I love how well written and thought out the ipc is in honkai star rail. I feel in general we dont always get the best discussions about capitalism and giant corps because said giant corps are usually sponsoring or are creating them most of the time so there is usually bias. I just saw some of the boothill story lore leaks and im not gonna talk about them here cus leaks but it gave me real big appreciation for how the ipc is handled.

Im personally a real big fan of complicated situations in my fictional stories. Ever since mob psycho ive gained a new lens of trying to find sympathy and reason for any situation, keeping my own opinions and preferences while still understanding the other side. I feel star rail has done a great job at show casing the many sides of the ipc even if i for one really dont like the ipc and its my least favorite organization

(I feel i should also say this is an opinion piece and im not informed enough on the real life issues as i would like to be. I just want to yap my opinion out and express why i find joy in this and maybe even come back later with more research to make another post but with references and proof to explain why besides what i remember and like. If i do get anything wrong then please inform me cus i would like to learn more about this and plan to)

I started out hating them cus i just dont like capitalist corps and they just rubbed me the wrong way. When the arum alley event happen i was originally pissed at it because even though it was confirming my beliefs of “big corp bad” it felt cheap and like almost every other story told by a big corp trying to tell us big corps are bad. Yknow the “look at this obviously in the wrong guy dont be like him, look at him get his comeuppances in the end and ignore how we actually are alot more complicated and worse than this super evil and obvious example”

arum alley then did something i didnt expect. It gave nuance to the story. It started out with that obvious example yes but the next one wasnt that obvious, the next part of the event talked about how some workers feel they wont be able to sustain their lives as independent workers and feel they need to work for the big corps for a safe job and it started getting into the logistics of big corp vs independent business. Yeah we where fighting them but there where reasons and concerns and fears to be given. It wasnt just big corp bad it was “yeah big corp bad but here is why and here is also how its good” and it brings up the questions on what can be done so we dont need to rely on big corp

Topaz and her whole arc is another situation i find interesting. Topaz is a character i dont care to much about to be honest but i think she plays a good role in this whole ipc debacle. To me she feels like she represents someone who used the system because they needed to and made it work and flourished in the system. Her planet was basically unlivable and she lived in a capitalist waste that failed. In comes the ipc and they are almost what her world was but better for they offer to help and save them. All they need to do is sign their lives away to join the ipc and they did and their planet flourished because of it. Topaz herself was able to rise the ranks into being a cornerstone. I think her story shows both the light and dark of the ipc because they saved her planet but they only did it because it benefited them, if they didnt sign their lives away it is very likely topaz and everyone on her planet would have suffocated from the toxins and died. They had no choice but to join the system and its stated in game that topaz’s planet is one of the few that where able to be saved.

That’s probably what i like most about the playable ipc characters, it reminds us that these big corps arent just mustache twirling bad guys, it reminds us there are people there just trying to keep going and some of them are genuinely trying to do right and think what they are doing is right. Again topaz for example, she genuinely believes what she was doing was for the good of belabog. She saw a planet so similar to her own and i think she did what she thought was right and tried to help them (i dont think what she did was right but i can see where she comes from in thinking its right) i also think its showing that when she learned their was a way out for belabog that allowed them to not give their lives away to the ipc she gave in and stopped trying to convince them. She risked her own job security to allow them that right and because she didnt force an entire planet of innocent people who just got out of a horrible situation to sign their souls away (including the children mind you) she got demoted. Im not saying that she deserves a pat on the back for doing the bare minimum esp after she tried killing us, she is a rich, a conerstone, owns an exotic pet that she throws into battle and design her gun after, is a high member of said capitalist big corps, im just saying this is a very nuanced and interesting situation that i like to think about because there are so many thoughts and arguments

The whole belabog vs ipc thing was interesting in general for me because i think it was just such a good concept to bring forth the conversation of the goods and bads of big corps. Technically the ipc does have the right to want their century old debt repaid (ignoring the fact we later learned the robots where never used i think idk the end was confusing ngl) yet also at the same time we as people have a hard time siding with them when belabog didnt even know they where in debt because they where so isolated because of the stellaron and they just got out of the stellaron crisis and are trying to make their world habitable and yknow survive. We cant blame them for being unable to pay a humongous debt when these where the same people who stood in awe as march shower them a photo of their planet that she took while on the express. It creates a situation where yeah technically the giant corp has a right to take that money because its theirs but its still feels so cruel to make them have to cough it up right now with only a few days time. Belabog is basically forced to sign that deal because there is no way they could have payed that off they where doomed the moment topaz set foot on the planet. I remember talking to each of the people in belabog and getting their opinions on the matter and constantly having to rethink my stance because there where so many good points for why they should and so many for why they shouldnt. I can go on and on about this but this bit is already to long.

