Now, these are the only ones I'll be sharing because yk so enjoy:

Brystal Evergreen

– She's bisexual :))

– Her wand reminds her a lot of Madame Weatherberry. (Don't tell me Brystal didn't see her as a mother figure.)

– Bubbles are very connected to her childhood, it's like an important symbol to her.

– She’s a sentimental person. The small little gifts her friends make for her are kept in a special area and she makes sure they're kept safe.

(A couple of these headcannons are from other folks but yk.)

Lucy Goose

– She definitely likes theatre and musicals. She's memorized the entire lyrics to all of her favorite musicals.

– She just yells extremely random words (or just screams) whenever she feels like it (which is a lot) because it's funny to her.

– She’s a heavy sleeper. If by any chance her friends were unfortunate enough to sleep next to her, they’d either fall off the bed or get their blanket yanked away from them.

– She’s also the type of person to fall off her bed (or hammock) and still be asleep, maybe even the person who sleeps through earthquakes and stuff.

–Occasionally, she bonks people in the head with a tuba to "knock some sense into them". Her friends may be against it, but according to her, it works.

Emerelda Stone

– She’s nearsighted and actually has a pair of emerald framed glasses with her, though most of the time she wears contacts instead.

Xanthous Hayfield (can't find yellow 😭)

– Whenever he's lost in thought, he'll pace around.

– He has a pet cat! Lucy is the one who gave it to him.

– He likes flowers too! He often gives little flower crowns and metal dolls as gifts to his friends because he’s wholesome, except they aren’t that well-made at all. They’d have to put an enchantment on it to keep it from breaking. (They still appreciate the gesture though.)

– He really likes small critters like squirrels, frogs, lizards, bunnies, and mice.

Tangerina Turkin

– If angered (and she can get angered very easily), she will do absolutely anything to show her anger to them. She’s a very petty person.

– She's that person who's like "oh, you made that? 😒" then proceed to treasure it forever.

Skylene Lavenders

– Her favorite animal is a duck. I’m not going to explain. It’s just duck.

– The floor/pool in her room is decorated to look like a really nice aquarium. She has plenty of small fishes who live there that she keeps as pets. They all have names and stories too.

– She has a “little” pet shark that also lives in her room and it’s surprisingly very friendly. She just hangs out with him whenever she’s bored.

– She’s a crafty person, not the most skilled, but it’s something. She likes messing around with glue, colors, sticks, strings, and glitter, making a DIY craft for each of her friends and fishes.

– She has a large stuffed animal collection that she and Xanthous are building together.

– She usually goes and excitedly talks or rants about something to (mainly) Tangerina even though she knows or has heard about it already.

Elrik Elderwood

– He likes to carry Xanthous for fun sometimes, akin to how he did when they first met. He goes into the room and just picks him up because he can.

– He does some trolling with Lucy from time to time, mainly to the demons and the Fairy Council.

General

– They made little rainbow friendship bracelets for all of them to wear. Even during and after the events of The Land of Stories series, they still have those bracelets and wear them all the time.

– They all have a book-reading sleepover in Brystal’s room every weekend.

– The Fairy Council have a special little place in the woods somewhere near the academy where they unwind and de-stress whenever they're overwhelmed. (They still do this in TLOS.)

i see all of your "beatrice reading in bed with ava tucked in her arms, ava staring at bea like she hung the stars in the sky" headcannons and i raise you:

bea never had the choice to discover a love for learning, it was always something she was expected to do. she reads all those thick books because she thought that it was the only way to earn her parent's love. once she came to the ocs, she threw herself into research because beatrice has always known that reading was a means to an end. she doesn't read to calm her mind, she reads so that she is seen as better, as worthy.

ava, on the other hand, made a hamlet reference and has a poster of george orwell's 1984 hanging in her bedroom. she loves to read, and she grew up with people reading books to her. she fell in love with these stories that rewrote the world. they were a place of refuge, where ava's life could be something it wasn't.

(the thing about the hamlet reference is that it was directed to the other girl, even if she was looking at bea. she wanted to look at bea, so she did. bea knows ava loves to read.)

ava was the one that dragged bea to the library the first week there, even when bea said "there won't be anything of use there, ava. there's no point in looking."

bea is perusing the religious section of the library, looking for something to help them in the fight, when she feels a book drop into her hands and then another. the stack of books in her hands grows, ranging from a tale of two cities and one of the magic tree house books. by the time ava stops adding to the pile, the stack threatens to cut off beatrice's eyesight.

