An eventful holiday - Thea Queen x Male!reader
Tumblr media
A/N: based off the 1x09 holiday episode because I've started a DC show rewatch and forgot how much of a crush I used to have on Thea
When Oliver came back from the dead he had a lot of new things he had to adjust to, one of the hardest being that his little sister who was only twelve the last time he saw her was now seventeen with a boyfriend.
He wanted an opportunity to bring his family closer after learning they stopped celebrating Christmas when he and his father went missing so Oliver planned a big Christmas party to make up for lost time.
However he didn't expect you to be invited as Thea's plus one.
He, Thea, Moira and Walter just got their photo taken when you walk in holding a bouquet of flowers.
"Hi, uh Thea invited me," you say seeing the angry look on Oliver's face, "Mrs. Queen these are for you."
You hand Moira the flowers and she thanks you, Thea kissing you on the cheek and showing you to the food table.
"I didn't get a chance to tell you how amazing you look tonight," you smile, grabbing a christmas cookie and taking a bite of it.
"You clean up pretty nice yourself," she says, drinking a glass of champagne and taking in the sight of you in your suit.
"Well I wanted to impress your brother, I don't think he likes me very much," you admit.
"Because he doesn't know you and he still doesn't want to believe I'm not a little kid anymore," she tells you.
"Maybe we should hang out sometime, just the three of us so he and I can actually get to know each other," you suggest.
"You're putting in a lot of effort to get the approval of my brother," she chuckles.
"That's because I love you, I want him to know that I'm serious about us and would never do anything to hurt you."
Thea smiles and kisses you sweetly, putting her empty glass down on the table, "I love you too and I think we should go upstairs for some privacy so I can give you your christmas present."
"But we exchanged gifts already," You say confused as you and Thea had a small get together with your family a few days prior.
"This is the part of your gift that I couldn't give you in front of your parents," she grins.
You had no idea what was in store for you but you quickly down a glass of champagne as she takes your hand and guides you towards the stairs.
Oliver sees this and glares at you, about to follow you two with intentions of kicking you out of the party but his mother puts her hand on his shoulder to stop him.
"Let them be Oliver," Moira says calmly.
"You're really okay with what they are going to do up there?" Oliver huffs.
"They are young and in love, in case you've forgotten your father and I tried to stop you sneaking around with girls when you were their age and yet you still always found a way," she chuckles.
"She's not ready to be in a relationship this serious," Oliver states.
"And you were?" Moira laughs, "you have to accept that Thea is not the same twelve year old she was when you left."
"Excuse me mom, I need to get some air," Oliver sighs, heading to the front door.
Meanwhile upstairs you are sitting on Thea's bed as she locks her door, sauntering towards you and climbing in your lap.
"Go ahead and unzip my dress," she says and you reach up, pulling the zipper down her chest to reveal the black lacy bra she has underneath.
"Wow," you mutter, the top of her dress falling off her shoulders and bunching around her waist.
"You like it?" She asks it.
"You are so beautiful Thea," you say putting your hands on her waist and kissing her deeply.
The kiss intensifies, Thea slipping your suit jacket off and tossing it to the floor before unbuttoning your shirt.
You pick her up and flip her over, letting her get comfortable against the pillows.
Thea moans softly as you kiss down her neck and along her chest while pulling her dress the rest of the way off her body exposing the lacy black panties that matched her bra.
"Merry Christmas Y/N," she says, biting her lip.
"This just may be the best gift I've ever received," you mutter, your lips traveling along her stomach which results in her hips rocking up for any form of friction.
You spend a while exploring her body and working her up, fully enjoying your gift, your fingers are gently rubbing her over the lace and her arousal is starting to soak through the material so you finally rid her of it.
You stand up and remove the rest of your clothes as well but look around, "Wait where's my jacket?"
You spot it on the floor and dig around in the inside pocket pulling a condom out.
"Were you expecting to get laid tonight?" Thea teases as she lifts her chest up to unclip her bra and tosses it aside.
"Not at all but it's always better to be prepared right," you chuckle, taking the condom out and rolling it on.
You reposition yourself back on top of her, spreading her legs apart and settling in between them.
Thea gasps when you ease the tip of your cock inside her, slowly pushing it the rest of the way in.
"Does this feel okay?" You ask and she nods.
You give a few rolls of your hips so she has a chance to adjust before you find a more steady rhythm.
She throws her head back, her chest in the air so you take the opportunity to nip at her neck and collarbones.
"Just like that," she moans, grasping at the sheets under her.
After a few minutes she feels her release approaching and reaches down, rubbing firm circles over her clit.
"I'm so close," she groans.
"Me too," you grunt, picking up the pace.
With just a few more thrusts Thea is cumming, her walls tightening around your cock and her eyes rolling back.
Seeing her like this takes you over the edge as well, riding out your highs together.
After cleaning yourselves up you're blissfully laying naked in her bed, a sheet loosely around your waists with her head on your chest when there's an urgent knocking on her door.
"Thea make yourself decent quickly, Diggle just called and Oliver's been in a motorcycle accident we need to go to the hospital right away," her mother says through the door with an obvious worry in her voice.
"Oh my god," Thea says, jumping out of bed and grabbing her clothes off the floor.
"Hey, what can I do for you?" You ask trying to comfort her as you both get redressed.
Thea opens her door surprised to see her mom is still standing there.
"Y/N you can help by seeing our guests out after we leave," Moira says.
"Of course Mrs. Queen," you say awkwardly, pulling your suit jacket on and kissing Thea's forehead before heading downstairs.
"Walter is bringing the car around," Moira says as they follow suit, "and Thea dear fix your dress, I do hope you two were using protection in there."
"Mom now is not the time for that!" Thea yelps in embarrassment realizing her dress is still half unzipped.
Well this certainly was the most eventful holiday Thea has had in a long time.

“Then, have you seen-” Oliver stopped in his tracks upon seeing the girl he is secretly harboring feelings for and has been since before the boat accident. “Y/n.”
“Hey, Oliver.” Y/n smiled shyly, giving a small wave from Thea’s bed.
“Hi.” Oliver stuttered out, returning the gesture.
“What were you asking again, Oli?” Thea raised a brow with a small smirk on her lips.
“Huh? Oh yeah. Have you seen the keys to my bike?” Oliver shook out of his dazing awkwardness to ask what he originally came into ask.
“Nope. Haven’t seen him.” She responded with a slight shake of her head.
“Ok. Thanks anyway. See later y/n.” Oliver waved bye leaving the room.
