Are you a big fanfic reader? What have you read lately and what's been your favourite fic so far?

Just kidding. I don't have kids. But I assume having to pick a favourite would be hard if I did.

So, am I a big fanfic reader? YES. And what haven't I read lately? We are lucky enough to have so many talented writers in this fandom that it's possible to subscribe to numerous multi-chapter fics to the point where you're just constantly getting update emails. Which I do. It's great. It gives me something to do at work aside from, y'know, work.

a medical student AU based in the Canadian medical system (I'm a Canadian so I was pretty excited about that). It manages to tackle the continued systemic discrimination of Indigenous people in our medical system (and in general), homophobia and the ensuing trauma from those things all while also being informative, funny, sweet, romantic and hot af. Like. It's so good.

This is another one with with a heavy topic that also does a great job of making sure to break it up with some excellent fluff, hurt/comfort and humorous moments. And it's handled with the sensitivity and thoughtfulness necessary to write something that takes place in a mental health ward and deals with some intense situations. Definitely make sure to read those author notes before diving in. They lay it out very thoroughly.

A martial arts AU. Crowley is a karate sensei and Aziraphale is his student. Slow burn that keeps you on the edge. The screams I have scrumt at my screen over this one. Plus you learn a lot about karate (but it never gets boring or over-explainey. Excellently balanced) which is pretty cool. Mostly light (there is some angst. This is the Good Omens fandom. I think we are all sad, wet chihuahuas at heart). Funny and sweet.

Astronaut AU. Aziraphale is an astronaut who meets his mission controller, Crowley, over the comms system when he finds himself in need of assistance.

Super cool concept and really well-done in my opinion. Like, I don't do any space or physics-related work (ok I straight-up failed math 9) but I find it entirely believable. And it's well-written which is the entire point. Cute, funny slow burn with an intriguing mystery happening in the background.

Aziraphale has family money but a shitty family (except for Muriel! Never Muriel!) and his shitty brother Gabriel is getting married to shitty Michael, an Earl's daughter.

Aziraphale's family disproves of his entire life pretty much and he has been lying to them about having a boyfriend. Now they are expecting him to bring said boyfriend to the wedding. His famous footballer friend sets him up with their mechanic, Crowley.

It starts as a slow-burn but becomes a hilarious, smutty romp that just gets more and more insane. The chapter titles alone have made me cackle out loud.

Some older human AUs I'm a huge fan of include Old Vines by @sevdrag. Crowley owns a vineyard and Aziraphale is a wine critic. It is so amazingly written. It makes me think of the author Joanna Harris (Chocolat, The Five Quarters of the Orange) because it's SO beautifully, vividly descriptive that I end up craaaaaving wine. So have a bottle on hand if you're giving this a read.

Also the love story in this. My god. I devoured it. The story and the (many bottles of) wine.

There is also Loosely Ballroom by marginalia_device and mortifyingideal. It's a Strictly Come Dancing (Dancing with the Stars in North America) AU and it is so. Fucking. Good.

But it comes with a disclaimer. It's unfinished and looks likely to stay that way. But honestly? Still worth it. It's nearly finished (I think) so you have most of the story. And it's just SO good. It's been a while since I read it but it was one of the first human AUs I read and what got me hooked on them.

I have an idea for Xavier, some angst followed by fluff (my favourite genre)

So you know how Xavier can draw and bring his art to life. I like to imagine reader has a similar power, anything she writes comes to life. Xavier and her work together, this like cute power couple who make accompaniments to each others work and its sweet and lovely.

Until when all this hyde business comes along and everyones on edge, she sees xavier getting closer with Wednesday and shes like 'you know what, no, I trust you.' And they do trust each other.

But she comes back to see all her work, all her writing completely torn up, shredded, thrown across the room. Shes distraught. Wednesday and enid hear her crying and they're like, what the fuck happened, enid is comforting, wednesday is like 'I'll make this persons death slow' in her unique comforting way.

However, someone framed Xavier! And after she sees the scissors used to tear some of the paper or maybe a piece of incriminating evidence on xavier, her upset brain puts two and two together. Hes screaming and crying he doesnt understand, sort of picture a more upset Billy in the scene in scream where sidney calls the cops on him

Enid is pissed and ajax is too, and wednesday, they're all super protective and ajax gets to angry he near punches Xavier when hes determined to see her.

