i see some push back these days at the idea of "fandom adults" because there are plenty of adult fans of children's media who aren't automatically uncomfortable to be around, and especially because people who tend to love children's media to a "weird" degree are usually autistic people. but to me an adult fan and Fandom Adult are completely different concepts. i have literally no problem with 30 year olds who collect ducktales merchandise, or know everything there is to know about teenage mutant ninja turtles, or even adults who watch and love modern cartoons for children ranging anywhere from the owl house to the amazing world of gumball to fucking bluey. in fact, i think that's fucking awesome! i think that genuinely loving something so much even if it's intended for a younger audience most of the time is great! i think people who know everything there is to know about the ice age movies keep this world spinning. there's nothing i enjoy more than somebody telling me everything they know about something they care about.
HOWEVER. the problem begins when you get legions of adult fans in fandom spaces primarily for kids that expect the show or the fandom space to cater to THEM. when a bunch of adults start getting very invested in shipping child characters to an uncomfortable degree or expecting the show to be darker than it is and enjoy these things through an extremely skewed lens, sometimes getting into fights online with teenagers because that teenager said that the adult's favorite non canon pairing makes them uncomfortable, THAT fucking sucks. when you start to try and force kids media to cater to YOU, that is the problem. we see it now in many fan spaces here on tumblr, but if we go back in some years with internet history this can be applied to the brony movement as well. i think a bunch of adult men coming together because of their love for a show about magical ponies and friendship fucking rules, but a good chunk of these men either wanted to mold the show into something it wasn't, pushing out its intended audience from the online space or even worse making nsfw content of the characters which is where the actual problem began.
so if I'm hating on fandom adults, know that i am never talking about the autistic person who loves my little pony and collects all of the dolls, i am talking about the person who refuses to acknowledge that not all spaces should cater towards you.

This is a summary of the article that appeared in Bloomberg BusinessWeek, April 3, 2024. I summarized it a fair bit to focus on what was interesting to me in the article. That said, this is still a long read.
Watch out, a couple of swear words in here.
Bluey may be acquired by Disney which would help Disney: 20% of all TV views on the streaming service Disney+ are “Bluey”. In the fourth quarter of 2023 (excluding movies). Americans watched 731 million hours of “Bluey”.
Tumblr media
Brumm accepts an award for best children’s program from the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts in 2019.Photographer: Brendon Thorne/AFI/Getty Images
Joe Brumm is 46, likes sports and surfing, and is brash and unpolished; he seems a little like James Dean in that he’s talented but uncomfortable with fame and having to follow Hollywood conventions and rules… It was noted that Joe Brumm had public relations minders/handlers with him from Disney and the BBC to watch what he said when he was interviewed.
Brumm’s influences include Simpsons, South Park, Peanuts, and Calvin and Hobbes. “Peanuts just meant so much to me growing up” said Brumm. He studied animation in the 2000s at the University of Brisbane and worked in London for the BBC before returning to Australia in 2010 to start Ludo animation.
He came up with Bluey himself, and it was a hard sell initially that the show would be targeting adults and children. He used a lot of his own experiences with his kids to come up with story ideas.
For a while there was the idea of making the show something like an R-rated version of “Peppa Pig”, but that idea was dropped because there was already a similar adult Australian sitcom about raising kids being piloted.
The Australian Broadcasting Company liked the concept of “Bluey” and provided Brumm with A$20,000 ($13,000 US) to create a pilot, which became “The Weekend” episode of Season 1, which was screened at the Asian Animation Summit in November 2016.
Bluey is created at Ludo’s headquarters in Brisbane rather than contracting out the animation overseas, which allows Brumm to continue to tweak episodes up until the last minute. If there’s something he doesn’t like them. He also uses local vocal talent.
The ABC and BBC put up A$6 million to complete the first season of “Bluey”. The BBC made it possible to do this, providing the lion’s share of funding in exchange for distribution and merchandising rights. Australia didn’t have the resources to make the show happen otherwise.
Brumm was very angry when an early critique of Bluey in 2018 said the show made fun of stay-at-home dads; Blumm said he thought to himself “go fuck yourself”.
Within seven months, Bluey was the most watched series ever on the ABC streaming service with 75 million plays of episodes, which led to the BBC commissioning a second season of the show.
Ludo was able to retain control the show, and Brumm was entitled to a share of the revenue.
