RANK ONE.
In Earl View Academy, everyone wanted to live Jungwon’s life. He was a son everyone wanted—not his words—and that made him feel good about himself. Even if he was quite the goofball, he still aced all his assignments while having fun.
His life was perfect.
“Jungwon!” His friend, Baekseung called, gaining his attention almost immediately. The boy looked over at his brown-haired friend with a smile, pausing the movements of his pencil gliding against his notebook.
“Hm?” He hummed, waiting for his friend to continue talking. Baekseung took a seat on the window sill beside Jungwon as Minji walked into the classroom.
“Did you see the banner they hung up? It has something to do with University, I believe.” He said as Minji walked towards them.
“Here.” She held out her phone, showing the boys a picture of the banner. It showcased a brief description of what to expect when applying to the University of Seoul and the date of submission—February 9th of 2024.
Jungwon’s birthday.
It was perfect timing, almost as if it was destined to be. His reputation at school and his relationship with his teachers would easily help him get accepted, right?
“The acceptance rate is 40%, which isn’t all bad, but many people apply, so…” Minji explained, turning off her phone, and shoving it into her back pocket. Jungwon tapped his pencil against his chin to a random, yet consistent rhythm in his head.
Jungwon’s friends always enabled his confidence. He was aware of his smartness, but they made it seem bigger than it really was.
“Although a lot of people apply, I’m sure you’ll get accepted. Your application will catch their eyes immediately, trust me.”
Jungwon bit back a smile at Baekseung’s words, sending him an amused nod instead.
“I’m sure it will.” He replied, returning his focus to his notes. Before his friends appeared, he was working on a few equations, to make sure they stuck with him for their test.
It was his way of studying; learn the materials in class and study them like his life depended upon it.
It worked like a charm every time.
“I don’t get how you understand these things.” Baekseung said while peeking over at his work. Jungwon smiled, letting out a chuckle.
He never did, it wasn’t anything new.
“See, you start with your values, then you write out your formula and substitute your variables for your numbers—”
“Enough! You lost me at the word ‘values.’” He exclaimed, causing both Jungwon and Minji to laugh.
“Hey, when you get accepted into the University of Seoul, don’t forget me.” Baekseung pleaded and leaned in with his hands desperately clasped together.
“I won’t, I won’t.”
Jungwon dropped his pencil, letting it lay flat on his notebook, and placed his hands on top of Baekseung’s.
“You have nothing to worry about.” He said, playing along with Baekseung’s act.
“I don’t get how I was pulled into this trio,” Minji said, cringing at the sight before her.
“Yeah, me neither.” Baekseung smiled at Jungwon, then, removed his hands from underneath his, and returned to his spot on the window sill.
“Oh well, here we are now. You love us, right?” Jungwon teased, the cringing expression never leaving Minji’s face.
The two boys stared at her in silence, waiting for her response. They wouldn’t let her off the hook if she didn’t open her mouth to say anything.
“Fine. I do.” She replied, earning bright smiles from her friends in return. She shook her head, a small smile making its way to her face.
It was impossible to avoid their faces. Even if they weren’t trying, they still managed to swoon her over with one look. They were unstoppable together.
Jungwon went back to studying as Minji and Baekseung playfully bickered over a past memory. It was a common occurrence, nothing new.
“I heard they’re selling Yakult in the cafeteria today!” A classmate said to their friend, gaining the three’s attention immediately.
They stopped what they were doing and looked at each other. They gave each other a look that only they could understand. There were no words shared, only their eyes held their words.
Soon after, Baekseung and Jungwon got up from their spots, following behind Minji who led them out of the classroom.
Yakult was their favourite thing ever. It was something all three of them could agree on—that they tasted delightful. Other than that, they all had different tastes in a way.
“Finally, they’re bringing it back!” Minji cheered, happier than ever. Baekseung, who stood in the middle, wrapped his arms around the two to pull them in closer.
“Do we have a plan?” He asked as Minji scoffed.
“Do we even need one? Just do whatever your mind tells you to.” She said and he nodded.
“Smart choice.”
The two conversed alone just as they did back in the classroom, except Jungwon wasn’t studying. He could’ve been included in their conversation right now, they weren’t excluding him at all.
He just didn’t pay attention. He didn’t even take note that they were talking because it all sounded muffled to him.
All he paid attention to was his homeroom teacher who walked down the hallways, lips moving as if he was talking to someone, but Jungwon didn’t know who.
Once he walked past, it was then revealed. A girl stood fairly behind his homeroom teacher, catching Jungwon’s attention.
He had no clue who she was, nor had he ever seen her face before, he ‘didn’t’ even care about what her name was, what time she arrived, what foods she liked, why she was wearing their school’s uniform, or what she had for breakfast.
All he cared about was how pretty she was, and fine, maybe what her name was too. Previously, if someone were to tell him about another being heaven-sent he wouldn’t understand them.
Now, he really does because she, she was heaven-sent to him at least.
“You okay?” Baekseung asked, looking over at Jungwon’s dazed figure. He shook Jungwon with the arm that rested over his shoulder, startling the poor boy.
“Huh? Oh, yeah. I’m okay.”
Well, he hoped he was.
“Sweet, if I’m not wrong, lunch starts in about 3 minutes. Therefore, I believe we’ll be first…” Baekseung paused, his voice growing quieter at the sight before them.
“… In line.” His words were almost like a whisper. He was practically speechless at the line. At least 20 students were already waiting for their Yakult’s.
“Yeah, um, maybe we do need a plan,” Minji said, regretting her previous words. There was no way they’d get through a line like this one.
“Maybe? We 100% need a plan.” Baekseung said, his arms slipping off their shoulders.
“I’m sure we’ll be fine if we just wait. It can’t be that bad—Woah! Okay. Maybe it is bad.” Jungwon’s reassuring words were cut off by his shocked ones.
The line extended even further. How was that even possible?
“Hey, Min, what time is it?” Jungwon asked Minji as she checked her phone that previously sat in her back pocket.
“11:37 AM.” She replied, still flabbergasted at the number of students waiting for their Yakult’s.
“Do you think that will be enough time to visit the nearest convenience store and then come back?” Jungwon asked, desperate for an escape. He was still craving a Yakult, but they wouldn’t get one at this rate.
“It’s 27 (81 Fahrenheit) degrees Celsius outside…”  Baekseung muttered, mentally sweating at the thought.
“We can get ice cream as well…” Jungwon whispered, scared that the line of students would overhear his words and run after them.
What if they were craving ice cream too? It wasn’t just the three of them who were feeling hot.
“Smart choice. Yeah, let’s do that instead.” Minji cautiously walked away from the entrance of the cafeteria, careful not to make a sound as the two boys did the same.
Yes, they were being very dramatic right now, but that line of students was very intimidating.
The three returned to class with leftovers of their ice creams, hoping nobody would ask them for at least one lick—it was disgusting to know that they were serious.
“Oh, Jungwon,” Minji said, remembering something from earlier. Jungwon hummed in response, his mouth full of ice cream.
“Did you even start your applications? Our midterms are soon, so I’m sure our guidance counsellors are going to approach you about it.”
“Are you worried for me? Or do you want to use my application as a template for yours?”
“I…” Minji stayed silent as Baekseung stifled a laugh. She sent him a glare, causing him to clear his throat. What was he laughing at? He was bound to do the same exact thing.
“Fine, you caught me. But hey, I have no idea what I’m supposed to do!” She exclaimed as Jungwon chuckled, getting up from his seat to throw away his ice cream wrapper.
“If you want, I can assist you—”
“Guys, guys!” A classmate shouted while running into the classroom shocked. Everyone’s heads turned to look at the said boy, more confused than ever. What lie was he about to spurt next?
“I just saw a pretty, pretty girl in the teacher’s office. I think she’s a new student.” He explained, however, nobody reacted.
“Are you lying to cover up the fact you were being scolded in the office?” Another classmate asked, causing laughs to erupt from other students in the room. Jungwon smiled to himself, that was a good one.
“I’m serious! I heard she might even be smarter than Jungwon!” The student exclaimed, causing Jungwon’s smile to falter and his pen to stop moving.
All eyes were focused on him as he slowly looked up at the shouting boy.
“Eh, I’m sure there’s no one who can compare to his level!” Baekseung said, patting Jungwon on his shoulder and smiling.
Jungwon was considered very smart for someone his age. It was a common compliment he received, but he didn’t hate it. It was quite ego-boosting.
“Everyone! Have a seat please.” Ms. Eun walked through the doors of their classroom, and another student walked in a few moments later.
“Obviously, I’m sure you’re aware of the new student joining our class today! Please make (Name) (Last Name)  feel welcome in our classroom!” She explained as Jungwon’s eyes widened.
You were the same girl he saw in the hallways earlier. For some reason, his heart skipped a beat and his ears went numb at the sight of you.
“Oh, Jungwon. (Name) also got perfect on the entrance exam and was the top student at her old school. It must be great to meet someone at your level.” Ms. Eun smiled as all the emotions Jungwon had felt earlier plummeted.
So his classmate wasn’t lying. There was really someone who matched his skill of knowledge.
You looked over at the boy Ms. Eun referred to, noticing the way his expressions switched. At first glance, he was calm, but his eyes said otherwise.
They held an emotion you’ve never seen in anyone else’s—a desire to win. And, of course, you wouldn’t let him achieve that goal of his.
If someone were to win and maintain that top student rank, it would be you and you only.
You two hadn’t even spoken to one another, but within those 2 minutes of staring into each other’s eyes, it was obvious you both saw each other as a threat.
No matter what, only one of you can have that title.
RANK TWO.
“Jungwon, you haven’t looked up from your notebook this whole class,” Minji said, turning around in her seat to face him.
“Literally! There’s not even a single test coming up. What is there to be reviewed at this point?” Baekseung chimed in with a frown.
Yet, Jungwon didn’t look up, easily proving their point. It had been a week since you first arrived at Earl View Academy.
A week since Jungwon first felt threatened by your appearance. His life was perfect until you arrived.
His friends swore they hadn’t had one single hangout since then, but he said otherwise.
“You do know, you reviewing your notes while Minji and I converse without you, isn’t a hangout right?”
Jungwon’s pencil stopped moving for a brief moment, only to start up again at an even faster pace.
He couldn’t fall behind you.
He glanced over at your focused state, glaring in the process. You seemed to be at ease and he wasn’t.
That should’ve been him.
What happened to the perfect life that everyone wanted to live? The one where he could be happy and carefree even while passing all his classes with 100s?
“Don’t tell me you feel threatened—”
Jungwon’s pencil-led snapping silenced Baekseung’s voice almost immediately. He looked up at his friend, eyes darker than usual. There wasn’t his signature gleam that complimented his dimpled smile. He looked like he was ready to kill someone.
“Minji…” Baekseung called, signalling for her to take over the conversation. Sadly, that failed. She was just as scared as him.
“Hey, I could, uh… I could sharpen this for you!” She exclaimed, instead of continuing the same topic as before.
She took the pencil out of his hold, but Jungwon silently searched his pencil case for another one.
He had no time to waste. He was almost done with his notes.
Minji took her seat again, placing the boy’s broken pencil beside his notebook with a soft, yet dragged-out ‘okay.’
There would’ve been no point in going anyway.
“Dude, why don’t you let loose a bit?” A classmate said to their friend and began shaking their shoulders.
“I can’t! You know how my mom is about my grades right now…” He mumbled, embarrassed.
The boy from earlier grabbed his basketball that rolled under his desk and bounced it around him.
“I know you want to play basketball right now, but that’s okay. I’ll just play with Jungwon and his friends.” He informed his friend, turning to look at Jungwon who wasn’t paying attention.
“Yo, Jungwon! Catch this!” He shouted, alerting both of his friends, but him.
He passed the ball, expecting Jungwon—or even Baekseung—to catch the ball, however, there was nothing.
Instead, the loud thud of a ball hitting your head, echoed throughout the classroom. At least, that managed to catch Jungwon’s attention.
Your pen fell out of your hand, landing on the desk. Your ears began to ring as frustration—and a bit of lightheadedness—took over your system.
“Oh shit, I’m so sorry.” The classmate said, making his way over to you with a worried look.
It was only your second day and you were making enemies.
Yet, you couldn’t bother to accept his apology. You looked at him with a facial expression that not even his mom had ever given him. He was terrified.
“Does this classroom look like a circus to you?” You asked as a throbbing pain slowly began to settle in your head.
“Are you so unskilled that you can’t even hold a basketball properly? Actually, are you so childish to the point where you aren’t aware of classroom rules?”
The atmosphere of the classroom vastly shifted. It was quite intense and unsettling.
His mouth opened and closed like a fish out of water stunned by your words. He was speechless, how could he respond to that?
“Please leave me alone, you’d only be a distraction to my studies.” With that said, you returned to your work, acting as if the boy in front of you didn’t exist.
Jungwon’s brows furrowed at the sight, you were being so mean and for what?
The boy shamefully walked back to his seat as all his friends held in their laughs. He was already embarrassed enough, their laughs only adding to the fire.
Forget what Jungwon said about you being heaven-sent, the Devil must’ve sent you instead. He swore if he stared even longer, horns would grow on your head at any given moment.
So, he looked away and continued taking his notes.
“She seems mean,” Baekseung whispered to the two around him. Minji nodded in agreement, mentioning how she got chills from how you stared at the boy.
You proceeded to rub at your temples in an attempt to force away the throbbing migraine coming your way. You couldn’t take a break from studying.
You had to finish reviewing this material before anything at all—not even a meal break was allowed in your Book of Rules.
“What do you guys want to do for lunch?” Baekseung asked, gaining Jungwon and Minji’s attention again.
“I heard they’re going to play Basketball in the gym. You two should play as well!” Minji exclaimed, which only resulted in Jungwon’s head perking up at the sport.
“I’m down,” Jungwon said almost immediately. Baekseung and Minho’s eyebrows rose at his quick decision. It was almost as if he wasn’t studying his butt off while ignoring his two chattery friends a moment ago.
“Are you sure? I thought you had to revise your notes.” Baekseung verbalised his confusion as Jungwon began packing up his belongings.
“I already understand everything. A + B = X times 6–”
“Okay! Okay. No more Math, please.” Baekseung was quick to halt Jungwon’s equation with his index finger. He slowed down his pace when zipping up his backpack, taking in the words Baekseung uttered before.
A smile made its way to the boy’s face at the realisation of his friend's confusion. Baekseung definitely had no clue what they were learning in class.
“Hurry! I don’t want to be late for team decisions.” He exclaimed, hopping off of the desk he sat on.
Jungwon waved off his friend’s pestering and walked out of the classroom, the two trailing behind him.
You, on the other hand, struggled to focus on your work. The whole classroom was quiet and you were the only one left. Everyone had left for lunch, but you.
Yes, you loved quiet, however your migraine didn’t. The accompanied silence only made your migraine throb even more, a faint mic feedback noise to back it up.
Almost like you had a fever.
You placed your pencil down beside your notebook on your desk and stood up from your seat.
A quick stop at the nurse's office wouldn’t hurt anyone, right? It would benefit your studying session and get rid of your pain quite easily.
That was the only exception to your Book of Rules when it came to studying. Nothing else.
Jungwon shot the ball into the hoop, his hair and necktie flowing with his every movement. His uniform sleeves were rolled up, cuffed around the skin above his forearm, helping his gameplay style quite well.
Baekseung smiled at his friend, high-fiving him in the process.
“Nice one! They won’t beat us at this rate.” He said, looking at the scoreboard that read 17-9. Maybe he wasn't exaggerating it like every other time.
Jungwon grinned, his dimples showing faintly. It wasn’t an all-tooth grin, more toothless. His lips were pursed into a thin line and his cheekbones were nearing his under eyes. It was enough to show his appreciation for his friend’s compliment.
His forehead was becoming a slightly sweaty state, causing his previously parted bangs to clump together and loosely stick to the damped skin.
There were 8 more points until the match was done. They didn’t have much time to play 4 full quarters, so they made a bet; first to 25 wins.
Sadly, no rewards could have been won by the players, making this Basketball game more enjoyable than competitive.
Jungwon didn’t have enough time though, he would almost need to return to studying quite soon. Seriously, he couldn’t fall behind someone like you.
“Baek,” Jungwon whispered, hoping it was enough to gain his friend’s attention who stood across from him on the court, but it wasn’t enough at all.
“Baekseung!” Jungwon called while raising his voice a bit over his usual tone. The said boy looked over with widened eyes in shock.
“Sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you,” Jungwon said, fighting back a snicker at his friend’s startled state.
“Well, I have to go now. Tell Min I said bye too.” He said and walked past Baekseung, patting his shoulder as a way of saying goodbye.
As he walked out of the gymnasium doors, he shook his head, causing his hair strands to move around, some still sticking on his forehead.
He stretched his limbs and began revising the lesson from earlier.
The hallways were empty, leaving him with more of a quiet atmosphere to focus on his thoughts.
Jungwon’s lips moved, soft whispers of equations and problems leaving them. If there were other people here, they would give him the dirtiest looks right now. He most definitely looked psychotic.
Luckily, there wasn’t anyone. Yet.
The sound of the door sliding shut caught his attention and he looked up to see where it came from.
The nurse’s office was always a popular spot in their school, so it wasn't a shock that someone was leaving the room at this exact moment.
Surprisingly, it was a shock to him. He never thought you were the type to leave your desk ever.
Your brows furrowed at the sight before you.
A sight of disgust.
Yang Jungwon was the last person you wanted to see with your throbbing migraine. He was all sweaty, his hair glistened from the sweat droplets that stuck onto the strands, his necktie was loose, his uniform was dishevelled, and his face was a light shade of red due to the hotness of the gymnasium.
He looked disgusting.
Jungwon had no clue as to why you were glaring at him. He wasn’t the reason you ended up visiting the nurse’s office, so why were you giving him such a dirty look?
He should be the annoyed one at this exact moment. After all, you were the one who moved to Earl View Academy and ruined his ‘perfect’ life.
He looked back at you with a confused yet irritated expression on his features as the two of you stood in silence.
Jungwon’s eyes looked over your appearance, noticing how your hand was propped against your chest and holding an item he had seen before.
Your eyes followed his gaze and then widened at realisation. Out of reflex, you hid the painkillers behind your back, not wanting to come off as weak towards him.
You couldn’t let him see you as someone who wasn’t that much of a threat to his academic success.
In silence, you turned around, moving the pill bottle to your chest again, and made your way back to the classroom. For some reason, your movements aggravated Jungwon’s previous calm state.
God, he hated you so much. He couldn’t believe he once thought you were pretty—it would be a lie if he said he still didn’t. That didn’t matter though, you could be pretty and still have a snotty attitude.
That was a perfect description for you.
Although you thought you left Jungwon behind in front of the nurse’s office, to your dismay, you didn’t.
There he was, standing at the doorway of your once previous quiet study room—or in other words, your homeform classroom.
You rolled your eyes after noticing him at the doorway and looked back at your notes.
He ignored your response to his presence and took a seat at his desk near the window. Jungwon slipped his hand into his backpack, grabbing his pencil case and notebook in the process.
A tense silence followed the two of you as you flipped your pages in sync and continued writing down more things in sync.
You were pausing more than he was due to the pain in your head which only slowed down your movements even more. Yes, you planned on taking the painkillers, but not when he was around.
Still, you couldn’t hold back. You had to do it or else you wouldn’t be able to study one bit.
Although the painkillers mentioned eating a meal before intaking the pills, you refused to follow the instructions. You had no time to take a break and find something to fill your stomach, especially when you were already falling behind Jungwon’s studying pace.
You reached for your bottle of water off your desk and popped a pill in your mouth, scarfing down water right after.
Jungwon looked up at the sound of pills shaking in a bottle. It was obvious it came from you, you were the only other person in the classroom.
It seemed like the basketball to your head earlier really took a toll on you. He didn’t blame you though, it truly did sound like it hurt.
Except, that wasn’t the only thing he noticed. Even if he was in one place all lunch, it seemed like you didn’t leave your seat at all. It was kept the exact same like he last saw it before lunch time.
Luckily, the sound of your stomach growling was enough to answer his unsaid question as he watched your ears turn a shade of red.
As much as you tried to pretend that didn’t happen, you were tremendously embarrassed. Still, you couldn’t eat.
Not yet at least.
“You didn’t hear that.” You mumbled, hoping it was loud enough for Jungwon to catch. He hummed in response while eyeing his work, not paying much attention to your silly incident.
He knew how embarrassing it could have been, so it was best not to engage.
Thankfully, God was on your side, ringing the bell a few seconds after Jungwon had hummed.
Soon after, students began flooding into the classroom and heading to their seats in loud crowds.
Therefore, your quiet time with the last person you wanted to spend it with, had ended.
RANK THREE.
“Jungwon and (Name), please come up and answer the questions on the board.”
Great.
It was only 10:30 AM on a Wednesday, and yet you were already going head-to-head with your rival.
Jungwon confidently made his way to the chalkboard and picked up a piece of chalk from the ledge.
You, on the other hand, paused for a moment after getting up from your seat. You were suddenly feeling lightheaded, and that was never a good sign.
However, if you didn’t make it over fast enough, he would for sure beat you in a blink. And so, you did. You rushed over and picked up a chalk stick, then began writing.
It was a simple equation to you, but to everyone else who didn’t understand the lesson, it wasn’t. It was way more complex to them than how it really was.
Jungwon was already halfway through answering the question whilst you haven’t even started. You wrote the given values on the side to keep track of the numbers you would use.
Easy, right?
Not quite.
You couldn’t focus at all even if there were no distractions nor was it loud in your classroom.
The only thing you could hear was the harsh sounds of Jungwon pressing his chalk against the board after he reached a new step.
Your ears became sensitive to any sound, causing you to even take note of the rhythm his piece of chalk followed when gliding against the blackboard. It was irritating you and annoying.
