty-two: sirius black your coffee shop gets a new barista. he’s very enthusiastic | grumpy!reader and sunshine!sirius, fluff | 1k
Tumblr media
The thing you like most about your coffee shop is that no one talks to you. It’s a fairly quiet place — one of those small, hole-in-the-walls that doesn’t have wifi or much but a simple menu and some large arm chairs. The only people who stick around are old people reading books and interesting characters scrawling away in journals. It’s no nonsense. You go pretty much every day.
The bell-less door opens and you are greeted with…laughter?
That can’t be right.
You make your way to the register and spot the culprit immedietly: a new barista. He’s — well. He’s exactly your type. Tall, arms inked from knuckles to shoulder in interesting designs, ears and nose pierced with golden hoops. His riotous black curls are half-up half-down and you’re pretty sure he’s wearing eyeliner.
Well, this just got interesting.
“Hello,” he says. “What can I get you?”
No one has asked you what you want in almost a year. It’s not that they don’t like you. You just get the same thing every time, so predictable that the other baristas have it ready for you by the time you pay them. But that’s not this guy’s fault. He’s new.
“Black coffee, please,” you say patiently. He pulls a cardboard cup off of the stack next to him. His name tag reads Sirius in block letters.
He almost taps the price into the register but he pauses and looks at you. He tilts his head like he’s trying to see through you. You keep your stare level and face neutral. “Are you sure?” he asks.
Okay, that cracks you a little bit. You raise your eyebrows. “What?”
“We’ve got some great fall drinks,” he says. “The apple cider is honestly sinful. Or, if you really need caffeine, we’ve got this thing called a death cream that keeps me awake for —”
“Black coffee is fine.” It comes out a little harsher than you meant, but he’s not put off.
He just shrugs. “Whatever you want.”
You pay and leave once he’s filled the cup. “Thanks.” You let him put the coffee on the counter before you grab it so you don’t have to touch. Again, he’s not bothered.
“See you soon!”
An eager new barista is not enough to keep you from your coffee, so you do indeed see him soon.
The next day.
He greets you like an old friend. “Hey, it’s black coffee!” he says, though you’ve met…once.
“Oh, great,” you mutter. No one in the shop pays you any mind.
It’s a shame that this guy — Sirius, you remind yourself — is so energetic because he’s very much your type otherwise. You find that men like him get tired with your attitude sooner rather than later.
“What’ll it be today?” he asks. He’s got a bandana around his head and a tight-fitting waffled shirt. You swallow and will yourself to retain your composure.
“Guess,” you say.
A line has formed behind you. If he wants to take his time, that’s his business, but you’re not sure how you feel that he’s making everyone wait just to talk to you.
“A maple latte,” he says, snapping his fingers.
You just look at him. His smile doesn’t slip as he pulls a cup from the tower.
“Black coffee?” he asks.
“Please.” He sighs dramatically.
You let yourself take it directly from his hand this time.
This becomes routine. Sirius is there every time you go in and you do this dance every time. He guesses another drink, tries to convince you to to get it, fails, and then gives you your black coffee.
It’s actually kind of fun. Well, you’re having fun with it, and hey, he’s cute and it’s almost like flirting. If you have a bit of a crush on him, that’s your business. It’s not like he knows anything about you other than what you look like and what your drink order is. He doesn’t even know your name!
But after weeks and weeks, after he’s suggested pretty much everything on the menu, he doesn’t even try.
“Hey,” he calls, when you walk in. He’s got your coffee ready by the time you step up to the register.
You blink at him as he reads off the price.
“No suggestion today?” you asks. It hurts a bit. He got tired of you sooner than you thought he would.
“Oh,” he says. His dark eyes meet yours. “I…thought it was annoying you. Since you never took me up on it.”
You chew on your cheek. “It wasn’t annoying me, Sirius,” you say. “I just won’t take you up on it because I like black coffee. That’s just how I am.”
Sirius blinks. “You know my name?”
You point to his name tag. He laughs breathlessly, mirth creeping back into his voice.
“Obviously,” he mutters. “Look,” he says, leaning in. “I like how you are. I’ve only been trying to get you to order something that takes more time so I can ask for your name and write it on the cup. No one here knows it because you always get black coffee and leave.”
It’s your turn to blink. You probably look like a fish, eyes wide and mouth opening and closing.
“Oh,” you say. He wants your name? “Why didn’t you just ask?”
He laughs properly, loudly and fully like the first day you saw him. “I guess that would have been much easier.”
Well, you can fix this. “Can I have your marker?”
He hands it over with a curious smile. You pick up your coffee and carefully write your name on the side in capital letters, then show him.
Sirius repeats it out loud, then motions for the marker back. You pass it over and he takes your coffee from you to write something else.
When he turns it toward you, you see he’s written a phone number.
“Mine,” he says. “Maybe you’ll call me?”
You take the cup from him, making sure to brush your fingers with his.