Of course we need a resolve so maybe Wednesday finds out that thornhill needed the two of them out of the way, she was sick of them parading around and bearing discovering her evilness.

I just need Xavier fluff to angst with some helpful friends

you sighed and turned to go to your dorm.

you saw them everywhere together, in the halls, in the quad and in class. they were always together

all you wanted was for your boyfriend to come see you. so you didn't really hesitate to write what you wanted.

'I wish Xavier would spend time more time with me' you wrote.

5 minutes later there was a knock on your door, you stood up from your chair to open the door

you had gotten closer to Wednesday, her gaining your full trust and becoming friends.

you flipped to a page, seeing a drawing of butterfly. you smiled down at it and pushed the book closer to him, he hovered his hand over the page, making it fly of the page.

it circled around your head. you turned your head as it flew around you with a grin on your face

you giggled as it landed on the table you sat at.

"this isn't the time for your animations, Mister Thorpe" Thornhill stated

"sorry" he apologised, bringing the butterfly back to the page. he sighed as he looked at you with a soft sad smile.

you had an idea and opened your book, writing down what you wanted.

after a minute, Thornhill's vase with a plant in it fell off her table and smashed on the floor, glass and water spilling.

you rubbed it off your page, getting rid of any evidence that you were the reason for it.

Xavier laughed under his breath and smiled at you sneakily.

you had gone back to your room. you had no classes today and you wanted to clean yourself to find your writing ripped up and thrown all over the floor.

"what happened?!" Enid cried

"I don't know! I came in here and found it like this" you sobbed, pausing to sniffle

"I know, I just don't get why he would do this" you sniffled

"don't worry, his death with be painful and slow" she smirked

"what?" you choked on your tears

"nothing" her deadpan expression scared you

"it will be ok, I promise" Enid comforted, sitting down beside you and wrapping her arms around you

"Enid told me what happened, are you ok?" Ajax panted as he ran into your room

"you don't need him" Wednesday said

it had been an hour and they were still all there by your side. you had grown tired and started falling asleep on Enid shoulder

there was a rushed knock on the door.

"Y/n! let me in! I need to talk to you" Xavier yelled frantically through the door, all three of your friends looked at each other, angry looks on their faces. Ajax got up from his position to go to the door

"just hear me out!" Xavier yelled before the door flew open

"the only thing we want to hear is you leaving" Ajax said

"where's Y/n?" Xavier asked anxiously

"doesn't matter. she's not talking to you, now leave" Ajax demanded

"No, you don't understand-"

"-leave before I stone you, Xavier. don't make me repeat myself"

"I didn't-" Xavier had tears forming in his eyes

"there is evidence that it was you" Wednesday said, standing beside Ajax

"it wasn't me! I swear. believe me!" Xavier pleaded

"you're going to wake her up" Enid called

"I don't care, she needs to know it wasn't me"

"Xavier, leave" Ajax said through gritted teeth

"please" he begged, he began crying

"is that Xavier?" you whispered to Enid

"they're getting rid of him, don't worry" Enid smiled softly

"Y/n!" Xavier yelled out to you. looking over Wednesday's and Ajax's heads to see you

"let me see her!" he said to Ajax

Xavier pulled out his notebook from his bag, flipping through the pages, he noticed it was missing

"what? is it not there?" Wednesday asked smugly

"No! no, it was in here! I don't rip my drawing out!" Xavier ran a hand through his hair

"or is that just a cover up?" Enid said

"you guys aren't even letting Y/n speak!" Xavier looked at you, breathing heavily as he started crying "what do you think, what do you want?"

"I want you to leave" You murmured. Xavier barely heard what you said, But Ajax heard clear as day as he stood behind him

"What?" Xavier said under his breath

"it's time for you to leave" Ajax glared at him, grabbing Xavier arm and pulling him to the door

"No! don't fucking touch me! you seriously think I did this, you're my bestfriend!?" he screamed

Enid stood up and stood in front of the tall boy "leave, none of us want you here, asshole" she spat, pushing his back. Xavier didn't exactly stumble back, but he moved his foot back at he shifted

"I'm not fucking leaving, I didn't do it!" Xavier shouted

"hey!" Ajax yelled in his face "leave before I fucking stone you"

"what the hell is wrong with you!" Xavier scoffed

Ajax punched Xavier in the face before shoving him out the door and slamming it in his face

"I think that hurt me more than it hurt him" He winced, shaking his hands.