As much as you wanted to stop him from writing, you couldn’t because it was impossible. Your hand wouldn’t move one bit. Your vision became blurry, eyes fluttering shut and opening in a pattern.
“I think I’m going to faint.” You whispered, your words falling deaf on all ears, aside from Jungwon’s.
He didn’t pay much attention to your sentence, brushing it off as a dumb remark about his handwriting or something.
Truthfully, his calligraphy wasn’t the best when it came to using chalk, so you wouldn’t be wrong if you were to say something mean about it. He would only end up agreeing in the end.
Everything stilled for a brief moment before you lost your feeling in your hands, dropping the piece of chalk you held, and falling against the hardwood floor right after.
Gasps were emitted from your classmates—ones you couldn’t even hear—as Jungwon stilled his movements at the loud thud which caused him to flinch slightly.
Jungwon looked down as he still pressed the chalk on the board, his eyes widening and blood draining from his face at the sight.
“(Name)?” Your teacher called, hurriedly making her way towards your unconscious figure. However, there was no response.
“Hey, Jungwon, you were on the track team last year, right?” Ms. Ling asked as he nodded, swallowing and hoping the nauseated feeling in his stomach would disappear.
Spoiler alert—it didn’t.
“Could you run her to the nurse’s office, please?” She asked, leaving the boy with no other choice but to say yes. If he were to say no, he would seem like a villain, and he couldn’t let that happen.
“Okay.” He mumbled and placed the chalk on the ledge before crouching down, slipping an arm under your legs, and wrapping one around your back for extra support.
To his surprise, you were awfully light. A little too light for an average person. It was quite concerning.
Jungwon shook his head, making all his thoughts disappear in the process. He had no time to waste, he had to get you to the nurse’s office quickly—his teacher’s words, not his.
He slid open the door with his foot, shocked that he even managed to succeed himself, and placed you on an unoccupied bed.
Mrs. Oh, the nurse, emerged from her office with a concerned look after noticing the rush Jungwon was in.
“What’s wrong?” She asked before seeing you who lied unconsciously on the bed.
“She fainted a few moments ago in class.” He explained while running a hand through his hair, followed by a sigh.
“Fainted?” The nurse asked and made her way to your still figure, reaching out to touch your pulse points.
“I don’t think it’s a fatal issue. Just hang around for a bit, I’ll run some short tests then you can tell your teacher why she fainted.” Mrs. Oh said as Jungwon nodded.
He could just ask for the notes from Minji after class.
A few moments later, Mrs. Oh returned with a clipboard in her hand and a concerned look on her face.
“Is it bad?” Jungwon asked, slightly worried about her response.
“Oh, no.” Mrs. Oh said, reassuring the boy, then opened her mouth to say something else.
“Thing is, she hasn’t eaten for the last two days.”
What?
RANK FOUR.
Jungwon walked down the hallways of the school, heading to the vending machine nearby. Mrs. Oh’s words replayed in his head many times. It had been a day since your visit to the nurse’s office, but he was still hooked on Mrs. Oh’s discovery.
He didn’t know why he cared that you hadn’t eaten for two days. That was your problem not his.
Yet, he couldn’t help but feel quite worried about your health. How the hell were you still at his level of academic achievements even if you weren’t eating to fuel your brain?
It was crazy. Not even he could survive an hour without a small snack to keep him going. So, how did you even manage to survive?
More of Mrs. Oh’s words flooded through Jungwon’s head, mainly focusing on the fact she put him in charge of making sure you were eating.
Was it not obvious you two hated each other? Well, maybe not since you were fast asleep, but to him it was.
What the hell was he supposed to do to monitor your food intake? Buy you snacks and drinks from the vending machines at their school?
Actually… that wasn’t such a bad idea. It could work for him, but would it work for you? Would you even accept his offers?
You were hard to work with in the first place. There was no way he would follow upon Mrs. Oh’s request. That was your problem and only yours. Not his.
Nevertheless, that didn’t explain the fact he was currently punching in the number two into the vending machine, expecting two granola bars to follow through the hole.
Of course, it wouldn’t be enough to fill him up this lunch, but he had no other choice. He was already exhausted enough from playing football outdoors, leaving him with no more energy to wait in line for food in the cafeteria.
He grabbed the granola bars and made his way to room 116—his home room.
He was excited for the peace and quiet he was about to experience. Nobody ever came to school this early. It was 7:30 AM after all.
School started at 8:20 AM.
If you were to show up at the bell, he could save the granola bar until lunch and give it to you when the room was empty.
Nobody could know that he was interacting with you, especially not after you two made it clear you wanted nothing to do with each other.
“Oh, hey, Jungwon! It’s been quite a bit since I saw you first thing in the morning.” A faculty member said, greeting the boy. He smiled at the teacher and nodded.
It wasn’t a lie. Jungwon always came early, yes, but he never went straight to class. He was either shooting hoops in the gym or doing his morning jog around the track in the field.
The September breeze blew the trees outside as Jungwon watched the leaves sway while walking to class. The windows in the hallways were wide, emitting a bright light into Earl View Academy.
It really suited the vibe he was going for.
But you didn’t.
Jungwon noticed your focused figure, his mood dropping immediately. He was glad you were okay, but not glad that you were in class.
He wanted alone time today, nothing else.
Jungwon put on a straight face, avoiding eye contact with you while walking to his seat. He swiftly placed the granola bar on your desk and moved away as if he didn’t.
You looked down at the granola bar, then to the boy who walked away in silence.
Before you could say anything, he was quick to silence your ‘irritating’ voice.
“Just eat it. Mrs. Oh is making me monitor your meals even if I don’t want to.”
He said without any other explanation. You looked back at the granola bar, hearing Jungwon sit down and begin opening his snack due to the loud rustling of the wrapper.
Instead of doing the same, you pushed the granola bar to the side and returned back to your studies. Once again, your ‘Book of Rules’ said no meals until you were done reviewing.
Jungwon opened his notebook, flipping through the filled pages to find an empty one and begin his studying. He was holding the granola bar in one hand and eating at the same time.
It wasn’t hard at all, which only confused him since you weren’t doing the same.
“Aren’t you going to eat it?” He asked, but you ignored him, staring into your notebook in silence.
The boy scoffed, looking out the window in disbelief. He doesn’t even know why Mrs. Oh trusted him with this ‘task’. He couldn’t say no though, he would have felt guilty to face her again.
Honestly, he was still shocked at the news from yesterday. What did she mean you didn’t eat for 2 days?
Was this an often routine of yours? Was that why you were so concerningly light when he carried you? You were always studying and never seemed like you took any breaks, which only left him wondering.
Seriously, did you ever eat?
“What?” You asked, stiffening and turning around to look at the bow. There was a look of annoyance present on your face, only causing Jungwon to stare back in confusion.
“What?” He questioned back. Why were you looking at him like that even after you blatantly ignored him a moment ago?
“Why is it your business if I ever eat or not?”
Hold on. Did Jungwon think aloud earlier? Was that why you were acting this way?
“I…” He said, fumbling over his words. Truly, how should he respond to that? You weren’t wrong about it not being his business to care—even if you didn’t say that.
He didn’t want to care if you did or not. Still, he couldn’t explain why he was so curious about it.
“Mrs. Oh told me in the nurse’s office that you fainted because your last meal was two days ago…” Jungwon began as your brows furrowed.
“So? Why should you care if that were to happen or not?” You asked.
Once again, you weren’t wrong.
“You’re telling me, you wouldn’t be a little bit concerned about someone who hadn’t eaten for 2 days?”
“If it was part of my business, sure, but if it’s not, then no.”
Jungwon pursed his lips, unsure of what to say next. He tried to think of it, but it ended up coming out on his own. He would definitely regret this later.
“Why?” He started.
“Why do you do that?”
You remained silent and so did he. There was an obvious tension in the air and the both of you felt it easily.
You averted your eyes away from his overpowering gaze, suddenly feeling all fragile due to his sudden question.
“Mind your own business.” You mumbled before turning around to face your desk again.
Normally, you’d return to studying immediately, but this time you were quiet as you stared at your notebook.
You always had answers for questions. Always. However, nobody had ever asked you a question like that, and for some reason, you couldn’t find an answer for it.
Jungwon sighed and shook his head. He didn’t blame you for not answering and getting all defensive instead. It was a question that could pry into anyone’s private life, and obviously, you two were nowhere near a basis like that.
“At least eat the granola bar. I don’t want Mrs. Oh on my ass about anything.” He said before picking up his pencil and writing on his plain notebook.
At the sound of his words, your gaze shifted to the pink wrapper on the granola, noticing how it was strawberry flavoured, one of your favourites.
Maybe you could reconsider eating the snack he got you even if it was going against your rules. It was obvious he wouldn’t leave you alone if you didn’t.
You unwrapped the granola bar, making sure to not crush the treat inside as the bell went so suddenly.
You were both shocked at how much time went past at such a fast pace as a certain thought crossed your mind.
It was time to start another school day.
RANK FIVE.
Ever since that day, Jungwon continuously dropped you off snacks in a discreet manner.
Although you never wanted to eat them, he made you. Your secret rule was slowly being forgotten because of his actions.
“Hey,” he called from his window seat, causing you to remove an earbud from your ear.
“Are you allergic to anything?”
“Why?”
Jungwon stared at you in silence. Were you really asking him that question?
“So I don’t get you anything that’ll kill you…” He said in a tone of disbelief, but you didn’t react.
“Why are you still doing this? Mrs. Oh must’ve forgotten about my visit by now. You can stop.”
You turned away and continued writing in your notebook, leaving Jungwon baffled.
He hated how you were never wrong. Mrs. Oh definitely forgot about your visit from a few weeks ago, but Jungwon couldn’t stop his habit of giving you snacks.
Why?
“You’re telling me you rather faint continuously?” Jungwon asked, halting the hand that went to put your earbud in your ear.
“That’s not a healthy habit. Seriously, you’re going to end up visiting the ER next.”
“As if that hasn’t happened before.” You mumbled and successfully put your earbud in your ear.
Jungwon’s face contorted in confusion, unsure of what you had said. It didn’t seem like the remark he expected, but he shrugged it off.
Whatever.
“Jungwon!” Baekseung exclaimed, running up to the boy and hugging him from behind.
Jungwon stumbled over his feet at the sudden embrace as Minji chuckled from behind the two.
“You’re acting like you haven’t seen him in a decade.” She said, crossing her arms once she reached them.
The hallway they stood in was empty—aside from the 3 being there.
Jungwon wasn’t even aware that he was in the hallway at the moment. His mind was elsewhere when he left the classroom.
Yes, he said he didn’t care about what you said, but he secretly did.
Did he hit a nerve or did he hit one of your soft spots? For the last few weeks, it was obvious there was a lot to you that nobody knew of, yet, Jungwon was close to finding them out.
He felt bad due to your reaction from earlier and a few days ago. Maybe he should really watch what he says from now on.
“What’s up? Do you have your head up in the clouds or something?” Baekseung asked, teasingly.
Jungwon shook out of his thoughts and looked at the boy.
“That was terrible. Never say that again.” He said, causing Baekseung to frown and Minji to laugh.
“Still, he’s right. What’s up with you lately?” Minji asked.
The three walked down the hallways, passing time before their next period started.
“What do you mean what’s up with me?” He asked, confused at their questions.
“You’re constantly spacing out today. Plus, you’re never running or playing basketball outside in the mornings either. I haven’t seen you for a bit every time I arrive at school.” Baekseung explained.
“Dude!” He exclaimed, tapping Jungwon’s shoulder to bring him back from his trance.
Jungwon looked over at Baekseung, startled from the harsh tap.
“What was that for?!” He exclaimed.
“You were doing it again. Seriously, what’s up with you?”
The three remained silent upon Baekseung’s question; Minji and Baekseung waited for Jungwon’s response while he thought of one.
What the hell was he supposed to say?
“Is it her?” Minji asked, chiming into Jungwon’s thoughts.
“Your rival.” She added after seeing Jungwon’s confused face.
He didn’t reply to her question, instead he stayed quieter than ever. Not a peep came out of his mouth. They were almost sure he stopped breathing too.
“So it is! I knew it. Pay up, Baekseung.” Minji said with a bright smile on her face while holding her hand out in front of Baekseung.
Baekseung frowned, glaring at Jungwon as he reached into his pocket for the 10 dollar bill he promised Minji. She looked at the buck, facing the light in case it was fake.
“It’s not fake!” He exclaimed as she chuckled.
“You never know.” Minji said and slipped the $10 into her pocket.
“Wait, you guys placed a bet on me?” Jungwon asked in disbelief.
“Well, yeah. I bet that you liked (Name) and Baekseung said you were just hooked on your university applications.” Minji said, leaning closer to Jungwon.
“He knows nothing about love.”
“I do!” Baekseung blurted, embarrassed at Minji’s remark. She looked over at her and shushed him with a finger on his lip.
“No, you don’t. Just accept that.”
Jungwon shook his head, still shocked at what his friends managed to do. Why would he even be hooked on his university applications if he was 100 percent sure he’d get accepted?
Plus, liking you was definitely out of his range. Wait, liking you?
“I don’t like her! What made you ever think that?!” He exclaimed, his hands flying up in defence.
“Yes. Yes, you do. Don’t fear it, Jungwon.”
Minji looked over at the boy with a teasing smile. Jungwon was a little terrified at the look Minji gave him with her finger still over Baekseung’s lips.
She truly seemed psychotic.
He began speed walking away from the two with hopes that he could escape the so-called assumptions. How would Minji know he liked you before he even knew himself?
Pfft, she was completely wrong.
Jungwon looked at the board, writing his last bits of notes with small diagrams to go along with them.
He was starving, but luckily, lunch was soon.
Speaking of lunch, he wondered what snack he should bring you today. You refused to tell him what you were allergic to, so he couldn’t just get you anything.
He looked up from his notebook, stealing a glance at your seat.
Well, he thought it was your seat, but instead, there was someone slouched over the desk instead.
He continued looking around for you, maybe you switched seats without him knowing?
No, that couldn’t be it. He saw you in the same seat this morning before classes. So, was it really you who was slouched over the desk?
That was surprising. You were always the one to be over the top when it came to education, yet, here you were knocked out mid-lesson.
“For homework, please complete pages 4 and 6. Enjoy your day everyone!” The teacher said while closing their lesson planner and leaving the classroom.
The bell sounded, signalling that lunch had begun while Baekseung and Minji took that as a chance to bother their friend, Jungwon.
“Hey!” Baekseung cheered, sitting down on the window sill like always.
Jungwon looked up at the boy with a smile as Minji turned around in her seat.
“Seems like you don’t have much of a competition anymore.” She said, silently hinting at the girl who was fast asleep—you.
Not even the bell woke you up. You must’ve had a rough night then.
Even if it had been 5 seconds since Minji spoke, Jungwon’s eyes never left you. He was genuinely concerned for your wellbeing.
“Baekseung, didn’t you say you wanted to go to the fast food restaurant nearby for lunch today?” Minji asked, looking up at the boy who stared back in confusion.
“What—”
Minji silenced him with a light slap on his leg, sending him a glare and mouthed the words ‘play along.’
“Oh, yeah! I’ve been craving a burger all day.” Baekseung blurted while nonchalantly rubbing on his leg and dragging out the word ‘all.’
“Jungwon, did you want anything from the fast food restaurant?” Minji asked and looked at him.
But he was still stuck in his trance.
“We’ll get him fries.” She whispered to the boy on the window sill. The two left as quietly as they could, leaving you and Jungwon alone in the classroom.
He observed your silent state, watching how your back raised softly as you breathed. The sunlight from the windows shined on your face, making your eyelashes more visible than others.
You looked so peaceful and so relaxed. It was the first time he had ever seen you this calm and not stuffing your head in your notebooks, rubbing at your temples in a stressful way, harshly sighing and placing your pencil down when you were feeling tired or didn’t understand the formula. It was a great sight.
Jungwon was so focused on you that he didn't notice the smile on his face.
He was smiling because of his arch nemesis. Well, could he even call you his arch nemesis if he cared about you so much?
Probably not.
The vending machine beeped as the four items hit the bottom of it. Jungwon reached down to grab the items and made his way back to class.
Was he out of his mind for still getting you snacks? Possibly. But he couldn’t stop himself, it became a habit of his.
At least you never wasted the snacks he got you. There was one point of the day where you would eat them casually, not even paying much attention to the item in your hold. It became a habit of yours too.
Eventually, the rule became forgotten, but only at school. It still affected you at home.
You woke up in a panic. The classroom you sat in was empty, just like your notebook. The one you significantly chose for the subject.
You looked around, eyes squinting at the bright light from the uncovered windows, taking in the fact nobody—not even Jungwon—was with you.
Great. You were so behind—something you hated.
You panicked, looking at the board to only be met with erase marks of today’s lesson. There was no way you could scavenge with something so little.
Out of habit, you looked down at your desk and rubbed at your temples with your fingers, more stressed out than ever.
You couldn’t fall behind nor could you fail. That was your worst nightmare. Did your parents care if you were to fail a class or fall behind? Not at all. They only cared about you and your health, yet you hated that.
Honestly, growing up, you tended to be naturally good at the things you did. Your parents were, of course, super proud of you, but you didn’t think it was enough.
You never thought anything was enough.
So, studying continuously, fainting continuously, and even starving yourself continuously became a natural routine of yours just to seek academic validation.
If you weren’t at the top of your class or your studies, you weren’t sure how your future would turn out. You would probably end up lower than ever.
No wonder you were so frustrated with yourself. How could you slack off, let alone fall asleep all class? That was so not like you.
You were very disappointed.
The feeling of a sudden coldness on your arm made you jolt. You looked up, wondering where it came from, only to notice the boy who stood before you, Yang Jungwon.
You both looked into each other’s eyes—for the first time, you weren’t glaring. Your vision was quite blurry because of the tears that threatened to fall while he could see you perfectly fine.
He nonchalantly placed the beverage on your desk followed by the poptart. He then made his way to his seat and sat down silently.
You stared at the two items on your desk, holding back your tears. There was nothing about the bottled coffee or the poptart that made you emotional, it was yourself and Jungwon.
You were jealous of him.
The more you attended Earl View Academy, the more you noticed how everyone adored the boy. Everyone, including staff members.
He made friends quite easily and got along with anyone possible.
However, you were the complete opposite. You had your own circle which consisted entirely of yourself and your studying materials, nothing else.
You rarely conversed with anyone, but when you did, it was always harsh. Things easily ticked you off, causing you to confront the so-called things pretty quickly.
Due to this, you were never envisioned as someone who was approachable. Even if you were on top of your studies and understood everything going on, not even many teachers took a liking to you.
It was rare to see one that did.
There were a few times where you tried to maintain certain friendships, but they all ended quite fast. Their reasonings were always the same—you never had time to hang out with them, but you always had time to study.
They eventually fell tired of you and left you behind to befriend someone else. They always regretted even trying something with you because it always turned out to be a ‘waste of their time.’
Jungwon placed his opened notebook on your desk so you could copy down the notes he took in class.
“The homework is page 4 and 6 today. If you don’t understand anything, I could explain it to you if you want.” He said before walking back to his seat.
He shouldn’t be this helpful to you. You two were ‘rivals’ after all—something you both silently yet mutually agreed on. Nevertheless, he couldn’t help himself. Even the sight of your tear filled eyes managed to make him feel a bit hurt.
He probably wasn’t even the cause of it, yet he felt like he was.
“How do you do it?” You asked, catching him off guard. He looked up from his phone and at the back of your head because you refused to face him in such a vulnerable state.
“Do what? Oh, the work? Hold on, let me—”
“Not that.” You said, interrupting him as he halted in his tracks.
“…Then what?” He asked hesitantly. He genuinely had no clue what you meant. Either Jungwon couldn’t read between the lines, or he was just too stupid.
“How do I be like you?”
RANK SIX.
Jungwon stood in silence, stunned at your sudden question. He was never asked such a thing from someone like you.
Children were always the one to ask him that exact question, which only left him with one possible answer every time.
“You’re already like me. Smart and strong.”
It was very cringey, but every child felt confident after hearing his words. Still, you were nowhere near a child, so how could he respond to your question?
“What do you mean?” Was all he could think of. He didn’t want you to seem weak or anything, so he kept it simple and short.
Maybe an elaboration would help him with an answer next time.
“You’re so… perfect. All staff members and students adore you, or even look up to you. You always balance your time, making enough space to hangout with your friends and study at the same time. You’re athletic, smart, most likely a great son, and your parents are probably so proud of you for maintaining the top student rank continuously.” You ranted, leaving him flattered and quite flustered but confused at the same time.
“Perfect?” He asked, genuinely curious about what made you think that.
“Yes, you’re so perfect. I’m jealous of you.” You added, finishing off your sentence while turning to face him.
“You’re jealous of me?”
Truly, in Jungwon’s eyes there was nothing about him to be jealous of. He had his own ups and downs, but managed to keep his composure around his friends and many others.
“Honestly, (Name), you’re fine the way you are. Yes, you have some unhealthy habits, but that doesn’t mean they can’t change.” Jungwon said while walking towards the seat in front of you.
“I wouldn’t say I’m perfect either. Of course, I’m going to sound a bit cringey, but all of us have things we don’t show. Like, I could’ve cried on my way to class.”
“Did you?”
“Did I do what?” Jungwon asked while taking a seat.
“Oh. No, that was just an example. I would never cry where people could see or hear.”
His eyes slightly widened as he raised his hands up in defence.
“I didn’t mean you shouldn’t! Do whatever you feel comfortable with.” He said, hoping he didn’t offend you.
You used your sleeves to wipe away the few tears that managed to fall, then looked at the boy in front of you.
“I don’t know why I’m about to tell you this, but I really need to get it off my chest.”
“Go on,” Jungwon said in a soft voice.
Although he waited for you to speak, you hesitated. Could you even trust him? You two started off as rivals, and still were rivals, but didn’t show it as much.
Whatever, speaking your mind wouldn’t hurt.
