Danny kneels in front of the couch where Helio sits slumped, rubbing and rotating his swollen wrists. He jolts with surprise as Danny’s hand presses against his bare chest, pushing him to lean further against the sofa. “Sit up straight.” Helio obliges, but as he tries to sit up against the back of the sofa, he grunts and a hand instinctively reaches for his wound. Danny catches the hand before it covers the injury, gently pulling it away. He can see the wound clearer, no longer half covered by Helio’s hunched torso. It’s deep, at least one rib is cracked (if not broken) from where the bullet penetrated, which would explain the shaky breathing. The only reason he’s conscious is because he’s a werewolf and his body is trying to heal itself—but it can’t because the silver bullet remains deep inside. The skin on the outside has healed over it, but the inside is still raw, and if the rib did heal itself, it must not have healed in the proper place. Danny has had decent medical training throughout his many, many identities, but shouldn’t remove a bullet without any tools. The daggers hidden on his person aren’t ideal. But what would be ideal, and humane, would be general anesthesia. “What’s wrong?” Lara asks, moving into Danny’s peripheral vision. “Yeah, Doc?” Helio’s joking doesn’t disguise the worry in his eyes. Mortals need answers for things before they allow you to poke and prod, even when there are none to give. “I want to see if you have silver poisoning.” Helio’s brows furrow. “How do you do that?” Danny meets his eyes grimly. “Oh… you have to drink my blood.” “Or open your wound back up,” Danny offers. Helio fidgets. “No, no. Drinking is fine.” Danny pulls down his mask so Helio can see his smirk. The last time they saw each other, Helio broke up with him in front of Brad. The last thing Helio said to him was it’s over. Despite that, though, his sickly pale cheeks flush. “Don’t get excited,” Danny teases. Helio tries to glare, but it’s weak. “Shut up.” Danny notices the phoenix’s heart rate behind him jump. Taking Helio’s hand from his lap, Danny lays a brief kiss on his thumb before a fang clicks. It breaks the skin, thin as a paper cut, enough for a few drops of blood to absorb onto his tongue. A little bitterness, but mostly sweet, but with a strong metallic aftertaste that shouldn’t be there. His eyes darken as he pulls away, but doesn’t let go of Helio’s hand.

For each eye roll, Mickey smiled broadly and waved. Whatever put everyone in a bad mood couldn't be all that bad. He'd seen the supply truck earlier. That was always a great thing. He'd have to go to the diner later. Maybe they finally got some mac and cheese. He'd been crazing mac and cheese. But first he needed to see someone special.

"Lara!" He stumbled through the flap of the tent, simply shrugging when a few sets of eyes looked at him. He wasn't skipping the line when he didn't see a line for medical attention. "It happened again." He sat on the cot in front of his favorite doctor. "I was training and got hurt."

Lara had definitely welcomed complicated in her life, so there was very little to blame other than herself for the situation. Yet they had successfully avoided this for 2 years. Had being the key word. The main thing the two of them had agreed on when she first got pregnant was keeping their son out of public eye. One of those things that had been easier said than done and they had done it. Then the alerts came up on her phone, the texts spammed her phone, everyone who didn't know the truth finally thought they were entitled to know.

"The hell? You had one job." Lana herself was more concerned about how he had let this happen. Of course paparazzi and personal space weren't a match that made sense. She was doing her very best to not blow up on him. The fact that his fan pages were now posting pictures were unnerving. Fingers massaged her temples as she paced the room. "I know there's no way to make them take it down. I tried already - laughed me off the damn phone." And she had cussed them right back. "So now what? Fuck! You promised me we wouldn't have to do this." That was long before he blew up. Still.

arthur gives her hand a squeeze and pulls it up to press a kiss to the back of her palm. the statement feels bittersweet. he's happy she can feel comfortable around everyone, but there's a heaviness that weighs on the fact.

"well, honey, we're just glad you're here," lara tells her as she grabs her coffee from the counter. "i was starting to think arthur was just gonna hole up in the bookstore everyday." her tone is light, teasing-- an effort to make sakura smile. she walks up to her and places her hand on her arm. her smile turns even warmer and she furrows her brows a little. "you're always more than welcome to our home, okay? any day, any time. and we're always a phone call away." / @survivics

i think tiso, cloth and ivie should be a cute circle of friends think about it

aside from the whole tiso/ivie romance cloth is such a cute warrior i think she would always run to ivie just to talk about the battles she got to and is super overprotective of her (much to tiso's jealousy like "I SHOULD'VE BEEN THE ONE HOLDING HER HAND, CLOTH 🗣️🗣️🗣️")

maybe cloth is actually unaware of the romance between those two until someone breaks it to her(whether they admit it's a crush, or it's MU*) but when it does happen she's like. goodness gracious i have to protect this lovely couple now and tiso's like HOE NOT A COUPLE NO NO 🗣️🗣️🗣️ YET

tiso to ivie is such a seesaw of emotions for him because one time he decides to be mean but next time he's dead worried about her and accidentally exposes his... "caring side" and then plays it off as EHEM YOU'RE JUST WEAK AS HELL BE LUCKY I CARED 🗣️🗣️ (he stares at the blue lake later wondering why he called her weak as hell and he wants to say sorry but his ego can't)