“See you later, Oliver.” Y/n did the same.
“You are so in love with my brother.” Thea smiled mischievously as she stated once her brother was gone.
“What? No!” Y/n shook her head with wide eyes.
“Oh, yes you are. It’s fine. I would love for us to be sisters.” Thea smirked with a shrug.
“Thea. . .he doesn’t like me like that.” Y/n shook her head in disappointment.
“Oh, yes he does. Trust me, he does.” Thea stated confidently. She knew her brother and he definitely liked Y/n.
^     ^     ^
“You know Y/n has a crush on you, right?” Thea asked he, brother, over dinner sitting in Oliver’s room eating Big Belly Burger.
“Yup.” Oliver nodded, he knew that she liked him. Sometimes it was very obvious.
“Then why haven’t you done anything about it? I can tell you like her back. I’d even go as far as to say you might love her.” Thea asked, men could be so stupid she thought. He knows she likes him, and he likes her so why not do something about it?
“I think I love her.” Oliver muttered looking down at his food in thought.
“Oh my GOD! You have to tell her!” Thea exclaimed excitedly.
“But it’s fun watching her be shy about it.” he smiled letting out a light laugh. He loved teasing Y/n, her reactions were always cute to watch. Although he’s not much better sometimes.
“Oliver! That’s cruel. You need to tell her.” Then glared at him.
“I will, I will. I’ll tell her later.” Oliver nodded to get his sister to stop giving him the evil eye.
“Do it. Tonight.” Thea stated pointing at him. Oliver knew he should do it tonight, it’s been long enough.
^     ^     ^
Oliver decided to go over to y/n’s apartment, which in hindsight might not have been the best idea. At least the way he decided to use the window instead of the door. Which resulted in Y/n screaming.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you.” Oliver said holding his hands up in show of he meant no harm.
“It’s ok, Oliver. Jeez though, can’t you use doors?” Y/n laughed waving him off while the other hand held her chest, since her heart was still beating really fast from the scare.
“What are you working on?” Oliver asked walking over to where she sat at her work desk.
“A new type of arrow for you and Roy. It should tear through the muscle and lock on.” She explained as she continued to put the new arrowhead together.
“Nice.” Oliver nodded, it sounded painful maybe the criminals would stop after being shot with one of these.
“Did you need something?” Y/n asked, digging through her shelves for something.
“I wanted to talk to you about something.” Oliver shifted his feet.
“Oh- ok? Uh, shoot.” Y/n glanced at him nervously.
“I like you.” He blurted out watching her closely to see her reaction.
“Huh?” Y/n looked over at him with wide eyes, shocked at his confession.
“I like you, y/n. Actually, I’m pretty sure I’m in love with you. An I’m pretty sure or at least hoping you feel the same.” Oliver walked close to her reaching out to hold her hand.
“I do. You liking me is hard to believe but, yes I do love you as well.” Y/n smiled up at the Arrow shooting vigilante. Both smiling that now the other knew about each other’s feelings. Maybe now things could progress between them.

Then and Now
Sara Lance x Fem!Reader
Genre: Fluff ♡
Word Count: 1,860 words
Tumblr media
Sara has become a frequent flyer of the time realm, jumping from place to place. She has been on dangerous adventures, heart warming journeys and has heard the occasional heart breaking story. However nothing prepared her for her next mission, a mission that would test her strength entirely.
The year was classified for reasons unknown, but the mission stayed the same. A big evil has threatened innocent people to gain more power. The team was quick to gear up, no questions asked. When they emerged from the wave rider, they surveyed the familiar surroundings. They were home, they looked at each other in confusion, waiting for an explanation from Hunter. He walked down the ramp, oblivious to the stares that were directed his way.
He fixed his coat and looked up to see the confused team. "What?" he asked, shrugging off the obvious.
"What do you mean, what?" Jefferson raised his hand, sarcastically quoting the word 'what'.  "Why are we home?"
"This may be home but it is not your time, we are a few years behind the life that you all know and love" Hunter picked at his nails, unfazed by the questions
Sara stepped forward, placing her hands on her hips. "Okay then, next question, what are we doing here?" She motioned towards the city, grasping the big picture
"We are here to save a very important person from walking into a death trap, that's all you need to know" Hunter put his best foot forward and began to make his way to the desired destination. Ray poked his head out from the group, puzzled by the recent statement.
"Isn't that against the rules?" Ray stood still with his features scrunched while he figured out the repercussions of their future actions
"Not if it has already happened" Hunter made another attempt to walk away, this time succeeding, leaving the group to soak in what he just said. The group watched in confusion as Hunter walked away, they were left with little answers and a load of more questions.
They trailed behind him, looking over their shoulders for their past selves. As time went on Sara developed a strange feeling in the pit of her stomach, but she couldn't quite pin point why. When they reached their destination, the team looked around for clues. Anything would be helpful to piece together this puzzle Hunter had created. They watched on with curiosity as a hooded figure walks into their eye line. There was no doubt this person was shady, but were they the one they needed to save?
The feeling in Sara's stomach grew stronger as she observed the hooded figure. There was a sense of familiarity that surrounded the person in front of her. Ray looked over his shoulder to find a large group of people heading towards the hooded figure. He tapped Hunter's shoulder, causing him to look behind him.
"Just in time" he quietly stated, grabbing the attention of the other team members. They followed the group carefully, grabbing their weapons, just in case.
"All this talk and there's only one of you?" Their laughs echoed through the empty parking lot
"All I need is one" the dark figures voice was distorted but Sara knew something was wrong
"Show yourself so we all know who we're burying tonight" they stepped forward in a way to intimidate. They followed their lead and slowly pushed off the hood to reveal a young woman. A loud gasp was heard throughout the car park. Heads all turned in that direction, focusing their sights on the noise.
"Are you trying to get us killed?" Jackson angrily whispered, pulling Sara down
"You have to keep your emotions in check" Hunter's eyes trained on Sara, sending a message through his harsh stare. Sara grew silent, only to continue the mission, Hunter will get more of what he deserves afterwards. When the onlookers agreed there was no threat, they turned their focus back to their target.
“So who will be the first to test their luck?” The woman was confident, provoking the group of men. One man bellowed the loudest, pushing through the huddle. He was burly, tall and looked like he had buried a few bodies in his day. However this didn’t stop the woman from assuming a defensive position, in preparation for a fight. The team watched on in suspense, waiting for Hunter to order them to intervene but he never did. In a split second the burly man lunged for the woman, who easily ducked under his grasp. He grunted in frustration, before he charged at her. In one swift movement, she was able to manoeuvre herself up and over his head, landing feet first behind him.