“Honestly, it’s not that I need to be on top of my work for my parents to adore me, they do. They very much do and show it every day, but it’s me who thinks it is not enough.” You said.
“I believe if I’m distracted, I won’t be able to achieve my academic goals to the fullest, you know?”
Jungwon nodded even if he didn’t get what you meant. He understood achieving your academic goals, but not to the point where he couldn’t do so if he were distracted.
“I mean, yeah, but considering eating meals or taking breaks as a distraction isn’t good for your mental health—or your health in general,” Jungwon explained as your eyes narrowed.
“Are you scolding me right now?”
“Quite literally.”
You rolled your eyes at Jungwon’s words, waving them off as if they meant nothing.
“Pretend this didn’t happen. Tell anyone, and I’ll make sure your life in Earl View Academy is almost unbearable.” You threatened, sending daggers at the boy.
“How so?” He asked, curious as to what tricks you could pull.
“I’ll beat you on every test, I’ll beat you on the final exam, and even make sure you don’t get accepted into University of Seoul.”
“Okay… However, in return, you have to at the very least tell me what you’re allergic to.” Jungwon said with pleading eyes.
You were shocked that was all he wanted in return. He really wanted to know what you were allergic to, but why? What good would that bring him if he knew what you could and couldn’t eat?
“Why are you so curious about that?”
“Dude, you really want me to end up killing you?” His words sounded like he was joking, but he wasn’t.
“No… I could just eat what I know I can and what I know I can’t.”
Jungwon continued to stare at you, waiting for you to give him the actual answer he wanted. You sighed and gave into his silent begs.
“There’s nothing.”
He remained quiet, his head tilting like a lost cat.
“There’s nothing that I’m allergic to. I’ll eat anything.” You informed the boy as he held back a smile.
“Perfect.” He whispered before grabbing the notebook he gave you earlier.
“What do you mean by perfect?” You asked, causing Jungwon to glance at you with a slight smile on his lips.
“You’ll see.”
RANK SEVEN.
To be honest, yesterday you went home wondering what Jungwon was hinting at.
He pretended as if he had never brought up anything and proceeded to teach you today’s materials. It was annoying.
Yes, you wanted to know badly, but begging wouldn’t even get him to tell you anything.
You adjusted your name tag while looking in the mirror, wondering what else you should fix up.
There was 5 minutes before you had to leave for school. Five minutes before you would get to see Jungwon.
You had no clue why you were a bit excited to see him. Usually, you never were. It was weird.
Part of you was glad he listened to what you had to say yesterday, it felt nice to get it off your chest. However, the other part of you felt ecstatic and let your heart thump even at the thought of seeing the boy.
What happened to the part of you that deeply hated him?
You couldn’t start liking Jungwon. At least, not when there was a possibility that he still hated you or saw you like his competition.
Right?
Jungwon stretched his limbs before reaching down to tie his laces. It had been a while since he ran around the track in the morning. He wanted to see if he still had it in him.
He couldn’t let his stamina fall because of his so-called continuous studying habits. It was also a great way to get his mind off of things, for example, you.
After yesterday’s conversation, for some reason he felt terrible about what you said. Was it his fault? No. But obviously, there was a time and place where he was in the same boat as you.
Trust him, it wasn’t the best.
This morning, he woke up extra earlier than usual because he had a lot to do—cook. He hand picked a recipe he believed you both would enjoy, and cooked all morning so it was nice and fresh by lunch.
It was way better than constantly getting snacks from the vending machine. Now, you could actually gain nutrients while eating.
He was very excited.
But why? Why was he excited to share a meal with you? There wasn’t anything going on between, aside from your quiet studying times halfway through lunch, the conversation from yesterday, and the times you two have been paired up or went head-to-head in class.
Other than that, what was there to really be excited about?
Jungwon slowed down his pace, then leaned over while placing his hands on his knees to catch his breath.
Or was he just excited to see you? What was the meaning of all this?
Were you the reason his heart raced as if he did his morning runs whenever he was in class? Were you the reason he was always planning what he wanted to buy the two of you on his way to school? He rarely ever did that when you didn’t attend Earl View Academy.
So, were you really the reason?
You took a seat at your desk, pulling out your studying equipment—a normal routine of yours. You always arrived at the same time, 7:30 AM, with Jungwon arriving a little after.
Shockingly, even with 5 minutes passing, he didn’t appear. That was odd, he was always on time.
You shook your head, brushing off the fact he hadn’t arrived yet. The things he taught you yesterday were the only materials you had to review this morning.
You couldn’t fall behind so easily.
When you went home, you decided to take a break. A was a rare sight since you were always studying all night and all morning, nobody could stop you.
But for some reason, Jungwon was able to change part of your ‘unhealthy’ studying habits. At your old school, it was impossible for that to happen. Not even your short-term friendships changed anything.
It was the same old ‘Book of Rules’ you followed with no updates.
The door slid open, showcasing an exhausted Jungwon. He walked over to the seat in front of you and placed the two snacks in an empty spot on your desk then took a seat.
It wasn’t at his actual desk, instead, it was the one in front of you.
“Why do you seem so tired?” You asked, noticing his droopy eyes.
“I ran around the track today. It’s been a while since I’ve done it, so I guess I pushed my limits.” He explained while yawning. He stretched his arms before examining your desk; there was a partially empty space at the edge of your desk.
It looked like it could fit most of his arms and head.
“Can I?” He questioned while gesturing at the spot from earlier. You nodded, not giving him any other reaction.
Your heart was already racing from the ‘close’ proximity he provided. You had to keep it lowkey.
“Thanks. Wake me up a few minutes before the bell.” He said and dozed off to dreamland.
The classroom fell silent, the only thing being heard was the rustling leaves from the wind that travelled through the sky, your pencil gliding on the piece of paper you wrote on, sounding like music to Jungwon’s ears.
It was a relaxing sound. Not even close to irritating.
There were moments where you snuck in a few glances, noticing the way his face looked peaceful and less irritating than when he was wide awake. His breathing was at a usual pace as his back rose and fell at his command.
He was quite the pretty sleeper.
The formula of your work suddenly started to not make any sense. You searched the article you were looking at, realisation only hitting you a bit after.
You were working on your English, not Math. No wonder your formulas weren’t making any sense. Clearly, with how close Jungwon was to you, it was obvious you couldn’t think straight.
How often did someone mix up English work with Mathematics? It was never that often, and yet, you still managed to make the mistake.
You picked up your highlighter, forgetting about the embarrassing situation from earlier, and began highlighting simple concepts that you would need to remember when answering the questions.
Without you knowing, 30 minutes of silence passed between the two of you. You were surprised he didn’t wake up from the sound of your beating heart, because to you, it was quite loud.
You hesitated on waking up the boy in front of you. He was sound asleep. What if he woke up cranky?
Still, he requested for you to wake him up a few minutes before the bell. He wouldn’t be mad if you did so, right?
You softly placed your hand on his shoulder and gently shook him at a slow pace. There wasn’t much momentum, however, it was still enough to wake him up.
His eyes slowly opened, eyeing the area he sat in.
He could barely see, eyes still blurred with his sleepiness. Jungwon blinked a few times before looking in front of him, spotting your shocked figure.
“Morning.” He mumbled, his words cutting short because of a yawn. He stretched his arms before looking over at the clock.
It was only 8:20 AM. It always shocked you how students weren’t filling up the classroom around this time. They always arrived at least 5 minutes before the bell. Even if it was shocking, it was quite satisfying how everyone was still on time.
“What’re you working on?” Jungwon asked, slightly curious about the reason you held a highlighter.
“English,” you muttered. He hummed at your words and continued to inspect your desk.
“You didn’t eat?” He asked, pointing at the neatly kept snacks. It looked the same as when he first gave you them.
You shook your head. You completely forgot about the snacks. Instead, you were more focused on calming your racing heart, so it wouldn’t have woken him up.
“Eat. At least three pieces before the lesson starts.” He said. The snacks he brought the both of you were a small packet of animal crackers. One of Jungwon’s favourites as a child.
You paused for a moment, debating if you should follow through with his request. He was staring at you, once again, causing you to feel fragile under his gaze. There was no way he would stop if you didn’t eat.
You placed your highlighter down and grabbed one of the two packets. Hopefully, that would help his strong state.
Honestly, you couldn’t help but feel taken care of because of Jungwon’s acts. Your parents were amazing to you. There was no doubt about it. Still, with Jungwon, there was a new feeling you’ve never felt with anyone else.
At your old school, you wouldn’t even have a chance at something like this. If you fainted, there was only a tiny bit of shock from others. It happened very often because of your bad habits that it became so natural to those who studied and worked there.
But if you were to faint around Jungwon or anyone else in this school, they would be very worried. The nurse at Earl View Academy even instructed Jungwon to watch over your eating habits.
At first, you didn’t like the idea of having a so-called babysitter, but eventually it felt nice to know someone possibly cared about you. He started off as your number one threat, and became the person you looked forward to seeing most.
To him, you started off as someone he could never trust and his one and only arch nemesis, and became the person he watched over and enjoyed being around.
Well, look how the tables turned.
“Also,” Jungwon said, chiming into your thoughts. Your attention was then focused onto the boy who stood up from his previous seat with his animal crackers in hold.
“You’re doing great.” He said as the bell rang as if it were completing his sentence.
He sat in his assigned seat at the window while students began filling up the classroom. Maybe they were a little delayed today, but your heart for sure wasn’t.
You were concerned as to why Jungwon’s words had such an effect on your wellbeing, judging from how fast your heart rate was going.
You didn’t even know it was possible to experience such a rush of adrenaline. Your face felt warm as you recalled his words.
Was he perhaps referring to yesterday’s incident?
No matter what the reason was, you’ve never been told something like that. It was always about taking a break and slowing your pace. Even mentioning how you were trying too hard and needed to pay more attention to yourself.
But the words ‘you’re doing great’ were different. It felt like they were filling a void in your life that you didn’t even know existed.
Whatever it was, you were thankful.
Thankful for Jungwon.
Jungwon watched as the ball ricocheted off the rim of the net, sighing in disappointment.
“Gosh, straighten up.” Baekseung said and tossed the ball back to his friend.
The trio stood inside the empty gymnasium, shooting hoops for fun, until it became serious. Baekseung was quite literally concerned for Jungwon’s wellbeing.
He was missing every one of his shots.
“You do remember he did Track and not Basketball like you, Baek, right?” Minji asked while flipping through the pages of her book.
“I mean, yeah, but he’s never this bad.” Baekseung replied, emphasising his words.
“I’m literally right here.”
“Oh, my bad.”
Minji chuckled at the two, looking away at her book while placing a bookmark between the two pages she stopped on.
“Won, what’s on your mind?” She asked.
Great, here comes round two.
“I swear we didn’t put a bet on anything this time. Feel free to tell us anything.”
Jungwon sighed, letting himself loose. It was now or never. He needed to settle things, so he could peacefully continue along with his day.
So…
“How would you confirm your feelings for someone?”
RANK EIGHT.
Minji blinked her eyes in silence as Baekseung held the basketball in his hand with a dropped jaw.
Judging by their reactions, it was obvious they didn’t know what to say, leaving Jungwon feeling embarrassed.
“Nevermind, forget I said that.”
“No, no.” Minji said, shaking her head.
“We were just… stunned, that’s all.” She reassured Jungwon who’s ears turned a light shade of red out of embarrassment.
“Is this about a particular someone?” Minji questioned, slightly wanting it to be you.
She had been noticing the difference between Jungwon’s behaviour now and the first time you arrived. Nowadays, he was always looking at you with adoration in his eyes instead of an intense glare.
It was definitely different between you two.
“You know who it is, don’t you?” Jungwon asked, judging by her expression. It looked like she was holding off on saying something. She was terrible at hiding her expressions.
“Wait, I’m so confused,” Baekseung chimed in, dropping the basketball and making his way closer to the two.
“It’s (Name), right? The atmosphere between you two is so much different than before.”
Jungwon remained quiet upon Minji’s words. She wasn’t wrong, but she was very observant. Even Jungwon hadn’t noticed the change between you and him.
“Your silence is the only answer we need.” Baekseung said with a sly smile.
What? Who wouldn’t act the same way after finding out his best friend had a crush on someone?
“It is…” Jungwon mumbled.
“Okay. First question is… how do you feel when you’re near her?”
Oh.
Well, that could go a long way… There was at least a list of possible feelings, so where should he even start?
“Tingly. I feel tingly.” He said, recalling the moments he was with you.
To be honest, he was shocked you hadn’t realised how red the tip of his ears were when he fell asleep in front of you. It was almost an impossible process for him to sleep, but he managed.
“Sometimes, my ears become warm and my heart flutters at the sight of her smile or if I were to make her laugh…” He paused, thinking of more things to say.
“And—”
“Yeah, you definitely like her.” Baekseung interrupted with a shock yet disgusted look on his face.
“I do?” Jungwon asked, looking at the boy with wide eyes.
Baekseung nodded, causing him to look over at Minji who only did the same as Baekseung in return.
“Are you ever going to tell her?” Minji asked, opening up her book once again.
“I’d embarrass myself terribly. We’re still kinda rivals in some way. Wouldn’t it be weird if I were to suddenly confess my attraction to her?”
“Okay, Shakespeare, what the hell do you mean by attraction?” Baekseung asked as Minji chuckled.
“He means feelings, Baek.”
“Oh… That makes sense. I say do it, what is there to waste? You only live once.” He explained as Jungwon rolled his eyes.
It was a corny saying he had been told all his life, but they were never wrong. Things always turned out good for him if he at least tried them. Therefore, it wouldn’t hurt to profess his love for you, right?
“Jungwon, it’s 11:30, don’t you have to go now?” Minji questioned after checking the time on her phone.
“Ah, right. Thanks Min, thanks Baek.” He said before smiling at them and leaving.
To be honest, Jungwon was expecting a longer explanation to his feelings, but comparing these moments to a book, it was awfully obvious that he liked you. It must’ve flown past his head the first time.
You stared at the clock, awaiting Jungwon’s arrival. This was the first time you had caught yourself doing something like this. Usually, your head would be stuffed in your notebook right now, but after discovering these possible feelings for the boy you spend lunch with daily, things have changed.
Your habits must’ve been one of them.
There were moments where you glanced at the door, hoping that he would appear after every glance, but he didn’t.
“Sorry.” A voice emitted from the doorway, heavy panting followed through. Your head whipped over, noticing the boy you were waiting for all this time. He looked up from the floor, making straight eye contact with you.
He was subtly sweaty, making it obvious that he ran here. Yes, it was a disgusting look, but to you…
He looked disgustingly handsome. It was odd, very odd, that the look made your heartbeat race. You couldn’t deny it, you definitely liked Jungwon.
“You’re late.” You said in a teasing tone. You could care less if he was late or not, but it was fun to joke around with him.
“I’m aware.” Jungwon joked back while walking towards his seat.
“Are you hungry?” He asked while reaching into his backpack. You stayed silent, not sure how to answer that question.
“Be honest.” He said in a serious tone and grabbed the meal he cooked this morning.
“A little bit.” You replied as he took a seat in front of you. You eyed the containers he placed on the empty space, causing you to move your notebooks aside to create more.
He opened the containers one-by-one, leaving you stunned with every single meal. Once he was left with one container, he looked up to see your reaction, smiling at your childish look.
“Does it look good?”
His question brought you out of your trance, causing you to straighten up immediately.
“Yes. It looks great.” You said as Jungwon chuckled at your response. You observed the 3 containers, noticing the different aspects of each; one had greens while the others didn’t.
“Oh, I wasn’t sure if you liked greens, so I separated them just in case.” He explained while pointing at the container you stared at.
You nodded at his words and hummed in amusement. Maybe you were only a tad bit hungry before, but now, you were starving.
“You don’t have to wait for me, you can eat.” Jungwon said, gesturing at the meal in front of you two.
You looked at him once then down at the utensils, hesitantly reaching for a spoon. Jungwon picked up on this and grabbed your hand, flipping it over while grabbing the spoon that laid on the napkin. He then placed it into the palm of your hand and looked into your eyes.
“Don’t hesitate, it’s fine.” Jungwon said and flashed you a smile, his dimples catching your eyes immediately.
Well, maybe you weren’t hesitating on eating anymore, but you were definitely still hesitant about something…
Confessing your feelings to the boy before you.
Yeah, that could wait.
RANK NINE.
Two days ago, Jungwon had a talk with his two friends. He was reassured about his feelings for you, finalising them to a certain extent.
Today, he claimed he was ready to confess. He wouldn’t back away from doing so, and plus, there ‘wasn’t’ much time until graduation (it was 7 months away).
Of course, it was a lie. He had to make an excuse to be able to push himself to tell you how he really felt.
You, on the other hand, thought the same. But, you weren’t sure how you would approach him in a way where it wouldn’t be as awkward as you imagined.
Still, that would have to wait for the perfect time today. You couldn’t mess this up.
As your teacher spoke, your head became drowsy. Your notes seemed messy due to your eyesight blurring and nothing was comprehendible.
You shook your head, an attempt to regain your composure, but that didn’t work either.
“Okay, everyone. I’ll leave the rest of this period for individual work time.” Your teacher said even if there was only 5 minutes before lunch.
“Soccer today?” Baekseung asked Jungwon who wrote in his notebook.
He nodded at his friend’s request, causing the boy to smile. It had been a while since they went to play soccer and not basketball, so it would be quite fun to reminisce about the past.
The bell went, making 5 minutes feel like 30 seconds. To others it must’ve felt long, but to you, it felt short. You couldn’t focus on anything around you, not even the time. The throbbing headache that made its way into your system, as well as the nauseating feeling was all that occupied your mind.
Nothing else.
Not even the fact Jungwon was standing beside you right now.
“You alright?” He asked. You looked up at him, your head spinning at the movement. It was quiet in the classroom, hinting at the fact there was practically nobody left aside from the two of you.
“Yeah, I’m fine.” Lies. You were far from feeling ‘fine’. However, you couldn’t let him worry as much as he did about your eating habits.
You managed to flash him a convincing smile as he did the same. The gentle pat on your head before leaving felt comforting knowing it was from Jungwon and no one else.
“I’ll be back.” He said as he walked out the classroom, leaving you alone in silence.
You weren’t able to tell if the heat that crept up your neck was from his subtle action, or the developing fever that made its way towards you. Honestly, you could care less. It wouldn’t stop you from studying anyway.
And, well, maybe preparing your confession for the said boy.
The mesh of the net ricocheted as the ball glided against the barrier. The goalie was on the floor, the outcome of his failed attempt at blocking the ball.
“It’s okay! That was a good try.” A teammate reassured while helping the male up on his feet.
Once the ball was thrown into play, Baekseung scanned the area, searching for an open target to send the ball to. Teamwork was all that mattered when playing sports, so, why not include everyone even if he could shoot the ball himself?
You looked out the window, noticing the view of the many boys who kicked around a soccer ball. It wasn’t the best view, but you were still able to see a few faces—Jungwon’s especially.
Most of you wanted to get a closer look. It would be nice to take a short break from studying, right? It couldn’t hurt your academics that much…
You rose from your seat, head spinning once again. It was unbearable, but you’ve experienced worse.
See, you’ve definitely experienced worse. So, why were you on the verge of passing out, once again?
You stood in front of the window sill Jungwon’s friend, Baekseung, would always sit on. Your grip tightened the ledge, losing balance in your legs. Your vision became even blurry than before as your mind became foggy.
Yeah, you were definitely about to knock out cold. There was no way you would manage to stay conscious.
A moment after coming to terms with the fact you were about to faint, your body hit the floor, leaving the space between two desks occupied.
Your eyes were slowly closing as the warmth of a hand was placed on your face. Ears ringing, making anything that person said incoherent.
It was a terrible feeling. Maybe you should’ve gone to the nurse’s office at the beginning of your fever.
Yeah… Maybe.
“It’s 11:30, I have to go.” Jungwon said after checking the time on his watch. He waved goodbye to those he played with on the field, then looked at the classroom window, a smile making its way to his face.
Now it was time for 30 minutes with you.
But where were you? He scanned the empty classroom, yet you were nowhere to be found. Your stuff wasn't there either.
You weren’t there.
He was confused. You never left your seat, no matter the reason. So, where could you have gone?
Jungwon had no clue where he was going, letting his feet take him wherever. Suddenly, he was in front of the nurse’s office. Not even he knew why he was here.
Without hesitation, he slid open the door, a wave of nostalgia hitting him. Except, you weren’t in his arms like before.
“Oh, Jungwon. What brings you here?” Mrs. Oh greets almost immediately. That was a great question.
What brought him here?
“I’m not sure.” Jungwon said, not knowing what else to say. It wasn’t his fault he didn’t know.
“What do you mean?” She questioned, confused. That was the first time she received an answer like his.
The boy stared at the nurse in silence. It was awkward for her, but not for him.
Seriously, why was he brought here?
“Is… Is (Name) here?” He asked. Part of him regretted letting his so-called question slip out while the other part hoped you were here.
Other than that, he wouldn’t have any other ideas about where you could possibly be right now.
“Oh, yes, she is. Were you looking for her?” Mrs. Oh questioned, a slight smile plastered on her face.
Jungwon nodded, not wanting to say anything else. He already embarrassed himself enough.
He followed the direction the nurse pointed in, heading to where you were supposedly lying down.
“Apparently, she fainted in class again. One of your classmates brought her over… Turns out she had a raging fever.”
So, he wasn’t hallucinating the pained expression you gave him at the start of lunch.
At the sounds of his footsteps, you turned around fast, pretending to be asleep.
“I saw you.” Jungwon said, pulling your curtains aside.
“Nice try.” He took a seat beside you as you bit your bottom lip, eyes squinting in defeat.
“Are you feeling better?”
You turned around at his words to face him. The damped cloth that rested on your forehead slowly slipped off, causing him to catch it.
