Random small drama but I was just blocked on my personal ig for the first time by this cool huge natural birth page bc they posted smthing saying only parents can ‘decide’ if they are low- or high-risk, I commented that they actually can’t and pulled out the medical knowledge receipts, ppl flamed me that I was brainwashed and need to let parents do what they want, and I responded that you know what yeah y’all are right y’all can, even when your decisions permanently damage/kill yourselves and your babies 🫠 like if I didn’t DIE first I would kms if I made the decision to have a ~healing home birth~ surrounded by my husband and doula despite my 24 comorbidities and my newborn died bc I couldn’t get to the hospital fast enough. Ppl really don’t wanna hear about the things that can go wrong tho they only wanna surround themselves with pixie dust and good vibes and then be completely taken off guard when things don’t go well for them

And I have a lifetime of learning English by reading fics with google translate and dictionary in hand, working thought songs lyrics and watching movies with subtitles so I could learn to read, listen, speak and write in an idiom no one around me got.

I have a heavy urge to draw Cinna but ugh! I first off can't think of an idea to do a drawing of Cinna and secondly I can't draw skeletons for crap because I've never done any practice with drawing skeleton in my own art style, as it is of old arts I see of mine the art style is too cartoonish which I do not want my art style to look like that. I would try and draw some of the incorrect quotes I've posted but I have the same problem of not being able to draw sketons. 🫠

Thinking about how Cinnabar would have a note page, on her phone, about all the things you like. Maybe it can be little journal dedicated to you? 🤭 i can see her having either of them. Like, she records what foods you enjoy, how you like your coffee/tea, your regular orders, etc.

She jots them all down saving it in your contacts or something 😭 Whenever you even say something in passing, she’s gonna take note and remind herself to write that down cause its for you 🥺 she remembers without it but she has them just incase.

She remembers every important date🗣️!!! Cinnabar is the type of lady who would get flowers on your first month anniversary, and continue getting them every month on that same day 🥺 she absolutely smitten with you

You didn’t mention anything, but Cinnabar caught on from how irritated you were during a videocall so she does all this for you 😣

Snuggling with Cinnabar, you get to relax and wind down with the softest gf known to man. Cinnabar listens attentively about your day, letting you rant a bit but not dwell too much on those negative emotions. Imagine catching her writing things down? Your talking and when things wrap up, and you get up to go use the washroom you get a peak at Cinnabar’s phone. You see the wall of notes with your nickname at the top. Cinnabar even put a goddamn emoji that reminds her of you 😭

It may just be me projecting, but Cinnabar would explode/pos if you mention her little notepad of things. Babygirl would be so embarrassed being caught with pages worth of things she written down about/for you. Cinnabar is a little scared you’ll think she’s weird for writing everything down, but you assure her it’s nothing weird. If anything, that’s one of the most endearing thing ever!

She would hide her face in a pillow, but also let you see her entire list of things she has for you. It’s such a sweet and intimate thing, but a good memory the two of you share with eachother. Give Cinnabar lots of kisses and show how much you love her, because this woman can and will go above and beyond for you 🥺

My office is in an "all hands on deck" type of situation right now. Normally that's where I thrive! Sense of emergency, no need to prioritize because the urgency took care of it for me and everything is due yesterday!

BUT. Timing, it turns out, is a bitch.

I ran out of meds (because appointments are ridiculously hard to book in this post-covid med staff shortage) and am not seeing my doctor until a month from now. After trying to get an appointment for the past THREE MONTHS to avoid THIS EXACT PROBLEM.

So I'm over here feeling guilty and frustrated while doing absolutely fucking NOTHING because my brain is a goddamn cotton ball.

What caused you to start writing? What was your key point? How do you describe writing / rp to others? What is your favorite canon muse? Who is your favorite OC? How do you create an OC? What are your steps for developing an OC? FC or story first when you develop an OC? What’s something you find weird on here? What are things that you don’t wish to see on here?

I've liked writing since a young age, and I think it was my love of reading which spurred my love of writing. But for RPing, someone was looking for someone to write Luna Lovegood from Harry Potter in an RP group on a seperate site (not Tumblr) when I was like 13. Seeing as she was my favorite character, I decided to do it. I went on to RP many many more muses on other sites before moving to Tumblr.