“That’s it, no more taking it easy” he commanded, his voice reaching the depths of the empty lot. This elicited a laugh from the woman, who clearly was amused by his display.
“I didn’t know you had other settings” now this is what truly set him off, he roared at the woman, throwing all his weight into his punches. She ducked and weaved through each hit, never once colliding with his fist. This angered the man more as he signalled to his men to join, who surrounded the woman with ease.
“She doesn’t look like she needs our help” Jackson commented, his eyes trained on the battle like it was an old kung fu film.
“This is not the help she requires” was all Hunter would say as he patiently waited for the right moment, whenever that was.
One by one the men fell to the floor, some unconscious, some barely alive, some ran the moment they saw they were outnumbered. Either way, the woman was left standing over a pile of worn out men who simply couldn’t pull their punches. That was until one runner decided to be brave, face the threat head on. This created a domino effect and soon enough, the men remerged and attacked.
“We need to do something” Sara couldn’t bear to see them hurting you, bringing pain to your beautiful features. Sara went to stand up when a hand held her tightly by the shoulder.
“Not yet” Hunter intervened, holding her in place. Sara was fuming at how calm he was, knowing full well who you were and what you meant to Sara.
“She is going to get beaten to death”
“This is not why we’re here”
“I will not stand here and watch”
“I thought you would have had more faith in her”
“I do”
“Then wait”
The men piled on, pushing you further into the ground. Each man producing blow after blow as payback for making them look like fools. Blood could be seen grouping underneath their feet and judging by their satisfied smiles, it would have to be yours. “Fuck this” Sara grabbed her weapons and was in the process of standing up when a bright blast was delivered. Suddenly the men were thrown across the lot in all different directions. All that was left was a beacon of light, radiating from the epicentre. The team collectivity had their jaws on the floor, undecided on whether to be amazed or fearful. Sara was simply shocked by the power you possessed. For all the years she had known you, she had never seen you express such light. You only ever gave her little increments for show and tell, even in battle you stuck to hand to hand combat.
The longer you radiated, the more unstable you became. The floor began to rumble, like the earth underneath it was about to cave in. The lonesome cars scattered around the parking lot started to sound their alarms, all at staggered times and decibels. Then suddenly the street lamps burst, leaving the area pitch black except for your shaking body.
“Now we help her. You have the net I told you to bring?”
“Of course”
“Better find a way to toss it on her and quick before she does more damage”
As a team they improvised a plan, which nearly singed the eyebrows of most of them. The closer they got, the hotter it became. Some of the suits began to malfunction due to the rise in temperature. It was quickly decided that only firestorm would be the only being that could get close to you. This was how they successfully caught you in the net which suppressed your powers. When the afterglow wore off, your body was left cold, shaking and burnt in some places. It took all of her being to not run to you and wrap you up in her arms.
“Are you okay?” Sara offered you a hand, pulling you into uncertain legs. She held on to you to keep your body balanced and the action didn’t go unnoticed.
The feeling of her warm skin, the sight of her worried eyes was enough to render you useless. The words just seemed to stutter on their own accord. “I..I’m okay, thanks”. Looking away from Sara, you turned your attention to those that seemed to stare. “What happened?”
“You went all nuclear and nearly created a hole to the centre of the Earth. No big deal” Jackson shrugged his shoulders, trying not show how excited he was to find another enhanced human.
“So glad that you found time for sarcasm”
“There is always time for sarcasm” In sync, both you and Sara rolled your eyes which earned a laugh from Kendra who could already see the significance.
“Are you sure you’re alright?” The vulnerability flowed through Sara as she quietly checked your body for injuries. She knew it like the back of her hand which means she would know very quickly if something was wrong.
“I’m okay, the burns seem to be healing”
“Well we best be off” Hunter as always interrupts the pleasantries, already on to the next mission.
“That’s it?” The team was in utter disbelief, they spent all that lead up just to wrap someone in a net and then leave? This seemed to be a joke.
“Yep, we have a busy day tomorrow and we mustn’t be late for it” By now Hunter is already half way to the wave rider, without even sparing a glance.
“Do you know how silly that sounds?” Kendra called out to him, following his lead to further tease him for his chose of words. The rest of the team were hit on her heels, confused by how quick the mission was.
“It was nice to meet you…”
“Y/N”
“Sara”
“I’ll remember that”
“Make sure that you do”
As a parting gift, Sara left a gentle kiss on your forehead that tingled where her lips had touched. She walked off into the dark night, only offering you a wink before she disappeared. You had hoped to see her again, you just didn’t expect it to be a couple of years later. You had bumped into her on a walk around the city. This time it was your turn to remember and for her to meet you for the first time.
“You look very familiar, do I know you?”
“How about we get some drinks and find out?”

“Fuck it’s hot in here.” You breathed, sweat creeping down the side of your face. Your hands were planted on your knees, keeled over in straight up exhaustion as you squinted at the floor of the Arrow Cave.
“I’m training you for all climates then.” Oliver, your mentor, quipped back, a slight smile on his face. He lightly slapped your back with his wooden stick.
“Let’s get back to it, hm?” He said authoritatively.
You complied, and a few more minutes of loud stick-thwapping ensued. It didn’t take long for him to have you pinned.
“Sorry…” You muttered, laying on the cool floor for a moment. His shirtless frame stood above you.
“Don’t apologize to me, if this were-“
“If this were a real situation, I would have been killed. I know.” You cut him off sourly. He offered a hand and yanked you up.
“You’d be less hot if you didn’t insist on fighting in long sleeves all the time.” Oliver changed the subject, grabbing his own t-shirt.
He had a point- the sleeves certainly weren’t helping. But you weren’t ready to have that whole conversation with him. Some of the careful, intentional cuts beneath the fabric were still fresh, and even the stale, scarred over marks still embarrassed you. You didn’t respond.
“Hey I know what’ll help,” He said with a slight grin (which was usually the most expressive thing you’d get out of him.) “One last exercise before we call it.”
Oliver grabbed a thin blade from the small armor rack, and proceeded to toss you a rubber one.
“Hey!” you yelped, catching it, “Why do you get a real one?”
“Because I know how to use it without causing you serious harm. I don’t trust you with something you can stab me with.” He joked lightly.
Once again, he had a point. And once again, you knew that. The spar commenced.
After a few minutes of apprehensive toe-hopping, he broke the silence.
