why doesn't chara & asriel live with toriel at all?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
everyone's gone on without you
#ok now to actually explain it and not just post no context imgs#it was a while from the time monsterkind was freed to when asriel and chara came back/came to the surface#and in that time life had continued going on without them. as it had the same way when they died#im thinking it was anywhere around a year before frisk in their infrequent trips to the underground#was able to convince flowey to take a piece of their soul so he could hold his goat form together somewhat#and bring him back to the surface#but for chara it took longer. two years maybe? from monster independence day to come back#because frisk had to first find out where chara's real original soul was being kept and then find it and stuff#i can talk about this another time its such a huge can of worms my god#BUT BASICALLY it was a few years and by the time both kids were integrating back into society#the lives of those they loved had changed so drastically#chara didnt know their parents split up. they didnt know asgore killed human children or that their mother went into isolation#not until the game events anyways#and when they cam to the surface and saw all of that stuff -in person- as well as how well/poorly one parent was doing over another#theyyyy didnt take it well. like their mother had a new partner (doesnt matter who take your pick) and was raising frisk#and their dad was super mega turbo divorced and depressed and had nothing but his garden#in their mind toriel didnt need them anymore. she had a new partner and a new human kid and chara had served their purpose#so they elected to stay with asgore so he would have Someone anyone in his life and asriel followed#iiittts a huge mess basically. huge emotional landmine mess of insane proportions#undertale#my art#ask

Numinetale Chapter 8
When The Fell Brothers and Love got in the Lab, Nightmare and his gang had came up to “greet” them. “Well, well. Who do we have here?” Nightmare looked at their LV. “Humm. Your LV is crap. But at least you ain't those ‘heroes.’ What do you call each other?”
Edge growled, “Edge, Red, and Love. And we ain't here to join your little LV Gentlemen's Club. Where is our father? We know Fell is here!”
***
Gori hovers his hands over Sweetheart, “It's okay Sweetie, you are going to be okay.” Sweetheart, a Frisk with flowers growing from their body, lifted their arm which Gori grabbed. His Green Magic isn't strong enough and he knows that Sweetheart also knows. But they kept on smiling anyways. “Sis? Is there anything we can do?”
“I can ease their pain, nice and quick.” A pink wearing girl said with a deadpan face.
A tiny Tori made a face of pure disgust, “Mercy killing is not on the cards.” A girl in a shredded purple dress ran to Sweetheart, using her body as a possible shield for a possible attack. “Don't worry Aliza. Betty isn't going to touch Sweetheart.”
A Chara step in, “Stay away from Sweetheart, Betty. Unless you want to have a Bad Time.” An Asriel with a rainbow bandana grabbed the Chara by the arm.
“Hey, Shifty. Your identity is showing. By the way what kind of name is Shifty anyways?” Betty mocked the red head.
Shifty shrugged, “Just borrowing it from a friend who was also borrowing from another friend. To be honest no one knows the real identity of the original Shifty.” Betty scuft, mouthed 'weirdo,’ and walked to the farthest side of their cell. Shifty kneeled down closer to Sweetheart and the others, “Don't trust her, guys. The fact she knew what I meant means she heard it before.”
Tori nodded, “Definitely a Genocide kid.” The door to the room opened, “Speaking of Genocide, here is Death with Geno.” Tori and Shifty left their brothers and Aliza with Sweetheart. “Hey Death? Any news?”
The God of Death opened the cell door and gently gave an unconscious Geno to his friends. “Slim and Black have returned over an hour ago. They ain't talking. Worried their cover will be blown. Sci is in bad shape but still alive. Hyper have a message from outside, 'Get ready. Karma is coming.’ I gotta go. Wait for the signal.” Then he left.
***
Damnit. Damnit. Damnit. Where are they? Yandere looked all over the True Labs and didn't find his spouse. “Never seen a gray skinned human without a face before. Not only that but your SOUL keeps changing color. Interesting.” Fell's voice was coming from the room with the DT Extraction Machine. Yandere followed the voice. The description of the person Fell was talking about sounds like his better half.
***
A month before Yandere and his loving mate fell into a rip. It felt like his universe was ripped to pieces and then put itself back together. He rushed upstairs when he heard a scream from the master bedroom. “Flowery? What happened to me?” There stood a gray faceless creature. “Daisy. Daisy! DAISY!” The creature was saying their panic word as if a thousand of people was saying it insync. Flowery yelled their name only for it to sound like static.
***
Yandere shook his head. Clearing all thoughts of the past. It was hard. Their friends and the monsters were very supportive. But everyone else. The humans denied them as a member of their kind. Yandere shook his head again and looked around through the vents.
Not only was his spouse strapped to a table in front of the god awful mechanical abomination, but a bruised and naked skeleton was lying on the floor in a corner. Fell was more interested in the flower’s spouse than the skeleton that is clearly hurt, most likely from Fell himself.
Yandere moved to the vent closer to the skeleton. “Sci? Wake up, Science.” Sci flinched and opened his eye sockets. Before he said anything, “blink your sockets one for ‘yes’ and two for ‘no’. Okay?” One blink. “Are you okay?” Two blink. “Can you stand?” Two blink. “Okay. I am here with the calvary. Stay still and I will get help.” One blink.
***
Death joined a fellow “villain.” He introduced the other cloaked skeleton as his “quiet brother” to the others. Death kept his hands off this skeleton, not knowing if his companion would survive his touch. Death got the reputation for being a villain because, well, he is the Grim Reaper himself, and no one questioned that the tall hooded man was his Papyrus. No one questioned him period.
“I saw them earlier.” The Reaper reports. “The formal Royal Scientist is coming with some help. Prepare to travel with passengers.” His companion nodded. And left.
***
Then everyone in the Nightmare Squad started to laugh! Dust, a Sans with his hood covering the top of his reddish purple eyes walked up to the Edgy counterparts. “So you are Fell's Sans and Papyrus? Bad news for you, I guess… Just bad.” Dust thrown a collection of bones at Edge, Red, and Love.
Nightmare snickered, “Tell that Goddess of yours that she have to do better than that.” The Nightmare Squad save for Dust walked back to the elevator. “That is if you and your friends can survive.” The elevator door closed. Damnit. They knew they were coming.
***
“Pysst! Pysst!” VI, Sans, and Stretch arrived in the True Lab. Yandere got their attention from a nearby vent. “Some friends of mine can be found in the main cell, a younger Sans that we call Sci and my spouse is with Fell at the DT Extraction Machine, and Red, Edge, and Love are fighting Dust in the lobby.”
“do I even want to know who dust is?” Sans lost all humor in his voice and let out a long sigh when VI shook her head. “the main cell is not far from where we are. the DT Extractor is farther ahead.” Sans eyelights shined brightly for a moment, “yandere? how do you feel about going omega on the true lab?”
Yandere smiled his creepiest smirk, “Start with the Extractor first and work my way up to the main floor?”
“you got it pedals! how fast can you collect the souls needed?”
"Already ahead of ya.”
***
The lobby was a mess. But then again, three skeletons with a good amount of LV battling a psycho with full LV. Of course it would get messy.
Scorched marks and bones scattered everywhere. The three edgy skellys were out if breath even though they didn't have any lungs. They managed to defeat Dust without killing him, simply knocked him out cold.
Dust made two mistakes. The first one was the fact he underestimated three monsters from AUs that lived by a 'kill or be killed’ rule. The second mistake he made was overestimating his own power. It didn't mattered if his LV was 20 when he was outnumbered with three others with LV 8-14.
Love smiled, “i wanna go down there and get sweetheart.”
“HEH!” Edge slapped his new adopted brother's shoulder, “I CAN'T WAIT TO MEET YOUR SOULMATE! BUT WE MUST WAIT FOR OUR FRIENDS.”
“sounds like a plan to me!” Red gave his taller alternet a wink. And pointed his thumb towards the unconscious skeleton, “besides. we gotta get sleeping beauty tied up.”
***
Yandere looked out through the vent. He was debating on how to go Omega without hurting Sci or his spouse. His glasses will definitely be broken after this. Not that his glasses mattered, his Honeypot is what matters.
Best to remove Fell Gaster from the room. But how?
Something wet dripped on his head. Yandere was frozen for a second, the flower turn around slowly and saw…. His dog?
“Endogeny. Good puppies! Did you followed me and Mommy through the AU Rip?” Endogeny was a little smaller compared to their original size thanks to the heat of Hotland and a little bit of DETERMINATION that had revived them when he and his lover, now spouse, gave their ashes to Alphys on the surface five years ago. “Hey? You see that mean skeleton with Mommy?” Yandere smiled at the low growl coming from Endogeny. “Wanna help me get back Mommy?”
***
The sounds of destruction were heard deeper in the labs. “What the hell is going on?” Nightmare and his crew left their prisoners alone with Death and his brother to tell Fell off for destroying their lab.
Black and Slim joined the reapers just as they were unlocking the cell. “welp. time to go.” Everyone turned towards the direction of the familiar voice. Slim and Black gave a sigh of relief at the site of VI, Sans, and Stretch. “everyone ready?”
The Reapers, Stretch and VI took the lead. While Sans, Black, and Slim took the rear. Aliza, Rei (Shifty's Asriel), and Gori were keeping Geno and Sweetheart on their feet. While the smol Tori and the Chara with the green hoodie kept their eyes on any potential threats, including the pink girl with the creepy ass smile.
“Glad to see ya again.” Stretch smiled at the tall Reaper skeleton. “Sorry I couldn't save ya.” The hooded figure nodded and gave Stretch a firm pat on his shoulder.
***
How the hell did an Omega Flowery got this far in!? Not only did he destroyed the DTEM, but have a hold of the gray human and the young Sans. And as if to mock them the Omega was playing with what looks like an Endogeny type of puppy, while at the same time had them at a standstill.
Nightmare gave orders for his crew to follow. Killer tried to stabbed the Omega while Error wrapped the Flowery up with his blue strings. Only for the Flowery snapped the strings and used a vine to toss Killer off of him. Dust was still in the lobby playing around with the Fells. Blood, his brother, and Pred were still in Waterfall. And the Reapers are guarding the kids. And Fell… is utterly useless against an Omega. But where the hell is Black and Slim?! Very convenient that they aren't…
Fuck!
“THE OMEGA IS A DISTRACTION! BACK TO THE MAIN CELL!” Nightmare was outraged. How did he not sense the HOPE from the prisoners? That would be a dead give away that something was up. Also he stopped sensing Dust's emotions a while ago. Dust would have relaid his brother's report by now. Dust was the only one who can see or hear his dead brother, Phantom. Making him the ultimate spy, but he had to play with the Fells!
The Omega broke through, passed the Destroyers using his vines to block the exit. “Wish I can stay, but we have places to be, kids to save. Later losers!” The Omega Flowery used his claws and vines to move thru the corridors that lead to the elevator. The gray human and Science hold on for dear life onto the screen face.
When they made it to the elevator the others were already there. Sans waved them over, “okay, here is the plan. The kids will go through first with the swapfells and the death guys. The rest of you go next while stretch and i are last to go in since he and i can use Karmic Retribution.”
The Chara and Tori gave each other a knowing look before the door open. They stood behind with the second group. As the first group made it to the lobby floor Geno was much more wake and standing up without help. He lend towards Shifty and Tori, “are the kids safe?” His two friends nod. Geno let out a breath smiling, “good, now the three of us don't have to pretend anymore.”
Before Sans and Stretch had a chance to question Geno's statement some of Nightmare's gang started showing up. “Heh. Let's say Karma is always on these guys’ side.” VI winked at Sans and Stretch. Geno, Shifty, and Tori moved in position. “Looks like the Nightmare Gang is going to learn the real meaning of ‘ A BAD TIME.” At those words an army of Blasters and an entire arsenal of bones, flames and red knives was over their heads, revealing that Geno, Tori, and Shifty are all Judges.