“Maybe I will.” You give him a rare smile and he beams back. “See you later, Sirius.”
He winks.
You’re definetly going to call him.

Hi Sam! Has anyone made you aware yet of the newest development in the Guy Fieri arsenal? If not...please allow me to introduce you to the concept that is...Downtown Flavortown!
downtownflavortown(dot)com
Oh, that's delightful, he's setting up shop next to Dollywood! Which I've heard has great food, and which I'd like to visit someday.
Although I'm....I'm a little scared. Intrigued, but scared.
Tumblr media
[ID: A screencap of the food menu from Downtown Flavortown featuring "Outta Bounds Waffles". The subhead reads "These funkified waffles are stuffed with signature ingredients that get cooked inside the waffle!" and the menu offerings include Spaghetti Meatball Waffle, Chili Cheese Fries Waffle, Nashville Hot Chicken Waffle, and Shrimp & Grits Waffle. They vary in price from $15 to $20.]

Is popeyes even that good like I remember coming to a grand opening of one to a mall nearby our city and almost died 7 times trying to eat one biscuit but that’s as far as I can remember
Well keep in mind I'm talking about "good" by fast food chicken standards. There's a tier list of fast food and my idea of it is "is the quality (and consistent quality) of food of decent proportion to the price you pay for it. I also lump in all forms of quick-serve chains that have a drive thru as "fast food" like Starbucks, which has a utilitarian appeal as opposed to me actually loving anything there. If there is no coffee shop, I will go to a Starbucks.
Upper-end places in my mind might be places like Chik-fil-a, Chicken Express, Starbucks, Burger Street, this one chicken and waffles place in a town near me, etc. These have decent pricing for the quality they serve.
Slightly below that is places like Wendy's, Dairy Queen, Taco Cabana, Popeye's. Chicken Express is iirc a regional chain, but Popeye's is nationwide and thus more readily available. Depending on the quality of your nearest location, you can throw a dart at any of the spicy skin menu items and expect good results for your money. But as a nationwide chain, you've got a higher chance of poorer service or shittier food since it's everywhere, kind of like McDonald's. Some are good, few are great, most are okay, some are bad, but ALL are cheap and readily available for a stoned teen or a dead-inside single parent to enter when they need a culinary band-aid on the gaping wound that is their life.
Below THAT are places where the only real points in their favor are their prices and availability, since the food quality isn't enough to stand on its own merit. This is where I place McDonald's, Sonic, Dunkin Donuts, Taco Bell, Arby's, and KFC. They're places you go when you're on the road and need to eat, and they're right off the highway and cheap. Or, you need to cater to a large group of people for a low budget and the menu is large enough to cover everyone's personal tastes.
Keep in mind this is an American scale, so things like Jollibee's or chippy chains in the UK or Tim Horton's aren't really applicable. If anything they're in the "exotic novelty" tier, where even if the quality is shit, the fact it isn't easily available in the US makes it more interesting and lucrative to try.
Thus concludes my TED Talk on fast food chains and the scale I use for ranking them, thank you

Food And Beverage Waffle Franchise in India
The Waffle Co. today is one of the most loved brand when it comes to desserts. The tempting variety of Waffles, Thick Shakes & Pancakes is just divine. Most of our stores are designed keeping in mind a contemporary look & feel, and not to forget excellent hygiene & ambient lighting
Starting a food and beverage waffle franchise in India can be a promising venture given the popularity of waffles as a snack or dessert option. Here’s a guide on how you can go about it:
1. Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to understand the demand for waffles in different regions of India. Identify the target audience, their preferences, and competitors in the market.
2. Business Plan: Develop a comprehensive business plan outlining your franchise model, target market, menu offerings, pricing strategy, marketing plan, and financial projections.
3. Franchise Model: Decide on the franchise model you want to adopt. You can offer single-unit franchises, multi-unit franchises, or even master franchises depending on your resources and expansion plans.
4. Brand Development: Create a strong brand identity including logo, name, and theme that resonates with the target audience. Consider cultural sensitivities and preferences while designing your brand.
5. Menu Development: Develop a diverse menu offering a variety of waffle flavors, toppings, and accompaniments to cater to different tastes and preferences. You can also consider incorporating local flavors to appeal to the Indian palate.
6. Supplier Selection: Identify reliable suppliers for high-quality ingredients such as batter mix, toppings, sauces, and equipment like waffle makers. Ensure that your suppliers can consistently meet your quality standards and delivery requirements.
7. Location Selection: Choose prime locations for your franchise outlets such as shopping malls, high streets, tourist spots, or commercial complexes with high foot traffic. Consider factors like visibility, accessibility, and rental costs while selecting the location.
8. Franchisee Recruitment: Develop criteria for selecting franchisees who are passionate about the business, have relevant experience in the food industry, and are willing to adhere to your brand standards and operating procedures.
