In A Like Supreme it's Kerry's "You wanna hear a new— He's... gone, isn't he?" & "How was the gig? (...) Damn shame I had to miss it" "Eeehh, can still come to my show."

It's the disappointment in Kerry's voice and him wanting to spend more time with Johnny, not talk to him through V. "Voices out of the grave." What I noticed this time around is how Kerry is ready to share any unfinished material with Johnny.

For example, Kerry plays V that yacht song as a way to show his trust and his gratitude to V (and granted, it happens after you help him multiple times, so character development is happening), but right after the concert I'm pretty sure Kerry doesn't have a finished song. He wants to share that material with Johnny because he trusts Johnny and wouldn't mind his input, too. He still sees Johnny as his best friend that he loves dearly.

In Phantom Liberty, when you ask Kerry about his album, he tells you that it's still too raw and he isn't ready. Even at the time of A Like Supreme, it's "You can come to the show" aka Kerry's way of saying, you can hear me singing and playing but only at the show. When I'm at my best. When I'm ready.

While what I'm sure would happen with Johnny is that Kerry would invite Johnny home/to the studio (which is often the same thing since I'm sure some things Kerry records at home) and share that raw material with him (and they could create the music together).

Johnny tells Kerry that he "won't play without you, wouldn't be the same". Kerry answers, "I see what you're doing here, but I'm still plannin' on playing."

Which is yeah, Johnny wants in, but there's a reason he didn't let Kerry leave the band. He knew he needed Kerry. So it's quite mutual, actually, even though Kerry established his solo and is quite confident in it after that:

He's relieved he no longer has this burden of waiting for Johnny, of expecting him to come back and feel like he's walking on a knife's edge while on that; of proving himself to the crowd and to Johnny when Johnny does come back. Which doesn't mean he wouldn't want to share his love for music with Johnny again.

Their relationship is complicated. They and their love for each other is deeply rooted in them & they'll always be a part of each other's lives.

And while I'm on A Like Supreme, boyfriends' guns next to each other:

Both loved Samurai very much. Both can't live without music. Both are very similar. Both, in some way, are still best friends.

Though I find it funny that Kerry's gun costs more. There's no way to get both at the same time, and to me it looks like a pointer into Kerry's expensive attitude. Money's never an issue while one of the first commentaries that Johnny makes upon entering Kerry's villa is "Hope it was expensive at least."

Your best friend did fine, Johnny, and all without you. And all while waiting for you to come back and missing you. And all while thinking about you every single day ever since you "disappeared".

UPD: Also, when you read Kerry's messages on his laptops, he offers his ex to choose a trip with the kids and for him to pay for her trip. I'm not exactly set on what I think about that—whether he doesn't want to spend time with his children or his ex makes him THAT uncomfortable so that he offers a "bribe". You do that, I'll pay. The same goes for his car and the Samurai-like painting—money is not an issue, just don't try to screw me over.

Plus, when in PL ending V wakes up from a 2 year coma, the first thing Kerry offers is eddies. I don't know, but the topic of money is threaded in him and in the things he owns. Including, obviously, the gun that he owns and very generously gifts to V like it's nothing (because, for him, it kind of is. He can always make a replica if he need to.)

My boss, after reading the RFP I wrote last week: oh but I didn't think the history section explained the use case well enough [well you didn't give me any info so I was going based on what I could piece together], your appendix didn't include xyz fields [YOU DIDNT TELL ME THEY EXISTED AND I HAD NO WAY TO FIND THAT OUT SINCE y'all aren't even following BASIC RM principles when it's not convenient], what about xyz problem [ITS IN THE FUTURE STATE REQUIREMENTS. DID U NOT FUCKIN READ THEM. THEYRE IN BRIGHT RED FOR A REASON], your questions for the vendor seem too vague, we need specifics and answers in 2 weeks [specifics in what sense??? You haven't laid out a plan for this!!! It's not MY FAULT y'all decided to engage a vendor BEFORE doing an RFP or even OUTLINING THE BARE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR YOUR PROPOSED SOLUTION. Like ofc it's gonna be weird and clunky YOURE DOING THE WHOLE PROCESS BACKWARDS. AND THE MFING COMMITTEE CANT GIVE ME A SINGLE ANSWER SO IM PULLING FUNCTIONAL REQUIREMENTS OUT OF MY ASS]

NOTABLY she did not comment on the requirements section. Y'know. The actual core and central purpose of this document. The IT guy?? On the other hand??? I asked him for a second pair of eyes on the technical requirements (BC unlike SOME people I know my fuckin limits and I'm primarily a records manager not a database designer) and he was like oh no it looks great you nailed it and it's exactly the type of document they should be using.

So like. One of the only other ppl in the building who knows what they're talking about agrees with me. He however has the ability and a legitimate reason to recuse himself from this whole shitshow. *I* do not.

