#haikyuu revolves around kageyama and hinata. not kagehina.

as much as i talk about wanting to delete tiktok i also think it's hilarious to see that particular side of the haikyuu fandom. the amount of people that have consumed the entirety of haikyuu and still don't understand the absolute basics of kageyama and hinata's characters and their relationship dynamic is astonishing.

I love reading your kagehina posts!! Sometimes I see stuff like they aren't even friends 😭 and probably drifted apart and partner in sports is different from actual friendship lmao
Thank you!
dfghhjkl yeah i've seen those claims and I firmly believe that anyone who's saying any of that needs to take reading comprehension 101. I've talked about this claim a little bit here but to reiterate, kageyama and hinata's bond- their unique connection, the meaningfulness of it, the way that they support and teach and learn from each other- is one of the core aspects of the series. Like, there were so many instances of people commenting about how special their relationship was that I made a list. This post here I think are also relevant to addressing this. (if you couldn't tell, i talk about this a lot lol. But I don't mind talking about it some more)
Point is, they mean a lot to each other. And yes, haikyuu does make a point of showing how volleyball isn't always a 1 v 1 comparison to irl and how volleyball doesn't have to mean everything to be meaningful but at the same time, that's inapplicable to hinata and kageyama because the other side of that coin is that sometimes, volleyball is everything. It could not possibly be more in your face that Kageyama and Hinata formed an instantaneous connection and became a duo to be feared like overnight because they recognized that the other person is exactly like them- someone who will give everything for volleyball, who will never give up, a person who complements them. and understands them. Kageyama's little backstory moment that changed everything (and fucked me up permanently) is that he's been waiting for (someone like) Hinata his entire life. So what if they're not be hanging out 24/7 outside of volleyball? (which they do hang out outside of matches btw later on in life, kageyama asked hinata to play beach vb with kunimi and kindaichi) They already have a mutual understanding about the importance of volleyball in their lives. Also like, even in the last chapter/panel of haikyuu literally just reiterates that for the two of them, volleyball and each other and intrinsically intertwined elements and that they intend on revolving around each other as partner/rivals for the rest of their lives.
If we're looking only at the anime, that list i linked above is entirely taken from season. Like, the the sheer weight of kageyama "i can spike, toss, etc by myself" tobio saying the words "as long as you're with me, you're invincible" like 1-2 episodes later?? This bullshit where kageyama extracts a promise from hinata to follow him to the top of the world still happens in the anime too. That bit in the first Seijoh match where Kageyama says that Oikawa's going to set to Iwaizumi, not because it's the most logical move but because he trusts him so innately that it's the most natural move to make and then going on to make the exact same set to Hinata in the same match?? The extra animated linger on Kageyama and Hinata's fingers touching as they stop the Miya's quick? Oikawa and Atsumu both saying that Kageyama's "wrapped around Hinata's finger"?
Like come on now, does this look like two people who are going to drift apart? Be for real. They're too obsessed with each other to do that.

i think the only thing i seriously ship anymore is kagehina and that’s bc the entire story of haikyuu revolves around kageyama and hinata as rivals turned partners and strive the entire story to outdo/challenge/uplift each other and promised to always play volleyball together. it’s been 3 fucking years they got a vacation home in my frontal lobe

I better see everyone praising hinata because he stopped karasuno from self-destruction and basically saved the game.