“A little bit.” You said as he adjusted the cloth.
You weren’t lying about it being a little bit. At least you were now able to move.
“Did you take medication?”
You nodded, noticing the fact he was only going to continue asking questions about your wellbeing.
“I heard you fainted… Are you sure you’re okay?” He asked, the worry finally sinking in.
“Yeah, I’m fine. I got up to look out the window, but I guess I overestimated my ability.” You said with a light laugh.
“Why would you get up to look out the window if you were already feeling unwell?” He asked with furrowed brows.
It was only common sense, you should’ve made your way to the nurse's office. Not somewhere to admire scenery.
“Are you lecturing me, again?” You asked, referring to the conversation in the classroom from a while ago.
“Yes. You need to take care of yourself more.”
“But if I said I was trying to watch you play soccer, then what?”
Jungwon felt his heart skip a beat.
Okay. Maybe you got him there.
“T-That doesn’t matter. Your health comes first.” He mentally cursed at himself for stuttering. Your words must’ve taken a toll on him.
“You’re boring.” You said before looking away from the boy.
To be honest, this would be the best time to confess, right?
Mrs. Oh had left the office a while ago, meaning it was just the two of you left alone.
When would Jungwon ever get another opportunity like this one?
“Listen,” he started, gaining your attention all over again. You look over at him, waiting for him to continue his sentence.
“I know grades are important, but your health is too. Please prioritise your health as well, okay?” Jungwon paused, hesitating with his next words.
It was now or never.
“I don't want to fall in love with a corpse. It’ll be better if it were just you.”
You stared at the boy, stunned. You couldn’t tell if your temperature was rising or you were flustered by his sudden confession.
An awkward silence followed through, as he felt his heart sink.
Did he just mess everything up?
“Anyways… have you drank anything yet?” Jungwon asked, switching the topic really fast.
“No…” You whispered.
He nodded his head, pursing his lips and patted his thighs.
“Okay. I’ll go get you something.” He said before rising up from his seat and leaving quite fast.
You felt bad. If it were a confession, you just left him hanging.
Jungwon pushed the buttons on the vending machine with pressure. He was embarrassed.
Very embarrassed.
He didn’t want to show himself in that room ever again. The atmosphere was definitely still the same as before—awkward and unbearable.
Maybe he shouldn’t have taken his friend's advice. He could’ve saved himself from experiencing this sort of regret.
The sound of the juice boxes falling from their designated spots caught Jungwon’s attention. He whined at the sound, not wanting to go back at all.
Still, he couldn’t keep you waiting.
His plan of pretending nothing happened was now set in motion. It wouldn’t be that hard to forget the previous interaction, right?
“I hope you like orange juice—”
“Was that a confession earlier or was I going crazy?”
So much for pretending nothing happened.
He stumbled in his tracks, he was nowhere near your bed yet.
“Was it?” You asked, quite literally pestering a response from him.
Jungwon mumbled something to himself. Something along the lines of hoping he doesn’t mess things up further.
“Yes, it was.” He said, a heavy sigh following through.
Although his sigh sounded stressed, yours sounded relieved.
“Oh, that’s good. I thought I was the only one.” You said, causing Jungwon to make his way to your bed even faster.
“What do you mean?” He asked, his hands carrying the juice boxes and a confused expression on his face.
“Is it not obvious?” You asked, but he remained still.
Clearly, it wasn’t.
You sighed, disappointed that he couldn’t read between the lines with that brain of his.
“I like you too, Jungwon.”
RANK TEN.
“It really happened?!” Baekseung exclaimed, shocked. Jungwon covered his mouth with a hand, not wanting the whole world to hear about yesterday’s interaction.
“Then what?” Minji asked.
“It’s a secret.” Jungwon said with a teasing smile. Minji rolled her eyes at his response. It definitely wasn’t what she wanted to hear.
The classroom door slid open, gaining his attention quickly. You walked into the classroom, holding your books to your chest.
A smile of adoration made its way to Jungwon’s face as you looked over at him, smiling.
Minji observed the interaction with curious eyes.
“What the hell? Never do that again, please.” Baekseung said, removing Jungwon’s hand from his mouth.
“Wait so… Are you guys, well, dating now?” Minji asked.
“Woah, no.” He said, raising his hands up in defence.
“So, you guys just confessed to each other and that was all?” She asked in a more hushed tone since you arrived.
Jungwon nodded.
Minji was about to say something else, but the bell rang, cutting her off before she could even start. The teacher walked in, addressing everyone to return to their seats.
You smiled to yourself and pulled out your phone to send the boy a text.
“Nice one.” It read with a smiley emoji.
Jungwon’s phone dinged, causing him to look at it. A smile made its way to his face as he read the message.
He was lying to his friends the whole time. Yes, that was bad to do, but it was the best way of keeping your official relationship with each other a secret.
They could know you two confessed to each other, but not that you were dating.
To be honest, Jungwon never saw this coming. He always thought you would be someone he hated because he never knew it was possible to meet somebody who was at his level.
He truly thought he was dreaming when he first saw you and learned about that information.
But right now, he was thankful he wasn’t and was thankful that you were someone who he fell in love with.

The Triple Header - Austin
Between the distraction of Lando and Charles arriving together, and Daniel making his grand return for Alpha Tauri, you were able to sneak into the paddock through the secondary staff entrance. You were sweating beneath the hoodie that swamped you but as soon as you were in the McLaren garage you took it off.
“This feels weird,” you murmured as you watched Lando get into his racing gear.
“It will probably take a while to get used to,” he said, kissing you as he reached for his balaclava. “But you heard what the doctors said, it’s a miracle we didn’t lose her with what happened. You know how hard the races are on our bodies.”
“I understand that, but it still feels weird. I don’t like missing out on things.” You sighed and opened the door for Jon who was waiting for Lando to start his warm up. “I’m going to check in on Charles. I love you.”
“Love you too.”
Though you could hide in Charles’ garage for the race there was nowhere to hide when Lando pulled into the third place parking spot. There was nothing that was going to stop you from waiting with the rest of his team and between your mother and his father, they kept you safe from the jostling engineers eager to clap their driver on the back.
Everything seemed to be going great and you had avoided all the media crews wanting to get a statement. You had to admit it was satisfying to watch Aston Martin struggle to pull 9th place for Lance and a DNF for Fernando so it was a good thing a microphone didn’t come close to you.
Everything was going great as you and Charles watched Lando take the podium before they both went to shower and change. Unfortunately word came that there had been two disqualifications. Charles seemed to have a sixth sense when bad news was coming and his smile dimmed before his engineer even relayed the information. Charles and Lewis were both disqualified.
Sinking into the couch in Lando’s room, he hung his head in his hands and sighed. The sound made your heart ache and you could feel all the pressure he was under in that heavy exhale. He was already concerned about how his points compared to his teammates but this would make the gap even closer and add to that worry.
“I’m sorry, babe,” you said as you sat beside him, lacing your fingers with his while Lando took his other hand.
“This sucks,” he groaned before looking at Lando. “At least you’re second place now.”
“Suppose,” he murmured. “Doesn’t feel like I earned it though.”
“You don’t know how much Lewis’ car could have been affected by the worn plank, it might have been a matter of tenths off the second without the proper weight,” you reminded him before biting your lip and looking at Charles. “No offence. It wasn’t your fault anyway, you’re the driver, it’s your mechanics who should be checking that the car meets the regs.”
“I know,” he murmured as rose to his feet. “I’m going to the pit then I’ll head back to the hotel.”
Lando had more media duties expected of him and he nodded his head towards Charles’s back. “Go with him, love, I’ll catch up after.”
You hung back in the shadows while Charles gave a statement in the media pit. You could feel the disappointment in his words but he tried to be positive for his fans and you knew he was a better person than you, because there was no way you could have praised your team in that moment like he did.
Thinking about your team, you looked over to Fernando who was able to smile despite his DNF. He was just happy to be back in a race car after finding his brief retirement too boring for his liking. Unfortunately the two disqualifications had bumped Lance up higher in the points and he spotted you watching their interview, sending you a cocky smile that had your fist closing.
“Ready to go?” Charles asked as he was finally free of his duty.
You tore your eyes away from the green uniform across the pit and nodded, grateful for the distraction. “Yeah, glad to go.”
Charles sighed and kissed your forehead as he draped an arm over your shoulder and led the way to the exit. “Me too, mon amour.”

The Triple Header - Mexico
“You look like you could do with a drink,” Lewis said as he joined you on the balcony above the pitland and offered a glass of amber liquid. “Don’t worry, it’s non-alcoholic tequila. It’s the first batch, reserved for special occasions only.”
You took the glass with a small smile. “Thanks, Lewis.”
“Congrats, by the way,” he whispered.
Your eyes widened in surprise and you almost choked on the smooth drink you had sipped. “For what?” you tried to play off the shock with coyness.
Lewis shrugged and looked down at Charles pacing in the pit lane. The two drivers had bonded over their DQ and it was Lewis who had been able to talk Charles into going out to celebrate Lando’s second place in Austin last week.
“They aren’t exactly the best at keeping secrets,” he chuckled, turning around to rest his elbows against the rail. “Especially once they’ve had a few drinks.”
“Trust me, I know. It’s only a matter of time until everyone else does too.” You swirled the liquid around the glass, amazed at how much it tasted and looked like the real thing. “I just want to enjoy the little bit of privacy we get for as long as possible.” Lewis coughed a laugh and you rolled your eyes. “I know it’s impossible, but I’m still going to try. ”
“I wish you all the luck in the world, honestly,” he said with a sincere smile. “And if you want any more ‘tequila’ to keep up the ruse, let me know.”
“Thanks.” You smiled at the offer as he pushed off from the rail and made his way down to Mercedes for the race. You felt the cameras on you and couldn’t help raising the glass to them before swallowing the last mouthful. Rumours had been swirling around social media since Fernando replaced you, but that photograph should at least put the brakes on the pregnancy rumours - even if they were true.
“Aren’t you meant to be keeping a low profile?” Lando asked when you stepped into the garage. He nodded his head to the footage of the pit lane on F1 TV and cocked a brow at the shot you took.
“Relax, it’s Lewis’ Agave. It’s really nice too,” you said as you velcroed his collar into place. “It was a gift, along with his congratulations.”
Lando took your hands and held them against his chest. “I’m sorry, it just slipped out.”
“Mhmm, I’ve heard that a few times now,” you chuckled. “I’ll see you after the race, be safe.”
“Always,” he promised, letting you go so you could speak to Charles before he disappeared into the grid.
Your throat was hoarse by the time the race finished and you hardly looked ladylike like the other WAGs when you celebrated Charles’ third place on the podium. It felt like it had been too long since he last stood up there with Max and you were ecstatic for him after the fight he put up.
“I’m so proud of you,” you gushed as you sat on Charles’ lap in the bar. The atmosphere was charged with excitement and you could see Lando and Max were well on their way to being drunk but Charles was happier to take it slow with a few beers. “You do realise you have a permanent sober driver for the next six months, you can drink, babe.”
“I know,” Charles chuckled as he watched Lando dance wildly. “But I am happy like this, seeing you and Lando happy.”
“Of course I am happy, I have you and him, and little bean, and Fernando DNF’d…”
You both watched Lando for a few minutes before Max clamped a hand over his mouth and started to drag him towards the booth you had taken. “Shhh, stop telling people. Ow, did you just bite me?” Max stared at his palm and saw the teeth marks in his skin.
“Mon cher, ça va?”
“I’m fine,” Lando grinned as he unbuttoned one of the few remaining ones on his shirt, baring even more skin that was flushed with colour. “I’m fucking amazing.”
“He was about to tell the whole club about your little surprise,” Max explained as he shook his sore hand out.
“I hate keeping secrets,” he whined as he shuffled across the booth and under Charles’ arm. You combed your fingers through his damp hair and he pulled your legs over his lap as he snuggled closer. “I just want to scream it to the world.”
“I know you do, mon cher, but not yet. Just a few more weeks and the season is over,” Charles reassured him. “It’s safer this way, you know how crazy it can get with fans.”
He sighed and dropped his head into nook between your neck and Charles, mumbling his agreement but that it still sucked. His racing heart slowed with the hand running calmingly up and down his spine and he eventually looked up with sleepy eyes. “Can we go? My tummy hurts.”
Charles smiled softly and nodded. “I think your head is going to hurt more in the morning.”

The Triple Header - Brazil
One week's good luck was all Charles was given. It was almost as if he was too happy and the universe needed to balance that happiness out. Starting from pole should have given him the best possible chance of holding the lead but then he disappeared from your view on the formation lap. One moment he was in the camera’s view as it panned around the corner and then he was gone, even the cameraman looked confused as he searched for the bright red Ferrari.
“Why the fuck am I so unlucky?!”
The voice in your headset was absolutely broken and the cameraman finally found Charles crashed out - yellow flags flying before the race even began. You only listened long enough to hear that Charles was uninjured before you left the Ferrari garage that you had been watching from.
The back paths were empty with the race gearing up to start without Charles so it was easy to break into a jog. You met him halfway around the track, his helmet still adorning his head that was bent down. He didn’t notice you at first, walking straight past you as he continued his walk of shame back to the pit lane. When you fell into step beside him he almost growled thinking you were a marshal trying to kick up a conversation to get an autograph.
He stumbled to a stop when he saw your face in the narrow slit of his visor. “Amour, what are you doing here?”
You reached for the buckle under the helmet and pulled it over his head, tucking it under your arm while he tugged the balaclava off his face. “I thought you might want some company.”
The whine of the engines spurring their cars off the starting line had Charles flinching and you cradled his face in your palms. “I’m sorry, baby.”
“Not your fault the car is a piece of shit,” he murmured as he closed his eyes and rested his forehead against yours until the cars had passed. “We should get back, the team will be wanting a debrief.”
“No, fuck the team. What do you want to do?”
“I don’t know, find a priest?”
You chuckled at the seriousness in his tone and shook your head. “I don’t think god has that power. He might have turned water into wine but turning your tractor into a race car might be beyond his capabilities.”
Charles snorted a laugh, taking his helmet back with one hand and holding your hand in the other. “Fine, let’s hope our man has better luck then.”
It was easier to dodge the few fans around the obscure ends of the track but Charles still chose to traipse through the trees instead of the footpath. He wasn’t in the mood to talk to anyone and you respected that as you walked quietly beside him, catching glimpses of the red flags through the mesh fence until you got back to the garages and saw the carnage that had opened the race.
“Where did you want to watch from?”
He looked down the pit lane where Redbull separated McLaren and Ferrari. He was torn between loyalties and your heart ached for him before you made the choice that would hurt least.
“Come on, there’s spare clothes in Lando’s room.”
He kept his head down as you led him into the back of the McLaren motorhome, waving off anyone who attempted to approach him. “It will take a while for them to clean up the mess on the track. Why don’t you shower and change before we go back?”
Charles nodded sullenly while you locked the door to Lando’s driver room but he made no attempt to undress as he stood looking lost and broken. He barely breathed as you dragged the zip down his body, pushing the suit over his shoulders before pulling his fireproof shirt off.
“I wish I knew the magic words to make you feel better,” you murmured as you kissed his collarbone. He hadn’t even started the race but the suits were so hot that his skin tasted salty on your lips. “But, I do know one way to distract you…”
His chest finally moved as your hands dragged the rest of his suit down his muscular legs and you dropped to your knees in front of him. Green eyes darkened as he watched you lick your palm before wrapping your fingers around his cock and stroking him to life. His lips parted when you moistened yours and sealing them around his tip and a soft moan filled the room.
The sounds slowly grew louder as you took him deeper in your mouth and you revelled in the sweet praise he gave. His large hand gripped the back of your head as he surrendered himself to the escape from reality that you offered and you moaned when his cock pulsed with his release. The taste of his come coated your tongue and you swallowed it down before licking your lips clean of the saliva that had run down them.
“Shit,” Charles groaned as the door handle rattled, but it was Lando’s voice on the other side and he relaxed at the sound.
Charles reluctantly stepped into the shower cubicle as you opened the door and Lando stole a kiss as a greeting when he entered. He hadn’t seen Charles but his eyes darted around the room as he tasted the lingering musky residue on your lips, pouting at missing out. “You started without me.”
“You still have a race,” Charles pointed out as he turned on the shower.
Lando’s lips turned down and he took a seat on the couch, pulling you onto his lap so you could both watch Charles shower through the glass window.
“He was rather miserable,” you whispered. “He can’t wait for the season to end.”
Lando could understand why. It was an odd position he found himself in because the more points he scored then the more stress was placed on Charles’ shoulders. It was a double edged sword that he hadn’t quite thought about when he envisioned dating a driver.
“I can’t blame him,” Lando muttered. “Just two more races. Hopefully his team manages to fix the car for them. It sucked seeing him spin off like that. I knew he was fine, but it still freaked me out.”
You saw his worry in the form of a frown and forgot that he had been behind the crash. “We have been lucky there hasn’t been any serious crashes this season,” you mused as you rubbed his frown away. “It was bad enough before, but now…” You placed a hand on your stomach and shook your head. “I never want to know that kind of worry.”
There weren’t any words of solace he could find without lying so instead he distracted you from the thoughts with a searing kiss. Soon Charles stepped out of the shower with a towel slung low on his hips and Lando debated staying longer, but he reluctantly shifted you to his side so he could stand.
“You can watch from upstairs if you want,” Lando offered Charles as he watched the water droplets run down his chest. “Or hide in here.”
Charles chuckled knowing ‘hide’ was absolutely a euphemism for what you would actually do. “We will watch you, mon cher,” he assured him with a kiss. “Go and fight Max for first.”
Lando grinned at the thought, loving the challenge that was unlikely but still something to aim for. “Will do, but it should have been you, love.”
Charles shrugged, feeling a little lighter after blowing off some steam and the shower. “It is what it is.”
You heard the announcement over the PA system and checked your watch to see how long there was until the restart time. “Go, your team will be waiting. I’ll take care of Charles.”
“Again?” Lando laughed as he stepped back to the door. “Give the man time to rejuice, baby.”
“Focus on the race,” you reminded him as you opened the door. “I’ll still be here when you finish and then you can think about my mouth all you want.”
You enjoyed the soft groan that clawed up his throat at the thought but you closed the door with a laugh before he could step back in. “Go. We love you!”
“Love you too,” he replied before testing the door handle one last time and finding it locked. “Fine, I’m going.”

Adore ( 10th/14th Doctor x fem! Reader)
Summary: Sometimes old wounds can bleed again Warning: It's the Doctor who doesn't love him? light angst, slap, not a spoiler from The Star Beast special, heart breaking, broken, fluff, old face, forgiveness and horny cat. As usual, I'm sorry if there are any wrong sentences or typos or grammatical mistakes, please forgive me and again English is not my first language, so I try to improve my language and writing in this way.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───
A few years ago. ⏤͟͟͞͞☆
You have traveled with the Doctor since his 9th regeneration. You already know Rose, Jackie, Mickey and Jack. It can be said that you have made many friends plus enemies while traveling with the Doctor.
Although most of his travel can be dangerous but that is not an obstacle for you to continue traveling with him.
You have met Donna Noble. The kind and spitfire lady. Sometimes she can be a protective partner and sometimes she and her sarcasm can be quite dangerous for a certain period of time. But overall, you and Donna are best friends forever and always tease the Doctor with some kind of flirting and name calling such as Skinny Man or pretty boy, making him blush or whine with embarrassment. Sometimes he just brushed it off.
But then, Davros and the Daleks happen. And there goes Meta Crisis Doctor created by Donna accidentally and Rose coming back from the alternative universe. Everything seems to be planned for this thing to happen. Donna suddenly gets knowledge from the Time Lord causing her brain to burn if she 'uses' too much energy and she will die if it continues so the Doctor decides to wiped all the adventures she, you and the Doctor have been through.
Meanwhile you only looked at what the Doctor did to Donna from the Tardis door with eyes glossy with tears. You can't do anything, but you can only see the knotted situation in front of you. You're speechless and just accept fate with open arms.
Once the Doctor sent the unconscious Donna back to her house, the Doctor just kept quiet and didn't say anything. His shirt was soaked with rainwater, his face was broken and sad while his hands were fiddling with the Tardis control.
You don't know how to approach a situation like this so you just move closer to the Doctor and stand next to him and look at the control with a blank face.
A few seconds later you heard the Doctor sniffling trying to hold back his tears and you could feel the Doctor was about to say something.
"I will take you back home. So better prepared with whatever items you have here" Doctor said in his hoarse voice.
You looked at the Doctor skeptically. "what?"
"I'll take you home.. I can't let you travel with me anymore. It's gone too far and I can't let you in danger anymore" The Doctor exclaimed then pulled and pressed some controls there.
The sounds of wheezing and groaning are heard inside the Tardis indicating that the Tardis has started to move. You looked at the Doctor in disbelief.
"no.. Is this because of what happened earlier? hmm? Now you just want to say that it has crossed the line. But tell me, what we went through before didn't it cross the line too? Then why now do you want to take me back?" you argued
"I never asked for this to happen. Please just.. just don't fight and let me take you home. At least you will be safe" Doctor pleaded.
"But I'm already safe here! With you. Please don't take me back, Doctor..please" you begged with glassy eyes.
The doctor didn't say anything and just controlled the control. He didn't directly look at your broken face because he was afraid he would regret the choice he made. At least what he thought was the right choice. You will be safe. No more threats of aliens or disasters.
You scoffed bitterly. "You can't suddenly take me home, Doctor. I know you."
"actually I can. At least you don't have to go through all this if I'm not there" Doctor replied blankly while looking at you.
The Tardis stopped wheezing and groaned indicating that the destination had been reached. You looked at the Doctor with a betrayed face.
You let out a small whimper trying to hold back the tears. "Why are you doing this? We've been through a lot. Why now?"
"because I can't let the people I adore in danger anymore. All this happened because of me. I'm not a hero you can admire and flatter. I failed to protect the people I adore and now see what happens. I can't let the same thing happened to you too. I-" Doctor paused. "- you should go.."
