Most of you probably already know what this is but, a new blog means we gotta cover some basics. I like to overdo stuff sometimes~

What is a TTRPG?

Well, first of all, it is the shortened term for the genre known as Table-Top Role Playing Game. Some people call it a Table "Talk" Role Playing Game and that's fine too, both versions work ♡

But when you get past the basic definition, you'll find it's really a diverse space with something to suit everyone. The most commonly known TTRPG I would easily guess is Dungeons and Dragons, aka D&D.

But it is NOT the only one out there! There are so many more to choose from, so don't feel shackled to the one system.

There's also games such as Pathfinder which is a similar alternative, and years ago I heard about this fun world known as Shadowrun. In my local comic book/manga/tabletop games shop just the other day I found a new game called Symbaroum and it looks really good, visually and from a world building perspective- If you know the videogame Cyberpunk 2077, you'll find it's actually a TTRPG first as well!

Mostly I'm going to be focused on the games that Dustfire Media get into, which means most regularly I'll be posting about #AvatarLegends and #ScumandVillainy but thanks to #TheForge (Patreon's only!) They expand and explore other TTRPGS as well, so I don't want anyone to feel limited or restrained about what TTRPGs they can talk with me about.

Just the other day Justin mentioned a game called Fabula Ultima and I fell in love with it, so I bought the PDFs straight up.

But to cap off this post, whether you love abusing mechanics to get the strongest builds in the silliest of ways, or you want to practice method acting with your friends or anything between, a Table Top Role Playing Game is an awesome way to spend time with friends and family, as well as having some goofy fun.

Until we get all the facts, or at least their perspective on the endgame, I think it is unfair to assume it was changed last minute. Animation isn’t exactly a thing you change on a whim.

Considering that our voice actors were recording literally until the last minute, I think animation can be changed in a matter of a few months. They might have just redrew a scene.  Yeah, you are right, but I still can't accept this right now.

SOULMATES AU YES

The morning of her sixteenth birthday Korra woke up early.  She quickly lit a flame in her left hand and held it up so she could read the name on her wrist.  She expected to find the name of some Water Tribesman there.  

"Mako," she whispered the definitely not Water Tribe name.  "I wonder where you are."

At breakfast Katara asked to see her wrist.  Korra proudly presented it to her waterbending sifu.  "A Fire Nation name," Katara said as she traced the characters.  

Korra looked at her wrist and smiled.  "I've always wanted to go to the Fire Nation."

"Pass your firebending test first," Katara said with a smile.

As the year passed Korra began to imagine what this Mako was like.  He'd be a firebender, obviously.  He'd have a sense of humor and would love joking with her.  He'd be willing to follow her around the world.  She created her perfect match in her head.

They'd meet after she was a fully fledged Avatar and he would think she was the best Avatar in all of history.

She never expected to meet in the pro-bending arena.

"Aw come on Mako," she heard Bolin say and suddenly perked up at the name.  "I kind of promised her she could stay and I've got a feeling there's something special about this girl."

Korra was almost speechless when Bolin took her over to Mako.  Before she could do anymore than look at him he turned towards the gangplank to the arena.  

She watched him win the match and she knew, knew this had to be her Mako.

"That was amazing," she congratulated as he walked past her after the match.

"You're still here?"  He asked.  He shoved his helmet into his locker and she ran over and pulled off his right wrist guard.  "What are you doing?"  He asked as he tried to pull his hand back.  She pushed his sleeve up and saw her name written on his wrist.

"I'm your soulmate," she told him proudly as she pulled off her blue cuff.

"So?  I don't put much stock in this whole soulmate thing."

"Why?"

"Because its some stupid spirit nonsense."

"Well I'm the Avatar and your soulmate so you better get used to spirits."
