see this is so annoying to me because these ppl are talking a bunch of separate theories from individual people and then acting like they found some inconsistency across the whole group of people
like ppl can have different theories even if they want the same outcome? the generalizations are just so unnecessary and pointing out contradicting theories made by different people and calling them delusional is not the serve you think it is

I think sjm toyed with the idea of them. me personally I thought they had the chemistry of a stale breadstick but I definitely saw the hints she was laying to either you know add more external problems with elucien or actually have them end up together
and azriel noticing elain was a seer does mean something. it may not be that they are true mates and belong together but it’s still could be used as a detail to foreshadow them if sjm wants to go that route

unpopular opinion: lmfao i get kind of annoyed when people paint bilbo as this savvy political genius, especially when it's contrasted with thorin somehow being a bumbling idiot that doesn't know how to run his own kingdom. like i said before, bilbo is a normal regular guy, he might know a bit about navigating precarious social situations but he can be downright petty and rude sometimes. he's not some kind of political mastermind. also i hate those incorrect quotes post that have bilbo being straight up mean to thorin. he would not fucking say that.

SUPER LONG ITAPAN RAMBLE INCOMING!!!!
OKAY. OKAY. its been a while since ive rambled on this account so today im going to clear up how i see itapan so that no one gets confused when i say “i dont think they would ever date” and then proceed to draw them making out or whatever.
when you hear “one sided itapan” you might think italy has the stronger feelings (because he’s the one approaching and hugging and kissing japan or whatever) but i feel that it’s actually japan with the stronger feelings.
when italy’s affectionate towards japan, its not because he’s necessarily attracted to him, but that’s just how he behaves. i think that he’s kind of trying to lead him on so japan is nicer to him. italy has been coddled his entire life like he’s been taken care of by austria and hungary and spain and france and germany and literally everyone loves him. and he KNOWS that everyone loves him so he purposefully babies himself to others so he can get even more special treatment. hes an annoying little asshole who uses his good looks and weakness to get out of trouble and i love it!!!
throughout the series (both in anime, manga, and a little in hetamyu), japan actually grows a bit of a soft spot for italy because of how weak and pathetic he makes himself seem. at first he’s polite and awkward because he idolized italy to be strong and capable, but once his expectations are SHATTERED he gradually begins to want to take care of him in a way. he doesn’t get mad at him as often and sometimes even defends him when germany is upset or lecturing him (like in hetalia fantasia). he tucks him in bed and lets him sleep on his chest and share a bed and bathe together and do the gayest shit ever. i probably would’ve thought “well thats because he’s too polite to refuse” but he ACTIVELY wants to do this stuff with him. he puts a hand on his back to keep him in place when he rests on his chest. he visits italy often and loves to cook with/for him. he wants to learn how to hug and kiss him back even after italy says its fine. he writes him letters and a SONG where he asks italy to visit him and gives him a pressed flower bookmark. japan goes out of his way to return italy’s affection and spend time with him while italy just does it because he’s italy.
i dont really think it’s a “sad” one-sided crush because in the end they’re still friends! they still both care about each other and confide in one another and hang out. italy isnt just affectionate to japan because he wants to lead him on and get more special treatment, but because they’re friends and he does still like him platonically! they can act like a couple without actually BEING one and thats insane!!! i love that shit!!!!!
ive mentioned how itager/gerita was my first hetalia ship and it still stands as one of my favorites. the problem is that im PICKY with it because i dont like a lot of the fandoms’ interpretations of them. i guess i wasnt as picky with itapan and liked it simultaneously with (although much more than) itager. but when i rewatched all of hetalia over the spring i realized how much MORE i liked itapan in the context of itager, which kind of blew my mind. like i remember mentioning to some itapan friends how i think they would never date and i still stand with that today. like italy and germany are too busy trying to win eachother over and they would just get together instead. japan actually likes his friends though and wants them to be happy so he would just go “ok” and move on while still doing all that gay shit with them. i guess jt makes itapan more of a brotp but it doesnt make it any less enjoyable for me. i LIKE to see them hanging out and being friends and dont really mind fanart where they’re dating or whatever because i can just pretend that they’re not!
anyways sorry for being a little insane i hate itapan but i actually love itapan okay i love them okay yahoo!