“That’s not an expensive shirt, is it?”
You narrowed your eyes.
“No, I mean it’s a cheap exercise shirt, why?”
Oliver’s stance changed, becoming more offensive.
“I have an idea.” A sly smile tugged at the corner of his lips.
Without warning, he rushed forward. You let out a slightly surprised inhale, stepping out of the way with grace. You tried to slash his back with the rubber knife, but he quickly turned around, grabbing your arm and throwing towards him. You twisted your arm, ducking into a roll.
“Nice dodge.” He panted slightly. You stayed coiled, focused. This time you attacked him, springing forward him. He caught your forearm. You winced, trying to pull the same stunt twist out of it.
“Don’t do the same move twice.” He said.
In a brief moment you were on the ground, You felt the cold floor, the hand with the fake weapon pinned. Oliver counted to 5- in the heat of pinning you, he must have slit the fabric of your sleeve. It was a clean cut; his trained accuracy paying off. But the rough movement and raised skin lead to a few of your cuts reopening. Normally, the blood wouldn’t soak through your shirt enough, but with your arm exposed…
It took a moment for panic to set in. When it did, you thrashed. He’d thought he won, but your sudden, violent movement caught him off guard. He scrambled back.
“Hey! Match is over! You were p-“
“What the fuck!” You called out, shoving him. In retrospect, that wasn’t much of a statement- he was a solid half-foot taller than you, and at least 100lbs heavier.
“Hey, rel-“
“What the fuck did you do that for!” You referred to the sleeve, cutting his words off again. You piped down, aggressively trying to cover your arm.
“Hey, I was messing around. It was a joke, I can buy you a new shirt?“ At that point, Oliver just sounded confused.
“Yeah, well, it wasn’t funny.” You swiftly huffed, hiding the arm with your back turned to him.
Oliver, speechless, went to set down his weapon, and saw a thin smear of blood on the floor; immediately, his tone changed.
“Did I hurt you?” He asked. All humor had left his voice.
“What?” You responded curtly. “No, you just-“
He didn’t wait for you to finish your sentence. Oliver grabbed your shoulder and spun you around to face him. He tugged your arm out from your protective grasp.
“Let me s-“
You both froze. You felt like you’d just swallowed liquid nitrogen. His face was blank. Silence.
You jerked your hand back. Wordlessly you did your best to cover your arm again, turned around and began making your way to your backpack. From Oliver’s perspective you looked furious- in reality, you were scared. You desperately tried to control your breathing, the familiar tightness in your throat fighting against tears. How could you let this happen? You were mortified, let alone afraid. Deeply you were ashamed. He’d reject you, or abandon you, or at the very least keep you from vigilantism. The possibilities swarmed through your head like a hoard of angry bees.
Your panic was interrupted.
“Hey.”
You stopped mid-step as a hand hesitantly grabbed your arm. Your bag hit the floor with a thud. He, more carefully, pulled your arm, this time with a nervous kindness.
“Let me take a look.”
You obliged. He moved your wrist around a few times, looking the bleeding cuts up and down.
You just stood there numbly.
“Here.”
You both made your ways to the steel table, where he let go for a moment. You weren’t used to seeing Oliver like this. It made you feel uncomfortably like a child.
“I’m going to grab a few things.” His seemed calm, Oliver’s voice a steady sound to focus on. You, suddenly overwhelmed by everything, stayed patiently quiet as he rummaged around. You refused to look up, eyes glued to the cold floor. He came back within a minute.
“Sit.”
You obeyed, completely unsure of what to say. He reached for an alcohol pad and your head snapped up.
“I can take care of it.” You said flatly. Tiredly.
He paused, but slid everything over to you. You worked hastily. The alcohol pad stinging as it swiped nervously across your arm.
Much to your dismay, silence didn’t last long.
“Do you want to tell me what’s going on?” Oliver asked.
“No.” Now you really felt like a child.
“Let me rephrase that; talk to me, or can’t help you. I can’t do anything if you don’t tell me why you’re doing this to yourself.” He said curtly.
“I never said I wanted your help.” You snapped, looking up at him.
Oliver’s hand hit the table, making you flinch.
“I don’t care if you didn’t ask, I recruited you to this team, and I’m the one in charge of keeping you- and everyone else- safe. Either you’re going to tell me what’s going on or-“
You cut him off for the third time that night.
“Or what? You’ll kick me off the team?” You asked bitterly. He sighed.
“Yes.”
You sat quietly for a moment, weighing your options.
“I constantly feel so… out of control.” You said quietly. You paused, putting down the alcohol pad.
“I’m afraid. I’m afraid of people. I’m afraid of my family. I can’t stand school, my home is shit, the world is shit and vigilantism is all I have left. Even doing this, I constantly feel… bad. I’m not good enough. I’m not smart enough. I can’t compete with the rest of you. Then I get to realizing that all I do is pity myself. My life isn’t even that bad. The fact that I can’t handle it all is a sign that I shouldn’t be in this line of work. Someone like me- I’m clearly- People who-“, you let out a frustrated huff, “I’m not mentally, I don’t know, equipped for this kind of thing but I know my entire life would feel so pointless without it. This is the only control I have. The only way I can make things any better and without it I don’t have a reason to live, Oliver. Without it I’m worthless.” You looked up.
“I wish I could just fucking kill myself. Every time I’ve tried, I’ve backed off last minute. I can’t seem to get the guts to just really end it. I even fail at that and then regret waking up the next day. I’m so fucking sick of it.”
You covered your face with your hands, elbows on the table. This entire situation was such a fucking mess. You just ruined whatever chance of staying on the team you had. Not only that but you’d embarrassed yourself in front of someone you admired, and admitted that-
“I’m not going to make you quit.”
His voice was firm. You felt a hand on shoulder. The comfort was like being held for a minute.
“I’m not going to abandon you, or make you leave. You’ve done great things for this team, and not once have you put anyone- including yourself- in needless harm. As long as you continue doing what you’ve been doing, as long as you keep training with me, you’re not getting left.”
You nodded miserably. Your hands still covered your face.
“You’re a good kid, (y/n). Whenever you feel like this- I mean whenever- contact me. You can contact Felicity. You can contact John. All of us are here for you. We’d help you in any way we can. I promise, you’re safe.”
You took your hands from your face, resting them on the table, fingers lacing together.
“Alright?“ He asked.
“Alright.”

Summary: After coming back from his five years in hell, Oliver is seeking to fulfill his father’s wishes and correct some past mistakes. He just wasn’t sure how difficult that was going to be.