"I'm sorry you felt the need to do that" you apologised softly

"I would do it again" he said, hugging you

a week after the incident. Wednesday thought that something about it felt odd. So she investigated it further as she helped with the hyde situation.

soon after that she found the claw in Xavier's shed. so she knew that is was him.

But once the information that it was it was Tyler with the Help of Thornhill came to her attention. she felt stupid.

"so, you're saying it wasn't Xavier?" you asked, confused

"that's what I'm saying, yes. I did some further digging and found Xavier's missing ring underneath his bed while I still had the one found on your floor" she explained

"I don't know why we would even believe it was him. why would he leave one of his drawings on your floor? that's just stupid. he wouldn't just rip it out for you to know it was him who 'did' it. besides, he does love you" she finished

"Xavier's going to hate me!" you cried

"he doesn't. I saw him before I came here" she stated

"so should I go see him?" you questioned nervously

"I don't know why you're still here"

you started running to his dorm room to apologise

it's honestly my comfort au-- so here's a part two ! (here's part one)

Having Vash and Wolfwood as roommates would include(part two);;

warnings;; I included some nsfw headcanons this time. they're at the end and have a warning. This also has a bit of fighting/angst that ends in fluff notes: i have a couple of fics in the work for this au. let me know if there any big moments you would like to see written out into a full fic! Their jobs/majors

I kind of feel like Vash is studying in the science department. Specifically something that has to do with plant science? Botany, Environmental science, maybe even biology? I know it’s a little on the nose but I really do think it would work perfectly for him

Maybe he even opens up his own little flower shop in the future??

No matter what he has a lot of labs and he is always tired after them.

He probably has a part-time job as a barista at a little cafe on campus

No thoughts just Vash in a cute little apron

He’s a fan favorite among the college kids. They say he makes the best coffee, and he sometimes gives people little freebies when they look sad

His manager Meryl actively yells at him for it, but she doesn’t actually care that much.

He ALWAYS will give you freebies if you come in to visit him. He gets a free drink as an employee, and he’ll save it for you just in case you come in. Sometimes he’ll even take it to go and drop it off for you

Wolfwood gives huge phycology vibes. Mans had a messed up childhood and wants nothing more than to help other people through that stuff

Either that or he’s an art student. I can see that too

He takes school very seriously, but he is horrible at math. He cannot divide to save his life. He’s had to retake his math class like three times

His job? Well nobody knows and at this point everyone is too scared to ask. (He’s a security guard lol)

Whatever it is, he hates it. He comes home grumpy and needs lots of hugs and kisses.

He’ll be all pouty and pissed off, and then you’ll give him a little kiss on the cheek and a small smile will break out 

Bonus; Knives is on the track to becoming a surgeon. I will die on the hill that he is going into the medical field. (he’d look so good in scrubs) and i know McDonalds knives is kind of funny, but I'm thinking he’s actually and EMT. Imagine getting hurt and having Knives be your first responder (id die on the spot)

First Date

It’s not really a date- well you don’t call it a date. Vash just walks in with a couple of free tickets to a haunted house event thing  and asks if you and Wolfwood want to come

You’re like hell yeah

The drive there is like the calm before the storm. You listen to some music, seated in front with wolfwood driving. He definitely has his hand on your thigh. Vash is super excited about finally doing something that isn’t getting high and playing games

You all thought it was gonna be some dumb little spooky house. They’re never that scary. It’s just fun to see all the decorations and actors

Oh boy were you wrong

It’s so well put together. The actors are really into it, and they have amazing make up. When you’re standing in line, some clown girl walks up to Vash and you watch the regret build up on his face. The guy is already terrified

The first hallway is pitch black, and you have to rely on a feeling your way through it. Vash is mumbling about how much he hates it the entire time

Wolfwood is like “Don’t worry guys I’ll protect you.” And then proceeds to let out the loudest scream when the lights come on and there’s a girl dressed up as a ghost standing there

Soon all three of you are huddled up, holding hands, and shaking

These things should not be that scary!!!

