"How do I look?" Sunny tosses the perfectly sculpted curls in her hair once more, pouting in the dressing room mirror, making sure that not a strand was out of place.
"For the eighth time, you look great, as always." She stands, her red off-the-shoulder top accenting her white pencil skirt and perfect figure, she really did look gorgeous. "Great isn't enough. This is the first time I'm interviewing THE BTS. I need to look perfect."
"You do. I promise." You reassure with a comforting right hand on her shoulder while you center her necklace with your left. "Y/n, we need you out here to help set up." Your manager cracks the door open to call for you briefly before leaving.
"I still cannot believe you dragged me into this coffee girl job just for you to get close to Namjoon." Sunny's full lips stretch from ear to ear showing off her million-dollar smile, "What's so wrong about me wanting you nearby for emotional support? But at least I got you a job out of it, 3 weeks ago you were on the brink of poverty.'' Her arms crossed and you had to admit, she did have a point.
"What was the whole point of this again?" You simply had to ask, remembering the midnight phone call Sunny surprised you with about a month ago when she landed the Hybe interviewer position.
"Remember the story I told you about, in Junior year, me and this boy from math camp snuck out 6 miles away with fake IDs and got shitfaced at the nearest bar then hooked up but I never got his name and he was in the middle of signing my journal we were interrupted and I never saw him again until-"
"You saw Namjoon's face on a billboard in Seoul, and you took this opportunity to get close to see if it was him or not. Yes, I remember now, it's all coming back to me." You finish her story for her.
"Exactly, and-"
"--Y/n, sometime today would be great." Your manager interrupts once again and you leave, apologizing frantically for making them wait, not wanting to lose this job. It actually paid pretty well considering all you did was make drinks.
Walking out of the dressing room, ignoring the buzz in the back pocket of your jeans as you followed your manager to the coffee cart offset. Although from here you had a perfect view of where the interview would take place.
They set it up to be very stylish and modern with BTS albums and concept photos placed strategically around the set within the camera shot. Along with a small coffee table, one chair on one side where Sunny would sit and seven on the other side.
It almost gave you chills to think about. The fact that in a few moments, the most popular boy band in the continent would be sitting right there. All seven of them, including the tempting one.
The one who makes you stumble over your words every time he comes down to the first floor to get a coffee even though there's a gazillion other places to get something to drink in the building.
Every time you see him, he's displaying a new style. Sometimes he comes down stacked with complex layers of clothing and covered in jewelry, or with nothing more than a pair of sweatpants and a t-shirt, although the latter was possibly the worst of your few interactions. He's just so handsome, it made you want to squirm.
That day he was saying all the right things, yet saying nothing at all. Asking you simple questions like when you started working here, and if you liked coffee, meanwhile all you could mutter was an embarrassing 'yes'. What exactly you were saying yes to? You may never know.
You turned your back to the set and focused on making the pre-ordered drinks the members had sent down with their manager beforehand. By the time you turned back around Sunny was sitting in her place, anxious but ready.
You've been best friends since the 6th grade. She's incredibly outgoing and sociable, a balancing contrast to your more introverted nature although you could be a little extroverted with some alcohol in your system.
She was born for this job, you're sure she'll kill the interview. She mentioned that she'd bumped into a few of the members since she started working a month ago, but not Namjoon.
She definitely underestimated how hard it would be to 'bump' into a man who is guarded by security constantly and extremely busy, not to mention rarely in the country.
Hoseok was the first one to walk in, looking sharp as ever in casual attire but he he made it look incredible. Next was Jimin, and you noticed the way Sunny's eyes nearly widened when she finally saw Namjoon walk in behind Tae.
Finally, they were all inside and all greeted Sunny with a friendly hug and you can see she enjoyed her hug with Namjoon a little too much. Somehow finding something small to laugh about with him as they pulled away.
With an empty cup in your hand, you watched the most handsome group of men you've ever seen, file into the room and take a seat. "Go set these down before cameras start rolling." You feel a tap on your shoulder from another worker.
Did you zone out?
You placed a firm hand on your chest, taking a deep breath before placing a sturdy grip on the handles of the cart and bringing their beverages over. 'One foot in front of the other' you remind yourself, doing your best to ignore the feeling of their gazes turning to you as you got closer.
Unable to look any of them in the eyes as you set down their drinks on the table saying the name of each one so they know which one is theirs.
You could feel his gaze on you whilst Sunny got to witness it first hand from where she sat. The way his jaw slowly clenches with each passing moment, watching you with dark, intense eyes. In that moment, the world around him blurred, and all that remained was the captivating image of you.
It was while you were placing down the final cup that you felt bold enough to finally look up from the table, glancing at Jimin who was talking to Hoseok on his right. Slowly your line of sight inches up and over his head to Jungkook who was sitting on a taller chair behind him.
He was looking right at you.
And that was more than enough for you to return to the cart and retreat to your station. The boys reached for their cups as the countdown to the interview began.
You watched with engaged eyes from the sidelines as the interview began, going through basic introductions and standard questions, you were listening along to the jokes made along the way.
It seemed they were having a great time out there, but you couldn't focus on all of them for too long. You wouldn't be doing your duties as Sunny's best friend if you didn't watch Namjoon's every move; including how he seemed to be the first one to answer almost any of her questions.
The questions were flying by and the discussion was so entertaining to watch but it was over before you even registered it. Sure, cameras had stopped rolling but they were all still talking.
You felt another buzz in your pocket, finally deciding to check.
Daehyun: Are you still mad? It's been 2 days, you're being dramatic. 12:02 pm
Daehyun: Why aren't you answering my texts? 1:12 pm
Daehyun: Fine. Keep ignoring me. Real mature, Y/n. 1:13 pm
You scoff at the messages.
Unbelievable.
Your boyfriend has left you astonished. Again!
You put your phone back on silent, secretly wishing you'd never checked it in the first place. Muttering under your breath about what a jerk he's been to you lately but you stop yourself. Because he's still your boyfriend, and sure, he fucked up a few times, bad. It doesn't change the fact that you're in a relationship with him.
If you could even call it that.
You've slept together twice. Well- 1.5 times if you wanted to get specific. The second time was so bad that you simply had to stop it altogether and make up some excuse so that you didn't hurt his feelings.
Shaking him out of your head and focusing back on your task at hand which was collecting the empty mugs from the table. Repeating the same process as before, avoiding all eye contact, but this time you didn't look up.
You didn't bother because you already knew he was watching you.
You were intimidated but you weren't oblivious.
-
"Y/n! Y/n! Y/n!" You hear her from around the corner before you see her running towards you at your coffee station on the first floor. Sunny was practically bursting. You would think that she had captured the sun between her hands but it was something that would take your life for a spin, but you didn't know that yet.
"You're interview went so well!" You slip in your comment first knowing that once she says whatever she has to say, it'll go on for years.
"I know right! After you left to pack up, I was still talking to the guys and they really seemed to like me so they invited me and any +1 I want to invite on their weekend in Vegas trip tomorrow night! All expenses paid for!" Jaw-dropping wasn't the word. Knee buckling may be a better fit as you had quite literally stumbled and dropped a mug, thankfully it didn't break.
"No. No no no." You say, backing up and her entire demeanour deflated like a devastated puppy. "Why not?" You lean in close, whispering, "Because Jungkook is gonna be there--" She interrupts you, practically exploding with emotions. "Oh my god, he wants you so bad. Did you see the way he was looking at you?!" She whisper shouts.
"I know!" you plain shout out, realizing your volume needed adjusting and leaning forward onto the counter. "But he's Jeon Jungkook and I have Daehyun-" The most disgusted look runs across Sunny's face.
"I cannot believe you are even comparing the two right now. You said it yourself, one is Jeon Jungkook, and the other is Daehyun, a man you should've left in the dust months ago." Here we go again, you sigh.
"C'mon Y/n. He's an asshole, he's childish, he's bad in bed and honestly, the list should end there but no, he humiliated you in front of your family and he was caught in your sister's dm's on Christmas!!"
"It's May for god's sake and he's still stressing you out, and seeing you stressed makes me stressed. So why don't you come tomorrow, I'll keep you away from Jungkook if it comes to that, but please, you need to let loose a little and forget about him for just the weekend." She begs.
She could see you were starting to consider it.
"Please?" She pouts, giving you those same puppy eyes that convinced you to work here in the first place. "Please don't look at me like that, stop." You try to avoid her sorrowful gaze but It's like it intensifies to a point where you just can't look away, nor can you deny.
"Fine, fine. Okay, I'll go."
--
Considering you only just found out you were leaving the country yesterday, you think you did pretty good packing light but efficiently.
That's what you were thinking as you stepped behind Sunny onto the empty private jet. She'd already made arrangements to sit beside Namjoon.
She was crazy but you had to give the girl credit, she worked fast.
You weren't taking in a single thing, part of you was still in disbelief you had even seen the boys up close and personal yesterday.
This would all sink in for you in 5 years and then you'll be hit with a numbing regret of not doing things differently.
Or maybe it'll sink in for you right now, Jimin's full head of brown wavy hair is the first one you see to pop up on the plane and he flashes you a kind smile, taking a seat beside you.
He introduces himself as if you and half the world don't already know him but you engage anyway, giving him your name and the rest is history.
The flight was 11 hours so there was a lot of ground to cover between the two of you for the first 6 hours. Jimin was just such an easy person to open up with, any time you said something crazy you felt like he would have an even crazier story of his own to share.
He'd told you all about his first impressions of the guys to his first scandal that the label somehow managed to cover up because even you were in shock. It would have been over for him.
Then it was your turn, telling him about your exhausting boyfriend since it all started seven months ago.
"On Christmas?!" He shouts, "Why are you with him again?" You groan, "God you sound just like Sunny!"
The two of you were clearly enjoying your conversation while Sunny worked on getting Namjoon to talk a little bit about his past, trying to see if he really was the boy from all those years ago, but he seemed occupied reading his book and she wasn't going to interrupt him any longer. She sighs softly, looking out the window, watching the clouds fly by like art.
Meanwhile, at the front of the jet, Jungkook typed away on his laptop, sometimes blurbing some possible lyrics, but mostly keeping himself busy with a thousand rounds of Tetris. He tuned out the sound of your angelic laughter with his headphones, but it couldn't stop him from glancing to the back of the plane where you sat with Jimin every so often.