9. Training and Support: Provide comprehensive training programs for franchisees and their staff covering operations, food preparation, customer service, and hygiene standards. Offer ongoing support and guidance to ensure the success of your franchisees.
10. Marketing and Promotion: Implement marketing strategies to create awareness about your waffle franchise through social media, local advertising, promotions, and tie-ups with other businesses. Offer loyalty programs and discounts to attract and retain customers.
11. Quality Control: Implement strict quality control measures to maintain consistency in the taste, presentation, and hygiene standards across all franchise outlets. Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with your brand standards.
12. Legal Compliance: Ensure that your franchise business complies with all legal requirements including food safety regulations, licenses, permits, and taxation laws applicable in India.
By following these steps and putting in the effort to build a strong brand and support system, you can establish a successful food and beverage waffle franchise in India.

Golden Spoon Frozen Yogurt, 1090 Irvine Blvd, Tustin, CA 92780
Tumblr media
Fro-yo girl here. Golden Spoon has returned to Tustin, the city where it was founded in 1983. The grand opening took place on April 7, with free minis (up to two flavors, with toppings) for guests.
Froyo flavors of the day:
Old fashion vanilla
Just chocolate
Peanut butter cup
Salted caramel
Cake batter
Cotton candy
Mango, non-dairy
Banana cream pie
Black cherry tart: smooth, thick, tangy, probably not natural but I do like a tart cherry froyo, their tart flavors have improved compared to years ago
Strawberry, no sugar added: smooth, thick, sweet – not much strawberry flavor and a bit of an aftertaste
Choose from ten froyo flavors a day. The number of toppings offered was typical for a froyo shop and included popping boba, fruit, candy, cookies, nuts, sprinkles, chocolate chips, cheesecake, brownies, cookie dough, etc.. There were a few warm sauces offered.
Prices: Mini ($4.75)/ Regular ($5.75)/ Large ($6.75)/ Quart ($15.50). Cake and waffle cones are available. From the posted prices, I could not tell if toppings were included or extra.
The mini was a generous size and the yogurt texture was smooth and thick. They put the toppings in the middle. The froyo was served with a golden spoon. If the servings continue to be generous, then GS is a better value than the Yogurtland that’s less than a mile away.
The shop had a soft opening last week. It looked new and clean inside. I also spotted milkshake machines, though I didn’t see shakes on the menu today. Parking was easy to find in the strip mall.
You know you love me. X0 X0, fro-yo girl.
4 out of 5 stars

Dunkin’ Donuts Eggs Benedict Review
Tumblr media
Dunkin’ Donuts is consistently ranked one of the top coffee shops around, and with over 11,000 restaurants in more than 30 countries. In early 2014, during a time when expanding fast-food breakfast options was all the rage, Dunkin’ Donuts found a new way to offer something different. The chain’s Eggs Benedict was introduced right around when Taco Bell announced it would soon serve breakfast items, including a waffle taco and a breakfast wrap. And McDonald’s extended its breakfast hours to 11 am. Dunkin’s new breakfast item was only available for a limited time, but in case it comes back, you’ll know what to expect after reading our Dunkin Donuts Eggs Benedict review.
History and Inspiration
Dunkin’ Donuts stays on top of its game, offering new, exciting menu items while also providing consistency in service and quality. The Eggs Benedict Breakfast Sandwich was available all day at participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants nationwide for a limited time, so what was the idea behind it? For starters, the chain wasn’t trying to serve its customers authentic Hollandaise sauce, but instead, to create a Hollandaise-flavored sauce with a consistency closer to cream cheese so that it could be spread quickly onto an English muffin. The traditional sauce may have been too complicated for employees to perfect, so the cream cheese consistency was meant to make the job easier and faster. It was confusing if one wasn’t familiar with Hollandaise sauce!
Tumblr media
Dunkin’ Donuts Eggs Benedict Review
The Eggs Benedict Breakfast Sandwich was an interesting spin on a traditional sit-down breakfast and brunch classic- except it was served on-the-go. It featured an egg, Black Forest ham, and creamy Hollandaise flavored spread on an oven-toasted English Muffin.
Tumblr media
Photo by Dunkin’ Donuts 1.      Taste and Texture At first glance, the Eggs Benedict looks like a yummy breakfast sandwich that you’d find at McDonald’s or Burger King. But the taste is somewhat disappointing. The Hollandaise-flavored sauce tastes more like mayonnaise with a hint of lemon, and I’m not a fan of tons of mayo on my sandwiches. The egg was decent. Instead of an egg patty, the sandwich included a real egg with actual yolk and egg whites. The black forest ham is lost- it was thin, and the sauce overpowered the flavors. The English muffin could have been more fresh, but it was a bit hard. It didn’t remind me of any Eggs Benedict I’ve ever had, but it resembled more of an egg and ham sandwich with mayo sauce. 2. Are they healthy? You may have heard that Dunkin Donuts’ eggs are actually egg whites made with 12 ingredients. Yikes. Luckily, this egg looked natural, not processed, so that’s a plus. The egg and ham offer a decent amount of protein. It’s high in cholesterol and carbs, though, placing it down at the bottom of the list of healthy breakfast choices. You would be much better off ordering a different sandwich from the menu. 3. Are they Worth it? Everything is worth a try at least once, right? I was mostly curious about how Dunkin’ created its Hollandaise sauce, and I expected a fast-food version of a gourmet breakfast. How that was supposed to look and taste, I’m not sure- but this wasn’t quite it. For something with that much sauce on it, I think there should have been more ingredients packed inside, and even then, I would have scraped some of the sauce off. I’d pass on ordering this again if it were ever an option.
