Mods’ Review: - As always, you never fail to amaze me with your writing. I loved the added detail of the ‘brides’ being kids from the drop ship, which is what leads Bellamy to go and become the next ‘bride’. I think that really fits with who he is as a character, and it worked so well for what the story was. Also, huge fan of the OG betrayal being Lexa and Costia falling in love behind Clarkes back (you know I’m such a sucker for Lostia in any form lol)! I think that added a lot of who Clarke’s character was, and why she did what she did. Wrong, and obvi very evil, but it was a great motivator, and it felt so realistic, because the idea that a betrayal of a more political kind would always happen is less likely than her assuming they’d fall in love with someone else instead! The story Bellamy tells her is so good too, I love that touch of canon added in, and the idea that he’d tell the skaikru story to a Grounder Commander makes so much sense, because its a story that she’d have no way of knowing! A perfect mix of canon + the fairy tale! Also, that ambiguous ending! SO GOOD! - Bailey

I Saw Moulin Rouge On Broadway (PT 1) — Here's My Story!

okay so i saw moulin rouge on broadway and it was SO FREAKING AMAZING!

there's so much to say about it and it's impossible to include it all in one post, so i decided to break it up into "parts." here's a rundown of the "parts":

• part 1 (this part) — a breakdown of my experience while seeing moulin rouge and meeting the actors/actresses after the show!

SO WITHOUT FURTHER ADO... HERE IS PART ONE OF THE "I SAW MOULIN ROUGE ON BROADWAY" SERIES!

my parents and i were in nyc from monday, august 5th, 2019 to friday, august 9th, 2019. i asked my mom in march to get moulin rouge tickets once they went on sale because i knew the good seats would sell out pretty fast.

on monday i got to be a part of the studio audience for stephen colbert's late night talk show, on tuesday my parents and i saw ain't too proud, and on wednesday we saw the cher show.

finally it was thursday aka moulin rouge day! before the show, my parents and i sat in bryant park. then, we got schmackary's cookies and we headed to the theatre.

once we got in the theatre, i went to the bathroom, my mom bought some merchandise, and my dad found our seats.

for those of you who haven't been in the al hirschfeld theatre, it's a strange stage setting. there's the big main stage, but there's a runway that connects to a small strip of stage in front of the main stage. i sat in the second row behind the small strip of stage.

without giving a lot of the surprises away, the best thing i can say is that the show starts before the show even starts. i don't want to spoil it for anyone who is planning on seeing the show, so we're just going to leave it at that.

nearing showtime, i was casually talking to my mom and i looked up at the stage to see what was going on. and right there on the small strip of stage, about two feet away from me, was the one and only AARON TVEIT!

i freaked out and squealed. my mom, who only knows aaron as tripp vanderbilt from gossip girl, also freaked out and i'm pretty sure that's the moment when she figured out why i love him so much.

anyways, the show was well... SPECTACULAR! ;) i never knew i wanted to hear aaron tveit and karen olivo singing trashy pop songs for 2 and a half hours until they had sung trashy pop songs for 2 and a half hours.

after the show, i rushed out to the stagedoor (obvi!). i got to meet a lot of the ensemble members, including robyn hurder (nini) who was an incredible dancer, and morgan marcell and max clayton who i've seen in bandstand. i also got to meet ricky rojas who played the sexy argentinian tango dancer who falls in love with nini (robyn).

aaron and karen didn't come out which is understandable because they had another show to perform in that night. they were probably squeezing in showers, naps, therapy, and eating in the short amount of time they had before call for the evening performance.

since aaron didn't come out and i wasn't sure if my parents would let me stagedoor after the evening performance, i took a picture of the pillar with him on it in front of the theatre.

so then, my family and i went to the empire hotel for dinner because i was also on the gossip girl trip lol. the empire hotel is the hotel chuck bass owns on the show. it's also the hotel where serena vanderwoodsen (blake lively) and tripp vanderbilt (aaron tveit) met and where they made out in an elevator. WE LOVE ICONIC MOMENTS IN TV SHOWS!

after we had dinner, my mom went back to the hotel. i asked my dad if we could go back to stagedoor the evening performance of moulin rouge because i had a feeling aaron was going to come out. my dad said yes, and we started to walk aimlessly around nyc because it was 2 hours until the show ended.