Reading your analysis has ruined me because now I see Naruto and Sasuke everywhere. Hinata and Kageyama from Haikyuu(their ship name is actually kagehina too wtf)? just naruto and sasuke minus the gay. The influence of Naruto is incredible team 7 trio seems to be copied everywhere in anime? Nagisa, Karma, Kayano. Armin, Eren, Mikasa. Big 3 in MHA. Yuji, Megumi, Nobara. Norman, Emma, Ray. It's the twogirlsandaguy tvtrope. Is starwars1977 the OG inspiration?American influence in anime interests me
Hi.
I have seen/read SNK and seen the first season of Jujutsu Kaisen anime. And yes, the trope of two boys plus one girl, does stand out noticeably. However, the dynamics are completely different. Where in JJK, the team dynamic among Nobara, Yuji and Megumi (even if the character specification is one skilled introvert, one strong, loud mouth aka protagonist, and one aggressive dreamer) is much more balanced, and not cringe inducing. Unlike Team seven.
JJK's team comes off as more organic and their action reaction to each other is much healthier and contributory to battles in a fair manner. It's team seven but much better. Also, Nobara is exponentially better than Sakura as a stand alone character. She is skillful, considerate even if a little violent and has a spine. She is also not a simpering fangirl, unlike Sakura, and this helps contribute to a healthier team dynamic when seen opposite team seven. Gege is clearly influenced by Naruto, but he definitely made it better, in terms of give and take of a group dynamic.
SNK is different, even if it has the same team trope. SNK is edgier. Mikasa is a very different character as compared to Sakura. Her goals and motivations do revolve around Eren, but it comes from a much deeply seated emotion, and isn't surface level, as opposed to Sakura. She is also selfless and skilled in her own right. She has a clear understanding of the world she lives in, and her backstory is set up to be tragic, which moulds her character and accordingly, informs her bond with Eren. There's substance there, unlike SS. Armin and Eren are also quite different from Sasuke and Naruto as characters and their mutual dynamic is also quite different.
So yes, similar tropes are seen in other animes, from what I have noticed. But it's only surface level. They are also devoid of homosexual/homoerotic subtext and text, unlike in case of Sasuke and Naruto.
Team seven was consistently about Sasuke and Naruto, the rest were just supporting characters. Kishi had to give them a smokescreen for his gay love story, and hence he wrote Sakura as largely irrelevant but acting as kind of a convenient bridge between Naruto and Sasuke, in order to establish their bond to the audience without making it explicit. At the end of the day, Kakashi and Sakura didn't matter to Sasuke. He left the village and only stopped to fight with Naruto in part one, because it was the only bond that mattered to him. He dismissed them without difficulty in the war arc and kage arc, completely refusing to acknowledge their importance or even existence, despite Naruto's urges even during the war.
The only person that mattered to Sasuke in team seven was Naruto, team seven was not even the starting off point. He had already noticed Naruto much before they graduated, and defended him from Sakura's half witted mockery without even having worked as a team.
So I understand why audience would notice similar patterns in other media in this genre, but it's merely superficial in principle. Naruto is a story of love. The love between Sasuke and Naruto. That's why they are different from the rest.

