Edmund the Dark Light

Edmund is a minor supporting character and party member for Kris and the player. He is a ghost white raven-esk character who suffers from an inferiority complex as a result of bullying, and his unique appearance…

-Light World-

In the Light World he is a student alongside Kris and Sussie, having recently transferred from out of town as a result of the bullying he received at his previous school. Edmund suffers from an avian equivalent of albinism which results in his feathers appearing ghost white despite coming from a family of black-feathered Ravens.  This condition combined with a nihilistic attitude results in him quickly being ostracized by the rest of the students.  The one exception being Sussie who appreciates Edmund’s willingness to be blunt and direct with people.  Despite this, Edmund remains introverted, and spends most of his time away from everyone else.

-Dark World-

Edmund eventually becomes trapped inside a Dark World where he takes on a support/spellcaster role.  He possesses two potent “chain” spells that can target multiple allies or enemies at the cost of having less raw power per individual hit.  Unlike other spellcasters Edmund lacks a spell to pacify tired enemies, but instead possesses one that can induce the tired state instead.

Edmund eventually grows out of his shell during his adventures with Kris and the other heroes, however his nihilism and introversion end up being replaced with escapism.  In the end Edmund opts to remain the the Closet’s Dark World with Ralsei and the recruited enemies, becoming a recruited NPC himself at the end of the game.

-Equipment-

Light World:

W - Chain Necklace

A1 - Good Luck Charm

A2 - None

Dark World:

W - Magic Chains

A1 - Silver Card

A2 - None

-Spells-

Chain Heal - Heals an ally, then another random ally for half of the amount, then a 3rd random ally for half of that amount.  Cannot target self.

Chain Lock - Tires target enemy then jumps to another random enemy if the target was below half health, then jumps again if that target was below half health.

-Titles-

Edmund’s title will change depending on which spell he has cast the most, this can change at any point so long as he is within the Dark World.

Light World:

“Struggling Student”

Dark World:

“Shadow Priest” (If Chain Heal is used more than Chain Lock)

“Ferromancer” (If Chain Lock is used more than Chain Heal)

i wanted to try making a darksona to go w bird boy except for one problem: not counting armor, botw doesn’t have dark link in it.

so have this blob of malice that’s trying to mimic bird boy after he made contact w it too many times. the problem is that once “borb” gained a rudimentary form of salience, he proved himself to be just as much of a dumbass as bird boy.

he’s evil, don’t get me wrong, but he’s very bad at being evil. the good news for everyone else is that he spawned in a fairly remote location and hasn’t found his way to civilization (or bird boy) yet.

Come get y’all TMA Avatar OCs

Okay so! I haven’t gotten around to drawing them all yet because these came to me in about two hours like a inspiration freight train so here’s a rundown of all 7 TMA Avatar OCs I came up with recently. Let me know which ones most interest you & feel free to ask questions about them bc I really love fleshing OCs out!

Here’s Maria and Snail so far:

Buried:

Maria - Originally a member of the Wigan Pit Brow Lasses, she earned her living working as a miner who went missing after a small tunnel collapse in 1867 while in her early 50s. Her weapon of choice is an old, dirt-and-rust caked pickaxe.

Corruption:

A Brazilian entomology student who got lost in amazon and became unhealthily infatuated with another, far more ancient avatar of the Corruption who she happened to stumble upon. She refused to leave this avatar’s side and soon became violently ill with Dengue, a disease passed on by mosquitos that resulted in her suffering with a high fever, awful sickness, among other things.

Hundreds of years old, this avatar aligned with centipedes has mutated far, far beyond their original human self and into an unrecognisable creature of limbs, bone plates and rib-like legs, to say nothing of their mandibles.

A snail mutated by the corruption, it lives in uncanny disguise as a human with a suspicious looking rucksack and raincoat.

Dark:

A woman who, after years volunteering at a charity shop, brought a pitch black shawl delivered in blank shoebox. Upon putting it on, she soon found herself unable to take it off, falling heavily under its influence and losing herself to the dark.

Spiral:

A Dyspraxic Calligrapher working to raise awareness for various conditions lost herself in her work and, after a traumatic experience with the spiral, fell into a terrible paranoia that left her stranded in a whirlwind of chaos from which she never returned.

A creature drawn by the Calligrapher, made entirely of ink strokes. It acts almost as a therapy animal for her though it tends to wander freely. It also acts as a weapon; though it’s 3D in theory, it’s edges are as sharp as a diamond blade knife, and it has a habit of walking or running through things...