I feel so cheated sometimes bc I fucking hate the taste and smell of meat (I categorize seafood as meat too) and beans

I'm Mexican-American

My Mexican mother is considered the best in the family for Mexican cuisine, everyone loves her food and I can't eat most of it

I can't eat it or smell it without wanting to gag (I don't, but I need to leave after a while to get a break)

Mexican food is considered one of the best food cultures in the world, my mother was born and raised in Jalisco and brought all the recipes she learned from her mother with her

I grew up on fast food and faster/easier recipes because she needed to put more time and effort into cooking for the rest of the family

I also grew up in Los Angeles, one of the best places in the US for authentic Mexican food. We'd go to Mexican restaurants when she didn't feel like cooking (and on one memorable occasion, a house/restaurant that was recommended to my parents at church lol), and if not Mexican restaurants, then some fast food place or seafood buffets. I stopped going out to eat with family often in my teens bc it wasn't worth taking me. I also remember being judged and just hated the experience and would make up excuses to not go

I don't know, I was on my tiktok fyp and I kept getting a lot of stuff about Mexican food and I just hate being reminded of my fucking defects so much. I didn't choose to utterly despise meat and beans and I feel so left out of my own culture. If I could eat it, I would, but I can't.

My siblings grew up on all of these amazing foods, and I grew up right alongside them, eating something else.

#at least i'll always have my taquitos de queso and tostadas con col #and my fruit or vegetable salads with lime and tajin (chamoy optional)#one time i was making myself a tofu stirfry and my uncle made a joke about how i should have been born asian #bc i love tofu and i make the occasional asian dish #and while it didn't really bother me at the moment. it just makes up one part of the collective memory in my life of food trauma #it sounds a bit extreme but i think it is a bit. i have issues with food and sometimes guard my food a bit too much bc it's mine!#you can eat whatever the fuck you want don't fucking take my food away from me!#y'know?#still thinking about that time all of the only cheese pizza was eaten and all was left was pepperoni and supreme #i almost cried #anyway just venting ig this got away from me #i will never shut up about my fucked up relationship with food and eating in front of people even family #hasan't #personal #like actually personal not just my usual personal tag #venting #self pity #mexican food #i lowkey get triggered by people who say the best way to experience culture is through food and then it's just a list of food with meat #i can't #just...i need to start eating indian food fr fr

hi another ygo & kh fan here, also going insane about that art and the parallels... you made me realize its been WAY too long since i last rewatched ygo ghhjgf

I finally decided to try out obey me and I instantly got hooked and have been playing obsessively for like the past week but I've finally hit a hard wall at like chapter 10 and yeah nothing to possibly do about it except incredibly slowly level up my cards so that sucks I feel like it's gonna take a long while before I can play main story again

#obey me #i mean i was expectinf to hit a wall p soon bc f2p gachas always do that #let you play practically endlessly for a while to hard gate you suddenly so youll spend money #but did suck to actually happen #gacha games burn in hell btw ☺️#the bigger problem imo is cards level so absurdly slowly #like 1 levelup from even as low as 20-21 takes a metric fuckton of spamming battles bc yoj literally only get 200-320 xp per battle #oh and the helpful quicj clear thing? nope doesnt lvl cards just your player lvl #was super loving pjsekai bc they didnt do that shit your cards level at such a perfect rate per song imo #yeah tho i literally refuse to gamble bc i know i always lose so it really does suck seeing all these good games be gachas #like id supremely prefer to spend 60$ on tbese gachas like obey me and pjsekai but fuck me i guess

And I like thinking of Yukine and Inigo together #How the relationship between Yato and Yukine differs from Dism + Archie and Inigo. And the ways they are the same #Why Yukine can deflect and take the name Hagusa (who’s meaning also gives me thoughts and feelings)#And how my own hand-crafted blorbo could never do such a thing at all #And the ways circumstance comes into play. Stubborn loyalty and recklessness. Obligation (and lack thereof)#Their designs too. Inigo’s got a body harness sutured up to his neck but Yukine dresses softly and warmly #Which btw I headcanon yuki does that because of the way he died #He always feels a bit of a chill y’know. Being stuffed in a refrigerator and all. Perpetually cold soul :(#But circling to the point how their clothes change over time. How minty’s clothes come to resemble his store-bought half by the end of YHNN #It fulfills me so much 🥺💖 God the manga is going to kill me

people really like me at work because im quick, thorough, and pretty upbeat even though i have to put up with a lot of shit. what they don't know is that 60% of my day is spent just going [kasey will remember that] to myself

LOFL!!!!!!!!#so that one im actually going to Remember because what the fuck man. why would you lie to me about that. if you're not gonna help just say #that. but when he didn't show after saying that i literally lost it in the fucking walk-in. im always getting fucked over at work man