Tumblr media
Final Verdict The Hollandaise sauce is really just a Hollandaise-flavored spread, similar to cream cheese. It’s not the traditional sauce, and it’s not the “gourmet” breakfast I expected. I definitely prefer Dunkin’s other breakfast sandwiches.

Dunkin’ Donuts Eggs Benedict Pricing
The Eggs benedict was offered for around $3.59 but varied across different locations. This is the same price as the Classic Egg & Cheese with (Ham, Bacon, or Sausage), and the Turkey Sausage Sandwich. While you won’t find the Eggs benedict on the current menu, you’ll find many other options on the Anytime Breakfast menu. What did you think about our Dunkin’ Donuts Eggs Benedict review? Were you able to taste the Eggs Benedict Sandwich while it was available at Dunkin’ Donuts? How did you like the Hollandaise sauce? How would you compare it to traditional Hollandaise sauce? I’m guessing it won’t be nearly as exciting as it was when he was 5, but you never know. Toad’s Wild Ride sticks around in Disneyland for a few more years, or at least until I can get my brother out there to ride it again. Toad didn’t inspire any food choices, although frog legs were suggested and rejected. Not exactly the healthiest meal, but certainly delicious! Homemade waffles with berries, homemade ice cream, and fresh whipped cream. Famous for their freshly made waffles available with an assortment of toppings, their menu was the inspiration for our Disney Movie Meals Challenge this time. It was a unique experience and a fun way to celebrate Halloween.Īs if leading a parade and a separately ticketed event weren’t enough, the film is also represented by Sleepy Hollow dining in Liberty Square of the Magic Kingdom. The film was shown, snacks were provided, and at the end, the Headless Horseman was presented for photo opportunities. In addition, back in 2017, Walt Disney World began offering a Legend of Sleepy Hollow event in the stables at Fort Wilderness. In fact, the Headless Horseman leads the Boo to You parade at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party each year. The Legend of Sleepy Hollow is the story of Ichabod Crane and the Headless Horseman. But somehow he is always overshadowed by the other half of the movie, The Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Toad’s film is actually kind of funny, teaches a moral or two, and has a very catchy song. The dark ride took guests on a crazy journey through the countryside, narrowly missing objects and ending up on railroad tracks with a train heading straight for them. The ride vehicles were jalopies, similar to the motorcar that Toad drives in the movie. It was all he talked about and while I’m not sure if it actually lived up to the expectations that he had, suffice it to say it was a different kind of ride. Hash house a go go

#HASH HOUSE A GO GO HOW TO#
#HASH HOUSE A GO GO CRACKED#
#HASH HOUSE A GO GO CRACKER#
It’s what the world eats, homestead style, but with an American twist. Many people want to visit the restaurants of famous chefs or ones that have been awarded multiple Michelin stars but don’t count out Hash House a Go-Go.
#HASH HOUSE A GO GO CRACKER#
Maybe the best pot pie you’ve ever eaten in your life is awaiting you, topped with a cracker crust. If you love a good pork chop, you’ve got several incredible options, including a grilled tenderloin with a honey mustard glaze with almonds. If you love meatloaf, then grab the sky-high meatloaf sandwich. With most dishes coming in for around $25 or less, add in a few bucks for drinks and a banana latte if you’re really brave, and a family of four can get out for less than $60. One of the common ways you’ll see people enjoying this restaurant is to order one dish and then share it.Īfter all – you get double portions! This makes visiting Hash House a Go-Go a budget-friendly proposition as well. Some might see the giant portion sizes as being part of the classic American version of needing too much of something, but the reality is that Hash House a Go-Go is a flashback to the homesteading traditions that built the U.S. Would a single burger fill you up after a hard morning of working in the fields? It’s because it is a chance to get some real farm-style, homemade twisted farm food in an upscale setting. The reason why Hash House a Go-Go is such a popular place isn’t because of its portion sizes or reasonable prices. “ Hash House a Go Go, Las Vegas bacon waffle” by  is marked with CC BY 2.0.
#HASH HOUSE A GO GO HOW TO#
How to Earn Rewards Without a Credit Card.
