Hey, I discovered your blog recently and I’m loving it. I really like your writing, please, keep along with <3
I was wondering if you could write some headcanons about how would Brook, Sanji and Caesar react if they caught the person who likes them secretly drawing them, please.
Thank you <333
Hi!! Thank you so much kind anon! ♥ I loved your request really because I love those three characters so much!! QQ ♥ I hope you like it!
❤ Sanji, Brook and Caesar reacting to the person who likes them secretly drawing them ❤
Tumblr media
Unlike you, Sanji is the strict opposite of discretion and would usually smother you with his affection and definitely his food. He would go to great lengths to show you his feelings, even though they might not be reciprocated. He always thought that you were not interested in him since you never responded to his actions. But who could blame you? Sanji was a true gentleman to everyone, and gentleman was an adjective far too weak to describe him.
So when he came to you to give you something to eat and drink during one of your drawing sessions it hit him like a truck. He was so unbelievably surprised to see you secretly drawing him in your notebook that he almost fainted right here and then. The poor Sanji almost cried right in his place.
He couldn’t trust his eyes. He was so pleased to see that you thought of him so kindly that you were drawing him. After all he had gone through Sanji thinks of himself as unloveable and pathetic, especially after Whole Cake Island. So knowing that you have some affections left for him warmed his feeble heart.
He wouldn’t let you know what he saw. Sanji would just walk towards you as nothing happened, but inside his heart, he is content and happy. After that Sanji would calm down with his overly showing side. But strangely his most serene face feels more real and not just a façade.
Tumblr media
Brook, just like Sanji, isn't really confident with the idea that you could reciprocate his feelings. After repeating his jokes about him being dead countless times, Brook knows too well that he’s only a skeleton with nothing to offer, no warmth during cold nights, nor any kind of skin contact, only the coldness of bones and death. But one man can dream and hope for the better. He still has the faith that one day he will tell you how he truly feels.
So when he approached you to show you his newest song he was bewildered to find you drawing him in your notebook. At first he thinks that maybe you just wanted to practice drawing anatomy or whatsoever, however his heart was trying to tell him something else. His desire for it to be something completely different couldn't stop spreading in his heart.
But unlike Sanji, Brook came nearer and struck a conversation with you asking if you were drawing him hoping that you would open up to him. He sat next to you, visibly content. Happiness was radiating for him and you could actually feel it too. His mood could only rub on you and you thought that maybe you could show him too.
This little moment between the two of you encouraged him to not give up on his feelings yet. Maybe, maybe he had a chance, after all. He just cannot possibly go a day without your smile and laugh. This poor skeleton definitely needs you to bring up some spice in his gloomy life.
Tumblr media
Like the others, Caesar thinks of himself as unworthy of love, especially after everything he has done in his life. He may not feel guilty, but the man knows that what he did was clearly not acceptable. So when he caught feelings for you, Caesar didn't think he had any chance with you. He dismissed any thoughts or wants to act on his feelings, as he knew it was a waste of time, even though he wanted it so badly.
Caesar is definitely the type to pry and to watch you from afar secretly. So, when he saw you sketching him in your notebook, the man almost let out a screech, completely taken aback by what he saw. He even might rub his eyes to be sure he is seeing right. Why in your right mind would you draw him out of everyone?
He is also the type to overthink a lot. Maybe you think he is handsome? Or maybe you also caught feelings? But he dismissed those thoughts as soon as they arrived. After all it is very unlikely that you reciprocate his feelings. You are his perfect opposite. You are someone kind and welcoming, someone that everyone would fall for.
So as pathetic he thinks he is and feels, he sits still far away from you hoping that one day you could love him back even after everything he did. But as for now, watching over you is enough for him. His only fear is to lose you to someone else, but how could he win you over?

nothing in the world belongs to me |carmen berzatto x reader|
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
prompt: still new in your relationship, you show up to the bear for dinner unexpectedly, surprising carmen and the others.
based off this prompt from the other day :)
contains: fluff lol. really, it's just fluff. established-ish relationship (the others don't know). carmen being a little nervous and possessive but mainly cute <3 language.
“Alright, listen up,” Richie stood next to Sydney, flicking through the piles of tickets that were ringing through by the second. It was normal now, an expected task in their routine. “We need to walk the focaccia to table seven, please.”
“Yes, Chef!” A chorus of nearly robotic voices rose from the sizzling hiss of the lamb searing in Carmen’s pan, lifting the spatula to tip the meat over, before giving it back to the chef on the line.
“And for table nine, we’ve got a shellfish allergy, alright? So let’s triple check the cross contamination on that. T, can you handle that one?” Richie moved from his leather bound book of notes back to the ticket.
“Yes, Chef!” Tina chimed, pulling a freshly washed pan, filling it with the veal stock.
“Table nine, is that- that’s the senator?” Carmen turned to Richie, tasting the roux bubbling on Victoria’s station, giving her a curt nod of approval.
“No, that’s table eleven.” Richie hummed, looking back at his notebook. “Nine, is… a birthday. Booked online.” Carmen had already begun to drone him out, mind racing with a million other things as Richie listed the guests name. Until he got to one.
The name Carmen was sure he was hallucinating. The name no one knew- How would they know? How could they possibly know your name?
You and Carmen had been seeing each other for a little while. A few weeks that were slowly turning into months. A casual thing that was slowly turning more serious. Dates and meetups are becoming more frequent. You’d even invited him over to your place a few times, he’d spent the night last week.
Still, Carmen hadn’t managed to tell anyone. Selfishly, he liked that you were all his for now. Privacy was not guaranteed in the Berzatto house, in Carmen’s life still. He knew they meant well, they always did- he knew it wasn’t purposeful, the intrusion that almost always led to a demise. Carmen wasn’t ready for it, not yet, he still wanted you all to himself.
“Carmen?” Sydney’s voice pulled him out of his panicked trance. “Chef, are you- are you good?” Her voice lilted with that familiar suspicious quip, the one always accompanied with her lifted brows.
“What?” Carmen blinked, hands buzzing, heart thumping. He could see the window, Richie’s frame blocking most of it. “Sorry, yeah- yeah, I’m good, Chef.”
Sydney watched him carefully, a slow nod before she continued calling out orders. Carmen could feel Richie’s eyes on him, narrowed with curiosity. Carmen tried to be nonchalant, crossing the kitchen back towards Tina, his eyes cutting carefully, looking out the window.
There you were.
Sitting pretty at the middle table, surrounded by friends, some Carmen recognized from your Instagram. He’d actually logged in to the app, looked you up after the first date, consumed every photo of yours in the dark of his room. Cheeks burning with excited heat, stomach fluttering in a way he hadn’t felt since junior high.
“Alright, walk five salads to nine.” Sydney called out. “Where’s our runners? God, Richie, can you run-”
“-I got it.” Carmen called, the urgency in his tone making Tina jump behind him. Carmen took the tray before Gary could, his hands shaking as he lifted it.
“Cousin, I can get it.” Richie frowned.
“No, I-I got it.” Carmen nodded, swallowing down his fluttering nerves. His eyes cut to your table through the window, heart skipping when he saw you. “I got it. I’ll be- I’ll just be a second.”
“I don’t- I can’t even handle that one right now.” Sydney sighed in exasperation. “Alright, Chefs. Let’s get back on track.” She announced, shaking her head. Richie frowned, pulling out his phone.
Sugar’s cell buzzed against the hostess stand, excusing herself to check it.
From: Richie
‘Look at table nine.’
Sugar huffed.
To: Richie
‘Why? Is there something wrong?’
She stepped back, casually turning to scan the room, eyes landing on the table. A small group of girls, younger, and amongst them- Carmen?
To: Richie
‘Is something wrong with the food? Do I need to comp it?’
From: Richie
‘No. Cousin wanted to go out there.’
Sugar frowned, angling her body behind the large plant near the front as casually as she could. She watched through the leaves as Carmen passed out the salads, each girl grinning widely, but their eyes always cut to one on the end.
Carmen saved your salad for last, hoping the lowlights of the restaurant would hide his boyish blush, setting the bowl in front of you carefully. “Hey,”
“Hi,” You smiled sheepishly, looking to meet his gaze. “Everything looks so good.”
“Yeah? Thanks.” Carmen nodded. “I-I didn’t know you were comin’ tonight.”
“I’m sorry.” You cringed softly, embarrassed heat flooding through your veins. You knew better, knew you shouldn’t have done this- showed up at his restaurant unannounced.
“I, uh, it’s my friend’s birthday.” You nodded towards Alicia at the end of the table. “And I was telling them about that pasta you made me, and they really wanted to come try it.” Your nerves bubbled, rambling in nervous peals that seemed to pour out before you could stop them.
“Yeah, no, that’s really nice. Thank you.” Carmen nodded, giving a half smile to your friends, hoping they didn’t see the way he wiped his clammy hands on his apron. “Why didn’t- Why didn’t you just call me? Tell me you were comin’ in.”
“I didn’t want to bother you.” You muttered softly. “I honestly didn’t think you’d even see us here, I swear. I didn’t mean to bother you or anything-”
“-You’re not bothering me.” Carmen’s voice dropped to a coo, accompanied with a soft smile that had your head spinning. “Never a bother, but, uh, next time? Bother me, ok? Wanna make sure you get the best seat in the house.”
Your cheeks flushed with heat, your friends excited giggles only intensifying the rushing heat blanketing over your body. Carmen’s own cheeks heated, tongue rolling on the inside of his cheek to hide his grin.
“Alright?” Carmen added, and in a complete act of shocking boldness, his hand squeezed your shoulder affectionately. A small gesture on the outside, but for Carmen, it was huge.
“Alright.” You grinned, leaning into his touch, your hands sliding over his.
“How’s everything so far?” Carmen turned to the table, nodding at the excited gushes of compliments, not missing the way your friends cut their eyes to you with animated glee.
“Just let me know if you need anything, ok?” Carmen turned to you.
“I will.” You nodded, starry eyed with love sick affection.
“Good. I’ll see you before you leave, alright?” Carmen muttered, ducking down towards you. His lips brushed over your cheek, your perfume clouding his senses. “You’re not botherin’ me. ‘M glad you’re here.”
Your cheek pressed to his, a gentle, affectionate rub before Carmen parted. Both of your features painted with shy delight.
Carmen could feel everyone’s eyes, through flickering gazes and lifted brows. Sydney’s gaze lingering over him skeptically, still counting tickets. Fak’s wide grin from the corner, loading trays to take out.
“Hey, uh, Marcus.” Carmen ignored Richie’s raised brows, a teasing, questioning remark on the tip of his tongue.
“Yes, Chef?” Marcus muttered, looking up from the cannolis he was garnishing.
“Table nine has a birthday. I was thinkin’ maybe the chocolate ganache, punch it with the little circle to make it look like a cake. Add a candle?” Carmen muttered, hand rubbing across his face.
“Yeah, Chef, I can do that.” Marcus nodded.
“Thank you.” Carmen nodded. “And Chef? Let me know when it’s ready before you walk it.”
Marcus frowned. “No, it’s not- I just wanna walk it, ok?” Carmen shook his head.
“Alright.” Marcus nodded slowly. “Heard, Chef.”
Richie smirked, leaning against the stainless steel table. “So,” Richie hummed. “There a complaint or somethin’? Need me to go talk to ‘em-”
“-No,” Carmen snapped, the possessiveness in his tone startling the both of them. “Sorry, it’s- No, I-I don’t need you to do that, Chef. Everything’s good.”
Richie nodded slowly, passing the dishes to Gary with a nod. “You gonna tell me what that was about?”
“No, Chef.” Carmen clipped, an edge to his tone that was teetering on annoyed. “But, uh, there’s not gonna be a check on table nine.”