She’s such a fun trickstery kind of character, I don’t think about her a whole lot though because I feel like she doesn’t have a lot of internal conflict or grounding. But I do like her. I think she’s probably more smart and cunning than she lets on, but not like a Secret Mastermind or wtv, like the eccentric hyperactive personality isn’t a facade and she’s not really sinister. Also I like how she eats raw meat and bites stuff

First Impression
-Alright tbh, he didn't stick out too much to me. On one hand the idea of being selfish in not wanting to be a ranger is very understandable but he kinda came off as a jerk(and the women stuff he talked about got old fast...)
How I Feel About The Character/Impression Now
-Like him now, he still has his moments but Conner really holds a piece that each of the rangers give to the table to make everything whole.
Favorite Moment
-the moments where he fights or hangs our with Trent, there's also "Lost In Translation" which is always a nice callback.
Idea For A Story
-Based a bit on "Lost In Translation", Conner traveling the many universes to find his twin Eric.
Relationships
OTPs
-Conner/Trent and Conner/Ethan are really underrated. Squeeze in Conner/Dustin and we got ourselves even more of a party.
BROTPs
-Conner/Kira, obviously these two are best friends. Conner/Past Red rangers but it's mainly one sided as they either try to let him off easy or are annoyed by the pestering.
Unpopular Opinion
-Not sure how I feel about him being a leader, the idea is alright but I would've like to have seen Ethan probably taking control. Heck even Kira, though it's better like this so that way Tommy doesn't fully get the veteran card in having free reign amongst the group.
One thing I wish would/had happened in the show
-Too.Much.Forms....dude got three power ups and yeah I get each ranger having a super mode balances it out bit when the shield drains everyone else's energy and on top of that getting a battlizer it seems like overkill. (Plus if they ever adapted the Abaranger movie then he'd have 4....GIVE EVERYONE ACCESS TO THE SHIELD TO BALANCE IT OUT COME ON)
Headcanons
-He secretly wishes to have one of the other zords as his main.
-Due to seeing Abaranger he tapped into the grid and found other dimensions that have sentai teams and watches them like shows.
-He's got a thing for guys but still is new to it, just trying to understand a few things about himself.
-There's a secret wallpaper he has of the red rangers from the past teams....definitely not a crush thing, jokes aside he really admires some of the red's and wouldn't mind getting training lessons.
-During college Kira became a base player for a Japanese band and after attending a concert Conner became a japanese rock fan(TK from Ling Tosite Sigure, any Tokyo Ghoul fans out there).
-He actually attended the Wind Academy before Reefside but was forced to transfer back because his parents like to keep control over one sibling(seeing Conner the problem child), of course he retained an element and uses wind.
-Hugs, dude loves hugging his team.
-Sometimes it's nice to take the raptors or motorcycles out at night and stroll around the city. Especially when it's raining and he's got the music blasting from his speakers.
-Due to the dino gems the rangers each have a permanent mark from using them. Conner has a barely noticeable scale pattern on his neck leading down to his upper back, a bit like a cool wing mark.
-Conner will never admit it but he really loves it when a date, no matter guy or girl, gives him a bouquet of flowers. He's got a high sense of smell and the aroma rocks him to the core, reminds him of a simpler time and he even keeps one in his apartment.
-He became Trent's fashion model for two years and only relied on getting clothes from him because they are so stylish.
-He loves decoding with Ethan and even carries the blue ranger to bed sometimes whenever he falls asleep in his personal lab.
-Despite his best efforts he's hasn't been able to keep in contact with Tommy over the years. When they do meet up it's usually some small interactions like going to other planets or seeing other rangers. Due to this Conner went searching for mysteries himself and almost found Solon's ship on accident, in another timeline Conner became a Dino Fury ranger before 2023.
-Kira pretty much is like a sister to him and the two bicker all the time with the other team mates betting on who will be the one to make up in the end.

-Cool as heck, especially with seeing him as a kid in DT and finding out he had more appearances with the series prior, like legendary as heck
How I Feel About The Character/Impression Now
-still cool and stuff, love the depth I've learned about him over the years and he's definitely iconic in my mind. A bit of a reach whenever he's put on a full pedestal all the time because it does take away from everyone around him so it's nice to have some atmosphere when gives spotlight to others.
Favorite Moment
-Actually have yet to choose one but his first morph in DT is very iconic.
Idea For A Story
-Trying to piece his soul together with the lost fragments(2 reds, 1 white, 1 black and 1 green).

Unpopular Opinion
-Too much focus on Tommy, yeah he's THAT dude and we know it but let's not act like there isn't any other iconic rangers throughout the franchise to speak about.
One thing I wish would/had happened in the show
-Just a scene or two of him brushing his hair or even having Jason do it....like imagine how fun that could've been.
-Blowing the dragon flute out of his suit for laughs like the famous JDF meme.
-Seeing him and Zeltrax have a moment considering Zeltrax as Terrance Smith and the colleague of both Tommy and Anton. Plus it's darker when you find out Terrance had no family or connections before them so he kinda died in the end as Zeltrax without anyone remembering him. Like imagine Tommy finding out that he indirectly caused him to become a cyborg. In a perfect ending Zeltrax gets some peace in his demise and both Tommy and Anton set up a memorial for him.
Headcanons
-No matter who he's dating Tommy is a complete diva about his hair and needs specific products to keep it managed. Whenever someone compares the couple he loves his significant other but hair is HIS domain.
-He's a former Loreal model and has so much money saved up from those days. Katherine said one day that she'd shave it off just for fun and now he sleeps with his door locked.
-Tommy loves cooking and has a meal no matter what team he's on waiting after a mission.
-The main reason why he wanted to make Biozords was to possibly make them small and have pet zords to hold whenever a day gets stressful.
-In secret he wants to be a pink ranger just once, like to see the hype but considering his status it he might ruin it for other pink rangers because then the label about them will all be washed away under Tommy's legacy so he refrains.
-Before taking up martial arts he was into gymnastics and fencing for two years, hence why he's such a good sword fighter. Though compared to Casey, the Shiba siblings and the Rafkonian knights he's outclassed.
-He scammed the Reefside school district out of 20 million dollars.
-He still has a few of Jason's shirts to wear.

