Ok ok so I had a quick thought and I really needed opinions, I wanna do artist alley at cons as soon as I get a tax registration and actually draw all the artwork and have stuff printed and manufactured, but I've really wanted to include Ninjago in my future con lineup (I'll be doing genshin, twisted wonderland, maybe some honkai star rail, and I'll sprinkle in a few extras and popular animes) BUT I've got Ninjago art that I actually really like that I think would look good as prints or buttons, I even wanna take as many photos from the show(my personal favorite, the photo of skylor Kai has hanging up in the destiny's bounty with a heart drawing around skylor) and redraw them and make a Ninjago photo collection, and I'm definitely still gonna do it for me and maybe print out the picture as actual photos to keep but I don't know if it'll sell or if anyone would actually be interested so that leads me to the point if anyone that goes to cons and all let me know if you would be interested or think that'd be an area of interest that maybe doesn't get sold often?? Just any(honest) feedback cause I don't have a large following on any of my art social medias, so I don't think I'd be able to sell any Ninjago merch I make online since nobody would see it but idk about conventions so any(please honest, my feelings won't be hurt if you tell me not a sjngle person would be interested in buying ninjago merch)feedback would be greatly appreciated

the Disaster duo (again)

Look at these 2 murderous idiots ! I really love how Nagisa came out, I feel like I actually managed to draw his vibe of "huh he'd look very cute if he wasn't the most terrifying creature on earth" I do think I could have improved more on Karma but hes still got his cocky smirk and that murderous intention in his eyes and thats all that matters.

So yeah, they fought, they made up and now theyre bandage buddies! (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و✧

Also thought I'd add that I'm happy cause this piece was kinda meant to be a redraw of my very first karma and nagisa drawing and I thought it turned out very well especially since I feel like it showed more of their actual personality/fighting style ((aka karma loving the thrill of the fight and unfazed by the pain while nagi is more calculated fighter whose just trying to find that killing blow))

PLEASE tell me about your Robin headcanons, I'm so curious now.

oh beans i didn't expect a response to my meme! (i mean, it has happened before but my answer was a bit undercooked) normally i'd say my headcanons are cringe and try not to talk about them but THIS TIME i am excited to indulge, mainly to have them written down on my art page :> this may end up being a long boy answer lol

(as a brief preamble, i've pretty much been building off of these robin headcanons since like, middle school or so (at least 5 years) for my smash fanfiction. while the amount of Stuff i've imagined for them might make them a bit different from their original characters, the context of awakening is what prevents me from turning them into full-on oc's)

anyway. i'm not responsible for any damages this may induce. the actual hcs will be under the cut

Both of them

so to start out, both the female and male variants are separate entities rather than like, alternate dimension counterparts. in fact, they're siblings (reeaally starting a bit out there i know). for reference, the girl (younger of the two) is named reflect (a misreading of the japanese name i grew attached to. it is what it is) while the boy is just robin. this is why i usually try drawing them with different clothes so they don't look like clones of each other lol. i like to think some aspects like the shirt and the black robe and tall brown boots are staples of the "tactician" uniform to explain any similarities.

neither have amnesia (since i just.. don't like the trope that much + i wanted to have them remember and reflect on their upbringing y'know). robin is actually a regular, normal blooded dude (which is why i don't really depict him in an evil grima-possessed form). reflect on the other hand did have grima's blood, which tipped off the grimleal in hopes to resurrect grima. however, much like the original awakening story, reflect's mama took her away out of fear of what the grimleal would do to her in pursuit of their goals. due to circumstances that i haven't fully figured out yet, robin was left behind and was raised by daddy dearest validar. reflect was raised by her mama and unaware of the grimleal or that she even had a brother/father at all.

a fairly old but still good ref of their differences. i definitely took a lot of liberties with reflect obviously (i REALLLLY like robin's original design, main reason why i got so attached to the character, so i kept it pretty true to the original with some details i dont like redrawing sanded off). a lot of design elements developed over the years and came from various sources.