“What?” Richie frowned. “Did you mess somethin’ up? Seriously, Cousin, if something's wrong it’s my job to know-”
“-No, it’s not-.” Carmen huffed, eyes pinching closed, running a hand over his face in frustration. “Look, that’s… The girl on the end? I-I’ve been kinda seein’ her, ya know?” He muttered.
Richie gawked, blinking in disbelief. “No shit.” He grinned. “No shit? You-You’re serious?” He turned to look out the window.
“Don’t fuckin’ look.” Carmen hissed. “Look, it-it’s not a big deal, alright? Just don’t-don’t say anything o-or do anything.”
Richie swallowed back a teasing remark, a reactive reaction from years of being with Mikey. How the two of them used to tease Carmen endlessly, until they were fighting on the front lawn, Mikey howling with laughter while Carmen was red faced with mortified anger.
This time, Richie held back. He wasn’t sure why, call it divine intervention, a gut feeling maybe, but it felt different this time.
“Alright.” Richie nodded slowly. “No ticket for nine. Heard.”
Carmen’s foot tapped anxiously. “I mean, right? Th-That’s what I should do right?” Carmen looked over his shoulder out the window. “That would be shitty to give her a check? Be a complete jagoff move to charge her?”
“Yeah,” Richie scoffed lightly. “Jagoff of the fuckin’ year. Makin’ your girl pay to come to your place.”
Carmen’s heart swelled at the term- your girl. His girl. You were his girl.
“Walk four Pappardelle to nine. Walk one Pappardelle vegetarian style to nine.” Sydney called.
Carmen dipped the spoon in the glaze, garnishing the plate before sliding it towards Sydney. “So, you gonna take these out?” He muttered.
“No,” Carmen huffed. “Gonna wait until the cake.”
“Yeah, good idea, Cousin.” Richie nodded with a proud smile. “That when you’re gonna tell them no check tonight?”
“No,” Carmen shook his head. “I don’t- It would feel weird comin’ from me.” He looked up at Richie. “I was gonna let you do it.”
“Yeah, I can handle that.” Richie smirked. “And I won’t say anything, Cousin.” He stopped Carmen before he could say it. “I got you, Cousin. I won’t fuck it up, alright?”
Carmen nodded slowly, a strangled thank you on the tip of his tongue. The door swung open behind Richie, and for a second, Carmen caught a glimpse of you. Smiling and laughing, leaned in over the table, no doubt giggling with your friends about him. Carmen’s heart squeezed, but this time, without fear. No, there was no dooming fear that you were mocking him, making fun of him. This time, he felt the content rush of adrenaline filled love. A change in his routine, yes. Unexpected, sure, but he was glad for it. Glad that you were there- here, with him.

Who Are You Again?
Based on the following ask: I had another plot thought! Aaron x BAU Reader (female or gender neutral) where Reader disobeys an order to save a victim and gets hurt really bad. Reader wakes up in the hospital to Aaron who is angry at first but then is shocked when it turns out that Reader has retrograde amnesia from the injury. Reader has forgotten their entire career in the BAU and even that They and Aaron were secretly dating! Last thing Reader actually remembers was attending a lecture in college where Aaron was a guest speaker and Reader developed a crush on him! Now Aaron has to carefully navigate helping Reader recover without outing their relationship to anyone else. Or maybe he wonders if it's better they forget? But for a HEA ending definitely Aaron doing something romantic sparks a memory and helps everything come flooding back. @nyxwolph thank you for requesting again and trusting me with your ideas! – I did have to change things up a bit (I struggled big time with this one)

“In chaos theory, the butterfly effect is the sensitive dependence on initial conditions in which a small change in one state of a deterministic nonlinear system can result in large differences in a later state.” Essentially, something as small as a butterfly flapping its wings could cause something as catastrophic as a tornado.
Aaron wondered what small event happened that led to this moment right now. A moment that would change the trajectory of your lives forever.
*36 hours earlier*
“Garcia has the unsubs location; he’s headed down a backroad just east of the 95.” Aaron said.
“He’s devolving, he’s probably going to try and dispose of his latest victim.” Morgan chimed in.
“Not if we have anything to do with it.” JJ replied.
“His location is being shared with you all, everyone be safe, at this point he’s going to be willing to do anything to avoid prison.” Hotch added.
“I’m close by, I am going to go try and cut him off.” You suggested.
The team expressed their worry and care and urged you to be careful. The only thing you had on your mind, however, was saving the five-year-old boy this unsub had hidden. You drove as fast as your vehicle would allow, you had to get to the unsub. You had to save that boy.
As you got closer to the location Garcia had shared, you could see the dust trail the unsubs car was leaving down the road. You thought about your options, and you made a snap decision. Drive on, no matter the consequences – take out the unsub’s car. So that’s what you did.
You drove forward and your car t-boned the unsubs, only you hadn’t considered that he’d be driving a semi tractor. Upon impact, your SUV was crushed, in your rush to get to the unsub you’d forgotten to put on your seatbelt and your body was ejected through the windshield.
The accident was enough to stop the unsub long enough for the team to arrive. As they surveyed the scene, Aaron’s stomach dropped. He immediately began barking orders, demanding medics, and sending agents to the unsubs’ farm to find the boy.  Throughout everything he refused to leave your side.
*Present Day*
“Sir, we had to place her in a medically induced coma to allow the swelling in her brain to go down.” The doctor explained.
“Is there an estimate as to how long it’ll be until she wakes up?” Aaron asked.
“With these kinds of injuries, it’s hard to say. The brain is a tricky thing, and no two injuries are alike. We just have to wait and see.”
“Thank you.” Aaron said, shaking the doctor’s hand.
Your doctor made her exit and Aaron moved to the seat beside your bed. He gently took your hand in his own placing a kiss to the back of it before returning it to your side. Aaron had thought back to the night everything changed.
*One year earlier*
“Hey Hotch, here’s that report you asked for. You aren’t staying are you?” You asked, glancing at your watch.
“Thanks, and yeah I had a few things I needed to finish up.”
You made your way over to Aaron’s couch, dropped your bag to the floor, and shrugged your jacket off. You pulled your phone out to see what was still open for delivery in the area. Aaron and you had shared many nights like this, spending late nights together in his office. The two of you had grown very close over the years, so much so that David had outright asked Aaron if you two were dating. To which Aaron let out an awkward chuckle and denied the accusation. If only he knew.
“What are you doing? You should head home.” Aaron said.
“Well, you should too, and you aren’t, so I guess that means we’re ordering dinner.” You smiled at him.
“I love you.” Aaron said simply.
“What?” You were stunned.
“I’m sorry, that was inappropriate. I didn’t – I um….”
“Say it again.”
“I love you.”
“I love you too.”
Aaron made his way over to you, gently caressed your face and kissed you. It was everything you had ever imagined. There had been this tension between the two of you over the last two years and it was all finally coming together.
After that night, Aaron and you had agreed to keep your relationship under wraps, to avoid any potential disruption to the team, but also any question as to your position on the team. Aaron didn’t want anyone to question the fact that it was your skills and resume alone that got you to where you are.
Yours and Aaron’s relationship blossomed after that night, but not without hardships. Aaron and you faced a lot of adversity in multiple aspects of your relationship; you had a hard time trusting people, Aaron had been self-conscious of your age gap, and you both couldn’t help but feel that you weren’t good enough for the other (not that either of you would bring it up).
*Present Day*
A tear fell from Aaron’s eye, he couldn’t fathom losing you. This was all part of the reason he didn’t want to get serious with someone after Haley, but then you came into his life. You’d come in and made yourself known with your kind eyes and witty charm; how could he not fall in love with you.
Aaron fell for you slowly then all at once, it came naturally, and he couldn’t help it. He knew that the team had their suspicions and honestly over the last year there had been some close calls, but you had ultimately maintained the secrecy of your relationship.
In this moment, Aaron couldn’t help but feel a pang of guilt and regret over the fact that he’d asked you to keep things quiet. Had he let the team in on your relationship, he could’ve done a better job at keeping you safe.
*2 Weeks Later*
Aaron had been by your side as much as possible over the last two weeks, which is exactly where he was when you started to stir. Aaron shot straight up in his seat, his hand quickly reaching for your own.
You couldn’t help the groan that escaped your throat, your body hurt so bad, and you felt very confused. You attempted to open your eyes but immediately regretted it – the bright fluorescents adding to the pounding in your head. As you blinked through the brightness of the room, you glanced over to your bedside, noticing a tall man seated there.
“What on earth were you thinking? Driving into the unsub like that, you could’ve been killed. Your actions were reckless and unacceptable.” The man scolded you.
You couldn’t find it in you to reply, your head was pounding. You brought your hand up to your forehead and gently press the heel of your palm into it, hoping to alleviate some of the pressure.
“Sweetheart hold on, I’ll go get your doctor.” A deep voice sounded from your bedside.
Before you could question the pet name, you heard the sound of his dress shoes clicking against the linoleum floors.
The man returned with your doctor; he dimmed the lights slightly on his way back to your bedside. He moved to grab your hand again, to which you shifted, wringing your hands nervously in your lap.
“Hello, I’m doctor Raynor. How are you feeling?”
“Like I was hit by a truck, what happened?” You questioned, giving your doctor and the man a once over.
You recognized the man; it was Special Agent Hotchner of the BAU. What was he doing here? What happened?
“Well, you were involved in an accident, can you tell me what you remember?” Dr. Raynor inquired.
“I um, well, I was leaving a lecture.” Your gaze shifted to Agent Hotchner “Your lecture actually, you were talking about MO’s. I guess the accident was after that?” You couldn’t help but notice Agent Hotchner’s expression faulter.
Your doctor looked over at Agent Hotchner and he shook his head. The two of them seemingly knew something you didn’t. You couldn’t help but feel like you’d just given the wrong answer in front of the class. Dr. Raynor had gone through the rest of your injuries with you, multiple lacerations that had required stitches, a few broken ribs, a broken wrist, and of course your TBI. Once she was done she gave you a somber look.
“Would you excuse us for just a moment? I am going to send in one of your nurses to check you over and I’ll be back in just a moment.” Dr. Raynor said.
“Oh, okay.”
Dr. Raynor and Agent Hotchner left your room, and you tried your best to listen to their conversation.
*Hotch’s POV*
She doesn’t remember me, well us. It’s like the last five years have just disappeared.
“Agent Hotchner, I gather that the lecture she’s referring to did not occur two weeks ago when she was brought in.”
“No, that lecture was nearly five years ago.” I explained.
“This would be a case of retrograde amnesia, if she’s lost recent memories.” Dr. Raynor replied.
“Will her memory return?”
“It’s hard to say.”
While Aaron was completely devastated, he couldn’t help the doubt that creeped into his mind, telling him “This is for the best”.
*Normal POV*
Dr. Raynor and Agent Hotchner looked extremely serious, and you started to feel nauseous. Something was obviously wrong. You watched as their conversation ceased and they made their way back into the room.
Something must have happened, why would Agent Hotchner be here.
“Alright, it would appear that due to the brain trauma you sustained in your accident, you are experiencing what we describe as retrograde amnesia. This is when you can’t recall memories from your past. Based on your most recent memory, it appears as if you’ve lost approximately five years.” Dr. Raynor explained.
“Five years? Five years of memories are just gone. I don’t understand. If that’s true then why are you here?” You asked gesturing to Agent Hotchner.
“Well, you work for the BAU. You have for about three years now.”
“I do? I – I, this is a lot. What does this mean? Have you called my emergency contact?” You asked.
“I uh – I am your emergency contact.” Agent Hotchner spoke up.
“What, why? It has always been my mom, I don’t understand.”
“I’m so sorry, your mom, she uh – she passed last year. That’s when you switched it over to me.” Agent Hotchner’s gaze shifted down to his shoes.
“She’s gone?” Your voice cracked.