so there's the obvious one (rnhru) but i also vaguely feel this way about rei/gisa. HEAR ME OUT. it's not that it's bad. i understand where it comes from, i like totally get it. i just never felt as much of the chemistry there as others did, mostly bc i think nagisa doesn't get quite enough character moments. i have loved what the fandom has done with the two of them, tho!!

in general for SURE, but i got RLY into free super late in the game, so the ship wars were over. i did have someone who was like. the backseat driver when i first got into the show, and i wasn't so good at standing up for myself or my opinions back then, so for a long time i was a huge hiyo/iku hater. this has since changed, bc i deeply adore how fucked up they both are LMAO.
Has fandom ever made you enjoy a pairing you previously hated?*
^^^ as stated above, hiyo/iku!!!!!!!!!! catherine's love of hiyori and all the meta analysis of hiyo/iku as parallels to mako/haru were some of my favorites, and really helped me move past the bias my ex-friend had instilled in me about the pairing.

i'm gonna be so real, i don't rly like ai as a character; i found him vaguely annoying and he doesn't really amount to anything or add to the plot other than being the wet paper bag rin steps on a bunch in the beginning of the show... his parallel with nagisa isn't very strong, and i just like. idk. that's about as far as my dislike goes for characters in this series LOL

honestly, these days it's pretty great!! the echoes of the ship wars and the obsession with who's ship is more canon annoy me tho. canon has no bearing on whether the ship is good. shipping is about extrapolation. i don't really care which ship is "more" canon. it's not a competition, and people getting obsessed with it are obnoxious. like what u like!! it's ur right!!

Yeah, Octavinelle is a good example of a group that we love a lot, but only see as platonic! I feel like I say that all the time but I would watch a long series just about these three and their shenanigans. They’re super fun and super funny…
I also love it when Ortho interacts with the Tweels, because they have this “oh no they’re going to teach him bad things” energy lol
Idia and Vil are also a nice combo, because I just really love it whenever Vil gives him a pep-talk.
+ Not a Brotp, but Malleus and Rollo have fun chemistry, even though we don’t ship them.
In general, since the characters are so different and well-written, combining a lot of them is usually very entertaining to watch!

The more it think about it, the more I kind of like the idea of the Shrouds parents not showing their faces ever lol Just thinking about the possibilities is fun + it leaves the funny idea of both of them having burning hair as a possible option. But in actuality, I think that Idia’s dad looks pretty similar to Idia, but obviously older and with shorter hair. As far as their mom goes, I have zero thoughts lol she’s probably cute though.
Can’t say much about them personality-wise, but Azul would try suuuuper hard to make the best impression possible. He would be super excited to meet them and to become a part of his family properly, he would consider it one of the most important deals in his life. He’s calling it “a deal” as if Idia is some kind of a product, geez…
He might win over the mom (or at least think that he did win her over), but the dad probably would see just how fake and super pushy he is. In any case, everyone in the Shrouds’ family would probably think that Azul is annoying on some level lol
Osato-san’s work is very good, I stumble upon it sometimes! Unfortunately for us, they prefer IdeAzu over AzuIde though, so I don’t scroll it too much… but the comics you’ve mentioned are indeed cute.

I guess we thought it’s enough to agree with the anon who told us about Snake and Silver being similar?..

The fact that Callum is the character in the trio most consistently down with murder, given that one its members is an assassin. will never not be funny to me. A snake boi older brother to the most pacifist little brother ever is both hilarious as a contrast, and makes total and utter sense.
Additionally: love that while Rayla has an extra incentive to go for the Novablade (doing so would also mean making progress with freeing her parents in one fell swoop) Rayla sides with Ezran's viewpoint, once again emphasizing their similarities and setting Callum apart in his decisions and inclinations.