"This everything?"

"Yup."

"Alright, then."

when ava starts reading aloud in their apartment, her sweet honey voice filling the cracks in the walls, bea decides that lugging 17 books home was worth it. there was a lightness in her eyes that bea hadn't seen since the vatican and her energy seemed to settle, blanketing everything in a warm comfort. it was beautiful, angelic even. maybe she could give books another chance, if they made ava smile like that.

this was a long winded way of saying ava definitely read books aloud while bea cooked in the kitchen.

Cacao:

- Another ally is always welcome in his books.

- he will however request that you try to not fly around on your website in his kingdom, he already has to deal with snow.

- he thinks your skillet is very interesting, he had to hone his skill to be able to anticipate attacks, but for you it’s natural!

- When you come in front the ceiling upside he freaks out a little worried that you might hit your head. He’s still got those fatherly instincts.

- I feel like if you picked him up, he’s kinda just have this face of utter terror. I mean he’s a large guy, and you’re like. A normal cookie, how the hell can you pick him up???

- overall he’s pretty neutral to you, he’s kind sure but he more want to see what you can do in the field!

HollyBerry:

- Holly thinks it’s very cool!

- a new hero to fight against dark enchantress cookie! How wonderful!

- will ask if you can carry her around!

- and then will carry you around.

- you know that one captain America and spider man thing? Where he catches caps shield, yeah that’s totally how you two met.

- Holly is happy to call you a close friend!

- Very grandmotherly towards you! She’ll make you your favorite meal, and tell you tales of when she was out adventuring with her friends, or pitaya dragon cookie!

Pure vanilla:

- he worries a lot, you flying around?? What do you get hurt??

- he’ll heal any of your wounds! Be it from a fight or mising a web on a building!

- His kingdom is 100% one of the most fun to swing around in!

- he loves that such a young person can be such an amazing hero! He’s very proud of you!

- even though he’s happy you’re a hero, he will try to keep you away from the front lines! He doesn’t want you to get hurt, or worse, crumble.

- very worried grandpa.

Golden cheese:

- she is more then willing to invite you to her golden kingdom, a young hero to stop any people who disturb the peace? Perfect! Then bring cheese can just focus on the gates.

- would definitely want to try and deck you out with new gear, new web shooter, and gadgets.

- she’d start to count you as one of her treasures! You help protect people along side burnt cheese! How noble!

- will try and add gold to your suit.

- you and her totally swing/fly around together.

- she’d try and teach you mid air tricks! I mean you must be flashy! A good hero can always let people know who they are just by their look!

- basically like Tony and Peter Parker

White lily:

- she wants to know how your body can produce the webs.

- sure some cookies have magic, but most of them learned! Or have a type of soul jam! But you? You got bit by something and then suddenly have powers?? How??

- will ask specimens of your webs.

- white lily is normally a quiet cookie, but when it comes to the science of cookies, be prepared for hundreds, of thousands of questions.

Bonus round!!

Dark enchantress cookie:

- a new cookie to cause issue in her plans?

- when she sees your spiddy sense working she starts trying to find a way to get around it.

- maybe pomegranate can cast something.

- licorice could maybe overwhelm you with licorice beasts?

- No no that won’t work…she’ll find out something. Soon enough.

Shadow milk:

- oh a little spider!

- soon to be caught in his web!

- he will mock you as you fight

spinning a tale of them only wishing to frighten you so that your purchase their protection charms, and if you wanted to buy one after that, you needn't worry

of course they are all fake, just pretty jewelry for a pretty face, and when they don't work as you venture out, their advice is clear as day

headcannons about chip, christianity in mana, his internalised homophobia and its relationship with his repressed fire powers :

in mana, christianity is the religion of the outcasts, most people worship aster and/or lunadeis, but pirates, criminals and the lower class in general adds another “god” to the pantheon : jesus, as he was portrayed in the bible, a human with divine links to a god unknown who took care of the unfortunate, poor and marginalized. his tales are mostly relayed through oral tradition, so depending on where you are, his teachings and worships changes a lot. in most cases, jesus and his unknown god is just an addition to the already existing pantheon of gods and leviathans of mana, and not the only true god. some people with bad intentions sometimes twists his teachings to fit their worldview and influence others, but they pretty much never have enough systemic power to change much outside of their inner circles.