Aventurine!!! Aventurine aventurine oh where to start. Unlike topaz i actually like aventurine alot he is just such a well written character but we arent here to talk about how amazing him and the games writing is we are here to talk about the capitalist cooperation he is a cog in. Aventurine in a sense has a similar story to topaz but its more cruel and less happy. The ipc didnt save him, the ipc what going to arrest him and its thanks to his luck and a deal with the devil (or in this case a bet with a snake) that he was able to become aventurine.

I havent seen the writen stuff for him in his characters story because i dont have him but i will say from what i saw during the main story, something i question alot is what the ipc did during the avgin genocide. This might be a small tangent but the avgins said they had the support of the ipc. What happened that caused for the entire avgin civilization to be wiped out when they had the help of people with better weapons and armor and equipment. Apart of me is nihilistic enough to think the ipc didnt really care for saving the avgins and might have used the katakans attack as a way to know out the two groups that where causing them the most trouble but at the moment i dont know if theres anything supporting this theory so its just a crack theory

Aventurines spot in penacony is again interesting. Penacony is a prison planet of the ipc, that was taken over and turned into a party paradise thanks to the hamrony, family, and a stellaron. Aventurines goal was supposed to be to put penacony back in the ipcs control and to be honest i cant tell if thats his plan or not because of how crazy and confusing the story was (i loved it) but that being said it is another example how how grey ipc is. It isnt just a big bad corp there are people with lives and in avens case, people trying to gain their freedom with any risks necessary. I also think again the ipcs role in penacony is like belabog, very interesting, just for different reasons.

Penacony is based off America and in this case im assuming the ipc is their Britain. I feel like if you ask most people they would say that the ipc is the only group in penacony they hope fails (minus aventurine again i feel everyone wants aven to succeed even if we want ipc to fall) but i think the family being as grey as they are (basically a cult and also a representation of newer day amarica and its “its us or them” mentality in a way. I can make another yap ses about that lmao) adds an air of mystery and confusion on who we want to succeed since they are on two very different sides of the board so if one wins the other loses. It makes it feel like a fight of two big corps against each other and not really knowing who to support. Do you want to support the capitalist or the cult, pick your poison. We need the rest of penacony for me to go more in-depth on my opinion of ipc here and to rant but i can say its already making me question and argue both sides with what we have seen so far

That was fun for me. I havent ranted on tumblr in a long long time but hsr has been my recent hyperfixation and again boothill makes me crazy. While writing this is made me start to think about how much i wanted to talk about the hidden story of immigration i feel penacony is aso trying to tell. I think penacony is handling so many deep and interesting topics and im very excited for the next update. This has made me hyped to talk about the immigration stuff but i want to do reaserch and gain a proper strong stance besides “thats just my opinion.” I think this is an interesting topic and yapping about it made me want to do more reaserch on the topics of capitalism and big corps cus i hate them but i also think its important to know about it and understand there is more to the issue than just stingy old white rich people. MHA chapter 415 leaks

A lot of the problems I have with this chapter are already ones that I talked about in previous chapter posts which can be found here 👇

However I still wanna talk about things that I don't like in this chapter.