(strap thingies on the side were based on cipher art, stockings are based on heroes art of f!morgan, cloak is partially inspired by the grandmaster design (albeit heavily simplified), shorts... i just thought looked cool, blah blah)

ok enough rambling, time to ramble about them individually

Robin

if it wasn't clear by how i'd often draw robin with a tired/exhausted look on his face, he isn't exactly the most high-energy guy :p he's jaded and sometimes a bit of an asshole to people he doesn't know. pretty unapproachable generally. i hope the fact he was raised by validar would explain why. i imagine validar was particularly bitter about the grima vessel slipping out of his grasp and took some of that out on his remaining child.

his strict upbringing helped him become very proficient in tactics and magic as expected... but also a bit reclusive and not much of a people person. he'd travel around after being sick of validar's shit, which is how he crosses paths with chrom. chrom basically takes him in and lets him work as a tactician for the shepherds, which is an act that causes robin to become very attached and loyal to chrom. i'd say he's an established member for a few years before the events of awakening.

he's kind of unathletic (very skinny bastard) and probably has redditor posture (inspired by how slow of a runner he is in smash bros). magic is much more his "asset" ;) his sword game is mid if he's not wielding the levin sword.

he remains single to the end of awakening's campaign, but historians note he was "really good friends" with chrom (he is attracted to men lol. specifically chrom. but then chrom gets married which complicates things 🥴).

Reflect

in comparison to her male counterpart, she's much more free-spirited and bubbly. she's chill and great at making friends, a bit more accurate to the original. she was also raised to be a tactician, though she is comparatively still a novice. still, she's a quick and enthusiastic learner. i also imagine her to be kind of a risky thrill-seeker.

when she leaves her small community to explore the world, she comes across the burning village in awakening's first chapter, which is how she crosses paths with chrom. she joins his gang to further her learning as a tactician and to make some friends yeeaa!! (i haven't written as much about her as i make mrobin 😛)

she later marries chrom and becomes the mother of lucina.

I sometimes draw her with red hair tied in a black bow-- that's related to some non-fe fanfic stuff that is too convoluted and cringe for this already lengthy and cringe post. but it's an alternate look for her i think is kind of cute 😊

hopefully that's a sufficient enough answer, my brain always gets really scattered whenever i have to elaborate my robin hcs to someone else. i get a bit self-concious about them because i think i'm so far off-base with their original characters (but can't oc-ify them with some elements being based in the world/story of awakening) that i'll become like. public enemy of the greater robin community. but i know that's a bit ridiculous, so i let loose here as a means to get these many thoughts somewhere on my art page as a reference for when i draw these fellas in the future :)

there's also the separate tangent of their offspring, the morgans (or morgan being the girl, and marc being the boy) but this post is long enough as is so i'll just leave it there :,)

Some Best Wishes HC of mine (mostly in relation with my coordinator!trip fanfic)

Hope you all are doing well!

So, over the years I've gotten quite the list of headcanons for Best Wishes (mostly for Trip because... I'm kind of a Trip simp and always have been). I'll try to write as many as I can think of in this post but first, thought I'd share some other art I made of Trip in another one of his possible coordinator outfits because I like to design those way too much.

Every day, I wake up, and I think about him. You just KNOW he was dragged all the way to the tailor by Georgia and Burgundy, complained the whole way through, and then looked absolutely stunning on stage. Now he's matching with his Serperior :)) (not exactly the proudest with this design, could be better, but hey I have all the time in the world to redraw if need be cause the brain rot ain't going away >:)))

Anyways! So here are some very quick hc of mine (mostly related to my fic and I'll add content as I go):

Bianca and Trip are childhood friends. Since Trip is quite inspired by Cheren (and Cheren in Best Wishes has seemingly no relationship with Bianca), I'm going to say that the two of them grew up together. However, Cheren and Bianca remained friends despite their very different personalities because of the presence of the MC so without them, I think Trip grew up to find Bianca obnoxious and distanced himself from her. She tries to rekindle friendship whenever she can but it's often returned with hostility. Her making it farther than him in the league and also her getting a job under Prof.Juniper right away makes him INCREDIBLY bitter.

