Damn Tumblr for not accepting large files! Yeah, I did all the parts - chorus and all. Yep, I'm that insane. Just woke up with an insatiable urge to sing my lyrics...just in time for the eclipse to become irrelevant. 🫠 So obviously I departed from the original English (they wouldn’t have worked in context anyway, they’re so generic) and tried to stick as much to the German as possible. Hopefully this is still an improvement over the Dance the Vampire clusterfuck even with me singing to myself.

What is Badoo? How to Use Badoo

Badoo (Formerly Yamky ) is a popular free social dating site. The platform offers its users the opportunity to meet new people and chat privately. Users can use the social network for free.

Badoo membership is created for free. All basic features are available in the free model. There is also a paid user model with wider features in the form of Badoo Premium .

Badoo friend suggestions are made on a global or location-based basis. Users who create their own profiles are also recommended as friends to other users. The Badoo algorithm matches users through profile data such as interests, region, age and gender.

Badoo operates in 190 countries. In addition, there is a total of 47 different language support, including Turkish. Badoo is available on the Web and mobile with iOS-Android apps.

Users can create new accounts or connect with other social network accounts (Facebook, Google, MSN, Vkontakte, Odnoklassnki, Yandex, Mail.ru).

Badoo history

Badoo was founded in November 2006. Its founder is Russian businessman Andrey Andreev. It attracted great interest in a short time, and after its first year, it managed to collect a fund of 30 million dollars. In 2008, it received an additional funding of 30 million by the Russian investment company Finam Capital in exchange for 10% of the platform. In 2009, Finam Capital increased its stake in Badoo to 20%.

Badoo  started to offer its services through various social games and tests on Facebook, another social network that rose at the same time . Badoo used its viral model on Facebook. Thus, it aimed to direct users to its own paid services. With Badoo reaching 17th place among Facebook applications, Facebook issued a warning against Badoo to change its viral logic.

In 2014, Andreev  teamed up with Whitney Wolfe, the former co-founder of  Tinder , to set up the “female” focused dating and dating social network called Bumble . Badoo and Bumble social networks Bumble Inc. operates under its umbrella.

In 2017, Badoo was reintroduced to users as a completely independent social network with its renewed face, especially its logo. In 2019, scandals related to sexual assault, harassment and drug use among Badoo employees came to the fore.

Badoo features

Badoo offers its users private chat, automatic matching (recommending/recommending friends), sharing photos and videos. During the first registration phase, the user can choose the features to meet new people, chat and add them as friends as they wish.

Each user can define their own interests and limit friend suggestions according to their criteria. In 2018, the Badoo live streaming feature was beta tested, but later this feature was removed.

You, a thief worth at least several billion mora, now spent your few measly credits you just earned to beat his men up.

You pressed your thumb across the guard’s cheeks. Almost in a comforting, parental manner. Overlooking their broken nose and nearly unconscious bearing, many would see this as being intimate.

Wriothesley only stares before he stalked off.

“See? I told you no one would save you.” You chuckled, kissing the guard on the forehead before you give them one final headbutt to seal the deal.

You glance at the mess made by the ordeal on yourself and sighed. You’ve gotten sloppy. But it was fun not having to sweat over the details when it came to taking people down.

As you walked around the unconscious, brutalised bodies on the floor you hummed, playing air violin as you seemingly danced across the floor.

“[Y/N].”

You hear Wriothesley. His voice so low and quiet it is barely above a murmur.

With your back faced to him, you asked, “Yes, pup?”

You hear his boots tap the floor, the sounds of bones breaking and then light groans before silence.

“You need to eat. A meal a day isn’t enough for you, you know that.”

You turned your head to the side, catching a small glimpse of his features. His eyes drooped and never met yours. Years ago and even now.

“Or else you’ll put me in my personal cage again, your grace?”

At his sour response you smile. You’ve never felt anything throughout your entire life. Was this what others would call amusement?

“Remember when I used to tell you to eat, pup?” You turned your head back at the glass window that overlooked the waters outside, “Still . . . it is a pity, by the time you put me in there again this place would have already been carved open.”

i think we can all agree that SHOCK!’s music video is 100% related to buddy daddies.

please pay attention to the lyrics that i note during each section 👀

it’s lengthy but i think it would be worth reading. the music video offers a lot of similarities to buddy daddies and more that hasn’t been yet been similar to any part of the show we can see, which opens up many possible theories.

it begins with a lone reaper (rei) meeting an angel (kazuki) by chance from a crane game.

(lyr: “hey, i want to love you, is this true? > i showed you my heart.”)

there is an entire montage dedicated to just showing them interacting, with the reaper in blue and the angel in pink. at the end of it, they hold hands, but now the reaper is also pink.

(lyr: “hey i want to love you, is this true? > im being tossed around again”)

next shot — they chillin, holding hands or whateva, and then badoom a gigantic ufo (the organization) looms over them, and starts to chase them around. hand-in-hand, the two are running away.

(lyr: “i locked it up so it wouldn’t hurt > it won’t change, and i know, but…”)

the ufo knocks down and captures the angel in its huge hands, and the reaper’s eyes water as it reaches out to save the angel, but the angel then disappears. in very brief shots, the reaper sheds a tear and then sprouts wings.

(lyr: “i know that i don’t want to lose anything anymore > gives me a good laugh”)

in a series of beautiful✨ shots, the reaper is trying to escape the ufo with determination and it’s newfound wings.

(lyr: “let’s love and be loved > let me see if this is love”)

there is a shot of the angel, pink, and the reaper, blue again and far away. there is another shot of the reaper letting a tear fall.

(lyr: “from now on, swing me around as you please”)

the reaper, although with wings, is falling through the sky with great speed. its eyes tear up. in the next shot, it reaches out towards the camera as it falls back into the grasp of the ufo.

(lyr: “swing me around as you please, forever”)

the lights on the sign on the crane machine powers off. a small reaper and angel plush are won by and picked up by a girl wearing pink (miri) from a crane machine (the same one).

so many things in this video make so much sense after i really gave it some thought. here is what we know for sure as of episode 8:

rei was a lone killing machine before meeting kazuki (wandering reaper).

kazuki was trapped by his guilt until he taught rei to live, which in turn helped himself (angel trapped in crane machine).

kazuki and rei met by chance (crane machine).

he changed rei for the better, even if he doesn’t realize it (turning the same color as kazuki).

they are dependent and reliant on each other, for work and personal reasons. they lent each other a helping hand (holding hands).

but we saw that when something personal interferes with the professional commitment people have to the organization, the organization will make sure it doesn’t stay that way (huge ufo with big eyes and hands chasing the two).

as for the rest of the music video? shit gets sad…

the angel is torn away from the reaper and trapped in the ufo’s grasp. it then disappears to become a plushie again.

the reaper sprouts wings and does all it can to escape the ufo, but it meets the same fate as the angel. being separated from the angel makes the reaper blue again.

the two, in a helpless and immobile plushie state, are picked up, by chance, and by a little girl this time. however, this might put the girl in danger of meeting the ufo as well.

i think i don’t need to explain my theories for that part. it can speak for itself…

but it’s got me seriously worried about the direction of this show. since we know that the beginning can be well-explained by rei and kazuki’s first encounter and a little past that, there is a chance that the rest of it reflects the rest of the series as well.

or who knows, maybe the music video is only extremely resemblant of the show it ops for by coincidence!! 😭 maybe buddy daddies has a happy wholesome ending…!!!
