As an aroace nonbinary person, it irks me so much when people assume I watch a show because I have a crush on the male character. As if that's the only reason I could watch a show. As if I don't have anything better to do with my life or free time than gush over a pretty dude. As if I can't recognise beauty, skill, and quality in a movie/show, or that I can't appreciate stunning cinematography and an otherworldly soundtrack. As if my mind is that simple that the only thing I am capable of valuing is just a handsome face.
