Introducing my Chapter 3 Secret Boss OC, Fantest!

Art done by my wonderful friend, Alonebutfree! (I asked them if they had anything i could link to credit them and they just said to mention them by name)

In the light world, Fantest was a test card, specifically one that showed up when the programming was done for the day. But now that we have 24/7 programming, that card is no longer used, and so she was... discarded.

In the dark world, she had a similar role. A simple menial task. Announcing to the citizens when the shows were over for the night. But people hated her. They hated what she represented, being a symbol that their fun was over. But it wasn't... just that. They thought she was creepy. There was something about her face. So she covered it up. Just for them. She hated looking in the mirror anyway. But the mask was creepy too. And the hate never stopped. And she was simply left all alone on that stage.

And then, one night, one night that didn't seem to be any different to any other night...

Something found her.

She started to rant and rave, trying to tell everyone that something was coming whenever she had to come on to end the shows. And that was the last straw. Tenna fired her and never looked back.

So that's it? She was born with this mismatched body, born with this mismatched soul, mocked and abandoned her entire life, the second that the one person that pretended to care gets an excuse, they abandon her like the rest? And she's the one that's forced to be saddled with the burden of this information? What a sick joke! She couldn't bear it, looking at all those people walking around, laughing and cheering like they mattered.

So she decided she knew what she needed to do. She became a doomsayer. Yelling portents of the end, barging into shows and creating technical difficulties, and using those opportunities to tell the residents of this fucked-up, rotting world the only truth that exists anymore...

Your choices don't matter.

Fantest's voiceline is "THE END IS NIGH; IT ENDS TONIGHT"

Fantest's song names are Killjay (overworld) Paradise (rough Digital Roots/Dialtone equivalent) GOODNIGHT AND GOODBYE (fight theme) Life At Last (postbattle)

In terms of secret boss theme theories, Fantest represents the sin of envy, and is based off the fairytale Chicken Little.

yeah ok i'll talk about my deltarune secret boss oc

DEWSHINE. based on a dark world taking place in my own bedroom.

Ive had this old novelty mountain dew candle for years, previously owned by my brother. its made to look like an actual glass of mountain dew, but i dont really ever intend on lighting it.

and im an autistic deltarune fan so of course i had an idea.

she's a disgusting greasy little gamer girl who LOVES games based on the games i played on my gamecube as a small child. always seems like she never feels like she had a purpose, and was content just living.

that is until, one day she met with a strange Man.

always rambling on about serving her true purpose, and being able to go to heaven afterwards.

but no one would end up listening to her, right? its such an insane request, no one would even consider helping her...

DEWSHINE THE UNSNUFFABLE has finally brought heaven to everyone, attaining her true FREEDOM as she slowly dies a fiery death, melting in front of your very eyes.

i dont really have much else to say about her, heres some alternate dialogue and older art of her i made like half a year ago when i had the idea

If you’ve been on my blog you probably know I really like Deltarune. I spend a lot of time thinking about my original characters, namely Mona, who is not a Deltarune OC. But the thought ocurred to me: What if Mona’s room* became a Dark World? These four are the main darkners that would appear in it.

* Seen here, where you can also see Hetty and MD’s object forms. I’ve redesigned Corbin since I drew this but god I never post art.

I have a lot of fun making and drawing darkner OCs, I have a lot to post of these four if I can remember to. Just in general, Deltarune is a fun thing to cross over with, and I think Mona can have a little adventure with Kris and Susie as a treat. She’s a lot like Noelle, so she’ll fit right in. Right? Right. Probably.

theyre a pullstring cowboy toy plush that got lost in the church somewhere

(pronouns and gender have yet to be decided on)

their little tail is their pullstring !!

ID: Two sprites of Angelpoke, next to Jevil and Spamton. Angelpoke is an orange humanoid doll, dressed in cowboy attire. They are a bit taller than Jevil. They have a big round face, closed eyes with gold winged lashes, large wing ears, and a sharp toothy smile. They have long dark brown hair, tied into short twintails. Some of their hair frames their face in a way that resembles horns. Both sprites wear a brown hat, white undershirt, red waistcoat, brown belt with a star buckle, dark brown pants, and brown boots with spurs, but the 1st sprite has a long black tailcoat jacket. Deltarune secret boss OC: Poppy!

Name: Poppy

Age: Unknown

Sexuality: Lesbian

Backstory: She used to be part of a group of gardeners who owned a flower shop together. She was a very sweet and caring girl, and despite having issues with anger and letting her emotions control her, she always tried to be the best person she could. One day, a strange man appeared in the shop. He started talking to her, making small talk, and then left without buying any flowers. He kept coming back for a few months, building up trust, untill one day, he told her this world she lives in is just a videogame. He showed her the light, and then left her to rot in the darkness. She lost her mind, trying to keep up a façade of still being the same sweet girl, but it was quite obvious she changed drastically. The other gardeners were put off, and suddenly felt uncomfortable around her. She never understood why they left her. She's lonely, she desperately wants friends, but she's also scared that they'll leave her again. Currently, she is obsessed with Kris and wants to keep them safe at any cost. In her battle, her dialogue will directly reference YOU, the player.

Canon facts about her:

-Her attacks are mostly flower based.

-Her obsession with Kris is NOT romantic, it's more like a protective parent/older sibling.

-She loves any food with honey in it.

-She lives in the flower shop earlier talked about, which is now abandoned.

-She loves dark humor and often makes jokes like that.

-When her eyes turn grey, it means she's questioning her existance and having a mental breakdown and you should leave her alone.

-She has really sharp teeth.

-She has insect-like wings and she can fly using them.

-She has antennas, but most of the time you can't see them because of her hat.

Her abilities if she was able to join the party:

-Poison: Depleats anywhere from 1 to 10 HP to the enemy.