when chip was a kid living on the streets, he was way too worried about his survival to think about love, and all the other kids (of all genders) that hed find cute were always much more higher class than him anyways. his powers were pretty weak, tho still wildly uncontrolled. it just felt like the small flames that kept appearing around him liked him and wanted to help him rather than him having any control over them. he sometimes heard whispers of jesus and his teachings, but didnt really understand what it was and didnt really care.

when the black rose took him on, most people on the crew were christians, tho in a old sailor way. tales of jesus mixed with those of ancient sea beasts would flourish on the deck of the black rose, and the lessons he learned from them were about hope, about universal love, about helping those in needs. about getting your hands dirty through work and knowing youd get to heaven, while those high class corrupt rulers, bourgeois and officers would rot in hell for what theyd done to your world. chips fire magic, while still uncontrolled, grew and took on a life of his own, tho itd usually cower away in times of distress, much to chips dismay. for his bisexuality, chip was much more concerned about his life on the ship, and didnt care for love during that time.

when the hole in the sea happened, chip was too stressed out and his powers did nothing. thats when he decided that he needed to harness them, to train himself to actually control them so that maybe he could help of something like this happened again.

so when price found chip, he was prime for being manipulated into the mafia. he was lonely, lost everything he add, needed guidance, needed someone to train him and.. also had a crush on price. for the first time, he felt obsession, something that again, he couldnt control, that he needed to harness, to tame. the mafias christianity was much more strict than the black roses, and tried more to extrapolate the values of jesus’s unknown god than to follow him as an example. since romance was nothing but a distraction/weakness, the crew was mostly male-dominated and that femininity was seen as weak and, homosexuality as feminine, love, especially male homosexuality, was very frowned upon, and considered as a sin. emotional volatility, and thus, the uncontrollability of chips power are too. price did return chip’s advances sometimes, but only for the purposes of manipulating him into being even more loyal to the gang. there, price trained him to shackle both his fire powers and his desires, to keep the good parts ( power / social status that male heterosexuality gives ), but to annihilate the bad parts ( wildness / vulnerability of emotional connections and social nonconformity / bisexuality ). the fact that he is a bastard also plays into this, since he now is conditioned to believe that the fact that hes alive in itself is sinful ; thus, he needs to be perfect to repay for his original sin. when everything breaks, that price asks him to kill a man and that he flees, is whole world is shaken apart and his trauma of losing everything once before resurfaces. his emotions and powers were taken advantage of, and his trauma response is to simply lock away both the good and the bad inside of himself, after feeling their full intensity one last time ( the heartbreak of seeing prices manipulation, loving him anyways and being deeply afraid of that / letting the wildness of his fire engulf the mafia headquarters ). even most of his memories of it are locked away.

with the crew of the albatross, he slowly unlearns the values burned into him by price and his crew. he sees people who are like him, who love him, tho it takes a very long time to internalize that they aren’t just with him for his usefulness, that his sin is just as inconsequential as theirs. he tries his hands as doing as he did before, flirting with women (that hes genuinely attracted to) for social status, but his fear leaves him stunted and awkward. same with his powers, when he finally learns again to use them, is it very controlled, and thus weaker. he doesnt trust himself with the “bad” parts of his identity, hes barely able to control the “good” ones. when gillion kisses him, he, for a moment, lets himself go, lets his obsession breathe and exist, but as soon as the moment is over, he put his guard up tenfold. it takes a LOT of time to him to figure out how he feels for gillion, but once he does, he feels like atlas, holding of his shoulder the gravity of his sin. he does not tell anyone for months, view his feelings and himself as dirty, as something that should be kept hidden, especially since gillion is someone of much higher class and with a much greater destiny than him. he rushes into broom closets to have panic attacks after particularly intimate combat training, writes letters and poems that he keeps under a floorboard. he fully knows that jay is also bisexual, but in his head, its different if two women are together, since thats not ever something that was talked about at all with prices gang ( there were barely any women ). he also fully knows that gillion is asexual, and in his head, that proves gillions inherent superiority, since he is less vulnerable to being led astray by his desires. also, chip is much too caught up in his own shit to care what other people do.

Xanrik headcanons mayhaps?

Elrik and Xanthous like to send each other letters every day whenever the other is away. They keep each letter they received from the other in a special drawer to store it safely or to read them again later (whether they're stressed/in a bad mood or just missing one another and can't visit at the moment.)

More monkeys, because I said so.

People know Sun Wukong as the Monkey King, a relatively impressive title that feels like there's a story behind it, and there is.... kind of.