after walking around nyc, we went to the stagedoor about 30 minutes before the show was over. the stagedoor guard opened the door to go inside, and they were right at the end of roxanne so i got to hear aaron's high belt again (bless!).

finally, the show let out and it was time to focus on the stagedoor opening and seeing who comes out.

about 10 minutes later, the stagedoor opened and out came AARON TVEIT! everyone cheered for him and he started to make his way down the line.

he took his time with signing autographs, taking pictures, and talking to his fans. and i did get to see him brush his hair back with his hand and i just about died (tbh i was already deceased after seeing him in the show lol).

when he got to me, i told him how i became obsessed with him in grease: live and how i was surprised to see him in gossip girl (though i never mentioned that a couple of hours ago, i was literally in the hotel where he made out with blake lively).

he smiled and said "thank you" ever so sweetly and he blushed. aaron is actually kind of shy and he's very modest, despite the fact that he's everyone's broadway boyfriend.

we took a quick picture (photo credit to my dad). i asked for a hug, but he had to kindly decline because i don't think security would allow him to (big sad).

besides aaron, i met sahr ngaujah who played henri de toulouse-lautrec (one of the two "interesting men") and jeigh madjus who played baby doll and is a drag queen in this show.

overall, the experience of seeing the show and meeting the actors/actresses was a ton of fun, but hella tiring. i got to meet the love of my life, aaron tveit, but man... it took a lot of energy to profess my love to him haha!

My fucking hockey team won the Stanley Cup!!!!!!!!!!! It was unreal the parade was amazing I cried so many times this last postseason lololol I literally had chills and was screaming when we beat the Penguins and then we just kept going I couldn’t believe it happened. I still think about it and go like holy shit, that was a real thing What do you think of the Vegas Golden Knights? I was annoyed how good they were last year like they made it to the finals...that’s insane. I’m afraid he’ll be traded/they won’t sign him. Nick Backstrom will always be the most under-rated player in the whole league, but def not on the team our team/fan base knows how fucking great Nicky is. Vrana is kinda like Dre, not always consistent, but when he’s good the man is good

Who is your least favourite player in the NHL? I really don’t like Evgeni Malkin. He’s good but ugh I’ve just never been a fan. I’ve never liked Nazem Kadri, he’s kind of a punk

4x02 REVIEW

This is my first time ever doing one of these sooo...be gentle fam.

Kabby

-Can we just talk about the level of comfort these two have achieved with one another in the span of 9 days? It is clear that this is not their first time having sex. There is no timidity or shyness, only passion and relaxation.

-Despite the overwhelming majority of fanfic that portrays Abby as the top, I am not surprised in the least that Marcus Kane was on top. It fits with his dominant personality traits that have been evident since the pilot. Not saying that he wouldn’t be okay with being a bottom, too, but it totally fits his character. Also, I really hope that we get to see more of his mischievous and playful side. I loved his little smirk after the “you are a terrible influence” line. MARCUS SEDUCED HER IT’S CANON YA’LL.

-Fam, the way he wraps Abby in his arms as he puts the necklace around her neck spoke volumes to me. *clears throat to begin singing Frozen* FOR THE FIRST TIME IN FOREVER, I feel no panic about an OTP of mine breaking up. I literally can’t see any advantage storyline-wise that the writers would have in breaking them up. Their relationship has become a literal symbol of hope from the moment Abby kissed his cheek in 3x06. As of right now, I am not worried about one of them dying by the end of the season, I think they both make it.

-Ian and Paige. Kudos. Seriously. They did an amazing job portraying these intimate Kabby moments, and The Oldies are still totally hot (for real though…Ian had me drooling and I’m in my twenties). I’m just so grateful that we got these scenes because, like…ageism is completely a reality in entertainment media these days? Perhaps not in an overtly aggressive form, but ours is a youth-centered culture that usually disregards middle-aged and older adults as being sexually active and/or relationship-oriented people. Honestly. Aside from the Kabby sex scene, I can’t remember the last time I saw a legitimate middle-aged relationship portrayed realistically without shying away from physical intimacy. And ya’ll, it excites me that it’s happening on our TV show through our ship.