You are stunned. Tears started to fall and fell down your cheeks, wetting your smooth cheeks. You sighed heavily and looked at the Doctor with betrayed eyes.
"if that's what you think is a good thing, Doctor.. Then once my feet step out of this Tardis that means I've lost faith in you, Doctor." you said with a sad tone of voice.
The Doctor just kept silent and turned his gaze to the control without glazing over you for the last time. You were dumbfounded and just nodded in resignation. Without words, you started walking out to the Tardis door with a sad expression on your face. "I just leave my stuffs here then..I don't need it anymore.."
And there you lost faith with the Doctor. You never see Doctor for several years until now.

Present day ⏤͟͟͞͞☆
"no, no! Pablo. You can't mess with the cat next door! I don't want grandchildren yet" you scolded your cat.
Pablo only meowed and he lazily walked under the table and landed there. You sighed. It's been 4 times Pablo tried to 'flirt' with the cat next to your house sneakily and fortunately your neighbor Dhani brought Pablo back to your house and stated.
"Pablo has started to mate with Munchkin this time. Fortunately, I was able to stop him from making me and you unpaid adoptive grandmothers" Dhani said blankly while handing Pablo into your hand.
You scoffed at Pablo and sat down on your sofa and started reading your book. It's been a long time since you stepped out of the Tardis and since then you haven't heard from the Doctor and you haven't talked about it anymore. You have moved on. You have the job you want, a sex-crazed cat and a new lifestyle that you feel quite comfortable with it.
But there are times when you might shed tears silently remembering the adventures you and the Doctor went through together. You feel a little regret but when you remember the thing that made you step out of the Tardis you immediately forget it.
' Forget about it, he might be happy traveling alone. He doesn't want you anymore' whispered the devil in your ear. You just shook your head and focused on reading again.
But your composure to read doesn't last long when you hear a familiar sound like wheezing and groaning in the back yard of your house. You were transfixed and the book in your hand fell onto your lap. Pablo suddenly woke up and hissed towards the door as if angry with the sound.
You then get up from the couch and go to the window facing the backyard. The curtains are pulled aside and there it stands majestically in the middle of your backyard. Blue Box that is bigger on the inside. Tardis. You exhaled heavily and closed your curtains again then walked towards your couch.
You are pensive. Why? why did he reappear today? why now? To apologize? To make up for all the wrongs he did to you? After all this time why did he suddenly appear in your backyard?
You bite your lip anxiously. This cannot be. What else does he want from you?
Not long after, a knock on the door began to be heard at your back door. You are silent. Breath caught in your mouth and your hands started to sweat. It's him.. That's really him. Why does he want to come back to you after he kicked you out of the Tardis years ago? You looked at Pablo who was still glaring at the back door.
You got up and slowly walked towards the back door. When you got there, your sweaty hands slowly reached for the doorknob. Anxiety and nervousness started to exist in your body while your mind screamed not to open the door and face him. But you don't know if he has regenerated or not. You worry about what you expect is him but it's not the same face. Can he be she? you don't know.
The sound of knocking is heard again this time accompanied by the hoarse voice of the same man who kicked you out a few years ago.
"Y/n, are you there?"
You turned the doorknob and faced his face with a nervous face. There he stood with his thin and tall body still the same as a few years ago only his attire was different and not his usual dark brown trench coat and striped suits in it. The shoes are still the same. Right now he has a dark blue trench coat, a white collar shirt along with a striped blazer matching his pants and complete with a gray tie. But what catches your attention is his slightly older face. His hair is still brown and spiky while his gorgeous brown eyes hold emotions that you can't identify whether it's sad or happy.
"Y/n" he whispered your name slowly as if an old memory struck his mind.
You just looked at his face and moved closer to him. Look upon his dark brown eyes with your uncontrollable emotions, you slap his face with all your heart. Angry tears running down your cheeks. He was stunned.
"What are you doing here, Doctor?" you hissed bitterly.
The Doctor was stunned and his face was upset. His cheeks were red with the imprint of your slap on his cheeks.
"I- I came to apologize" Doctor said slowly.
"why now? after you kicked me out of the Tardis.. why now?" you questioned with an angry tone.
"I think you deserve an apology from me after what I did to you.. I'm very, very sorry after breaking your heart and kicking you out of the Tardis a years ago.. I shouldn't have done that to you.. you deserve better than me" Doctor explained with a sad tone of voice.
"oh, you shouldn't have done that to me, Doctor. If you love your friends, you shouldn't do that suddenly and kick them out of the Tardis without any reasonable reason. Sure, you don't want the same thing happened to me. But don't you think that before this I have been through many dangerous things while traveling with you but you never stopped me from traveling with you. Why? why after Davros and the Daleks invasion, you suddenly change your mind and decide to kick me out? Not to mention what you did to Donna?" you exclaimed in your raspy voice. Your eyes were red with tears while your cheeks were wet with tear streaks.
The doctor was silent.
"i just want you to be safe" Doctor whispered but that was enough for you to hear.
"oh, sod off with me being safe, Doctor. I'm tired with your same excuse. I'm tired with this guilty feeling that I always have and think about what I did wrong to you until you kick me out of the Tardis ." you replied
"I don't want you to go through the same thing as our other friends... I-" Doctor paused and stared at your face with a pleading face.
"What is it, Doctor? After all this time without hearing from you and now you suddenly appear behind my house, why now? I'm already happy and moved on with all that then why did you decide to appear and disturb my peace? " tears fell down your cheeks again.
" because I care about you! i can't lose you. I adore you since the moment we traveled with Rose. I don't have enough courage to say this to you because I'm afraid I'll lose the person I love. Because i know.. I know that I will lose the people I love if I keep doing good things. That is my curse to be a Time Lord. I don't want you to go through the same thing as them so what I decided is the most sensible thing for me to keep you safe " Doctor looked at your face pleadingly.
You are speechless. The Doctor loves you. Now you understand. It's the feeling that you don't want to go through losing someone so dear to you so you push them away in the hope that they will be safe from you. In the hope that they can find a better love than you.
"you.. adore me?" you stammered. while holding out your hand towards the Doctor in disbelief.
"i adore you so much. No matter what my face looks like, I will always adore you and I will do anything to protect you. Half of my hearts is with you. I don't care if you lose faith in me but you still need to know that I really adore you" Doctor held your hand and stroked it gently.
You sighed heavily and brought your right hand to the Doctor's cheek and gently stroked his cheek with your finger. Doctor leaning against your palm while closing his eyes trying to feel the texture of your soft skin. It's been a while since he couldn't have physical contact with you and he doesn't know how much he misses the feeling of your skins.
"how many faces have you been through?" you questioned him with a softened voice.
"I've become an obsessed man with a bowtie and fez, I've become a Scottish man and I've become a woman. But then I got this face again out of nowhere. I don't know why" Doctor explained and placed his forehead on yours.
"why? to apologize?" you replied with a hushed.
"probably to admit my love for you" Doctor chuckled lightly.
You chuckled lightly for a moment then closed your eyes and parted away with him slightly. You stare at his face, his eyes and his lips. The Doctor did the same thing to you. And without wind or storm, you both lean and kiss each other's lips passionately and gently.
The doctor put his right hand on the back of your head and his left hand on your neck while you put both your hands on his chest. Both of your eyes are closed tightly to feel each other's presence. And after that, you both part away and stare at each other's eyes with love and fondness in both of your eyes.
"I adore you too, Doctor"

"No! Stay with me! Just stay with me Y/N!"
You could hear the terrified voice of your wife. You desperately tried to reach out to her, to tell her everything would be okay. You wanted to comfort her in her moment of need, yet you couldn't do that and it was killing you.
Once again, you tried to reach for her. She was running alongside you in the stretcher, ignoring the doctors orders for her to leave.
The fear in her eyes was breaking you. If only you could hold her until she was alright, and kiss her until she smiled.
Once you went through a door leading to a long, dark hallway, your view of her got smaller and smaller just as her cries began to drown out. You wanted to keep looking at her, to do anything possible to make her feel better.
But there was nothing you could do when you felt a sharp prick and your vision faded to an endless white empty space.
-
"Miss L/N? Your letter is ready."
You looked down at your long dress, going just past your ankles; if it weren't for your heels, it would've dragged on the floor. You felt your hair pulled back in a tight bun, almost pulling the skin on your face. You wore glasses that sat on the tip of your nose, clearly doing nothing for your vision.
You looked around, scanning the room. Everyone else was dressed the same.
You walked forward toward the voice calling you, then locked eyes with the man carrying an envelope. He handed it to you with an expressionless face. So, you took the letter and walked out of the mailroom.
You didn't open the letter yet, though. That was for later.
So now, you were in the crowded streets of the city. You held the letter close to your chest, walking through the crowd.
Your gaze strayed toward the sky, and the tall buildings in the distance. Soon, you would be home to open your letter-
"Hey!"
You stumbled back, realizing you had bumped into the woman now glaring at you.
"I am sorry," you told her. "I wasn't looking in front of me, when I should have."
"Yes," she agreed. "You should have."
You stared at her for a few moments. Her red hair stood out against her dark gray dress, and her green eyes shone in the light.
After a minute or so, the beautiful woman's gaze softened.
"What do you have there?" She asked.
You smiled, then decided to open it right then in front of the beautiful woman.
July 9th, 1944
Y/N L/N,
We are pleased to inform you that your application to the United States Army has been accepted. In The Great War, we need soldiers of all kind. Even women, if that is what it takes for the Allied Powers to take victory. You shall arrive at training base at the end of the month, on July 31st.
See you soon, soldier.
United States Army
"I'm going to war," you told the beautiful woman, holding the letter up for her to see.
Her face dropped. "You told me you have a death sentence, and yet I don't even know your name."
"Y/N," you said. "Y/N L/N. And you, Miss?"
"Natasha Romanoff," she replied. "And don't call me Miss."
"Well then, I hope to see you around, Natasha."
"Indeed, Y/N."
-
Three days had passed since you found out you were going to war. You hadn't told a soul, other than the beautiful woman Natasha.
So now, you decided to get yourself a cup of coffee. You certainly wouldn't be getting any while at war, so you might as well make the most of your time here.
The bell rang as you swung the door open, alerting everyone inside the shop of your presence. The first thing you noticed, was the familiar red hair from three days earlier.
She sat up straighter, looked you in the eye, then looked at the seat across from her at the table. She didn't say anything, though.
Once she broke eye contact, you made your way to the counter to order your coffee. Once you handed the barista the cash, you walked back to Natasha's table and sat down.
"Nice surprise seeing you here," she said, smiling ever so slightly.
"Well, I suppose I deserve a few coffees before I fight in the war."
Her face dropped and she looked down at the table. "Yes... I suppose you do."
"Aw, lighten up, Natasha! I want to do my part in the fight! Besides, I believe I can survive!"
"How can you be so sure?"
You were quiet for a moment, then held your arm up. Flexing your muscles, you scooted closer to her.
"I have the body of a fighter, you see!" You even motioned your arm closer to her face, prompting her to reach out and feel your upper-arm.
"You have the body of a woman..."
"That I do. Both things can be true, Natasha!"
She laughed, harder than she expected. In fact, she laughed so hard that she choked on her coffee. Her laughs soon turned into coughing as your smug look turned into a look of concern.
Once she confirmed she was alright, you heard your name and coffee order at the counter. So, you stood up, grabbed your drink, and walked back to her table.
"I'm thinking of taking my coffee home..." you said, thinking out loud.
Natasha frowned. "I've been enjoying our conversations though."
"You would take yours too! And we shall both go to my apartment and continue our conversations there!"
She smiled, then nodded after a minute. "I would like that."
"Wonderful."
The two of you stood up at the same time, walked out the door together, and began walking through the crowded streets.
"Where do you live?" She asked.
"Not far," you replied. "Just the second building on the left!"
Soon enough, you reached the wooden doors across the Cornelia Street sign. You unlocked your door, then motioned for Natasha to enter your home.
"Wow..." she said. "You live here? By yourself?"
"Yes," you said. "I do live alone."
You led her to the living room, then put your coffee on the table in front of the couch before sitting down.
"Based on your words, I'm assuming you don't live alone?" You said, once she sat down next to you.
"I do not," she replied. "But I don't live with a man; I live with my sister, Yelena."
"That sounds lovely."
"It is... we have each other. My sister is far more reliable than any man could be, and we'll always have each other."
"Do you ever wish to marry?"
"No... I was set to marry a man when I was 18, but I refused. I didn't want anyone else to have control over me. My parents disowned me shortly after, so I took Yelena with me and ran away."
You noticed tears building up in her eyes as she told her story. You set your coffee down, then reached to her and ran your thumb across her cheek to wipe the tear.
"So tell me your story, Y/N," she said with a soft laugh. "Why do you live alone?"
"My parents died when I was young, and I never found myself to be one who falls for men or wants a husband..."
"Oh."
"I'm not unhappy, though."
"Are you sure? You're a woman and you're enlisting to fight in the war..."
"Well, I'm happy right now with you, am I not?"
A moment of silence passed. Both you and Natasha took several sips of your coffee before locking eyes again.
"I'm glad I met you, Y/N."
"Me too, Natasha."
"I'll miss you when you leave for war."
"I still have some time... you know where I live now. You're welcome at any time."
She grinned. "Good to know."
-
Natasha had visited your home on Cornelia Street twice since you first brought her there. And now, she was on her way again. She held two coffees in her hand as she knocked on the wooden door.
You opened the door with a smile, wasting no time in letting her in.
"I've had quite a bit of coffee with you lately, Natasha." You said, laughing.
"Didn't you say you wanted to drink more coffee before you went to war?"
"I did, yes..."
She handed you the cup, then made her way toward your living room where you sat on the couch together.
You had a radio on the table, broadcasting a baseball game. She leaned closer to you, resting her head on your shoulder as you sat and listened to the end of the game.
Neither of you made any noise apart from the occasional sips of coffee. Instead, you found comfort in the silence and listened to the game. She kept her head on your shoulder though, which you enjoyed.
You even leaned your head against the top of hers after you set your coffee down. Your chest was warm, and it felt as if it spread throughout your body. This was what it meant to be warm on the inside, and you felt it with Natasha.
When the game was over, you stood up to turn the radio off and then sat down by Natasha again.
"I've had a thought," you told her.
"Tell me."
"There are times where I wish I could've been born a man..."
"Why is that?"
"Well, I'm a woman who lives alone and doesn't wish to fall for a man. But if I were a man, I would be allowed the privilege to fall in love with a beautiful woman like you."
She paused, smiling widely.
"Who says you have to be a man for that?"
"What do you mean?"
"Well, you're a woman fighting in the war. Who says you can't be a woman who falls for other women?"
Now, the warmth in your body turned to heat as blood rushed to your cheeks. You felt your heart pounding against your chest, almost causing your hands to shake.
"In that case, I believe I have found myself falling for you, Natasha."
She smiled, wider than ever before. She leaned closer to you, wrapping her arms around your neck.
"We're the same." She told you. "I'm a woman who falls for other women... and I'm falling for you, Y/N."
The heat in your body was increasing, and now your hands began actually shaking. Natasha noticed your nerves, and gave a reassuring smile in response. Seconds felt like hours as you stared into one another's eyes.
You felt yourself inching closer bit by bit, and yet you were still too far away from her. You brought your hands up to cup her face, prompting her to lean even closer to you.
Now, your foreheads were touching. You never imagined it was possible to fall for another woman, but there was something about Natasha from the moment you met her in the crowded streets of 1944.
Finally, your lips met. You weren't sure who closed the gap, but your lips were on hers and you were kissing. For a second, you stayed still and took in the moment that you had kissed the woman you were falling for.
Another second passed, and you began to move your lips against hers. She did the same, keeping her arms around your neck.
Eventually, you felt her tongue swipe over your lips. So you opened your mouth ever so slightly, and she began to explore your mouth with her own. You kept your hands on her face this entire time, even when your body felt like it might explode.
You lost all perception of time in the kiss, so you weren't sure how long your lips were on hers when she finally pulled back.
"Thank you..." she said softly.
"Thank you?"
"For not paying attention to your surroundings that day, and bumping into me that day..."
You leaned in and kissed her again, only this time it was fairly quick.
"Stay with me." You told her. "Stay with me here until I leave."
She looked at you, clearly weighing her options as she thought about everything. After what felt like an eternity of silence, she replied.
"Okay..." she said. "But I must talk to Yelena first. She also wishes to never marry a man, but she's not completely like us, either."
"I understand," you replied. "So long as I get to spend my remaining time here with you."
"And you shall."
-
After spending the last week and a half with Natasha, the day of your departure was finally here. She held you close in your bed, kissing all over your neck and shoulders.
"Don't go," she said between kisses.
"I must go, darling."
"Stay here with me. We can stay together with each other knowing we will never marry men. They will never know about us and our true feelings."
You sighed, then smiled. "If I had the choice, I would stay with you. But now that I've been enlisted, I have no choice."
"Then run," she said. "Run away with me. They won't prioritize looking for you in the middle of the war, they'll find other soldiers!"
"I can't take that risk... you could get in trouble too if they knew you were hiding me, and I can't let that happen."
"I accept that risk though!"
"Well... I don't."
You leaned in and kissed her. "I'm sorry, Natasha. But if I could go back and do it all over, I would've done the same thing; then I would've gone to the post office to get my letter and bumped into you on the street. These last few weeks have been the greatest of my life, and I wouldn't trade them for the world."
By now, she had tears streaming down her face. So you kissed her forehead and wiped them with your thumbs.
"I'll come back to you, Natasha."
"Promise?"
"I promise. I have you to fight for, to live for. In the meantime, you may stay here whenever you'd like."
"Then I must say goodbye here..." she said quietly. "I can't say goodbye in public and act like I haven't fallen in love with you in just this short time..."
"I understand," you replied, feeling your own tears bubbling up.
So you both stood up, and she immediately leaned in to kiss you. Only she was kissing you like never before, making sure every cell in your body knew how she felt about you.
"I'm going to write letters every day," she said.
"And I'll read them every night."
You kissed again.
"My love for you is timeless, Natasha," you said. "Timeless."
-
A few hours later, you entered the training facility with other recruits. Obviously you were the only woman, but you weren't scared. You would prove yourself and get through this and fight. And then you would get back to Natasha.
To your surprise, a voice you only heard on the radio was now speaking in front of you.
"Welcome, L/N." Captain America said. "Congratulations on being our first woman recruit."
"Thank you," you replied.
"Nervous?" He asked.
"A little." You admitted. "I just have someone I need to come home to alive..."
"I understand that," he said, motioning you to walk with him. "Fight for that someone. When you're on the battlefield wounded and bleeding out, let them be the one to get you through it. Let them be timeless."
"Yeah," you agreed. "Timeless."
-
Your eyes popped open as you jolted awake. You were in what seemed like an endless white room.
"Natasha!" You called. "Natasha! I'm here for you!"
Despite your continuous calls, there was no reply. But soon enough, the endless white hallway turned into something else.
You were walking through an old street, yet it was completely empty. The first thing to catch your eyes was an antique shop, so you opened the door and walked in
To your surprise, the shop was empty too. But you didn't leave.
You looked to the counter, noticing a cardboard box. It read: Photos: 25 cents each
You picked up the model picture, looking closely; the black and white photo showed Natasha in a wedding dress being held by another woman: you.
You smiled, then set the picture down. You walked out of the shop, and back into the endless white room.
Once again, your surroundings changed.
Now, it appeared you were standing outside near a high school. Two teenagers stepped out of the car, standing in front of the the entrance. Two girls, one with bright red hair and another with Y/H/C.
The banned flashed the year '1958' with bright colors. The teenagers held hands, smiling for the pictures.
You continued walking forward, until the endless white room brought you to yet another old empty shop.
The first thing you saw was an old book covered in cobwebs. The cover was solid red with pictures of castles in the background.
You flipped to the first page and red the opening sentence: This is a love story between Princess Natasha and Lady Y/N.
You put the book down and exited the shop. Now, you were standing in front of an old mansion. Horse carriages surrounded the building, but you noticed the light from the upstairs room and the beautiful woman looking out the window.
You entered the house, as if invisible to everyone standing guard. You made your way up the stairs, letting your instinct take over.
When you opened the right door, the same woman ran to you and threw her arms around you.
"Y/N, you're here!"
"Natasha..."
When she pulled back, you could see that she had been crying.
"What is it?" You asked.
"Father says I am to be married before 1522... that gives us two years left before we can't sneak to be together anymore."
You took both her hands in yours, then leaned in for a soft kiss. "Even if you're forced to marry someone else, you'll always be mine, Natasha. We're timeless, remember?"
That seemed to make her feel a bit better. She leaned in to kiss you again.
"Timeless," she agreed.
Just then, everything around you turned back into the endless white room.
"Natasha!" You called out. "Natasha!"
Suddenly, all the memories of your accident came flooding back to you: You were an Avenger. You married Natasha three years ago and you worked side-by-side with the team.
You were on a mission together, and there was an ambush. As soon as you heard the sound of a gun cocking you put your arm in front of your wife and stepped in front of her.
You remembered the burning feeling as the bullet ripped through your stomach. But what haunted you even more was the sound of Natasha's screams as you fell against her and she saw the blood.
You had to get back to her. You couldn't leave her. Even if it wasn't the same life, you promised Natasha in 1944 that you would come back to her. There's no way in hell you would break that promise in any lifetime.
"Y/N!" You heard the familiar voice, but it sounded distorted.
"Natasha!" You called back.
"Y/N!" It was a bit clearer this time.
"Natasha! I'm coming back to you!"
"Y/N..." you could hear her... you were with her.
-
When you opened your eyes, your wife wasted no time in throwing herself into the hospital bed to hug you. It hurt your bullet wound, but you didn't care.
She immediately started crying, and hugged you tighter.