You see, Wukong, back then just Shihou (Stone Monkey) was chilling with his monkey friends and they all decided to follow their river up to a waterfall and they said that whoever went in first would be king. Shihou went in first, so they made him king. Not very impressive, is it? This is compounded by the fact that it's never explained WHY the monkeys did this, and why going into the waterfall was important or impressive enough to make whoever did it their king. However, with our creative licenses in hand, we can turn this meh story into an epic tale worthy of the Monkey King!

Yesterday we discussed the idea of Wukong living during the reign of two rulers of the cosmos, first Di Jun and then the Jade Emperor. Couple that with the headcannon I had that the reason Di Jun stepped down from the throne was because of the fiasco with the 10 suns, and that means that those suckers were in the sky causing problems during Wukong's lifetime.

I've never really gone into detail about what the 10 suns partying did to the ground, mostly because it was implied, but I'm gonna be a bit more specific here because it's relevant. You see, having 10 suns meant everything was 10 times as bright, 10 times as hot, and always miserable. Crops withered, people died, and rivers and lakes dried up. This happened everywhere, including Flower Fruit Mountain (Monkey's home), so one can assume that the monkeys there wouldn't be too happy about it and want to find a way to not die in the sun and heat. Perhaps after their favorite river dried up, someone suggested following it to the source and see if there was water there. Perhaps someone led these thirsty and dying monkeys to a big, magical waterfall near the top of the mountain that still gushed with water in spite of the heat of the suns. Perhaps, with most monkeys too weak from heat exhaustion and dehydration, they were hesitant to jump through this massive waterfall to find out what was on the other side, and decided whoever was brave enough to do so and save their people should be made their king. Perhaps the only one brave and strong enough was the Stone Monkey, Sun Wukong.

He bursts through the waterfall, finds a cool cave with food and water inside, and parts the waters for the other monkeys to get in and rest their weary bodies. The other monkeys are so grateful to him that they stay true to their word and make him their king in return for saving all their lives from the horror of the 10 suns.

See? Isn't that better? An epic tale where Wukong goes against the odds to save his tribe in the face of peril! A lot more compelling than the monkeys just randomly deciding to go up to a waterfall and say whoever jumps in first gets to be the king, isn’t it?

She is no nonsense in the way that Mary Poppins is no nonsense

No nonsense about important things (medicine, bedtimes, your safety) but all the nonsense about play and fun

She is very good at making her little feel very important and makes sure to include them in plan making

("What do you want to do today, bug?" "How do you feel about *insert plan*?" "Would you like to go to *insert fun place*?")

She is usually teeming with ideas for fun activities you both can do together, but she also knows how to help her little calm down and unwind

She's very big on bedtime routines and sticking to them

They're a big source of comfort for both her and her little, and she wants to make sure they both get that comfort

She makes up a lot of stories for her little, ranging from tales of knights and splendor to nonsensical magic fables

Her little always has the most wonderful dreams

She uses a lot of nicknames, her favorites being Starshine, Bug, Love, and Duckling

She's also very good at making up games to play, usually by putting a spin on another game (blindfolded hide and seek, spin tag, duck duck beast, and many more)

She always makes sure that her little is being safe while having fun, as well as communicating when something is difficult for them to do

She knows how hard it can be to communicate when regressed, so she makes sure to give them lots of options

She will also give them mini history lessons all the time about anything they like

They could ask her about the history of Geese populations throughout the world and she would research so she could tell them fun facts

Really she just loves making sure that they are loved, safe, and happy at the end of the day :))

I just wanted to stop on by and ask some questions on your lovely and creative world building!!

My main thought was how you stated that skin taker is dead, yet in some way still alive? Is it an abysmal thing? Like you can’t fully kill one until they are due to die?

Also I love hearing your headcannons! And would love to hear more of your ideas on abysmals and maybe even how the puppets function, say like if something cut there string?

First of all, AWAWAWAWWAWAA thank you!!! I'm glad you like my silly puppet thoughts.

Second of all *points to Skin-taker* I have no clue what the hell that thing is!

I do definitely think he's dead and thats that. I feel the whole "abyssians can't actually die" deal may over complicate thing a bit, he's just undead yknow? Maybe because of necromancy shit but I like things better if it was vague and he was just... *gestures vaguley* like that.

You can kill an abyssian I think but it's really hard, and you'd have more luck banishing them back to the abyss (the realm the abyssal kingdom is found). I've had the idea that if an abyssian is banished from candle cove back to the abyss in their place will be a corked bottle with a spell that can summon them back, and holding onto it is like a curse cuz if you do you'll have the inexplicable urge to open it but also if you just abandon it you're leaving it for who knows to open and unleash.