“Okay, this has been quite a bit of information. The most important thing right now is getting healthy. We want to keep you here a little longer to continue monitoring the swelling in your brain. Once we’ve confirmed it has gone down, you’ll want to get back in your usual routine, that is the best shot at getting your memory back.” Dr. Raynor gently patted your leg.
“How am I meant to get back to my normal routine when I don’t know it? The one person I had, I just found out is dead.”
“Given that Agent Hotchner is your emergency contact, we would be able to release you into his care. For now, we just need to stay positive.” With that, Dr. Raynor made her exit.
“I know this is a lot, but the BAU, we’re like a family, that includes you. Each member of the team is going to be willing to do anything to help you throughout this process.” Agent Hotchner said.
Part of you knew you could trust him; he had kind eyes, and you knew he was genuine. However, the other part of you felt so hopeless, like a lost kid in a department store. How were you meant to go home with this man who you didn’t know.
*Five Days Later*
“Do you have everything?” Aaron asked.
He had been with you every day for the last five days. He had brought you some things from your apartment and asked you to call him Aaron for now while you were “getting to know him”. You had to admit, it had been pretty nice talking with him the last few days.
“I think so!” You looked over at him. “I know that I am meant to be staying with you, at least until I’m fully healed, but could we go to my apartment first? I’d like to see it and maybe go through some of my things?”
“Of course we can.” Aaron nodded, gesturing towards the door.
The drive to your place was filled with small talk, mostly you asking Aaron questions about the BAU and the time you’ve spent there. It felt weird asking the man who is technically your boss about your personal life.
When you arrived, Aaron made sure to open your door for you and carry your bag into your home. He led you inside and you couldn’t help but notice how comfortable he seemed in your place, like he’d been there before. Like he belonged there. You shook the thought from your mind.
“I got you a new phone, it’s all set up for you.” Aaron said handing you the device.
“Thanks! Were they able to back up the old one? I was hoping to go through old texts and pictures to gather some insight into my life. God that sounds weird.” You huffed out a breath.
“I have our technical analyst Penelope Garcia working on that for you.” Aaron informed you.
“That’s great, thank you.”
The truth was, Aaron didn’t have Garcia backing up your old phone, at least not yet. He knew that if he had brought it to her she would uncover all the private texts and photos that you two had shared over the last year. He didn’t want to risk everyone finding out about your relationship, especially now when he wasn’t sure what your future would hold.
Aaron watched you as you made your way around your apartment. You wandered slowly around letting your fingers graze the spines of books on your shelves, picture frames on the walls and tchotchkes that were strewn about your desk and shelves.
He so badly wanted to pull you into his arms, kiss your head and tell you that everything was going to be okay. He wanted you to know that he wasn’t just your boss. But he also thought about all the things that could go wrong if he told you. You could question your own ethics and fall into self-loathing with the thought that you’d potentially slept your way to the top – this was the furthest thing from the truth, but he knew you and the way your mind spiraled. He wondered if it would just be easier if he let you find yourself all on your own, to let this thing between you go and hope that maybe you’d find your way back to him again.
When he looked over to you once again, he saw that you had found a photo album. It was one he was very familiar with; Garcia had gotten it for you on your 1-year BAU anniversary and filled it halfway. Since then, you’d continue to add to it all the photos you’d taken with the team.
You hadn’t realized you were crying until a tear had fallen onto the picture you were currently examining. Your emotions were running high, looking through the album was so strange it felt like looking at a stranger and yet it was you in photo after photo looking happier than ever with these people you couldn’t remember.
You felt the couch dip beside you and Aaron gently rubbed his hand up and down your back.
“I can’t imagine how overwhelming this all must be. I know that I can’t understand but I am here for you and I’m happy to lend an ear if you want to talk about it.” Aaron quietly soothed you.
“Thank you so much Aaron. I just don’t know how to wrap my head around this being me but not remembering it. Clearly you all mean so much to me and yet I have no recollection of any of this.” You sobbed.
Aaron and you sat like that on your couch for a while. He gave you the time you needed to calm down, while holding you, whispering sweet nothings to you. You felt oddly comfortable there in his arms, your mind shifted to the thought that enjoying the way his arms felt around you was also incredibly inappropriate given that he was your boss. At that thought you shifted slightly. You thought back to why you had signed up to audit Aaron’s lecture and while the main reason was the knowledge he’d lend you, a part of you allowed his looks to give you that final push in signing up.
“I should probably grab a few things so we can head out.” You whispered.
“Do you need any help?” Aaron asked.
“I should be okay, but I’ll let you know!”
Aaron drove the two of you back to his apartment, for the time being he had asked Jessica to keep Jack, this way you could adjust, and Jack also wouldn’t out your relationship. Aaron had his guest bedroom set up for you, he’d set it up with some of your favorite things. A lavender scented candle, extra pillows, a fluffy blanket, and he made sure to set a small trinket dish on the dresser, so you’d have a place to put your jewelry.
These of course were all things Aaron had previously had at his place for you. When you two had gotten increasingly more serious, he encouraged you to leave some stuff at his place and he’d gone as far as to supply some of your favorites around his home for you.
Aaron led you into his home and you couldn’t help but glance around, really taking in your surroundings. You couldn’t help but take note of a few things as he showed you around; there was a photo missing from the side table next to the couch (you could see the tiny bit of dust that must’ve collected around it), the pantry was stocked with quite a few of your favorite snacks, there was a pink coffee mug in the cabinet, and lastly, tucked under the shoe rack near the front door were a pair of fluffy gray slippers.
You couldn’t explain why, but there was a slight pang of jealousy in you as you thought of Aaron having a girlfriend. You knew you had no right to feel that way and it would be incredibly inappropriate, but it was a gut reaction.
*One Week Later*
Aaron and you had fallen into a weird sort of routine, it started to feel a lot like the 50’s, you making dinner and cleaning while he worked. You were starting to get a bit stir crazy, which is exactly why you were so excited today. Garcia would be coming by to see you; she was bringing over a bunch of photos and videos of you with the team throughout the last three years.
It was a paperwork catch-up day for the BAU, so Aaron had given Penelope the go ahead to take a long lunch and spend some time with you. So, when a knock on the door rang through the apartment, you couldn’t help the burst of excitement that coursed its way through your veins.
“Hi Penelope!”
“Hey babe! How are you feeling?” She asked, giving you a look of concern.
“I’m feeling pretty good, you know, except for the missing five years of memories thing.”  You let out a low chuckle.
“Oh goodness! Well, I’ve brought a ton of stuff that might help bring some stuff back. I read that sense of smell is the sense that links with memories the strongest so have a bunch of things for you to smell while you look at photos in hopes something will come back to you.”
“That sounds like a great idea!” You smiled at Penelope.
The next hour or so went by with Penelope showing you photos and videos along with passing you various items to smell in hopes of bringing back some of your memories. And while it wasn’t like a wave crashing over you, bringing all your memories back, it did bring some things back. You could remember the members of the BAU and some of their quirks, you remembered the feeling of being in the bullpen (thanks to the smell of some very burnt coffee). What you were struggling to regain was your emotional memories, you couldn’t quite pinpoint the relationships you had with anyone from the team.
“I am glad that this helped! I should probably get out of your hair though; I can tell you have headache.” Penelope
“Thank you Penelope, I really appreciate all of this!”
You led her to the door, and she reminded you to get some rest and to take it easy. She also suggested that you come by the BAU for lunch in the next week or so to see everyone. The team had been doing a good job of not overwhelming you and allowing you time to get back in the swing of things.
“Oh, Penelope before you go, did you get a chance to back up my old phone? Aaron said you were working on it.”
“Oh, hon. He must’ve forgotten to mention it, but I will get started on that right away! I’ll text you as soon as I’m done, okay? We will just be able to pull the backup and put it on your new phone!” She said pulling you into a tight hug, before making her exit.
Why would Aaron have lied to you about your old phone? Maybe Penelope was right, and it just slipped his mind, he had been dealing with a lot, taking care of you, and having you stay with him.
You hadn’t meant to snoop, honestly, but after having talked with Penelope, the feeling Aaron was hiding something from you was extremely prevalent. You decided to look around a bit, you know, while putting the laundry away. You needed to put the towels away in Aaron’s bathroom, you just happened to notice the second toothbrush in the holder, the dress hanging inside his closet (come on, the door was already open), the ring box tucked in his sock drawer, what shocked you the most were the photos in the hall closet. It was a photo of him and a tall brunette that had you spiraling, where was this woman? You had clearly been invading his space long enough and you couldn’t bear the thought of coming between him and this woman who was to be his fiancé.
You needed to get back to your life, and out of Aaron’s hair. You decided that you’d tell him that night over dinner, you were going to move back home.
“Hey, I’m home!” Aaron called.
“Hey, how was your day?” You asked.
Aaron explained that his day was good, and he asked you about your get together with Penelope as you finished up dinner. Aaron set the table as you followed behind him plating up the food.
“I’m glad to hear things went well with Penelope. I think lunch with the team is a great idea.”
“Aaron I’m gonna move back home.” The words flew out of your mouth faster than your brain could catch up. “I’m sorry, I just don’t want to impose on your life any more than I already have.”
“It’s truly not an imposition, but if that’s what you want.” Aaron looked deflated.
“I just think it’s important we both get back to our usual every day.”
“If you think that’s best.”
You two ate in silence. Afterwards you both went to the kitchen, cleaned up the dishes and made your way to your separate rooms. You began packing up your belongings and Aaron scrolled through photos of the two of you from before the accident.
*Two Days Later*
“Good morning gorgeous!!! I am calling to inform you that the backup from your old phone is ready, and I also think it is the perfect day for you to come in and have lunch with everyone!” Penelope sang over the phone.
“Okay, what time should I come down there?”
“Ummm maybe around 12:30? Everyone is usually ready to eat by then. I can call and order in something too!”
“Oh, and uh Pen, I don’t know the address, and I’m not cleared to drive.” You said shyly.
“Oh shoot, okay! I’ll see who is available to come and pick you up, no worries.” Penelope reassured you.
You took some time getting ready, most of the team hadn’t seen you since before the injuries, and while the cuts and bruises have faded and scarred, you still had a very broken wrist and frequent headaches, along with PTSD and anxiety attacks thanks to the TBI. You felt like you had been doing well, and based on your recent check-up with your neurologist, things are trending up in regard to your health. Though you began to worry that the worst had yet to come.
A knock on your door shook you out of your thoughts, as you made your way to answer it, you wondered who Penelope sent to get you. Pulling the door open revealed someone you were hoping you wouldn’t see so soon.
“Hi Aaron.”
“Hello, were going to go pick up the food on the way back to the BAU, if that’s okay.” Aaron explained.
“Yeah, that’s fine.” You nodded.
The drive was filled with tense silence. You couldn’t help but wonder why Aaron would harbor any negative feelings towards you. You’d only moved out of his apartment so he could get back on to his life, if anything he should be grateful that you’ve gone home. One of the main reasons you’d really decided to go home was because of the fact that you were growing far too comfortable.
Things at Aaron’s house were starting to feel right, like it was where you belong. You had no idea how you had been able to work with him over the last few years, the crush you had on him all those years ago had only proven to grow stronger.
“I’ll run in and grab the food.” Aaron said, pulling you out of your thoughts.
Before you could reply, he stepped out of the car and made his way into the restaurant.
Aaron got you signed in with a visitor’s badge (as you weren’t cleared to work) and then he led you up to the sixth floor, BAU bullpen. Upon walking in, you felt an odd sense of familiarity. You knew that it would make sense for the BAU to bring memories back and that you would have muscle memory to help lead you through the building, but it felt very strange.
You looked over at Aaron, “I need to go see Garcia, do you mind pointing me in the right direction?”
“Of course, her office is that way. Second door on the right.”
“Thanks.” You smiled.
You wandered through the corridor, catching a glimpse of Garcia through her open door. You lightly knocked on her door and walked into her office.