The Birth of a Serene King
Kageyama’s character development truly shines in chapters 284 to 286 with the birth of a serene king and the motif of threat (trust).
The Serene King
Tumblr media
Tanaka makes an interesting request to Kageyama, to which Kageyama’s answer is left unknown until the end of the chapter.
Kageyama’s character arc up to this point has revolved around learning how to play with his teammates, cooperate in the best way possible, and overall become a better setter. However, there’s a delicate balance between giving your spikers your all and understanding your spikers.
Particularly two setters come into mind when thinking about these concepts: Oikawa and Atsumu (who are both Kageyama’s seniors).
Oikawa’s playstyle consists of perfectly adapting to his teammates, understanding their playstyles and conditions, and giving them the toss that they want, thus placing power in the hands of the spikers.
In contrast, Atsumu’s playstyle revolves around the fact that he will, without a doubt, give his spikers the best set possible regardless of their opinion. Atsumu even points out that how Kageyama differs from this mindset (calling him a “goody two shoes”) in the way that he molds to his spikers’ needs, even if he’s aware that he’s not giving them the best possible set.
Considering these vastly different mindsets and how both Oikawa and Atsumu have impacted Kageyama’s growth, Kageyama’s answer here will ultimately reveal how he chooses to strike the perfect balance between two ideals.
Tumblr media
When Tanaka asks for less sets, he’s essentially asking the same question: how will Kageyama respond to his spiker’s requests?
He thinks back to when Tanaka had asked him for less sets before, with Tanaka’s additional request of being “subtle and lowkey.” In the past, Kageyama agreed full heartedly, as a genuine attempt to improve from his previous mistakes; In the present, Kageyama realizes that he knows what the best decision is, and he will follow suit with his decision even if it means disobeying his spikers.
(He also responds in a very straightforward, blunt way that goes against Tanaka’s original request of being lowkey).
He also thinks back to when he asked certain spikers how they felt about a set, in comparison to when he simply decided how to set. Keep in mind that Kageyama has been playing volleyball for practically his entire life, which means that his game sense and intuition is far better than most other players. As a result, he knows what set is best to give to each spiker, regardless of their input or not. By following their input, he could actually be doing them a disservice as in the case of Tanaka and the crucial point he scored.
The most crucial panel of this page is Atsumu, placed in the very center, representative of how Kageyama’s mindset has changed. He now acts closer to Atsumu’s playstyle, because he sets the way he knows best and isn’t afraid to go against his spiker’s wishes.
Although this description may sound like Kageyama’s middle school playstyle, there are a few key differences.
Tumblr media
1. Middle school Kageyama never considered his teammate’s abilities when setting; he just expected them to be at his level. He was hyperaware of the enemy blockers and how to avoid them, but he took less consideration for his teammates. Present Kageyama understands his teammate’s abilities and gives them the set that they can best utilize.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
However, this is different from deciding FOR the spiker. Kageyama purposely sets in a way that gives his spikers more options to attack, ultimately letting them have the final decision in how to best attack.
Coach Ukai and Sugawara are specifically shown here, as Kageyama’s mentors during his time at Karasuno, to represent how Kageyama’s grown from the beginning of the year. Kageyama now puts trust into his teammates to know their best weapons, and he simply assists them by giving them the best possible set.
2. Middle school Kageyama was nicknamed “King of the Court” due to the way he stood out for his overall skill above others. However, Present Kageyama’s skill doesn’t just highlight him as a good player, but it emphasizes the entire team’s skill. He uses his skill to make his whole team appear stronger, representing his growing ability to work with others, rather than appearing strong as just an individual.
Tumblr media
When he sets the ball to Tanaka for his extreme straight shot, the entire stadium places their focus on Tanaka’s ability rather than Kageyama’s set. Tanaka was able to make this incredible shot because of Kageyama’s willingness to trust him, representative of Kageyama’s growth as a serene king.
Tumblr media
The commentators point out how Atsumu’s plays tend to be flashier the trickier they are, but they specifically add that this isn’t the most defining factor of a setter’s skill. A good setter shines the most not when they make flashy plays, but when they blend in effortlessly into their team’s dynamics, which is exactly the style of play Kageyama settles into.
Tumblr media
In this chapter, Kageyama finally finds the balance between Oikawa and Atsumu’s playstyles, and he discovers his own style as the serene king.
The serene king is representative of Kageyama’s growth not only as a player but also as a teammate, and shines light on his individual technique through the motif of threat (trust).
Threat (Trust)
Tumblr media
Going back to Kageyama’s initial set to Tanaka, Tanaka says an interesting line: “Damn, I’ve got chills,” setting up the foundation for threat (trust).
Threat (trust) is the idea that drives Kageyama’s playstyle. The foundation of trust built around their team ultimately acts as a threat to them to play at their maximum ability. The absolute trust that Kageyama places on his teammates simultaneously places intense pressure (in a good way) on said players to do their very best. Because Kageyama is giving his all to his spikers, the spikers are expected to do the same.
However, this idea isn’t exclusive to just Kageyama.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When Kageyama doesn’t reach high enough to catch the ball from Suna, he expects Hinata to complain, thinking back to when Hinata called him out for taking it “easy.” However, Hinata doesn’t complain in this moment because he trusts that Kageyama is doing his best, therefore there’s no need to call him out.
However, the next thing Hinata says, “Give me the next one too,” is actually a thinly veiled threat. By asking for the next ball, he’s telling Kageyama that he trusts him to give him the ball, but he’s also threatening him to do so. This is a threat from Hinata to Kageyama, a reverse from what we’ve seen before with Tanaka, but it serves the same purpose: to place pressure on Kageyama to continue putting his best efforts into every ball.
Tumblr media
The motif of threat (trust) revolves mostly around Kagehina, but it’s arguably the driving force behind all of the rivalries in Haikyuu. The complete trust between the two of them pushes both of them towards higher and higher goals and puts pressure on them to outdo one another, until they ultimately end up at the top of the world.