It’s Vash who gets you kicked out

He gets so spooked that he runs into a bunch of boxes and knocks one of the fake walls down. The entire thing has to stop to fix it

You’re all banned

After that you go eat pancakes and complain about how scary it was

When things get tense

Fights can happen sometimes

None of you are perfect, and those boys have gone through some shit

Vash tends to shut himself away from you when he’s upset. He doesn’t come out of his room, and when he does he pretends like he’s fine. 

He doesn’t like burdening other people with his problems.

Eventually it just starts to feel like he doesn’t trust you enough to let you in. SIt gets really bad when he tells you to go away one day, and you watch Wolfwood walk into his room 30 minutes later

It doesn’t really turn into a fight. You just get sad, and even a little insecure. So, you avoid him back. Not because you’re vengeful, just because you feel hurt

A few days of the two of you not talking and Vash is in tears by your door

He begs for forgiveness and explains why he’s like this

You tell him it’s okay, but what he does really hurt you. He promises to work on it, and he does

That night the two of you make up for loss time

Wolfwood and you fight a lot more

Most of the time it’s silly little arguments that you solve pretty fast

Wolfwood is bad at communicating in general. But especially when it comes to his feelings

He has really bad days sometimes, and he can get grumpy really fast these days, and one day you really piss him off

He won’t tell you what you did though, he just gives you the cold shoulder

That pisses you off because you’d so be willing to talk it out and apologize, but he won’t tell you what you did 

So you’re mad now too

Things are tense between you too, and it all comes to an end on movie night when you start arguing about what movie to watch

You want to watch one of your favorite movies from your childhood and he says that it’s a stupid movie

Things get heated fast, while Vash just disappears into the background. He that the two of you need to workout your problems on your own (but he really wants to intervene) 

When the tears start falling, Wolfwood immediately stops

He takes a breath, and the two of you sit down and just talk. 

You talk ALL night about what happened, and what the two of you could have done better. In the end, you fall asleep on his chest while he plays with your hair. 

You have movie night the next night to make up for it, and he puts the movie you wanted to watch in before you can even talk about it ( he ends up loving the movie and after that you two watch it all the time)

Id have to make an entire other thing for when Vash and Wolfwood fight because it’s no fun for anyone

After the three of you finally get past the awkward stages and start fucking, you find out these two are…horny

They’ll grab you and go to town any time

They really like to share you, but there’s no jealousy in the relationship so it’s okay for one on one time as well!

Wolfwood will pull you into steamy make out sessions whenever. He’ll do it out of nowhere. I imagine he just really likes you, and can’t get enough

i will always always recommend diggingupthegrave fics. they are easily my favorite inuokko writer pls you have to read all their inuokko fics...i saved this particular one of theirs to read for much later bc i knew it was going to change my life (7 chapters ok) and boy did it do exactly that. the way they implemented canon elements into a magic setting was so so brillaint and i savored every bit of it.

Beat the Turtle Drum by CasuallyScreaming (7.4k) tags: major character death, post-shibuya incident arc, angst, minimal comfort, no shibuya spoilers read this before sleeping the other night and honestly how i managed to still fall asleep after was my body trying to protect me from full out bawling and having a mental breakdown...i don't think i've read a lot of MCD inuokko but god this one shook me to my core. almost like the feeling of loss and grief were bleeding through my phone screen. so well written and while it's definitely mostly painful, the ending....well you'll find out :')

Look at some of the comments, this is exactly why I don’t allow reposts on other sites, especially insta/facebook/tiktok (the big three lol): we can’t really control who is going to see our content there. We have all the warnings on our blogs, there is a certain understanding that if you follow us, you have to be aware and not mind other content that we post. It kind of sucks when people try to strip that control away from you and post your work to other spaces, when people can shit on us for me drawing things that I want to draw. We probably have some of these people blocked both here and on twitter, and yet they still get to see our stuff when it’s reposted and share their oh so important opinion.

a/n : ok this is kind of random but like why does everyone comment on how sunoo is pretty but no one talks about how fine he is?? like that man is so fine bro. anyways enjoy!