By 2019, networks in the US were interested in Bluey: Nickelodeon wanted “Bluey”, but they were worried about the name, because it was too close to “Blue’s Clues”. Other networks wanted to change the accents of the characters, and this was a dealbreaker for Ludo and Brumm.
This created an opening for Jane Gould, who was at the time the executive vice president of research and scheduling at Disney’s general entertainment division, who had a comfort level with Bluey because she hailed from Brisbane, and she understood the desire of Brumm and Ludo to keep the show Australian. She didn’t think this was a problem, and she borrowed two episodes to test screen in the US; the kids and parents didn’t have a problem with the Australian aspects of the show. Disney acquired the rights from BBC Studios to air Bluey everywhere except Australia, New Zealand and China.
“Bluey” didn’t get the same marketing push as shows like “The Mandalorian” when Disney+ began broadcasting "Bluey" in June 2020, but soon begin to dominate viewership numbers, in part due to the COVID-19 pandemic. (There was a lot of families spending time watching television and they watched a lot of Bluey.)
The ABC didn’t have a problem with the off-colour humour in “Bluey”, like the use of the word “poo”, and seeing a pony poop in “Markets” and this had to be edited out. Brumm said he hated making these edits... Disney defended these edits saying they were trying to be respectful of different cultural sensitivities, and it’s noted that Disney has since released the uncensored versions of the episodes.
Brumm likes to control his creation. He was upset with some of the early prototypes of Bluey toys because Bandit didn’t look right, he looked like a fridge. He was also concerned that at the beginning that there was too much of a focus on Bluey herself and there weren’t enough toys of all the characters. This concern turned out to be accurate; people wanted toys of all of the characters in the show.
Brumm originally was not sure he wanted to do a second season of “Bluey”, fearing it might not be as good as the first. Brumm doesn’t want to repeat himself in terms of episodes. He wants to make sure that each season is better than the previous one. He was also worried that Bluey would have to stop when Brisbane shut down during the COVID-19 pandemic, but the show continued, with staff working from home.
The “Rain” episode was dialogue-free because Brumm wanted to take a break from writing dialogue at the time.
In Australia, the public and the media have publicly questioned why the ABC didn’t try harder to retain control of the profits from "Bluey" merchandise sales. There was an article in the “Australian Financial Review” that lamented that the ABC had let a gold mine slip through its fingers. It was thought that this decision was shortsighted, but the ABC responded saying they made the best deal at the time that they could. Disney has also been said to have made an error in passing on theme park rights and allowing BBC Studios to retain those rights; people go to Disney parks and ask why they can’t see Bluey there.
Disney isn’t releasing details on whether it’s explored buying “Bluey”, but Ludo says Bluey isn’t for sale, but this could change.
It is noted that there hasn’t been a clear announcement of a fourth season. Brumm has stated previously there will be a hiatus and he’s concerned about the children’s voices changing. His preference not to have to replace the voice actors, and he knows he can’t continue to draw upon his own kids experiences because they’ve grown up.
During the interview, Brumm’s handlers interjected and couldn’t said he couldn’t discuss the final episode.
Speaking anonymously, someone familiar with Disney’s “Bluey” dealings said that Brumm is trying to decide whether he’s comfortable letting other people write for the show, which would make it easier to continue to create episodes, and possibly smooth the way for a Disney acquisition in the future, as Disney would be reluctant to spend billions on a show with only three seasons of episodes.
Brumm said over email that he’s already collaborated on writing some additional episodes and ultimately it isn’t his decision who writes Bluey as he doesn’t own the show.
He thinks the final episode is magical and it sums up everything Bluey has tried to do in the last few years.

I wonder how many people realize that the best way to support the cartoons they love is to… buy the merch?
The official merch.
It really is that simple. It’s why Transformers and My Little Pony keep coming back. It’s why there are so many Barbie movies. Why Kevin Smith’s Masters of the Universe failed but the 3D animated He-Man is thriving. Why Pokemon is the biggest money making franchise of all time and will never not have an anime. Why Bluey, Cocomelon, and other little kid cartoons are having money poured into them while other studios are being cut off ruthlessly. It’s why Frozen and Cars got fucking sequels while The Owl House was reduced to 3 specials for its final season.
Because, for those IPs, people buy the official merch.
Parents aren’t going on Etsy to get a hand-crochet plush of Bluey or Bingo. They’re picking one up at Target. The Transformers collector isn’t buying small batch stickers from a fanartist on redbubble, he’s buying an official hasbro figure at the comic store and his kids a sticker sheet at Walmart. Hand painted cards are never going to replace the Pokemon TCG.