1) the memory sharing thing and how random it is. I stand by the point that this plot point came out of nowhere, is a speedy and cheap way to try and build up what little development izuku and shigarakis dynamic lacks. The memories that are being shared also seem very inconsistent like why did one memory trigger another? It makes no sense why Izuku's fight with todoroki would ultimately trigger the usj and why the fight itself would be triggered by a convo that stain and shigaraki have. In my opinion, this is also a very good way for hori to just show off how he has improved his own art and be like "oh look at how good my art is now" which kinda sucks because we don't get any story but just some cool looking manga chapters

2) power of rejection?!?! Seems like a fancy plot armour for izuku not to lose all of his quirks to me🤷‍♀️. The power of rejection just sounds like such a cliche way to be like oh izuku won't lose his quirk to plot armour because he physically cannot lose his quirks since shigaraki is rejecting them. Like seriously what is it with Izuku not being able to keep his powers and we are just having him HAVE TO PASS DOWN HIS QUIRK FOR NO REASON?!?!?! you already passed down the quirk that caused the most distress aka kudos so won't izuku suffer even more if he passed down blackwhip which is the quirk that is keeping him both alive and is giving him the ability to move like why would izuku the and transfer that?!?! Seems stupid to me 😭 and low-key further reinforces the idea that the power of rejection is (A) there a plot point introduced to make it so that izuku doesn't lose his quirks and (B) so horikoshi can still create intense looking manga pages that he won't be able to create if izuku can't use his quirks anymore.

3) The unnerving focus on the police officer who took Tenko home. This manga page low-key confirmed the one theory that was like the police officer is afo and that AFO gave tomura his quirk which if it is true just doesn't line up or make sense when it comes to canon. I see how this theory can help develop both the parallels further in fanon but in canon it just damages tomura's character and its like an excuse that we should pity shigaraki even more because this police guy who was supposed to help him was a villain who gave him a destructive quirk and made him go insane /cause his families deaths. This also takes away from the half baked plot point that the gene for quirks actually heavily influence behaviour but if this theory is true then shigaraki just wants destruction because he wants destruction 🤷‍♀️ nothing more and nothing less.

4) Eri becoming relevant to the plot now? I have already said this and I will say it again Eri's quirk is too narrative breaking and too powerful. You literally cannot have the plot go on since we discovered that Eri can legit just rewind people to a time they were at their prime like she did with mirio. This brings up the question as to why she didn't do this with aizawa or all might and therefore her quirk could be used to make the series and characters have no long lasting concequences. Also how are the heroes so irresponsible thaT THEY COULD LET A CHILD SIMPLY RUN INTO A DANGEROUS AND TERRIFYING BATTLE FIELD LIKE WHATS WRONG WITH YOU ECTOPLASM DO SOMETHING YOURE SUPPOSED TO PROTECT THE CHILD ARENT YOU?!?!?!!? also this is such a shame Eri could of actually been a very good character who symbolised the traumatic events that victims of hero society faced and how young children could be kidnapped and exploited for powerful quirks however instead of getting anything like that we just get Eri BECOMING A TOOL FOR THE HEROES WHICH IS SOMETHING THAT SHE WAS Traumatised TO DO DUE TO OVERHAUL MAKING HER A TOOL FOR HIM AND NOTHING ELSE?!?!? talk about double standards. This is also making the Eri will rewind shigaraki into Tenko theory much more plausible and I hate that theory for so many reasons. However, it's either this or the theory that she will have to separate Izuku and shigaraki BECAUSE FOR SOME forsaken REASON THOSE TWO ARE SOMEHOW MERGING AND BECOMING THE SAME PERSON LIKE THAT MAKES ANY SENSE

5) where did the damage that kudos quirk was supposed to do to shigaraki go? Is it me but I seriously don't see shigaraki getting any damaged or recoil from kudos quirk like I could see some of it from the last chapter where shigaraki was somewhat struggling but that's it nothing else. Shigaraki can now fight perfectly fine and isn't getting the recoil hit if a nuke something that izuku was suffering with the majority of the fight which just seems unfair at this point like?!?! Its also another example of how hori fails at show don't tell

Seriously I still don't like the leaks but at least we got my girl hatsume and la brava that's the only good thing I can think about when it comes to these leaks.

Ah these characters... I remember seeing them so much on my tiktok that it only serves to make the canon versions of them more pathetic. So let's go over each of them shall we?

Amajiki: Let's start with the shy boi first. Honestly, he's a big fat mood for us introverts... but that doesn't mean I can't talk about THAT scene!