Luckily for the second group the elevator door opened. The second group, including Yandere (who is no longer in Omega form), got in while the five Judges and VI stayed behind. “Go! We will slow them down and teleport back afterwards!”
***
When the second group joined the others in the main floor they were surprised that the kids was nowhere to be seen. Only ones to meet them was Love, the Fells and a very angry Dust tied to a chair. At the sight of Sweetheart, Love picked them up and showered them with skelly kisses and words of affection. Sweetheart smiled when they recognized his voice and build. Sadly Edge had to break their heartfelt reunion. “Sorry Brother Love, but we have to get Sweetheart and the others to the river.”
When they arrived at the river one of Death Bros was there waiting with a very familiar ferry boat, "Tra la-la! Come on and meet Charon, my friends."
"are you kidding me! you're a river person?" Red looked at his brothers, "are you guys seeing what I am seeing?"
"RED, I THINK THIS PERSON IS MORE THEN WHAT HIS APPEARS TO BE. ESPECIALLY IF HE IS TRAPPED IN THE VOID AS WE ARE." Edge stepped onboard and took Sweetheart out of Love's arms so he can also get on.
Once everyone was in the ferry boat. It took off towards Snowdin. It moved faster and faster. Running on top of the water.
"Thanks for saving us FlowJo." The gray human said as they were hugging the glasses wearing Flowery.
"flowjo?" Red tilted his head towards the flower, "i thought ya name was yandere?"
"My spouse calls me FlowJo." Yandere smiled, "Not my fault everyone else called me that stupid nickname." Yandere Flowery gave a deep breath and sighed, "Believe it or not, I am the only Flowery that actually found love. Actually, that is not necessarily true. There was once an endless amount of Flowerys that fell in love with a human with a color changing SOUL before something happened to our AU's timelines. My Sans' theory was that many timelines that mirrored my AU fused together."
"Making you the only Flowery that commit to a marriage deed. And how your human became gray, faceless, and free." The River Person looked on, "Tra la-la! The Multiverse is a mystery even for me!"
***
The lab from the inside-out got trashed. The Au Destroyers couldn't keep up with the Judges and Soulless Goddess. VI grabbed Sans and Stretch and led them back home with the others by 'shortcut.'
"EVERYONE THROUGH THE FOG!" No one remembered which Judge yelled that. But it got everyone on their feet and running through the fog that separates Snowdin and Waterfall. And in the nick of time too.
Tori looked behind her and the others to see the Nightmare Crew right behind them. Only for them to hit the barrier like a murder of crows hitting a window.
"that was satisfying..." Geno smiled and started to walk farther inside the fog, "hope the kids made it."
Tori then started to run, "Shit! We left Sweetheart and Aliza with Betty!"
Swifty, Geno, and the others started to run as well. Except VI who stood there with a cunning thought, "Bete Noire? That gives me a wonderful idea."

Backstory Ask meme, numbers 1-6?
BACKSTORY ASK MEME
1. How did you first come up with your muse’s backstory, if you did at all?
I'm going to put this answer at the end because it's going to get long.
2. If your muse is from a particular show/movie/comic/etc. , how did you first react when you first found out about your muse’s backstory?
Haaa, I honestly wish I remember. I honestly can't even explain why I find Gaster fascinating or even why I chose to write him. I just do. I literally don't have an explanation and... it's kinda weird, tbh.
3. Is your muse’s backstory relatable to you?
Honestly? Not really! I mean, I can find bits and pieces that are similar but, honestly? He's had a rough life. To put it mildly. He experiences and has been through a lot that I haven't. I can sympathize, but it's honestly not something that's relatable to me, as I've thankfully had a fairly good life.
4. Would you rewrite your muse’s backstory? If so, how?
There's been a few parts that I've considered rewriting, mainly because I feel Inferior to other portrayals of Gaster, but as it stands I've held my ground and there's nothing I'm particularly dying to change.
5. What song reminds you of your muse’s backstory?
Echo, probably. It's cliché as fuck but I'm really terrible at associating music to things. Or associating anything, really.
6. Does anything fit your muse’s backstory aesthetically?
I usually use a lot of black vs white vs grey to represent Gaster. Not only because it's his own color scheme, but Symbolically of the good he wants to do, the evil he ends up doing, plus the battle of Determination vs Void, etc. What Gaster used to be, what he wants to be, what he's becoming, what he currently is.
1. How did you first come up with your muse’s backstory, if you did at all?
Hold onto your butts.
The thing with Dr. Gaster is that we get a few key points in canon, and that's about it. We know he was the Royal Scientist before Alphys, that he was incredibly intelligent, that he was destroyed by his own creation, that he created the CORE, and that he's 'scattered through space and time,' whatever that's supposed to mean.
I think as far as canon goes, that's all we get. Entry No. 17 is in Wingdings and assumed to be related to Dr. Gaster, because his initials are W.D. and people assume it stands for Wingdings, due to the precedence of Sans and Papyrus. Plus the MysteryMan, who most people assume is Dr. Gaster, but there's no real evidence either way.
The portrayals I were really interested in were the ones that portrayed this being as some eldritch creature beyond understanding, outside reality, that can toy with the world; sometimes appearing against Genocide Frisk / Chara, sometimes maliciously attacking whatever else in sight.
Restoring Dr. Gaster from his predicament is common in a lot of different fanon, so that was actually the starting point for development of this version.
In the original roleplay where I developed this character, Gaster had isolated some superpowered humans, tricking them into thinking the world was ending so he could nab their souls, steal their Determination, ???, profit.
It was a pretty natural extension of what we see from Flowey that something that’s Soulless, or in Gaster’s case, missing most of his Soul, doesn’t exactly act... friendly.  He’s acting irrationally, acting in his own self interest, and not really caring about the impacts of his actions so long as he gets what he wants.  This remains the foundation of Unbound Form.
In this original RP, he also tricked one of the human protagonists into absorbing his soul and merging their minds.  Upon doing so, he regained most of his clarity and I got a much better first look at who Dr. Gaster actually was.  The first thing that stood out to me was a lot of fear.
It’s a pretty common headcanon that Gaster was among those who was on the surface originally.  And given that he’s a scientist, the idea of him being a fighter--at least back then, didn’t really want to fight, didn’t really understand what was happening--why are they killing us? why can’t we live in peace?  why is this happening to me?
We see most monsters desperately wanting to return to the surface, but then you think about what Sans talks about to the human--good food, good friends, good laughs; is leaving really worth it?
So I started to think about a monster that didn’t want to leave the Underground.  Who so desperately just wanted to be safe, who wanted to build a paradise for monsters without humanity being involved.
Someone who was so deeply terrified of humans, so deeply terrified of the war.
This proved to be convenient, too--as it allowed Alphys’s discoveries to be her own, and allowed Gaster’s to be his own.  I’m all for reinserting Gaster into the timeline, but that doesn’t mean he needs to take credit for things other characters did.
The exact details for this would come later.
For now I was working on his fall and shattering.  I know a lot of people portray the CORE as a really dangerous place, where one wrong step will send you careening over the edge, but it never made sense to me.  Gaster is smart, Gaster knows the power of his own inventions.  I couldn’t imagine him ever exposing something that dangerous.
So then I added in this idea that the CORE shifts around on its own.  Of course, it’s meant to just be another puzzle.  But the idea that it could double as a means to reduce stress from the intense heat of the CORE gave me a unique opening:  It meant that there was a brief time when the CORE’s... core was exposed and Gaster could fall.
Gaster may be meticulous and careful, but he can also be distracted and impatient, which lead to the accident of him disregarding the safety features and falling anyways.
As for his survival, the obvious culprit is Determination.  In fact, it was so obvious that my roleplay partner figured it out before I even revealed it.  The very thing that Gaster was trying to get in the roleplay all along, ... he already had!
Rather than make up some reason why Gaster would have Determination, either naturally or through experimentation, I chose to take inspiration from the Undyne fight and essentially say that Monsters are capable of producing Determination through willpower if their soul is falling apart but they’re managing to live on.
...
Of course, Monsters and Determination don’t get along.  So that implied to me that something ... was missing.
The answer then was the Void.
Despite being an almost universal concept in the Undertale fandom, I’ve never really seen an explanation for what it is.  Since the Void is so commonly associated with nothingness, emptiness, darkness, etc., I made the decision to make it the counter-force of Determination.  Where Determination is the force that allows a soul to live past its demise, Void is the force that tries to push a soul to death.
And I decided to push it bigger.
We know that enough Determination allows one to alter fate and time.  Obviously.  It’s the entire premise of Undertale.  But... why?
So I decided that Determination is not only the force that pushes Souls to exist, but the very force that pushes time forward.  Ergo, when a soul possesses more Determination than the timeline itself, they become capable of seizing control of the flow of time and can manipulate time itself to their will.
In that case, Void would then become the force that seeks to end timelines, the controlling force, the force that prevents timelines from growing indefinitely and colliding into one another.  It’s a buffer, the space that exists ambiently between timelines.  The junkyard where anything that doesn’t belong to time gets yeeted.
And suddenly it sounded a lot like the general fandom’s interpretation.
Now, it’s easy to think, oh, the Void wants to destroy everything, it’s bad and Determination is good.  But, just as the Genocide route shows us the evil power of Determination, the Void does good as well.  As any gardener or oncologist knows, things growing indefinitely is not good.
And if a timeline remains stable by the ongoing push and pull of Determination and Void, I had my solution for how Gaster remains stable.  Each piece of him produces Determination that’s kept in chack by Void that’s integrated into his soul.
So I had that explanation.
But how did his soul end up in pieces?
...Is anyone actually reading this?  It’s ... pretty long.  I’m going to cut it off here.  If anyone wants to hear the rest of it send in an ask and I’ll finish typing it up lmao.

My Thoughts When Heroes Become Anti-Heroes
first we knows how The Ending of The End Part 1 to 2 went down...
even if both episodes were still awesome, one part of it wasn't so great... and that is the whole turning Cozy, Tirek and Chrysalis to stone... and yet Discord was the one who started it in the first place.... Celestia, Luna and Discord really couldn't of just I don't know, maybe had the three go to the Human World
that Sunset lives, since Sunset appeared in The Last Problem, it means that she is canon. didn't they learn the last few times that stone spell was used, that it doesn't truly solve anything.
what it might do, is cause Cozy, Chrysalis and Tirek to form Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. or PTSD for short, but it shouldn't be mistaken for the other types of PTSD that doesn't have "Stress" in their names.
I believe that Fiona Fox had PTSD, and even if he might not show it, I believe that Scourge The Hedgehog could of had Post Traumatic Stress Disorder as well. plus it is possible that the relationship of Scourge and Fiona, wasn't pure "in love" feelings.
but at the same time, they could of still cared for each other, but what they thought was romantic feelings, was more likely knowing how it feels to be hurt by those who called themselves "good guys".... Fiona was hurting, and it only got worse when the other freedom fighters didn't understand that and had distrust for her.
I believe that she had enough and turned back to her old ways, because she wasn't welcome by the freedom fighters. yes I believe now, that Fiona and Scourge's relationship, to be a toxic relationship.
I also want to say that I don't blame Lauren for that Ending of The End Part 1 to 2.
I know they didn't have anything to do with that, but I guess I shouldn't blame those who had Discord, Celestia and Luna pull a Anti-Hero move....
and I know some fans think it was 100% okay that it happen that way.
but I and a few other fans will have to disagree on that.
plus if Chrysalis already had PTSD, then being placed in stone, might make it much worse than it is now.
