I think that 2023 is a good time for many of us, and allies in particular, to practice again the dying art of minding our own fucking business when it comes to the identities and lives of other people.
You see someone from one of your classes in a public place with a different gender presentation/expression than they typically have? Mind your own business.
You discover that one of your coworkers is in a same gender relationship, but they aren't out at work? Not your place to share that information in the workplace.
You notice that your neighbor in a red state takes a road trip across state lines with their transgender child every 3-6 months? No you fucking didn't.
You overhear students in your classroom using a different name and different pronouns for one student than you are used to using? If you live in a state hostile to trans rights, pretend that you don't know anything about this and report nothing.
You suspect that an acquaintance of yours might be gay, but they deny it when asked directly? Leave them the fuck alone.
One of your friends refuses to publicly label their sexuality? Good for them, you aren't entitled to that information anyway.
Your sibling comes out to you as questioning, but isn't comfortable sharing that with your parents yet? Keep your fucking mouth shut.
Don't out people; coming out is a personal choice not a moral obligation. Don't demand personal information about other people's sexuality or sex lives. You aren't entitled to information about anyone's gender identity, assigned gender at birth, or transition.
Bring back privacy, allow people to have control over the information that is shared about them publicly; it might save their job, their housing, their parental rights and their child's safety, or even save lives.

VPN is a must for people who lives in a conservative country, the government of Indonesia aggressively censoring any information about sex and sexuality.
Google is basically very censored to adhere with religious conservatism. Even a famous LGBT game is not available for steam here, I'm scared with the ever growing censorship.
My only hope is that I'm trying to leave this accursed land and never look back, if I'm going to help people here I'm going to do it from another country. As an autistic afab bi/ace and trans genderfluid, i feel like an apostate hiding from the chantry before the successful mage rebellion. That's how it feels, you are hiding from people who wanted you dead, you are inherently a monster in religious people's eyes just because you were born different
The preachers screaming for your kind to die, parents praying that their children wouldn't be LGBT, and you are afraid that people might 'smell' your difference and you'll be branded as a monster. You can't get a job, your friends will distance themselves and your parents?
They'll try to 'fix' you through anyway possible
Once they find out that you are LGBT, you become a monster in people's eyes. Cursed, broken, unwanted, sinner...
The pious decent people will cry out for your blood, they will hunt you down and destroy your life or try to convert you into become straight
This is why I'm very passionate about defending mages in da universe. Because they are too damn relatable, maybe people here find me yelling mage rights and how anders was right all the time annoying, heck i know lots block me.
But i fiercely defending mages and elves not just because i like them, but i know how does it feels. I understand what they felt before they won their freedom in a very personal level
It's so hard to live here, sometimes i just want to give up. Sometimes i just want to throw myself into a river and just be done with everything
But i can't let the oppressor win... God give me strength and forgive me for being my true self
I came out to my parents about my bisexuality and they were horrified. My mother thought it was her sin that made me bisexual, I had to lie to my parents that 'im not a lost cause'
I said this to them just so i wouldn't get beaten by my abusive father:
"I CAN LIKE MEN TOO! I WILL MARRY A MAN! IM NOT A LESBIAN!!! SEEEEEE!!! I CAN BE STRAIGHT!!!!! I'M NOT HOPELESS"
And they were a bit relived and my father said that he'll pray that I'll get a husband and tell me to never give up in pursuing boys
They thought that I'm bisexual because i can't find a man to date, god forbid they found out that I'm genderfluid transgender as well....
People mostly accepted my asexuality but only because it's not gay, lesbian bisexual pansexual or trans. People just thought it's weird so they dismissed my asexuality as 'nothing'
I'm trying to educate my brother to not be homophobic but I'm scared that school and society will eventually turning him homophobic
God give me strength to keep fighting