Only about an hour left before you landed and you really needed to pee but Jimin was in the way and fast asleep. You looked around, it seemed that everyone was fast asleep, but you really had to go.
Lightly tapping Jimin and asking him to let you through, he moves, half awake, just giving you enough time to pass before going back to his original position.
You exited the bathroom, nearly falling to the ground in horror when you came face to face with the man you'd nearly forgotten was on the jet. He smiles that classic bunny smile that the fans go crazy over.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you." He says it so sweetly, and in this hushed tone due to the late hour of the night it was making your head think things. Things that you should not be thinking about.
"You okay?" Checking in, seeing that you seemed to have zoned out mid-conversation. Shit. You were doing it again. "Y-yeah." You hated speaking to him it made you feel like you couldn't speak at all. He was just so tall, and his eyes were so big and endearing and-
"Really? Cause it looks like you've got something on your mind." It comes out in such a way that brings heat to your face, suddenly hyper-aware that everyone is asleep, and the two of you are out of sight in the narrow hall of the bathroom.
"Yeah, just excited for tomorrow." You lie, you felt sick to your stomach. He made you sick to your stomach. He gets a little closer, now close enough for you to be able to smell the soft cologne on his clothes. "What's got you so excited?"
It felt like you were watching yourself fall from the sky, it was slow but graceful, but you knew once you hit the bottom, things would get ugly. So you grew wings. "My boyfriend. We're planning on Facetiming tomorrow." It was like a repellant, the way he stepped back.
"Oh, that's nice." He mumbles and you take this opportunity to run back to your seat, hopping over Jimin and strapping yourself back in your seat, shaking your head over and over again.
This was a bad idea. You should not have come on this trip.
-
"She has a fucking boyfriend." Is the first thing Jungkook says to Yoongi and Jimin while the three sit in the back of the taxi that is en route to the hotel. Yoongi wasn't listening, still half asleep after only waking up 30 minutes ago. He would need a repeat of it all tomorrow.
"Pfft. Barely." Jimin mumbles. Triggering quite possibly the fasted head turn known to mankind, Jungkook looks at him with intrigue, "What do you mean by that."
"He's an asshole. Like a literal piece of shit, but she's still with him for whatever reason. It's gotta be Stockholm syndrome." Jimin shrugs. "But you can't tell her I told you this, I think she's pretty cool, so before you get your dick wet, think with your head first."
Yoongi hums in agreement with that one statement. He may be asleep but he knows a good statement when he hears one.
-
Jungkook did think. He thought about you all night. From the cab to the hotel, until he fell asleep and again when he woke up. Sure, you had a boyfriend, but it sounds like you shouldn't be with him, or at least deserved someone better.
The morning sun seeps through the curtains, casting a warm glow on the lavish surroundings. You and Sunny share a glance, a silent acknowledgment of the incredible experience that awaits. Or at least that's what Sunny thinks.
Instead, you retreat under the covers of your bed with an unpleasant sound. "How could I let you bring me here." Your voice is muffled and scratchy from it being the morning still. "Because you love me." She runs from her bed and jumps onto yours.
"Should we get room service?" She proposes and you slowly pull the covers down, revealing an interested expression. "Who's paying?" You ask. "Who cares! It's not us." She springs up and bounces for the phone.
By the late afternoon, you'd gotten an invite from Jimin, inviting you guys down to the pool, it was reserved just for them. "We're going, this isn't up for debate, Y/n. You said you would relax on this trip, so it's my job to make sure you do!" She pulls out the violet two-piece you'd packed in your luggage and shoves you into the bathroom, throwing the clothes in there with you after and shutting the door.
"I hate you y'know," you say from the other side of the door.
"You'll thank me one day, Y/n. One day."
-
There was a roar of cheers from the guys as the two of you walked into sight, the sun was beaming down on you and you were glad you brought your sunscreen.
Jungkook tried to be respectful to the sham of a relationship you were in but what was he supposed to do? You looked so hot in your bathing suit, you were so small but you still had curves in all the right places.
He just wanted to break you in half. Pin you down and-
A splash of water hits him in the face, "Stop eye fucking her and act like you've been neutered for once." Yoongi warns, swimming away before Jungkook could retaliate.
Jin calls Sunny into the water, and she just about jumped in while you were working on unwrapping your new bottle of sunscreen. Jungkook uses this as an opportunity. Looking down at the white shirt that was now soaked through, sticking to his abs he slowly steps out of the water.
Looking you right in the eyes as you shook the bottle. Now you were staring but you didn't care. You were looking at the son of Adonis, or maybe the god himself.
In the warm glow of the poolside sun, Jungkook emerged from the sparkling water, droplets cascading down his glistening skin. The pool's rippling surface bore witness to his athletic grace as he approached the pool chair where you reclined, still shaking the bottle.
His steps were confident, each one leaving a trail of water on the tiles beneath his feet. As he neared, he held your gaze with an intense, playful glint in his eyes. The air between you became charged with a magnetic energy, and a sly smile played on his lips.
With deliberate movements, Jungkook reached down to the hem of his white shirt, clinging to his sculpted physique. The fabric peeled away, revealing the contours of his toned abs. Beads of water followed the curves of his body, accentuating every defined muscle.
As the shirt came off, the sunlight caught on the droplets clinging to his skin, creating an ethereal effect. The sensual eye contact between the two of you intensified, creating a moment suspended in time. The poolside ambiance seemed to hush, allowing the connection between them to take center stage.
Your fist clenched, the sunscreen blurted out of the bottle, some landing on the smooth skin of your thigh but most hit the chair.
Jungkook's expression hinted at a playful confidence, acknowledging the allure of the moment. Your little accident told him all he needed to know. You wanted him.
Even if you didn't know it yet.
Wiping desperately at the sunscreen that had landed on you, a bigger hand comes to help. Gently rubbing the soft flesh of your thigh, Jungkook was crouched to your level with nothing more than a sincere smile as he helped you with your sunscreen.
Your mouth gaped like a fish out of water as you watched him from beside yourself. Unable to believe what was happening. You could feel your heart beating in your ears, and other places but you shook your head.
"Wh-what-" Jungkook looks up to you, moving his hand away. "My bad. I didn't mean to overstep, I just noticed that you'd spilt some of your sunscreen," He inches just a little closer so that you looked down at him from where you sat on your chair. "I'd hate for it to go to waste."
That mischievous tongue of his makes an appearance briefly as it swipes over his bottom lip before retreating; leaving behind glossy plump lips. It's not what he says, but how he says it.
Almost as though he wanted you to break.
You hated how he made you feel without saying anything out of the ordinary.
"You have to be shitting me," Yoongi curses to no one in particular as he watches Jungkook lean up towards you from where he was floating in the pool on the flamingo inflatable.
"You've gotta admit, the boy's determined." Jin adds while Hoseok shakes his head, "He just doesn't know when to give up."
--
Opening your hotel room door to see Jimin leaning against the wall waiting for you. He looked incredible in his black button-up with the sleeves rolled to the elbows. His hair swooped to perfection.
"About time." He kicks himself off the wall as you scoff, "Don't blame me, blame the dress." Your freshly manicured nail points to the red, velvet dress that left your chest exposed before it went under the halter neckline.
There was so much skin offered to anyone that looked at you. You looked absolutely stunning. The way the dress clung tightly to your curves was almost ungodly but made you seem even more angelic.
Twirling on your toes slowly to showcase the full rotation of your outfit and Jimin failed to suppress his gasp. The back- Your back was completely exposed safe for where the halter crossed behind your neck.
"You look hot, and I'm not just saying that." You grin, leading the way to the elevator and waiting for it to come up.
While you were watching the elevator screen, Jimin was watching you. Not lustfully or anything since he really did see the two of you becoming close friends in the future but his gaze was full of.. fear?
Jungkook was going to eat you alive tonight, and he was willing to put money on it.
The man has been able to show limited amounts of self-control since the trip began, and his little shirtless stunt at the pool earlier that day was proof.
The elevator dings and the doors open.
You step in, hearing your phone vibrating from within your maroon chain side bag. Digging through your various lipsticks, mini perfumes and hair pins you finally grab your buzzing device.
Daehyun: When did you go to Vegas?? and how did you get there? 4:33 pm
Daehyun: Baby, I'm sorry. I mean it. Stop Ignoring me. (now) 8:12 pm
You sigh, scrolling through your messages sadly. "Am I being too hard on him?" Jimin leans over to look at the messages, his face turning sour at Daehyun's messages. "I bet you he doesn't even know what he's apologizing for."
The elevator doors close, and Jimin presses the star symbol for the nightclub on the first floor where you would meet the others.
Shaking your head repeatedly, "No. That's impossible. He knows, Jimin. Trust me." He doesn't seem convinced in the slightest,
"Okay. Since you're so sure-" He snatched your phone from your grasp, his fingers moving at the speed of light and you panicked, reaching for the device but he held it high. "Jimin No-!"
"I said 'What are you apologizing for'. I won't send it if you don't want me to. But It seems like he's only apologizing because he knows he's in the wrong, but doesn't know what for."
The elevator dings, going down floor by floor, the silence slowly creeping up on you, "Send it." You say, and his thumb hits send.
The doors open.
You and Jimin step out into the club. Before you sprawled a vast expanse of vibrant colours. Neon lights adorned the walls, casting a kaleidoscope of hues that danced in rhythm with the music.
The dance floor, surrounded by elevated platforms and VIP booths, was the epicentre of the vibrant spectacle. Mirrored ceilings multiplied the dazzling display, creating a sense of endless sin.
"Do you know where they are?" You ask while Jimin leads the way into the crowd of hot bodies and blasting music, he glances down to the text from Tae, "Tae said they're in section 9." Maneuvering your way through the swarm of people until you meet up with the others.
Jimin walked up the steps first, the group's cheers blending in with the roars coursing throughout the rest of the club as he joined them with you closely behind, the cheers continuing for you with whistles once you reached the platform.
"Oh shit!" Sunny curses, rushing to your side to shower you with compliments. "I guess being 30 minutes late pays off, you look great." Tae welcomes you with a side hug and an invitation to sit beside him.
"You need to cool it." Jin pulls Jungkook in by the collar so that he could hear him over the music. Jungkook finally pulls his hungry gaze off of you and looks to his elder.
"You're making it way obvious, and obvious is not what you want. She has a boyfriend. There are hundreds of other girls here, find someone else." He lets him go and Jungkook shakes his head.