"I thought I lost you," she said through tears. "You can't leave me, Y/N."
"I'm sorry I scared you," you told her. "But I'm never going to leave you. Not now, and not in any lifetime."
She tilted her head to the side in confusion.
"We're timeless, Natasha." You said. "I'll love you when we have gray hair, and you'll say we were timeless. Hell, you still would've been mine if we met on a crowded street in 1944. We're timeless, Nat."
"Okay," she said, still crying. "Timeless, then."
"'Cause I believe that we were supposed to find this. So even in a different life, you still would've been mine."
"Timeless," she said, softly smiling.
"I love you, as our love is timeless."
You loved her here, you loved her from meeting her in a crowded street in 1944, you loved her in 1958 when you went to a high school dance together, you loved her in the 1500's in a foreign land when she was to be forced to marry someone else. You and Natasha truly were timeless.

Il Dottore & Scaramouche
Waking up, you felt familiar warmth pressed against both sides and rubbing your eyes groggily; you're met with the kind faces of Pantalone and Childe, who nuzzle you affectionately, "Good morning Princess~!" Childe muses, kissing your cheek. And blushing, you adjust, turning to the two men, but not without sudden discomfort.
"Ouch!" you cry out, making a pained face, suddenly remembering what had transpired the night before, "Dadddyyyy, Master…my body hurts," you whine to the two concerned young men.
"Oh goodness me. Were we too rough with you yesterday? Perhaps we should take you to Zandik," Pantalone says with a frown on his face, pulling you close to him and kissing the top of your forehead.
Flinching at the thought of going to see Dottore, you shiver. Dottore was not a kind man by any means, and he always wanted to inspect you further, much to your dismay. Yet, deep down, he always made you feel good. He was always wanting more while you were begging for more. Shaking off the thought, you gulp, "Do I have to?" you ask innocently, batting your lovely lashes at the two who were now tugging you to and from each other, showering you with kisses.
"You must," Pantalone says, stroking the top of your head lovingly.
"For once, I agree with you, 9th," Childe chimes in, his fingers trailing at the hem of your night dress.
Feeling discouraged, you sigh, "Okay…I suppose it wouldn't hurt. I am quite pained, especially after," you trail off, casting your gaze downwards shyly, "N-nevermind that!" you say quickly, waving your hands in front of your face, your face turning a rosy hue.
"Never mind, what, Princess~?" Childe tests, kissing your fingertips playfully.
Feeling your face growing warmer, you cover your cheeks up, hiding your embarrassed expression, "Please don't tease me~," you plead playfully, looking at Pantalone for help, but he merely chuckles.
"Now, now, you two," Pantalone starts, "We need to help Princess get ready," he explains, pulling the two of you apart, and giving Childe a harsh glare.
Helping you out of bed gently, the two of them help guide you to the wardrobe, sitting you down. While Childe brushes through your delicate hair, Pantalone goes through the closet, pondering what to dress you in. Taking a moment, he pulls out a modest light blue dress with cream-colored lace accents, "This shall do. It's easy to move in, and the fabric is lightweight, perfect for recovery, isn't that right, Princess~?"  Pantalone teases.
Blushing furiously, you shoot a cute glare his way, "Daddy!" you pout, and you hear a chuckle behind you, "Not you too, Master! Hmph," you huff, folding your arms across your chest.
And finally, after a short while, you're dressed, your hair adorned with two cute braids, and admiring yourself in the mirror, you hug the both of them, "Thank you, Daddy, Master~! I feel pretty as always," you giggle happily, clasping your hands together.
"As you always should, Princess," they both chime in, kissing the top of your head affectionately, "Now shall we be off?" Pantalone asks, and you nod.
—-----------
The walk to Dottore's office is long and arduous, so Childe and Pantalone take turns carrying you; after much bickering back and forth, you finally stop them, deciding to walk the rest of the way hand in hand so they'd stop fighting over you and finally, you arrive.
The doors leading into Dottore's office were daunting. Swallowing hard, you turn your heels towards an expecting Pantalone and Childe, giving them a quick kiss on their cheeks, "Will you come and get me later?" you ask, batting your pretty lashes.
"Anything for you, Princess~," they both coo, hugging you before waving you off.
Opening the large doors, you step into the office, eyeing your surroundings. Papers and books are strewn about. Random glowing vials which you assumed were potions of sorts, lined the walls giving the room a gentle blue hue. Taking a seat on the lone chair by his desk, you wait patiently until you hear a clatter and shouting in the adjacent room. Getting up from the comfort of your chair, you head toward the muffled sounds, pressing your ear up against the door.
"Scaramouche. The electro energy in your system is becoming entirely too concentrated. It would be best if you found a way to release this energy before it becomes uncontrollable," a muffled Dottore says with concern.
"Enough! I was created of electro energy itself. I can control myself," Scaramouche's voice boomed as he shoved a tray of medical supplies to the floor with another loud clatter, "I'm done here," he scoffs, making his way toward the door, opening it only for you to fall into him.
"I—," you start, pushing your hands away from Scaramouche's chest, but he's quick to grab you by the waist, preventing you from falling, "P-Prince, m-my deepest apologies. I couldn't help but overhear—"
"So noisy," Scaramouche says gruffly, shoving you to the side and placing his hands in his pocket, preparing to walk out the door when Dottore chimes up.
"Ah, hello, Princess~ Is there something I can do for you? I do apologize for Scaramouche. You know he tends to get even more foul-tempered whenever you're around. Perhaps it's something I should study more of…." Dottore jests playfully.
Stopping in his tracks, Scaramouche is about to say something when you interject, "Greetings to you, Doctor. Daddy and Master said it's time for my check-up," you say politely, curtsying toward him.
"Well, don't just stand there; come on in, Princess~, and Scaramouche? I implore you to stay. Let me show you how to channel your excess energy," Dottore says, a mischievous glint in his crimson eyes, gesturing for the two of you to come closer.
"Come here, Princess~ Let me get a good look at you," he says as you step up onto the examination table and sit down. Dottore, reaching over, gently strokes your cheek causing you to shiver, "My, my... they really did quite the number on you, darling. Tsk tsk, it seems I may have to lecture your caretakers about how to take care of my little test subject properly," he coos, pushing you down onto the table, hoisting up your dress, "Let's start the examination, shall we~?"
Scaramouche scoffs, "Must I really be here for this?" Resting his body up against the doorframe with his arms across his chest as he eyes the two of you intently.
"This is a perfect opportunity for you, Scaramouche. Show us how well you can control yourself," Dottore says, slapping on a pair of medical gloves before he spreads your legs further apart, exposing your raw cunt, and you flinch, expecting his cold and methodical touch.
Feeling all eyes on you, you hide your face from embarrassment, and finally, you feel Dottore's gentle fingertips trail up your thigh, giving your thigh a tight squeeze, "D-Doctor…it hurts a little, p-please, I'm sensitive today," you whine, hoping maybe today he would show mercy.
"I can't watch this," Scaramouche starts, but Dottore's voice stops him.
"Can't? Or won't~?" Dottore asks, continuing to squeeze your thighs before giving them a rough slap, causing you to cry out, "Surely you must feel something for the Princess," he presses playfully, "Look, you're even lingering when you could have left already~," Dottore chuckles, preparing two of his fingers, "Now come here, and let me show you how it's done," he says, voice dangerously low as he shoves his fingers abruptly up your cunt, immediately finding your sweet spot, causing you to let out a squeal.
"Enough of this!" Scaramouche shouts, striding over to the two of you, grabbing hold of Dottore's wrist, "I—," and noticing your flushed facial expression, his mouth begins salivating and swallowing, "I don't care about this... foolish desire of yours," he continues, feeling his gut twist and wrench over your vulnerable state as his manhood presses eagerly against his pants.
"Could have fooled me, Mouchie~," Dottore starts, looking Scaramouche up and down, his crimson gaze lingering on the outline of Scaramouche's dick, "You say that but your body is betraying you," he says, removing Scaramouche's grasp as he thrusts his fingers in your wet cunt once more.
"Don't call me that, Doctor," Scaramouche says in disgust, swiping his hand away.
"A-ah—!" you moan softly; the discomfort of his thrusts cause your eyes to water as you glance up toward Scaramouche pathetically, "My P-Prince…please, Doctor is being much too rough," you plead with him, searching his disgusted lavender gaze, but they soften for a brief moment.
Reaching over, Scaramouche brushes a strand of your hair away from your face, "You're being much too noisy, my little Sakura," he murmurs just loud enough for you to hear, "Fine, Doctor. I'll prove to you how well I can control myself. Hold down her wrists," he commands, and you gasp, trembling.
"Excellent!" Dottore says, letting out an ominous chuckle and removing his fingers; your slick juices stick to his gloves, "Now, Princess, Darling. You best behave for us~," Dottore coos, taking off his gloves and leaning over to boop your nose affectionately before pinning your wrists above your head, leaving you completely vulnerable, "Why don't you start, slow, Mouchie~? This is your first time, after all, isn't it? Eat her out," Dottore says nonchalantly.
Plopping himself on the chair between your legs, Scaramouche licks his lips, taking a good look at your tantalizing womanhood. Feeling a crackle of electricity course through his veins in anticipation, he props your legs up over his shoulders, scooting you closer to his mouth and feeling his breath hitch; you hold your own, "L-like this?" he asks nervously, giving your slit a gentle lick and you shudder.
"P-Prince…," you mutter, as Dottore smiles wickedly above you, "Just like that…" you say breathlessly.
Appreciating your taste, his tongue ventures deeper, grazing over your clit and getting hooked on your flavor; Scaramouche lets out a pleasurable groan, his tongue continuously flicking at your clit before he gently bites at it, causing you to whimper. He can't help himself any longer. A small jolt of electro energy shocks you, causing you to tip over the edge, cumming lustrously in his mouth as he eagerly laps it all up, like a rabid dog, pulling you closer to him, now addicted as his cock aches for more.
"I must say, I'm impressed, Scaramouche. I didn't think you had it in you~!" Dottore muses, noticing how you tremble from pleasure as he grins down at you, his own cock longing for more, "Now, let me show you how it's done," he says, releasing your wrists, making his way toward Scaramouche and pulling him away from your messy cunt.
You cry out as Scaramouche releases his mouth from your clit as it begs for more, "No—p-please don't stop," you beg pitifully, your dainty fingers sliding down towards your slit as you start making circles around your clit, your soft, pathetic moans ringing out.
Smirking, Scaramouche wipes his mouth on his sleeve, "So needy, aren't you? Maybe we can put your mouth to good use…" he says, looking up toward Dottore, who nods at him. Getting up, Scaramouche circles around you, "Be good for me. Get on your hands and knees, now," Scaramouche commands, reaching to remove his throbbing dick from his pants.
Dottore being beside himself with glee, helps you turn around, "Be a good little patient and do as he says, my little test subject~," Dottore coos, spreading your asscheeks apart, admiring the way you're dripping with lust. Positioning himself, his long cock springs out of his pants as he releases his button, "Is my test subject ready?" Dottore asks lovingly, giving your ass a hard smack.
"J-just give it to me already," you beg, wiggling your ass upward, and Dottore groans at your show, "I…I want to feel both your big cocks in me~," you babble, forgetting about your previous pain.
"Well, you heard her, Mouchie~! Let's give her what she wants, hmm?" Dottore says gleefully, aligning himself with your cunt as he thrusts his cock into you with a glorious groan, your walls squeezing around him.
"I told you not to call me that, Doctor!" Scaramouche seethes as you let out a small squeak, driving Scaramouche to kiss you roughly, his tongue finding your parted lips as you accept him fully and pulling away, "You best stay quiet, little Sakura…otherwise, I may not be able to control myself," he says quietly, positioning his dick towards your mouth as you eagerly grasp it.
"A-ah—," you moan as Dottore continues his thrusts.
You start licking around the tip of Scaramouche's dick, lapping up his precum, and he leans his head back in pleasure, hitching in a breath. Entangling his fingers in your hair, he pulls on it, causing you to groan, but he's quick to thrust his dick deep in your mouth, shutting you up, "I said—be. Quiet," Scaramouche growls as he continues his intense thrusts into your mouth.
Feeling your eyes rolling to the back of your head, your cries are muffled. Dottore is slow with his thrusts, taking in your tight cunt with multiple groans of exhilaration, "You're so tight, Princess~!" he says delightfully as you arch your back, taking him entirely.
Using your tongue, you eagerly lick across Scaramouche's girth as he continues his rhythmic jabs, and you feel his cock twitch in your mouth, "F-fuck—," Scaramouche groans as you start moving your hips along with Dottore's thrusts.
Dottore, grinning wildly, grasps your hips, digging his nails into your bare flesh, and slams you onto his lengthy cock, causing you to gag on Scaramouche's dick. Throwing his head back, Dottore starts laughing as he slams you repeatedly onto his cock, "What a brilliant test subject you are, Princess. You're taking us so well~!" he muses, raising his hand to slap your ass once more, leaving behind a bright red handprint.
Your muffled cries grow louder with each thrust as tears start streaming down your face, unable to keep up with the brutality they show. Scaramouche, taking notice of this, grins wickedly, "Now that's the face I want to see!" he coos, wiping your stream of tears away, "Doing so good for us, our little slut."
Starting to feel bored, Dottore slows his thrusts and spreads your asscheeks apart, "Your other hole is looking so lonely, Princess," he says with a frown, putting a single finger to his lips as he spits on it, "Actually, I have a better idea!" he chuckles, wiping his wet finger on his shirt as he removes his cock from your slick cunt, much to your dismay, "Scaramouche, let's change things up, shall we~?"
"At your command, Doctor," Scaramouche says with a grunt as he also removes his dick from your mouth.
Finally being able to breathe correctly, you catch your breath, wondering what else they have in store for you, "H-how do you want me~?" you eagerly ask, wanting nothing more than to feel their cocks inside you once more.
Dottore sits on the chair behind you, his cock still twitching, "I want you, Princess, to sit in my lap. Now be a good test subject for me and take my cock in your ass, hmm~?" he asks as he strokes his cock for you and you nod.
Sliding off the table, you take off your dress, leaving yourself utterly bare for them and positioning yourself; you spread your cheeks for him and ease yourself on Dottore's cock with a pained squeal, "I-it hurts~!" you manage to say, gritting your teeth.
While your ass adjusts to the length of Dottore's cock, you spread your legs wide to allow room for Scaramouche, who is now looming over you, aligning his cock with your cunt, "Oh sweet Sakura…," Scaramouche murmurs, kissing you on the top of your head as he slowly pushes in his dick. Feeling Dottore's small thrusts within, Scaramouche groans as his cock hits the back of your walls. Ultimately leaning down, his lips find yours once more in a fiery display of passion, tongues intertwining as you eagerly accept him with small moans into his mouth.
Dottore snakes his hands around your chest and finds your erect nipples with ease; he pulls and twists them teasingly. You can't hold back anymore, "What a promising test subject you are! Taking us both at the same time~" he murmurs in your ear as his thrusts into your ass becomes more ruthless.
Scaramouche once again silences your cries of pleasure, his tongue swirling around your mouth as his fingers make quick work of your clit. Feeling your toes start to curl, your walls start clenching around their dicks, and they both moan simultaneously. Pulling away from the kiss, you cry out, "I'M C-CUMMING~!" you scream, clutching onto Scaramouche's shirt as your cunt sprays all over his dick.
"Oh, f-fuck!" Scaramouche groans, thrusting into you harder to keep up with Dottore, and you squeal louder, "I-I can't hold back anymore, little Sakura," he says breathlessly, and with a final thrust, his hot seed explodes into your messy cunt.
Dottore grins wide, slamming your hips down, forcing you to take the entire length of his cock, "Take it, my little test subject... Take us," he whispers against your ear as you continue to let out loud moans, "Well done!" Dottore happily says with a groan, your ass tightening around his cock as he struggles to keep up any longer. With a few more thrusts, his dick starts dripping with precum and pulling out; he paints your ass with his cum, "Goodness me~! What a mess." Dottore confesses, eyeing your trembling body, "Tsk tsk, a shame you came first, darling!"
Pulling out his dick, Scaramouche seals his lips with yours once more before pulling away, admiring the way his cum drips out of your cunt as you collapse onto his chest, "Little Sakura is so needy. Doctor, check her out for real this time. I'm sure she's in pain after that," Scaramouche gently says, pushing a strand of your hair behind your ear, and all you can muster is a whimper in response, your body still shaking.
Nodding in response, Dottore scoops you up carefully, placing you back on the table gently, "How are you feeling, Princess?" he asks inquisitively, pressing his lips to your forehead lovingly.
Not being able to hold back your tears, they bubble over, "I'm so sore, D-Doctor!" you whine, shifting yourself to find a comfortable position, "Can you help me? I promise I'll be good... It hurts!" you plead pitifully.
"Tsk, tsk, Princess. You've forgotten; you've already been so good!" Dottore praises, and Scaramouche nods in response, agreeing with him, "Here, little one, take this, and you should be good as new~," he explains, taking out a vial of glowing blue liquid and handing it to you.
Taking it in your hand, you uncork the vial, and with a quick swig, you down it, and your whole body starts to tingle. After a few moments, you feel rejuvenated and reinvigorated, "Wow!" your eyes grow wide as they sparkle happily, "I feel good as new~! Thank you, Doctor~!" you muse cheerfully, giving both Dottore and Scaramouche a kiss on the cheek.
"Now, you should be getting dressed, little Sakura. Pantalone and Childe will be coming shortly, and I'm sure you don't want to anger them, now, do you?" Scaramouche instructs, handing you your dress.
Quickly getting dressed, you twirl around for them adorably, feeling much better, and with a teasing glance, you say, "I could almost go for a round two~!"

Part 9
😔🖤
Eddie left work in such a rush that he nearly crashed four times. He was so out of it he had to pull over for a minute to calm down.
This morning he felt like he should stay home. The way you were walking had him nervous. But you were smiling and so happy that he shook off the dread he felt.
He was working on welding a part for a machine when he was called to human resources. When he got there he just knew. He didn't even let Linda the HR manager finish her sentence. All he heard was the word hospital and he was booking it to his van.
He was shaking his head and cursing at himself. He should have stayed home. He should have gone with you to visit Bastian.
He didn't know what was going on until he ran into the hospital. He saw Rosie first. A little bit of relief washed over him when he saw that she was okay and with his uncle.
But he stopped in his tracks and saw the other guy. He knew who that was. He went to school with him too. He didn't know why Thomas was here. But he hated that fucking guy.
The very moment Wayne saw Eddie's worried look turn to anger he quickly got up and went to him.
"Son-"
" What the hell man?! What-"
" Stop! Listen to me!" Wayne used his dad voice. " He found y/n and Rosie in the cemetery. He's the one who got her here as fast as he could....son if he hadn't found her. We don't know what could have happened."
Eddie swallowed his anger and was now just worried about you.
" Where is she? What's going on? She can't have the baby yet. It's too soon!"
" Yes son, it's early. Y/n's in surgery right now. It's been about an hour since she got here."
" Surgery?" Eddie whimpered.
" Yeah. But it's gonna be okay....okay."
Eddie nodded.
"Let's go sit down son."
Eddie nodded once more before following his uncle. He no longer cared that Thomas was there. All he cared about was you and his baby.
After a little while Wayne took Thomas back to his car. That's when Eddie's friends started to come. He originally called Erika and asked for her to watch Rosie while he waited to hear about you. But now Dustin, Mike, Erika, and Gareth were there.
Wayne finally came back and sat with Eddie. He tried to comfort him but Eddie was gone. The surgery was taking too long. Something was wrong. Eddie could feel it.
It was about 3 hours after you got there when the doctor finally came out.
" Mr Munson?"
Wayne and Eddie said yeah at the same time.
" I'm sorry. Edward Munson?"
" Th-that's me." Eddie said standing up.
Eddie gave Rosie to Erika and he and Wayne went to the doctor.
" Hello. I'm Dr. Martin. Your wife's surgeon. Let's have a seat."
The doctor led them to a few empty chairs.
"How's my girls doc?"
" Well let's start off with your baby girl. She came a bit early. So we have her in the NICU. She's just a little underdeveloped. But she is a fighter. We need to keep her here for a while and get her weight up. But as soon as she gets stronger you can take her home. I will write out a list of regiments for her in order to make sure she continues to get all the necessary nutrition she will need."
Eddie looked at his uncle.
" Does she have pulmonary hypertension?" Wayne asked.
" No. Other than her coming early, she is very healthy."
Eddie felt a little better. But he still was worried about you.
" So Mrs Munson came in with vaginal hemorrhage and going into early labor. With tests and closer inspection I found that she had a complete placenta previa. That's when the placenta covers her cervix not allowing your baby to be delivered normally. So we had to do a C-section."
"How did that happen?" Wayne asked.
" Well sometimes it can occur when a previous C-section was done or when a uterine fibroid was removed. Which Mrs Munson has had both. So it's very likely that was the cause."
Wayne nodded. " So is she okay now?"
Eddie thanked God for his uncle. He wouldn't know what to do without him right now. Eddie was at a loss for words. He needed to hear if you were okay.
" She lost a lot of blood not only before she arrived but during the surgery."
Eddie's heart sunk.
" We had to give her a blood transfusion in order to replace what she had lost. But the sudden amount of blood loss has caused her to slip into a coma. However..."
As the doctor trailed on Eddie officially stopped listening. The last thing he said to you this morning was if you want spaghetti for dinner. He should have said he loved you. He should have been with you.
...
Eddie refused to see the baby. He sat with you every day holding your hand. Begging you to wake up. Days went by with no change.
Wayne came and tried to comfort him and get him to see the baby but it was no use. You needed to wake up. He needed you to wake up. Rosie and the baby needed you. He needed you.
It was two weeks later when the nurse brought in the baby. She was still tiny but she was getting bigger. When he held her he cried. He felt awful for not seeing her. She was so beautiful. She looked just like you. But she did have his hair. He looked at her then looked at you.