I can't agree with Anti-Hero moves that some characters make. like when Star Butterfly decides to destroy the magic, the last episodes were still awesome, even to the end where dimensions become one and the same.
but placing the blame on the magic, that HER FAMILY misused, is NOT okay. that is just as bad as the Player/Frisk making Chara the scapegoat, which gave birth to the AU versions of Chara where they truly do use Frisk,
but in the canon it isn't Chara who starts the whole Geno Routes.
Star could of came up with a spell to kill Mina and The rest of the Solarian Warriors that Moon help make.
but even that would be going too far, but making the Magic the scapegoat, when it was her family that kept misusing it, was not okay.
I don't think I will ever understand why they had to have characters from both SVTFOE and MLPFIM pull Anti-Hero moves.
we know that there will be Anti-Heroes and Anti-Villains. take Optimus Prime from TFA, even if Starscream did place a small device on Megatron to go Boom. it wasn't him that caused Megatron to be thrown out the ship, that was Optimus. so even if Starscream did cause Megatron to become injured, it was Optimus who caused Megatron to be fully destroyed, and his head ending up in Sumdac's Lab.
Optimus even tried to place the blame on Starscream when he was Lockdown's captive.
plus it isn't like the Autobots are all innocent, because of how the Decepticons became "The Decepticons" in the first place. even if in most of the Transformers Timelines, the history of how the Decepticons formed because of mistreatment, might not be in all the timelines, but it could of still be placed in some timelines.
and yet most Autobots think they are the innocent, but really they aren't, well the Autobots that just became Autobots that had nothing to do with what happen during when the two factions first formed, it is the new generation of both Autobots and Decepticons that are 100% innocent from what the first Autobots and Decepticons have started.
Homeworld Gems and Autobots are kind of the same, same goes for Decepticons and Crystal Gems being the same. but there is still differences too, the Crystal Gems wanted to protect the life growing on Earth. and Autobots well, if the Autobots truly did force the Decepticons from Cybertron in Transformers Animated... then they are no better than how the Homeworld Gems use to be, but at least they reformed. yes the Crystal Gems was able to force The Homeworld Gems off of Earth, but a lot of gems on both sides ended up hurt. Lapis wasn't even a Crystal Gem during that time, and she ended up hurt by both sides. it is possible she had formed PTSD when she was mirror.
Steven's Mom, was both a Good & Bad person....she caused problems that Steven felt he needed to fix.
and at some point Steven ended up in a dark place, I'm not sure if he ended up with PTSD, but we do know that because of what he went through and his Mother's actions, it caused him to view her different, and even started to see his Dad being just like her.
even if Greg was both Good & Bad like Rose, his view of his parents couldn't been right. there are two sides to every story, and Greg might of not seen the full picture on why his parents treated him the way they did.
Steven wasn't really a Anti-Hero, but more like a Hero who was becoming emotionally hurt. just when he was becoming better, his Dad made him go right back to feeling really bad.
and with the money that Greg got from his old partner Marty, he could of taken Steven to the hospital or even send him to school.
well send him to school or get someone to come to Steven's home to teach him, because not everyone is able to handle school.
I mean if both teachers and other students give off too much energies, it could cause seizures to those who are sensitive to energies, from both people and some supernaturals.
such energies causing a person to form seizures can be misdiagnosed, which of course will have doctors who don't know anything about those kind of seizures,
to get ya medicine that you freaking didn't need in the first place, all ya did need is to get as far away from the town and people that were giving off such dangerous energies,
and maybe get some gems to protect you from energies even in the new less negative place you end up living at next.
we can see Energies as Magical Energies, and they can be dangerous to those
who are very sensitive to them if they are not of their own Magic Energy.
I asked my pendulum if unicorns are real, and it gave me a "Yes"
I even asked if I was a Unicorn with Wings in one of my past lives, and it gave me a Yes....
so since Unicorns with Wings are called Alicorns in this day and age,
it means I was technically a Alicorn in one of my past lives, I mean if it isn't one of my pendulum's pranks. but being reborn as a animal and not just a human, might be good....but I think I rather just be reborn as a human. my pendulum even gave me a Yes, when I asked if I was a Dire Wolf in one of my past lives. and it seems in both my lives of being a Dire Wolf and Unicorn With Wings (also known as a Alicorn today.) I was always Female, well biologically female.
I kind of hope that my being a Dire Wolf and Alicorn in one of my past lives, isn't one of my pendulum's pranks.
I hope that no one takes this the wrong way, but I don't EVER want to be reborn as a Male Human....
or Male anything, I guess it be find if I was reborn as a Female who happen to be Intersex.
but I really don't want to be reborn as a Male, I have my reasons....
I mean even if there can be Male Humans I can trust, most of my past life problems have been caused by Men...
and it is good thing I can't remember it, but I think it can be possible for someone to remember a little...
I know that most of my past life problems were caused by Females too...
my pendulum gave me a Yes,
when I asked if I was aborted in one of my past lives.
(but it could be pulling a prank about that, or it could be true.)
but I just don’t think I would be comfortable being reborn as a Male....
also I asked my pendulum, and the little girl who is known as Rosalia Lombardo is in fact haunting her body,
but her soul is not in the body itself, the soul and the body of Rosalia Lombardo that is being persevered, are bonded....so if the reborn soul of Rosalia is alive today, they would be unknowingly haunting their past life body.
so if it is true, then any time someone sees a persevered body open their eyes, it is because of them being bonded to their soul that has a new body and went through rebirth.
I asked my pendulum if I am Rosalia Lombardo's reincarnation, and it gave a Yes. but it could be one of it's pranks, but still I guess it could possibly be true... the yellow bow on top of Rosalia's head is really cute, but if it is true that we are one and the same soul.
that would mean that Rosalia was a Earth Angel.
I even asked my pendulum if the Rosalia body only opens their eyes when I sleep, and it gave a Yes.
but it could be joking about that, I mean it isn't like that is true...at least I think it isn't.
so if a persevered body who's soul has left that body, open their eyes. it could be because of the bond of the soul and it's original body. if I had to, I would pray that I stop haunting that body I use to be the home of my soul....
I can take a guess what would happen if I do so, I don't know if my pendulum is being truthful or not,
but I asked it if I do just that, will it caused my past life body to turn to dust, and it gave a Yes.
I'm not really sure if it is true, but I think it might be for the best to at least try, even if people might be upset. but if it is true that body was me in a past life, then I have a right to stop myself from haunting it.
it is time for that part of myself be given true peace, I'm not even sure it will even happen, but if it does, then I guess my pendulum wasn't pulling a prank on me about Rosalia Lombardo aka "The Sleeping Beauty" being my past life self...I mean if it is true, but there is a chance that it is one of it's pranks.
anyway after I post this up, I will get to work on praying that I stop haunting my past life body of Rosalia Lombardo.
I mean if it is true, but it could turn out my pendulum is just on one of it's prank kicks....
anyway back to the whole Anti-Hero talk, I still can't agree with the whole Anti-Hero move that happen in MLPFIM or SVTFOE,
even if the last episodes of those two shows were still awesome and good, but I can't agree with Magic taking the fall for those who had misused it,
or Discord getting away with what he did, and Cozy, Chrysalis and Tirek ending up as the scapegoats.
also it is possible that the power of the element of harmony, do not have the power to turn living beings to stone.
this spell could only be done by those who know a stone spell, and the elements of harmony can only heal and bring those who have been turned to stone back to flesh.
when Cozy, Chrysalis and Tirek are turned to stone, they are turned that way by Discord, Luna and Celestia. not the elements of harmony or those who truly represent them, and from what we can understand, there is more than one Tree of Harmony.
it can very well be possible that there is a Tree of Harmony in the human world that Sunset now calls home.
what if Moondancer was suppose to be one who was suppose to become the Princess of Friendship, not Twilight?
what if Sunset was suppose to be part of the elements of harmony in her original world, but then when she started to form friendships in the human world, she started to become one of the elements of harmony in that world instead. what if Bubbly Hooves (also known by Derpy Hooves, but I like calling her by one of her other names which is "Bubbly" now, because it seems better.) is Loyalty, Vinyl Scratch is Generosity and Octavia Melody is Inspiration, well I think it could be possible....
but what if Moondancer, Sunset Shimmer, Vinyl Scratch, Octavia Melody, Doctor Chrono Whooves, Amethyst Star, Lyra Heartstrings and Sweetie "Bonbon" Drops were suppose to find the elements of harmony instead of Twilight and her friends?
but that would possibly be in a Alternate Timeline, but I can't help but think that Sci-Twi might really be the counterpart of Moondancer.
don't misunderstand, and just think I believe that because of them both wearing glasses, I wear glasses too you know.
but I think it is possible that the Twilight we have known from Season 1, might really be different.... Twilight could of been given memories of Moondancer, who was truly the one that hatched Spike's egg.
the Twilight we know as Sci-Twi, might be Moondancer's twin sister and Twilight Velvet and Night Light, could be Moondancer's real parents who's memories were altered. Twilight Sparkle could really be a Magical Pony Homunculus that was created. the real Twilight Sparkle who would then be Sci-Twi, ended up taken from her real family and given to homunculus clones of just her father, mother and older brother, then taken to the human world to live there. while Moondancer was given to a pony who was the niece of her mother Twilight Velvet.
it's fine that no one agrees about that theory, but what if it were true.... that the Princess Twilight we known for so long, turned out to be a clone/homunculus that replaced Sci-Twi? maybe that would be better in a Fanon Alternate Timeline.
there is no way that would be canon, I mean fanon yes, but it wouldn't be canon...
no one has to agree with me or others who believe that Cozy, Tirek and Chrysalis were wronged, and the whole turning them to stone was a Anti-Hero move...if the elements did in fact heal them, and doesn't have the power to turn them or any living being to stone, this power might very well be magic that can only be done by those who know the spell for it.
so yeah I now believe that the elements of harmony can not truly turn someone to stone, but are able to heal and bring back those who were turned to stone.
it be kind of interesting if my pendulum was being truthful about one of my past lives being a winged unicorn, which is known now as a Alicorn. like I said many times before, it tend to pull pranks when it isn't being truthful.
so if nothing happens to the Rosalia Lombardo-Body, after I pray to Divine Father & Mother for me to stop haunting it and for my original body be given true peace, then I think I will go watch season 2 of Transformers Animated.
I had been watching some cartoons on my Xbox, well DVDs on my Xbox.
like Sonic Underground, it be nice if Sonia and Manic became canon in the Sega games of Sonic The Hedgehog.
once again my pendulum giving me a Yes, about me being Rosalia Lombardo’s reincarnation, could very well be one of it’s pranks.
but I don’t think I should ignore it if it turns out it isn’t pranking me.
and if it turns out every time I go to sleep, the eyes of Rosalia start to open.
my pendulum gave a Yes, when I asked if Rosalia’s father having persevered the body was a sin, and it went clockwise fast for Yes.
I asked my pendulum, and it seems that preserving a Earth Angel’s original body, is a sin...so Rosalia’s father who had someone persevere the body,
committed a sin, so if my pendulum isn’t pulling a prank on me and it giving a “Yes” or “No” is true.
then it means that the eyes that open on persevere bodies,
are being haunted by their reincarnations, and when their reincarnations sleep, the eyes do open....
I mean it is still possible that my pendulum is pulling a prank about that.
but that would be interesting for some kind of story.
but I’m still gonna pray that I no longer haunt my supposedly original body,
but if nothing happens, like the persevere body doesn’t turn to dust by some miracle after I do pray for myself to no longer haunt or be bonded to that original body I had in a past life, then I will know that my pendulum was just pulling a prank on me.
again even though I really love MLPFIM and SVTFOE,
but I just can’t agree with the Anti-Hero actions that happen in the final seasons.