-The scene where Marcus discovers that Abby took off her necklace seriously slayed me with feels. THE TENDERNESS IN HIS VOICE WHEN HE ASKS HER WHAT’S WRONG AND THE LOOK ON HIS FACE BEFORE HE HUGS/KISSES HER GOODBYE. Seriously. His eyes are so hopeful and loving and happy when he realizes that she has completely chosen him with no reservations in her heart (PSA: I do not mean to imply that she is forgetting about Jake).

-I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t disappointed at both the brevity of the sex scene and the fact that we didn’t get to see their first time. However, The 100 is a notoriously fast-paced show that relies a lot on implications. I understand that they can only fit so much into an allotted timeslot. I can only hope that we will see more intimate/domestic scenes between them and that this isn’t all we get for the entire season. And ugh pls don’t have my babies separated for long, they literally just took their relationship to the next level.

Jasper

-I’m honestly just tired of his antics. It’s time for him to grow up.

Clarke and Bellamy

-I think their relationship will only grow stronger throughout the season, but I am legitimately surprised that Clarke didn’t have more to say about him choosing the Farm Station slaves over the hydrogenerator. I have to say that I agreed with Monty and Miller.

-I get the feeling that we’re going to feel Jake’s presence in more than just the Kabby scenario. It’s no accident that the writers have brought his memory up as a standard for Clarke, and I think it’s going to be heart-wrenching but awesome to see her have to make the same tough choices that her father died disagreeing with.

-Cupcake Blake’s ardent quest for redemption will probably cloud his judgment this season.

-I honestly can’t wait for Clarke’s reaction to Kabby. Seeing Kane stroke her mother’s face is one thing, but seeing her mother’s wedding ring and necklace removed will probably be much harder for her to accept. We have been told that there will be turbulence in Clarke and Abby’s relationship this season, and my guess is that that will be the kickstarter.

-We’ve also been told that there will be Clarke and Kane leadership adventures. I. Cannot. Wait. To see what this dynamic will be like.

Raven freaking Reyes and Monty

-Raven, my girl. Mm. Slay. Yes. You have the potential to be a great leader.

-BUT. Dang. That comment about Clarke’s father was savage. I literally winced when I watched it. Too low of a blow. Obvi this girl power relationship is gonna be a little strained for a while.

-Monty, also beginning to come into his own as a leader. I absolutely loved the scene where he cut the slaves free and the horde converged on the Ice Nation guard and killed him. I think it was a huge symbol/warning about how dangerous desperate people can be (people get desperate when they find out they’ve been lied to about surviving and thriving).

Jaha

-Pass.

Other Things

-I am so excited for how the rest of this season is going to unfold. With the radiation sickness already starting in the next episode, they are really going to have to ramp things up a notch. I’m curious to see where Abby will be leading her team and what their mission is in 4x04.

-Roan is hot. I hope he continues to be an upright leader. So far, I think he’s doing the best he can, all things considered.

-Echo reminds me of a snake. I don’t like her at this point, but I am keeping an open mind.

-Ambassador!Kane is so freaking sexy. I can’t wait to see how he will do things as Chancellor once he returns to Arkadia.

-As stated before…I hope we get more Kabby moments. More sex scenes (or at least scenes leading up to them having sex or post-sex like in the beginning of 4x02). Mostly because I’m trash, but also because I think it’s really important not to just use that sex scene as a one-off and say, “Oh, well, we showed them doing it once, we never have to show it again. It’s implied that they still do it.” That would be a real injustice to this beautiful middle-aged relationship and to the talent that Ian and Paige have. I still think there is more Kabby development to be explored.

-Octavia is gonna be a force to be reckoned with and I am excited. (Also I am sensing slight Octavia/Ilian vibes maybe…?!?)

-Okay but like who even is this Riley kid and why am I getting both Bryan/Riley and Clarke/Riley vibes. Or maybe I’m just crazy.