And that’s where companies make their animation budget back. Not through advertisements. Not through subscriptions. Merch.
And it doesn’t matter if the fan stuff is better made. It doesn’t matter if you can commission exactly what you want. As much as it sucks, fan merch is copyright infringement, and the animation companies don’t see a single red cent from it.
You can sign all the petitions you want. You can stream every single one of these cartoons in the background on a repeat to falsify watch numbers, you can post all the fanart and fanfiction you want in an active fandom of millions and it won’t save your show. So long as the cartoon isn’t justifying the expense of animation from official merchandise sales, the companies have no incentive to keep making them.
I’m not saying those actions never work. But the surest way to make sure these companies stay invested in your favorite cartoon, is to make sure their investment in your favorite cartoon pays off.
Edit: it’s in a reblog, but I’m adding it here too.
I’m aware that these companies aren’t making that much merchandise for some of these shows. Definitely not at the level a bunch of shows from my childhood were. In which case we need to be asking three important questions:
Why do they not think these shows are marketable?
Why are they making these shows if they don’t think they are marketable?
How do we let them know we will buy official merch in a quantity that will get their attention?
Money talks to these corporations, so why are they cutting off their ears?

Current Animation Fandom: An Angry and Massive Rant!!
Hey, it's me, Aniket!! I am so Sad and Angry and Mad about the last weekend, after the news broke out that Star Trek: Prodigy is Cancelled at Paramount+, and Removing the series on there, and S1 Arc II not returning to premiere on Nickelodeon US!! It was a Heart-wrenching News for all the trekkies and animation fan like me!! Then after that, Petitions are made, DVDs and Blu-rays were sold out, Toy sales were up, despite Yesterday, Paramount+ removed the Series, on the eve of Showtime Merger in US!! But Today, it's also sad day for me, Again!! Because, Today, Paramount Plus removed my Favourite Nick Jr show, which was the best after Oswald ended, Peter Rabbit, among other Nickelodeon shows and Movies!!
Tumblr media
The thing is, now, Nickelodeon don't want us to enjoy the shows that we love!! All they care about is those shows which are successfully Cash-grabbing from the esteemed target demographic audience from age 2-11!! Gone are those days, when people watched and adored Avatar: The Last Airbender!! And Today, I'm Massively Ranting those Corporative Studios like Nickelodeon and most importantly, Current Generation Animation Fans, who are responsible for all these debacles!!
In my 23 Years of Human Life, I have never Encountered a Humiliation from Current-Gen Animation Fandom and those big big Corporative Animation Companies, until the cancellation of Star Trek Prodigy broke out!! And I will tell you, they aren't the Same Animation Fans I know for 23 years or so!! They care about those shows, which are Popular, despite of those shows gone in decline and downfall for last 2 or 3 seasons, not those Gems like Star Trek: Prodigy and all!! And those shows are Cash Cows, back then at first 2 or 3 Seasons, they were good!! But some Money-Greedy Showrunners messed around the lore of their respective series and manipulated the Animation Fandom that this is canon, this is actual canon!! Then the Fans of the shows, blindly believing them, while some of them were frustrated, ended up leaving the fandom of the show he/she/they loved once upon a time!! I'll take Two Shows as Factual Examples!! And Believe me, these fandom of those shows are toxic and they do not care about other shows!! Troll me hard if you want, criticise me if you want, but all of them are Facts, you cannot change that!!
Starting with Very Juvenile one, i.e. TV-Y rated Show, preschoolers show!! You've guessed what I'm talking about!! PAW Patrol!!
This Nick Jr. Show, has now being immensely popular for the toy sales and everything!! It was good for first 2 or 3 seasons, until Spin Master screwed up the series lore for more toys sales and merchandising!! It's going on for 10 years dated back in 2013!! They even produced a theatrical Movie in 2021, namely, PAW Patrol: The Movie, which was decent good, imo. And they even gonna release a sequel of the movie coming in this Fall!! But the condition of the fandom of this very series is not good at all currently!! These are from an Honest PAW Patrol fan's thread tweets in support of this argument!!
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Now, you realised!! Those Fans are Toxic!! And Do I have to remind you about the unnecessary romantic shippings of this series, for example of Chase x Skye etc?? Do I have to??