I do hope to get a real complete series DVD of Star Vs The Forces of Evil.
it isn’t fair that it is only on Prime Videos, where you can either only buy a episode or season, and it sure isn’t gonna be send to you by mail.
which really sucks, because I would like to get a DVD box of SVTFOE.
and hopefully they don’t make it too expensive.
not everyone can go past $100...
I’m thinking of changing my tumblr name, but I still want to make sure others still know it’s me, so I could save the original name by writing it down on my tumblr page.
I guess I can think about it a bit more.
I think after I do pray the prayer that I need to do.
I will check out some stuff on here after doing that, and then I will go and watch Season 2 of Transformers Animated.
and maybe watch a Movie with family too.
once again it be nice if it turned out my pendulum wasn’t pulling a prank
about one of my past lives being a Winged Unicorn, plus it be even more awesome if the whole me being a Dire Wolf in one of my past lives would be really REALLY awesome.
but I still think I would like to be reborn as human, even if some humans are not all that great....I have a better chance living a bit longer as a human than as a animal....because you know, how most humans treat animals...
but if my pendulum is being truthful, Earth Angels don’t reborn as Animals anymore....
I asked my pendulum and it gave a No.
but it’s fine that no one thinks this is true or agrees about it.
I mean some people still believe that Lucifer and Satan are one and the same,
but there not.
but even if it were true that Lucifer is the true father of Cain,
he still ain’t the boss of me, and I’m still technically rebelling against him.
because of me having started to once in a while,
pray that the Anti-Christ never fulfills the prophecy, and their power keeps sealed and they just live a normal life and find happiness.
I can only hope that my pendulum is joking about the whole Lord of Terror.
I asked my pendulum if the Lord of Terror is biologically female,
and it gave a Yes.
well the Lord of Terror from Sgt Frog is female.
I asked the pendulum if the Anti-Christ is biologically male, and it gave a Yes.
seriously it is fine that no one believes about it.
my pendulum gives me Yes or No replies by how it moves.
so blame it on my pendulum, not me.
according to my pendulum, the reason why the Lord of Terror prophecy wasn’t fulfilled, was because she was not in the place where it would be fulfilled.
which might be a good thing, that is if it were true...
but I’m still gonna hope that the info I asked about the lord of terror, isn’t 100% true and my pendulum is just pulling a prank.
I’m also gonna pray for the Vaccines to help everyone,
anyway it’s fine that those who are either Religious or Atheist,
don’t agree about my believing most of the things that my pendulum gives a Yes or No to, plus even though I had discovered I was never truly a Christian in the first place, I can still believe in God.
but I also believe in The Divine Mother Goddess too.
according to my pendulum, I'm a Priestess of The Ma-Acolyte Religion.
it gave me a Yes when I asked that.
but I don’t think there will be many Ma-Acolytes, and I’m fine with that.
I’m not gonna try to convert others...
like I said before, converting should be of someone’s free will.
and I think those who are Christian, Jewish and other religion,
who aren’t part of the toxic side, will agree that it is wrong to force convert others.
also even if some might not agree about my feelings about it,
I don’t think it’s right to shun those who choose to leave Amish Community for good or the Amish’s religion.
I don’t think it is wrong for someone who is formerly part of the community, to want to visit their family who are still part of the community.
but that whole shunning them for wanting to no longer be part of it, doesn’t seem right.
according to my pendulum, it is wrong.
it gave a Yes about it being wrong, but even if I do reveal the answer it gives me, it isn’t like others will even agree about it.
those who are Amish, do not have to agree with others...
or what the other answers that my pendulum gave me the answers about those who live in a Amish Community, which I wish not to say at this time.
and I can only hope my pendulum is just pulling a mean prank.
but it could be possible that my pendulum might not be pulling a prank,
when it gave a Yes about the shunning being a sin.
it is possibly true, but we can only hope my pendulum is just pulling a prank.
anyway I’m not sure if anyone will even read this, I know I got off topic when talking about how I don’t agree with the Anti-Hero actions that happen in the last seasons of SVTFOE and MLPFIM.
once again I don’t blame the creator of MLPFIM for what happen in the two part episodes of the last season of MLPFIM.
turning anyone to stone or even placing them into a Crystal Prison,
just because they seem evil, doesn’t seem right.
some times villains become villains because of wrong actions of the hero.
I still believe that it is possible that Cozy, Tirek and Chrysalis
could form Post Traumatic Stress Disorder,
and if Tirek and Chrysalis already had it, it could become far worse once they get let out of their stone prison.
if those three were truly evil, then they wouldn’t of showed signs of them starting to feel the magic of friendship when they were working together.
but because of their bad experience to the magic of friendship,
they shake it off and reject it, but even if they do this, it doesn’t mean they did not still form the magic of friendship between the three of them.
someone who was truly evil, would of not acted the way they did when they started to feel good about working together and being together.
I don’t believe Discord should of got away with what he did.
and I don’t agree about the ponies locking up the original monster fauna away in the same place they put Tirek...
even if no one agrees about the theory, and that is okay with me.
but I still believe that it is possible the Old Equestria,
could of been that broken land of snow that is right next to Storm King’s Castle.
and the land that New Equestria is,
was the home of Tirek, the Monster-Fauna and the Crystal Empire being the original home of the Changelings, who use to look like the forms they have now to the end of the show.
but after their home was taken by Earth Ponies turned into Crystal Ponies,
and being far away from the Crystal Heart that feeds them and they in turn give back to the Crystal Heart, the Changelings starve and their bodies turn into their starve forms that we first see in their first appearance in the show.
the Pony Tribes that use to live in Old Equestria, did have a Tree of Harmony,
but because of the tribes fighting with each other and bringing too much disharmony, I believe that their Tree of Harmony could of created those Windigos to punish the ponies.
so when the Ponies of the different tribes moved away from their destroyed home of Old Equestria, the Windigos followed them.
still acting on their purpose given to them by the Tree of Harmony that created them....well that is my theory...it be interesting if that turned out to be true.
like the only way the ponies could break the curse, is if they return to their ancestors original home land of old equestria and they ask that Tree of Harmony for forgiveness.
but what if that Tree had transformed into a Tree of Disharmony,
and it had created not only the Elements of Disharmony, but also Discord?
okay that idea about a formerly tree of harmony turned disharmony,
having created Discord, could be more like Fanon
and might not be canon at all.
but if it were true, that would mean the Ponies from the Old Equestria
were partly responsible for Discord’s birth into existence.
anyway I better not make this any more longer than it already is.
even if you all don’t have to agree about my feelings about how those two shows ended, or how my pendulum gives me a Yes or No to the questions I asked it.
but I hope you all can respect my different view.
I can only hope that some stuff I asked my pendulum is just pranks.
like the Year truly being 3021.
or the whole Aliens from the Game Mass Effect being real, and the game is based off of the real races that are in a real life citadel.
it can’t keep up that prank up forever...
or the prank it pulls about two of the races that appear from that game,
being part of my heritage.
if it were true, then they would of made contact by now.
my pendulum is still giving me a Yes about the Krogan Race living on the Planet Mars in real life.
it can’t keep up the prank about me having Salarian and Quarian heritage forever....it has to give a No at some point.
my pendulum is still giving a Yes to my question about Gaster being real,
and he implanted the idea of Undertale and Deltarune in Toby Fox’s mind.
it once again gave another Yes to both of those questions.
but it could very well be a prank, so it can’t keep up those pranks forever.
anyway I’m just gonna hurry up and post this up,
and check some stuff out on here, and then I will pray to no longer haunt one of my past life bodies that is known as sleeping beauty, then I will go watch Transformers Animated and later a Movie.
once again it is possible my pendulum is pulling a prank about Rosalia being one of my past lives, and the body being persevere was a sin and it caused some form of bond between the two bodies, even if the soul is in a new body.
well according to what I asked my pendulum.
but if the body that is Rosalia, doesn’t turn to dust after I pray for myself to no longer be bonded to it or haunt it, then I will know if nothing happens to it, then I will know my pendulum was just pulling one of it’s pranks.
so yeah thanks for listening, see ya later and stay safe everyone.
and if anyone uses a pendulum, and your pendulum pulls pranks at times.
just take some food salt, pray for it be truthful and also for the negative energy to be cleansed from it, then throw the salt that you prayed with in your hands,
on to the pendulum and leave it alone until maybe a few hours or until the next day.
it seems to work for me, and I have been doing that every once in a while.
but it’s fine that not everyone does it, and it is just me that does it.

Chapter 3
Undyne was right behind him.
Norman ran along the piers in the Waterfall. Energy spears shot up from the ground, never quite hitting him but always getting closer than he wanted them to be.  The floor was splitting below him.
He reached a dead end. Undyne’s footsteps, loud metal clacking on wood, slowed. She knew it was a dead end too.
He turned and saw her take one more step, right where her spears had splintered the wood already. There was a sickening cracking noise as the bridge collapsed. He fell.
“It sounded like it came from over here…Oh! You’ve fallen down, haven’t you? Are you okay? Here, get up…Chara, huh? That’s a nice name. My name is—”
He was awake before he could hear the last part of that.
It took Norman a minute to regain his bearings. He had landed on a patch of golden flowers, the same kind that were in the Ruins. Above head, he could make out just the faintest rays of the sun. He was still in the Underground.
What was that? It was too vivid to be a dream, he realized, and he did not think he had fallen asleep anyway. It was more like a vision. He did not recall having visions, but for some reason, the idea felt right in his head. If he could see ghosts, anything was possible, he supposed.
There was no point of worrying about it now. If it was a vision, it had not told him enough to make sense of it. Norman picked himself up and continued forward.
There was no better way to describe the things that emerged from the ground: they were zombies. They looked as ever bit grotesque as the art in Norman’s room depicted them; pale green skin that should have rotted, skeletal limbs and organs that should be spilling out.
The FIGHT began.
The Cat ran in-between Frisk and the zombies, hair sticking on ends and a hiss in his throat. He stood ready to pounce at the first sign of conflict. Without thinking about it, Frisk ran a CHECK on the closest one.
????? 80 ATK 80 DEF
He’s been asleep for a long time. It’s not his fault.
The zombie lurched forward, but did not otherwise attack. He would not attack them straight out, Frisk realized.  So they decided to ACT.
*CHECK                          *TALK
*CONSOLE                      *CRITISIZE
*STEAL WIG
Hi! I’m F-R-I-S-K! They signed quickly, ending with a little wave.
The zombies gave her a confused look. Maybe they didn’t understand signing. Frisk reached for their notebook and wrote it down during the zombie’s turn.
The zombie with the wig leaned into it, old eyes struggling to read it. He reached for the notebook and pen.
JUDGE HOPKINS 80 ATK 80 DEF
He’s been asleep for a long time. He did what he had to do.
The place Norman had landed in was a Dump. Most of the garbage had been kept in bins and bags, but quite a bit was flowing through the pond freely. Norman could make out some things that were clearly monster-made, like gloves for six-fingered folk and a jar of construction paper labelled “Temmy Flaeks.” Most of it, however, looked like it came from above; coolers, desktop computers with empty contents, DVD cases with desperate claw marks covering the surface.
Norman was so absorbed in looking for the human-made things that he hardly noticed when the Training Dummy jumped in front of him.
“HAHAHAHA…Too intimidated to fight me, huh!?” said the Dummy. “I am a ghost that lives inside a DUMMY. My cousin used to live inside a dummy, too. Until…YOU CAME ALONG!”
He barely remembered the Dummy, all the way back in the Ruins. Toriel had just told him to talk to it.  It did not even answer back.
“What did I do?” Norman asked.
“When you talked to them, they thought they were in for a nice chat,” Said the Dummy. “But the things you SAID…! Horrible. Shocking! UNBELIEVABLE!”