Okay WOOOO. So hey, I'm here doing a DR pre-season, because? I am cracked, a mess and SOOO EXCITED. Also, I looked up fun words, to find something to use as my confessional codeword, and "brouhaha" means "a noisy and overexcited reaction or response to something" WHICH IS SO APPROPRIATE. So woo, enjoy the brouhaha that is my excitement for this season. I just wanna say a couple of things: 1) Nicholas and Julia posting those clock gifs is gonna make my head fall off, thats so scary. If it means past season twists like someone said in the VL, I'm NERVY. RoseGold POVs are my biggest fear, and I know there was a season where prejury was all about them so YIKES. Calling it now, I'm gonna get sent home by a rosegold PoV. 2) Emily and Lukas was such an iconic F2, no matter whomst the F2 is in Orre, we will never match them 3) I wanna make some pre-season picks of who I expect to see cast, that way if they win, I can take total credit. I'm feeling like Raffy, Sammy and Aren might be in the cast, based on literally nothing khajsdfla. Raffy as a player terrifies me (I was also the person who brought him into this community so whew), but he gets CRACKED so whew! Aren is a scorpio so we stan. ANYWHO. I'm so excited for this season, its gonna be a HOOOOOT.

Hola, did you miss me? This is going to be me reflecting back on my Johto experience and trying to point out the mistakes I made, and how this game will be different. (this is before cast reveal) The first mistake I did in Johto was go against the premade. I was wary of Connor and Ari, and I thought painting the target on the returnee wouldnt only be easy but would be successful. And then I found out that I couldn't, and then Connor made friends with everybody on my team and fucked me over in the long run. The second mistake I did in Johto was being messy. A prime example was making pseudo "alliance" chats in order to sway the vote for people to keep me. This proved to be unsuccessful. I also had a mental breakdown like every night, so that just buried me more. The third mistake I did in Johto was throw the veto the week I was nominated. I felt like I couldve won it but I decided to study for my test. I didnt compete in the pov that i shouldve won. SO now its time to do what I need to do for my redemption is quite simple. The last 3 ORGs ive played for BB i have made 2nd, 4th, and 3rd. And I learned quite a lot To negate my first mistake I'm not going to publicly target anbody. I will join the mob mentality to ensure my safety in early weeks. To negate my second mistake I am going to keep all my alliances as 1on1s. No alliances bigger than 3 people, and make sure to keep whatever information I have to myself. I will not snake out any information. To negate my third mistake is to try in all competitions. I will not throw anything I will not submit for anything unless I really cant. If I give it my all and still leave I can't beat myself up that bad. I'm nervous, but I'm ready. These freaks aren't gonna know what hit them.

Okay one hour to premiere! The fact that I've made two DRs pre-season? thats wild. I am gonna give a go at predicting the cast, based on... borderline nothing, beyond paranoia: Veronica Constance Raffy Autumn Olivia Eddie Elmo Hals Sammy Aren Those are guesses I'm confident in, so I'm gonna stick to that! Lets see if I get anyone right ajlkdsfas

