i know the hunger games isnt about romance i know it isnt a love story but. theres just something so beautiful in the way peeta is the personification of what it means to heal and he /is/ the dandelion and the bread and the hope that things can be better even if they wont be fixed. even if the nightmares dont stop he will still hold her. wake her up and tell her shes alive. shes safe. and when its over and done and theres no more saving or protecting or trying their absolute hardest to die if it means keeping the other alive, the horrors dont stop. but katniss will still find that comfort in peetas arms.

You think that now Branch is back doing his boyband thing this results in him getting a lot of admirers and fangirls fawning over him, resulting in Poppy getting jealous.
Like, she's his #1 fan and no one else can take that away from her. She'll fight any girl in the crowd who dares try to claim they love Branch more than her. She brings an “I <3 Branch” sign to all his concerts to not only support her bf, but to also beat her competition with it.
Meanwhile Branch is on stage performing only focused on his gf, wanting to impress her with every song he sings dedicated to her, unaware of everything else going on cause he’s so in love with her that he doesn’t notice other girls gawking him.

if the theory of sam reich being replaced by .. evil wizard dalton reich (and i cant believe i am partaking in this discurse) is true..
i've seen some people asking the question about what those childhood tapes mean. Well i am one of the ancient ones that owned vhs tapes and you know you could replace whats stored on those tapes with overwriting it with new material but it would slowly degrade the quality as the magnetic tape the information is stored on isn't necessarly made to be re-recorded on indefinetly which would also explain the degrading quality of the gamechanger episode.
So my theory is that dalton reich wants to erase sam from history and to do this he is slowly erasing any proof that could hint on sam and dalton being two different people. One thing he appearantly needed to do is overwrite these old vhs tapes of sams childhood.

idk who needs to hear this right now but constantly being so very sorry and feeling so very guilty over your existence as part of a privileged group is not activism and you're not a bad person for not being constantly miserable

more rambling about a s5 au: lindsey comes back for a redemption arc to act as legal counsel for angel's team. this ostensibly gives gunn a reason to opt out of the lawyer operation, but he does it anyway because he doesn't trust lindsey not to fuck them over.
lindsey acts as a moral foil to gunn, who comes to believe his necessary contribution to the team (since he's no longer their only lawyer) is being the defender of the group's principles while working at w&h. they frequently butt heads while working on a case, but eventually develop a begrudging respect of each other's respective strengths.
this hostile-to-friendly-rivalry arc is tested when it comes out that w&h was responsible for some demon problem that's been plaguing gunn's home community. gunn has, unbeknownst to himself, been somehow contributing to it while working at w&h; lindsey knowingly contributed to it when he was last working there as a lawyer. lindsey is forced to confront who he was, while gunn is forced to confront who he’s becoming.
since he was involved in the project, lindsey uses his insider knowledge to help come up with a plan to fix the problem. they execute it, something goes wrong, and lindsey risks his life to ensure the plan goes off successfully. he expects congratulations and a pat on the back from gunn, but gunn isn't interested in absolving lindsey's sins (or his own), and their warming relationship freezes over.
at some point, gunn lets himself get taken by the senior partners in an effort to deal with his guilt over various lapses in judgment/perceived moral failures. during their rescue mission to the holding dimension, lindsey stays behind in gunn's place so he can escape, assuring gunn that he's the lawyer the team needs right now. their mutual arcs culminate in lindsey rejecting the idea that redemption is done for recognition, and gunn rejecting the idea that guilt/self-punishment is inherently redemptive.
eventually after being busted out by illyria, lindsey is there to empathize with gunn about losing parts of yourself (body, mind, and/or soul) to w&h, relationships to power when you've grown up without it, and what it means to live with the consequences of your actions. both of them reflect on the nature of redemption/forgiveness/intent as they grapple with how to own up to an appropriate share of the blame.

[chemistry] it's not a word that actors [use]. but you must endeavor a little bit to try and fall in love, in whatever that capacity is. and andrew is a very easy person to fall in love with. he's kind, generous, talented. we shot the film at the perfect junction in our friendship where there was a lot we didn't know about each other, but there was mutual admiration and respect. and a similar sense of humor. (...) yeah, it felt fizzy when we were acting. especially with that first scene at the door -- it's so well-written. you feel like you're dancing through the scene, you can go in loads of different ways, and if i went one way, andrew would go another. if that's what chemistry is, i was aware it was happening.

I think many people online (especially exclusionists) make it seem as if the lgbtqia+ community is going to come to your house and interrogate you to ask you +1000 questions to confirm you really are a _insert queer identity_ when you decide to use that label. I know it sounds like an exaggeration but many people do believe this is like something you have to be approved of. let me remind you today: you don't need anyone's permission to use a specific label! If you feel like X label fits you: GO AHEAD AND EMBRACE IT! maybe more than one label feel like you: PERFECT! use as many as you want. no labels feel right and queer is enough for now? ASTOUNDING! I promise you, you are more than welcome to use any, all and no labels. No one can decide what suits you better. Only yourself! This has been a psa...

Shape do you ever think about soulfire and layers and the cold. I do... I do...
I didnt before but i sure am now!!
I was talking to someone irl a few days ago and they mentioned a headcanon where soulfire didn't have any winter clothes when they spawned in, but. they did have a lot of corpses with old, stained clothes. can you imagine? stripping the corpse of yourself to add just a few more seconds between yourself and the next respawn? caught in another death loop at that godforsaken spawn, and grateful for the fact that at least it means you'll be warmer, just a little. Imagine them all wrapped up in parts of bad's cloak- theyre hunted for the ferocity of their guard dog, but even his failures keep them warm. and now bad wears his snowgear as a cosmetic, marking him as one of theirs just as much as they are his.
and the armour... ohh, their armour. layers for warmth and layers for protection are different- I think at a certain point they dont need the warm layers, not the way they used to. but there is something in them that still equates warmth with protection. theres something about them building all of their armour sets underneath a lake of lava. willing to enchant their sets in safety, while molten rock drips slowly onto them from the ceiling above. they dont need their armour to stay warm, because their home will keep them warm for them.
and then the agreement to use no enchantments. their protection, their warmth- thrown away so quickly, almost eagerly. after all, soulfire knows how to handle the cold- and maybe some of them even miss it

I've been turning over in my mind the scene where Nasuada yells at Murtagh to fight against Galbatorix, the way she sees him and how she confronts him. It reveals this fundamental misunderstanding of who he is. And I just think it's so sad. For Murtagh, the people he loves are what matter most to him, and in the case of Nasuada and Eragon specifically, he cares so very much about them that he consistently does everything in his power to help them. And they in return put such pitifully little effort into understanding him and caring about him. It's not that they've proven incapable, it's that, to them, Murtagh isn't worth even the effort of trying. It's so fucking sad.