“Oh! Hello gorgeous!” Garcia squealed, standing, and pulling you into a hug.
“Hey Pen!”
“Let’s get your phone squared away and then we will go eat.”
You handed your phone over to Penelope and she began downloading the last backup from your old phone.
“This should only take a few minutes.”
Penelope and you made idle chit chat for a few moments while waiting on your phone. When it finished uploading, she unplugged it and handed it to you. The two of you then made your way to the bullpen.
Lunch with the BAU was overwhelming to say the least. It was fun talking to everyone, but you could tell everyone was walking on eggshells and you could see the pity flash behind their eyes as you sat and explained your lack of memories with the people sitting before you.
After lunch, Aaron let everyone leave early. It had been a paperwork day and the team had been very productive. He told them all to go home, but of course to leave their phones on, just in case they had to leave. Emily offered to drive you home, given the close proximity of your apartments.
When you got home, you changed into some comfortable clothes and sat on the couch. You took a deep breath and unlocked your phone. There were two things you noticed while going through everything, the first being a significant number of photos saved and the second being the texts exchanged between you and your boss.
You decided to go through the photos first. There were plenty of you with the various members of the BAU, but what caught your attention was one image in particular, in it, you were laid in bed with your head resting on a man’s chest…the man being none other than Aaron.
You quickly switched over to your messages app. Clicking Aaron’s name, you saw the most recent text…
“Be careful sweetheart. I love you.”
Your mind was racing, what were you meant to think, why would he keep this from you? Was the ring meant for you? You needed to see him.
You ordered an Uber and made your way to the FBI building. You signed in, getting a visitors’ badge and headed up to the sixth floor.
“Aaron” You called out into the bullpen.
“Is everything okay? What are you doing here?” Aaron asked as he walked out of his office.
“Why didn’t you tell me?”
“Tell you what?” Aaron questioned.
“That we were together.”
You gestured to your phone. Aaron dropped his gaze for a moment, before looking back to you. You could see the pain behind his eyes.
“Sweetheart, we had been keeping it a secret, and I don’t know, I guess I thought that maybe you’d be better off. I figured you might find someone more appropriate for you.”
“That wasn’t a choice for you to make. Aaron things have been confusing enough, losing my memory. But to have you lying to me, it’s total bullshit. How am I supposed to get my memories back if you are keeping such a big part of me a secret.” You couldn’t help the frustrated tears from slipping down your cheek.
Aaron reached for you and let his thumb brush the tear off your cheek. He stepped closer to you and brought his other hand to your cheek.
“I am so sorry. I should’ve told you from the get-go, I was scared. I thought that maybe I would tell you and you’d have to get to know me again and maybe you wouldn’t love me the way you did before. I also couldn’t help but think that I don’t deserve you and this was your perfect out. But that was selfish, I should’ve told you the truth.”
You leaned your head onto Aaron’s chest, and he wrapped his arms around you. He pressed a gentle kiss to your hairline and then he pulled back.
“Can I show you something?” Aaron asked.
You nodded and followed him to his office. Aaron led you around his desk and gestured for you to sit in his chair. He pointed to his computer screen, and you took note of the screen saver. It was a slideshow of pictures taken throughout your relationship, there were pictures of you at the FBI Gala, Jack’s soccer game, art museums, at Aaron’s home, at your apartment, etc..
It happened slowly, then all at once. A warm feeling flooded your veins, and a dull ache filled your head. Tears were steadily streaming down your face. You looked up at Aaron, and he met your gaze. A moment was shared before understanding washed over Aaron.
“I remember.”

Being a baker and joining the straw hats… HCS
Masterlist
A/N: reedited work, because i realize i accidently left out Chopper. Thanks to @valen-yamyam16 for pointing out.
Tumblr media
You were an ex-pírate of big mom’s crew, when you realized you wanted to bake more that kill, you left them and went to improcedente your cooking.
That’s when you met Luffy, he liked your desserts, made some trouble on the town and obliged you to join his crew.
You didn’t have a choice so you boarded with them.
Everyone seemed to be okay with it , apparently it was very normal that Luffy does that. Even though you notice that people were a little reluctant about it, mostly because of your past crew.
Luffy didn’t care, he only cared about you cooking to him and having always some dessert on the table. He was very noisy but you liked how he always wanted to try your food,
Otherwise, the cook of the ship didn’t quite like you, running around with your sugar and chocolate, etc. His cooking ideology was different from yours but the goal was the same, making people happy.
That’s how you tríed to work together and after a couple of weeks and some battles thanks to your captain, the kitchen became your domain. Spending time with him planning the meals and helping each other, made you two reallly happy.
The swordsman tried to sound stoic and lonely, saying he doesn’t like sweets but after hearing his captain talking about your desserts it was a matter of time he started sneaking to the kitchen to steal some.
It was very funny to see a big muscled man trying to sneak into the kitchen quietly. Making him confess was difficult even when was obvious that was him, but after he did that and apologized it was easier to serve him.
The shooter tried to impress you saying that hd has some baker skills himself, when you suggested doing a cooking battle he confessed it was a lie to try to be liked be liked by you. You didn’t mind it, you wanted to fit in too.
From there you spent many time together in the kitchen. Sanji tried to kick Ussop out the kitchen most of the times but you apprecieted really his company, jokes and inventions, he even made you new baking utensils.
The rest of the Straw Hats were easy to convince that you were good.
Franky loved your cooking, especially your creations with soda drinks and Brook made many jokes about them.
Nami at first thought they were from Sanji so she eated a lot, then realized they were yours and thought they were poisoned... just for a couple of minutes, then she apologized.
With Jimbei it was difficult to know his favourite dessert but he happily teach you about fhishman's gastronomy.
Robin was just perfect to be with, complimenting your skills and always gettign a new round of biscuits, at some point you replaced Sanji on bringing her tea.
Chopper being the sugar candy lover, he is the first one to get at your feet and beg you for food. Sweets, desserts, cakes, everything that has sugar he is up to it. He is now officially your adopted son of the ship, always ready to try your new recipes.

wrap me up in all your—
Tumblr media
still not over that obscure friends to lovers prompt list so I did number 30 w Eddie!!!!
pairing: eddie munson x reader
summary: everyone forgets Eddie’s birthday except the reader (aka a cupcake, a joint, a gift, and a confession or two)
word count: 1.5k
warnings: cursing and weed/smoking mention
-
The trailer park is quiet. The autumn chill has settled over town like a blanket, unearthing winter jackets and beanies from closets and marking every breath with a plume of white air.
Eddie sits beside you on his front porch, and though the light swinging overhead flickers every few seconds, and the wooden stairs are halfway to rotted, it’s his favorite place in the world.
Anywhere that has you in it is his favorite place in the world.
He’d like to blame that sappy sentiment on the joint you surprised him with an hour ago and have been passing back and forth, but if he’s honest, Eddie feels that way sober.
You make him feel and think all that sappy shit he was sure only existed in movies.
You showed up, with a dorky birthday hat and a joint sticking out of a cupcake, and Eddie instantly felt high.  And so, even though his day started at crappy and only got worse from there, it’s looking to have a decent ending.
As far as birthdays go, this certainly isn’t the worst. It’s almost better that everyone forgot. No last-minute, hasty gifts or the off-key singing of some waitress and his uncle.
It doesn’t even matter that everyone else forgot. Because you didn’t.
“I got you a present,” you say eventually, jabbing out the last burning embers of the roach and tossing the filter into the tiny pile at the bottom of the steps. Other filters from other nights smoking on this porch, the best of them with you.
“I thought we just smoked the present,” Eddie says.
You snort a laugh and bump Eddie’s shoulder with your own.
“No, that was the candle,” you say. “It would have been better if you rolled it. You’ve got magic hands.” You lift your arms and do jazz hands, making Eddie laugh, and then cough, which makes you laugh, too. Then you’re just two high idiots giggling on a crumbling porch, but Eddie is happier than he has been in a long time.
“Not everyone has the magic touch,” Eddie says. He raises his own hands, and doesn’t miss the way your gaze falls and lingers on each finger, each ring and crooked knuckle and calloused fingertip. Eddie drops his hands. “So. What’s this present you speak of? It better be damn good, after all you’ve hyped it up.”
“I did no hyping,” you accuse. You tear your gaze from Eddie’s and drop it to your lap, where you’re worrying the hem of your hoodie between your fingers. “And it probably isn’t that good—”
Eddie blames the weed on his sudden confidence. He takes your chin in one hand, forcing you to look at him, and he doesn’t realize how close you are on the porch until he almost smashes your nose with his own.
“Whatever it is, sweetheart,” he says, gentler than he intends, “I’m sure I’ll love it.” Your eyes dip, dip to his mouth, and now Eddie is looking at your lips, and he can’t stop.
He clears his throat and sits back. “You’ve never gone wrong before. Christmas ‘82?” He shrugs his shoulders and flashes you a lopsided grin. “Alright, yeah, you kind of screwed future you, there. How the hell do you follow thatup?”
You roll your eyes, but Eddie can tell you’re pleased. He’s known you so long that nonactions are actions, too.
“You and that damn guitar,” you say.
“What can I say? You did good, kid,” Eddie says. He bumps your shoulder again. “C’mon. Quit stalling. Let’s see it.”
You scrunch your nose. “Technically, there’s not really anything to see. I mean, I have a piece of paper, like a written agreement, but—”
“Earth to y/n,” Eddie says in a singsongy voice, though honestly, he’d be content to watch you talk about nothing for hours.
You nod a few times. Clear your throat. Don’t look at him as you say, “I kind of… booked you a gig.”
And Eddie’s dry mouth becomes the Sahara desert.
“You—what?”
“And I don’t know if I’d really call it a gig. More of an… audition? That fancy new club, The Tunnel, is looking for a local band to play Friday nights, and they want something different, so I played them one of your tapes. The manager liked it. He said if you do well at the show in a few weeks, you could be in there every friday night—”
“Are you serious?” Eddie asks.
You stop. Meet his eyes. “Of course I’m serious.”
“Holy shit.” Eddie pushes off the porch steps, onto the dirt below, and shakes his head. “Holy shit.” He wraps his arms around his torso and turns to you, shaking his head again. “Are you serious?”
You laugh, and say, “For the second time, yeah, I’m serious.” You swipe at your nose and sniffle. “Not that your usual joint isn’t great, but I figured, maybe you and the guys wanted to change it up a bit¸—”
And Eddie can’t hold back anymore. He rushes you, throwing his arms around your waist, knees digging into the step below you, burying his face in your neck.
You laugh again, and hug him back, and when you dip your face against his, your cool lips graze his temples. His stomach lurches, and his pulse sings, and yeah, he’s definitely high, but it’s most certainly not all from the weed.
All his reservations fall away. Fall apart. Never fucking existed at all, and he’s just been kiding himself.
Eddie pulls back to look at you.
“That’s the nicest thing anyone’s ever done for me,” he says. “I love you.”
You let out a little laugh. “I love you, too, dude.”
He shakes his head. Peels himself away from you and drops onto the step beside you. “No. I mean, I love you. I’m in love with you. And I have been since we were sixteen. I was doing a pretty good job of not doing anything about it, trying to maintain the friendship and all that, but then you show up here, and you tell me you booked my band a gig—”
“Technically not a gig!”
“—a gig,” Eddie says. “And suddenly, I don’t give a shit about maintaining anything. So, thanks for that. And I love you. I really fucking love you. Sorry if that screws things up.”
For a long second, you just look at him, and Eddie thinks he could die right there on that porch—which is ironic, considering he kind of almost did, if the grass near this porch in a parallel universe counts.
“Do you have any idea,” you ask, “how long I’ve been waiting for you to admit that?”
Eddie jerks back. “What are you—you knew?”
You tuck a loose strand of hair behind your ear and look away, a sheepish smile on your face.