Hey peeps!
This was my contribution for Day 3 of Kagehina week [https://twitter.com/kagehinaweek] and I know these fests usually revolve around fic and art, but the prompt was music so WHAT BETTER WAY TO FILL IT!!!
I don't know what it is about this song. It just hit me in a place I wasn't expecting when I first heard it. I'm a HUGE Swiftie and this song means so much to me. Seeing her progression leading up to an entire album of stunning love songs, this one chief among the was such as gift. I added it to my kagehina playlist as soon as I joined the fandom.
I think this song is perfect for them in every way. They've both been through their own personal battles. Very different ones, but just as important for them both. And it's by finding each other and being in each other's lives that they've learnt what true acceptance and partnership is. I will go to the depths of the ocean with this ship and I hope all you other shippers will go down with me xD
Big shout out to MockingJamie [https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCjD9...] who turned me onto their rendering settings which have made SUCH a difference for me omg.
Hope you like the video guys

Only a light drizzle, and the rope of love tightening around his chest. Each “Tsukki!” exclaimed and “sorry” that followed shortly after pulling the rope harder, each breath of air barely filling his ever suffocating lungs.
Love was. Awful.

Haikyuu!!│ KageHina Spies AU
The desire to write some short KageHina content was an itch that needed to be scratched, so here you go!  ♡\( ̄▽ ̄)/♡
Tumblr media
Okay let me start of by prefacing that this duo is a disaster when it comes to working together in a professional environment.
But people still hire them because despite the chaos that tends to ensue when they are together, they’re actually very efficient and good at their jobs.
It’s like that duo you expect to crumble under pressure or when faced with seemingly impossible tasks - yet they end up combining their strengths to cover for the other’s weaknesses.
This has earned them a high rank of respect among this field of work and earned them the notorious label as “The Devil’s Duo.”
Kageyama is the organiser of the two, anything revolving around strategic thinking, devising a plan and alternatives for B,C and so on is his duty. And since these are his ultimate strengths, you can bet there are never any loopholes or chances of failure when they are devised, he takes EVERYTHING into account down to the last detail.
Last time Kags left this to Hinata they were almost caught, so from then on he refuses to allow Hinata to even touch the organisation process.
Also once while they were on a mission, Kageyama was prone behind a pair of barrels, whipping his head around to check on his tangerine counterpart, only to be greeted with the sight of Hinata and his trousers halfway down his thighs??
Apparently because he really needed to pee?? Like they’re in the middle of a potential life or death scenario and homeboy is just letting Niagara falls flow.
Needless to say Hinata got one hell of an earful and then some on the journey back to the agency.
His face was pallid as a ghost and you could practically see the bodhisattva  faces of Tanaka and Nishinoya praying for his safety swirling in his mind.
In the end though, the mission was successful. I suppose you could credit it to Hinata’s relieved bladder.
Also, they look so fucking hot in suits.
Like. Chef kiss.
KAGEHINA IN SPY SUITS SOMEONE PLEASE GET ON THAT I BEG OF YOU.
Being quick, light and dexterous on his feet, it’s usually Hinata’s job to explore the area and obtain information or stalk a required target.
Another speciality of his is distracting witnesses, being the extroverted and bubbly person he is, It’s practically effortless for him to charm and engage people in conversation. Half the time he doesn’t even realise he’s doing it for the sake of his job, it just comes naturally. This tends to lower suspicion considerably and put them in a much safer spot to manoeuvre around.
Though unfortunately in these circumstances, it’s often left to Kageyama to pull some GI Joe shit in his place, his clumsy ass does tend to stumble occasionally.
If Hinata is ever finished with his task and accompanying him at these points, you bet you’ll hear the sound of repressed snorting and the strained whisper of "Hinata boke!”
Hm, I wonder what that was? Probably the wind.
Intense stifled laughter
Yeah, definitely the wind.
You can literally sense their former captain shaking his head in shame lmao.
Despite how dense Kageyama can be, Hinata is surprisingly perceptive, push come to shove.
This puts them at an advantage because Kageyama is able to see things at face-value, while also having a partner able to read between the lines and see things from different angles.
Definitely not a skill you expected Hinata to possess, huh?
Although this doesn’t prevent him from being an aloof idiot with no sense of urgency outside of these situations. Once Hinata was nearly late for a job because he overslept and stopped to get a sandwich. Kageyama almost combusted.
“THE HELL DO YOU MEAN YOU OVERSLEPT AND STOPPED TO GET FOOD? ARE YOU A DUMBASS OR SOMETHING?!”
Overall, a comedic but efficient duo who get the job done. The agency definitely isn’t the same without them.