Norman may not have remembered the Dummy very well, but he knew that all he did was ask him how the weather was before Toriel said that was good enough.
“It spooked them right out of their dummy!  HUMAN! I’ll scare your Soul out of your body!”
Mad Dummy blocks the way.
“Listen, I didn’t mean—“ Norman started.
He stopped as a series of dummy-shaped bullets were fired his way. He jumped out of the way. He jumped back as they spun around like boomerangs and rushed back to him.
“OWWWW, you DUMMIES!! Watch where you’re aiming you MAGIC attacks!” the dummy cried.  “Wait…forget I said that!”
Another set of bullets fired towards him, but Norman easily dodged them and watched them fire back at the Mad Dummy.
“HEY GUYS!” The Mad Dummy shouted as he summoned his next round of bullets. “Dummies. Dummies! DUMMIES! YOU’RE FIRED! YOU’RE ALL BEING REPLACED!!!”
The dummy bullets faded out of existence with sheepish expressions,
“Now you’ll see my real power,” said the Mad Dummy. “Relying on people that aren’t garbage!”
Mechanical whirs filled the room. Norman tried to talk him down again. He didn’t seem much for conversation. Nobody was happy with this.
The next set of bullets appeared, bulkier and boxier than the others. Norman jumped out of the way like the others, only to turn around and find they were still chasing him down. He ran forward, coming face to nuzzle with the Mad Dummy as they lost course and plowed into it.
“DUMMY BOTS! You’re awful???” the Mad Dummy cried.
More missiles were launched towards Norman, and he found himself running in circles. A few more hit the Mad Dummy.
“Who cares. Who cares! WHO CARES!!! I DON’T NEED FRIENDS!”
The dummy bots vanished, and were replaced with a single large bullet.
“I GOT KNIVES!!!”
The knife landed by Norman’s feet.
“I’m…out of knives.”
More bullets filled the field, but not the ones the Mad Dummy used. Most of them faded out before they got close to Norman, instead landing on the Mad Dummy and sizzling.
“Wh-what the heck is this? Acid rain?” said the Mad Dummy. “Oh FORGET IT! I’m outta here!”
The Mad Dummy slipped past Norman and back out into the fields of worthless garbage.
“…sorry, I interrupted you, didn’t I? as soon as I came over, your friend immediately left…oh no, it looked like you guys were having fun…oh no………………………………………………………………………………..”
There was a storm brewing in Blithe’s Hollow. As soon as the sun set and the dead rose, there was a chill in the air. Storm clouds hung in the air, crackling with thunder. Frisk could just make out the shapes that formed as they swirled. But it was not just a storm; that much was obvious. There was a type of pressure on their Soul, the same they usually felt as a Fight started. Something else was going on.
After a long back and forth conversation between two people that could not talk and two games of tic-tac-toe, Frisk understood better. The witch was not buried with the judges. They would have to find her grave, and start from there. Judge Hopkins was the only one, possibly ever, who knew where she was buried, so he led the way.
The town was deathly still. What was once packed with ghosts and people now only held a few cars and bystanders. The only sign that there was still life were the neon signs and traffic lights.
For some reason, that scared the zombies the most.
I know, gas prices have gone too high, Frisk wrote down in the notebook, because it seemed like a smart thing to say.
Jude Hopkins snatched the notebook from them and began writing furiously. He had filled nearly a page when they first heard the screams.
“well…I’m gonna go head home now…” said Napstablook. “oh…feel free to ‘come with’ if you want…but no pressure…”
“I don’t want to impose,” said Norman.
“neither do I…” said Napstablook.
They didn’t seem much for conversation. Nobody was happy with this.
“I live up just this way, in case you want to join me…” said Napstablook. “or, in case, you don’t…”
The neighborhood that sat just above the dump was small. There were only a handful of houses but they were all uniquely shaped. No one house looked the same, and no one house looked like a real house. Even Napstablook’s house was built into its neighbors, forming a perfectly symmetrical image.
The interior was much more what Norman would have expected. There were no chairs, but he remembered how his grandmother liked to phase in and out of furniture and figured most ghosts didn’t invest in things they could not touch. Yet there was a desk with a working computer, a small TV, even a refrigerator. And on the other side of the house were piles and piles of CDs.
“uh…do you wanna…listen to some tunes, or something…?” Napstablook asked.

Underswap Headcanons
So I’ve been thinking a lot lately about Underswap and how I differentiate it from Undertale. I’ve never really had the words to it before, but something I’ve come to understand is that I think while the characters maintain the external personality and appearance of the person they’ve been swapped with, their dark side, their insecurities, the lines they’ll cross, the parts only close friends and family know...they are retained from their Tale selves. This underside, however, expresses itself through the lens of the externals, creating a fusion that at times can resemble both but allows the personality to become its own. I’ll be writing some basic profiles of the major characters, including some of those that I don’t write for often. I will be leaving out Chara and Frisk though. Not because I don’t have headcanons for them, but because in order to understand my swaps for them, you’d have to understand my Tale headcanons for them, which is a post in its own right.
(may do this for Swapfell, but then I’d have to get into the whole Fellswap Swapfell thing and that’s a whoooole can of worms)
Asgore: Alright, in fairness, Asgore and Toriel have always been pretty similar. Maybe its because they spent so much time as a couple. Still, there are some differences. In Underswap, Asgore has UT!Toriel’s caretaking instincts for lost souls as well as her more stringent ethics (there is right and wrong and very little in between). He also inherits the love of puns. From his original self, however, he gained a certain unacknowledged resignation. While he has a stronger sense of right and wrong than his Tale self, he shares a similar sense of doom, and that no matter what he desires, in the end, what will happen is what will happen. He will not fight as hard to keep the human there, nor does he connect as strongly, because he seems burdened by an understanding that he cannot save them. All of his children leave, and rather than trying to cloister them, as Tale!Toriel did, he in the end builds more walls around himself, tries to provide for them without getting his heart broken. He returns in the True Pacifist ending ultimately because he decides he is tired of trying to protect himself. That this is not what his son and Frisk would’ve wanted. He also resents Toriel less than Tale!Toriel resents her ex. While he still finds her actions despicable, there is a subconscious part of him that envies the fact that she still had the strength to care for their people while he shut down.
Sans: (special thanks to @nighttimepixels for putting my thinking on this track)Externally, he’s identical to Tale!Papyrus almost to the point of caricature. Bouncy, enthusiastic, optimistic, the Underground’s ray of sunshine who seems like he’s never had a bad thought in his life.....but the truth is, no one’s that perfect. Blue is pretty naturally upbeat. He prefers to see the best in people and though he’s often let down he finds that when that trust is rewarded its worth it. But in many cases his reputation outpaces his actuality. Still, the largest thing he inherited his Tale!Sans? The desire to keep secrets. To protect himself, to avoid problems by just hiding it all under a more digestible front. Even Papyrus doesn’t totally know how low he can get. How garbage his self-esteem can be. How isolated he can feel from others. Because the lower he gets the higher in gear he kicks it. More bounce! More pizazz! More magnificence! He’s Sans the Skeleton, everyone’s support system! He...he doesn’t get low days. Honest! From a more positive perspective, Blue is a little less dependent on the opinion’s of others than Papyrus. As long as they aren’t upset, then honestly they can have whatever opinion of him that they want. To clarify, he of course wants to be seen as impressive, kind, and a force to be reckoned with, but he copes a bit better with his lack of popularity that Tale!Papyrus, and is less desperate to please. While both have a strong code of ethics, Blue is more likely to burn a bridge over a violation of it (though of course hoping they will come around), while Papyrus has a harder time doing that.
Papyrus: The first time he meets Tale Sans, Sans can’t help but feel a strange rush of envy. Stretch is lazy, sure, lives like garbage and can’t commit to much. But he’s so damn charming. He seems to have retained Original Papyrus’ showmanship instincts just enough to talk his way into anything, leave just as much of an impression as he wants, or go ignored if that’s what he desired. And while in general he’s as directionless as Tale, when he wants something he rarely has trouble getting it. Motivation isn’t his default but it is a reservoir he has immense capacity to draw on. Still, there’s a lot (a LOT) Stretch doesn’t show. That dependency on people’s opinion that Blue missed? Guess who inherited it. Because yeah, he walks around like he doesn’t give a damn what anyone thinks of him, like he’s got it all figured out and could talk circles around you if he wanted. But Stretch is CONSTANTLY assessing himself and other people’s perception of him. Even if he doesn’t want to be adored, he wants to be remembered, thought of as funny, clever, or hell, even annoying, just as long as its the impression he wants to give off. He walks a fine line of wanting no one to see the real him while wanting someone to just see him for who he is and VALIDATE it. His self-confidence struggles are tangentially related to Tale Sans, but while Tale tends to just shrug and write himself off as a lost cause, Stretch can’t stop himself from trying to micromanage his own personality. He has a fixation on controlling himself. In light of the RESETs, its one of the last things he can control. Even the smoking habit was intentional. He wanted a coping mechanism, as well as a good reason to be alone when he wanted to be. It sounds cliche, but if Stretch really wanted to quit he could’ve done it no problem years ago. He struggles with anxiety as opposed to Tale’s depression, and is quite a bit more extroverted.
Muffet: Muffet’s similarities to her Tale self largely relate to motivations. She works her bakery/bar to provide money for her spider family members in Hotland. As the strongest of her kind only she could bear Snowdin’s cold, and it allowed her a business opportunity (given that Swap Grillby has a stranglehold on the Hotland food market only barely broken by Napstaton’s resort) to provide for her family. Outwardly, she is near identical to Tale Grillby. Quiet, responsible, with an unexpected humor only a select few regulars are privy to. Still, she kept her Tale self’s cutthroat side. While she’s a decent person and generally is willing to help others, if the choice came between an innocent and any member of her family, she would give up the innocent practically instantaneously. She’s also a tightfist and can be extremely unreasonable about money. Stretch doesn’t talk about it much but there was an incident where she came to him about his tab and he treated the matter a little too light-heartedly.....she apologized afterwards but he’s never let the bill stand that long since. To her, nothing is more important than her ability to provide and protect for her people.
Alphys: She’s got all of Tale Undyne’s rough and tumble, “FIGHT ME” intensity, as well as her softer, gentler desire to help all monsterkind. But this dinosaur doesn’t have nearly the same confidence. Not that she’d ever admit to it. But Alph struggles with her belief in herself. She believes in Blue, in Toriel, in Undyne, in all of her friends, really. But rarely in herself. Toriel never needed to correct her during training, Alphys berated herself, often way past what was necessary. She can do a hundred perfect moves, trip once, and that’s the only thing she’ll remember. Still, she covers that lack of confidence with quite a bit of aggression. Though Tale!Undyne had her angry moments, Alphys can come off as downright cranky. She also retained a tactical brilliance from Tale!Alphys, and a secret nerd side that she represses. No one is allowed in her room because that’s where she keeps all the....*whispers* books. Part of what drew her to Undyne was that she’s allowed to openly love what Alphys feels she must keep to herself. After all, warriors don’t READ! Right?!?!?!
Undyne: Awkward, shy, nerdy, stammering......and full of PASSION! Seriously, she keeps it on the DL, but she is almost as intense as her Tale self. Pencils she chews on end up bitten in half before she knows what she’s doing. She’s thrown laptops across the room in her excitement over new breakthroughs. And that’s not counting all the broken mugs. She definitely does not know her own strength. She also has Tale!Undyne’s tendency to make swift judgments (like with Frisk and Papyrus to an extent) and stick to them until she has no choice but to reassess. A prime example? Mettablook. Once she determined that their cousin was a better candidate for the robotics project....well, she wasn’t exactly rude, but she could be a bit callous. Frankly, she didn’t have much use for them, and could be unreasonable about their requests for her to make them a body, saying curtly that she didn’t have the resources to spare for such a secondary project. On the more positive side, while she’s definitely awkward, she doesn’t struggle as much with confidence as Tale!Alphys. Her isolation is more incidental to her focus on her job (and, well, the internet). Socializing isn’t nearly as agonizing for her. She keeps in touch with Stretch despite them not working together. She simply doesn’t let people get too close so they don’t find out about the little surprise in her basement....