“I mean, of course I knew,” you say. “I’ve known you since we were ten. I know you. But time went on, and you still never said anything, and I wasn’t sure if I was wrong, or if you just had no goddamn clue how you felt, and then—“
“And how do you feel?” Eddie asks.
Your smile shifts. It shines like a thousand stars, brighter than anything in the night sky.
“I really fucking love you too,” you say. And then you kiss him, and you taste like frosting and weed and a thousand future kisses.
Eddie ends it sooner than he’d like—if he doesn’t, he’ll do something non-gentlemanly things on his porch, and he’s really trying to be a gentleman—and you drop your head onto his shoulder. You lace your fingers through his, fiddling with his rings with your free hand.
Sometime later, you lift your head, and say, “You never told me your wish.”
The cupcake with the joint. You instructed him to make a birthday wish on the first hit.
Eddie averts his gaze, swiping the hair from his eyes.
“My wish?” He shrugs. Meets your eyes. “You know the rules. Secret.” He draws his fingers across his lips and mimics throwing away a key.
You roll your eyes. “Humor me.”
Eddie inclines his head and considers a moment.
“You really want to know?”
“I want to know everything in that head,” you say, lifting two fingers to his temples.
Eddie knows he’s smiling like a dork, but he doesn’t care.
“It was you,” he says. “It’s always you.”
You press your lips together, but a smile tugs them up. You wind your arms around his neck and dip your forehead against him.
“Well,” you say softly. “You’ve got me. Time to find a new wish.”
“I’ll figure it out later,” he says. “Now, I just really want to kiss you again. You cool with that?”
You laugh, and say, “Yeah, I’m cool with that.”
Then you kiss him again.
And Eddie thinks this might be the best birthday he’s ever had.

end of beginning, part one.
carmen berzatto x childhood bestfriend!reader word count : 2.3k warning(s) : none!
Tumblr media
and when i'm back in chicago, i feel it. another version of me, i was in it.
Tumblr media
"i don't understand why you're so mad at me! you said you were fine with me working at the beef!"
this was the first and only fight they would have about this. after begging and begging his older brother to hire him at his restaurant, carmen berzatto was still not even allowed on the premises. carmy really just wanted to take orders. or sweep. or wash dishes. or just anything. but no. micheal berzatto wouldn't even let his little brother in the front door. carmy had complained to his best friend tirelessly about how much he wanted to work at the beef and how hard he had worked to prove himself to his older brother and she listened intensely. she too had applied at the beef but since mikey wouldn't even hire his own flesh and blood, she knew she had no shot at getting the job herself. being the younger sister of micheal's best friend came with its perks, of course. she was always invited to christmas dinner and had been given the recipe on how to make the best italian beef sandwiches. but it also came with its downfalls. being the same age as his younger brother, mikey held her to almost the same standard that he held carmy. she was only allowed at the beef on special occasions and she thought she had no chance at being bestowed the honor of washing dishes in the dirty kitchen of the beef.
two months ago, y/n had tagged along with her brother, richie, on a run to the restaurant. richie had to drop off paperwork for something she really wasn't interested in and after relentless begging, he had let her come with. it was only supposed to be a short trip. they were going to run into the shop, drop off some papers, and maybe get a sandwich to-go. but what was supposed to be a quick visit turned into a multiple hour affair. richie and mikey had gotten to talking and there was no stopping it when mikey started on one of his tangents. somewhere in their hours long conversation, y/n's older brother had decided to throw his sister a bone and mention to his friend that she was "on his ass" about wanting to work at the beef. mikey had immediately shut him down but after glancing at the girl sitting nearby, a pout on her lip and her hands folded together in a silent plea, he reluctantly agreed to give her a job. it was only after school and on the weekends and the pay was terrible and she was only allowed to clean tables and mop the floors, but it got her in the door. she was ecstatic.
as soon as she got home, she immediately called her best friend. the excitement was evident in her voice, which in turn made carmy's heart race as he waited anxiously for what she going to tell him. his smile dropped and his stomach churned when the words "i got a job at the beef" left her mouth. he could hear the grin in her tone and she could hear the long pause carmy took after she told him the news. she apologized profusely, of course. she knew how much that job had meant to him and she felt guilty that she had gotten it instead. she assured him over and over that if he didn't want her to take the job, she wouldn't. their friendship was much more important to her than $7.25 an hour and sweeping up pieces of beef that had fallen to the floor. she could hear him gulp and sigh and she fully expected him to tell her no. but instead she heard him stutter, shuffle around, and say, "no, it's fine. i'm happy for you."
that was two months ago. y/n hadn't done much else in her time working at the beef than mop and take an order when mikey let her. it wasn't fun and the pay was awful, but y/n couldn't remember the last time she would wake up that excited. the day that her and carmy had their fight, she had gotten up early on a saturday, put on her non-slip shoes and a "the original beef of chicagoland" t-shirt, and sat in the car while she waited for richie. they had gotten there earlier than normal and the chefs were in the beginning stages of prepping for the day. y/n had put her stuff in the office, there was no locker for her, and prepared to sit around all morning until the restaurant finally opened. she had only been sitting for about 15 minutes when mikey popped his head in the door.
"yo, honey," he had started, the nickname he gave her 16 years ago making its usual appearance, "do you wanna help us prep today?"
she was shocked. her mouth was agape and she just stared at him. did she want to prep? to her that was the equivalent of asking her if she wanted a million dollars. "uh…" she looked around the room. she was kind of unsure if she was being pranked or not.
mikey laughed. "you're just chopping fucking onions and tomatoes, dude. it's not hard."
y/n, albeit nervously, laughed back. "uh, yeah! y-yes. i would love to help prep."
"then c'mon."
she was on cloud nine. for two hours mikey let her cut tomatoes and peppers and onions and stir a pot or two. she was smiling the entire time. richie and mikey had laughed at how excited she was but she didn't care. this was the most exciting thing that had happened to her thus far. after her shift was completely over, the floors mopped and the open sign turned to close, she ran all the way from her house to carmy's. she opened the door without knocking and took the stairs two at a time to get to his room.
"bear! guess what?!" she was out of breath, bent over with her hands on her knees. carmy was sitting in his desk chair facing her with his eyes wide and eyebrows furrowed. she had just burst into his room yelling after all.
"what?" he had chuckled at her.
"mikey… fuck, give me a second." she was still catching her breath.
"did you run all the way here?" carmy asked. it wasn't the first time she felt she had news so important that she ran the mile from her house to his.
"yes! anyway," she was bouncing on the balls of her feet, a telltale sign she was about to burst with excitement, "mikey let me help prep today! isn't that so exciting! it was only cutting onions and tomatoes and what not but he-"
carmy had tuned her out. he was fine with her working at the beef, really. he was happy for her. but only if she was washing dishes. it was a low level job. it didn't require any of the chef skills they were both so proud of. he was fine with that. he didn't need to prove to mikey that he was capable of wiping tables but his knife skills were something he was really proud of. he would never say this to y/n, but his knife skills were better than hers. and mikey let her chop vegetables.
"are you serious?"
she was mid sentance and her smile shook a little bit when he interrupted her. "uh, yeah! isn't that so cool?"
he rolled his eyes. he didn't mean to, not really. the jealousy was basically oozing from his pores. "yeah. yeah that's super fucking cool, y/n."
she just stood there, eyebrows furrowed. "are you mad at me?"
carmy swiveled around in his chair to rest his elbows on his small desk, his hands coming up to cover his face. a knot began to form in his throat and his breaths started coming out a bit shaky. he wasn't angry at her persay, he was more angry at mikey than anything. ever since y/n got her job at the beef, carmy had started working so much harder in front of mikey in hopes that he'd hire him too. he'd get to work with his best, and only, friend and maybe, if he practiced hard enough, mikey would let him prep sometimes. but none of it had mattered. mikey was going to let y/n work at the restaurant and let y/n prep and leave nothing for his own brother.
"i mean i'm not exactly happy," carmy mumbled through his hands.
y/n stood behind him, playing with her fingers. she was kind of unsure of what to say. she would offer to quit to save their friendship, but she didn't really want to. she really liked working the beef and after today, there was a hope deep inside her that mikey would let her take on bigger duties.
"i could talk to mikey again, if you want. you know, to see if he'll reconsider hiring you."
carmy groaned. i wasn't really about having the job anymore. it was more about mikey trusting her more than he trusted him. he spun around quickly, his arms falling back to his sides. "i don't even know why you took that job in the first place."
she was taken aback and she scoffed, almost as a reflex. "what? you said you were fine with it!" "well obviously i'm not!" he yelled at her. he yelled. carmy had always been soft spoken and shy. it was only recently that he started talking back to his mom and, apparently, yelling at his best friend.
y/n just stared at him. "well, i don't know what you want me to do about it now."
"quit."
her eyes widened and her stomach dropped. she could feel that he was going to say that, but hearing it out loud was much different. "what?"
he stepped closer to her and she could see the anger in his face. his eyes were filled with tears, though. the anger on his face a direct contrast to the sadness that filled his eyes. "i want you to quit."
y/n lowered her head under his gaze. she was never one to shy away from carmy but you could cut the tension in the room with a knife. and she almost gave in. she almost told him yes and that she would quit in order to make his pain go away. but she couldn't. she loved that job. she loved the way the kitchen smelled while everyone was prepping and she loved the soft sound of mikey's radio ringing out from back of house. she couldn't give that up. even if it meant breaking the heart of her best friend.
"i can't," she whispered.
carmy's stomach churned and for a second he thought he was going to throw up. he knew she was going to say no. and he felt awful for the thoughts clouding his mind. the ultimatum left his mouth before he had thought enough about it to stop it.
"i-if you keep working at the beef, i don't.. i don't think we can be friends."
if she wasn't on the verge of tears before, she is now. she tried to blink away the tears clouding her vision but they just rolled down her cheeks. what was she supposed to say? carmy was her best, and only, close friend. she had other friends, sure. but none of them understood or knew her the way that carmy did. they had been best friends since birth, thanks to their older brothers. but she couldn't quit her job at the beef, she knew that. and as much as he didn't want to admit it, carmy knew it too.
"that's… really selfish, carmen."
he knew that. he knew that before the words had even formed in his brain. but hearing her call him selfish coupled with the fact that she called him carmen, something she never did, ignited something in him. a rage that he had never felt before and he didn't even know if it was directed at her.
"i think choosing a fucking job over your friendship with me is even more selfish!"
she scoffed, the tears drying almost immediately. "i don't understand why you're so mad at me! you said you were fine with me working at the beef!"
"that's just not something you do, y/n! i've wanted that job years longer than you! you just wanted to work there because don't have any hobbies other than fucking following me around!"
ok. ouch.
"i like my job at the beef so much because it gives me chance to get the fuck away from you!" she didn't mean it, but she needed to find something to say that would hurt him as much as he hurt her. "i get that you don't have any other fucking friends but god! asking me to quit my job because you don't like that i'm spending time away from you is pathetic."
he was taken aback. that hurt. fighting with someone who knows you better than anyone else is a risky move. they both knew exactly what to say that would hurt each other the most.
y/n grabs her keys that she threw on carmy's bed and turned to fling open the door.
carmy scoffed. "i don't know who the fuck you are anymore."
"not your best friend, apparently." and with that, she slammed his bedroom door.
and she was right. after being no contact for nine year and two moves to new york later, they both have new best friends. until mikey died and they both move back to chicago, only to find that the beef was left to two people. the names on the operating agreement? y/n jerimovich and carmen berzatto.

Would you love me if I was a worm? (gn)
Currently on Shift: Carmen, Richie, Sydney, Marcus, Fak, Sweeps, Tina, Luca
Carmen
“...What?”
Would check your temperature
Make you drink a whole glass of water and sit you on the sofa
When he’s confirmed that you are not ill or dehydrated he’d be concerned
Wonders all night if he isn’t showing you enough love
Brings you flowers the next day and gummy worms too
Richie
“Fuck No!”