“sunoo have you seen my shampoo ad? i’m so excited it’s my first ad ever!” your voice comes out of the phone, sunoo jumps at the sound, turning the volume down.

“not yet y/n, let me search it up right now, and i’ll give you a live reaction, okay?”

“okay! don’t make fun of me though” he could hear your furrowed brows through the call.

“don’t worry, i won’t” he hears your sigh of relief, as he spots your face on an ad. he taps on the screen enlarging the video.

“okay i found it! now shush.”

the ad itself was pretty silly, you dressed as a fairy, blessing people with unhealthy hair with the shampoo you were advertising! it wasn’t much but sunoo watches your ad in awe, when did you get so pretty? weren’t you that awkward person in middle school just yesterday? and why were you such a cute fairy?

“what did ya think?” your excited voice comes out of his speaker again, “do i look cool as a fairy or what?”

“y-yeah you look pretty cool y/n,” he silently curses at himself for stuttering, you’ve known them for years! don’t be weird now!

“see i knew i looked super oh-! my managers calling sun, i’ll call you later okay?”

“oh- okay, byee!” he tries to mimic his usual voice. he ends the call as quickly as possible, not wanting to make a bigger fool of himself than he already has. turns out, niki had already been set on that mission.

“hyung what was that?” niki gives him a teasing smile.

sunoo acts oblivious to the situation, “what was what?”

“your awkwardness! also i see the pink in your cheeks after watching her ad, don’t even lie.”

“i do not have pink-“

niki gasps,“oh my gosh, do you have a crush on y/n?”

sunoo stays silent, confirming nikis suspicions.

“i knew it! i knew someone had to have feelings between the two of you, you literally act like an old married couple!”

sunoo gives him a dirty look, turning back to his phone, “we don’t act like a married couple,” he assures himself, scrolling on whatever app he has.

“yeah right, you should totally ask them on a date sometime!” sunoo rolls his eyes at the suggestion, quickly firing back, “you think i can? netizens are crazy these days, especially with our group.”

“but you want to go on a date with them,” niki smirks at his new information.

“okay but that’s not the point.”

“you didn’t deny it!” niki points at sunoo, (not so) secretly grabbing his phone in the process.

“stop- what are you doing?” sunoo exclaims, as he tries to get a hold of his phone, but he didn’t want to get out of his spot, and neither did his legs.

“asking them for you! because you’re such a coward.” niki smirks again, typing away on his phone. niki presses the last button harder than the others, proudly giving his phone back to sunoo.

“they won’t answer, their manager called them niki!” sunoo complains, reading over the text.

‘y/nnnn do you wanna go on a date with me to the new art museum this weekend? i heard it’s pretty cool 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️’

sunoo almost looks at the text in disgust. niki typed almost identically to how he would text.

soon your typing bubble pops up, sunoo almost throws his phone in anticipation, sunoo and niki both move their faces closer to the phone. when the familiar gray text pops up niki almost screams in excitement.

- Either really knows how to play American football and is super invested in the NFL, or does not know anything at all “What is a down?”

- Is SO CLINGY (Derogatory) sure you thought it was cute at first until she gets up at 5 am for her morning practice and wakes you up too so you can “brush your teeth together”. It gets even worse when she’s sick, shes the hugest baby when she’s sick and you know if she gets sick you’re bound to get sick a week later because she’s plastered to your side

Van:

- Legit loves anything you get her, even if it’s kind of a joke. Stupid $2 tourist T shirt? You got it for her so she loves it, childish Spider-Man socks, thinks they’re cool as fuck. Just overall very appreciative and excited to recieve anything from you

Lottie:

- I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; She’s absolutely good at all the fine arts; she can draw well, she definitely can play the piano and violin, bc her rich parents paid for her to have lessons, etc

- She definitely also did some nerdy shit like take taekwondo until she was 14. Idk why I can just imagine this girl in like that white martial arts gi, doing like punching exercises.