Why was this happening? Haven't you two been through enough?
Another week went by and he was changing the baby. Rosie was sitting on the hospital floor coloring you a picture when he heard her talking.
" Mommy. When are you coming home?"
Eddie's heart broke. Rosie missed you. She's been asking for weeks when you would come home.
" Mommy. Daddy cries a lot...He says please wake up."
Eddie felt his tears again. He really has been crying a lot. He missed you so much.
" Mommy?"
Eddie was wrapping the baby in a blanket when Rosie tugged at his jeans.
" What is it princess? Did you finish coloring for mommy?"
"uh-huh. Daddy?"
Eddie picked the baby and held her close to his chest, looking down at Rosie.
" What is it princess?"
" Can mommy come home now?"
Eddie frowned. " I'm sorry princess-"
"Look. Mommy's up."
Eddie's head shot toward you. Rosie was right. You were up. He saw you trying to sit up. He quickly put the baby down and went to you.
" Baby!" He cried out.
He helped you sit up and waited for you to get your bearings.
"Ed-eddie?" Your voice was soft and low.
" Sweetheart."
" Where...where is she?"
" She's right here." He said grabbing the bassinet and pulling the baby closer.
" Rosie?"
" She's here too... princess come here."
Eddie put a pillow behind your back to get you more comfortable.
He lifted up Rosie and sat her at the foot of the bed.
" Hey sweet girl. Are you okay?"
Rosie nodded. " Mommy. Sissy's here." She pointed at her
Eddie started to cry. He rubbed his eyes on his sleeve. Finally you were awake.
" Eddie can I hold her?"
" y-yeah."
He picked up the baby and carefully handed her to you.
" She's so small." You whimpered.
Eddie put his arm around your shoulders while sitting on the very edge of the bed.
He sniffled " Yeah but she's strong...just like her mom."
You finally looked at him with tears streaming down your face.
" I'm so sorry Eddie. It's all my fault."
" No baby. No...it wasn't. She just wanted out."
He gave you a loose hug. He wanted to hug you tighter but he didn't want to hurt you. He wiped your tears away along with his after.
After a little while Eddie could tell you were tired. He tried to grab the baby but you didn't want to let her go.
" Sweetheart. You need rest. I promise she isn't going anywhere."
You nodded and let him take her.
He helped you lay back down but moved the head of the bed up a little. He put Rosie down for a nap and moved her to the cot he had been sleeping on for the past three weeks.
You scooted over and motioned for him to lay with you. He did wrapping you in his arms.
"I missed you so much sweetheart...please don't leave us again."
"I won't. I promise."
After a few minutes of crying he kissed you.
" Honey?" You said after.
" Yeah baby."
" What's her name?"
He sighed. " She doesn't have one yet."
" No?"
" I-I didn't want to name her without you."
Your little laugh made him want to cry again.
" How about Lilly?"
Eddie smiled. " Lilly Munson...hmm I like it."
" Yeah?"
" Yeah." He said kissing your forehead.
" Rosie and Lilly Munson."
Eddie repeated his daughter's names. They were perfect. And now that you were finally able to come back everything was how it should be.
He had his beautiful daughters and the most amazing wife. And he swore to never let you or them down.
...
A few days later you guys finally went home. There was a conversation that needed to happen. Not with just you and Eddie. But with you and Thomas.
Eddie was so grateful for what Thomas did. There were no amounts of thank yous he could say for saving both of you. However, he was worried that Thomas came back for you.
Deep down he knew you would never leave him. You and Rosie and his uncle have been the only constant in his life. And just like you fought for him and Rosie. He would fight just as hard to keep you.
One night you were feeding Lilly in the rocking chair. While Rosie was playing with her dolls and Eddie was fixing his van.
" Mommy?"
" Yeah sweet girl?"
"Can you sing to me?"
" Of course princess. What do you want me to sing?"
She didn't know the name of it but she started to hum it.
You smiled. "Okay sweet girl. How about I sing it for you and your sister?"
" Okay "
🎵
Moon river, wider than a mile. I'm crossing you in style some day Oh, dream maker, you heart breaker Wherever you're goin', I'm goin' your way. Two drifters, off to see the world. There's such a lot of world to see. We're after the same rainbow's end Waitin' 'round the bend. My huckleberry friend. Moon river and me.
🎵
While you sang you heard Eddie singing too. When you looked at him you smiled.
" Daddy. That's mommy's song."
" Oh I'm sorry princess." Eddie said sitting with Rosie. " I'll let mommy sing it."
He softly smiled at you while you sang again.
This was how it should be. Eddie's life with you and your daughters. How it should have always been. The love you gave him and Rosie was what he always wanted.
While you sang there was a little bit of sadness in your voice. It has been there since you and Lilly got home. You barely talked now and you stopped sleeping in the room. Eddie would constantly wake up to find your side empty. When he would look for you, he found you asleep in Rosie's room with the rocking chair pulled up between Lilly and Rosie.
Every night he found you, he would grab two blankets and a pillow. He would cover you and lay on the floor next to you.
You would wake him up with a cup of coffee and some breakfast before tending to Lilly and Rosie. You kept looking sadder and sadder every day. Sometimes Eddie would hear you crying. But you wouldn't tell him why.
That was until he came home from work one night. It was a month after the difficult birth when he found you sitting at the dinner table.
" Hey sweetheart."
You looked at him with a small smile. But it was as if you weren't looking at him. More like passed him.
" Hi" your voice was melancholy.
He went to you giving you a hug and a kiss on the forehead.
" How was your day?"
" It was fine. The girls are napping."
He nodded.
" How was work?"
" It was good. Everyone misses you."
You didn't respond to him. You just sat there.
Eddie pulled up a chair next to you and sat down. You looked so tired and just so damn gone. He didn't know what to do.
" Baby? Talk to me... please."
You hung your head and started to cry. " I don't know what's wrong with me."
"What do you mean sweetheart?" He said grabbing your hand.
" I don't...I feel like...I'm failing...I'm trying to be with Lilly all the time. And...I just feel like we're not bonding how we should...I don't feel like she's mine."
Eddie cupped your face making you look at him.
" I don't know what to do Eddie... I'm scared that I don't love her as much as I should."
" No baby. That's not it. I see you with her. You love her. I know you do. She's yours and you love her."
" I'm so sorry Eddie... I know I'm not me. I just-"
You were cut off by a knock on the door. Eddie looked towards it and then back to you.
" Are we expecting someone?"
You shook your head wiping your tears away. He got up and opened the door. He was instantly enraged when he saw Thomas standing there. He was about to tell him that you guys were busy. But then he felt your hand in his. He looked over to you and your eyes told him everything he needed to know.
" Don't be too long sweetheart." Eddie said giving you another kiss on your forehead and went to check on the girls.
...
You stepped outside, closing the door behind you.
"What's the matter bunny?"
You rolled your eyes. You always hated that nickname.
"Nothing Thom-"
" No. I can tell you've been crying. What happened? Did that guy hurt you?"
" Who? Eddie?"
" Yeah. That guy was always a fr-"
" Don't you dare! Eddie is my husband! He's not a freak. He never was."
Thomas sighed. " I...I'm sorry bunny...It's just you know I hate seeing you sad."
You rolled your eyes so hard that you swore you saw the back of your head.
" What do you want?"
"I wanted to see how you were. How's the baby? How's your... daughter... Ruthy was it?"
" Rosie." You corrected him.
" Right. Sorry. Rosie."
" They're both perfect."
" Yeah? That's good. Really good...Had me worried there for a second."
" What were you doing there Thomas? You never visited Bastian before."
" Yes I have. I just don't go on the exact day of him passing."
"Why?"
" Because bunny. I know you wouldn't want to see me there. I...I know I hurt you. And I didn't want to keep on hurting you."
" Yeah sure."
" Stop it! You know I don't lie. Not when it comes to you."
" But you did lie. You said you loved me and you said you would always be here. That was a lie. Or how about you promised to marry me and be a father to Bastian. That was also a lie."
" I know. I never...I'm just really sorry okay...I didn't" he sighed. " Look bunny, I know I could never make it up to you and there's nothing I can do to take that pain I caused you back. I know leaving you like that was the biggest mistake I have ever made...and I can't help but think what would have happened if I would have stayed. Would Sebastian still be alive? Would you still love me like you did? Bunny, I didn't come here to try and win you back. I came here because I wanted you to know that I know I made a stupid decision that day...I want you to know how sorry I am for it...for... everything. It took me a long time to deal with losing Sebastian. I know I wasn't there but I always call my mom to see how you two were... When she told me that he died my heart broke. For losing him, but mostly it broke for you...I wanted to be there. I wanted to be with you. But I just couldn't face the shame I brought on myself to face you."
Your eyes filled with tears. Things were already so hard for you. Now Thomas had to come and say this.
" Thomas-"
" No bunny, please let me finish...I was a coward and I was selfish. You were always the most important person to me. But...I understand if you don't want to forgive me. Just know if I could I would take it all back. I wish I wasn't scared of it all."
Your body shook out of such heartache. Could the universe just give you a god damn break for once?!
" I...I was scared too Thomas. I was so afraid of being a teenage mom and getting married. I was fucking terrified! But...I stayed!" Your voice broke. " I stayed... I was hurt and broken. But I still fucking stayed! And I did my best. I tried so hard to take care of Bastian and love him and keep him safe... but it wasn't enough...and when he died." You started to cry." I NEEDED YOU! I NEEDED YOU AND YOU WEREN'T THERE!"
" I know. I'm sorry-"
"No Thomas. You don't get to be sorry. You don't get to come to my home and tell me this stuff. I don't want to hear it. I'm finally good now. I'm better now."
" Are you sure about that?"
" What the hell is that supposed to mean?!"
" Don't you see what you did? You filled the hole in your heart by attaching yourself to him and his daughter"
" No I didn't! You don't know what the hell you're talking about! I love them!"
" I know you do. But you need to just take a step back and look at the whole picture...you replaced us. You replaced me with him and Sebastian with Ruby."
" HER NAME IS ROSIE!"
Thomas stepped closer but Eddie opened the door.
Eddie had listened to the whole thing. And there were so many times he wanted to beat the shit out of Thomas. But you seemed to be handling it yourself. Then he heard that and he knew it was time to step in.
" You need to leave." Eddie nearly growled the words.
" Look man I-"
Eddie stepped in front of you to face Thomas "RIGHT NOW!"
Thomas took a few steps back. He just looked back and forth between you and Eddie. He tried to catch your eye but you refused to look up.
Thomas took one last look at Eddie and took off.
Eddie was so fucking gone. Out of respect for you he held back. He could have killed him. Maybe he should have. He thought if one of the upsidedown gates was open, it would be a very convenient place to get rid of a body.
When Thomas car was out of sight he turned to find that you were gone.
He found you in the room sitting at the edge of the bed crying. His heart sank. This was the first time he heard you cry like that. It was like how when you find out your whole life is over. Or someone close died. Like everything you knew was a lie. Or when you first get your heart broken.
The crying was a mixture of all types of hurt and he couldn't stand it. It was truly the worst sound he's ever heard.
" Baby?" He squatted in front of you. Trying to catch all your tears. With eyes filling up with their own.
" Is...is that...is that what I did ed-eddie? Did I replace..."
" Do you feel like that's what you did?"
You shook your head slowly. " N-no. I love Rosie. And I love you... Maybe...I- maybe at first I wanted to feel needed like that again. To-to feel like a mother again. But...it didn't stay like that."
Eddie's heart broke for you. He knew you needed him then. Just how he needed you too. But it was real. Everything you guys went through, everything that was said or shared was real. He loved and you loved him.
" I know that there's a lot to unpack here. And I'm so sorry this had to happen right now. I wished I had the answers for you instead of questions. But baby when it comes to where you see yourself in 30 or 40 years down the road. Do you see yourself with us? Or do you see it with him?"
You rested your forehead on his." With you Eddie. Always."
Your answer gave him a wave of relief. For a moment there he was scared.
" Okay sweetheart. But let me ask you this. Do you love me the same way you used to love him?"
You shook your head and said a soft no.
Eddie hung his head.
You cupped his chin pulling it gently so he could look at you. "No honey. No. I love you so much more."
He brought your knuckles to his mouth. Kissing them tenderly. " I love you. God I love you."
He stood up and sat next to you, pulling at your waist to hug you.
There was only one more thing he needed to tell you. And he worried it might not be what you wanted to hear.
" Y/n?...I think I need to take you to see the doctor."
You started crying again. "I...I have postpartum don't I?"
Eddie kissed your forehead. " I think so baby."

Part 14 Part 16
Masterlist
9th September 1985
‘First day of senior year.’ Eddie says throwing his arm around your shoulder as the two of you make your way into the school.
‘For me maybe.’ You poke back at him.
‘Come on, I’ve told you this before, I was just waiting for you to catch up to me. I’m definitely going to graduate this year.’ He laughs kissing the side of your head as you make your way over to your locker.
‘And I’ve told you, if you annoy me in class, then I won’t sleep with you.’
‘Is that really a punishment for me? Or is it more of a punishment for you as you’ll be missing out on all this?’ He says, indicating to his body with the hand that wasn’t over your shoulders. You roll your eyes and wiggle out from underneath him, going to open your locker and pull out your books. Before you can grab your books, Eddie moves behind you and grabs them from your locker, holding them for you.
‘I’ll carry your books you’re still healing.’ He tells you cradling them in one arm.
‘Eddie, I’m fine. Look no cast.’ You say holding up your now cast-free wrist and waving it around.
‘The doctor said it could take up to a year to heal fully.’ He points out and you roll your eyes at him again.
‘He also said that I should continue to do my daily activities in order to help it heal.’ You say crossing your arms.
‘I’m just trying to be a helpful boyfriend, why do you have to be so independent all the time?’ He pouts at you.
‘Fine, I guess you can help me, although I’m pretty sure the only reason is that you don’t actually have the books and you want to use them.’
‘I’m offended that you’d think so lowly of me. Even if it is the truth.’ He says dramatically clutching his chest.
‘Oh, by the way, you’re not working this evening right?’ He asks you. After the mall had ‘burnt down’ you had gotten a new job at the grocery store as a cashier. It was even worse than working in the bookstore but you needed to earn some money, especially as you were graduating the next year.
‘Nope, I’m off work although I am working before your gig on Tuesday so I’ll have to meet you there but I promise I won’t miss it.’ You tell him.
‘You better not. You missed one in January so that’s your limit for this year.’ He joked with you.
‘I had the flu! And you shouldn’t have been playing cause you also had the flu, Gareth told me you nearly passed out on stage.’
‘I didn’t have the flu, Eddie Munson does not get sick.’ He protests.
‘Okay, is that why you spent the next three days in bed?’
‘I didn’t want to leave you alone while you were sick. Anyway, tonight, I think we should go on a proper date, it’s been a while since we’ve been on one.’
‘Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. What’s the plan?’ You ask him.
‘I’ll think one up and tell you in class.’ He leans in and presses a kiss to your lips.
‘You know that’s really gross, right?’ You heard a voice say from next to you. You looked over and saw Robin standing there with her arms crossed.
‘Aw, don’t worry Robin we’ll find you a boyfriend.’ Eddie said and your eyes widened.
‘No, we won’t.’ You elbowed Eddie.
‘Yeah, I really don’t want you to help me.’ Robin said.
‘Alright, I feel like I’m missing something.’ Eddie said looking between the two of you.
‘It’s nothing babe.’ You say, kissing his cheek. Just at that moment, the bell rings, indicating it’s time for the three of your to head to class.
‘Thanks for not telling Eddie about me.’ Robin says as the two of you walk to the cafeteria. Your period before lunch was one of the few you didn’t have with Eddie so you decided to meet him in the cafeteria.
‘It’s alright.’ You shrug. You knew that it wasn’t your place to tell others about Robin’s sexuality, even if you knew Eddie would be okay with it.
‘I’m surprised you didn’t, to be honest.’
‘Yeah well, it’s the only secret I actually feel good about keeping.’ You say looking down at your hands.
‘You still haven’t told him? Y/N, you said you would!’ She exclaims.
‘I did.’ You had said that. At some point, after going to the hospital you had made a decision you were going to tell Eddie the truth about everything. ‘It’s just every time I try, I see those big brown eyes and I feel so guilty about lying that I can’t tell him. Plus if I tell him and then something else happens, he’ll want to be involved and I don’t want that.’
‘So you feel guilty about lying so you keep lying?’ She rolls her eyes at you as the two of you walk into the cafeteria.
‘I know but it doesn’t matter cause I’m not planning on going back to the future anyway.’
‘Y/N, that’s not the point. And- wait why are the kids sat with Eddie?’ You look over at your table and see that Robin is right, Dustin, Mike and Lucas are all sitting there talking to Eddie.
‘Eddie did mention something about wanting new members for Hellfire so maybe that’s why?’ You frown.
‘Hmm, well enjoy. I’ll see you later.’ She waves heading over to sit with the other people in band. You walk over to your own table, taking your seat next to Eddie and pulling out a sandwich from your bag.
‘Hey, babe.’ Eddie smiles at you and before he can ask you pull out another sandwich from your bag and place it in front of him.‘Thanks, babe.’
‘I thought you said you were going to remember lunch this year?’ You ask him, raising an eyebrow.
‘Yeah, but it’s only our first day.’
‘Well, try to remember tomorrow. Why are you guys here?’ You say turning to the kids.
‘Umm, Eddie came over to us and asked if we wanted to join his DnD club. Why are you here?’ Dustin responds.
‘Eddie’s my boyfriend. Also, I’m in Hellfire Club.’ You shrug.
‘Wait, this is Eddie your boyfriend? Steve said your boyfriend is bad news.’
‘Steve doesn’t know what the fuck he’s talking about.’ You shoot back.
‘Umm, do you know these kids?’ Eddie asked clearly confused about this interaction.
‘Yeah, they’re Steve’s kids. I’ve mentioned them to you before.’
‘We’re not Steve’s kids.’ Dustin protested.
‘They’re the children that Steve hangs around with because the only friends he has that are his own age are me and Robin. Is that better?’ You roll your eyes as you speak and Dustin nods in approval.
‘So King Steve hangs around with kids now?’ Eddie laughs, before turning to look at the newspaper in front of him.
‘Why do you have a newspaper? And where did you get it from?’ You frown at Eddie.
‘I stole it from the staff room and I wanted to see what was showing at the theatre tonight for our date. Urgh, The Way We Were is showing at the drive-in, we’re not going to see that.’ Eddie frowns, flicking through the theatre showings.
‘We could do something else?’ You suggest,/ reaching over and grabbing his hand.
‘Like what? Not like there’s much to do in this shithole town.’ Eddie grumbles.
‘I don’t know, we could just go out for dinner if there’s nothing good in the theatres.’ You shrug.
‘You’ll get used to them just having conversations together. We reckon they’ll grow out of this love-sick shit at some point in the next 40 years.’ Jeff says to the three freshmen, earning him a kick under the table from you.
‘It’s not our fault the only date you’ve been on is with the head of the abstinence group.’ You shoot back, earning a laugh from Eddie and Gareth.
‘Maybe you two could use some abstinence. Didn’t you get suspended last year for having sex in the Hellfire room?’ He says earning a disgusted groan from the kids.
‘At least we’ve only been caught once.’ Eddie says with a big grin on his face.
‘Eddie, seriously!’ You shout at him.
‘Seriously you two have issues.’ Jeff rolled his eyes.
‘Yeah, that’s why we’re perfect for each other.’ Eddie leaned over, wrapping his arms around you and pulling you close, kissing you on your forehead.
‘Anyway, Y/N can you give us a ride to the arcade after school?’ Mike asked, looking over at you.
‘Sorry, kid, Eddie gave me a ride today so you’ll have to bike.’
‘The arcade!’ Eddie yelled out and you looked at his confusion. ‘We haven’t been to the arcade together in ages, we should go there for our date tonight.’
‘Yeah but only because I kick your ass every time we go there.’ You smirk at him.
‘You do not.’ He protests and you laugh at him.
‘So this means you’ll give us a ride to the arcade, right?’ Dustin asked.
‘Yeah, I’ll give you kids a ride.’ Eddie turns to them, clearly excited that he finally had a plan for your date.
At the end of the day, you head over to where Eddie’s van is parked. You see the three kids are looking around confused.
‘Van’s over here.’ You nod in the direction of the van walking over, with them trailing closely behind you. Once you reach the van you turn towards them.
‘Look, Eddie doesn’t know about any of the shit that happened so keep your mouths shut. Got it?’ You warn them and they all nod.
‘Why haven’t you told him? I mean I told Max.’ Lucas asked.
‘It’s complicated, okay?’ You sigh and then let out a yelp as you feel a set of arms wrapped around you from behind.
‘What’s complicated, babe?’ Eddie says giving you a kiss on the cheek as you feel his curls tickling your face.
‘Oh you know, life.’ You shrug as you turn your neck to face Eddie, placing a kiss on his lips. ‘Come on, let’s get going.’ Eddie opens up the passenger door for you and you climb in as the kids climb in behind you. Eddie moves over to the driver’s side, climbing in and starting up the car.
‘Now, I’m about to introduce you kids to some real music.’ Eddie says, reaching over and turning on the stereo, Metallica blasting through the speakers as he pulls out of the parking lot.
He drives along, his hand planted firmly on your thigh as he head bangs to the loud music. Eventually, he parks up outside the arcade, turning off the engine and looking at you.
‘Ready to have your ass kicked?’ Eddie smirked, squeezing your thigh.
‘In your dreams, Munson.’ You smirk at him, as the kids climb out of the van, clearly not wanting to watch the two of you flirt.
‘I mean I have plenty of dreams about you but they’re definitely not so PG.’ He leans in close to you.
‘Stop trying to get out of losing, Eddie.’ You smirk leaning forward and placing a kiss on his nose.
‘Oh, it’s on.’ Eddie climbs out of the van, running over to your side and opening the door for you.