Trans Day of Visibility
There's a lot of anti-trans stuff going on in the world. But this Trans Day of Visibility, I want to talk abut trans joy.
In my first poetry writing workshop class in college, the professor led a creative exercise. He had us imagine a body of water that we knew, and describe it and the area around it detail. Then, he had us imagine there was a dead body at the bottom of the body of water, and had us describe the area and the water again, but without actually referencing the dead body.
He wanted to help us learn how to convey feelings and meanings through our writing without necessarily stating them outright ("Show, don't tell," etc.).
Today, I've been thinking about that writing exercise, but with something else at the bottom of the body of water: an orb of pure joy. Incandescent. Shimmering. Pulsing with excitement and hope.
That is the trans joy I experience in my life.
I am like a lake, with an orb of pure joy resting within me. My trans joy. The thrill of using my chosen name for the first time with a stranger. The euphoria of doing what I wanted with my hair. The congruence of hearing other people use my pronouns. When @genderqueerpositivity sends me something in the mail addressed to "Mx" [my name], or something trans-related, and I feel so Seen in the best way possible.
Yes, the joy is seated deep inside of me. But it transforms the whole landscape of myself and the spaces I am in. I can't write about the lake and the area surrounding it in the same way, because the joy spills into everything.
I love being trans. I love being genderqueer. And I love sharing my trans joy.
Happy Trans Day of Visibility 💜🤍💚

hello all! welcome to my queer advice blog!
this is my blog where i will do my best to give any advice on queer-related topics to those who need some! i know there are plenty of blogs like this already, but i wanted to make my own because i know that if i had had someone to ask these questions to when i was struggling, it would’ve saved me so much pain, so i want the chance to be for someone the person that i wish i’d had! below is some basic information about me and this blog!
about me-
- my name is reign and my pronouns are she/her
- i am a queer/genderqueer aroace sapphic bi lesbian
- i am autistic and have ADHD, OCD, depression, and NPD
- i am not a minor, but i am not really an adult either. i don’t pretend to be some queer expert, especially since i’m young, but i still have some knowledge and advice and want to put that to good use.
- i love music, writing, poetry, songwriting, queer theory, and queer studies
- i am a staunch inclusionist when it comes to the queer community. i think policing queer terms is the antithesis of queer solidarity and does literally no good. sometimes lesbians are bisexual and/or guys. sometimes trans women use he/him pronouns. sometimes your gender is related to flowers. get over it. i will not tolerate exclusionism on my page.
about this blog-
- you can ask for advice on anything queer-related
- you can vent about negative experiences or share positive experiences
- you can ask respectful questions about queer topics/identities you don’t understand
- i will post about queer validation, queer solidarity, and queer joy
- i will occasionally share my own experiences
- i will not give medical advice (so if you need medical advice in terms of transition, i highly recommend the blogs @genderpunks and @transgenderteensurvivalguide )
boundaries-
- do not use they/them pronouns on me
- do not send me discourse. i will delete it.
- do not interact with me if you are bigoted in any way.
- if you are a queer exclusionist but you still need advice on something, you can send an ask and i will still answer you because all queer people deserve kindness in their questioning. but if you bring your exclusionism into it or try to invalidate me or others, your ask will not be answered.
that’s pretty much it for now! could i get a boost? @justlgbtthings @genderpunks @transgenderteensurvivalguide @trans-mom @stopcannibalizingourown @genderkoolaid @wearequeer-andwearehere @makingqueerhistory @1000lesbians @soft-sapphic-love @kenochoric @neopronouns @sapphicspoonie @sapphic-sprite @intersexfairy @queerasfact @queercutlureis @our-queer-experience @aspecpplarebeautiful @genderqueerpositivity @aroace-people-are-lgtbq @aro-culture-is @aroaceconfessions @transenbyconfessions

(Image description: ten square pride flags with white text that reads "you'll never have the comfort of our silence again".)
The flags are the intersex inclusive progress pride, trans, leather, genderqueer, bisexual, pansexual, gay man, lesbian, intersex, and nonbinary flags.
These are inspired by this post, an image of a sign taken at an anti-Anita Bryant protest in 1978.

Hello, if you haven’t seen my ask on the blog genderqueerpositivity, please ignore it. I missed the initial instructions on the flag response.
Anywho, if you are still taking combination flag requests I have one I’d like. However I’d like to note, I found one previously done that I identified with and would use if requests have been closed or are too busy.
But what I had in mind was a Gilbert 9 stripe pride flag background with layered hearts on top that are (from biggest to smallest) non-binary flag, pansexual flag, and asexual flag.
Thank you for your time. Much love💜
Here you go!