hi!!!!!!!!!!! im rlly curious on whats ur stance to whats gonna happen next in haikyuu!! like do u think there will be a season 4?? or like whats gonna happen after the third years graduate because the entire dynamic of karasuno will change? idk i just wanted to know ur opinion on these kinda things!!
Hello petal! On your first question, well...
Tumblr media
Yes, I mean, I do hope we’ll get a new season for Haikyuu. Even if we have no official announcement yet, Haikyuu is a still a top seller and a very good product on marketing terms, so it’s only natural for Production I.G to resume it, eventually. I understand they were really busy with SNS S3, but now that it's over the possibilities of having it are higher than ever. Let’s hope for 2019 to be the year!
About the other one, well, IF and HOW Haikyuu is going to continue after the Nationals and after the 3rd year’s graduation is up to speculations, there are so many scenarios, but I think the possibilities are two:
It will end with the end of this year’s nationals (DON’T YOU DARE FURUDATE) and so there’s nothing to talk about, really;
It will end with the last game Hinata and Kageyama will play in their third year of high school
The only thing I hope is that it won’t stop at the end of the nationals. As I said before, Haikyuu is a hella big and popular franchise, basically a cash cow, it could literally go on forever if they only want it to. The setup for next year is already done and we’re all here for it.
Remember that: “Haikyuu!! is a Japanese shōnen manga series written and illustrated by Haruichi Furudate that revolves around a high school volleyball team and the relationship between players Hinata Shoyou and Kageyama Tobio” (x). And there so much more room for development. They’re just laying the foundations for what will happen in their third year of high school, they’re the main protagonists and I think the story would just be beheaded if they’re not gonna show how beautiful the flowers of the kagehina tree are.As we say in Italy: “As long as there is Kagehina, there is hope”.
I don’t think that the retirement would change things much, and I don’t think Karasuno would mourn their 3rd years that much. What would influence them the most is:
what was the outcome of the Nationals: a winning or a losing Karasuno could change EVERYTHING (of course)
who are the new members to join the club
who are the new people who would influence them
My favorite hc is that the little giant would play a big role in the development of the next gen arc. I think Hinata will finally meet him, but the outcome would probably be very different from what we all expect it to be.
If Karasuno ends up not winning the nationals (which I strongly hope), the little could come and train them along with coach Ukai. Or he can take Ukai’s spot in case something happens (we know old coach Ukai is getting worse and worse) and he’s unable to keep training them. Actually, this would be a hell of a plot twist that could create a completely different scenario and breathe new life into a story that tends to just repeat itself.
So yeah, we just have to wait and see!!!