Asks if you would love him as a worm
When you say yes he calls you gross
Why’s he smiling though
Sydney
“I can’t kiss a worm though?”
She probably ate a worm as a kid on a dare once
Now cannot stand them
Hates the texture, but would try to get over it for you
Marcus
“Of course I’d love you, I’d take good care of you,”
Would make you a little home,
Keep you in the nicest tank
Decorate it seasonally
Would take you on walks sitting on his shoulder
Would knit you a blanket :’)
Fak
“Fuck yes, can I be a worm too?”
He’s whipped,
As long as you two can be together? He’s down
Besides, the life of a worm, coiling himself around your matching worm body?
Sounds pretty good to him
Sweeps
“What’s the scenario here?”
Asks you so many questions
Why you were turned into a worm?
When did you meet?
Is it a Princess and the Frog scenario?
Can he turn you back?
Comes up with a whole story of how he would save you from your worm curse
Tina
“What is wrong with you?
Will not even entertain the thought
Even if you ask again she’s not answering
Starts mumbling under her breath in Spanish
Not caring if you can understand her or not
Continues her prep to ignore you
Luca
“You’d be a cute worm”
Would kiss your forehead (kinda condescendingly)
You notice he’s avoiding the question
You open your mouth to ask him again
He puts a pastry in your mouth
His distraction is a success this time

Giving him silent treatment
Pairing: Vinsmoke Sanji x [gender neutral] Reader Words: ~ 1 400 Summary: You end up giving Sanji a silence treatment after the latest events. Tags: Sanji is very boyfriend / But also very dramatic / Just a little lack of communication
Requested by anon
A/N: i feel. nervous about this. ooc, maybe?
Tumblr media
• Sanji will notice it right away that you're a little different with him, not glancing at him whenever he is around nor making a comment about how his good dish tastes
• You even decide to go with Usopp, Luffy, Robin, Franky and Zoro when you stop at this new island instead of with Chopper, Nami and Sanji like the usual (Brook had stayed back to watch the ship
• You’re there watching Luffy get chased by a local animal while Franky and Usopp uselessly try to help him out—now you understand the reason they never get anything done—when you comment something about just helping them out at once
• At first, Zoro just hums in agreement as he was there along with Robin and you watching the three fools, but then he pauses and raises an eyebrow at you. "What are you doing here? Where is the shitty cook?"
• Your face twisted in a way Zoro decided not to ask any further
• You’re back at the ship and Sanji will ask where you were, met with no answer once again
• Maybe you're distracted? Busy with something else? So he will let you be for a while and later come by, more of testing the waters, asking you about what you were talking about with Robin or if stupid Marimo bothered you too much
• He will feel completely lost with you not answering and absolutely reduced to a shrimp size once you glare at him in a quiet acknowledgement of his presence because he needs to know you're aware of him and just not answering on purpose, otherwise he'd just be convinced you're distracted again
• Absolutely devastated. Will enter in collapse mode and go over every single little thing that he did because he can't handle (y/n)—his beloved (y/n)—stopping loving him under any circumstances, even more for something he may have done without conscience. He won't be able to live a single day without you giving him attention, he might as well die if you're never going to talk with him again—his mind does escalate that quickly
• Will be found obsession cooking for the next couple of hours because cooking helps him think and Luffy doesn't see any problem with it
• Later, he comes to you with your favorite dish and that lost puppy face when you're sitting at a table on Sunny's deck
• ...It’s hard to resist to it, but it's for the best, so you just send him a look before returning your attention to the sea and wait until he walks away so you can eat the dish he leaves on the table
• Okay, Sanji will give you a while longer, still trying to make up with you until the end of the day, but the fact he doesn't get any good night kiss nor good morning hug starts to drive him crazy
• Baby boy will fucking cry. He cries the same way he did when you were captured by Crocodile and then again by Enel, with this angst heavy in his chest with the sensation he will never again have you cuddling him to sleep or kiss your cheek when you sit on his lap or even receive an adoring look from you because he's just that insecure with finally getting a partner after many failed attempts
"(Y/n)?" You looked to the side to see Nami standing there; you were sitting at the same place as the previous day, messing with a book you fixed on the last island. She furrowed her eyebrows a little, scratching the back of her head. "Is everything alright?"
"...I would say so, kind of, why?"
"Well, you and Sanji seem a little... off, y'know." Nami pulled the other chair back to have a seat. "You weren't buying spices with him yesterday, he seemed pretty lost. Also, he is crying."
"He's what?" Your eyes widened at how she'd dropped the bomb with such casualty and no more explanation.
Nami nodded, crossing her arms over her chest. "Like, go talk with him! That's what I'm saying."
You cringed a little, sighing as you closed your book and leaned a little forward on the chair. Maybe giving him silent treatment wasn't the best way to deal with it in long-term; not only Nami had to approach the situation, but Sanji was fucking crying, also. Not that you weren't used to his dramatic behavior, but it was true it'd been a while since he last showed up and it usually wasn't a good sign if he was stuck in the galley like that.
"Take care." You slid your book to Nami with a sigh before you stood up and moved to go find Sanji.
The ingredients for whatever other dish Sanji was preparing received all the feelings he had supressed, being chopped quickly and with more force than needed while Sanji cried alone in the galley. You sighed at the sight, rolling your eyes half-heartedly before you closed the door behind yourself and approached him. Sanji looked over his shoulder and sniffled before he cried more.
"Hey, San, I—"
"I'm so sorry, my love, I don't know what I did, so maybe I'm not so worthy of your love anymore and..." He continued rambling without stopping chopping the vegetables.
You stood there for a moment, observing the mess he was in—you could ruin him just like that? Not like you wouldn't be desolated if you thought he happened to stop liking you, but knowing someone felt this way about you was quite different.
"Stop!" You grabbed him by the lapel of his blazer so he would finally stop what he was doing. "I never stopped loving you or anything, stop saying shit!"
Sanji blinked a couple of times and sniffled, looking at you. "Then what happened, mon amour? Every second without you feels like endless torture, I—"
"Sanji." You sighed, loosening your grip and playing a little with the fabric before you let your hands fall, fumbling with your thumbs at the lack of what to do under his confused gaze. "It's just that... You had..." Hell, it felt pathetic to say it out loud, to explain how your thoughts had twisted everything. "You promised me you would go with me to a clothing store as soon as we reached a new island, then you started making plans and didn't mention it. I thought you'd just not mention it to the others, but then asked Chopper and Nami to tag along as usual, and..." You paused to take a breath, swallowing dryly as your eyes followed along the buttons of his blazer. It would be shit if your voice started cracking and failing and got teary. "I got angry and frustrated, so I left because I didn't want to be rude to you because— because what if you didn't like me and everything I say doesn't matter? But then, what if you were just distracted and never noticed we had agreed on this little date thing? I didn't want to talk with you after that because what if I said the wrong thing? Did something I shouldn't just because I was angry and impulsive? I'm so sorry, I didn't want you to..." You sighed, shifting your weight, and motioned to him.
At first, Sanji didn’t know what to say, standing there with wide eyes. "No!" He mumbled, wrapping his arms around you to hug you close. "I didn't mean to make you feel like this! Didn't I tell you, my love?"
"Tell me what?"
Sanji blinked slowly as he looked at you then frowned, letting his gaze fall to the ground at the same moment his cheeks gained a red color—he didn’t really hug you anymore, more of just holding onto your sides with his hands balled into fists around your shirt. "I—I could swear I had told you to, um, wait until we got to a nicer island than the last one... There were many things to take care of, I could swear I had told you..." His eyes filled with tears again, and you hummed understandingly, wrapping your hands around his shoulders to hug him close and press a kiss to his head. "I—I didn’t want to m—make you feel that way—"
"Oh, no," you sighed as you cleaned his face, mentally cursing yourself. "No, c'mon, no need to sacrifice yourself at this, pretty boy, it happens!"
"But—"
The way you glared at him had Sanji falling quiet with a pout, making you grin before you pecked his lips in return.

Too Sweet.
Based on the following ask from @reidstheyfriend : Hotch x innocent/sunshine! Reader
I got this idea listening to Too Sweet by Hozier. I just immediately think of Hotch when listening to the song. I feel like Hotch would think he’s too broken or traumatized for reader because she’s so sweet and her heart is full of love and joy and that’s something he loves about her. He’s worried he would corrupt her and that she deserves better. So, most of the fic I would say it’s Hotch longing for reader but putting distance between them. Until he can no longer take it anymore. He needs her. He loves her.
I especially see the line where Hozier is talking about working late away from the phone and it makes her worry. I see reader calling/texting Hotch at late hours because she’s worried about him and he is too caught up in work to see her calls/texts.

“Sunshine, you deserve so much more. I’m so sorry. I just, I want you to be with someone better, someone good.” Aaron said, his voice faltering.
“Aaron, wait. Let’s talk about this.”
Your heart broke at the sight of him. Aaron looked completely and utterly wrecked. You had a pretty good feeling that you knew his reasoning behind this conversation. Aaron had always called you his sunshine, he had said that you brought light into his life that had been long since dulled. You knew that Aaron had this fear of dulling your light, but you knew that wasn’t the case…you thought back to some of the things that had happened in the last few months that may have led Aaron here.
*Three Weeks Earlier*
Aaron had been working late, it had been a local case that was time sensitive. You knew this meant it was most likely a hostage situation or a child abduction, these cases didn’t offer a chance for the team to head home and sleep.
You had been keeping up with the case as much as the news and texts from Garcia would allow. You hadn’t heard from Aaron in a few hours, which wasn’t totally uncommon, however, Garcia had told you that the case had been solved and the team had been dismissed for the evening.
You figured he must be finishing up the reports and decided you send him a text before heading to bed for the night.
Hey baby, I know you’re working, I just wanted to text and let you know I am heading to bed. Jack wanted me to tell you he loved you when you got home, but I’m not sure when that’ll be. Honey, don’t work too hard…come home soon. I love you so much.
You hit send and set off to your room, after brushing your teeth, you slid into bed. After tossing and turning for a little bit, you hopped out of bed and moved to your dresser. You pulled out one of Aaron’s t-shirts and changed into it, adding a spray of his cologne. After taking a deep breath, your body immediately relaxed, and you climbed back into bed.
It was after three in the morning when Aaron came through the door. He made sure to be as quiet as possible as he moved through the apartment. He quickly checked in on Jack and then made his way to your room. His heart clenched as he saw you curled up in his shirt, clutching his pillow. He changed his clothes and brushed his teeth quickly before climbing into bed behind you, wrapping his arms around your middle. You shifted closer to him and he pressed a gentle kiss to your neck.
*Two Weeks Earlier*
Aaron had been home for about two hours and in that time, he’d greeted you, grabbed a whiskey and gone straight into his office. Things at the BAU had been extremely busy, this had been the first night Aaron had been home in three weeks. All you wanted was to have him by your side while you slept tonight.
“Aaron, honey, why don’t you come to bed? It’s nearly daylight.” You suggest.
“I, know sunshine, I’m sorry. I’m almost done!”
“Aaron…”
He looked up at you, finally noticing the exhaustion in your expression. He clicked his mouse a few more times, signed one last form, then got up. He made his way to you and wrapped his arm around you.
“Let’s get you to bed.” Aaron said as he placed a kiss to your temple.
Things had been like this more often than not, Aaron consistently working late, be it at home or the BAU. He’d be up until dawn, sipping his whiskey neat, going over paperwork. You’d fallen into this pattern where you’d be waking up in time to say goodnight to him. Knowing he’d have to get up pretty soon, you’d make his coffee, not that it took much, he drank it black. Aaron would get up, make his way to the kitchen, grab his coffee, and give you a kiss as thanks.
“Sunshine, you are as bright as the morning.” Aaron smiles.
“Honey...” You’d blush.