I would love to know what you thought in the comments and if you have different recommendations for me of what to order. That being said, it was a crazy fun experience with friends, one that I have no problem recommending at least once, but for me, I will probably not wait the hour next time I am in town. Of course, it was good, but I feel the portions are more shocking than how it tastes, which was less then I expected. It pains me to say this, but my excitement over the experience was slightly curbed after eating the food. I settled on the Salmon Eggs Benedict as that is one of my favorite meals, others at my table ordered everything from pancakes to griddle meals. I wish I would have known in advance how much food you get, or I undoubtedly would have shared, I don’t see how one person can eat a plate here. I didn’t know what to pick, but luckily there were six of us, so there was a lot of sharing going on. They also had a BLT Bloody Mary, which came with the bread, lettuce, and tomato and the Bloody Mary in between. I mean, there was even a S’mores mocha, which was amazing. The standout on the menu was the college special though, which was literally a side of bacon and a 24-ounce bud light in a bag. The first thing you notice about this place is how crazy the menu is it has everything. An hour later, we were walking back to our table.
Location: 3628 Fifth Ave, San Diego, CA 92103Īfter arriving on a Sunday morning, we checked in for our hour-long wait and headed to the coffee shop next door (which is good, by the way).
Come hungry as the portions are massive.
Expect to wait a long time on the weekends.
#HASH HOUSE A GO GO CRACKED#
So when I was in San Diego, I braved the 45-minute wait to see if it was all it was cracked up to be. Everyone in my life told me how I needed to go to this famed San Diego spot that specialized in portions that could feed you for a week. You know those places that everyone tells you to go to? The ones that creep into a conversation like a secret that you can’t help but tell? Hash House A Go-Go was that for me.

Planning a trip to Hershey Park
Thinking of going to Hershey Park? Especially if you live in the New England area, Hershey Park is lots of fun and takes less of a hit on your bank account than a lot of other places. We spent four days (day four was for sleeping in then driving back home) and three nights in Hershey, PA which could have definitely been condensed but we still had the best time together.
Day One: We live in CT, so Hershey is about a four-hour drive. One thing I always like to do no matter how long the drive, is to pack a cooler of drinks and snacks to have on the road especially if there's traffic. (Sorry! Don't want to jinx your trip!) We drove straight through but I'm sure there are plenty of fun places to stop on the way if you'd like. About 15 minutes away from Hershey is a place called Indian Echo Caverns. They are open typically everyday 10 a - 4 p and their prices are $22 for adults and $13 for kids. More specific information is on their website,
indianechocaverns.com
When you get there, they will give you a time slot for a tour of the caverns which is about 45 minutes long. Other than the caverns, they have a playground for kids and animals you can feed like goats, chickens, and peacocks. They do have restrooms located near the parking lot, make sure to go before walking down the many steps to get to the cavern. The tour guide was wonderful, and our 5-year-old was amazed. It is a unique experience and especially if you go in the summer, the cavern is 52 degrees all year long!
Tumblr media
We stayed at the Inn at Chocolate Ave. It was a great location local to everything. The room was great and there was a complimentary hot breakfast every morning which is always a benefit. The only critique was there is no elevator to carry all your luggage if you are not on the first floor. Otherwise, a super affordable hotel that is nearby to all the hot spots.
For dinner, we went to The Chocolatier Restaurant which is right next to the Hershey Park entrance. Every single item on the menu is made with some kind of chocolate. Vincent got chicken and waffles. Emery got the kids chicken strips and macaroni and cheese. And I got the Reese's hamburger! I know what you're thinking, Ava that sounds disgusting. But it was so good. It was a beef patty with toasted peanuts, shallot jam, and cocoa spiced sweet potato straws. For dessert (we had to get dessert, we're in Hershey duh!), we got the Reese's milkshake and the pinwheel cake. The Reese's milkshake was absolutely disgusting. It tasted like you put a straw directly in peanut butter, like there was no milk or ice cream but the Reese's Pie and chocolate covered pretzel on top was good. The pinwheel cake was very sweet but so fun.
Tumblr media
Day Two: This was our Hershey Park day! We went the end of May, so park hours were shorter than normal. We went from open to close. 11 am - 7 pm. Before the park, we went to Waffle House because when there is one nearby, we have to go! (They are not in CT if you couldn't tell!) Hershey Park was packed at opening. We bought our tickets online which is the way to go because who wants to wait in line to buy a ticket and then another line to enter the park. The park maps are all online. The kid rides are all throughout the park instead of just one area which has its pros and cons. The waterpark was not open when we went (before Memorial Day) but it is included in admission and looked like lots of fun. The Zoo is also included in admission and was the perfect size for young kids and adults too! Our favorite animal was the brown bear and black bear. As far as food, I should have planned it better. We just went to the least crowded area and got hot dogs to hold us over. After we left the park, we went to Cocoa Diner down the road and if you know me, you know I LOVE diners. They have so much variety, it's almost ALWAYS good and the staff and customers are always so sweet. This was no exception. One of the best things I did do however was order these family t-shirts from the Etsy shop "ZsCuteCreations". We got so many compliments on them, and I love supporting a fellow small business!