How Jin even found out that you had a boyfriend didn't phase him. The seven of them were as close as brothers, it was hard for him and Jimin to keep anything to themselves.
Hundreds of girls but they weren't you. He couldn't just switch it on and off. This wasn't as fun and playful as it once was before, he was starting to get addicted to the thought of you.
"You have any pre-rolls on you?" Jungkook leans over to Namjoon who was deep into a conversation with Sunny. Namjoon reaches inside the pocket of his blazer, "Never leave home without them."
"Great. I need a smoke." Jungkook huffs, standing, purposefully avoiding your gaze. God you looked so fucking fine in that dress, it made him crazy, sick to his stomach.
He's Jeon Jungkook for god's sake.
The concept of want is so unfamiliar to him. Any girl he wants could easily be in his bed the same day, but you-- he shakes his head bitterly-- you were giving him a hard time, all over what? some lame-ass boyfriend.
"Namjoon you comin' ?" He looks over his shoulder to see both him and Sunny standing, "Mind if I join?" She asks, "The more the merrier."
You watched as the three of them disappeared into the bustling crowd vanishing out of sight. "Where did they go?"
Tae leans forward looking at where the trio had just walked through. "Probably went to go ball up." Tae shrugs, "Which means it's time to really get this night started. First round on me."
It wasn't until three shots later when Jungkook had finally come back, this was the first time you really got a good look at him. He was wearing nothing but a black jacket that had the most delicate body chains striping across his abdomen, giving you a clear view of his sculpted abs and-
Your phone buzzes.
You: Why are you apologizing? 8:13 pm
Daehyun: Because you're upset. (now) 9:27 pm
God, Jimin might be right. He doesn't have a clue.
You: Do you even know why I'm mad? 9:27 pm
Daehyun: Is it because of the nudes I sent Soo-Min? I was drunk, I promise. It was a mistake. 9:28 pm
You gasp. You had no idea what he was talking about. You were referring to him standing you up when you told all your family that he would be coming. You never knew this had even happened.
You: What the fuck are you talking about? 9:29 pm
You: I cannot believe you right now. 9:29 pm
You: Stop fucking texting me. 9:30 pm
You weren't even sad or disappointed. You were used to him letting you down constantly. "Looks like you need another shot." You look up from the screen in your lap, making eye contact with ringed fingers wrapped around a shot glass with your name on it.
You take the shot in your own grasp, looking Jungkook in the eyes as you down it. Your face wincing a little at the burn in the back of your throat but you were beginning to feel that exciting warmth in your chest.
The strobe lights turn red as Chris Brown's Take You Down begins to play through the loud speakers all around the club. "Wanna dance?" He offered you his hand, your brain was a little hazy and your cheeks were flushed but Jungkook was too hot to resist.
"Love to."
The two of you walk off to the dance floor with the rest of the crowd.
Taehyung looks to Jin who looks to Hoseok who looks to Yoongi.
Yoongi sighs, shaking his head slowly taking another shot. "It's out of my control. Once they step on that floor, their fate is sealed."
It's true, the moment Jungkook's hands were on your hips that swayed to the music you knew you were screwed. You had every right to be apprehensive about going on this stupid trip in the first place, but deep down you knew it was inevitable.
This very moment was destined from the start.
"You look fucking perfect tonight." He whispers in your ear from behind you, subconsciously pushing your hips back on him and Jungkook could swear he's never wanted someone as badly as he wanted you at this very moment.
"Says you," You spin in his hold, now face to face.
His grip on your hips tighten, body unable to maintain its façade for much longer. Your hair was up in a bun tonight, showing off the industrial piercing he never even knew you had.
There were so many things he wanted to know about you, and not just physically. He wanted to be able to sit with you over a cup of coffee and talk about everything and anything.
His tight hold on you prompted a breathless whine to escape your lips but he heard it. "Stop it." He says and your eyebrows scrunch, genuinely confused. "Stop what?"
"Stop tempting me. I'm trying to be respectful." Astonishment wipes over your features. "You're telling me to stop? It's been you all along, making me trip over my words, and being so shirtless and hot all the time, making me forget I have a boyfriend." He chuckles.
"So you admit it. You think about me too?"
You step back.
"Yes, Jungkook. I cannot stop thinking about you and that's my problem. I need to get you out of my head." Your mouth was saying one thing, but with the way he was looking at you, your heart wanted him between your legs.
The almost forgotten feeling of lust finally coursed through your veins. It'd been so long since you'd gotten any action, you needed this.
But you couldn't.
He steps towards you, even closer than before. You could feel his firm body crowding against your own. The way he towered over you made you feel dizzy. He leaned down, ensuring that you could feel his warm breath on the shell of your ear when he spoke "Tell me you don't want me and I'll walk away."
You don't want him. you lie to yourself.
Trying to put these thoughts into words, your mouth opens.
"I need you, Jungkook." Finally admitting it.
There was no going back now, his lips crashed against yours with nothing less than an animalistic desire. It was fast-paced and messy but you loved it.
The dam finally broke.
You kissed with more than your lips, his hands on your waist, squeezing tight as he rolled his hips into you with the rhythm of the music.
This was so so wrong, but it felt so right.
The way his tongue rolled over your bottom lip with such skill made your thighs clench, you could only imagine the things he could do with it--
"Y/n!" Sunny screams your name from behind you, not even processing what you and Jungkook had just been doing while Namjoon was busy enjoying the music behind her.
You turned around, a little breathless and bothered after being disrupted but you were immediately occupied with analyzing Sunny's appearance. For starters her hair was ruffled and looked like it'd been put through the wringer, her lipstick (what was left of it) was fading and a little smudged.
And last that you checked she was wearing lashes when the night began but they were nowhere to be found. "Sunny where did you go-- Oh my god- Did you and Namjoon-" Her non-stop nodding causes you to clasp your hand over your mouth.
"It's him! He remembers me!" The two of you have your moment, squealing before Jungkook whispers in your ear. "Meet me at the elevator in 5." Sunny actually does catch on this time.
"Oh my god!? Are you gonna-"
You think about it, "I don't know!! Should I?! Daehyun just voluntarily admitted to sending nudes to Soo-Min god knows when and-" Sunny groans. "Leave him, for the love of god y/n stand up!" She yells.
"I can't just leave him he's my boyfriend, and it wouldn't make me any better than him." Sunny's eyes roll. "It won't be cheating if you plan on breaking up with his ass tonight. Just hurry up and decide, Jungkook's waiting for you." She winks and it gives you butterflies.
He was waiting for you.
The moment you turned the corner of the hallway, you saw Jungkook waiting outside the elevator as he said he would be, finally pressing the button. "I was afraid you wouldn't come," he laughs internally to himself at the double entendre, knowing Jungkook's track record, this has never been an issue for him.
The two of you step inside the elevator, it would be a long ride up to the 21st floor, the two of you did your best to stay to your respective sides of the elevator until there was a crowd of people that entered as well, pushing you into him.
Completely oblivious to the way your ass was pressed flush against his crotch, he looks up to the ceiling, wondering what he'd done in his past life to deserve this kind of punishment.
A beautiful girl pressed up against him but he couldn't do anything. As the crowd moved, so did you he hisses and your body stills, finally aware of what you were doing.
On the 13th floor the elevator empties completely, leaving just the two of you and you try to move away from him but his grip holds you in place. "Didn't think you'd be running from me so soon." You'd never heard his voice like this. It was deeper, bass full of wants and desires,
He spins you around, he had you cornered.
Looking up to him with that doe gaze of yours. His index finger gently rests under your chin, your gaze was practically begging him to kiss you, but in case he was hesitating you nodded just a little, permitting him to open your lips with his.
This kiss was a lot slower and deeper than the one before. It was soft and sweet, but slowly turned into a full-blown make-out session by the time the elevator made it to the 21st floor.
He leads the way to his room at the end of the hall, beside Hoseok's room.
Jungkook worked on unlocking the door while you chewed on the tip of your acrylic. Were you really about to do this?
"I'm going in my room, and you don't have to follow, but I'm leaving the door unlocked." He says, disappearing behind the door. Looking over your shoulder, your room was 4 doors down.
You could still back out now, it wasn't too late.
All you would need to do is have a long talk with Daehyun.
You scoff, even his name irritated you. Your heart knew things weren't going to work out between the two of you once you got back home, regardless of whether you slept with Jungkook or not.
He's broken your trust far too many times, and besides, Sunny was right, he is an asshole.
You walk into Jungkook's room and make sure to lock the door behind you.
"That's my girl," He purrs as he steps towards you, taking your face in his hands before gracing you with a heated kiss, the kind of kiss that made you stumble as he walked you back to the door.
"Hope you put that phone on dnd." He whispers, kissing down your neck, skillfully managing to take your hair down at the same time. You looked like the epitome of sin, hair falling over your shoulders as if it fell from grace while your neck was littered with hickeys, your plump bottom lip tugged between those perfect teeth of yours.
Your dress was the first thing to go, he loved it on you, but it served its purpose, and it did it well. Soon his jacket was finally off revealing his muscular build that you'd seen in the fan cams but it couldn't compare to the real thing.
You kissed him back desperately as your legs were wrapped around his waist while he made his way to the bed, dropping you down to your back watching the way you bounced.
Your perfect tits are the first victim of his passionate affection. Leaving tender kisses on the soft flesh, "Jungkook-" you gasp feeling him wrap his lips around your nipples, tongue working hard to push you towards that edge that you'd been inching closer to since you got in here.
He groans as he feels your hands roam over his back, anticipating the feeling of your nails scratching his skin. Finally moving down from your breasts once they were covered with his kisses and hickeys.
You could feel yourself practically soaking through your under, not to mention the way it was sticking to you. "Looks like someone's worked up," he teases, slowly peeling you out of your ruined underwear.
"What's got you so hot and bothered, is it your boyfriend?" You sit up so fast almost getting a head rush and he laughs. "Jungkook." You say and he gives you a look of lust. "What? Say it baby, use your words. Tell me who makes you this wet. Is it me or him?"
You press your legs together, unable to believe that this was turning you on more. "He couldn't turn me on." He looks up to you with wide eyes. "Is that so?" Nodding your head slowly, letting Jungkook gently push you back down to the bed.