Shauna:

- I don’t know if this makes sense but the kind of gf that when you guys go out to eat, you’ll both be quiet/not talk so you can eavesdrop onto people’s conversations and talk about it in the car on the way home

also i feel like jackie is such a morning person. you're half an energy drink in and barely awake and she's bouncing off the walls at 6 AM

I don't know if anyone has said this before, or who came up with the idea but Hunter would absolutely be the kind of person to doodle himself and willow as wolves and in love whilst kicking his feet and giggling (as soon as someone else walks in though he would be throwing the entire book out the window)

It's so funny because Hunter has a tendency to talk to himself. He's very loud. But I think he'd be drawing his little wolfsonas and getting so giddy and overwhelmed by the thought of it that he is rendered incapable of even articulating what he's feeling but he still has to make some noise.

He's so embarrassed that he's doing this and also he's so PUMPED by how much fun he's having and he's jittery with how smitten he is with his little self indulgent wolf au and he's getting a thrill from it because there's nobody around to stop him and nobody will ever know. He is cringe but he is free. So he's overstimulated, he's kicking, he's giggling, he's squealing a little, he's trying to make words but all that's coming out like "WHAT IF-!!" *scribbles a green streak in wolf!Willow's fur* "SO COOL!! IT'S--JUST GOTTA--AAA!!! TEETH!!!" *makes wolf!Hunter's teeth sharper* "YES!! YESSS!!!!!"

Like he's trying to be low-key about it cuz this is supposed to be a secret but the whole fucking house can hear him. They're politely ignoring the racket he's causing.

He's like a little mad scientist bringing his creation to life. Except his creation happens to be his drawings of him and the girl he likes as wolves nuzzling together.

That's the kicker here that's making him go fucking bonkers. Hunter draws wolves all the time and he shoves them in the face of everybody who will look but drawing himself and Willow being affectionate wolves is a HUGELY personal thing. Hunter's equivalent of pouring his heart out in a love letter or whatever.

And God if Willow happened to catch him in the act and he's got nowhere to throw it, he might be inclined to eat the fucking sketchbook. He was SO in the zone and SO gushy that Willow sneaking up on him spooked out a full blown scream of terror. His whole face is set fucking ablaze. All he can really do with the sketchbook is drop it, fucking lunge after it and clumsily scrabble to make a grab for it before it hits the floor and clutch the stupid thing close against his chest like it's his first born, still heaving as he recovers from his fright.

Willow hadn't meant to scare him, she just wanted to see what he was doing. He was usually excited to show her his little drawings. He'd also blush really bad when she complimented them, which was super cute, so Willow usually sought out stuff to praise him for. Wasn't hard. He WAS the coolest dude ever.

Willow can absolutely tell he's embarrassed and she assumes it's because he doesn't think his latest drawing is very good. He often points out when he messes up proportions or other errors, so it's not unlike him to be shy about showing others art he's not proud of.

"Can I see your drawing?" She asks with a soft smile. She has no intention of pushing it if he says no, but she's always curious to see the stuff he makes.

But a detail Willow hasn't entirely grasped yet (she gets the basics) is that the softer her voice gets, the harder it is for Hunter to tell her no. He can clearly tell she's not pressuring him into anything. He can tell she's giving him plenty of an option to keep this to himself. She's always just SO nice to him and ugghhhh!!!!

Completely mute, eyed locked on the floor, ears scalding, Hunter ends up handing her the sketchbook.

And Willow goes completely fucking batshit insane.

"Is this us??" She demands, pumped as hell. "Is this us as beasts??? That's so fucking cool!!! Look at sharp your teeth are, look how awesome my hair looks!!!" She catches him by the face and squeezes his cheeks "You are SO talented!!!"

Willow praises him RELENTLESSLY and Hunter's just there like

He really does gobble her attention up. He really does. Gets him all floaty and smiley for hours afterwards. Nerd.

Anyway Willow is obviously aware he has a bit of a thing for her but she doesn't know a lot about wolves. So the specifics of their little affectionate touches in the doodles completely fly over her head.

"Are our wolf selves friends?" She asks "Is that why we're hugging like that?"

Hunter's ears light up like poppies and, knowing full well that he added those gestures of affection with the idea in mind that their wolfsonas were mated for life, decides to choke out "Um. Yeah. We're friends."

Its not technically a lie. They're just very good friends.