Tumblr media
Day Three: This day was for the random odds and ends that we all wanted to do. First up, was Hershey's Chocolate World. This is free to enter that has a gigantic store of anything Hershey related you could possibly want. There is a free ride that you can go on that is like a tour of the factory and you learn about how chocolate is made. The ride takes your picture which you can purchase later. (We did, it was affordable and super cute that you could put your photo on a chocolate bar wrapper) At the end, you even get a free chocolate. Other things you can do here (for an additional cost) is a 4D movie, chocolate tasting, make your own candy bar, a trolley ride, and stuff a giant Reese's cup! There is also a small food court in which they had a milkshake spot. Vincent was hesitant because of the one we had the other day, but I love milkshakes and they have a dark chocolate/raspberry Kit Kat one and it was probably the BEST milkshake I've ever had. He regrated not getting his own after he tried it.
Tumblr media
For lunch, Vincent had heard about Shady Maple Smorgasbord in East Earl, PA. This was an all you can eat buffet for $23 (adult). He loves any buffet because he can eat all the meat, he wants for one price! (he always thinks its taking advantage because he eats so much meat!) This drive was about 45 minutes away but we made it worth our while because the buffet has a gigantic store below it and they had a train museum nearby that was a lot of fun.
The last place we went to was Hershey Adventure Sports. This place was Emery's favorite. They had an arcade, batting cages, mini golf, go karts, bumper boats, escape rooms, etc! We had an absolute blast, and it was the best way to pass some downtime.
I hope this information helped you plan your trip, or you just enjoyed reading! Looking forward to our next trip.

June 6th, 2022
Today was a free day, ours to do with whatever we wanted. So, obviously, Beia and I finally slept in. I woke up at 10 to find the weather was grey and moist once more (frowny face). The evening before, we had made reservations at this adorably expensive brunch place, Far’s Dreng, so, after killing time in the morning for a few hours, we met with Tessa and Alice and walked over for our 12:15 reservation. Immediately, I loved the vibe of the restaurant. It was what I could only describe as uniquely Instagrammable and quirky, with fake plants in macrame hangers dangling down from the ceiling all around and above us. The menu was very pricey, so I readied my wallet (lol). There was a menu of smorebrod, the open faced sandwiches which are very popular over here, where they recommended, for a satisfying meal, to order at least two (for like $10 each). The rest of the menu had sandwiches and waffles and other brunchy things. I ordered the Chevron sandwich, this delicious grilled panini type thing with sun-dried tomatoes, pesto, and gooey, creamy goat cheese. I, again, keep saying stuff like this, but I think it may have been the best sandwich I’ve ever had. I then got the best waffle I’ve ever had in my life- named the “Love Waffle-“ it was crunchy yet doughy, and covered in the syrup of a berry I’d never heard of before with some raspberries and blueberries on top. I also had a matcha latte. I’d definitely say it was all worth the price. It was some damn good brunch.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Afterwards, we killed some time as the rain picked up by doing some shopping. Beia had set up a tattoo appointment for today and Tessa and I had agreed to tag along as emotional support, so we walked around filling the time until the appointment came. We ducked into one store where Alice tried on some cute clothes and bought something. Afterwards, we popped in to a few souvenir stores- so far on this trip, I have been on a very unsuccessful hunt to find quality Christmas ornaments. These souvenir shops were also kind of a let down in that regard- can’t find a single ornament that says “Copenhagen/Kobenhavn” or has anything resembling the city on it! It’s all little dolls on ornament hooks, a few with a (kind of wimpy) Danish flag on them. Luckily, I found a few other cute things to bring back home, and a souvenir pencil for my boyfriend.
Tumblr media
By the time we were finished with the stores, it was time to head out for Beia’s tattoo appointment at this place called “Betty Zoo Tattoo.” Alice wanted to do more shopping, so we parted ways and the remaining three of us made it to the studio, descending a small flight of stairs and opening the door to this adorably decorated clean-looking studio that smelled of flowers, had plants everywhere, and was covered in aesthetically pleasing art. By this point, I could tell Beia was getting a bit nervous, so I tried my very best to reassure her (which probably came across as awkward, but oh well lol). Her appointment, however, went super smoothly! Her artist came down, she airdropped her tattoo design to the artist, the artist made a few adjustments so that the tattoo would fade well, and they got to the chair! Her artist (whose name I’ve forgotten) diligently went to work tattooing the tiny thin-line windmill design Beia came in with on the back of her lower leg, not saying a word the whole time. Meanwhile, Tessa and I sat on the couch and kinda shared space to peek over at the artist in work. All in all, it really only took about 15 minutes to complete! I didn’t get to see the outcome at this point, because the artist immediately wrapped it. Beia got up, reeling a bit from adrenaline, and asked about payment only to find out that the shop only accepted cash or MobilePay (Denmark’s equivalent of Venmo/Cashapp, that didn’t allow anyone with an American phone number to sign up on it). So, we needed to go find an ATM for her to use. She took a break before setting out to find an ATM, feeling a bit shaken up still. I’m honestly so surprised by how trusting her artist was to let her walk out the door without paying to go find an ATM. Eventually, we followed as she went all the way back by Norreport station to use one of the ATMs we had been passing by daily. She got her cash, and we walked another 15 or so minutes back to complete the transaction.