On his knees he takes a deep breath at your core, a guttural sound rumbling in his chest as he was face to face with your dripping core. "So you're saying it's me?" he asks, letting his tongue run a flat stripe against your soaked folds.
"YES! It's you Jungkook please, stop teasing, please I can't take it. I'm already so close." You beg, body thrashing around enough for him to pin your legs over his shoulder and to keep you still.
You were stroking his ego, telling you you were already so close and he's barely touched you. Your boyfriend must've been shit in bed, and he was determined to make it up to you. He was going to show you what you've been missing.
Finally eating you out to his heart's content, ignoring the way your feet continued to move frantically over his shoulders he lapped up at your core, flicking his tongue over your clit until your body spasmed uncontrollably. "I'm-" Unable to even finish the sentence before you were blinded by an earth-shattering orgasm.
It ripped through you like a storm and came squirting out of you just like one too. "You've got to fucking kidding me," Jungkook murmurs to himself and you froze. Was he mad?
He stands up, "Of course the hottest girl I've ever seen squirts on my tongue. Good fucking hell, Y/n. It's like you want me obsessed with you." Who was he kidding, he was already obsessed.
He picked you up so carelessly, bringing you to the balcony where it overlooked the Las Vegas strip. You could see the hotel's illuminated pool and all the car lights as they zoomed on the highway far in the distance.
"Hope you're not scared of heights."
Your stomach twisted at the thought of being so high up, but it was all forgotten once your leg was propped up and you felt your folds being prodded open by the fat head of Jungkook's cock.
"No- fuck! Wait." you cursed feeling him push in just the tip, the sweet burn of his size nearly causing you to fall but he held you steady against the railing, bulging biceps on either side of your body, caging you in safely.
Jungkook knew better, this should be the last place he should be doing something like this but with your pretty ass right in front of him it was such a beautiful sight, and the scenery was cool too.
"It's too much," you pant, arms bracing yourself on the fence that kept you from falling 200 feet below. "It's only the tip baby, you sure you can take the whole thing?" You pause in thought, you needed him, all of him. "I can take it. keep going." You say and he pushes in slowly, feeling his cock fill up every nook and cranny of your womb.
It felt like he was in your lungs, you were knocked breathless, and he didn't move. Your body went limp in his arms, exactly what he feared would happen. He quite literally split you open, but you were determined to take it.
You clawed at the railing desperately, looking for any kind of relief from what you were feeling. "Deep breaths baby, I'll go slow." You nod, eyes squeezed shut as his hips slowly roll back pulling out about halfway before rocking back in.
"Oo-oh. fuck. Jungkook, keep going." you moan, head falling onto your hands; feeling what was once pain morphs into an addicting, sweet pleasure, over time his pace picks up until he was fucking into you with no remorse.
Even if no one could see you from this high up, they sure as hell could hear you. The way you cried out his name like a prayer over and over while Jungkook's brain was short-circuiting with the sight of you creaming on his dick and the obscene sounds it created.
"Does your boyfriend fuck you like this, huh?" He angles his hips, resuming his brutal pace even though you've already come twice now. Your body jolts with each snap of his hips.
You shake your head, but that isn't enough for him, flipping you around so that you're facing him, he pushes himself back in, your eyes fluttering shut almost immediately.
"Use your words Y/n. You're my smart girl, look me in the eyes and tell me that your boyfriend could never fuck you like I do." Your eyes snap open, "He c-could never fuck-!" Jungkook slowed down his thrusts to something so much deeper, your eyes rolled and Jungkook nearly came just at the sight.
"Shit, I'm gonna come." He pants, and with a few more erratic thrusts you feel his warm cum fill you up. He slowly lets you stand but your legs fail you immediately. Scooping you up in his arms effortlessly he brings you to the bed, clearly not done with you.
That's how you found yourself on the brink of your third orgasm while Jungkook plowed into you from behind, obsessed with how his cum seeped out of you and around his cock.
Your arms had given out long ago hence why your cheek was smushed into the sheets of the bed while you whimpered like a whore. "God you should look at yourself," He laughs almost maniacally from behind you.
Feeling himself approach his climax, "Jungkook- please!" you cried out, the friction only adding to the stimulation, "m' gonna-" you try to get back up on your arms but you couldn't move.
"I wonder what your boyfriend would say if he saw you like this,'' A wicked smile spreads across his lips as he reaches for your phone that was forgotten somewhere on the bed, hitting record.
Pulling you up onto your arms, tugging your hair by a makeshift ponytail, the flash highlights the various bruises all over your body left by yours truly. The audio was picking up his soft groans and your pathetic whimpers, and if the room was quiet enough you could probably hear the welt squelch of your cunt sucking in his length with each push.
"Shit, shit, shit!" You cry out, coming once more and your body goes limp, Jungkook ends the recording and tosses the phone to the side while he chases his own high finishing soon after you.
He pulls out slowly, "Y/n, baby? Are you with me?" He taps your cheek gently, and your eyes barely open, "I think you fucked the soul out of me," He dares to flash you a nervous smile as if he hadn't just fucked you dumb.
"Come, let's get you cleaned up."
-
"That was one hell of a trip." You mumble to Sunny on the phone as you wheel your suitcase down the hall to the door of your apartment where there was a big bouquet of flowers.
"Oh my god," You say, crouching down, wincing a little as you did to read the card. "What?" Sunny asks and you explain what you were seeing.
"Do you think they're from Daehyun?" You scoff, "Fat chance."
You open the envelope to read the card aloud,
'To the hottest girl. We should get donuts sometime, I heard you like them cream-filled ;) Text me sometime xxx-xxx-xxx. -J.K'
Sunny squealed in your ear.
"I'll call you back." You say, dialling Jungkook's number.
"Hello?" He answers.
"You got me flowers?" You couldn't stop the smile from spreading across your face, and he could hear it. He closed his fridge and leaned on the counter, "You like 'em?"
Holding the vase in your hand you take a deep sniff, "I love them."
He shakes his head. "This is so sad. You're too easy to impress. Let me treat you better than that jerk, Y/n." Your mouth falls open-
"How- What?"
"Jimin mentioned the details to me but don't get mad at him; it doesn't change the fact that the guy is an asshole." You sigh.
"I know."
"So?" Jungkook starts, waiting for you to say something.
"I think you mentioned something about cream-filled donuts. When and where?"
He smiles.

Chapter 1: Join the Dark Side
Eddie made his way through the hallway. The chain on his jeans clinked with each step– steps, which in turn echoed through the empty corridor. It was an hour before Hellfire would start, so obviously, none of the other members had arrived at the school yet, and everyone else was most likely across campus, on the bleachers watching whatever sports game was happening that evening. So no one would be in this part of the school.
That’s what Eddie thought, at least.
He opened the heavy doors to the drama room. It had become an unofficial meet-up spot for Hellfire, primarily because of all the props that the Drama club had left behind from earlier productions. His favourite, of course, had become the large throne he liked to sit in whilst in the game.
Most days, whenever he could, Eddie would be sure to come at least an hour earlier just to finalise the specifics of the upcoming session. Of course, he had planned the entirety of the campaign months in advance, as he liked to put details in to bring back in the later sessions, but he was a perfectionist. He would spend the upcoming hour setting up his place at the table with all the books and files he had made for the forthcoming story. He would reread his notes, perhaps add in something he had thought of at the moment or cut something out he had doubts about. So, easy to say, he needed that extra hour before game time.
But when he walked into the drama room, he noticed something was off, as the lights in the room were on. Not the usual dimmed ones the club uses, but the bright overhead lighting gave the entire room a yellow and artificial glow.
He noticed you. Sitting on the ground against the wall, a large book in your lap, absolutely absorbed in it. To the extent that you didn’t see or even notice him walking up to you. Only when he said “Hi” did you scream and jump up.
‘Woah, sorry,’ he chuckled, ‘didn’t mean to scare you.’
‘No, it’s fine,’ you coughed, closing your book quickly, trying to stuff it into your bag. But Eddie had already seen the title, and his interest peaked.
‘Is that… the Basic Set?’ He pointed at the Dungeons and Dragons rulebook you were holding, the giant dragon on the cover not really allowing you to deny it.
‘Uhm, yeah, I was just… I don’t know.’ You pushed it into your backpack, zipping it up quickly. ‘I should go anyway; the game is gonna start soon, so…’ you trailed off, not having anything else to add. You just got up, threw the backpack over your shoulder and walked past Eddie, leaving him dazed and confused. Only when you were almost at the door did he speak up.
‘You´re y/n, right?’
‘yeah,’ you answered. You didn’t need to ask him back. If the Hellfire Club shirt and the untamed hair hadn’t been enough of a giveaway, maybe the smell of weed would have been. Though no one would admit it, everyone at Hawkins High knew Eddie Munson. One way or another. Maybe just in the passing of conversation, but that guy was infamous around your school. You had never talked to him, properly, before that moment, for various reasons, mostly because of what you had heard about him from your friends. It was better to not hang around the likes of him and his other freak friends.
So, when he walked up closer to you, you could feel your heart pounding faster and faster. You told yourself, there was nothing to be scared of. He was just a guy… a very attractive one, at that. You couldn’t lie to yourself. Something about him appealed to you; even if every cell in your body told you it was wrong, you were attracted to him. And maybe that was the reason your curiosity with this game of his had started.
It started, to be exact, during a certain lunch period. You were walking towards your locker to put away your books from the earlier classes and retrieve your lunch to eat outside. Eddie had been standing only a few feet away when you reached the spot. He was talking to someone, both of them wearing identical Hellfire shirts. As you unlocked your locker, you couldn’t help but listen to what they were talking about. Now, you couldn’t remember what the conversation was about anymore, but they had mentioned stuff that sounded just like a fantasy book or movie. Something that, unknown to your friends, you had seen and read a lot of. It was such an easy way to escape from the hell living in Hawkins.
Hearing them talk about it for the extended time needed to get your lunch out of your locker was enough for you to get hooked. You weren’t sure what exactly, but you were intrigued by the idea. A quick search in the yearbook for their little “Hellfire Club” told you enough. It was a Dungeons and Dragons club.
A few weeks later, when you finally made an excuse for your friend not to hang out, you went to the library and to your surprise, found an entire dust-covered shelf filled with manuals and rulebooks. You had no real intention of playing, but just wanted to know what the whole thing was about.