Author's Note: Honestly... I just didn't want to give this a sad ending. This is very far off of the lyrics... I usually take them a little more literally than I did with this one.

----------------------------------
My first encounter with Oliver Queen wasn't as memorable as he had hoped it was.
I was in the middle of a day of work when he walked in with a few friends. I served them their meal, barely catching onto Oliver's... attempts at flirting.
It was ridiculous and it made me laugh more than it had flattered me.
But I was dumb and young, so when I found his phone number scribbled on a napkin and stuck in the check presenter, I gave it a shot.
I ended up at a bar that was far too expensive for my taste. Oliver and I sat in the corner and spent most of the nice just talking about anything. Looking back on it now, I could see that it was mostly Oliver talking about himself. I was just happy to listen because I wasn't aware of how strange that was.
The rest of the relationship was history.
It wasn't healthy. I knew that, just not while I was in it.
Oliver was.... for lack of a better term... obsessed with himself. He loved to show off his money. He would party and drag his friends along with him everywhere. We rarely got a night to ourselves. We were constantly surrounded by people that would listen to him talk and talk just so they could get free stuff from him. That included the girls that seemed to sit a little too close.
It just never felt like I was in a relationship with him unless it was convenient to him.
I dealt with a lot of guilt when Oliver went missing.
I had felt like an asshole for complaining about our relationship now that he was gone. I felt like I didn't deserve to be upset with how he treated me anymore.
I did a lot of work.
I accepted that I could grieve him and miss him, but that didn't change what he did. No matter what happened to him, it didn't excuse him mistreating me. I wasn't responsible for his behavior. He was. I had to accept all of that. And I did, or I was getting to that point. I was getting to the point where I felt completely fine with being on my own.
And then, Oliver was found.
I saw the coverage on the news. I was hoping the entire family would kind of forget that I existed. Thea didn't. She called me.
So, for the first time in years, I found myself walking up to the front door of the Queen residence.
I knocked on the door and stepped back.
I yelled when someone came running out the door and hugging me.
"I missed you," Thea shouted as she tightened her hold on me.
"Please tell me you didn't do this to the mailman when he showed up," I joked.
She stepped back, "Sorry."
"It's fine," I said. "How are you?"
"Fine," she shrugged. "Bit overwhelmed."
"I'd expect that," I nodded.
"Umm," Thea pointed back over her shoulder. "Oliver is waiting for you in the sitting room."
"Okay," I replied quietly. A familiar sinking feeling took over my stomach. "I'll see you later."
"Good luck," she said as I walked past her into the main room.
Oliver saw me as soon as I walked in. He quickly stood up from the couch and grinned at me.
"Hey," he said quietly.
"Hi," I replied awkwardly.
He only took a moment before running over and pulling me into a hug. I let out a sigh and closed my eyes. I slowly hugged him back. I wasn't going to lie. I had missed the soft moments.
"I missed you so much," he muttered into my ear before stepping back. "How've you been?"
"Well," I shrugged, "I did a lot of work over the last couple of years. Work on myself."
"That's good," he nodded. "I'm happy for you."
"Thanks," I replied.
"Can we sit," he asked. "I have something important to talk to you about."
I paused for a moment before finally letting out a quiet sigh, "Sure."
As I walked to the couch, I finally noticed the other man standing in the room. I stopped for a moment.
"Umm, hi," I said, waving at him. He grinned and nodded.
"This is John Diggle," Oliver explained. "My mother hired him when I got back."
"Oh," I muttered. "Nice to meet you."
"You too," John replied. "Oliver talks about you a lot."
"Alright," Oliver said. "Diggle, will you give us the room?"
"Are you going to sneak out the window?"
"What," I asked, looking at Oliver. "Why would you-"
"He doesn't like having a bodyguard."
"Never really did," I shrugged.
"Diggle," Oliver jumped in.
The bodyguard nodded before walking out of the room and closing the door.
I finally walked over to the couch and sat next to Oliver. He seemed nervous. That was strange. He had never been super nervous before. Even when he wasn't confident, he was good at faking it around people.
"Listen," Oliver started and stopped. He closed his eyes for a moment, pulling his thoughts together.
"What is it," I asked.
"I missed you, a lot," he explained. "But... I know that I was an asshole when I was with you."
I blinked at him a few times, "I wasn't gonna mention it."
"Yeah," he muttered. "I just... I want to apologize. I'm so sorry for how I treated you. It was awful. I know that."
"Umm... well... thank you for saying that," I replied.
He grinned at me.
We sat in silence for a while. I looked away from him, instead opting to stare at a pattern on the carpet. I didn't know what else to say or do. It was a conversation that I never expected to have.
"(Y/n)," I looked back over at him when he said my name. "Could we... Could we try this again?"
I completely froze up.
"I know that I wasn't good to you," he continued. "I was an absolute ass. But I want to be better. I think I can be. I just... I don't want to lose you completely. Please."
"Oliver," I sighed. I closed my eyes and looked down for a moment. "I... I don't know."
Oliver nodded, "You can decide how fast or slow we go forward. You decide when we're done. If I start being awful, then leave."
I felt like I was going to throw up. Not because I was disgusted at the idea, but because I was completely caught off-guard. I never thought I was going to have this conversation. I never thought I would have to consider this.
"We can start with one date," he offered. "Just dinner?"
I took a deep breath, trying to relax.
"Okay," I said.
My mouth was just a few seconds ahead of my brain. Still, I wasn't unhappy. I grinned at him. He smiled back at me.
"One chance," I clarified.
"Thank you," he reached over and grabbed my hand. "I'll call you with the details."
I nodded before standing up, letting his hand fall from mine, "I'll await your call."
"Okay," he excitedly nodded before standing up. "Can I walk you out?"
I nodded.
We walked back out to the front door slowly. I was about to walk out when Oliver said my name to stop me. I turned around for a moment. He leaned over and kissed my cheek. It was only for a matter of seconds before he stepped back.
He looked down for a moment, blushing a little. I grinned at him.
"Bye, Oli."
"Bye," he waved as I finally made it out of the house.
To whatever power there was controlling the world, please let this dinner go well. Please.

Irredeemable
Pairing: Laurel Lance x Reader
Summary: You come back to Star City only to learn that it's beyond saving.