And speaking of Mettablook....
Mettablook (Hapstablook?): (sidenote, I’ll be using he/him pronouns since that’s what Mettaton uses in-game) When it comes to Napsta and Metta, I see their Swap being more role than personality focused. Like, Metta definitely got more of Napstablook’s shyness, but in general he is very close to how I imagine pre-robo Mettaton. He has a flair for performance, a love for anything that sparkles, and a fierce loyalty to his circle of friends. With one major difference. He wasn’t the one who met Undyne first. That was his cousin. As a result, Napsta was the one chosen for the robot program. While Metta....was stuck with the farm. As opposed to Napstablook’s crushed self-esteem, though, his route to coping with being....well, abandoned by one of the few people he thought would stick around for ever, is active denial that it hurt even a little. No, really, he’s very happy for his cousin. No big that they never call or write or visit....really, he’s sure they’re busy or something. He honestly can’t be bothered to think about it with all his responsibilities. Really. Its total bullshit and everyone knows it, but he’ll hold fast to that exterior. And while his confidence isn’t quite as shattered, he’s not nearly the performer he used to be when Chara finds him. He’s trying to rationalize why his cousin wouldn’t take him with them. Was....was this their way of letting them down easy? Are they trying to tell him that he was never as good as he thought? He still practices, but he’s far more private about it. The way you would know he’s ready for MERCY is if he shows you one of his poses, actually.
Napstaton (they/them pronouns) There’s two sides to this DJ. Their on stage persona is actually very laid back, something of a very optimistic surfer dude. They’re go-with-the flow, has tousled robo hair (okay, its been engineered to look tousled) and in general just happy to meet you. While Tale Mettaton’s emphasis is on performance, Napstaton’s first and foremost concern is the music they play and write. They don’t do television shows, but concerts and music specials. Underneath the cool exterior, though, this bot is a HOT MESS. All Napstas, regardless of universe, struggle with low self-esteem and the fear that everyone secretly hates them. When they got their chance at celebrity they had hoped this would be less of an issue. But its not. If anything, its worse, because they’re worried every minute that they’ll mess it up, that the penny will drop and everyone will see them for the garbage heap that they are. They can’t let that happen. So they focus on everything to do with their career. They hole up for days agonizing over their music. They spend hours choosing outfits carefully so they don’t look like they took hours to choose. They never see their cousin anymore, and visits with Undyne are rare and usually as short as they can make them. It makes them something of a selfish person, focused entirely on their image and how they interact with the world. Still, they have a very sweet nature that comes out especially after Chara gives them their wake up call, and they really do love their friends.
Toriel: Gracious, wise, powerful, and in charge. She has all the qualities the Underground seems to require. Along with Tale!Toriel’s impressive dedication to those she cares about and her maternal instincts she combines UT!Asgore’s utter devotion to their people. The killing of children is not something she takes any pleasure in. But she tries to bury her it in the hope of her people. With each SOUL they get closer and closer to freedom. Surely that has to be enough. She also commands a lot more respect than UT!Asgore does, and you are not likely to hear her referred to as “Queen Fluffybuns” anytime soon. Still, she didnt just carry over Toriel’s good qualities. While UT!Asgore mostly wrestled with his own guilt, Swap Toriel is overwhelmingly lonely. Which seems odd. After all, she’s surrounded by people. But there is a certain distance that she has to maintain as a ruler, that prevents many from getting close. With Asgore’s desparture, she’s lost the last person that she felt she could emotionally connect with. Its turned her....a little desperate. And a lot overprotective. Alphys had to fight for years  to get her permission to join the Guard, simply because she didn’t want her hurt. Undyne has a tough time of it keeping the Amalgams hidden because Toriel is always visiting and sticking her snout in every direction. Even when they hit the Surface she has a tendency to hover over Chara’s activites and make up reasons to show up at Asgore’s house. Someone give this woman a hug and let her know everyone’s gonna be okay.

Descentale: Prologue, and a preview of Chapter One!
I really didn’t want to post any part of the Descentale re-write until I had the first chapter finished, but... it’s been months??? I’m a horrible person???? So I’m making up for it by posting the prologue, as well as a preview as of the as-of-yet-unfinished Chapter One!
I’m posting the prologue here first, then I’ll be posting it on Archive of Our Own (after I take down the original version of Descentale).
I let people down... I don’t want to do it again... so here it is, the prologue of this fanfic that honestly should have had its first chapter finished a long damn time ago. And a sneak peek of that same damned first chapter.
Enjoy... and... I’m sorry. I love you all so much.
(Just to warn you, I did re-use old bits from the original Descentale for these. So please don’t be too disappointed...)

An Undertale Fanfiction

Prologue
---
Once upon a time, in the year 202X, a child named Frisk fell into the underground of Mt. Ebott, a place where it is said no one returns from.
Frisk entered the Monster Kingdom, where they befriended everyone they met. Through their DETERMINATION, they were able to help shatter the barrier that kept monsters underground.
Returning to the surface with their new friends, Frisk took on the role of monster ambassador, and helped spread the word about how friendly and peace-loving monsters truly were.
Humanity, for the most part, welcomed their long-forgotten neighbors. To make up for the cruel and hateful actions of their ancestors, the humans helped build a large settlement at the base of Mt. Ebott for monsters to live in. The mountain and much of the surrounding land now belonged to monster-kind.
Nearly two years later...
Frisk is now living with Toriel, Sans, and Papyrus as one happy family. Little do they know, someone has been watching them for quite some time now.
Not only that, but this person has also been watching certain other humans as well... humans that all share something in common with them.
And one such human is moving into the monster settlement with their child.
Name Frisk's partner.
CHARA_
The true name.

SNEAK PEEK!!!
Chapter One:
“Dust, Magic, and Water”
---
It had been nearly two years since monsters were freed from beneath Mt. Ebott, and for many, it was a rather exciting time. Humans had reacted with shock and awe upon being reintroduced to their unusual neighbors from the Underground. Some humans were fearful, and some were blindly hateful, both because monsters being real was something new and different that they didn't understand. Fortunately, thanks to Frisk's hard work and natural charisma, most humans were accepting and welcoming to monsters, and they even helped them get settled in on the surface. It was decreed by human leaders that Mt. Ebott would become a monster reservation, and a the beginnings of a large city was built surrounding the base of the mountain. King Asgore Dreemurr, still lacking in creativity as much as ever, named this city “New New Home”.
For a while, Frisk was the only human who lived in New New Home. Any other humans that showed up were usually tourists wanting pictures of monsters, or various human officials whom they had meetings with at the monster embassy office. Eventually, however, humans began showing interest in living in New New Home. Asgore consulted with his former wife, Toriel, on the matter. The king was more than willing to open the doors to any humans interested in befriending their kind, but he wondered if it was too soon for this. The city had not been standing all that long, after all, and despite the city's size, the monster population was already quite high. Toriel, in response, pointed out that it would improve relations between monsters and humans if their doors were opened to them. Plus, any humans living among them would give incentive to human leaders to provide monetary assistance that would improve quality of life in New New Home. Besides, with all the gold monsters possessed, she felt that they had plenty of resources to build as many homes for humans as needed. And so, open-minded humans looking for a cheaper, cleaner, more positive place to live took up residence in New New Home.
Frisk didn't mind having human neighbors, especially when they turned out to be far nicer and more accepting than most other humans they'd met in the past. However, it was around other human children that the monster ambassador found themselves feeling nervous. They never explained why to Toriel or their friends, but Frisk knew all too well how cruel human children could be. Frisk often recalled watching those chilling tapes from the True Laboratory, and how sick to their stomach it made them.
“I... I don't like this idea, Chara. Wh... what? N-no, I'm not... big kids don't cry. Yeah, you're right. No! I'd never doubt you, Chara... Never! Y...yeah! We'll be strong! We'll free everyone. I'll go get the flowers.”
Poor Asriel. Chara had not been kind to their brother. They had manipulated and abused the young prince. And Frisk knew that they knew this, judging by the way their shared soul reacted to that conversation. Frisk remembered when, after the Barrier had broken, Asriel told them that Chara wasn't the greatest person; Chara had not taken those words well, judging by the wave of sorrow that overtook Frisk's soul in that instant. Thank goodness Frisk had such a good poker face. The last thing Asriel needed was to see their friend cry.
It was strange... Frisk had not felt Chara's presence ever since they walked away with Toriel from Mt. Ebott that fateful day. It was as though Chara's spirit was tied to the Underground. Frisk supposed that, for as long as Chara remained buried beneath those flowers in the Ruins, they would be stuck there forever. And yet, despite this, Chara's happier memories with Asriel often echoed in Frisk's dreams. Frisk could never forget those images, no matter how hard they tried; those memories were like a residue left behind on their soul long after Chara had left. They left Frisk feeling melancholy; the love between the two siblings warmed their heart, but knowing what became of that relationship, what became of those two children no older than Frisk themselves, was devastating.
Not to mention, Frisk was rather disturbed by Chara's appearance. They had a different skin tone than Frisk's, as well as large eyes, rosy cheeks, and a seemingly innocent smile. But they were also the same height as Frisk. Their hair, though a different color, was styled in the same fashion as Frisk's. The shape of their face was the same, too. They even wore a striped shirt. It was almost like looking into a mirror. No wonder Asriel had mistaken Frisk to be Chara.
So, imagine just how Frisk felt one Saturday afternoon when they saw whom they thought was Chara walking in broad daylight towards their front yard.
Frisk had playing with a stick by dragging gently it across the yard's white picket fence and listening to the resulting sounds. Their head perked up at someone chirping “Hello!” in a cheerful, high-pitched voice. Frisk dropped their stick in shock when they saw who had spoken. It was a child, no older than themselves, and though they lacked the striped shirt and rosy cheeks, they looked a great deal like Chara. Frisk stared at them, too frightened to move or make a sound.
“Oh, did I scare you?” asked the child. “I'm sorry! P-please, don't be upset! I... I was just trying to say hi!”
Frisk processed the child's words. Their voice did not sound like Chara's had in Frisk's mind. They did not speak like Chara did. And they seemed a bit more feminine than Chara was. But the hair, the eyes, the skin tone, even the shape of the face, those were the same.
Frisk swallowed hard. “... Who are you?” they asked quietly.
“Me? Um, my name's Patricia!” the child responded nervously. “But everyone calls me Pat,” she added with anxious smile. “I just moved to this town with my mom!”
Frisk let out a breath they didn't know they'd been holding. Not Chara. Thank goodness. “So... you're new here? When did you get here?”
Pat, seeing Frisk relax a bit, sighed with relief before speaking. “Mom and I just finished moving everything in last night! I was helping Mom unpack boxes today, but I got super-bored. Mom said I could go explore the city as long as I had my smartphone with me, so... here I am! So, what's your name?”
Ah, so she didn't recognize them? Frisk wasn't self-absorbed, but they did know their reputation preceded them quite a bit. How would Pat react once she found out who she was talking to? Time to find out. “I'm Frisk Dreemurr,” they said with a smile.
Pat's jaw dropped. “WHAT!? Y-you're Frisk Dreemurr!? The monster ambassador!? No way! How did I not recognize you, oh my god!? I am so sorry, I didn't realize who you were!”
Frisk couldn't help but giggle a bit. “Hey, that's okay. I don't expect everyone to know who I am.”