That led you to the Drama club classroom an hour before the big game, catching some alone time to read a few more pages of the book. You hadn’t even realised you had trespassed into the unofficial Hellfire lair.
Eddie had crossed the room now. He had his arms crossed, tapping his fingers on his bicep.
‘Would you– are you interested in playing?’
‘No,’ you said, probably too quickly. Not intending to insult him, you corrected yourself, ‘I just… was just reading into it. Don’t really know how to play.’
‘I can teach you,’ he smiled. ‘It’s not that hard, especially if you’ve got the background information already,’ he cocked his head in the direction of your backpack.
‘No, I don’t want to bother you–’
‘I didn’t mean now, if that’s what you were going for. I’ve got a campaign to run.’ He said, and you noticed his backpack left on one of the larger tables in the room.
‘You’re running for class president?’ you asked, to which he started laughing. Then you remembered: a campaign was the game, the story they played. ‘Wow, ok, that was dumb of me,’ you laughed at yourself.
‘It’s almost finished though,’ Eddie continued once his laughter died. ‘Maybe another session or two, depending on how much the rest decides to wise up. Then we’ll be starting a new one, and it might be easier for you to get started… if you’d like.’ He spoke slowly, cautiously, as if the wrong word would scare you off like a hunter stepping on a twig and scaring off his prey. And perhaps, you would have run of. The door wasn’t a foot away from you. At any given time, you could have told him to piss off and you could have walked away. Who did he think you were? Trying to get you to join his cult.
Well, you were the person to do exactly that. You had already read enough to see that nothing the media was saying was true. It was a harmless, pretty fun-looking, game, that clearly had a very strong community around it.
But it didn’t matter what you wanted. If your friends would ever find out that you were spending your evenings with Eddie “the Freak” Munson and his squad of cult members, playing some game where you would kill monsters with dice… you would never see the light of day again.
‘I don’t even have a character sheet,’ you tried to use that as an excuse, but Eddie wasn’t buying it. Instead, the corners of his lips tightened in a smirk.
‘The fact you even know what a character sheet is, sweetheart, tells me more than enough.’ He was findings this very amusing. There you were, one of the most preppy students in all of Hawkins High, holding tight on to your backpack strap hiding what most of the people you knew would almost consider illegal contraband. He could practically see the gears in your head turning, fighting the urge to join him on the dark side… not that you would even know what it meant… although, you had already surprised him aplenty in the few minutes you spent together. He wasn’t against one more revelation.
‘How about my house, over the weekend? I got nowhere else to be.’
‘I-’ you didn’t know what to say.
‘Scared your boyfriend will be upset if we hang out?’ He looked up at you from behind his eyelashes, reading your face for a reaction.
‘I don’t have a boyfriend.’ You were earnest in your response, maybe too earnest. But Eddie didn’t seem phased. Nothing of his following reaction sounded as if you had just past some kind of test or trick he tried to put up. He just nodded, maybe shrugged a little.
‘So, what do you think?’ He held his hand out for you to shake. You stared at it, probably for too long, inspecting the rings on his fingers.
‘I really got to go.’ And with that, you pulled the door open and ran off. It was true, you had agreed with your friends to meet at the game, and you were most likely running late, but your sudden exit had more to do with the uncomfortable feeling in your stomach, a tightness that was rising all the way up to your chest... your throat. You didn’t know what to do, so– you ran.
You were almost at the exit leading to the fields, too, two corridors away, when you finally stopped running and an immense feeling of guilt spilt over you. What you had done was ridiculous, and extremely rude. Eddie had been so nice to you, so welcoming, and you just shut him down and ran away as if he was some psycho trying to lure you into a dark basement.
Eddie sat down at the table, trying to replay everything that just had happened in the room. Little made sense of it, but then again, when did things in his life ever make sense?
He pulled his campaign folder out of his bag. A thick and black dossier, with the Hellfire symbol, scratched onto it with a marker. Inside, a collection of scraps of paper with millions of his ideas scribbled into them. A system that would only make sense for the craziest of minds: his own.
He flipped through the pages when the door of the room opened again. He met your eyes and saw how out of breath you looked but how you tried to keep your composure. But most importantly, he saw your smile, your excitement.
‘You should probably give me your address,’ you said, still one foot at the threshold, ‘you know, if you want to meet up.’

Translation of the first episode of a new programme during the euros
Pernille was in the first episode, starting after 29 minutes
They start out talking about the disappointment after going out in the group stage last year at the euro, but back then, many hadn't played tournament before and they have gained experience from that.
In their free time when this was recorded (when they were still in Denmark), in the evenings they sometimes watched football or Bachelorette.
They then move on and talks about her national team career. The reporter plays a clip for her with the goal where she took the goal-scoring-record, at first Pernille couldn't remember it was exactly that goal she broke the record, but she was proud after the game. She also tells how she sometimes forgets what she already has achieved as she always set new goals if she reaches them. She says it's important for her to stop up, be in the moment and enjoy the success she already has achieved, the reporter then asks why, *Pernille smiling* "Because I have been told to". But she explains it isn't natural for her and that there always is a day tomorrow and she should be even better as she has said before.
If she should point out one moment in her career for the National team there is the biggest, she would say when they came home from the Euro 2017 to "rådhuspladsen" (a place in Copenhagen where Danish athletes are paid tribute for big achievements in their sport). She hadn't at all expected there would be that many people and says it's really big and describes it as a milestone and something she will never forget.
The reporter asks why she hadn't expected it, she says before that tournament, they hadn't really had much support from the Danish fans, but afterwards, they slowly gained respect.
They then move on and talks about how it was to play in "Parken" (the Danish national arena, where the men also play" and how big a day it was.
He plays a new clip where Pernille immediately says "I'm talking a little Swedish". It's a clip from the last World Cup where she's asked by a Swedish journalist how much she and Magda talked during the tournament. She then praised herself and says "I'm talking really good Swedish"😂 if you forgot, your girlfriend is Swedish Pernille. They just talk about how she saw all the Swedish matches and the usual things she said before as experiencing a tournament from a fan perspective.
Then he mentions the "famous kiss", here they also talk about the usual stuff, nothing new. Magda and Pernille understood their platform and all the positive reactions and messages. That they don't hide and just post normal pictures together. He also ask if they had ever thought they could have an impact and be a part of changing things, and she says they had never talked about it before.
He then plays a clip from the interview after the reading game in how she talks about the farewell from the fans of Chelsea and that she was grateful for the good farewell they got (basically the same as in this article)
He asks if Magda was the reason she transferred to Chelsea in the first place, with a smile she says she was one of the factors, not the only one. The reporter asks if she thinks she's a better player when she's on the same team as Magda and lives together. She says she thinks it's important that it's important that life off the field is going well for it to go well on the field. And she says it's better for her when she lives with Magda.
She also tells a bit about how they had sat down before choosing Bayern and given different clubs grades based of some different things as
The coach
The values of the club
The players already on the team
How much do they need them, and do they need them botj
How is the city
as it is important that the clubs suits them
He then asks with a smile to round it off, if Denmark or Sweden comes furthest in the tournament, and Pernille very confidently answers "Ofc. Denmark"

Hi love!
I saw your requests were open so I wanted to make a little request for pedri x reader where the reader she is the photographer of the team and she’s newly hired and lets say pedri is an f boy and they have some sort of affair during the champions league or something ( I know Barcelona isn’t in the champions league but just for the sake of the imagine) and she’s supporting him throughout all the completion but he keeps her hidden from the public eye and once the competition is over, or the season is over, pedri never finishes things w reader and is out and hanging out with another girl and the reader feels very used and just pure angst! Something a little sad please!!
A/n: decided to make this a headcannon as I was really struggling to write it as a fic also I added a little plot twist at the end
Warnings: mentions of sex (no smut)
wc: 780+
- getting to do photography for a football team had been your dream job since starting to take photos professionally so when you got bored by Barcelona it was a dream come true
- all of the players were really nice when you joined but Pedri was always the nicest and tried his best to make you feel at home
- people warned you that he had a reputation as a fuck boy but he was so sweet to you that you couldn't see how he got that reputation
- after the first champions league match you and Pedri hook up for the first time and you talk about becoming a thing but not putting a label on it just yet which you were fine with as you wanted to take things slowly anyway
- never did you think about what people said about Pedri as you couldn't imagine that he could be so manipulative to treat you so well and then drop you so you just thought that he had changed and was ready to settle down with a real relationship
- throughout the champions league you go to every match even when you don't need to just to support him
- you keep things out of the public eye completely which means no affection in public places which you don't mind because Pedri always seems to make up for it in private
- the one thing that bothers you is that he also doesn't tell his friends and tells you not to tell anyone that you don't really trust which annoys you because you want to be able to tell people about the relationship and how lovely Pedri actually is
- when the big matches come about the two of you always celebrate together back in your hotel and each time is better than the last but as much as you like the sex you just like getting to be around Pedri as he makes you feel so happy and loved
- after the team win the celebrations go late into the night and you don't see much of Pedri but when it came time to leave he finds you and brings you back to his hotel room for a different kind of celebration
- that night he is less romantic and affectionate but you don't think anything of it as you out it down to him being full of adrenaline still
- the next morning before you leave to go back to your hotel Pedri breaks things off between you which shatters your heart within an instant as you really thought that he might be the one you spend the rest of your life with
- after a few days of staying home crying your friends convince you to go out with them and let loose so you agree despite not really wanting to go
- at the club you see Pedri making out with another girl like nothing had changed and it made you feel even worse
- suddenly you understand what people said about him because it becomes clear that he used you to have someone to support him through the tournament but once it was over he dropped you like those months together meant nothing
- fuelled by sadness and anger you start to talk to Gavi in hopes to make Pedri jealous but after talking for a while you didn’t care about Pedri anymore
- Gavi quickly became your boyfriend and because Pedri never told anyone about the two of you Gavi didn’t think twice about dating you even though you mentioned that things happened between the two of you
- when you first hang out with the team as Gavi’s girlfriend Pedri is actually hurt for once as he broke things off with you because he felt himself falling for you and he didn’t like that but seeing you with his best friend made him regret not letting himself settle down with you
- it takes a while for Pedri to accept the fact that you are with Gavi but he knows he has to because he was the one that let you go and he can see that Gavi makes you really happy
- you will forever be the one that got away for Pedri and occasionally he will think about what life would have been like if he never called things off but instead he has to watch you be happy and love your best life with Gavi

The Betrayal of Ted Lasso S3
Yea. The title is a bit dramatic but I have been one of those people who will defend the Shandy and Zava arcs. I thought everything had a purpose, but really really this season felt like a turn, and part of it felt like the plot belonged in a different show...