‘Always such the gentlemen.’ You say as he grabs your hand, pulling you into the arcade. You make your way over to one of the two-player machines to play against each other. Eddie inserts a quarter into the machine, making it start up. You both play the game, fighting against each other, fairly evenly matched. You don’t take your eyes off the screen but you lean over to Eddie.
‘If you win I’ll give you a blowjob.’ You whisper in his ear. Eddie groans taking his eyes off the screen and looking at you. You use the opportunity to strike the final blow, laughing as you win.
‘Told you I was better than you.’ You smirk at him.
‘You’re a little menace, you know that.’ He pouted up at you. You placed a kiss on his lips, wrapping your arms around his neck.
‘I wouldn’t be if you weren’t so easy to wind up.’ You say as his hands land on your hips.
‘It’s worth it to spend time with you.’ You falter for a moment. The smile slipping off your face.
‘Eddie, I-‘ You start, looking into his eyes. ‘I love you.’ You smile at him.
‘I love you, too.’ He smiles back. You just couldn’t bring yourself to tell him the truth, even though you wanted to.

Persona 4 Verse Nobu
(Deets below the cut)
Nobu joins Yasogami High as a 3rd year. Nobu does have his medical license, but it is temporarily suspended as the Inaba Municipal Hospital directors do not feel comfortable with having a doctor from outside attending, especially one as young as Nobu. They will reinstate his license pending graduation from Yasogami. Nobu convinces them to pay for all that he needs until that point as reneging on the agreement is a breach of contract for a reason unassociated with his performance.
Persona: Same as for Concern or Consideration, which will eventually be revealed. Evolution is the same as well. Still need to figure out 3rd Evolution for Golden Verse.
Arcana: Charity as with Concern or Consideration.
Palace: Coliseum
Shadow: Champion Gladiator who enjoys fighting and killing his opponents.
Basis for Palace: The charity arcana is associated with selflessness, while the reverse is associated with selfishness. Gladiators are normally associated with using simple brute strength, which lends itself for Shadow Nobu's prejudice about all those that are in it. Being the champion would generate the elitism. There's also the compound effect that for Nobu, who is a doctor and thus has a purpose of keeping people alive to have a Shadow that emphasis a propensity for killing others. Nobu's shadow enjoys killing as a result of Nobu's rage from having his kindness exploited constantly.
Battle Outcome: Scripted Loss for the Investigation Squad.
Defeated by: Nobu recovering enough to speak and quelling his shadow.
TV Appearance: August 22nd. (Unfortunately before the beach trip.)
First rain day for Midnight Channel: August 23rd with silhouette.
Second rain day for Midnight Channel: August 25th with full image.
Deadline to save: September 7th. (Actually September 8th, but due to trip to Tatsumi Port Island on the 8th, cuts the availability down by a day.)
Recovers: September 9th (but doesn't meet with the Investigation Squad until the 12th.)
Meeting Spot: Investigation Squad Headquarters. :P (Nobu is still somewhat recovering and doesn't return to school, but has a feeling that he will meet with them at the spot.)
Glasses: Initially the Gag Glasses (Nobu is the only member who wears glasses regularly.), then becomes a set of personally modified blue glasses that have his standard frames behind the special tv frames.
Optional Boss: Wayward Golem
Affect on storyline:
Music Show: Nobu assists as a backup singer to Rise, but he has also memorized everyone's parts, except Rise's. However, Teddie takes his instrument with him when he crowdsurfs. Nobu doesn't join the guys in trying to dive off stage and tries to warn them about diving off at the same time, but it arrives too late.
Pageant: Nobu offers his support to Chie in the pageant, inadvertantly informing her that she was signed up by someone else. Informs Chie that Yukiko, Rise, and Naoto have also been signed up, blowing Yosuke's cover. Madoka would also have been signed up in Fem P4 Protag verse.
Cross-Dress pageant: Nobu assists in the girls helping the guys get dolled up. Chie, Rise, Yukiko, and Naoto got together and decided that since Nobu told them about it, that they wouldn't sign him up. Nobu takes this as an opportunity to try and learn more things to be a better big brother.
Hot Spring Round 1: Nobu notices the girls' clothes and tries to convince the guys that it's not safe to go in there, but is ignored. Nobu hides off to the side. After the guys are chased off, Nobu makes himself known to the girls on the otherside of the wall. Nanako convinces him to let them have more time in the springs. (Nanako is his biggest weakness.)
Nanako's Hospitalization: Nobu is brought up to treat Nanako, but initially refuses due to his license being suspended by the hospital and risk of retaliation on grounds of preferential treatment. After the hospital signs a full release of liability form guarding him from prosecution. When Nanako dies temporarily, Nobu stays with her while the others leave. Teddie tells Nobu that he is going to meet up with the others. Nobu thinks of this as him saying the rest of the squad, rather than shadows. So when the squad returns, Nobu is surprised to see Teddie isn't with them.
Ski Trip: Nobu is unused to snowboarding, but he is a fast learner, much to Naoto's chagrin. Nobu is largely with Chie and Yosuke.
Ghost Story: Nobu doesn't like ghost stories and when Teddie shuts off the lights, it causes Nobu to hug Naoto in a panic. He releases her once the lights are back on and sighs seeing it's just Teddie. Nobu informs Teddie that they know it's him.
Snowball Fight: Nobu runs over to the guys side, abandoning Yosuke.
Hot Spring Round 2: When Teddie steps on Kanji's head, Nobu has a bad feeling and starts to go away from the guys side and out of the water, wearing a towel shortly before the partitioning wall falls over.
Time Skip: Nobu has taken up singing as another way of helping people. He still keeps up with his medical license, but uses singing as a way to help those who are hurt emotionally but not physically. Nobu also gives Nanako a ride to meet up with the protag, prompting Chie to tease the protag that Nobu is trying to take his spot as Nanako's big bro.
Combination Move: Love and War with Rise.
Effect: Charge, Concentrate, Tetrakarn, and Marakarn on entire team.

Jan 20 - Going Down (Stephen Strange x reader)
Done because I collapsed this morning (not unconscious though)
Tumblr media
You hadn't even seen it coming until it happened. One minute you were standing around with Stephen, and the next you felt the (now familiar) hum of your ears ringing.
Deep breaths, you reminded yourself gently. Just breathe Y/N, you're fine.
The room started spinning as you stood, and you reached an arm out onto Stephen's shoulder.
"Y/N? Are you okay, what's happening?"
The sound of your soft mumbling is the loudest thing you've ever heard over the silence of the library. "The rooms spinning."
"Did you drink water today?"
"No."
"Let's go get you a glass, okay?"
You whisper back something affirmative, but you can't get yourself to move. He stays by your side, his arm around your back as you start swaying.
You mumble his name as you start falling, hitting your shoulder on the wall as he helps lower you. "Oh shit...you're okay Y/N, just breathe alright?"
He sits there next to you as you take in air slowly, his hand running over your arm slowly. "Are you feeling better?"
"A little bit."
He hums back, pulling you closer to him. "Try to take it slowly today okay?"

Hey, you take requests, right? Could u write headcanons for Draco Malfoy with a gf who's prone to fainting?
Sure thing Anon! Sorry it took me so long to reply to this, i've been extremely busy with Exams and such. Now onto the headcanons :)
Tumblr media
- Draco could always see the telltale signs that you were about to faint
- The way your hands started shaking, the way your breathing suddenly became more shallow, the way you squeezed your eyes shut, and of course the fact that you seemed to be swaying on your feet
- He'd be behind you in the blink of an eye, his hand on the small of your back
- If you were in public, he'd find a place for you to sit down and hold you close to him
- If you were in the castle, he'd try and get you back to your dorms as soon as possible. He knows you prefer not to be around so many people when this happens
- When you do faint, he'd be right beside you, making sure you didn't get hurt during the fall
- He's always there when you wake up again, brushing his fingers over your hair and telling you that it's okay, darling. Everything's alright.

My #1 post of 2022
I just think theres something so beautiful about holding someone so extremely gently because you're scared to put pressure on them in fear that they'll break. When they've spent the last few minutes crying into your shoulder because they're tired, or stressed, or just had a bad day and they need to be near you and just be vulnerable, and now they've fallen asleep against you and you're gently running your fingers over their back and you want to help them lay down but you don't want them to wake up so you just let them lean against you as their breath fans against your neck and you just let your head softly rest on top of theirs and eventually you fall asleep holding them. Theres something so beautifully raw about that.

What Is This Feeling: Chapter 7
Fem!9th Doctor x Male!Rose Tyler
WITF Masterlist
Tumblr media
Through time and space once more, our extraordinary duo was off to have another adventure. The TARDIS sped through the time vortex.
"Where are we going?" Ross asked.
"The planet Panera. They have fantastic bread," the Doctor grinned at her companion.
The TARDIS suddenly switched course and jolted in the opposite direction. The Doctor examined the screen and tried to figure out what was going on. The ship finally materialized. The Doctor and Ross stepped out. It was a dimly lit area with carpeting and display cases. It looked like a museum.
"So, what is it? What's wrong," Ross instantly began to ask.
"Don't know. Some kind of signal drawing the TARDIS off course," the Doctor spoke as she looked around.
"Where are we?"
"Earth. Utah, North America. About half a mile underground," the Time Lord deduced.
"And when are we?"
"2012," she informed her friend as she began to inspect a case.
"God, that's so close. So I should be 26."
The Doctor found the light switch and flipped it on. The room and cases suddenly lit up.
"Blimey. It's a great big museum."
"An alien museum," she looked at the exhibits as she walked forward. "Someone's got a hobby." She shook her head.
"They must have spent a fortune on this. Chunks of meteorites, moon dust. That's the milometer from Roswell spaceship." She furrowed her eyebrows, confused.
"That's a bit of Slitheen!" Ross pointed to a Slitheen arm in one of the glass cases. "That's a Slitheen's arm. It's been stuffed."
The Doctor stopped in front of one of the cases. "Oh, look at you."
Ross walked behind the Doctor and looked over her shoulder. "What is it?"
'Delete…' she heard an echo in her mind.
"An old friend of mine. Well, enemy. Stuff of nightmares reduced to an exhibit. I'm getting old." She internally groaned.
"Is that where the signal's coming from," Ross asked.
"No, it's stone dead. The signal's alive, calling out for help."
The Doctor reached out her fingers, and lightly brushed the glass. Alarms suddenly blared from all around. The pair slightly jumped at the sudden noise. The Time Lord mentally kicked herself. She should have been more careful. Before they could make it to the TARDIS they were cut off and surrounded by guards. The guards were armed and aiming at them.
"If someone's collecting aliens, that makes you exhibit A," Ross nervously joked.
The two of them were escorted by the armed guards up many levels, and throughout the complex. The journey was mostly silent. Ross stayed close by her side, however. Finally they were led into their destination. An office full of over confident Americans.
The man sitting at the desk seemed to be the one behind the complex. He was being showed their recent purchase. It was a musical instrument. They did not know it, and looked completely daft whilst holding it.
"You really wouldn't hold it like that," she almost laughed at how stupid he looked.
"Shut it," she was yelled at.
"Really though, it's wrong," she insisted.
"Is it dangerous?" A girl around Ross's age asked.
"No, it just looks silly," the Doctor smirked.
She reached for the item. Firing bolts clicked all around her. She stopped. The man behind the desk curiously looked at her, and handed over the curved palm sized object.
"You just need to be-"she stroked the instrument softly, and out rang a beautiful sound. "Delicate." To prove her point, she played several different notes.
"It's a musical instrument," the man said, fascinated.
"And it's a long way from home," the Doctor commented.
"Here, let me," the man took the instrument from her hands.
She raised her eyebrows. That was rude. The man proceeded to touch it harder, causing no noise to come out.
"I did say delicate. It reacts to the smallest fingerprint. It needs precision," she once again informed him.
Once he finally got the hang of it and produced music, she smiled.
"Very good. Quite the expert," she complimented.
"As are you," he said before tossing the object on the floor.
The Doctor's jaw dropped. That was almost two hundred years old! It was used to entertain kings and queens, and he just threw it away?! Who is this man?!
"Who are you, exactly?"
"I'm the Doctor. And you are?"
"Like you don't know. We're hidden away with the most valuable collection of extra-terrestrial artifacts in the world, and you just stumbled in by mistake?"
The Doctor laughed. "Pretty much sums me up, yeah."
The man slowly walked around his desk, and got closer to the Doctor.
"The question is, how did you get in? Fifty three floors down, with your cat burglar accomplice. You're quite an artifact yourself, being rather pretty."
"The cat burglar accomplice is going to smack you if you don't give the 'artifact' personal space," Ross shot off angrily. It shocked the Doctor a bit. It was the first time he was ever verbally protective of her.
"Oh, he's English too! Hey, little lady Fauntleroy. Got you a boyfriend."
"This is Mister Henry Van Statten," the girl introduced. She was the only English person, besides Ross, at the complex.
"Who is he at home?" Ross snidely remarked.
"Mister Van Statten owns the internet," she added.
"Don't be stupid. No one owns the internet," he jabbed again.
"And let's just keep letting the world think that, right kids," Van Statten remarked, smug.
"So you're just an expert in everything except the things in your museum. Anything you don't understand, you lock it up."
"And you claim greater knowledge?" Van Statten challenged.
"I don't need to make claims. I know how good I am," she shot back.
"And yet, I captured you. Right next to the cage. What were you doing down there?" He asked.
The Doctor placed her hands on her hips. "You tell me," she sassed.
"The cage contains my one living specimen."
"And what's that?"
"Like you don't know," Van Statten scoffed.
"Show me."
"You want to see it?" Van Statten once again challenged the Doctor.
"Blimey, do I need to separate you two?" Ross remarked, annoyed.
"Goddard, inform the cage we're heading down. You, English. Look after the boy. Go and canoodle or spoon or whatever it is you British do. And you, Doctor with no name, come and see my pet."
Van Statten stood in the elevator with a smirk on his face. The Doctor gave Ross a reassuring look before stepping on the lift next to the American. The ride down was quick and silent. Once they stepped out of the lift, the Doctor was led over toward a large metal door. Van Statten spoke as he unlocked and opened the large door.
"We've tried everything. The creature has shielded itself but there's a definite sign of life inside."
"Inside? Inside what?" The Doctor asked, curiously.
A man in an orange hazard suit walked over to Van Statten.
"Welcome back, Sir. I've had to take the power down. The Metaltron is resting."
"Metaltron?"
'What kind of dumb name is that?' She thought.
"I thought of it myself," Van Statten stated proudly.
'Of course.'
"Although I'd much to prefer to find out its real name."
"Here, you'd better put these on," the man in the hazard offered her rubber gloves. "The last guy that touched it burst into flames."
"I won't touch it then," she said like it was most obvious.
"Go on, Doctor. Impress me," Van Statten grinned at her.
The Doctor narrowed her eyes at him before strutting past, into the cage. It was very dark as she looked around. She jumped slightly as the door slammed shut behind her.
The Time Lord continued to investigate. She found a small table with drills, and other torture tools. Her heart instantly went out to the creature. She turned to where she assumed the 'Metaltron' was. She couldn't make it out. The room was too dark.
"Look, I'm sorry about this. Mister Van Statten might think he's clever, but never mind him. I've come to help. I'm the Doctor."
A few seconds of silence passed before a blue light was seen. When the Metaltron spoke, two white lights flashed with its words.
"Doc-tor?"
The Doctor's eyes widened, and her hearts stopped. No! This can't happen. It's-
"Impossible," she managed to breathe out.
"The Doc-tor?" The Metaltron spoke with more confidence this time.
The lights came up to reveal a Dalek. The Doctor's worst enemy. And it was chained to the floor. This didn't stop the Doctor from crying out in fear.
"Ex-ter-min-ate! Ex-ter-min-ate!"
The Time Lord flung herself onto the door and started to pound her fists.
"Let me out," she practically screamed.
"Ex-ter-min-ate!"
The door wouldn't open. The Doctor took a step back and just stared at the monstrosity. Her entire body was quivering. Her hearts were pounding hard into her chest.
"You are an en-e-my of the Da-leks! You must be des-troyed!"
The Doctor closed her eyes and awaited death. This was it. This was how she would finally die after nine hundred years. Maybe it was her time. Suddenly she accepted her fate. She never realized until now that she was ready to go.
After a few seconds without pain, she opened her eyes. She was alive! Yet a small part inside of her was disappointed. That part was overshadowed by the sickening joy she suddenly felt over her enemy.
"It's not working." She started to laugh like she's gone mad. "Fantastic! Oh, Fantastic! Powerless! Look at you. The great space dustbin. How does it feel?"
The Dalek tried to roll backwards, but was stopped by the chains.
"Keep back!" It demanded.
"What for?" She launched herself forward and became face to eyestock with the Dalek. "What're you going to do to me?" She challenged.
The Doctor, bottled with rage, began to circle the creature. Like a lion hunting its prey. She wanted to intimidate it.
"If you can't kill, then what are you good for, Dalek? What's the point of you? You're nothing!"
The Gallifreyan finally stopped back in front of the Dalek.
"What the hell are you here for?"
"I am a-wait-ing or-ders!" It responded to her.
"What does that mean?"
"I am a sold-ier. I was bred to rec-ieve or-ders."
"Well you're never going to get any. Your race is dead!" She yelled at it. "You all burnt, all of you. Ten million ships on fire. The entire race wiped out in one second."
"You lie!"
"I watched it happen. I made it happen," she spoke maliciously.
"You des-troyed us?" It asked, almost sounding heartbroken.
The alien stopped and calmed down a bit. She turned away from the Dalek in guilt. Their race wasn't the only one she destroyed that day.
"I had no choice," she responded quietly.
"And what of the Ti-me Lo-rds?"
"Dead." She managed to choke out. "They burned with you. The end of the last great Time War. Everyone lost."
"And the coward survived."
This fueled her rage once more. However, she managed to keep it under control.
"Oh, and I caught your little signal. Help me. Poor little thing. But there's no one else coming 'cause there's no one else left."
"I am a-lone in the un-i-verse," it almost sounded defeated.
"Yep."
"So are you. We are the same."
The Doctor spun around, no longer able to hold her anger.
"We're not the same! I'm not-"she paused as a cruel thought crossed her mind. "No, wait. Maybe we are. You're right. Yeah, okay. You've got a point. 'Cause I know what to do. I know what should happen. I know what you deserve." She grinned sickeningly.
"Exterminate."
With that the Doctor pulled a lever on a nearby console. The Dalek lit up with electricity. It began to scream, and she just watched.
"Have pity!" It cried out.
"Why should I? You never did." She pulled another lever, and increased the electricity.
"Help me!"
Suddenly the door opened and guards flooded in. She launched herself towards the last lever. No! This was her only chance to kill it! She was suddenly yanked away from the panel and was practically carried out of the cage.
"No! You've got to destroy it!" She yelled.
The Doctor ripped herself away from the guards once outside the cage. She frowned deeply as she waited for Van Statten to leave the cage. She was very cross with the American man. Once he left the cage they were guided towards the lift.
"The metal's just an armor. The real Dalek creature's inside," she explained to Van Statten.
"What's it look like?" he asked.
"A nightmare. It's a mutation. The Dalek race was genetically engineered. Every single emotion was removed except hate," she tried to explain to them. These stupid little apes weren't getting the big picture!
"Genetically engineered," he spoke as if it were Christmas. "By whom?"
"By a genius, Van Statten," she was starting to get stressed out. "By a man who was king of his own little world. You'd like him."
Van Statten's assistant Goddard decided to butt herself in.
"It's been on Earth for over fifty years. Sold at private auction, moving from one collection to another. Why would it be a threat now?" she asked.
"Because I'm here." How many times does she have to explain it? "How did it get to Earth? Does anyone know?"
"The records say it came from the sky like a meteorite. It fell on Earth on the Ascension Islands. Burnt in its crater for three days before anyone could get near it and all that time it was screaming. It must have gone insane," Goddard spoke in a superior tone.
The Doctor stood for a moment and thought. "It must of fallen through time. The only survivor."
"You talked about war," the human female asked.
"The Time War. The final battle between my people and the Dalek race."
"But you survived, too," Van Statten said with a devilish smile on his face.
"Not by choice," The Doctor added grimly.
"This means the Dalek isn't the only alien on Earth. Doctor, there's you. The only one of your kind in existence."
Just as the doors opened, the Doctor was once again grabbed. She struggled against their grip as they led her into her own cage.
"Any type of exposed metal is going to affect the laser scanner," Van Statten smiled.
The Doctor ended up having to shed her boots, jacket, and top. She was able to keep her bra on because Van Statten claimed he was a 'gentleman'. So now that the Doctor was stripped, she got chained spread eagle in front of the scanner.
"Now, smile!" Van Statten said, cheerfully.
The Doctor bit her lip as a painful shock ran through her body from the laser.
"Two hearts! Binary Vascular System. Oh, I am so going to patent this," Van Statten said.
The Doctor glared at the man. "So that's your secret. You don't just collect this stuff, you scavenge it."
She shook her head in anger as Van Statten went on to say how he cured the common cold and was going to sell cures for every disease. The Doctor was getting frustrated.
"Do you know what a Dalek is, Van Statten? A Dalek is honest. That creature in your dungeon is better than you."
"In that case, I'll be true to myself and continue," Van Statten frowned.
"Listen to me! That thing downstairs is going to kill every last one of us!" She tried to get through to him.
"Nothing can escape the cage."
Van Statten turned the laser up a Koch and blasted the Doctor. She bit her lip harder as she tried to endure the pain. Once the laser stopped, she attempted to catch her breath and speak.
"But it's woken up! It knows I'm here. It's going to get out. Van Statten, I swear, no one in this base is safe. No one on this planet!"
He turned the laser to its highest setting. It once again blasted the Doctor. This time around wasn't for informational purposes. He just wanted to hear her scream. And he did.
