I set out to create a 16bit looking remake of the Atari VCS version of The Empire Strikes Back, I imagined it as one of those ultra wide 1980s Taito arcade cabs (like Darius or The Ninja Warriors)!
Painted in Pixaki on an iPad.

The Battle of Hoth was a conflict on the Outer Rim world between the Rebellion and Empire. After the discovery of Echo Base by a Viper probot, the Imperial Death Squadron, led by Darth Vader, launched a ground invasion to destroy the Rebel’s planetary shield. The battle was one of the worst large-scale defeats the Rebellion suffered, enough so that the Emperor mentioned it in a speech shortly after, telling the galaxy to expect an end to the war.

Wedge Antilles
Another project from my ‘I’ll do it when I have time’ list and seeing as I had a week before starting my new job I made the most of it.
Forget that farm boy Jedi, Wedge Antilles and Rogue Squadron are where it’s at!
Had the good fortune to meet Denis a few hears ago and he was one of the most genuine and pleasant actors I’ve ever met.