They keep saying this was the three season arc they planned. But this felt very rushed, and wrapped all these plots up too neatly too quickly. Ted was reduced to a manic pixie dream girl floating in and out of peoples lives teaching them about love, forgiveness, and to believe.
Lets start with my least favorite thing in the finale. Reducing the Jamie/Keeley/Roy story to a fist fight and a "choose me over him" arc. Belonged in a different show. Pheobe said it best in the first episode "Why are you breaking up?" Nothing they did this season was better because of the Roy x Keeley breakup. Even Keeley's bi arc. Like she has always been implied bi, so they could have just made it clear with Jack being an ex that resurfaced instead of a new relationship. Imagine the version of the KJPR plot with Jack being an ex. No out of date leaked nudes plot. Roy can be jealous because he thinks maybe Keeley does want to get back with this ex, but he sees that is his problem not hers and works on it internally/with Dr. Sharon. And Keeley can think Jack is just trying to help and apologize for the mistakes she made in their relationship, but soon its clear Jack wants to get Keeley back by funding her business and then pulling her funding when things don't go her way. This leaves Keeley wondering if she ever had any value as a business woman and Rebecca and Roy are there to support her. Rebecca as a friend and financial backer and Roy as a supportive BF. Then Keeley can return the favor supporting Rebecca when she is deciding to sell the club or not, and Roy when he is promoted to manager.
The leaked nudes plot belonged on a show that came out like five/six years ago when society first started to shift and see that the celebrities were the victims. I understand it was a true story from the real Keeley, but seriously it dated a show that could have been pretty universal otherwise. I know they deal with issues like racism and homophobia but those things aren't going anywhere. We have to keep fighting, but those people always exist. Meanwhile the nudes thing has seen a pretty quick shift already. They built Shandy up as this vengeful character, Why didn't they have her do something to try and blow up Keeley's business? Even something simple like an attempt at wrongful termination? Shandy could have posted on her socials and been like "Keeley Jones claims shes for women but she fired me for no reason" got a bunch 'eat the rich' activists on her side since Keeley is backed by a billionaire and caused a lot of problems for the PR firm in the press.
Jamie reconnecting with his abusive parent. Honestly this did feel in place for a show thats all about forgiveness. But the more we learned about him the more he felt worse than Rupert. Absolutely awful. A better ending would have been his death and Jamie coping with the conflicted feelings he has vs the sadness he is expected to show by the media. Or even just letting Jamie move on. "I don't need him. I have a great mom, team, friends, and step dad/mom's bf" (I can't remember if they were married or not lol).
Nate simply quitting off screen and then being welcomed back like it was nothing. Belonged on another show. This one's been talked to death but I'll say it anyway. We see Rupert try to push a boundary and Nate left the bad situation and then fast forward, Nate quits and Rupert is being accused of impropriety. The start of the season was so focused on Nate being an ass to the West Ham players and then they just brush that under and rush him coming back? I didn't need a redemption arc. I liked the apology to Will and Ted's speech to Beard. But I did need to see the moments with Nate's choices. Nate made zero on screen choices this season. I mean even coming back was influenced by Jade.
Jade suddenly liking Nate, belonged on a different show. Okay I didn't hate Jade. I didn't hate that she started to date Nate. I think its weird the writers wrote a possibly racist character and then didn't address it but I guess the white af writers room just didn't get it. But I also liked Jade, Nate needed a no nonsense strong person in his life. I feel like his sister could have filled the role a bit better. But the girlfriend route wasn't bad.
Rebecca and the Amsterdam guy belonged in a rom com. Yea it worked a bit since Ted's whole rom com speech. But still, part of what I liked about the Amsterdam plot was that he was a great guy and a great time and then he was just gone. A happy memory to look back on and nothing more. It was so stupid that she randomly ran into him and they just magically got together. With Rebecca's romantic past ruined by Rupert's behavior. And the Sam relationship being kinda cute kinda doomed boss/employee weirdness it felt like Amsterdam guy was the true rebound she needed to move on and start a new path. Rebecca didn't need an endgame romance imo, she needed a fresh start. While I think she should have sold the whole club and moved on from the Rupert chapter of her life, I didn't hate the selling it to the fans thing. That was a decent way to end her journey. If they wanted her to have an endgame romance why not let the fans get to know the guy? Or flash forward to a guy we have never met implying that she eventually found someone?
Rupert hitting the coach also belonged on another show. Rupert is the guy who has everything work out for him. He's cool and collected and confident. Pushing the guy who wouldn't listen to him didn't seem like a Rupert move. Rupert would have fired him and promoted the guy under him. The big change would be if they had that guy quit and then the next guy quit until Rupert was left with no one. Could have also gone back to the Nate thing. If Nate leaving the toxic environment inspired others to do the same. Rupert publicly loosing his cool might have been fun since hes the worst, but it was too neat a wrapped bow.
Beard and Jane. Why did they literally only tell us everything bad about her if they wanted us to root for them? I'm sure she had some good qualities we could have seen. I did like that Beard was the character that got the ending rom com 'stop the plane' moment.
Colin's coming out. I could have done with less Isaac and more Trent or even less angry Isaac and more supportive Isaac but I liked it overall ngl. The kiss in the final episode was the best romantic moment in all of Ted Lasso. My canon favorite ship was RoyxKeeley but they never had a moment I could turn to. This was perfect and Colin was the best character for it.
The Van Damme thing was dumb. The joke about the mask making him 'Zorro' was dumb. I assume they were making fun of Ron Artest/Metta World Peace/Metta Sandiford-Artest but Zoreaux didn't need that. And it was funny for like one month in 2011, get over it.
Ted. Oh sweet Ted. I loved his talk with Trent about changing the name of the book because its not about him, and Trent taking that note but no others. At the end of the day, Ted's whole thing this season is Jason Sudeikis's whole thing in real life. He has a work family in London but his kids and ex in America. He's still low key in love with his ex and doesn't like the new relationship she's in and even though the new relationship ends pretty quickly it still sucks. And that is exactly what ruined the show. I'm sorry Jason is sad, I get people work through their problems in their art. But what a very emotional Jason sees as a good ending for Jason, is not a good ending for Ted. Ted Lasso the character deserved to decide to report Dr. Jacob (sorry Jason you can't report Harry Styles, he didn't do anything unethical... except maybe spit on Chris Pine...). Ted Lasso deserved a solid relationship with his son and a new partner, whoever you ship him with could work. I mean Sassy could have reported Dr. Jacob and told Ted maybe they could make it work since she is spending some time in the US for work. Or Rebecca with her millions saying she can commute as much as they want. Or a third new person in Kansas. The way the show implied Michelle is single and Ted is single. The 'they are getting along' narrative was a bit much.
The dream ending. Yes Bill Lawrence, this worked for Scrubs because JD was a character constantly fantasizing. But thats not Ted Lasso. This show deserved something more unique and more open ended. The final shot could have been Ted on the plane, smiling and that would beat the weird dream flash forward imo.
Yes the show has a central theme about forgiveness. But in previous seasons the person being forgiven earns that forgiveness. Here it was handed out to everyone regardless of who they hurt and what they did. It undermined Rebecca's s1 arc, Nate's multi season arc, Jamie's multi season arc, etc. The only arc that wasn't undermined was maybe Roy, since he ended up in therapy and actively trying to be better. So I guess good for Roy?
Overall my point is Ted Lasso was special because they marched to a positive and hopeful beat while still discussing hard topics. This season took everything special about the show and garbaged it, creating a messy, bland, and insulting final product that was a shell of the show they created. And they managed to do it in three seasons. Congrats guys? I mean most shows take 5-6 seasons to get truly off the rails.

David Jacobs, the suave and arrogant showbiz lawyer whose clients included The Beatles, Marlene Dietrich, Liberace and Judy Garland and who introduced Epstein to the gay scene in the capital was also a key player. Bullock calls it a “support network for the entertainment industry”. They needed it. While success brought money, attention and a certain freedom from the mores of contemporary society, it also caused problems.
Until the Sexual Offences Act of 1967 legalised homosexual acts between consenting adults over the age of 21, gay men had been confined to a crepuscular demi-monde and were confronted with a rise in prosecutions and several ‘sensational’ court cases well into the 1960s that had served to keep them in the closet rather than face misguided public opprobrium, the attention of the police and, frequently, blackmail.
The business uniform of single-breasted sharp suit and thin tie might have still ruled the roost but as the 1960s started to get underway, the author points out, “We really see people starting to come out of their shells and being a bit more flamboyant and less guarded in what they’re doing. People are kind of realising that within entertainment, and particularly rock and pop, you can probably get away with a little bit more”.
In other words, there was lots of sex and drugs to go with the rock n roll for successful gay men in the business and that necessarily meant existing within a network of people you could trust. “Certainly, there were parties at Brian Epstein’s house where he would just invite anyone around who he thought would be interesting and fun and just let them carry on while he would pick out who he fancied and take them off to another room,” says Bullock. “There was a certain amount of you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours in business terms but there was also a feeling that it was also much easier to play in that way, to host parties for this kind of network and for the people this network knew in a place where you were not likely to be arrested, not going to get busted or have the press hammering at your door.
“David Jacobs was always being asked to come and get people out of sticky situations,” explains Bullock. “Brian was blackmailed several times, often by the same ex-boyfriend… including on one occasion when this guy made off with some of the takings from the Beatles’ Candlestick Park gig in San Francisco and some pills, private papers and photographs before demanding $10,000 for their safe return. Blackmail was going on so often, they got used to having to pay-off people to shut them up but when you have so much money lying around I guess it’s not that much of an issue and certainly paying off the occasional blackmailer has got to be better than going to a club and being caught out and having your name splashed all over the newspapers.”

Volleyball update :D
(Spring 2024, February)
So I have moved up the volleyball ranks and are now playing on a second division team. I most likely wont play so much in official matches...since I'm a rookie. That is fine, I'm not ready or comfortable yet to play competitive like that with the new lineup and my skills.