Tumblr media
Once her tattoo process was finally wrapped up, we were all a bit snackish. Wanting to spend some more time exploring Nyhavn, we headed that way and found an Espresso House (which seems to be their equivalent of Starbucks?) to grab a quick bite at. Normally I would get a coffee, but I wasn’t feeling the need for caffeine, so I ordered a chocolate croissant (they are SO good over here) and this delicious toasted bagel (which had warm veggies on it… definitely an interesting choice). We sat to eat and chat, mostly about our pets- finding out that Tessa and Beia also have family cats. As I ate, I looked up and noticed something odd in the shop’s rafters- a pigeon had managed to sneak in to the cafe! The employees seemed to have noticed it about when I had, so they took a broomstick and started trying to get the pigeon down. All this accomplished, however, was making the pigeon scoot a couple feet away from them to the left. Oddly enough, as far as I can tell, the employees gave up trying to kick it out after this? As we finished our snacks and left, the pigeon was still there. Lucky bird, I guess.
Tumblr media
Anyways, we went back out into the street only to find that, between us and some of the stores I wanted to shop at, was a marathon! To cross the street, we had to climb on this terribly shaky about 20-foot-high temporary metal bridge they had set up. I could feel every tremble of the metal all around me, and sat there hoping that they designed the flimsy metal panels under my feet to withstand someone plus-sized lol. Definitely kicked my fear of heights into action.
Tumblr media
Anyways, Nyhavn was understandably super crowded with people watching the marathon either from the sidewalk or from a restaurant table. So that made it a bit less fun to explore.
Tumblr media
As we walked amongst the crowds, I noticed a few touristy shops to pop in to for souvenirs. Frustratingly, still no luck with finding a Christmas ornament! How frustrating. Shopping was otherwise uneventful, and it seemed it was only the streets and restaurants crowded with people there for the marathon event. After shopping, we sat down at a restaurant right next to (what a classmate had said was) one of the oldest running tattoo shops in the world, which I thought was neat. Seemed like a small hole in the wall type place, almost literally (we peeked down through the windows and it looked like it was only one room!). Anyways, we sat at one of the few open tables, I had an overpriced beer, and I did some tarot readings for Beia and Tessa with the new tarot deck I had gotten the other day. They went well! I’m always pleasantly surprised when I do readings for people and they resonate or are otherwise super accurate. I’m not really the best tarot reader out there, and I don’t practice nearly enough (it’s no fun reading tarot for yourself), but I love when I do get to read for others. Almost lost some cards while shuffling, which wasn’t great.
After beer and tarot, we stood up again to see if there were any other interesting stores nearby, finding that most of Nyhavn seemed to have places for food or drink and not a whole lot else. That was alright, though, because we had made plans with Dane and the others in the “introvert group” to meet up once again at Bastard Cafe for another night of drinks, delicious fries, and board games! So, after wrapping up our second exploration of Nyhavn, we headed straight to Bastard Cafe. We were the first there, so we grabbed a long table outside. I was going to try to order some food and drink through their mobile app, but wasn’t seeing what I wanted, so I and a couple others went inside to order. We got some more delicious salt and vinegar fries with truffle mayo (thanks to Beia, this time) and I ordered some wine that was supposed to taste like Pina Colada. It kind of did! It was really more of a Sangria, but that’s alright.
Tumblr media
By the time food and drinks arrived at our table the others had made it. Dane went to go search out some games- the first game of the night was to be Cards Against Muggles, a Harry Potter parody of Cards Against Humanity. Admittedly, I wasn’t super hyped for this. I like CAH-style games, to an extent, but where we were sitting was very loud and I’m never excited to have my turn as the card czar and try to speak up over both our table and everyone else outside to read peoples’ card submissions. I also know next to nothing about Harry Potter. I mean, I know my house and I’ve watched most of the movies, but if you ask me who tf Neville Longbottom is I don’t think I can answer. The game played alright. I think most of us felt about the same about it. Funny enough, as we asked each other our houses, I noticed that there were more Hufflepuffs than anything, and that the four of us had grouped together on one end of the table unknowingly. But yeah, other than houses, I don’t really know anything and others were in the same boat, so the game died kind of quickly, sending Dane in search of some other good games for a group of 8ish.
