I'm a disabled millennial cosplayer and photographer based in the New York City tri-state area. A Kiba fangirl and Naruto enthusiast since the 2000s. You can expect to see cosplay, fanfiction, .gifs, and more on this blog. | 18+ MDNI
I'm a Multishipper, so there will be tons of different pairings featured on here! Characters included in my fanfictions are all 20+ years old. Feel free to check out my AO3!
Legit can't remember if I've posted my Naruto cosplays here, but I put Rin together last night to wear to work! Figured I'd put the others in here too.
What do you think of black edits, specifically of anime characters? I dislike them because of how anti-Asian they are, as well as people who do cosplays of anime characters and put the "she's gonna be black today" sound in their videos. It's absolutely gross in my opinion, and people are like "black people exist in Japan" yadayada. Yes. But they are FULL JAPANESE. YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO RESPECT THAT. Why do you need to steal Sailor Moon? Why are you blackfacing MHA characters? Why are you blackfacing Naruto Uzumaki or Hinata Hyuuga? Why are you blackfacing Chihiro from Spirited Away? They are full Japanese, let them be full Japanese. The "black people exist in Japan" is honestly in this context a blatantly anti-Japanese dogwhistle, and I don't know about the cosplays, but despite keeping the names, the black edits completely erase the Japanese side. Stop.
Yes I am aware of several anime characters looking likr blackface but how about you reclaim and edit those characters to be non offensive? Redesign them, sit down with characters like Michiko Malandro, and shut up. Do not take Japanese characters and make them non Japanese. You know who un-Asians Asians from anime? Hollywood. The constant whitewashing of them. Making a POC another POC doesn't make the bending anymore okay. Look at Netflix's Cowboy Bebop, taking Faye Valentine, a Singaporean character, and making her Latina. Most people only talk about her costume being changed and how the actress is a piece of shit who mocked the fans, but not enough people talk about the anti-Singaporean sentiment. The actress may also harbour anti-Singaporean attitudes, as her talking about not matching the original physically is not just her body, it must be her race. When Asians are shown it's usually East Asians, rarely Southeast Asians, especially Singaporeans. If a SEAsian is shown they're usually Filipino or Vietnam (usually related to the Vietnam War), so too few people and even Singaporeans are ignoring it.
you got some good points there
I honestly don't care much for them cause they usually have some shitty views attached to em
My name's Anna and I am 30 years young. My pronouns are She/Her. I am in the Roleplay World for 12 years, but only came to this fandom in 2016 and recently started on here (currently searching for rp partners). I am very shy and quiet (my mbi is INFP), but friendly, so if you bare with me, I tend to open myself more. I also love cosplaying, stargazing and cute/fluffy stuff.
I am an independent and selective Roleplayer and my muse here is Hinata Hyuuga from Naruto series. My writting is semi literate to literate, depending on how the plot goes and the language will be English only (although it’s not my native one, so I appologise for any mistakes). Also, I don't RP smut, but I respect it and I am totally fine with NSFW themed posts. Feel free to check out the RP rules and my muse information for IC interaction. If you have any questions and/or wish to interact OOC, my dms are always open! I may take a while to reply sometimes, but I will do my best to be active as possible.
Also, I have another blog from a different fandom, so if you wish to RP with the muse I have in there, just let me know