And that too from a Preschool series, which has a massive fanbase, all over the world!!
And because of PAW Patrol, no other preschoolers series have a chance to get a Spotlight!! Even, Bluey have got comparatively slightly lower fanbase than PAW Patrol fanbase!! Is it just unfair or not?? And because of PAW Patrol, other Nick Jr shows aren't doing well in Viewership, despite of being Good!! They are just booted to lesser known Nick Jr. Channel or just ended the run, that's it!! (And Rubble & Crew, the spinoff of PAW Patrol, isn't my cup of tea, honestly)
And for the Second Instance, while I have to say this, but if I say that show's name, everyone will charge upon me and rip me into pieces!! I know, but who cares!! That is Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir!!
And I know, as you reach it there, you're now just ripping me in pieces! But lemme explain!!
This French Animated Series was good for 2 seasons!! It had the same Potential as I had with Star Trek: Prodigy!! But, the Showrunners, Especially that Egoistic Thomas Astruc (I have dare to say him that, because he blocked me on Twitter more than a year ago) destroyed this series for nothing!! He doesn't know what he's doing!! He's leading to destroy the lore, he wants nothing but your money through Merch sales, just like PAW Patrol is doing!!
And the fandom of this series is as toxic as hell!! They are blindly following this series, despite not knowing what's going wrong with the series!! Because of them and Thomas Astruc, just like PAW Patrol, other shows, in TV-Y7 rated Shows, especially, can't get any chance to shine!! If you observe the data of Nielsen Ratings for US television, Miraculous Ladybug and PAW Patrol were among those shows to have much bigger audience!! But not other shows, especially once dominating SpongeBob SquarePants on Nickelodeon!! Speaking of Nickelodeon, I wanna state that Miraculous Ladybug is not a Disney Channel Show, it's a Nickelodeon Show, just sub-licensed to Disney Channel in order to save SpongeBob, because Nickelodeon US and TFOU by TF1 in France (the original broadcaster of Miraculous Ladybug) is having a Tie-up!! It was first aired on Nickelodeon in US!!
Now, for the sake of Animation Gods, is it right for you to compare some egoistic creator, who blocks everyone on Twitter more than the CEO of Twitter, Elon Musk, as "Bigger than Walt Disney" by making a Worldwide Phenomenon?? Because I think it's not right!! Because Miraculous just wasted the potential!! And don't talk me about the Shipping, which is the driving force for this series!! All of the shippings are wasted potential!! And the Story goes on and on for 5+ seasons, there is no resolution, and Thomas Astruc is thinking for going up to 12 seasons!! Why not go for 100 seasons, 50 TV Specials and 10 Movies and beyond, and still have no resolution, huh?? What's the problem?? Just realise, These Fandom aren't letting any other show than Miraculous and PAW Patrol to get the spotlight!!
Miraculous Ladybug and PAW Patrol are now being the reason why I hate this Current Animation Fandom!! This is not the Animation Fandom, I know for 23 years and this is not the Animation media I know for 23 years!! You cannot ignore other shows just to focus on One or Two Popular Animated shows!!
Imagine, being a Tom & Jerry Fan focusing on Tom & Jerry only but not equally treating other cartoons such as Mickey Mouse or Looney Tunes or Animaniacs!! It also applies for vice-versa!!
You know, This Current Animation Fandom don't have any sense, what is a Good Show and what is not!! They only follow the Popular ones whether being good or bad!! They should learn the "Rights and Equality" to Animated Series and Movies, whether they like it or not!!
That's why Velma, being a worst show from Scooby-Doo franchise, renewed and set to premiere for Season 2, but not Star Trek: Prodigy or other gem series!! Same goes for Miraculous Ladybug and PAW Patrol and SpongeBob SquarePants to some extent!! They don't give other shows any bare chance to flourish!!
I don't know, but Star Trek: Prodigy hasn't been canceled by Tax Write-off mainly, tax write-off is part of the reason!! The main reason is that current Animation Fandom's Negligence and irresponsibility to save other series!! And then they will be glad and celebrate themselves, because they have done this horrendous work to cancel other series, which were gems, and call it as their "Major Victory"!!??
This is the same method why, The Owl House got canned by Disney!!
In my opinion, I think the only thing to resolve all this blasphemy, is to STOP supporting animation until things get any better!! This is the only thing I can see to Save Animation as an Artistic Media!! Because Animation is indeed an Artistic Media, not a Financial Media!!