I've considered that maybe on top of skinning him Poppy managed to banish whatever was left of Skin-taker and after the fight he was just NOT okay in any physical mental or emotional way, so he just threw the bottle out into the ocean and later on Horace was the one to find it. I kinda like and dislike this cuz it gives more distinction between necromancy and summoning as different types of magic, but also I feel candle cove should be kind of.....idk empty? Vague? I feel really detailed and complex world building and lore could disrupt the creepy, liminal, twisted childrens tale vibe it's got going on. But yknow it's still fun to think about.

I don't have any in depth thoughts on how the puppets function and their anatomy or anything, I just really really like the idea of throughout the series them being....surprisingly organic in a lot of ways and it's just never explained and you're left there just wondering "Why can they hear a heartbeat while in the bowels of the ship?" "Why is the sound of crunching bones coming from that plush doll?" "Why can they bleed?" Idk I just like leaving some things up for the imagination.

As for their strings I actually do have a headcannon about them! Only the characters on the show who become aware of the audience somehow can see their strings, but don't necessarily have the power to cut them. Skin-taker can see his and, at least appears not to or is too far gone to mind. He fidgets with them a lot actually, like a kid messing with their shoelace.

Red Mary and Gorger (ManBearPig) are the only characters who can see and also interact with everyone elses strings. Gorger, because as Grimmes sort of insert of himself, is the most aware of the nature of candle cove as a TV show and actually plays a role in keeping things in line, keeping the story going how it's supposed to. I assume if someones strings get cut it's like cutting an unnessecary character from a story. Any trace of them is wiped from the world and just their husk is left. There's a lot of limp, lifeless puppet and doll bodies scattered throughout Gorgers cave. *points to Mary* She's just a terrifying fucking freak. She's burnt her strings she says, and remains despite it.

A universe where everyone in the kids next door universe are My Little Pony ponies/creatures, also alot of the characters don't have human names and instead go by more Equestrian sounding names.

Also this universe still has stuff like human technology like cars, the internet, space travel and stuff. 2x4 technology is the same tho there are special trained magic user operatives in the FND, Celestia and Luna or any Equestrian legends are seen as just fairy tales but they have some hints of truth to them.

Celestia and Luna were FND alicorn operatives that fought against evil adult's together back in the midieval times, like with Numbuh Zero, some believe they existed while others say they were just myths.

Comes from a long line of umbrum which is why he and his Dad don't have cutie marks.

Mom is a dragon named Ruby.

Dad is a earth pony(umbrum).

Doesn't have rocket boots like his human counterpart, just uses his wings instead.

Like Scootaloo,he has trouble flying with his wings so me makes jetpacks and jets for himself so he can enjoy the rush of flight.

Has a special 2x4 tech weapon that shoots horse shoes.

Her special attack is blasting rainbow blast from her horn, she's the magic expert of her Sector as she loves finding/making spells for Numbuh Five to use.

Got his cutie mark when he knocked out a whole group of teens with the throw on one dodge ball.

Main attack is a hindleg flipkick love called "The BuckFlip"

Her special talent is hunting for candy and being able to sense it.

Knows a few candy themed spells she learnt from Cree back when she was in basic training.

Is an Umbrum and comes from a long line of them.

real name is Brimstone Burner.

I've seen the 'Poet, King and Solider' test been going around on tiktok lately and I have so much to say about it.

If Arthur were to take the test he would outwardly say that he'd obviously be king, or if not, then Solider. But deep down, he wants to get poet, he wants the freedom and the creativity. It's bloody canonical that he wants to run away from his duties sometimes.

I have so many headcannons that Arthur, if given the chance, would have so many little and fun hobbies to indulge in, he would paint and draw, learn how to play the lute or lyre, have a passion of bird keeping, or write ridiculously soppy poetry.

Deep down he just wants to be free from the burdens of responsibility that he's been forced to have since a child. He wants to read the fairy tales he was never allowed to read as a kid. He wants to play hide and seek. Get caught doing silly things. Make mistakes.

But he couldn't, not as heir to the throne, not as Uther's son. Arthur was dealt with one of the worst hands in the entire series. If there wasn't the war against magic, if his father had never been a selfish prick, Arthur would have truly flourished and been a better person all around. But no, he was forced to grow up too young, see and understand death from the beginning, bear the responsibility of a kingdom he never asked for.

Arthur would get king and dream of being a poet.
