April 4, 2023 - Day 2 at sea, after turning around for a few hours due to a medical emergency, we’re trying to find our way around the north coast of Cuba. Damn that’s one long island. We’re really enjoying our balcony and I can report that the ocean is truly navy blue here - stunning. We started our day early with a one hour “fall behind” time change to align with Colombian time. By 9 this morning, we had coffeed, eaten, walked laps of the ship and swam for an hour (had the pool all to ourselves except the lifeguard). We signed up for an acupuncture info session, attended a “lecture” on Cartagena, watched pickle ball and savoured our delicious grilled filet mignon and salmon lunch at 1:30 (again with the specialty restaurant almost all to ourselves). Enjoyed a siesta with the sound of real ocean waves before finishing our books and awaiting sunset. Our evening plans include art viewing, the Celine tribute show and maybe some free play at the casino. Totally unplugged without internet so hopefully drafting these notes of our full day to share later.

Look. I’ve studied Tom Cruise a lot. One could even call me a Cruisologist. (Not to be confused with. Well.) And, it’s actually really easy to predict Tom Cruise’s opinion on something. The tricky part is whether it will be made public in a timely manner or not and, if it’s made public at all, will it be a lede buried in favor of pushing a narrative sold on background by a studio exec he pissed off because he didn’t roll over and take their bullshit.

46. We made it back to Cape Town

After 45 days at sea, crossing the South Atlantic from Cabedelo, Brazil to Cape Town, South Africa, we are back home. It wasn’t an easy passage, and not just because it was our longest yet. We’ll tell all about it in this episode of our podcast.