On the new team, we use system. That was why I wanted to move to this group. We had only touched on it before, but the practices were becoming a little monotone with how we usually had our practices. Not to be cocky, but on my last team; I was one of the best players ( mostly because I had played the longest). There was a lot of new players, which meant that we all were on different levels and thus we needed to find a type of practice that all could do.
With system, each player has a set position and we play accordingly...so that makes us moved differently from the normal "school rotation". It's a lot of fun to learn, but also very hard. Since we need to move so much around during the rally and make sure we stand correctly when the ball gets served or spiked. I'm slowly getting the hang of the rules. But let me tell you all, the first few times I played like that, I needed a lot of guidenes and I moved incorrectly. I moved to the front at the wrong time and basically cost my side the point, haha. My team mates are supporting and since I'm new; we all are expecting that I make more than a few mistakes in the start. Now a few weeks on the team; I'm slowly understanding more of it. Sometimes I need help to know where exactly I need to be- but once I know that, the rest is easy!
BUT! Guess what positions I get to play as?!
I'm setter!!!! Like the position I have wanted to play in since I started. I have even gotten a lot better at my backward sets and even middle sets. It's a lot of fun. It is still hard. Sometimes, during one rotation; I forget that I don't have a player in front, behind me. I set to "them" and no one can take the ball, since they can't get to it in time to fix my mistake! Haha, but it's very fun to play setter when I get it right. Setter isn't that much of a popular position to play but, I always loved it. It's fun to play and spike the ball and score points. Yet; it's a lot more fun to give a perfect set and see the spiker score a point. That is why I have always loved setting. It's just so giving when I get it right. Luckily for me, there are two other setters on the team that can give me pointers and help me!
I also have progressed a lot with my serves. I still have some that just go out-of bounds. If I really get into it; I can get a lot over in one go. I also have this thing that my first serve will get over and on the second I'm either too confident or something and I just send it to the net or out on the sides. They're coming together slowly. When I feel like I have the hang of it; I will either see into float serves or jump serves.
I also have some knee injuries. Just overtrained, but they hurt. I actually went to a physical therapist and got some help to build them up again. I had like a one and a half month break from volley during the christmas break and my knees stopped hurting. I went to one practise and honestly though my knees were more or less good to go. Or that it would at least taken a few weeks or months before the injury would come back. Well, it took like that one practise for me to reset my recovery. I'll think I just see how it goes and keep up the rehabilitation workouts with my knees. While playing setter isn't too much jumping, it can be a lot of twist and turns for the knees when running to the right place on the court. I'm fine when I play, it's just after practises it hurts. So well, I just see how it goes and take it from there!
We just had an internally tournament in the club. All team can participate and they make new teams across the teams so we get to know the whole club. It's mix volleyball and a lot of fun. My team got fourth place in the whole tournament. The nice thing about this tournament, is that even when we have first division players that plays together with the newcomers- we all play fairly and just have fun. Of course, we all want to win; but we also want everyone to have a great time! I was very tired after the day, since it was like six hours together in the hall and playing and being referees back to back the whole time we were there. It's a good kind of tired though.
So there is that. I'm currently a rookie setter! It's a lot of fun and I can't wait until I get to learn more about playing as setter and helping my team mates in that regard!

I have to admit it: I'm still weak for Tobin in her Manchester United era. Maybe I'm projecting something personal into it because when she went to play for United, I was living the worst period of my life and she basically was my only joy back then, but I also feel it was important for her too, for better and for worse.
She went there when the world was still in the middle of the first year of the pandemic, she needed to play minutes in order to get fit for the Olympics and it was the first time she played with Christen for a club team.
In the first months she played there before the injury, she was in such amazing form, I haven't seen her in that form again since then. It was so joyous to see her perform like that despite so many things were wrong in the world in that moment. Football was truly a bubble and for 90 minutes everything looked normal.
Then it came the Portland Thorns earthquake and somehow I was glad she wasn't in the US when it happened. At least she could focus just on the game and she could count on a coach like Stoney who called right away to check on her.
The game vs Aston Villa, her brace, her happiness, they are some impossible sweet memories, she smiled and I did too.
But most of all I loved how pivotal she became for the players. Toone still mentions her every single time she can, Millie Turner loved her completely, Earps thanked her and Christen for her personal growth, Russo is a fellow Tar Heel so it was an instant bond, everyone just cherished her and respected her, like it should be.
I hated the club when I found out the players had to practice in such unacceptable conditions, I still believe it had a huge role on her double injury at that time, Stoney was vocal about her worries for the players' safety. But in the end maybe it was a chapter of her life she had to live.
And seeing how close she still is with the team and how meaningful her impact was makes me realize she really reached and lived her goal in Manchester.
That's probably why among the teams I supported because of Tobin (I always say that I'm a Tobin FC fan now), Manchester United Women still has a place in my heart. Those are good players and good girls.

Thoughts on Naglesmann going to PSG?
I think that he doesn't deserve so much pain. All the PSG trainers turns mad after six months in this club because in addition to an incredible level of pressure they have to deal with everything on their own, they will have to face all the criticisms and they will never have any support from the club.
Plus PSG isn't a club that works "normally".
First the star players are free to do whatever they want even if it's against the trainer's advise or opinion because since PSG isn't only a football club but also (and I should say mainly) Qatar's most efficient embassy they need to have players who will attract peoples, and since none of these players have any attachment for the club they have to bribe them with money and complete freedom. That's why Neymar has been free to ruin his health as much as he wanted over the course of the last years. Messi was the only player who faced a semblance of authority from the club lately and it was only in order to make sure that he will leave. People started to know about Qatar because they knew about PSG and they knew about PSG because Zlatan, Mbappé, Neymar and Messi played or plays there.
Secondly, there is no real sport director in PSG. Campos works here with a sort of part-time job and Henrique is called by the club when they need him. Knowing these two persons, none of them will stand by Julian and help him and none of them want of a trainer like him who won't be their little puppet. They will fight against him just like they fight against each other.
Finally, no one knows who is the real head of this club and who takes the final decisions. Nasser as so much things to do that it's impossible for him to really govern PSG. The persons in Doha are of course the real owners but they certainly doesn't care enough about the club to have an active part in every decisions but they can also impose they will according to their caprice.
For someone who so much needs to be in control, like Julian, perhaps that Bayern with it's strict organization wasn't the best place for him but a club like PSG, with no organization at all, won't be a better place for him either. He won't have the freedom and the power he wants, he is just going to be the smokescreen who will hide everyones' mistakes.

big sad big hurt big mad
After the breath of fresh air that this international break was I wasn't ready to face the oh so cruel and cold reality that comes with Tottenham’s game days. Being someone who cares about Heung (a lot of the players really) is a nightmare if you're in the imp-infested place that is Twitter. I will honestly never be able to grasp just how fickle and destructive spurs fans are towards their players, nowadays especially when it comes to Sonny who has time and time again done so much for the club. Criticism is very essential and Heungmin isn't and shouldn’t be exempt from it and it is very understandable to be upset considering how unlike him his performance has been with Tottenham. But the criticism should be constructive, and it should be aimed at helping the player improve and yet here you have people telling him ‘its time to learn Chinese’ and/or the many variations of how much he sucks and is done for in addition to the rest of the absurdly abusive, venomous disrespect he has been receiving from the fanbase.  11 people get on the pitch and contribute to the game and the result, but fans really just choose to cherry pick and try to bury Sonny rather than admit that his performance is not the root cause of the problem. Everyone gets that Sonny's performance is below the desirable standards he has set for himself but It’s soooo frustrating to see the blame fall mostly onto him and to see Sonny accept so much of the blame when it isn't all his to take.
Players need to be held accountable for their performance, but they also need support and encouragement during difficult times and the lack of that is so shocking.Sonny is an exceptional football player who deserves respect and appreciation. These people just won’t admit that not all problems on the pitch are his fault. AND as an ass-biting bonus fans of other players use Sonny's bad times as a means to pile up on the situation just so they don't have to criticize players they don't wish to criticize, even when they deserve it. a player was no good today? oh well it doesn't matter because Sonny is this and Sonny is that blah blah blah.
Even though the results of the KNT games weren’t the greatest, seeing Heung roaming through the pitch and just actually playing the way he should be was beautiful and so refreshing. it didn't feel suffocating as watching the last batch of Tottenham games has been.
It’s truly a wonder to see how loyal he has been to the club, given how loved and sought after he is as a player/teammate. and yet he always chose to stay and always wanted to stay with the club despite never achieving all the shiny beautiful things he has most definitely earned and deserves. Seeing all his efforts and devotion makes you wish this was a good place for him to be, the right place. but with the way things have been it just makes you wish he was far away from this club and their godforsaken miserably vicious fans. He deserves so much better. So many people on that team do.

It is journalist malpractice to simply parrot SBG’s article and not refer to FIFA’s actual ruling. I don’t know how many times I have to say this.
Her essay blatantly omits that FIFA “considered the fact that the Respondent [Olympique Lyonnais] was supportive of the Player’s absence” and that “a prudent person placed into the situation of the Player would have addressed the consequences resulting from her departure.”
I am starting to get really, really irritated about this. You want to go after Lyon for having argued French law should have dominated over FIFA, that’s fine. Let’s debate international jurisdiction. It’s my version of intellectual dirty talk.
But I am SO SICK AND TIRED of players like Pernille Harder, Alex Morgan and Megan Rapinoe gleefully dunking on Lyon with a fake moral high ground when it is so clear they have not read the ruling itself. You can probably argue that SBG did not read the ruling beyond the passage saying Lyon should pay for the outstanding salary costs.
I’m also genuinely sick of people acting like Lyon is doing damage control with Majri when in reality they are doing THE EXACT SAME THING they said they wanted to do with SBG. The difference is SBG refused outright to cooperate whereas Majri understood there were actual logistical aspects that needed to be sorted out and those take time.
I find it REALLY interesting that people are so desperate to believe that Lyon threatened retaliation if SBG went to FIFA when, again, FIFA sided with Lyon.
I also find it interesting that certain individuals are happy to throw around the conspiracy that Lyon is threatening its current players into submission instead of the more likely possibility that the current players just knew - or at the very least suspected - that SBG’s essay distorted certain facts. Maybe, just maybe, the ones who didn’t peace out for nine months are the ones who know the club better than the one who fled.
Anyways. Just learn to fucking read. A little bit of intellectual curiosity will do some of you the world of good.