Trip comes from a quite wealthy family (not exactly rich but high middle class) and his parents are not home often. He doesn't hear much at all from his mom but his dad does try to stay in contact. The two don't see eye to eye most of the time unfortunately. I think Trip tries often to call for their attention and contacted his father before the league to let him know to at least watch tv when he'll pass but he got eliminated before his dad could see him on air. F.

Georgia and Burgundy are 100% besties. Their relationship might have started as a bit rocky but after the Junior Cup, they both shared their numbers and started hanging out a lot. They don't exactly share the same interests and still like to make snide remarks at times, but they try out each other's hobbies (Burgundy drags Georgia to different expensive restaurants, Georgia goes to watch an action movie with Burgundy...) and in the end, they really grew to be extremely close. I like to think what really drew them together in the first place was their love of gossiping about their respective rivals.

I hc that Georgia became one of Brycen's students after the Junior Cup. What I mean by that is that she sought more understanding of ice types to become a greater Dragonbuster and asked Brycen to train her. He agreed and he mostly taught her martial arts in tough weather conditions. For this reason, whenever she joins Burgundy into Pokemon Contests, she wears her training outfit which is extremely similar to Brycen's outfit.

I haven't yet decided something: Trip wearing both a hoodie and a jacket. Either: -> The hoodie is sleeveless and thus it makes sense to wear a jacket on top -> Trip is always intensely cold and needs all those layers. -> It's a fashion statement. In any case it leads me to the following

Trip has a terrible sense of fashion. I'm sorry but what is that color scheme son. Like I love you Trip, but I cannot let that go. Burgundy will go through his wardrobe and faint. But not just that, he doesn't know how to arrange his clothes to make it look good. During his first contest, he wears a black very plain suit (that is totally not his size) and leaves the jacket open and the tie out. He literally has NO FORM, this makes him look like a s t i c k.

Burgundy always wanted to be a Pokemon Coordinator and only became a Pokemon Connoisseur out of spite. After the league passes and everything, while hanging out with Georgia, she might realize that she feels way happier now that she's not thinking about Cilan or continuing her studies as a Pokemon Connoisseur. She has no interest in going to school for more time so she was wondering what she wanted to do with her life. And then, lo and behold, she found some posters talking about Pokemon Contests being brought to Unova and this enighted something inside her that she believed to be long gone.

Alder was more of a father figure to Trip than his actual father ever was. Trip, very young, started watching Alder's fights on TV, never missing any matches, and meeting him was the highlight of his life. That's why he really hung onto the words Alder told him after all those years and also why he was so distraught to hear him misremember his name or just, outright, not remember what he told him. He hero worshipped him for years, putting him on a pedestal he obviously could never live up to.

Trip went to a school to learn as much as possible about Pokemons before starting his journey. I just feel like his "returning back to the basics" line is rooted somewhere and knowing how studious Cheren was (and how he went to literally build a gym/school for trainers) well it makes me come to this conclusion.

Burgundy saw what she saw in her flashback. Yes, I'm with Burgundy on that one and I think that no one would start an entire career on nothing. She genuinely was treated poorly by Cilan and his brothers and this hurt her quite poorly. Her resentment towards them is what fueled her to become snotty and arrogant in their presence and... well now that she's been away from them for a long time, she realized that she has become a way better person. Cilan really brings the worst out of her unfortunately. (I want to note I have nothing against these three, I just really like the theory that they're part of Team Plasma. They're cool :))

Trip is naturally short. Like I personally have hc ages for everyone to age them all up to be between 15 and 25 and Trip, even at 16, is around less than 165cm. Because we stan a short king.