A lot could happen in three years. You watched as nearly every person who you loved and cared about had some aspect of their life destroyed, and then finally, you ran away from the place that had caused it all. Star City was like a plague, but it was inescapable. You had tried to run and hide for three years, but eventually found yourself right back where you never really wanted to be. This time would be different for you. You weren't helpless like you had been before. There was an element of control that you had over your life that you didn't before. You couldn't wait to go see Laurel and tell her all about how you had turned your life around. You hoped that she was finding her place as Black Canary, and maybe there would be a spot for you to help her.
"You know, I expected Laurel to make it into the DA's office, but this is a surprise," you said as you stepped into Oliver Queen's office. Oliver had been one of your close friends growing up, and the last place you expected to find him was working as the mayor. He had never been into politics, and even when Moira had been running, he hadn't cared too much. "You look ridiculous in that suit."
"Felicity told me it looked good," Oliver said, his voice going slightly higher in pitch. You smirked as you stepped completely into his office. He opened up his arms, offering you a hug. It was a small gesture, but it was something that never would have happened before you had left.
"It's not you," you told him. Oliver nodded in understanding. He ushered you towards a chair as he moved past you to close the door. "How is she, by the way? I know we weren't close, but she seemed like one of the good ones."
"She's good. We're all good. What are you doing back in Star City?" Oliver asked. There was no malice or mistrust, which sort of surprised you. The two of you had a tumultuous relationship. You had ever since he had begun dating Laurel. You'd been Sara's best friend growing up, and maybe, just maybe, you had developed quite a crush on Laurel. Even as the two of you grew up and changed, you hadn't let go of those feelings. There just had never been a good time for you to act on them. If it wasn't Oliver in the way, then it was Tommy or somebody's vice doing the trick.
"I'm here to see Laurel," you told him. Oliver's face fell at that, knowing which Laurel you were there to see. You had been gone with no contact from anybody in Star City. He doubted that even Thea had been able to get a hold of you. Felicity had kept tabs on you, but never reached out. She had tried when Laurel died, but you had been in no headspace to receive that news. "What's wrong? D-did something happen to Laurel?"
"Damien Darhk killed her a couple years ago. I thought you knew," Oliver said quietly. It was barely a whisper, spoken with extreme care. He watched you carefully as he waited for your reaction. You couldn't react though, you didn't even feel like you could breathe. Oliver gingerly reached towards you and took your hand in his. "I'm sorry that you had to find out this way."
"Everything," you mumbled as you curled up into yourself. "This city has taken everything from me. There's nothing to save anymore. Why do you even bother? All Star City will ever do is take and take until you're small enough for it to swallow whole."
"Y/n, you can't think like that," Oliver told you. You weren't in a mood to listen to him though. You tore yourself away from him and bolted out of his office. You didn't know where to go, you had put all of your chips in this, and now you were all alone in the last place you wanted to be. Star City without Laurel might as well have been your own personal hell. As you looked around, you didn't see the place where you had grown up and gone to college, all you could see were potential targets for your own destruction and rage. You wanted to burn it all down, but the only thing stopping you was knowing how much Laurel had loved the city. It had been her home, and she thought it was worth saving even when you didn't.

The Jealous Type
Requested by: Anonymous
Pairing: Lonnie Machin x fem!reader
Genre: Angst, Fluff
Characters: Lonnie, Y/N
Description: Y/N never thought that Lonnie was the jealous type but when her ex rolls into town, Lonnie lets his feelings be known.
Tumblr media
You had never known Lonnie to be the jealous type, in fact, you had never known him to be anything but sweet when it came to you. But when he seen you with another guy and his hands all over you and you batting them away, something inside him changed and he rushed towards you both without thinking.
He pushed himself between the two of you, his hands tight around yours. “Who do you think you are, touching her like that?!” The other guy laughed and leaned back against the wall. “I am Ben, her ex. Who in the hell are you?” Seeing the guy laugh about it made Lonnie’s blood boil.
You felt Lonnie’s hand tense against yours and you knew that something was about to happen. You squeezed his hand in an attempt to calm him down, but to no avail. He let go of your hand and stepped towards Ben. “I am her boyfriend so I suggest that you go before I do something that you’ll regret.”
Ben threw his head back with laughter. “Her boyfriend? No, I don’t think so. She belongs to me and she always has. The things that I have done to her, well...” He looked around Lonnie and winked at you. “I’m sure Y/N will tell you.”
With a mixture of jealousy and anger Lonnie swung his fist forward and hit Ben square in the nose, sending him flying back and onto the floor. “Never talk about her like that. She is her own person and doesn’t belong to anyone. Now if you know what’s good for you, you’ll get the hell out of town and drive far away from here. If I get even a sniff of you around here again, you’ll get more than a bloody nose.”
Lonnie grabbed your hand and guided you out of the building and towards the car. When you were both inside, his facade completely changed. He was your sweet Lonnie again. “Baby, are you alright? He didn’t hurt you, did he?” He cupped your face with his hands, his eyes scanning for any sign of injury.
You grabbed his hands with yours and squeezed. “He didn’t, don’t worry. I’m just glad you were there, Lon. I don’t know what would have happened if you weren’t. He’s never been able to get over us breaking up.” You looked into his eyes and slowly leaned in, placing a sweet kiss to his lips. “Thank you for saving me, my prince.”
He gave a sad smile and shook his head. “You don’t need to thank me. I just wish you hadn’t seen me like that. I never wanted you to. I hate that side of me.” “Every part of you is special to me, Lonnie, the good and the bad. You never need to hide any part of you from me, alright? I love you just the way you are.”
Lonnie’s smile grew, tucking your hair behind your ears. “How did I get so lucky with you?” You blushed and he pressed a kiss to your cheek before starting the engine and driving home, your hands both intwined.

The blue canary - Thea Queen x Male Lance!reader
Tumblr media
*a/n: Laurel didn't die in season 4*
● you had known Thea practically since birth through your older siblings Laurel and Oliver being childhood friends and eventually dating
● you were really close but grew apart at 12 when Oliver and your other sister Sara died in the Queens Gambit ship wreck
● it wasn't until you were 17 and Oliver (and later Sara too) came back that you reconnected
● it's a real slow burn relationship not getting together until you guys were 22 after the whole Damian Darhk fiasco
● by this point Thea has become speedy and you've become the blue canary following in your sister's footsteps
● you already knew your way around a gun thanks to your dad as well as being trained in hand to hand combat by Laurel and Sara
● but your weapon of choice are your blue shurikens
● Laurel and Sara are even more protective of Thea than Oliver is when you tell everyone you're dating
● you expected the whole typical older brother "if you hurt her I'll hurt you" speech from Oliver but instead he's just like "if you ever break her heart those two are the ones you need to be afraid of" he says pointing to Laurel and Sara
● Laurel "he's right you know"
● "Why are you threatening me?? I'm your brother??"