“Ugh, but I should have known!” said Pat, slapping her own forehead in frustration. “Before I even moved here, my mom and I have been keeping up-to-date on monster-related news. You'd think I'd remember what the kid who saved an entire civilization looked like!”
Frisk fought back a grin of amusement. “Aw, I'm not that special. I'm just a kid like you, you know?”
Pat shook her head. “You're definitely not like me, Frisk. You freed an entire race of people from a centuries-old prison. You're a hero.”
“Who says you can't be a hero, too?” asked Frisk. “You can be anything you want to be if you're determined enough.”
“I don't know about that,” said Pat. “My mom told me that just because you want something bad enough, it doesn't always mean you'll get it, no matter how hard you try. So, as cool as being a hero would be... I'd rather be a bit more realistic in my goals.”
“Well, what do you want to be, then?” asked Frisk.
“A rock star!” Pat declared, striking an epic pose. “I've been playing guitar since I was three years old! I took lessons from my grandpa, and then taught myself further by watching videos online! My mom says I'm really talented!”
“That's cool!” said Frisk with a nod. “I'd like to hear you play someday.”
“R-really!? You wanna hear me play!?” squealed Pat excitedly. “I'd love to play you some music, Frisk! My guitar and amplifier haven't been unpacked yet, but once they are, I'll come right over with them and play you a concert! Would you like that? Because I know I would!”
Frisk grinned. “Sure!”
Pat pumped her fist in the air. “Sweet! I can't wait!”
Frisk turned when they heard the front door open behind them. Toriel was standing in the doorway on the front porch, wearing an apron over a purple dress. “Frisk? Who are you talking to, dear? Have you made a new friend?” The boss monster came down the creaky steps, approached the fence and stood beside Frisk. No sooner did she do so that she froze and gasped quietly, mouth agape as she stared at Pat.
Frisk knew exactly what their mother was thinking. They had to defuse the situation before it became awkward. “Uh, Mom? This is Pat. She and her mom just moved to New New Home,” Frisk explained quickly.
“Uh, h-hi!” stuttered Pat. She looked nervous, perhaps thinking she had offended Frisk's mother somehow.
Toriel stared a few seconds longer before she inhaled deeply and took on a calmer expression. “Oh, I do apologize. Greetings, Pat. Forgive me, but you look so much like another human I used to know. For a moment, I thought was looking at a spirit!”
“Oh, is that all? Thank goodness,” said Pat. “I thought maybe I'd done something wrong.”
“Oh, no, not at all, my child!” Toriel assured her. “I was just a bit surprised, that's all. So, you are living here with your mother?”
“Yes, ma'am!” Pat confirmed with a nod.
“Well, allow me to give you a warm welcome! I am Toriel, Frisk's mother,” said the boss monster.
“Pleased to meet you!” Pat chirped. “Say, aren't you the ex-queen of the monsters? You're so much prettier in person!”
Toriel blushed. “Oh! Why... thank you, my child! I do appreciate the compliment,” she said with a giggle. “And to answer your question... yes, I was queen once. However, I gave up my crown quite a long time ago. While I am still somewhat looked to as a leader... and though my former husband looks to me for advice now and then...” she added with a slight grimace, “I have the far more humble title of teacher now,” she ended with a smile.
“You're a teacher?”
“Yes! I started a school here in New New Home called Delta Rune Elementary. I assume you will be continuing your education there now that you live here, yes?”
“Uh-huh! That's what mom tells me,” said Pat. “I'm... I'm a bit nervous, though. I know monsters are supposed to be really nice – and you seem really nice too, Miss Toriel! – but I've never been in a school full of them before... I'll be an odd one out...” Pat cast her gaze downward. “Plus... my mom... she's very different from most other humans and...” Her voice trailed off.
Toriel opened the gate of the fence and stepped out in front of Pat. She knelt down before her and spoke in a kind, warm voice only an experienced mother would have. “Do not fret, my child. If it makes you feel any better, there are a few other humans your age at my school. You will not be an odd one out. I will admit, however, you will be a minority. But I will do everything in my power to make sure you feel welcome and included among the other children. I make sure of this for all the students that attend Delta Rune. So, worry not.”
“Thank you, Miss Toriel,” said Pat quietly, still looking down. “But...”
“But?” inquired Toriel patiently.
“... Like I said. My mom. She's... she's not like most other humans. She's different. At my old school, I got teased for it.”
“Oh? How is your mother different?” asked Toriel.
Frisk leaned forward on the fence, just as curious about Pat's answer.
“Mom... she has... um... Miss Toriel, do you know what autism is?” asked Pat.
Toriel nodded. “Indeed! I have a couple of human students who have it. I familiarized myself with it through much personal research, in an effort to make the learning environment more comfortable for them.”
“Oh, good. Well... my mom has autism, Miss Toriel,” Pat explained. “She's high-functioning, so she can hold a job and take care of us both just fine. But... the kids at my old school kept teasing me. They called my mom bad names, and they accused me of being autistic, too, as an insult. They think being autistic means you're stupid. B-but... my mom isn't stupid!” she insisted. “She's really smart! And she's super-nice!” Her voice cracked, and a tear ran down her face. “Even some of the adults said bad things about my mom! She already has enough issues to deal with! She... she doesn't need...!”
Without any prompting, Toriel wrapped her arms around Pat and gently held her close. Pat returned the embrace automatically, gripping her tightly and sobbing into the boss monster's shoulder. “There, there, my child,” Toriel soothed her. “I promise you, I will personally see to it that your mother feels welcome here in New New Home. I know very well that having autism does not make a human stupid. One of my autistic students gets exceptional grades, and though the other has their share of difficulties, I know they too have areas of great expertise.” She stroked Pat's back as she continued. “I am so glad that you love and accept your mother the way she is, even with all that you have been through. You are a very strong child, Pat. I cannot begin to imagine how painful those experiences were for you.”
“I... I don't feel strong!” Pat wept. “Look at me, I'm crying! Big kids don't cry!” Frisk felt a twinge of discomfort when she said that.
“Well, of course they do!” said Toriel. “Do not be silly! Everyone cries sometimes, Pat. It does not matter how big or little you are. Even I cry sometimes! Right, Frisk?”
Frisk stepped closer and placed a hand on Pat's right shoulder. “Mom cries at Disney movies all the time. You should have seen her when we first watched Bambi together! She was like a water fountain.”
Toriel rolled her eyes playfully. “That is a bit of an exaggeration, Frisk, dear. But yes, I did cry quite a bit. I am not ashamed of my tears, and you should certainly not be ashamed of yours, Pat. Besides, we have only just met, and here you are crying openly in front of us. That takes a lot of bravery, to show your true emotions.”
Pat pulled away to look up at Toriel, her eyes still wet. “You... you think I'm brave? Really?”
Toriel nodded. “Absolutely.”
Pat wiped her eyes with the sleeve of her pink shirt. “Thank you, Miss Toriel... that makes me feel a little better.”
“I am very glad,” said Toriel with a smile. “Now then... how would you like to come inside for a little bit and have a drink? I know humans are mostly made of water, and you seem to have lost quite a bit of that just now.”
Pat chuckled a bit. “Yeah... I guess I did, huh? Sure, I can come inside for a while. Mom just wants me to be home before dark.”
“Wonderful!” said Toriel, standing back up. “Would you like water, juice, milk, or perhaps some lemonade? I just made the lemonade today, and it should be nice and chilled by now.”
“Homemade lemonade!?” cried Pat happily. “Oh my gosh, yes, please!”
Toriel laughed. “Very well, then! Come along, children!” She made her way past the gate and motioned for Pat and Frisk to follow her. The two children followed close behind, Frisk walking behind Pat as they reflected on what had just occurred. Pat did not seem anything like Chara personality-wise, but there was no mistaking the resemblance physically, especially now that Toriel confirmed it. Did Pat's mother look like Chara, too? Were they related to Chara?
Perhaps, Frisk thought as they entered the house, it was only a coincidence that Pat looked so much like Chara. There were plenty of humans who looked alike, they knew. Some monsters looked alike, too, like Froggits. Frisk always had a hard time telling any of them apart. Still, if it all really was a coincidence, it was quite a big one. But... it couldn't hurt to find out more about Pat's family, right?

Next Chapter
“it's a beautiful day outside. birds are singing, flowers are blooming...on days like this, kids like you…
Should be burning in hell.”
In the back of their mind—because that was all they really could do at the moment—Frisk wondered if sans rehearsed that speech. Either way, he said it the same way nearly every time. It was only when he tried to catch them off guard did he stop halfway, fire a Gaster-Blaster at them before they would expect it. Back before this happened, back when they could go to Grillby's and be friends, sans mentioned that he didn't actually have much memory of the timeloops. His knowledge came from notebooks and journals meticulously kept for someone so lazy. What memories he had came through nightmares.
In a way, Frisk envied him.
The battle started. Frisk felt their sins crawling along their back. The body moved forward, the soul dodging every attack as best it could, all without Frisk's thought or input. Neither had been Frisk's for a very long time.
sans had stopped his attack. He still dodged theirs, but didn't move otherwise. Sweat poured from his forehead, especially surprising since he didn't have skin cells.
“uh. hey. you really like swinging that thing around, huh?” The skeleton said. The attack stopped, if only for a second. “listen. friendship. it's really great, huh? let's quit fighting.”
sans was sparing them.
And Frisk so desperately wanted to accept it. Find a way to restart everything from the beginning and be especially good. Their body, however, wasn't listening.
After all that, you still think you're in control?
Something wet was moving on their face. Blood, Frisk reckoned. It couldn't have been their tears if their body wasn't theirs anymore.
sans dodged the slash of the knife.
“well. it was worth a shot, anyway.”
Their soul collided with another attack, and ripped in half.
Game Over
“if we're really friends, you won't come back.”
He was probably right.

Chapter 1
When Coraline woke up, she had no idea where she was.
It took her a minute to pull herself off of the cold earth and think back. She had been exploring the new apartments, she remembered that much. Her Dousing Staff had only led her to an old empty well…
She then realized just how dark it was. Her eyes ran to the only source of sunlight in the room: above. She had fallen, she realized. She had fallen down that well, and still survived. A pang of worry echoed in the back of her mind, but she couldn’t quite figure out why. This would be a much better place to explore! Perhaps down here she could find something actual of worth, like mice that actually sang and danced, or a talking cat, or…
A golden flower, looking at her with a very confused expression.
“Huh.” The flower said. “I honestly wasn’t expecting that.”
“Wasn’t expecting what?” Coraline asked, equal parts confused and offended.
The flower’s expression changed, as if it thought of something. “Oh, nothing. You’re new to the Underground, aren’t ya? Well, how about I teach you how things work around here?”
“How do you mean?”
“Well, let me show ya!”
The world flickered, like a candle. Coraline’s attention fell to the orange heart hovering in front of her.
“That’s your SOUL!” The flower said. “It’s the very culmination of your being. It can grow strong if you gain a lot of LV.”
“LV?” Coraline repeated.
“Love!” The flower said, as if he weren’t quite sure himself.
A group of white seeds hovered around the flower. “Monsters can share love with you with these…little white friendliness pellets! So go ahead! Catch as many as you can!”
“Wow. You’re just as dumb as they were.” The flower spoke again.
More pellets surrounded Coraline’s SOUL.
“DIE.”
The flower’s laughter stopped abruptly. Coraline looked up from her Soul, no longer surrounded in white. She looked up further, where she saw a figure.
“My, what a loathsome creature, torturing a poor, innocent youth…”
When Frisk woke up, they had no idea where they were.
It took them a minute to realize that their body was theirs, and they could get up whenever they wanted. When they did, they noticed the room wasn’t one they recognized. It wasn’t the Judgement Hall, like they had feared. It wasn’t the entrance to the Underground, like they had hoped. It was a bedroom, and it looked a lot like Toriel’s.