As of now, I'm renouncing as an Animation Fan, until things get better, for a while!!
Because, Animation Industry now have set a rule, that if any series is not getting any appreciation or attention from Animation Audience, not getting into the level of Miraculous Ladybug, PAW Patrol, SpongeBob, The Loud House or Teen Titans Go!, That series will get automatically canned, no matter what!! This is not the Animation Industry/Fandom we want!!
Two months ago, The Owl House got canned, now Star Trek: Prodigy won't be returning for S2 and canned at this moment, this Friday, Bubble Guppies ending it's 12 years long run!! And if we can't take any action right now, your favourite show will be next!!
Be Warned, Be Respective, and Be Responsible!!
2023 is NOT the Best Year for Animated Kids TV Series!! It's Worst!!
I'm Out of here!!
Sorry, for the long Post!! But I want to get it off of my chest!!
Thank you for reading this far!!

Three in One Post
For my P-Pal's Drawing.
Tory 😺🩰: Looks really adorable Riya you brought home a pink rabbit. I bet Jenny will love that. Also, Maybe we should enjoy some treats together and dance afterwards. 😊
And for my P-Pal's On this Day Post.
I remember seeing Maxwell's style in Peppa Pig, normally I only remember the US Dub when it used to air on the Cartoon Network Tickle U block, which normally doesn't have good ones on Kid shows. But I know Peppa Pig was Brought back only on Nickelodeon, they only did it in the UK Dub which now gets overboard and is too popular for kids. Even when they showed so much merchandise for Peppa Pig. Even the storyline is lazy and that narrator is always like "Oh Dear! De ta de ta de!" I know these narrators can be over the top depending on which narrator I'm listening to. Even if they didn't keep going like "Oh Dear! Ha ha ha ha ha!" And some kids shows sometimes don't need a narrator. Thomas and Friends Narrating is good because depending on the American or British Dub, they're both good. But with other kids shows, like say Bluey for Example, that show doesn't use a Narrator, since the show is a lot like Peppa Pig, except it has Dogs and the show doesn't use a Narrator and I like that, because the story goes on depending on the story. And when I saw Maxwell's style in the Bluey Universe, it looked really good. Especially if Maxwell wants to tag along with Bluey, Bingo and their friends alongside their families and friends.
And for Response to both my P-Pal and my A-Pal about the Gumball Video.
Yes, I know the Castle Episode where Gumball, Darwin and Anais spend their casual time with their dad and have a party with a bunch of people. But Nicole didn't have to get too Brutal with the People. And yeah I also don't like the Finale episode either like where the Wattersons face the consequences, the Finale would've been better if the Wattersons were sent to a Different Cartoon Network world. Like say they went into the Regular Show universe, except Gumball got separated from his family and was sent to the Park. Gumball decided to get his mind off of Elmore and he even applied for a job as a Park Keeper and Benson assigned Gumball to work with Mordecai and Rigby and the three of them managed to do some of their work and tasks and managed to get them finished. And Mordecai and Rigby kinda like having Gumball around, even Benson toned down his anger since Gumball, Mordecai and Rigby finished their jobs at the right time. But if things get worse like how Benson yelled at them for no reason after saving the park, then his boss, Mr. Mallard, Pops' father, then Demotes Benson to work with Pops and Skips and Nicole Watterson is the new Park Manager, and Darwin will work with Muscle Man and High Five Ghost, and Anais and Richard will enjoy their time at the Apartment. Since that's where Nicole, Richard and Anais live now. And Nicole Watterson will only get angry only if either the Park is in danger by Bad guys or during Park Prank Wars against Jean. And Benson will give Nicole advice about taking on a Prank War and Muscle Man will give her Advice too. And at normal times, I'm sure everyone will get advice from Skips. And at the Coffee Shop, it's only Penny and Eileen working at the Coffee shop now and Rigby and Gumball will enjoy getting drinks and meals anytime. Even if Margaret found a different job.
And that's how I would rewrite the Finale episode in Gumball.
Or if Gumball doesn't get a movie soon, I hope we can work on Cartoon Network in Persona 5 where we have Gumball enjoy his Modern day life in the Cartoon Network town looking a lot like Tokyo. And Penny and Morgana will be there with him, as well as for their Cartoon Network friends and Professor Utonium.