Trip has no muscles whatsoever. This man does walk a bunch of course for his travels but unlike Ash, he never trains alongside his pokemons and I absolutely imagine him taking the train to go faster during his travels because he is w e a k. He has absolutely no stamina whatsoever and if he starts running, he'll start huffing and puffing in about ten seconds.

Alright! Those are all the ones I can think of off of the top of my head. I also wrote some time ago what I envisioned to be a "better" character arc for Trip to go through during the actual series but I'll put that in another post, this is already pretty long.

in like august or something i sent lorel a very rambly ask about blogverse. well im doing it again because it was such a big thing in my life and i loved it so much.

it is i, roleplayer of bv!shandy/shando, bv!digi/mercury, and the very first lorelcest ship kid; oleander. There's more, but those were the ones i remember clearly. to this day i regret deactivating those blogs, mostly due to all the lost memories. it brought me so much joy. looking back, it was definitely my hyperfixation at the time.

the summer of 2020 (holy shit almost 3 years ago) and i think early into the start of online school, i watched from the sidelines as blogverse grew. every day i watched my little people in the screen. I wasnt much younger but i was still a cringe little tumblr kid having a shit time in school. and then i realized that i could just join. i didnt need permission or anything, i could just make a blog from the get-go and become one of them.

and thats how blogverse shandy was born. my very first tumblr blog, and the one that made me stay. (actually, idk which of them was the first)

i'm still pissed at myself for clearing out my google drive because i used to still have the shitty pictures i drew on my computer of them, due to the fact my ipad was broken at the time. those shitty little pictures were what kept me interested in art (they didnt make me better, i was trash through and through, but they're what sparked my interest and led me to get better). i treasure the old fanart i find in their tags when i go through the ruins of blogverse.

They didn't really have a fleshed out personality or backstory. they were "weird and quirky" one moment, then straight up violent the next. this was mostly because i had no prior experience at actually fleshing out characters. though, i think their "wild card"ness somehow became their personality in the end. i was still some cringe little kid who thought i was a genius at writing because i had this little guy in my computer who lived in a void and had a cat and atattchment issues.

but holy shit i loved them. i used to think about them like a real flesh and blood person. i'd spend long nights roleplaying with others and long days talking to myself about my plans for them and then totally abandoning them moments later. i drew them poorly and decided i was a master of character design. they felt like a part of me.

i had no idea how tumblr worked but it was so much fun. bv digi, bv shandy, and oleander were 3 separate blogs because i didn't even know side blogs were a thing. bv shandy was deactivated several times due to minor issues that could've been fixed with the press of a button.

then came oleander, who i kind of had an idea for. they were a snotty little motherfricker who i absolutely adored being. it started as a joke and then it wasnt a joke anymore and they were a fully fledged character. i got bored quick though, and their blog went inactive soon. i hate their design to this day, and in the morning i'll probably redraw them.

there was also bv digi, whose entire personality was being a little weirdo who kidnapped ship kids at random just be-fucking-cause. they might've actually been the first blog i dont remember. anyway, they had the normalest design and the least art. i loved them with my whole fucking soul.

they made no sense and were generally shitty but that was the best thing to ever happen to me i think. bv introduced me to tumblr where i'd meet so many amazing people and see so many hilarious and sometimes eye-opening posts. it got me into art, writing, and roleplay, my 3 biggest hobbies to this day. it was a hyperfixation i leaned on to cope with the mild distress that just came with being alive and a dumb kid in 2020. my very first 'real' blog was made after bv's fall, and i met one of my longest mutuals bc she wrote a lorelcest fic.

I think back on it as the good old days, nostalgic even. Blogverse was my pride and joy, what i'd go do after a day of suffering in school or do when i retreated to my room. When it died so did my hyperfixation, but now looking back it meant so fucking much to me and was arguably my strongest interest and maybe even coping mechanism.

sure, it deprived me of sleep and sometimes food because i was so caught up with it, but it made me happy. all's well that ends well, right?

and i still am a dumb kid (Older Edition, yay), but even when i'm a dumb adult i'll never forget blogverse. BV was my pride and joy that summer. Thank you for being its accidental ringleader, and i know its wacky to say, but without bv i would be a different person.