Remembering what happened to Toriel the last time they had met sent a wave of nausea over Frisk. They reached for a SAVE file.
Nothing happened.
Had they ever Saved in Toriel’s house? They couldn’t quite remember. Frisk had never stayed around in Toriel’s house long enough.
This wasn’t Toriel’s house. It looked a lot like it, but it wasn’t quite right. There was no basket full of shoes that had not been worn for ages. The toys lacked the layer of dust, like they had been used recently. Smells of butterscotch and cinnamon and fire magic didn’t hover in the air.
Something was wrong.
Frisk bolted from the room and rushed to where they knew Toriel would be. Her reading chair. She was always in her reading chair, no matter what timeline Frisk found themselves in.
They found Toriel in the kitchen.
It was Toriel, unmistakably. The same white fur, if a little brighter, the same purple tunic, if a bit nicer-kept, and the same motherly aura about her. Yet she was different. Her Soul, Frisk realized, was different. They didn’t quite know how, or even how they knew; the first time they had ever analyzed a Soul was when they first entered the Underground, and things haven’t changed much since then.
When she turned around from the stove, Frisk realized the biggest different. Two, black button eyes.
“Hello my child,” She spoke. “Did you sleep okay?”
Frisk fought to keep a straight face. Their hands shook as they signed, though that was often the case. They weren’t sure if they had signed that correctly, or even if it was spelled correctly. They had never thought of a nickname for Toriel that was easier to sign, and now they weren’t sure if they were allowed to.
The thing that was not Toriel’s face contorted, for just a second, into confusion. Frisk recognized the face easily. Few people they spoke to knew sign language. Even less would sign back to them. Toriel was the first, and one of the only.
“Oh. I’m the Other Toriel, my child.” She said. She didn’t sign back. Once Toriel figured it out, they would always sign as they spoke.
“Everyone has an other mother,” the Other Toriel continued. “I thought this form would be more…acceptable to you.”
That one was true, at least. Frisk may have never thought of Toriel as their mother (only once. They wouldn’t let themselves do it again.), but even Jerry was preferable to their real mother. If this other Toriel had thought that far ahead, then perhaps they were nice?
“Now then, why don’t you go wash up and find your other father, so we can have dinner?” the Other Toriel said as she worked on carving the pie. “It’s been a long time since you’ve had a proper meal, hasn’t it?”
Toriel was married? This Toriel was married? Frisk had never seen another person in the house…or really anyone Toriel interacted that wasn’t sans. But the idea of a proper meal, especially one that wasn’t made of dust and magic, was too pleasing for Frisk to turn down.
Frisk poked their head over the Other Toriel’s shoulder, just quick enough to see what the pie was made of.
Butterscotch-Cinnamon Pie
At least it isn’t snails. Does not heal, but is part of a balanced breakfast.
Even when they were at their worst, Toriel’s pie always healed. They wondered if the Other Toriel just didn’t get the recipe right
The figure in front of Coraline looked equal parts goat and equal parts human, standing on two feet yet covered in white fur. Despite her rather impressive size, the sharpness of her teeth, and the two horns on her head, she seemed to be doing everything in her power to appear non-threatening.
“Do not be afraid, child. I am Toriel, the caretaker of these Ruins.” She spoke.
Toriel bent down and offered Coraline a hand. Coraline took it, if only to pull herself back up.
“I come through these Ruins every day to see if anyone has fallen down.” Toriel continued. “You are the first human to come down here in a long time. Allow me to guide you through the catacombs.”
If she held onto Toriel’s hand a little longer, she didn’t realize. And Toriel didn’t let go until Coraline did.
Frisk found the Other Toriel’s husband outside the house. He was a large goat-like monster like she was, with bigger horns on his head, a wilder mane, and a rather well-kept beard. He even wore a similar tunic to Toriel’s, but for some reason Frisk couldn’t understand, it looked out of place on him. Like the Other Toriel, his eyes were big black buttons, carefully sewn in.
But what Frisk noticed first was the garden. Outside of Toriel’s house was rather dry, with only one old tree where the leaves fell off the second they could grow. Here, the ground was nearly covered in lush greens, with only a walkway of stone to interrupt it. Flowers blossomed from every corner of the yard; bright blues and deep reds. The tree was ripe with flowers of all sorts, yet there were still plenty of fall leaves around it that Frisk could jump into if they choose to. And there was sky, dark and covered in stars.
No golden flowers were in the garden, although the real Underground was full of them. Frisk wondered if that was intentional.
“Is someone there?” The other monster asked. “Just a moment. I have to finish watering these flowers…Here we are!”
He stood and turned to them. He towered over the child, but they weren’t intimidated. Rather, they were curious. He looked familiar, in a way that Frisk couldn’t describe. They had seen him before, but not in a Reset. And if it wasn’t a Reset, they had no idea where else he could have come from. The phrase “Mr. Dad Guy” entered their mind, but they had no idea why.
“Howdy!” Mr. Dad Guy said. “How may I help you, little one?”
Frisk signed to tell him breakfast was ready. A similar strain of confusion entered the other’s face as he interpreted the signs, but it passed just as quickly as it had with the Other Toriel.
“Let us not keep her waiting then, shall we?” said Mr. Dad Guy.
Mr. Dad Guy walked Frisk back through the house and to a dinner table that Frisk was sure was never in Toriel’s house. Toriel rarely had other people she could eat with, they realized. They had never eaten with Toriel. Pie had always been left in the room when they slept but that was not a meal and it was not eaten with her.
Maybe the Other Toriel realized this, and that’s why the table was piled with more food than Frisk thought one could make. A golden-roasted chicken, fried potatoes, tiny green peas. Spaghetti covered in a sauce of finely smashed tomatoes, greasy burgers and fries that smelled like Grillby’s, instant noodles, a three-tier cake with Welcome Home! written in icing cursive. Small cars moved along the table, depositing gravy for the meats and ketchup for the burgs. A butterscotch-cinnamon pie sitting at the center of it.
“Aren’t you going to eat, young one?” Mr. Dad Guy asked.
With all the Resets, Frisk had forgotten the last time they had a meal of human food. They had forgotten a long time ago what it was like when that food was freely given. They shoveled as much food as they could into their mouth.
“We have been waiting for you for a long time,” the Other Toriel said. “It wasn’t the same without you. But we knew you would come home one day. Perhaps tomorrow you can help your father in the garden. Or I can show you my favorite bug-hunting spot. I can even prepare a curriculum for your education.”
In the end, Toriel didn’t guide Coraline through the entirety of the Ruins. She left her someplace safe, where she could wait while she ran errands. Coraline, however, decided to explore herself. She met Vegetoids and Migosps and a whole variety of creatures she could have never thought of. She bought donuts from a bake sale run by spiders. She would talk to Froggits and Moldsmals, and though they rarely moved beyond hip-wiggling and ribbiting, they were quite meaningful.
She explored the Ruins until she came across a tree where leaves dried off as soon as they grew, and behind that, a house. Seeing such a cute, tidy house in the middle of the Ruins filled Coraline with something, but she wasn’t sure quite was.
She didn’t think of getting closer until she saw Toriel exit, a bag of groceries in her paws.
“My child!” said Toriel. “Did you walk all the way here?”
“It wasn’t too bad,” said Coraline. “I had to do battle with a ghost, but it was okay because I complimented their hat and they let me go.”
The best part of saying that was that Coraline was not making any of that up. The second best part was, though she looked annoyed for just a second at the prospect of anyone fighting Coraline, Toriel laughed and smiled and believed her. Her mother never did any of that no matter what kind of story Coraline told. She usually just shrugged her off and told her to do chores.
It was the first time in her time in the Underground that Coraline thought of her mother.
Toriel lead Coraline through the house. She showed her a room she could stay the night in. They had butterscotch cinnamon pie for dinner. Coraline read through old books of monster history until she realized all textbooks were rather dry.
But then Coraline had to think realistically. She had to get back to the Pink Palace.
“Thank you for everything, Miss Toriel, but I really need to get back home,” Coraline said. “How do I leave the Ruins?”
Toriel grew quiet. With her paws shaking, she removed her reading glasses and rose from her chair.
“I’m afraid there is something I must do, little one. Please wait here.”
She left, and then Coraline grew nervous. She followed Toriel, down the stairs of the house and into a dark corridor that didn’t look at all like the tidy home. When she found Toriel, it was in front of a large door.
“You truly wish to return home, do you not?” Toriel asked. “Ahead of us is the exit to the Ruins. And I am going to destroy it. No one will be able to leave again. Now run upstairs.”
“I have to get home! To my real mom and dad!” said Coraline.
“You are just like the others. You come. You leave. You’ll die. He…ASGORE…will find you. I am only doing this to protect you.”
“I can defend myself. I want to get home.”
“Then prove it. Prove you’re strong enough to survive.”
A FIGHT broke out. Toriel blocks the way.
Coraline grew used to the feeling of her Soul leaving her body. However, she was not used to the feeling of monster bullets hurdling towards her. It did not help that Toriel’s bullets were flames, raging with heat as they passed and singing her jacket and Soul as they hit.
Yet Coraline stayed determined. She was perhaps not the best at dodging, but the FIGHTS with the other monsters of the Ruins had prepared her well. It was no different than her father moving around the hornets. She ran through the flames, letting her jacket take what she couldn’t allow her Soul to hit.
“Why are you fighting me?” Coraline asked. “I thought you wanted me to stay safe!”
“I do,” said Toriel. “This is what’s best for you!”
“You think trying to kill me is what’s best for me? How is that different than those monsters you want to protect me from! How is that different than Asgore!”
The flames returned, tenfold. Coraline couldn’t dodge them all.
As she pulled herself off the floor, she looked through Toriel. She looked shocked at her own power, eyes wide and paw covering her mouth.
“Do not compare me to him,” said Toriel. “Just fight already.”
Coraline stood up, but did not move.
“I know you want to go home…but you must understand. I cannot lose another.”
Toriel went down to the entrance of the Underground every day. How many children, Coraline realized, has she seen fall down? How many of them could she not save? How long was it before the last one left?
“Stop looking at me like that,” Toriel said.
She couldn’t.
“Pathetic, is it not? I cannot save even a single child.”
“Their deaths aren’t your fault,” said Coraline. “And keeping me here won’t solve anything.”
“I understand. The Ruins are very small, once you get used to them,” said Toriel. “My expectations, my loneliness, my fear…for you, I shall put them aside.”
The FIGHT ended.
“If you truly wish to leave the Ruins, I will not stop you,” Toriel continued. “But please, do not come back. I hope you understand.”
Coraline had no idea what to say about any of this. About the mother in mourning, about respecting someone who attacked her, about having to travel through the world of monsters alone. So she settled for “I did mean it. Thank you for everything you’ve done.” and walked through the door.
Author’s Note: So there are about 3 games that I trust any let’s player to play well, and I watch a lot of let’s players. Until Dawn, Pony Island…and Undertale. I’ve watched a lot of Undertale playthoughs. I really enjoy this game, or at least most of it. I wanted to write an Undertale crossover fic, and then I realized I wanted to write a lot of them. And then I realized that any Undertale crossover is inherently the same, or at least the way I wanted to write it, so I decided to make all of them into one mega-fic.
This is a bit of an unusual experience for me, considering that at the time of this posting, I am not finished with the complete fic yet. I do not do this, usually. Everything you see has been ordered, signed in triplicate, sent in, sent back, queried, lost, found, subjected to public enquiry, lost again, and finally buried in soft peat for three months and recycled as firelighters. But I decided that I wanted to post more. Hopefully this pays out and I won’t have to skip a few weeks.
So welcome to Into the Unknown.