What's the money for the Bluey zine going towards? I tried to look into it but I need to download an app for the answer
Ah, on Tellonym right? I apologize for the inconvenience! I'll just copy and paste what the mods said on there because they're better at explaining than me :,)
First and foremost, the majority of money made from the zine will go straight into production costs. That includes printing copies of books and merchandise as well as shipping parcels worldwide to our buyers. After that's accounted for, our priority shifts to compensating the contributors and mods who made this zine happen with a full bundle. Depending on what's left over once everyone has received their items and shipping has concluded, any excess profit will be divided equally among all participants as further compensation for their time and passion. Hopefully that gives you a good sense of our goals and priorities!
They're much better at breaking things down than I am lol. But yeah that's pretty much it! it would mean the world to our team of artists and organizers if you'd consider supporting us and our hard work! :)

It's an interesting choice making all this kids merchandise with characters from franchises that were popular in the 90's when the kids wearing it have no fucking clue who these characters are.
Like sure they're appealing to the parents, but as a kid that would suck!
And the franchises that they have merch for in stores for is so limited. Genuinely, it's pokemon, bluey, various Disney, fortnite and minecraft. There's so many shows and that's all they get

Welcome to my Blog! I'm very new to Tumblr, so be patient as I learn to use it😅
As you can tell by my profile, I'm a really HUGE fan of the TV series Bluey, and PAW Patrol. I also collest merchandise for both TV shows. For PAW Patrol I mainly collect merchandise of the pups Zuma, and Chase. I'm also an artist, I love making fanart of my favorite characters. I'm also on the spectrum, and aswell have ADHD and intense anxiety, so I do politely ask if you approach me in DMs or comments/any kind of communication, I do ask you're gentle with me, so it doesn't cause intense emotions for me:)
I'm also not very appreciative of criticism, so if you have any criticisms, I do politely ask you keep them to yourself.
I do look forward to making friends on here that have similar interests, and showing my love for my special interests.
This is a safe space for all sexualities, genders, fandoms, and backgrounds, everypup is welcome💙🏳️‍⚧️🐾🏳️‍🌈

Bluey is an Australian preschool animated television series that premiered on ABC Kids on 1 October 2018. The program was created by Joe Brumm and is produced by Queensland-based company Ludo Studio. It was commissioned by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and the British Broadcasting Corporation, with BBC Studios holding global distribution and merchandising rights. The series made its premiere on Disney Junior in the United States and is released internationally on Disney+.
The show follows Bluey, an anthropomorphic six-year-old Blue Heeler puppy who is characterised by her abundance of energy, imagination and curiosity of the world. The young dog lives with her father, Bandit; mother, Chilli; and younger sister, Bingo, who regularly joins Bluey on adventures as the pair embark on imaginative play together. Other characters featured each represent a different dog breed. Overarching themes include the focus on family, growing up and Australian culture. The program was created and is produced in Queensland; its capital city Brisbane inspires the show's setting.
Bluey has received consistently high viewership in Australia on both broadcast television and video on demand services. It has influenced the development of merchandise and a stage show featuring its characters. The program has won two Logie Awards for Most Outstanding Children's Program as well as an International Emmy Kids Award in 2019. It has been praised by television critics for depicting a modern everyday family life, constructive parenting messages and the role of Bandit as a positive father figure.

hi! idk if ur the right place to come to but i cant think of anywhere else soo.... \(^▽^)/ i was wondering!
is it common within posic+ communities knowledge to have an object take the identity of likeee. a fictional character or something? i ask this becuz one of my companions is an orca plushie who. upon becoming fully sapient asked to be called idate and has a personality similar to that of the fictional character created by funamusea/okegom. Love him dearly but is this an odd thing? Or has anybody else experienced it? i have companions who are anime figurines as well who developed personalities identities etc completely different from the character who they represent which is to be expected but Idate just went. Yeah. I'm This Guy . sorry if this is vague. thanks babydog! -🩸
totally the right place, no worries :0) !!
this isn't super common, but i do know of a few companions who've taken on pre-existing fictional identities. usually though, the companions who do that are some sort of merchandise OF the character they are (like a Bluey plush who IS Bluey.) i dont think it's super odd - if human bodied people can be fictionkin (or whatever label Idate uses,) companions can be too
as with all things related to being POSIC, our community only came around within the last year so our history is still being written. if you have an experience and you're unsure if it's a "real" POSIC experience, it is because you experience it, regardless of whether or not other POSIC beholders have or not :0)