Anyway Hunter nearly fucking faints later that day when Willow tucks her head in the crook of his neck, nuzzles into it then smiles up at him and says "It's just like we're wolves :D 💕"

So I went to Miku Expo 2024 last night (the Vancouver show) and I wanted to talk about it while it's top of mind.

TL;DR I had a lot of fun, while there were some things I wish were different (mostly the screen), it wasn't a bad first Miku concert IMO (But I do wanna see more shows). More under the cut!

First of all, it was super cool to see all the different people there to see Miku and the other Vocaloids. Like, I've been to conventions before and it's always cool to see a horde of people dressed as various anime characters or animals, but to see everyone dressed specifically as Voicaloids and Project Sekai characters was new for me.

About the merch on sale at the concert, I was surprised that they were doing most of it outside and that the inside merch stand had barely anything- at least when I got in. That could just be bad timing on my end. If you're reading this and you wanna buy merch at one of the upcoming shows (especially a glowstick), make sure to get there early. For Vancouver, they did send out an email the day before saying that they were selling merch outside starting at 2pm, but I wasn't able to get there before then.

I did get the VIP package merch but it's kinda.... well it's not bad or anything, and I'm glad to have it but some of it feels a little cheap. For example, the hand fan is cute but feels flimsy, and the tote bag has a really nice design but the heat pressing makes me not wanna use it because I'm worried about cracking the art. On the other hand, I really like the lanyard that came with the package; The art was done by Socky and I liked it so much that I bought the backpack that also has that art.

Onto the show. You may have already heard this but yes, It wasn't the usual hologram, where they have a sheet of glass with the visual projected onto it, it was just a normal screen where they played the visual. It did feel like I was watching one of those hologram-ready videos on my phone but on a giant TV, but it was still cool to see.

Here's also a side-by-side of how the hologram looks vs the display using on the rocks from Magical Mirai 2021 and last night's show. While it's not fair to use a pro-shot vs what looks like a musical theater bootleg sime tutorial to show this, I hope it gets the point across. I liked the setlist also, it can be found at this link here, but some standouts to me were, Miku by Anamanaguchi, The Vampire, Unknown Mother Goose, Childish War, On the Rocks, Sore ga Anata no Shiawase to Shite mo, Gimmie x Gimmie (Love this song so much), World is Mine (everyone screamed at the first "Sekai de" (including me)), the band introduction, Tell Your World (It's not my favorite or anything, but they shot out confetti at one point and that was cool.), and Intergalactic Bond.

I want to expand a bit on the band introduction and them as a whole, I loved that the band got attention and their names were shown. I watched some Magical Mirai videos and I see that this practice might be from that, so I'm glad that was carried over. They all were stellar and watching them was really exciting, the drummer- Dylan was always so cool to look at, Tobias the keyboardist was dancing near the beginning of Gimmie x Gimmie and that was a vibe, the bassist and guitarist- Leanne and Vixen's Diary respectively were fun to watch when they would get into the song and headbang and bounce around.

Lastly, I was surprised that Luka only got 2 songs (one of them was a duet with Miku). I (very sadly) expect MEIKO and KAITO to get shafted when it comes to songs, but not Luka!

Quick shout-outs to some specific concert goers; Shieonn, who made stickers and was handing them out before the show (Here's her Twitter!),

The person near me who shouted either "I LOVE YOU JERMA!" or "I LOVE YOU DRUMMER!" at the end of one of the songs (I think it was World is Mine), the girl near me who was trying to get pictures and video of the show using her 3DS, and this one person I saw outside the venue entrance as the show was letting out who was dressed up as Sonic Miku, I wanted to say that I loved the fit, but I didn't wanna just walk up to you randomly at almost 10PM and possibly freak you out.

Overall, I'd go again but please for the love of god, don't just have a screen for the Vocaloids!

Extra snacks, extra new colored pens, extra perfume samples they gave him at the store, extra flowers he found on his way to class??? extra beaded bracelets (matching😭🤢💗) he bought on accident??? extra frappuccinos??? it was so suspicious because, why on earth would they give him an extra frappuccino??? but he believed it wasn’t suspicious at all, and you let him believe because, deep deep deeeeep down (it wasn’t that deep) you liked him, but JUST A LITTLE (you were head over heels falling in love with him omg)