● Sara "yeah but we like Thea better"
● meanwhile there's Quentin "how is it that every single one of my kids has dated a Queen??"
●"it could be worse, I could be dating Oliver instead of Thea"
● Quentin "don't even joke like that Y/N"
● Oliver “Hey I'm right here”
● getting interrupted all the time by your siblings
● even at your apartment they let themselves in with keys you didn't know they had
● you and Thea are busy making out on the couch and Sara just pops in
● "Sara! Knock first!"
● "I come to see my little brother after being gone with the legends for 6 months and this is the welcome I get?"
● one time you joined the legends going back to the 1800's
● as fascinated with the waverider as Thea was she is perfectly fine not time traveling anymore
● "Hey babe, Sara invited me to go on another one of their missions you want to join?"
● "no thanks, I'll stay here in the present with electricity and proper plumbing"
● Thea is much better with a bow and arrow than she is with your shurikens
● she was trying to throw one at your target practice set up in the arrowcave when it flew completely past the target and nearly hit Oliver in the head which he ducked just in time
● "Okay no more shurikens for you speedy"
● "come on Ollie I was so close to actually hitting the target this time!"
● "were you??"
● date nights also getting interrupted when Felicity calls you in to stop ongoing crimes nearby
● “damn and I was really looking forward to dessert too”
● Felicity “please tell me by dessert you mean actual food”
● Thea “well there was definitely going to be whipped cream involved”
● you and Malcolm Merlyn do not get along at all
● “Thea do you really need to date this guy, I expected someone better for my daughter”
● “Merlyn if you don't shut up I'm going to cut off your other hand”
● Thea “do I need to separate you two??”
● it's still awkward doing any sort of PDA in front of Oliver
● you kissed her goodbye before heading out for a mission and Oliver is just glaring at you
● “Y/N and I have been together for two years, I really can't kiss my boyfriend in front of you yet?”
● “nope,” is all he says making a show of picking up his very sharp arrows
● Laurel whispering to you “you're lucky I'm the one who caught you guys in the med bay earlier, if it had been Oliver those arrows would be in your chest right now”

Being friends with benefits with Bruce, Nightwing, Red Hood and Oliver Queen?
Ah I don't many requests like this for the DC characters. But I feel like I should definitely branch out.
Pairing: Bruce Wayne, Jason Todd, Dick Grayson, Oliver Queen x Fem!Reader
Tags: nsfw, smut, friends with benefits, hickies, cock riding, aftercare, rough sex, cunnilingus, everyone here is bad at feelings
A/N: I have some ideas for fwb with other fandoms too. Reblog, comment and all that good stuff and let me know what you think. Also DM me if you'd to get on my DC taglist.
Bruce doesn't really do friends with benefits. With him you're either in a committed relationship or you're casual. If you're his friend and you're having sex then assume you've already moved into girlfriend territory. There's no way he can look deeply into your eyes while having sex with you every night and not fall for you. He can't resist you, so you should expect that after every rough pounding there must come gentle cuddles, a very little words. When he goes really rough on you he likes to cool and wash your body with a towel, maybe leaving a few more hickies in the process, not possessive, just admiring you.
Jason likes the arrangement a lot because he doesn't have to lose you as a friend but he also doesn't have to pretend that he's not attracted to you. He's seen you openly gawking at him, he likes it, a lot and at those times he will show off a little extra just to turn you on and afterwards get on his knees to finish what he started. God you taste good on his tongue. Ride his mouth, he can take it, he can hold your legs on his shoulders all night if needed, he just wants to hear you moan for him and be free to leave afterwards with no strings attached, other then your friendship but that's a whole other story.
Dick would agree to it and like it at first but would catch feelings pretty fast. He's already very affectionate towards you and sex just amplified those emotions. It became clear to him that this type of relationship won't work. But he also doesn't want to lose you as a friend. He's conflicted, he fucks you harder then he ever has before, trying to get rid of these feelings before they overwhelm him. He can't stop, he's not getting soft, he just keeps on going until you push him away because your pussy feels so sore. Only then does he notice how many rounds it has been. He didn't mean to go this hard, he just... loves you. There he said it, finally. He's been doing it all backwards and now, now he wants you for real, sex, love, romance all of it.
Oliver has had many friends with benefits in the past. Of course he has, so he figures that it'll be no different with you. Hanging out with you, laughing and throwing jabs at each other one minute, and the next you're on top of him, riding his cock, moaning how amazing he feels, he can't help buckle under your praise, to want to give you everything. Except that wasn't how it should go, you should fuck, leave, and then act casual, that's how it always is. Just casual. No strings attached. Either he underestimated how good your pussy feels or he has a bigger heart then cock because he is giving you heart eyes when you're laying next to each other, happy and spent.

I limped over to my car and turned it on as best I could. I took a breath and assessed the damage. My ankle felt like it was sprained, my arm was defiantly  broken, my stomach had a gash on it, a cut on my brow and my jaw was pretty badly bruised. It was just a few thugs, I thought I’d beagle to handle it, but it turned out that they had their weapons on them, I didn’t. I had to get to the hideout, Felicity would be there to help, maybe even Oliver too. I placed the car into drive and made my way to the abandoned building, only driving with one arm of course. I t was hard to park, but I somehow managed. I limped over to the elevator and as soon as it stopped at the hideout, I made it one step out and fell to the floor.
“Oh my God, Y/N!” Felicity shouted and rushed over to me.
“H-Help…” I whispered just before I passed out.
*Felicity’s POV*
I turned to look at Oliver who was staring at his brother with wide eyes. I looked back down at my boyfriend and checked whatever I could see. He was really beaten up…
“Oliver, we need to help him now!” I said, which snapped him out of his trance. He nodded and came over, lifting his brother up and placing him on a table so we could work on him.
“Maybe we should take him to the hospital…” I whispered as we we working on his injuries.
“That might be a good idea… I have no idea how to set a broken arm…” He said and I nodded. He helped me get him in my car and I drove us to the hospital as fast as I could. They took him into the back and a nurse asked us what happened, but we had no idea. The whole time Oliver and I were waiting, all I could do was reassure myself that he would be alright… He had to be…
*Y/N’s POV*
I woke up and everything ached. I groaned as I slowly tried to sit up, but a strong hand gently pushed my shoulder keeping me down.
“Just rest, you don’t need to hurt yourself anymore.” Oliver said and I sighed.