*Present Day*
“Sunshine, there’s nothing more to talk about. I’m not good for you. You have stayed up waiting for me, time and time again. You consistently have to go to bed without me, have dinner without me. I mean last month alone I missed three dates, two of Jack’s soccer games, and the Halloween party at your sister’s.” Aaron trailed on.
“Aaron, honey, it’s okay. It happens. The BAU is a busy job, you’re literally making the world a safer place.”
You could see the emotions flashing across Aaron’s face. The inner turmoil he was currently experiencing made you reach out to him, gently placing your hand on his cheek. He brought his hand up to cover your own, leaning into your touch.
“Sunshine I just want you to be happy. You should be with someone who has time to show you how wonderful you are, someone who doesn’t miss dates.”
“Aaron, don’t you get it? You have made me so incredibly happy in the time we have been together. I got into this relationship knowing full well that you would be extremely busy and that you might miss some things…but that doesn’t bother me. Honey you show me your love and appreciation every single day. You have my favorite flowers delivered once a week, that way I’ll always have fresh ones. You leave me sticky notes on the bathroom mirror with sweet notes, so I’ll have a good start to my day. You put my towel on the warmer so I can be extra cozy when I get out of the shower. You make me lunch each morning, so I don’t have to. This relationship is so much more than missed dates and waiting up honey. You are an honest, kind, loving man, Aaron you deserve to be loved.”
Tears were falling from both you and Aaron. You just wished that Aaron could see himself through your eyes. After things with Haley, he truly had never been the same, he feared that his love only brought destruction. It had taken months of dates and persuasion (from Dave) to get Aaron to ask you to be his. The longer Aaron had been with you, the more he thought that he didn’t deserve your love. You were the best person he knew; you could bring a smile to anyone’s face through your presence alone. He couldn’t let his darkness cloud your sunshine. And yet here you were, proving to him that he too had light, light that he had brought to you.
“I’m sorry sunshine. I just, I get in my head. You’re just so good.”
“Aaron it’s okay, as long as you don’t still plan on calling this quits.”
“I’m not going anywhere sunshine. I can’t promise I won’t doubt myself ever again, but I can promise that I am here for the long haul.” Aaron squeezed your hand gently.
“Well, that’s good because you are stuck with me.” You smiled.
“You’re too sweet for me.” Aaron said before leaning in and pressing a gentle kiss to your lips.

[Sanji x reader]
Synopsis: Reader is afraid to fall in love. That can’t stand when the recipient of these feelings is a hopeless romantic.
warnings: none. Just pure romance.
Tumblr media
“Fate helps the courageous, you have to be brave to fall in love.”
You and Brook sit on the deck, him giving advices you didn’t ask for, but so needed to hear.
“I’m not afraid, Brook. I just don’t think it’s necessary…” - you explain, your speech interrupted as you listen to a distant laugh of the blond cook, smiling under the sun with the rest of the crew. Your eyes soften and a little smile appears on your face which soon enough goes away as soon as you notice Brook’s gaze on you.
“Do you know how hurtful they can be?” - he asks, looking at you before standing up slowly.
“What?” - you ask, following his movements with your eyes.
“Unsaid words.”
You widen your eyes at his statement, a sudden realisation hitting which you so try to deny with your whole being. He continues:
“See, your eyes tell the story. - he sighs, turning your back on you. Let me ask you one last question then; that thing that you are afraid of, is it stronger than the feelings your heart withholds for him?”
Your gaze is hidden as you look down at the floor. His words echo in your head, unable to answer his question, yet you try to be honest.
“Brook, I don’t believe in such thi-
“Don’t be stupid. - he interrupts, his tone stern. - you don’t believe in your own feelings? That’s hypocritical. The fact that you have such emotions should prove you already that love exists, it is real and… it is everywhere.” - Brook slightly moves your chin to the left, making you glance at Sanji who was happily serving some cold drinks to the crew.
“Can you say it again… that love doesn’t exist?” - he asks after a short pause, noticing your soft stare at Sanji.
It doesn’t take you long to get lost while looking at the man who has become the catalyst of your paradox. You sit and wonder if his hair was crafted with sunlight, if his smile was sent so you could dream of it, wish it could appear even when the darkest of skies covered it.
His hands gentle and his heart kind, not to mention how he speaks to you, comforts you, the way his touch makes your skin feel alive… never had you craved someone’s arms around you more than this. Soon enough, he walks away back to the kitchen and your eyes sadden, the same eyes which before we’re blinking ever so slowly as to capture every detail of the blond, now they look away unimpressed by anything else.
Brook smiles and leaves you be by yourself. You don’t notice his missing presence, instead your mind keeps running on and on about one thing:
Can you say it again… that love doesn’t exist?
You cuss under your breath, leaning on your back completely, gazing at the sky.
You were so afraid of love that you denied it’s existence. There wasn’t any past experience that shifted your perception or anything, actually, that was exactly the problem:
You had never felt loved.
The feeling when you can rest your head on someone’s lap and have zero worries in your heart? Nope.
When you tell someone you’re sick and they don’t leave your side until you’re feeling better? Nope.
When you’re being yourself, no matter how weird and annoying, they’d look at you lovingly and listen to you talk for hours? Nah.
That’s the scary thing; you never experienced these things, until you met Sanji.
“My goodness, you scared me! I thought you had passed out!” - after a few footsteps are heard, a gentle yet nervous voice is heard. You don’t move a muscle although you recognise it.
“Don’t worry. I’m just trying to relax a little.” - a fake smile wears out, noticing the presence of the cook becoming more evident.
“Is there something wrong?” - he asks, hands on his pockets and a cigarette between his lips.
Your lack of response worries the cook, who lays besides, gazing at the sky then at you.
From so close, he notices some cute moles in your face he hadn’t seen before. Your gorgeous eyes fixated above made Sanji ask himself if they were mirroring the blue sky or his mind was playing games with him. There’s a strong urge to put a strand of hair behind your ear with the hope that you’d shift your eyes to him, so he does.
When your eyes meet his, he sighs with a smile.
“These get me every time…- he covers his bashful face. - how…how do you do this?” - Sanji avoids your stare for a bit, trying to collect himself.
“Do … what?” - you gulp hard, noticing the close proximity between you and the chef. Your heart starts beating like crazy and your brain sends a code red all over your body, not knowing how to react.
“Captivate me so endearingly that I forget how to breathe.” - he says, turning his face again to yours, trying his best not to stare at your lips.
“I’m the one who should be asking you; do you know what you do to me?” - you turn your whole body towards his, resting your head on your arm whilst looking up at him.
“What is that… I do to you?” - he asks with a tone of voice that remains gentle but now there is a hint of curiosity and playfulness.
“You asked me if there is something wrong… we’ll it’s you, Sanji. I think it’s very wrong how your existence defeats all my fears and worries, crumbles and crushes them although I’ve been trying to deafeat those all my life. - you say, breath getting heavier and heavier as you struggle to even swallow after every word. - it’s so wrong how terrified I am after every time my heart skips a beat when you smile at me, talk to me, look at me with those eyes that I’d go to war for just to get a glimpse of them, knowing that I might never return.”
Sanji is completely shocked, furrowing his eyebrows afraid of imagining the things you were confessing right now.
“Please just… release me of this torture… please…” - your voice shakes as you lower your gaze, hiding your face.
Sanji’s heart absolutely shatters. He hesitates but slowly reaches his hand to touch your shoulder. Once he sees that you react positively to his touch, he brings you closer to his embrace, his hand holding your head against his chest. He caresses it, fingers start brushing off your hair as his chin rests on top of your head after lending a kiss there.
“What do you want me to do, love? I’m certain you’ve picked up the feelings I have for you. I can’t simply shove them away, forget them, ignore them when it’s you every single day that occupies my mind. It’s you who’s the first thought of the morning and the carrier of my dreams at night. I find comfort in the fact that you exist under the same sky as me, under the same moon that knows and listens the cries of my heart, how it calls your name. So tell me, my beloved, my beautiful moonlight… what do you want from me?” - Sanji explains with a low voice that almost sounded husky as his hand is placed in your hip, caressing it with his thumb.
You gulp, cheeks getting so red that you’re losing sene of time and place.
“Say that you don’t love me, say that I’m just another woman in your life.” - your voice shakes a little but you don’t let yourself go.
Sanji looks at you silently for a while, a serious expression on his face.
“If I were to say that, lightning would strike me for telling such a lie. The sky has bore witness to my feelings and I can’t reject what keeps my heart alive. I’m sorry, love… please don’t ask me such thing. Don’t be mean. Don’t make a fool out of my emotions.”
You bite your lip, looking down embarrassed.
“Then what do I do? I can’t even admit this to myself… it’s so hard for me, Sanji.”- your voice becomes more stable, getting the courage to be more straightforward with the man who has made you feel such atrocity. Was he a blessing to you or a curse?
“Love, what are you trying to admit to yourself? Tell me. I want to know if it’s true, I want to know that this isn’t happening in my head.” - he whispers softly to you as you clench to his shirt.
“I… I can’t…” - you stutter, drowning your face even deeper in his embrace as he blushes terribly. His hand reaches to cup your cheek.
“You can. - he says, caressing it with his thumb. - and I’ll be waiting for you whenever you’re ready. I will be like a love letter waiting to be read by your soft hands, kissed by your sweet lips… I’ll remain silent as my chest bursts open with every wave of your hair as you walk by me, with your scent captivating my senses. I’ll withhold my breath until you find me and give me life. My love, don’t be afraid… don’t ever be afraid.”
A single tear falls out your eye, as if you let go of a heavy weight that had been pushing you down all this time. His embrace, his arms around you and the way he entangles those words likes he’s knitting love stories in an endless book… you knew deep in your soul that you loved him. You loved Sanji so much that sleepless nights were spend on how to greet him every morning, how to spend as much time with him as you could. When he comes back from a fight injured, you’d wait outside the door while he’s getting treated, praying for him to stay alive, to stay by your side always.
“Sanji, i… - words get stuck in your throat which the blond notices and decides to fill in.
“You know, I always doubted if love was a worldly thing, I thought it must come from heaven. Knowing you, it always confused me. To me, you’re heavenly. How can you not embrace what resembles you, what lives in you? - Sanji’s hand travels behind your back, pulling you closer to him as he whispers to your ear-Angel sent from above to dare loving me.”
He lends a kiss down your ear, his hot breath hitting your neck as he continues whispering sweet words to you:
“Beauty that rivals every wonder known to mankind. - his lips go a bit further down making their way to your neck. - Body and skin made for me to caress, to touch, to feel.”
A small moan escapes your mouth when he lends a kiss on your neck, brushing it off with his fingers.
Sanji smirks under his breath, but at the same time he didn’t want to rush towards anything. Thus, he stops and waits for you to say something which would determine everything.
“Sanji, if I’m ever asked what love is, I’d always say your name.” - it warmed his heart, this statement of yours went though him with such sincerity that it felt like the earth was shaking a bit. He touches his chest, realising how his heart has gone feral while reaching to hold your hand.
“Are you saying…” - he tries to ask but the wide smile on your face catches him off guard, turning his cheeks bloody red.
“I love you, Sanji. - you caress his palm with your thumb, taking his hand and placing a kiss there. - You’re heaven.”
Sanji is now a blushing mess, doesn’t even try to hide his face.
After the realisation hits you that you managed to confess like that, you both gasp spontaneously, standing up in disbelief and jumping into each other’s arms while shouting out loud your joy.
“You love me? Ahhh, you love me!” - Sanji shouts, grabbing you by the waist and twirling you in the air before letting his forehead meet yours.
“I love you, yes! I’ve fallen in love with you, silly cook!” - you say as you both close your eyes, smiling widely while embracing each other tightly.
Sanji’s lips part as he looks at you in awe.
