you walked off the pitch with a big smile on your face. it always felt great to win, but even better when your family made the journey to come see you. immediately after the game, you had gone over to talk to them, but now they were distracted by ona. you wanted to badly to call her your girlfriend, but the two of you hadn't really spoken about defining your relationship yet.

you knew that you liked her. ona came over all the time, mostly hanging out after practice and well into the night. sometimes, she'd take you out for breakfast, but never after she stayed over. it had all started as casual sex, but now the two of you were having a lot less sex and more date-like hang outs.

"she's a real charmer, isn't she?" keira chuckled as she bumped into you. your ears turned red as you thought about ona still being back there talking to your parents and siblings. "they might try to take her back to portsmouth."

"mum's been talking to her longer than she wanted to talk to me." you were a bit pouty, which carried on through your shower. you always took a bit longer than the rest of the team, which just meant ona was showered and in the process of changing when you got back. "i'm shocked you're not on a plane back to england."

"i couldn't, i'd be too afraid that you'll find someone else. although, it is nice to know that your mother adores me," ona teased. she walked over towards you and cupped your cheek in her hands. "she is kind of annoyed with you for not telling her that you were with someone."

"we're not together ona, not really. you always dodge the conversation," you pointed out. ona frowned as she looked at you, unsure of what to say. "i think that you'd make a great girlfriend though, even if you always make my food too spicy for me."

"it was one time, and i more than made it up to you!" ona's head dropped down onto your shoulder. you felt her smile against your skin as you pressed a kiss to the top of her head. "can i be your girlfriend? your mother already thinks i am."