Me, out loud: Yeah, I ship Kagehina
me, internally: I’m not as concerned about them being in a romantic relationship as much as I am just obsessed with how they’re the biggest influences in each other’s lives and how they push each other to be the best they can be but also make up for each other’s weaknesses and are a perfect match except they’re not. They’re great without each other and greatest together and the best when they figure out how to balance growing with each other vs without. They’re a fundamental force in each other’s constant evolution as both volleyball players and as people. Shoving their relationship into either a strictly romantic or platonic category tends to diminish their importance to each other and strip their relationship of its complexity. But also, they’d be a cute couple and if this was a lesser anime/manga and hinata was a girl, they’d be the obvious endgame ship.

top 5 ships. 1) obv jikook 😂😂
idk what a jikook is. ;) lol jk
well I wonder of you mean Bangtan ships or ships in general…I’ll do both?
BANGTAN SHIPS:
1) Jungcock x Jibooty ok i won’t do that
1) Jikook
2) Namjin
3) VHope/Yoonseok
4) Jihope
5) Probably 2seok. Cause no one expects it and it actually works XD
OVERALL OTPs:
1) Ereri/Riren (Eren x Levi - Attack on Titan)
Here me out–I found out their ages after it was too late if you’re worried because cmon Levi looked like he was 20-sumthing and I swore Eren was already 18 yet–. Anyways, I don’t really ship in the canonverse that much (cause yeah, it doesn’t really make sense) so I always think of Eren as 18+ anyways so whatever. But I owe everything to these two, because they got me into the world of the gay bois. Never turned back since :)
2) Jikook/Kookmin
yeah well. you all know. it’d be an insult not to put them at least second. psh.
3) Viktuuri (Viktor x Yuuri - Yuri on Ice!)
if you were here on Wednesday afternoons, you also probably know. I’ll never see Katsudon the same way again.
4) Kagehina (Kageyama x Hinata - Haikyuu!!)
My volleyball fluff crows. They precious and need to be squished over and over again. By each other.
5) Dizzie (Darcy x Lizzie - Pride & Prejudice)
lol. for the record i do not approve of calling them Dizzie (sounds weird) but that’s what popular fan culture used to call them in like 2012 so w/e. But yes, they are the OTPs to end all OTPs and the fundamental of what all my other OTPs have more or less revolved around. Jane Austen invented love-hate relationships who knew (don’t quote me on that she probs didn’t tbh cause literature is subjective).
dere u go. ofc this was long. oops. honestly some of my other favs didnt even make it onto the list so this was short lol
put “top 5” anything in my ask and i will answer