“Can you just help me sit up?” I asked, coughing slightly because my throat was dry. He nodded and helped me sit up slightly in the bed.
“Y/N, what happened to you?” Felicity asked.
“Bunch of thugs picked a fight with me, I thought I could take them, but turns out they had weapons and well… I didn’t.” I sighed.
“How many?” Oliver asked.
“Three, maybe four. I don’t really remember.
“Four!? Are you insane! You should have just walked away!” He said.
“Oh like you would do that.” I said, rolling my eyes.
“We’re not talking about me.” He said, narrowing his eyes at me.
“Ollie, you would have done the same fucking things so don’t even try and lecture me.” I said, also narrowing my eyes at him.
“Stop! This isn’t the time to start fighting with each other! Y/N I know you hate when I agree with him, but I do! You should have just walked away, you’re not like Oliver, no offence.” Felicity said and we both sighed.
“Just be happy he’s alive and move on.” She said and He nodded.
“I am happy you’re alive. You looked like shit.” He said and I laughed, but stopped quickly because it hurt too much.
“Take it easy, okay? The doctor said you have a lot of injuries and that you need to relax.” She said with a worried tone.
“I’m fine, baby, it just felt a little soar.” I said and she shook her head.
“What is it with you Queens and downplaying your injuries?” She asked and we smiled.
“Just runs in our blood.” Oliver shrugged and she rolled her eyes.
“I can’t with you two…” She said.
“You love us.” I said with a smiled.
“We’ll see.” She said with a smile. There’s nothing like being in the hospital surrounded by the people that love you, now all we needed was Thea and it would be perfect.

Don't be Scared; This is the Life - Oliver Queen Imagine (Arrow)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Title: Don't be Scared; This is the Life
Pairing: Oliver Queen X Reader
Based On: Don't be Scared
Word Count: 943 words
Warning(s): argument, cussing
Summary: (Y/n) didn't know what they were truly signing up for when Oliver became mayor and hired them After disagreements and arguments, (Y/n) starts to realize that their new job just might not work out.
Author's Note: I swear I've somehow made it a requirement for Oliver Queen to get an imagine in every writing challenge.
SONDER - THE WRECKS WRITING CHALLENGE
------------------------------
I rolled my eyes as I listened to some half-assed argument from Oliver.
"You have not heard a word I've been saying," I snapped.
"I have," he argued. "I'm trying to find a better solution."
"No, you're trying to undermine me, like usual."
Working with Oliver often made me want to pull my hair out. He had gone on and on about wanting to work for the city and help people. Now, he had the chance and the resources, but he wasn't doing anything worth noting. He wasn't even trying to get to that point.
It drove me absolutely insane.
"Since when have I-"
"Every idea I have offered has been shot down," I cut him off. "Do you know how many reports and proposals I've given you? I've written multiple novels worth, Oliver. I need to know that I am being heard. You asked me to be a part of your team. Act like it."
His jaw clenched.
I let out a sigh and closed my eyes for a moment.
"Maybe I should go home for a day," I muttered. "It's late. We're both tired. Just... please, think about what I've said and given you. This city needs help. Let me help you give them that help."
He just looked down at the desk.
I turned around and left the office. I grabbed my things quickly and started heading out.
I ran a hand over my face.
The entire day was weighing on my shoulders. It felt like a mass was sitting on me. I was tired and stressed and angry. It was awful.
I had been so focused on dealing with the problems of the day that I had stopped being as observant as I should've been.
I let out a yell as I was grabbed. The sound didn't get far before a hand was clasped over my mouth. My back was slammed against a wall, knocking me out before I had a grasp over what was truly going on.
When I came to, I was tied up in some abandoned building. Arms tied above my head, so my toes barely grazed the floor. My head hurt. I was tired. It was all so much. That was the best way I could describe it.
A man walked over from the other side of the room. He looked pissed. Not that I had any idea why. I had never seen him before in my life.
"What am I doing here," I asked.
"Just answering a few questions," he said simply.
"About what?"
"Where's the Green Arrow's base?"
There was a long pause between us.
"What," I replied. I felt a fist meet my cheek. "Shit!"
"Answer me!"
"I can't!"
Another hit landed on my stomach.
"I told you to answer me!"
"I don't know what the hell you're talking about!"
I yelled as the man's fist collided with my ribs. I closed my eyes and let my head drop.
"Still don't know?"
I was ready to spit out some kind of sarcastic comment but didn't get a chance when an arrow shot into the man's shoulder. I yelled in shock as the man stumbled back.
I watched as another man dropped down, walking out from behind me.
It was the Green Arrow.
I watched him pull the arrow out of the man's shoulder and continue beating the absolute shit out of the man. After making sure the man was unconscious, the Green Arrow started walking over to me.
"I'm here to help you," he said, trying to calm me down.
I nodded, letting him untie my hands. He made sure that I stayed on my feet.
"Let's get you home," he nodded toward the door of the building.
I followed him for a moment before stopping, my thoughts collecting themself. He stopped when he noticed I did. He looked back at me.
"How'd you know I was here," I asked. "I... I didn't call or text anyone... and you got here so fast... how did you know?"
"Is that important?"
"Yes."
"Why?"
"Because I said so," I sassed him. He chuckled at me. "Now, answer me."
There was a pause. I could see the wheels turning in the man's head. He let out a sigh.
"There's a tracker on your phone."
"A fucking what," I snapped. "What gives you the right-"
He shoved off his hood before I could yell at him anymore.
"Oliver," I asked.
"Hi," he awkwardly waved. "I knew that I needed to keep you safe because you were part of my team. But I didn't want to pull you into this world- ow!"
He grabbed his arm after I slapped it.
"What was that for," he asked.
"That one was for the tracker," I said before hitting his arm again. "That one was for not telling me who you were after you hired me."
"Can I get you home now?"
I crossed my arms over my chest, "Fine."
Oliver got me back to my apartment with no problems. He hid away in an alley, not wanting to get spotted.
"Thank you," I said. "I didn't say that earlier."
"Yeah, you jumped straight to hitting," he replied. "You're welcome. I'll see you at the office tomorrow."
"I look forward to finally having a genuine conversation about the city's future," I nodded. "Now that I actually know what you do."
"So do I," his grin made my heartbeat speed up. I would never admit that to him.
"Goodnight, Oliver."
"Goodnight."
As I walked back to my apartment, I felt a new sense of comfort. Of control. Like things were going to be better now.
And I really liked that feeling.