“You’re a miracle.” - he says, grabbing your chin while pulling it in, lending a kiss on your cheek. Then another… then another…
You chuckle, caressing his chest with your hands.
“Thanks for showing me what love feels like, - you continue, biting your lip slightly. - I hope these feelings are reciprocated-
Sanji doesn’t let you finish your words when he picks you up, making his way to the kitchen.
Everybody stares at you both for a moment, all surprised when the cook opens the door and closes it shut after saying:
“The kitchen will be occupied for a while. Stay away.”
Luckily, not a lot could be heard from outside, but there is a slight chuckle of Brook who whispers to himself:
“Love defeats all once again. You were brave enough, after all…”

day in the life as a strawhat pirate
-> very messy, very cute, very fluffy.
-> i don't think any pronouns are used except for "you" but i had a male reader in mind when i was writing it...SHOUTOUT
Tumblr media
you wake up - luffy's foot is in your mouth, but also at the same time, his other foot is wrapped around your legs??? he stretched in his sleep and has trapped you in some very odd body trap...it takes you yelling at him to even wake him up.
sanji is the first to wake up, usually, and when you get to the kitchen the breakfast is waiting for you. now you have to sleepily fight for your share of the food because luffy is hangry (his default mood when he wakes up is hangry because he hasn't eaten yet...since he just woke up...) and then also there are 9 other hands that are fiending for all the dishes on the table.
after surviving a war in the dining room, you hope to take some time to relax. but that doesn't exist on the thousand sunny since chopper and usopp are quick to get into their shenanigans. they call you over, wanting to show you a creation that the sniper made, only for you to get a pie of whip cream to the face. they called you over so that they could prank you and now were rolling on the deck laughing about it.
instead of skewering them alive, you decide to take the peaceful route in going to the bathroom to wash your face off. oh, but franky is already in the bathroom taking his morning shower.
you get a face full of cyborg and a very girlish scream escapes his mouth when he realizes that you are standing at the entrance, watching him sing into the shower bottles - naked and all. he then screams out for how he can get no privacy, but you're just too determined to clean your face of the whip cream that you don't really pay him any mind.
when you get out of the bathroom, now having peace in mind, there is a rabid sanji and zoro fighting each other. they're at each other's throats for whatver reason and when they catch you walking down the hallway, they involve you in their fight...for whatever reason.
they're asking you to take a side, who was right in their idiotic fight, but they're both shouting so loud and at the same time you can't even process what either of them are saying. you can only blanky stare back at them as their huffing and puffying to regain their breaths from their nonstop yelling.
and then their expressions go back to being angry, but not at each other - at you, for seemingly being too neutral and not staking a claim to one of their sides. it's all just their adrenaline ramped up to a thousand (even though it's barely been an hour since they've woken up) and now they're trying to make your reaction the same.
you can only sigh, shoving your palms into their faces, and making them clear a path for you to leave the hallway. this makes their bickering turn back to each other instead, their shouts echoing all over the thousand sunny.
just when you finally think, maybe robin or jinbe could offer you comfort in peace, no! brook and nami are actually fighting about something on deck. as you listen in you hear about how brook is the one stealing their undergarments at night - that's enough for you to step in and deal with the perverted skeleton. a punch to his skull is enough to knock some sense into him (nami laid out a couple of her own on his head before you arrived)
nami thanks you in a sigh of exasperation. she offers you a slice of the tnagerine she had peeled, which she gingerly feeds you when you accept. and her face mimics that of an angel, eyes closed as she smiles kindly at you...before she barks at brook to make up for his odd, perverted actions by playing her her favorite song.
and even though you do enjoy brook's violin playing, that is just not your definition of peace right now. maybe any other day, but just not right now.
so you go below deck and finally find your favorite people: robin and jinbe. you practically collapse on jinbe, murmuring about how tired you were despite the day just starting, and robin laughs at your fatigue. she begins to read aloud for the three of you whilst jinbe's hand comfortingly goes up and down your back. she looks at your figure, observing your peaceful expression, before fluidly going back to reading aloud the history book she picked up.
jinbe is laid out against the cushioned seats so really, he's acting as a big bed for you and you definitely do not pass up the chance to catch a quick cat nap. and hopefully this time when you wake up, your captain's foot won't be in your mouth <3
(tags are platonic - its just to reach the audiences)

you kissed me just to kiss me
Tumblr media
because we all need some soft eddie fluff in our days <3
requested by anonymous
pairing: eddie munson x fem!reader
summary: the reader has never been kissed. eddie volunteers to be the first (no plot just sap and smoochin’)
word count: 1.5k
-
Nothing about Eddie matches the bedroom, yet he seems effortlessly at ease among posters he doesn’t recognize, lounging on the end of a bed that isn’t his, a worn novel he found on the bedside spread across his lap like he’s the one who dogeared all the pages.
He doesn’t quite fit with the image, but somehow, he enhances it. Turns a boring room into a shining landscape.
“Oh, come on,” Eddie says, setting the long-abandoned book aside. He rolls onto his stomach, propped up on his elbows with his hands on his chin like a little kid. He waggles his brows. “I swear, I won’t tell a soul.”
“Not happening.”
Eddie pouts. “Hey. I showed you mine, you show me yours.”
Your cheeks flame, but you manage to lift your brows and say, “You volunteered that information. And I’m pretty sure you just wanted to brag, because we all know Annabelle Jones looks like a supermodel, now.”
“Tomato, tomato.” He waves a hand. “Come on. Your first couldn’t have been that bad. I swear, I won’t judge.” He makes the sign of the cross, but you’re fairly sure he does it backwards. It almost makes you smile.
Almost. But the line of questioning is edging too close to a cliff that you spend most of your time far away from.
“Do I know ‘em?”
You frown. “No.”
“Ah, out of towner. Or a whirlwind vacation romance?” Eddie waggles his brows.
You chew on the inside of your cheek for a long moment before you say, “I haven’t.”
Eddie frowns. “Haven’t…?”
“Haven’t kissed anyone,” you say, and want to dissolve into the beanbag you’re sitting on.
Eddie’s lips part, and he stares at you for a long moment, like his brain has short-circuited.
You push off the beanbag and cross to your window, folding your arms and looking back at him.
“You said you wouldn’t judge,” you say.
Eddie shakes his head, quickly pushing up to a sitting position. “No, I wasn’t—it’s not that.” A line forms between his brows. “I’m just surprised, I guess.” He clears his throat. You can tell he’s about to ask the question, the one you ask yourself, the why, the how, and before he can, you answer.
“I always felt like I was… behind. It seemed like everyone and their mother was making out with someone under the bleachers. And by the time I graduated, I’d convinced myself it just wasn’t meant for me. That maybe there was just something wrong with me. I think part of me knew that wasn’t and that it’d happen eventually, but…” You let your gaze drift out the window, onto the bright afternoon street. “But it didn’t. And that part of me that believed in it got smaller. And now, here I am.”
The mattress squeaks in protest as Eddie climbs off it, and you hear him come to stand beside you, but you don’t look at him.
“There is nothing wrong with you,” he says. “You hear me? Nothing.”
You shrug. “Maybe. Maybe not. But either way, I’m still… behind.” A bitter smile twists on your lips. “How do you even tell someone that? Hey, so, before you kiss me, you should know, I’ve never even held a boy’s hand?”
“You’re not behind,” Eddie says. “So, what, you didn’t make out with some brace-face twelve year old, or get stuck in a closet with some asshole for seven minutes in heaven. That doesn’t mean shit. It sure as hell doesn’t mean there’s something wrong with you.”
“It does mean I have no clue what I’m doing. Even if—” You stop, trailing off before the words someone wanted to kiss me come out, because they still sound ridiculous. Fake. A beautiful fantasy.
Eddie is quiet for a moment. When he finally does speak, he says the last thing you expect.
“I could show you,” he says, and there’s something in his tone that makes you suddenly aware of how small the windowsill you’re both tucked into is.
“What?” you ask, heart kickstarting, nerves racing up and down your skin like electricity down a wire.
“Your first kiss, that’s a story you’re gonna tell for the rest of your life,” Eddie says. “You deserve a better story than some drunk hookup at a party with a stranger.” Eddie is seldom serious, but this, his hesitation and his soft tone, is different.
You risk a glance his way and find him already watching you. He’s closer than he was a second ago, and it’s both terrifying and exhilarating, and you’re fighting every urge to run for the door.
“The first person who kisses you,” he says, “should be someone who actually gives a shit about you.” He licks his lips. You’ve spent your fair share of time staring at those lips—more than you should. And then he grins, like can read your mind, and normally, it’d irritate you, but right now, it’s like sparking a match.
“You don’t have to do that,” you whisper. Your heart beats like a kick drum, so loud you’re surprised Eddie can’t hear.
His grin softens, and he shifts back, just a bit. For a split second, you think he’s decided against his own proposition, but then he says, “There’s no pressure. It’s just an offer, love.”
Eddie Munson has called you a dozen things besides your own name, but never that, and never like this.
“It’s no big deal if you don’t want to,” he presses. “But if you change your mind—”
“No,” you say. “I want to.” Heat rises up your neck, across your cheeks, all the way to your ears.
Eddie’s brows twitch. “You’re sure?”
You nod. But still, Eddie goes on, “Don’t just say it because you think you have to. You don’t. You don’t have to do anything you don’t want—”
“Eddie.” He pauses, and you gather up whatever courage you have to say, “Kiss me.”
For a moment, he looks at you like he’s never seen you before, and part of you feels the same. You’ve met a dozen versions of Eddie in the three months you’ve been friends, but not this one.
He lifts a hand to your face, thumb tracing gently down the corner of your mouth, to your chin, and back up. You will yourself still as he moves closer, closer, until his warm breath tickles your skin.
Eddie nudges your chin up, and your eyes fall shut. A beat later, Eddie brushes his lips against yours, ever so softly. It’s the ghost of a kiss, so soft and small you could have imagined it.
You shift back, struggling to think beyond the flames in your cheeks and the racing of your heart.
Eddie’s eyes snap open as you drag your tongue along your bottom lip, and his gaze darts down, and up again. His lips part, as if to speak, but you don’t give him the chance, leaning forward to kiss him once more.
And this time, you feel it. Slow, careful, his mouth against yours. Lemon shampoo and that spicy, earthy scent that cling to him always, and curls tickling your cheeks, and his hands, slipping to your waist and drawing you closer.
You may not have any shred of experience, but you’ve read enough books and seen enough movies to have a few ideas about how this works. So, when Eddie’s mouth parts, you sweep your tongue across his bottom lip. A shudder rolls through him, and though you didn’t think it was possible, Eddie pulls you closer, so close you can feel his heart thrumming against his chest.
At some point in the last few seconds, you started to back up, and when the backs of your knees collide with the tall seat of the windowsill, Eddie breaks from your lips just long enough to murmur, “Jump,” before he’s kissing you again. You do, and he guides you up, onto the sill, pushing between your knees.
And all you can think is, I can’t believe I waited this long. But not just to kiss someone. To kiss him.
Or maybe, that was the whole point. That all this time, you’d been waiting for him to stumble along.
Only when your lips are swollen and your lungs are screaming for air do you pull back, and even then, Eddie holds your face between his hands, his thumbs trailing up and down your cheeks.
“You have no idea,” he says, “how long I’ve wanted to do that.” And it’s like Eddie can sense you’re about to protest, or doubt it, because he adds, “Since the day I met you. You handed me that stupid, stupid work shirt—” You smile, and he’s smiling, too. He leans closer, bumps his nose with yours once. “—and I just knew. This girl is going to royally fuck up my life. And I couldn’t wait.”
“So, you’re saying we could have been doing this for three months?” you ask.
Eddie laughs, and you wish you could crystallize that sound, carry it on a keychain with you forever.
“Guess we’ll have to make up for lost time, then,” he says.
And even though it’s a little difficult to kiss with all the smiling, you manage to make it work.