Tumblr media
He came back with another CAH-style game, Cards Against Disney. This game played quite a bit better, either because more of us understood Disney references than Harry Potter references, or because a good handful of us were getting somewhat tipsy, myself included. I had gotten a delicious fruity Rose after the sangria, but it sure hit harder than I expected it to! Needless to say I got no other alcohol after that one. As for the game, we had a reasonable amount of fun. Some of us just weren’t into it. I think, once you reach a certain age, that’s kind of how playing CAH-style games goes. For me, the novelty of this type of game kind of wore off around when I was 18. Although I gotta say, for a game about Disney characters/movies (and that was probably sponsored by Disney), it was EXTREMELY raunchy. I was so expecting it to be a family-friendly game because Disney is notorious for their “Wholesome, family-friendly” brand (which is why they’ve canceled one of my favorite cartoons in the whole world just for having just one same-sex couple), making it quite a bit hypocritical to have a card game available with jokes about extremely gross, taboo topics. I mean, Disney’s hypocrisy aside, it did make it more interesting than if it wasn’t raunchy, I guess.
Anyways, the Disney game eventually sort of died out as well. Eventually, we said f it, and went in search of Secret Hitler. Those of us familiar with the game liked it a lot and wanted to play again and teach Jacob and Brandon how to play, as they hadn’t been with us for the first visit to Bastard Cafe. And we had a blast. Brandon’s facial expressions were so funny when handing out the Chancellor plaque/making policy decisions in the game, Jacob was just as funny, I’m glad they made it this time! There were some good rounds. I wound up with the role of “Fascist” more in the rounds we played then I probably ever have when playing the game back home. There was a round where all of the girls who were playing wound up with fascist cards, I think Beia was the Secret Hitler that round- which wound up pretty hilariously. Every time the guys would accuse us of being fascists (which happened often because Alice has like no poker face), I’d accuse them of being sexist, even though (especially Brandon) was basically on to us. I think somebody accused me of being the Secret Hitler and wound up dead in the game because they were wrong. If I remember right, us gals won, though. It was a blast. However, we didn’t play too many more rounds after this because we were all getting a little tired, and the cafe was only really open for another hour anyways.
We headed home around 10PM, right as the sun was setting. The sky above was so gorgeous. I still find their sunrise/sunset times so strange, though, and struggle to picture what it’s like in the winter, when the opposite is the case and there’s only 5-6 hours of daylight. Regardless, it’s been surreal walking around at what I’d consider to be night time with a bright blue sky or a sunset overhead (plus knowing that the sun just comes right back at 3-4AM).
Tumblr media
Once we made it back, I relaxed and spent some time working on blogs and journals again. I’ve started falling behind, so I have a feeling these blogs are going to start being more than a day behind. Maybe I shouldn’t be typing so much for each day………………. Nah.

What makes Waffle Shop Menu trend among other Desserts
The current generation is gradually and rapidly moving over from Indian desserts and sweets that range from barfis to jalebis to more westernised desserts from pies to cheesecakes. But what has caught India’s imagination in western desserts is the Waffle. The present generation has been opened up to world cuisine and when it comes to desserts, it is the humble waffle that has caught the attention of many metropolitan and more importantly leads to the creation of popular waffle shops in Mumbai.
Due to the globalisation and disposal incomes now earned by the trending generation, western culture and cuisine have seamlessly seeped into cosmopolitan cities like Mumbai. Through the introduction of Waffles in India, various waffle shops in Mumbai spruced up catering to the likes of waffle lovers.
Tumblr media
What makes waffles so popular is the fact that it has become popular after lunch or dinner dessert. The waffle if made correctly is crisp light and crunchy wafer, that when paired with any other fusions that range from honey to molten chocolate dips make the waffle a lot more enjoyable. The greatest gift that a waffle possesses is that it can be blended with any sweet ingredients, be it fruits, sugary liquids or for that matter pastries. It just infuses itself into the recipe without changing its original taste.
The past two to three years have seen wade of Waffle shop near me in Mumbai. These waffle shop address range from Vile Parle to Ghatkopar. These shops are now quickly been set up by young entrepreneurs who are now catapulting on the rising popularity of this exotic international dessert. World of Waffles is one such outlet that is doing a great job in providing a waffle that is closest to the authentic western waffles that are provided abroad.
Authentic, crispy, lightweight easy to take away, World of Waffles in Ghatkopar caters to a Waffle shop menu that presents more than 30 flavours to consumers. This ensures that there is something for everyone to enjoy it. The World of Waffle shop menu prices too are competitive, making it a favourite hangout for friends and families. The ambience of the shop is what makes it trending and more sought after as compared to other waffle shops in Mumbai.
The waffles are purely vegetarian in nature and hence no meat product is used in baking it. Now one can enjoy all the classics be it the maple syrup or molten chocolate topped with sugary tidbits. One can indulge in the waffle sweetness. There is still more space and room to grow in the waffle market, but one thing is assured World of Waffles intends to always stay on top of the game when it comes to creating unique waffle dishes. Walk into the store and grab your very own favourite waffle today.