thoughts on hq1.22-2.10
more of my thoughts barfed out: 1. season1 is so much better than remembered it because i’ve given a lot more thought to everyone’s character development, and i’m familiar enough with the story now that i notice much more details about side characters’ behaviors 2. soundtrack is still as hyfy as ever, once again i’m addicted 3. tsukki was really lucky to have run across kuroo 4. tsukki was also really lucky to have a friend like yamaguchi 5. they just all contribute to eachother’s development so well... it’s almost like they care a lot about each other or something c: 6. i was never a huge kagehina shipper, but now that i’m taking the time to dissect their interactions more, i can really see it. even if canon they are 100% straight, there’s really noone else in the world that can be what they are to each other except for them. 7. ennoshita is so good-natured. he’s in the limelight yet he’s so naturally mature. he always gives people insightful feedback and holds them back from doing stupid things without doing it forcefully like daichi. 8. i was never a huge oikawa fan, but the more i watch haikyuu there’s no way i can’t fall for him. he has a very similar personality to my boyfriend. naturally draws people to him, always thinking about others and observing others’ needs, makes everyone around them perform to their full potential. and the fact that he was willing to help kageyama by giving him a crucial insight into changing despite the fact that 50% of his insecurity and hatred revolves around kageyama - i would have never done that, i’m definitely not even remotely that helpful towards people i dislike (this also reminds me of my bf, lol). the only thing that sucks about him is his insecurity, but i don’t even hate that xD 9. i also love that they included Ikejiri’s and Michimiya’s character development (this is earlier in S1) during their losses at the Interhigh - this was part of the reason i initially got hooked on this series, because it ties in real-life lessons of winning/losing, passage of time, taking things for granted, etc. into the side characters. it makes the world that much richer and more believable. most series only explore the winners and don’t take the time to delve into the richness of the mediocre characters, which is the area that most of the audience can grasp onto and relate to. 10. also, yamaguchi was really nervous and blushy around yachi until shit hit the fan with tsukki. once he activated Best Friend Savior mode he started talking to yachi without a hitch. thought that was interesting. 11. the episode named Moonrise didn’t even have the song Moonrise in it??? 12. the admiration that Tsukki had for Akiteru really hit me this time. this arc had always been one of my favorites (see: my Tsukki nendo that sits next to my laptop as we speak), but this time watching felt different. tsukki had always been a snarky shit towards other little kids, but never to his brother. it was the depth of his admiration for his brother that caused him to completely shut off his feelings towards volleyball. if his brother’s lying had simply been a nuisance or disappointment, he wouldn’t have resisted changing so harshly. it really shows that his brother’s actions snapped something inside him for a very long time. wouldn’t it have been easier to go with the flow of how hard everyone was working? or be swept up by his feelings of inferiority towards hinata, thus deciding to work harder? i believe his brother was his #1 point of vulnerability throughout the show that provided the foundation for all of his character development. 13. Ukai and Takeda have a very interesting relationship that never piqued my interest until now, it’s definitely professional but there’s something more too, i can see why people ship them. i have a lot more thoughts. but. for next time.

by kiyo_kiyoomi
Three years. Everything that had happened between Kageyama and Hinata had revolved around three years. Three years of middle school. Three years of high school. Then three years of waiting for Hinata Shouyou to be back home in Japan.
But somehow, it seemed that Hinata didn't want Kageyama anymore.
He refused to be home.

Hinata & Kageyama || Now I See Daylight [Haikyuu!! AMV]
Hello lovely people!!!
I CAN'T BELIEVE I FINISHED THIS IN TIME I WANNA CRY!!!
This is my contribution for Day 3 of Kagehina week [https://twitter.com/kagehinaweek] and I know these fests usually revolve around fic and art, but the prompt was music so WHAT BETTER WAY TO FILL IT!!!
Love Roxanne xxx

hey, do u think hq will end soon? or do u think its gonna end after the national, and then maybe they will make a movie like knb, they go against a team from another country. or maybe hinata will meet the little giant?
That’s a good and tough question, my dear anon friend. In my head there are two possible scenarios:
It will end with the end of this year’s nationals (DON’T YOU DARE FURUDATE)
It will end with the last game Hinata and Kageyama will play in their third year of high school
The only thing I hope is that it won’t stop at the end of the nationals. Let’s face it, Haikyuu is a hella big and popular franchise, basically a cash cow, it could literally go on forever if they only want it to. The setup for next year is already done and we’re all here for it.
It’s true that we’re gonna lose some great and very much loved characters like Oikawa, Iwaizumi, Bokuto, Kuroo, Daichi, Suga, Asahi…but remember that “Haikyuu!! is a Japanese shōnen manga series written and illustrated by Haruichi Furudate that revolves around a high school volleyball team and the relationship between players Hinata Shoyou and Kageyama Tobio”. What makes me think that the manga would probably go on is that their relationship has so much more room for development. They’re just laying the foundations for what will happen in their third year of high school, they’re the main protagonists and I think the story would just be beheaded if they’re not gonna show how beautiful the flowers of the kagehina tree are.
As we say in Italy: “As long as there is Kagehina, there is hope”.
And as for the little giant, I have a lot of hc about how he could play a big role in the development of the next gen arc. So yeah, I think Hinata will meet him, but the outcome would probably be very different from what we all expect it to be.