WHEWIE. Okay I tried filming a video confessional, but my thoughts are such a mess, so I've decided writing it out will be considerably more coherent. YIKES SO. This season is already so wild, like this cast.... is gonna be a lot. I already can tell this season is going to have lots of fights and I don't know... how ready I am for that eeeek. But otherwise, my illiteracy means I don't understand the lottery twist so I love that. The returnee twist is fun though, like I feel like at the start of games, I go into panic mode, so having returnees I can go to about that, might make them feel like I'm an easy number and that they want to work with me? The people I knew before this season (like I'd actually spoken to): Bryce, Julia, Ashvika, Autumn & Olivia (I loosely knew Ricky, Blake & Sammy too) Within the game itself, the people I've had the best conversations with are Jose, Kat, Olivia, Ashvika & John. Olivia is like one of my favourite people in the community, and also a super good player so I'd love to work with her. I also think the fact that we are friends is something nobody in the cast should know (I think) so thats fun. Jose was such a big threat/player last season, and the vibe I get from him this time is he wants to tone that down? I'm not good at working with super cracked people, so him being slightly in the middle between UTR and cracked, will make him a super good person to work with I think. He is also the only person I've like...talked game with, even though its super limited, just that I wanna work with him. I'm a weirdo and watched all the Alola cast assessment stuff, and it sounds like Kat was playing really well, but got stuck in a funky position and couldn't recover, so I think she is gonna be a major threat this time and I'd love to work with her too woooo. Ashvika is a queen. Just plain and simple. She is so wholesome and nice, and already seems loosely on the same page as me, so thats iconic. John scares me ajkhsdfaslf. i think he is a total newbie, and I also think he is gonna get super cracked, and thats.... scary asdkjflas Dennis I just started talking to properly, he is in my timezone-ish, so that will be good for my sleeping pattern if he ever wins HoH or anything, but I worry he may struggle to make connections, so I'm not sure how much he can help me as an ally? Okay SO. I filmed a video confessional earlier, but its already super out of date so its time for an update! I have spoken to lots of people that I hadn't talked to since premiere night which is good, Alivia & Kat are so nice! Jose is, as always a king, and I think (other than Olivia) he is my closest ally rn, so woo we stan. Otherwise, I spoke to Bryce, and it seems like (praise be), I'm not getting nominated, WOO! He says he is nominating Roxy/Autumn, with Julia getting the future shock thingie. Like I told him, the future shock is kind of like a curse and we know Julia loves a good curse, so its a good matchup aljdfkas. Otherwise, these nominations make sense. I LOVE Autumn, but she has been the quietest person in the cast, so I assume she is gonna go first rip. First DR of the game. I'm not going to do first impressions because I'm not that dry. The game started when I was put in this bitch, so I'm here to go at full force. I'm going to play a strong balance of a great 1 on 1 social game while still being a great personality people love. As of right now I'm being constantly dragged and roasted, and I wouldn't want it any other way. (But this is before HOH so the claws are bound to come over) So my game has been very social as of right now. Before HoH I focused on making genuine connections. I'm good with all the returnees at this point. None of them have beef with me, and I made it clear that I want to work with all of them (while this is farther from the truth). I'm just being diplomatic because there's some tension between the returnees that will have to be released soon. With the returnees I connected automatically with Zeezo. Me and her didnt even small talk its was just game talk from moment one. Thats a great relationship to have, and I'm definitely maintaining it. Jose and Alivia have been talking to me more. Jose has been more open with working with me than Alivia so : \\. All the returnees from Kanto-Sinnoh are here because theyre entertaining, the bitches from Unova-Alola would be casted for redemption but don't meet the criteria. I made an alliance with Jelaminah and Ricky. This is mostly because I need to be on Jelaminah's good side because I know the bitch knows how to play. I can't have no newbies on my side. No ma'am Another newbie who stands out for me is John. John is just really active, and such a social threat. Meaning that his word has saying. So far my relationship with him has been "hey let literally help you with anything and expect nothing in return". With him im trying to show myself as a puppet, or somebody who is very very useful with him. And I actually showed that this week when Bryce won HOH. Won't lie I didnt want but also wanted HOH at the same time. When Bryce won it I was very wary of what was going to happen. Then John comes up to me saying that Bryce is thinking of nominating him. And since I had a decent bond with Bryce I know that I had to save John. So when Bryce talked to me he was dead set as Roxy as the initial nom and target, and Julia for safety this week. Then he mentioned that he was on the fence because he didnt know if he wanted Autumn or John nominated. So I told him the truth that it would be silly to nominate somebody as active as John. And so John wasn't nominated. I stuck my neck out for John and was one of the reasons he isn't nominated this week. And these game things build genuine trust since I'm not just talking to talk. That was a stressful lead up to tribal. Richie was really trying to convince me to flip but it just didn't feel right. Why would il allign myself with people I've barely talked to and just trust that I'm not on the bottom? Of course I realize that Blake is a huge threat and needs to go before f3 or he will be the winner. I had a good chat with Tara and Lynn separately and we all agree that he needs to go. Hopefully it'll happen in two tribals from now since he has an advantage/immunity that can only be used at next tribal.

So Raffy and JG voted for me? They really think I was playing some middle when in reality I was just being social and going into survival mode. I am so happy that I won two immunity challenges at once!! I chose the advantage hoping that this would be a good chance to take out Blake. Since I talked to Tara and Lynn about eventually cutting Blake out, I think this would be a good opportunity. I just hope he does not have some sort of advantage to screw this up...

I am very frustrated that Tara is not willing to go for Blake. The things she's saying are making me think that she would rather keep Blake long term and is potentially just using me... Even with me voting Blake, the numbers wouldn't be there and I would be outing myself early on. I guess I just have to keep on winning immunity challenges and hope I am not being played.