My favorite canon muse that I RP now is a tie between Ciri, The Thirteenth Doctor, Dany, and Arya. As for favorite muses I've RPed ever, I'd also add Clara Oswald, Luna, and Cinna from The Hunger Games to the list. I might just bring Clara back one day heheh. <3

My favorite OC is super hard to choose and changes all the time but at the moment, I'd say it's a tie between Persephone, Victoria, Alex, Hope, Farryn, and Esme. Also Aphrodite, she's just fun to play for some reason. LOL.

How I create an OC varies from muse to muse. Usually I'll think of a backstory and personality for them first, and then choose a FC. But sometimes I have a vague concept and pick a FC and then further develop the muse.

I'd say I develop my OCs just through RPing them. The more I RP them, the more I get to know them as a person. And hopefully that comes across. <3

Usually story first, or at least a vague idea of one. Then FC. But it depends on the muse TBH.

I find the focus on graphics for promos and icons weird. Like no hate to anyone who enjoys making pretty promos and icons. But it shouldn't be a requirement or that important, in my opinion. I think the writing is what really matters. And everything else is extra, you know? I also find some callouts (not the serious ones) weird, in that people will put like "ships thing I dislike" or "likes character I hate" as a serious offense, almost like it's bigotry. And I find that strange as well. If someone's being offensive in how they write a muse, by all means call that out. But just someone shipping a ship or liking a character, I don't think needs to be mentioned most of the time. (Unpopular opinion, maybe? IDK. LOL)

I don't really mind most things. But I have to say, I get somewhat annoyed when there are people who spend their time in OOC posts getting upset at other people for liking XYZ thing they don't like. I get the need to rant. I get it. There are plenty of things I dislike. But I feel like as a RPC, if someone plays a muse you dislike or ships something you don't like, just do your best to ignore it. Blacklist tags, unfollow/block people as needed. But making tons of posts about it won't change other people's minds. And might upset some RP partners who don't feel the same way. So I feel like, if someone likes something you dislike, feel free to vent about it if you need to. I'm not going to tell people what to do. But maybe keep it to a minimum, if you can.

Also, any callouts that are pretty much just the same thing. Like "don't follow this person they ship XYZ thing." or "they write this muse" or "they write XYZ problematic topic". And for the last one, I get it. There are topics I won't write. But I feel like it's each RPers job to curate their own blog. And like just don't follow people who write things you don't want to, ya know? Or if you do follow, make your boundaries clear in your rules. And if someone doesn't respect those boundaries? Block them. That, to me seems a lot healthier than calling people out for writing XYZ thing that you dislike or think is wrong. Obviously, if someone writes a muse in a way that's offensive to a marginalized group or something, and they don't listen to feedback, a callout would make sense. But let's say someone writes a ship someone thinks is unhealthy, or a muse someone thinks is a bad person (depending on what that entails, etc. Like if someone's writing a bigoted muse, it might be worth looking into etc. But it really depends on the muse and their story. At least for me.), or even writes a topic that would be wrong if it was IRL. As long as that person is not forcing anyone to write XYZ with them, I don't personally see the need for a callout in that case. But this might be an unpopular opinion as well. Personally, I prefer to focus on callouts where someone is being prejudiced or disrespecting people's boundaries, etc. rather than "they wrote icky things or things I dislike." Now if someone tries to force someone else to write things they don't want to, in that case a callout would be warranted. Like if someone made me write incest or abuse or rape in a thread. Now if I agreed to write such topics that would be a different story, but since it's in my rules that I don't, due to how triggering they can be to others, I would expect that to be respected. But if someone else WANTS to write a thread about any of those topics, while I would not personally do so, I do respect their right to write about it if and only if, everyone who's writing it with them genuinely wants to explore such dark things. In my opinion, writing should be a safe place to explore everything and anything without any people being harmed. But if people are forced to write topics they don't want to, then real people are being harmed, and I would support any callouts of that nature. I hope I'm making some kind of sense. LOL. And if anyone has any questions, feel free to ask. <3

Lemon and Cinna but make em ~magical~

Inspired by Cinna's post here: Click Me! This isn't a trick - Cinna requested that I (Bee) draw her as a magical girl! I decided to also draw Lemon as a magical boy, because...Siblins B) No anthro pony today, this is more along the lines of equestria girls, since i wanted this to look more anime and less MLP

🐝 Art rant, Design tips, and my thought process bc Cinna mentioned that Mocha struggles with outfit design:

Anime magical girls amiright? So, the design Mocha came up with was cute, I like the bright colors, an it gives off a lot of Star vs the forces of evil vibes. Im gonna be real clear here; this is not a diss on Mocha's magical girl design.