Thinking how, if I was actually in place of a MC in Twisted Wonderland, certain events would have gone much differently…
In Glorious Masquerade the main danger were Crimson Flowers, and who would be better at handling the flower that absorbs magic than the person who has no magic to begin with? As soon as Idia mentioned the Bell of Salvation, Prefect made up a plan and ran to the bell tower, instructing Grim to cover for her absence. The plan is simple – safely reach the bell tower because the flowers are harmless to her, and then convince Rollo that she’s on his side. Carefully ask if he has any protections put against the crimson flower, pretending to be worried for him (in case if he did have protections – Prefect always has a switchblade covered in paralyzing poison on her). Then shove the crimson flower into his hands and push him off the tower. After that you can ring the bell and save the day, there is no need for the rest of the characters to fight with flowers and then with Rollo.
(Also, despite the fact that the plan to reach the tower on brooms was rejected in canon, I’d say that it still could have worked. You just need to take a start from a place as far away from flowers as possible and then just fly high and crash into the tower from above.)
The Ghost Marriage could have been easily solved as well – instead of sending other students to try and seduce the ghost themselves (and fail miserably), I would task Ortho to bring the Disconnection Ring to Idia and lie to the ghosts about the ring being a family relic. Important part of every marriage is the proposal, right? I’m sure that Eliza would want her groom to propose to her properly with a ring, even if it’s a little too late. Then Idia just needs to pretend to go along with it and slip the disconnection ring on her finger, banishing her from the human realm for good. Eliza’s servants will have to follow after her, since they don’t have much business in the human realm if they are not trying to find a groom for their princess.
Chapter 3 is probably the only chapter where MC gets to be the active force in the plot, but some of the decisions that they made are still dumbass. First of all, in the situation with Azul’s contracts, I'd try to get the copy of the contract that Ace, Deuce and Grim concluded. Then I would go researching Sage Island’s law and NRC’s rules to try and find loopholes. Right off the bat, I can already see possible openings with the validity of the contracts concluded with minors, lack of informed consent, and possible slave labour. But assuming that he really did account for all the possible loopholes, we’re getting back to the original plot. Instead of barging into Azul’s office as one big crowd, it would have been better to sneak in while using invisibility potion and I'd only take Ace with me as a magical support. It would spare us additional trouble of getting caught and getting into a fight. Also I would have signed off Ramshackle dorm only after coming up with a trick to distract the leech twins with this deal.
(Also! The task of getting the phono from museum from Azul could have been easily solved if I could just involve teachers in it. Crowley should have been able to arrange for the museum to let me borrow one photo of a bunch of kids that was not even a part of any exhibition. Also hopefully adults could protect me from Jade and Floyd)
And then there's the Scary Monsters event with boys' atrociously choreographed scenes meant to scare off visitors... The ways I'd change it is a whole other topic for discussion, but somebody seriously needed to get Vil's Film Studies Club involved, along with a few students who can do proper illusions (like one of my OCs).
And that's just some examples from the top of my head. It surely is annoying when the player's character is dumber than you are. On the other hand, if I was the one to deal with all the problems in the game, the plot just wouldn't have happened...

Stability Not the Spectacular at Celtic
LOOK after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves. Give that old saying a football twist, and it pretty much sums up the philosophy of Stalybridge Celtic's new co-majority shareholders Nigel Jones and Paul Bowden.
There are no grandiose statements to win the attention and approval of supporters, no plans to win Football League status within ten or 15 years, and no huge infrastructure projects. Instead, there's plenty of talk of incremental progress starting with winning promotion from the Pitching In first division west back up to the premier division.
Mr Jones equates it all with what would be called the discovery phase in business — finding out what works, what doesn't work, and what could be done better.
"It’s a journey of continual improvement. You don’t get everything right at once but if you keep steadily improving things will follow from there. It’s all about improving the squad, governance, the matchday experience and the relationship fans. That’s how we’ll drive things forward," he explained.
"First of all we need to get the right squad in place and time is against us. We have to hit the ground running and although we've been co-owners less than a week we've already made some moves such as a fans' forum on Monday, June 5. The rest will come over the next few weeks and months.
"Paul and I believe the fans are ready for a change. It's been a difficult few years culminating in last season' relegation. Rob Gorski was at the club a long time and we need to show that the change people are demanding is taking place. They need to see we’re not just following the status quo.
"We’ve started the process by appointing a new manager. That’s no reflection on Chris Willcock’s abilities – I don’t actually know him at all – but Stalybridge Celtic needs a fresh start. We also need to maximise revenues. By doing that we’ll have more money for players. We need to have the best team we can.
"First and foremost we’ll look at the more straightforward things like sponsorship and increasing matchday revenues. Let's take things one step at a time, focus on the little things first and gradually build up."
After going through seven managers in ten years (eight including the Paul Phillips's partner Steve Halford), plus many other comings and goings, the new owners also believe the club craves and indeed requires a period of stability.
In James Kinsey, who was with Mr Jones at Wythenshawe Town, they believe they have a manager who can provide it. Their intention is to have him in charge for a lengthy period.
"We need stability 100 per cent. I know James well and have worked with him. We're looking for him to be with us for many years and that's something I think is very important at this level," said Mr Jones.
"He'll be given a budget and he’ll have full control of that. James can consult us if he feels he needs to but we’re more than happy to let him get on with it.
"James is young and he has that energy and drive that goes with youth. That energy he brings is fantastic and it will make a big difference, especially if we can get the fans with us."
One of the charges often levelled at Rob Gorski was that he treated Stalybridge Celtic as a hobby rather than a business. It was an accusation he utterly refuted, and Jones and Bowden insist it's the same with them.
Although Mr Jones willingly talks about fun and getting a buzz, he adds that he and his co-majority shareholder are determined to change the club's fortunes and turn it into a success.
He said: "We’re deadly serious. We accept it’s going to be very tough to take Celtic into profit but we want to win. I run a business that employs 500 people and that’s a challenge. There are good times and there are bad times.
"While Paul lives in Bristol, I live in Sale and represent the local face of our partnership. I’m planning to be at Bower Fold every week and we're going to put some good governance in place. We really want to do this properly.
"Stalybridge Celtic has a good name in the North West and that's why we were interested in buying it. There are also some good people at the club who put a lot of time in for no financial reward – just for the love of it."
And what of the much talked-about state-of-the-art 3G pitch and new social club Celtic have chased for so long? Mr Jones added: "Every non-league club will have researched 3G pitches and know the money they can bring in from things like midweek five-a-side leagues.
"There may be grants available from bodies such as from the Football Foundation, but these things take time and are a big commitment.
"We’re not going to promise A, B and C or say we'll suddenly transform Bower Fold. We’re going to start by concentrating on what happens on the pitch. Hopefully, we should be able to achieve promotion quite quickly – maybe even in the first season. We'll move on from there."

England’s historic victory at the Euros could be a turning point for the women’s game with grassroots clubs already snowed in with requests for girls and women to join.
The Lionesses beat Germany 2-1 in extra time in front of 87,000 supporters at Wembley, securing England’s first major tournament since 1966.
Thousands of fans from across the country celebrated the victory in Trafalgar Square today.
Romina Calatayud, founder and CEO of Girls United, a south London football school that aims to make the sport more accessible to girls and women, said she woke up to a flurry of requests in her inbox.
Having “lived through the lack of visibility and the comments” over the years, Sunday’s match was “extraordinary to watch”, she said.
“I’m really feeling hopeful that other girls will not go through what women my age and older have gone through,” she told i.
“The whole tournament, even before the wonderful result, it has been quite a different impact this time with the visibility it has got, the success of the team, the quality of the football.
“We’ve really seen the conversation change, the mentality, there’s been a far-reaching impact.”
Ten of the mascots at Sunday’s game were from Girls United, an opportunity that Ms Calatayud said had the power to change lives.
She said role models like the Lionesses were invaluable to the growth of the women’s game. “The next few months will be crucial in what we do with that momentum – how do we make sure we get that professional level success on an amateur level.
“We need everyone to come together to put a strategy in place that starts at the very beginning and keeps up with demand. We need to ask how do we keep girls in the game with the right type of programmes. We need visibility and investment.”
Sophie Page, club secretary at Brockwell United, an amateur south London football club for women and non-binary players catering for all ages and abilities, told i the club has also been inundated with requests to join.
“It shows you that representation matters, the national team success does trickle down to grassroots,” she said.
Around 30 players from the club went to Wembley to watch England’s win.
“Lots of our players have faced barriers with playing the game, from being stopped at a young age as there weren’t girls’ teams, to not being taken seriously, so at full time some of our players were in tears,” she said.
“It felt like a huge moment and victory, not just for the Lionesses but for our players and women’s football in general.”
Female football players in England have had to contend with shocking attitudes over the years. The sport was banned for almost 50 years until 1970, while a recently resurfaced tweet posted by the FA during the 2015 World Cup described the women’s team as primarily “mothers, partners and daughters”.
Ms Page added: “I am optimistic it’s a turning point but I am also cautious as we saw interest in the game grow after the 2019 World Cup but then it petered out.
“It feels like some are only just waking up to how amazing women’s football is and we need those people to stay committed and interested.
“The fact that we won the tournament and won on home turf is huge and will make a difference, but we have to ensure this is a turning point, a moment of change.”
She said engagement in the game, whether as a spectator or a player, and funding were both crucial to maintaining that momentum.
Meanwhile, issues ranging from lack of access to pitches to boots that fail to cater to women’s feet were among those holding the women’s game back.
“We need to see better pathways for girls getting into the professional game, girls need to have the same access to football at schools because sadly we know that’s still a huge issue and grassroots teams need to be given the space to grow and develop by being given quality pitch space,” Ms Page added.
“We also need to see brands take this seriously, develop football shoes that are catered to women’s feet, not just a replica of men’s boots.”
Gaia Laidler, of Goal Diggers, which also caters for women and non-binary players in the capital, said she too was “cautiously optimistic” that England’s victory would mean more opportunity at a grassroots level.
The club, based in east London, has hundreds of players, making it one of the biggest of its kind, with Ms Laidler adding it is currently “incredibly oversubscribed”.
She agreed that lack of pitch space was a key issue holding back the women’s amateur game.
Because of the how the pitches are allocated historically, “a typical 11-a-side pitch in London only has a men’s team playing on it”, she said, adding now that visibility has increased “it means that we can challenge some of these issues”.
