Some lineart of my favorite ratman. When i saw a photo on pinterest (where the whole pose is from) i instantly thought of Silco. This fine son of a gun in a suit - my weakness. Ughhh. It´s way too late & way too hot to draw..i can´t really concentrate but oh well, i feel like art is the only thing that keeps me sane. canonical things about silco

@eye-of-zaun i’ve touched on it briefly here, but yeah, canonically, silco has never said the words “i love you.” during the dinner party scene he finds a thousand ways to convey his feelings to jinx by promising to never forsake her and calling her perfect but never once does he say ‘i love you.” also, jinx never once refers to silco or vander as dad.

the fact that sevika says “like his daughter” instead of flat-out calling jinx his daughter, hints that silco never claimed familial ties to her either (a least not in public) at that point. when silco is alone with jinx, he refers to her by name or child. he only refers to her as family when she’s stabbing him and he’s afraid she’s going to leave him for her sister.

then we have the statue scene when we first hear him call her his daughter, but after admitting she’s a problem (just like sevika said) so of course, jinx takes it as an insult.

at the dinner party scene he calls her his daughter once more. i saw a post saying he nods his head afterwards, as if confirming to himself that “yes. this is my daughter, i’m willing to commit to this out loud.”

he’s smiling at her and i think, this is the first time he’s directly called her that. not to stray too far from canon but i do believe this scene is more powerful if this is the first she’s been called a daughter since her parents’ death.

other fun canonical things about silco:

left handed.

doesn’t curse.

in the interactive council archives / the grand conspiracy, it’s revealed that silco liked to stick to the shadows. while some of the chem-barons use their real names, he signs off on things as ‘-S’ he only recently stopped trying to hide.

silco is aware of child abduction and experimentation at the hands of reni.

in arcane canon so far, the nation of zaun is silco’s (and vander’s) creation. the concept of zaun has no historical context predating silco and is not recognized by those outside of the cause.

he has a sense humor. he has such a very dry and horrid sense of humor. are you listening?? look at this

silco lives for poorly timed jokes that are so dry and self serving.

Bio: Born from nothing and destined to die in filth, that trajectory has never been good enough for the vicious, ambitious Eye of Zaun. Fearing the consequences of that meteoric rise, the one man he ever fully trusted with his life, Vander, sought to take it and attempted to strangle and drown him in Zaun’s tainted waters. The experience, rather than weakening him with its mutative properties, made him stronger of mind, if not body. Appearance: Swanky accountant with a fucked up eye. Middling height, slim, weasel-like features.

Personality: Absolutely ruthless, he nevertheless is possessed of a good sense of humor and vast patience. He is a man who is willing to play the long game and not afraid to get his hands dirty. Sometimes these things combine to disastrous ends—though rarely for him.

-Devil In Disguise- Let me tell you, this suit was a pain to color but i must say, i like the outcome. Was playing around with some background ideas & then this happened. I think some devil horns would suit him pretty good. Also, do you know this meme which goes like "If evil, why so hot?" or smth along those lines - ANYWAYS it always makes me think of silco. Floatie Friend - WIP

-There´s a monster inside all of us - Finishes yesterdays Silco Piece- i really was not sure what to make of it, but one thing lead to another and BOOM here we are. I challenged myself to not blend at all. I tend to overuse the blending / smudge tool…but this time i wanted to see how it´ll look without ANY blending. That´s the result and I am not mad about it :-) I had hella fun drawing this & Silco is my all time favorite comfort character. He´s a great "subject" to help get out of artblock. Hope ya´ll enjoy♥

Father & Daughter - I imagine Silco & Jinx/ Powder, walking like that through the lanes. Wholesome Father Daughter moment.♥ I was so inspired while watching the Q&A with the cast. And really felt the connection between Mia Sinclair Jenness & Jasonspisak , they did such an amazing and emotionally touching job as Powder & Silco. ♥First slide and second slide are different Versions.