I got further with Tiffany mayumi then I did with Elizabeth afton for sure I mostly only drew her because years ago when I was first starting out with art I made a lot of Fanart for Among us, Albertstuff/Flamingo., and Piggy as well as a few other things but that was mostly it and I do remember making a drawing although I don't have it anymore I remember making a drawing for Tiffany mayumi it wasn't that great looking back but I figured it wouldn't hurt to try and redraw Tiffany mayumi years later right? So I drew her lol she looks FABULOUS haha!

Elizabeth afton I wanted to try drawing because i also remembered making art for her in the past and I used to draw for FNAF especially when I was first starting out with art and I remembered making something that included Elizabeth afton in it which I actually still have in fact it's on my tumblr as my profile banner in order to make that I ended up drawing a lot of stuff individually on separate canvases and transferring the drawings onto just one canvas and it was based off a real roblox FNAF fangame I used to play a lot and goof off on and that's a joke based on a actual experience I had in the game at the time I didn't get far with Elizabeth because I wasn't sure the best way to do her hair to match her cannon design I tried my best and ended up with that I was a little disappointed cause it just wasn't Elizabeth but I still thought the progress was beautiful and her hair was nice

The other drawings are of Connie a oc of mine and a random girl I made while I was testing some shading and trying out a potentially new artstyle she has no name unlike connie however I feel like if I did have to name her I wanna call her maybe Anna? Annabelle? hmm I'm not sure maybe she's not really either of those names? I'd be open to suggestions but I doubt I'd get any so whatever

Connie is a oc of mine I made a few years back for project related to multiple other projects I have been working on for years I won't dwell into her character much or those projects however Connie is somebody i have tried drawing a few times over the years I still have those drawings and I uploaded them to Tumblr in order to archive them and show my progress over the years

Connie is an animatronic though and I wanted to kinda try to make her look a little more robotic and kid friendly as she's supposed to appear as such while also making it a little clear there's something off about her

Intro thing

I saw a friend do it and thought it was neat... Hello, my name is Kiyoomi. I preferred to be called Omi or Jazz. There's also the name Yomi, but no one calls me that other than @sunnyhasnobraincells. I'm genderfluid. Very much in the closet, only close friends and anyone online know I'm genderfluid. My family is openly supportive of the LGBTQ, I still feel like I need to justify being genderfluid, though. Which I have yet to find out how. I don't know much about my sexuality, leaning towards either pansexual or omnisexual. I draw a lot. Actually, not a lot, since I'm busy. I try not to give up on it though, cause I've been drawing since I was around 4. I draw OCs, fan art, maybe redraws, and fan OCs. Also, I'm very into anime and manga like Dr. Stone, Tokyo Revengers, Toilet Bound Hanako-kun, and even Spy x Family. I really want to try both cosplaying and writing a book. Cosplaying mostly because I know a lot of tricks and I have a few characters I think I'd look good as (COUGH Saionji Ukyo COUGH COUGH). I also have a very detailed story in mind, with arcs and even the ending planned out. I have a love-hate relationship with math. Specifically polynomials. I won't post a lot by the way, because of school. That's all. See you in a million years.

My obsession with Trip really goes way back huh

Welcome to: Owl exposes their art evolution through their many itterations of Trip from Pokémon Best Wishes!

It all started circa 2011. Unfortunately, only one drawing featuring Trip survived the intense purge of any art from this dark period of my life. All I can tell you is that I also drew in 2011 a full on comic about him and you'll have to believe me on that one.

My very first digital art, in 2013, was also representing Trip with a random OC of mine (I think her name was Evangeline or something to that effect). I actually posted it years ago on a Pokémon Forum. Yeah, didn't get a whole lot of love. It is to note that this one is the SECOND drawing I made digitally of Trip. The first one is most likely still sieging in my father's old laptop. Fun fact, this was drawn on Paint.NET using a mousepad. I also found in a sketchbook another one I drew during this time period, this time with some other characters. It's kinda wild how my artstyle was fluctuating at the time.