Gender Headcanon: cis man, though I do love the trans man Glomgold headcanon. I also can kinda see him using Xenogenders, though he’ll probably never know they exist.
A ship I have with said character: I ship him with Rockerduck. HEAR ME OUT!!!!! I like to think of it as, like, Rockerduck planning to pull a black widow on Glomgold. Marry him, get closer to him to put his guard down and kill him. And Glomgold plans to use him to make Goldie jealous. So they fake date but (eventually) get closer to each other!!! There’s a lot more to it (if you want to know more just send me an ask) but I don’t want to make this TOO long.
BROTP I have with said character: I like to think of him as a father figure to Lena!!!! I have a AU in the back of my mind where he adopts her instead of the Saberwings!! He probably wouldn’t be the best dad, but he’d TRY!!!
A NOTP I have with said character: …This is gonna be controversial, isn’t it? Scrooge, I can see it as a crush from Glomgold but I can’t see Scrooge crushing on him back. Scrooge probably sees him as a annoying little brother more then anything.
A random headcanon: He likes to sleep (when he does sleep) in a sleeping bag under his shark tank. He likes being near his babies!!
General Opinion over said character: I LOVE HIMMM!!! He’s the thing that got me into my DT17 hyperfixion!!! Silly lil man!!! He’s so stupid and funny but if you look between the lines he’s super complex and honestly, fascinating !! He’s basically become my comfort character!!!

tbh i was so hyped when chaos sonic (i believe that's what they're calling him?) showed up, but overall i was just more annoyed by him than anything (which is likely the whole point!!) i was honestly just too eager to get back to the rebels and dread, to be honest. ill probably like him more upon rewatch.

honestly im still a tad disappointed that shadow cant enter the shatterspaces, tho. i would've KILLED to see him and sonic go through them together. the fights, the character interactions, THE POTENTIAL. all lost, im afraid.
this is all so chaotic but just. in conclusion i hope nine and sonic can find a middle ground not just for the sake of the universe, but my heart :[ i cant wait for more shadow, as well, and crossovers between the different shatterverses. this has all been a massive step up from season 1 (which was already super solid) and i just cant wait to see what happens next !! i wonder if the grim is really as empty as nine believes.....
season 3 could NOT come out sooner !!!!

favorite thing about them: i love how he’s such a level-headed guy like 99% of the time but he got into a verbal argument with black pete in e2. like he was right, but the """mature""" thing in that situation isn’t bickering so loudly you get trapped by the indigenous residents of the island you’re stuck on. the fact that the show doesn’t make him “be the bigger person” 24/7 honestly makes his maturity and emotional intelligence that much stronger because like, yknow what? fuck being the bigger person sometimes. he deserves to bitch at this annoying tryhard who wont stop lying about working for blackbeard.
least favorite thing about them: my least favorite thing about olu is that there’s not enough of him. olu should be in every scene
favorite line: “Coming, nana! I’m coming for some cake~” because OBVIOUSLY
brOTP: i’m picking two bc i’m greedy lol.
first off: olu and stede. their vibes are SO different and i think they’d probably have a hard time like, picking a casual activity to do together, but i feel like they have a lot of core similarities when it comes to who they are as people and caring abt others. also whenever i think about the two of them being sad and lonely in stede’s cabin in e7 i want to laugh! these poor heartbroken boys!!!
number two: olu and frenchie bc they worked together SO well to pull off their scam and i want to see them just hanging out. it kinda feels like olu has more common sense whereas frenchie has more life experience and i think the two of them together can get up to some CRAZY shit but also they'd be able to do those casual activities together that olu and stede would not be able to agree on. frenchie should play songs and olu should sing to them and also i am picturing olu helping frenchie get over his fear of cats and my heart is so full of love rn

random headcanon: he grew up in a huge family that was almost entirely women. his only siblings are sisters and his dad passed when he was young, so the only men in his family are like two or three uncles and a handful of cousins, all of whom are either way older or way younger than him.
unpopular opinion: idk if this is unpopular but i think olu should get to top jim sometimes. i always see jim topping and while i have ZERO complaints abt that i think maybe sometimes they should switch? pretty sure that for a lot of fans it's like a dysphoria thing they're projecting onto jim which is super valid. but i personally would like to see art of olu topping.

• Why I like them: megumi is literally perfect to me. as a character i love that he sticks to his convictions even when they are selfish and that he’s not afraid to do what needs to be done, he’s not cookie-cutter like yuji but he’s just as caring and he’s got a kind heart. from a simp standpoint he’s super fine, he’s broody and grumpy and probably not super outwardly affectionate which is my type and he’s a good person who would take care of you.
• Favorite episode (scene): two favorites. a cursed womb must die arc cause of the way it delved into his character. and also the fight in s2 with him and yuji because seeing them work together and how smart my boy is was fun and he looks so fine.
• Favorite season/movie: season 1 cause life was happier for him.
• Favorite line: “i don’t care if im right or wrong, i only believe in my conscience”
• Favorite outfit: the white shirt/black pants and red headphones over his neck.