That being said, when I was drawing my version of magical girl Cinna I wanted her to look more anime magical girl, rather than SVTFOE. here were some things i kept in mind

Magical girls usually have one main color, with a few accent colors. Not always, but from what i've seen it's a really common design element that helps differentiate the characters and make them stand out within their show. This is especially the case with Magical girl shows that have a team of girls, and not just one girl. Things like Madoka Magica, Sailor moon, Most precure generations i've seen images of, Yuki yuna is a hero, etc.

Repeated patterns like polka dots or floral patterns, aren't common, but stripes (like along the edge of the skirt, or lining the bodice), and small accent designs ARE common.

Typically, magical girl outfits are very frilly and cutesy. Some would be more impractical in battle than others irl, but either way femininity and looking beautiful while still being super powerful is a big magical girl thing

I personally like looking at, drawing, and designing magical girls with more structured bodices, mock-corsets, or sort of armor(?) with short, flowy skirts. The illusion of practicality, if you will.

I didnt want to completely lose the stars and hearts that Mocha used in Cinna's original magical girl design, so I used those in her little accessories. I mostly kept the hair the same, it's very on-brand for magical girls. HOWEVER, I tweaked the purpley pinkish colors on the design to a darker reddish pink/magenta, since I felt that fit Cinna's coat color a little better. The colors in Mocha's design also heavily influenced what colors i picked for the final drawing.

Since Cinna's hair was made pink for this drawing, I decided to make her whole magical girl outfit be mostly pink. I used the blue and yellow from the pattern on her dress to determine what her accent colors would be. I struggled a little bit at first with color placement, but in the end I think it looks okay (if not a bit...easter-egg-y). If i were to redo this, i might ditch the yellow and just do pink and blue (excluding neutral tones).

Now for Lemon!

I wanted their outfit to contrast Cinna's. Since cinna has a lot of bright colors, I decided that Lemon was going to be restricted to red and yellow, with black making up most of the outfit. Also because Cinna has a very innocent outfit, that for the most part covers her pretty well, I gave Lemon a very revealing outfit.

Playing off of the structured bodices mentioned before, with mock-corsets n all that, i gave lemon a corset-inspired top that laces in the front instead of the back (Possibly both, since its not actually doing anything to compress). This allowed them to have an exposed chest and midriff. Since i wasnt giving Lemon their wings or feathers for this magical boy design, I decided to give them shoulder pads that resemble wings, and wing accessories on their corset and wand thing. The rest of the design was to mostly just to support the main aspects of the design and add visual flavor.

For the magical wand things, I just wanted something that went with the main outfits. Cinna's wand was inspired by the big ol staff she's holding in Mocha's drawing. Lemon's has a moon design to go with the black-heavy outfit, and wings for...obvious reasons. I imagine these could be used as wands for magical attacks, or the handles can be extended for swinging it around and whacking people.

Ooooh!! This is such a good question!!

Firstly, I adore Cinna! I think that he is such a fantastic, fascinating, and loving character. He is an absolute legend and deserves nothing but the best. I think that he most likely asked for District 12 before Katniss volunteered since I figure it takes awhile to design the outfits and what not, but I also think that him being inspired by Katniss isn't out o the question. I think Haymitch has always been on the books as an anti-capitol player and 12 has had a history of being on the rebellious side, so it makes sense for Cinna to find his rebellious spark (yes pun intended) in that district. Still, I think that upon seeing Katniss volunteer he knew he had a tribute he could count on and work with.

I think that Cinna's participation in the rebellion is one of the most interesting parts of the story. So, fun fact, I am a theatre person and absolutely love costumes. I've been thinking of taking whole classes on costumes and just the stories you can tell with them. So it is absolutely no surprise that I can go on absolute rants about how amazing the costumes in The Hunger Games are when it comes to not only fashion but symbolism and messaging. The power of Cinna (and Portia) is unreal. They can make Katniss and Peeta look like a team (even when they aren't on the same page), they can make them look innocent when the Capitol and Districts need to see them that way, they can portray them as powerful and daunting or sweet and approachable just with fabric and style choice, and they know how to make a statement. Cinna's Mockingjay dress is the main example of that, but all of the outfits in the series can fall under these categories. I seriously need to go look by look and do a deep dive of the costumes because I could go on forever about the absolute genius of these incredible outfits and costumes! Anyway, I love Cinna a lot.