I then came back to drawing mostly traditionally. I got a bunch of blank sketchpads in 2014 at an art store and instantly got to work and drew the entire cast of Best Wishes for some odd reason. I also found another one. While it's undated, I'm assuming it's from the same timeperiod because of the artstyle. Gosh I liked drawing twink bodies for men huh? That... contrasts a lot with the amount of JoJo looking characters I like to draw these days.

I found some odd sketches from 2015 here and there. It's mostly a try at a realistic portrait and a sketch I made with ink. I remember being very proud of those two when I first made them. I have no clue who this other character with him is meant to be though. Maybe it's still Evangeline or something. Really goes to show how much I changed my view on dynamics and such I suppose. I called it "Rolling Trainer" cause I am a genius who got way into Vocaloid in middleschool.

Next is 2016. It was lodged in a very short sketchbook I used during an internship. I LOVED oniisuu's art style and tried to do chibis like them a LOT. Also I left in the text so that we can all appreciate the cringe :DD As you can see, I sort of thought my obsession for Trip was just hate for some reason since I really didn't like Best Wishes? Like don't get me wrong, there are a LOT of things wrong with Best Wishes but with age I realized that the reason I was so angry at how it was handled was because I loved the characters and thought they deserved better treatment. So it's kind of funny to look back and see how I just genuinely thought I hated this random minor character when I'd draw him pretty much all the time.

After that, I think I took a pretty big break or just lost most of my art of him because the next I found was in 2019. It has a very self aware note next to one of the drawings and the next one has an ink illustration. We can really see how my proportions improved over the years and how my style became more defined, going more towards "semi-realistic". I personally like the shortcut on the arm. I don't think I used a reference so that makes it pretty nice honestly. Also, as you can see, that's when I started drawing Trip with his hair going a bit up for his fringe. I have NO clue why I've been doing this since recently even though it's NOT in his design but it's there.

I found another art made, I think, in 2020 this time. I had been drawing pokémon falling down for a fabric pattern and just drew every pokémon I liked from each generation, a pretty nifty thing I might show in its entirety as it spans over 10 pages or so, and I drew some trainer characters for each gen. And of course, y'all know who I drew for gen 5. I love how my note next to him is just so tired with living. I also redrew the above illustration with watercolors. Doesn't look great but eh.

I also did a redraw of one of my earlier digital art (2013) this time kinda showcasing what I like to do in term of dynamics these days. So huh prepare thyselves for 17 year olds Trip and Eva.

Buff women. Anyways, I got some small digital sketches for 2021, nothing special I never completed them. I might finish the one on the right because I genuinely like the dynamism behind it, how flowy it is, the perspective and also one of my old hc that his hoody has no sleeves.

And finally, the moment we've all waited for, 2022. I am currently 21 and this monster still has not left my head. He's here to stay so I might as well embrace it and return to my good old brain rot. It kinda all came back when I just doodled him on the back of a receipt as stupid as it is, and really, that's a good summary of the kinda place I usually draw Trip on. He always comes back, unannounced, into my life and I draw him randomly onto any surface available.

I hope you found this dive into my art journey motivational or just funny or something. One thing is sure: I'm not stopping drawing Trip. He's been living rent free in my brain for 11 years, at this point, he's staying, it's too expensive to try to evict him, I tried. So huh, if ya want more Trip content I guess follow my blog??? I'm currently making a sprite replacer for BW to turn the MC into Trip and maybe might do a sprite replacer for BW2 as well (though that'd mean redrawing all the costumes at Pokéwood... UUGHHGHGHGHHSDGHDFJSDGfyzeggf) and I also like to shitpost about him and write stupid fanfics about him sometimes so don't hesitate. I'll see you all later, take care of yourselves!!