I don't really have a lot to say about him compared to the other two since I think his character is fine enough, but what I WILL say is that he's done so dirty when it came to Bakugou blowing him up.

Yeah. That fucking happens.

That is something Hori wrote and drew because he probably thought it would be funny.

Amajiki was rightfully scared to death of him and tried to get away, but Bakugou caught him and literally blows him up because he refused to fight him.

And again, this is all played for laughs and no one gets on to Bakugou for going overboard... not even Kirishima who should've been angry at him for hurting someone he's been getting close to!

Wow! Glad to see people have their priorities straight here! And other than the occasional comment that gets what's wrong here, This once again shows how desensitized the fandom has become to Bakugou's behavior to where they think this is funny and nothing to be concerned about.

Because if Bakugou was THIS harsh during practice, imagine how it would go against an actual villain wanting to surrender.

Nejire: Oh Nejire, my sweet girl... Out of the trio here, Hori has done you the dirtiest.

Much like his other female characters in his story, you're only made to be fanservice and to just stand around and look pretty for boys to fawn over. To where your only shining moment was in a fucking beauty pageant, and not to mention Hori not even giving you a hero name while the other two get them.

You deserve so much better and to be just as well written as them.

Mirio: Honestly I don't have a lot of strong feelings for him since he's pretty simple.

He's meant to be who All Might could've chosen as a successor, but shows he doesn't need OFA to be a better hero as he strives to do it on his own.

But what gets me about him the most is that he never found out about Nighteye trying to groom him into being All Might 2.0 and his plan to get Izuku to give up OFA... and is now left to think of him fondly.

These three deserve so much more than what canon has given them, and with how much Hori screwed them over... it's better to just read fanfiction that expands on their characters.

Gale's Countdown: Best to Worst, Ramona's Evil Exes (Scott Pilgrim)

The Rules:

I will be covering ALL mediums Comic, movie, video game and even Show

When I say Best, I mean in which their actions are the least Egregious, they are entertaining, and they are more palatable, The lower on the list the worse they are

I must view them by their most detestable actions, as determined by either medium

This is a subjective list based on my opinion, so feel free to put your thoughts and opinions on the list.

Spoilers for the Comic, the Show, the Movie and the Video game

The Best Ex: Roxie Richter

Roxie is probably the Evil Ex that is probably on the best terms with Ramona in all iteration (save the movie). Roxie was seen occasionally hanging out with Ramona in the comic, and while the Half Ninja did try to kill Ramona and Scott, its clear her reasons for being an Evil Ex are pretty justified. Ramona's dismissive nature of their relationship as a "Phase" and her leaving without a word was pretty damn heartbreaking.

And while she claims to be the most Emotionally intelligent, she has just as much trouble explaining her feelings as the other Exes do. But In Scott Pilgrim takes off we see her at her core and she just needed some damn closure. Which compared to the rest of the people on the list, she is the most justified.

The Second Best Ex: Mathew Patel

Okay so for a guy that only dated Ramona briefly in middle school and being a super petty Theater nerd... he isnt actually that Evil.

Yea he tries to play up his evil side, but he is actually a really polite dude. He sent Scott a warning about how the Evil Exes were going to attack him, and even took time to ensure Scott understood what was going on instead of just attacking him.

Sure in the Comic, Game and Movie we dont get much of his character, but in the Anime. We find out how after he won, he realized that the League was stupid and decided to Challenge Gideon after realizing this whole thing wouldnt actually win Ramona over. He eventually moves on with his life not even pursuing Ramona further, he rightfully Blames Gideon for his stupid assumptions and even BEATS GIDEON. Now Mathew is still a selfish jerk, but he is oddly not hostile towards Ramona and simply moves on with his life after this. Guess he just needed some self confidence to know his own worth was more than just the first guy to get defeated.

The Third best Ex: Lucas Lee

Bad boy skateboarder/ Action star. Lucas Lee.

In the Anime he is just kind of a Himbo that seems more angry with Todd than Ramona over how the relationship ended. In the movie and Comic he is not really caring much about the League and just decided to fight because why not. The comic has him at his worst which he simply says if Scott pays him 50 bucks he will simply leave him alone.

In this context he really hasnt done anything to Ramona and actually in the movie version asks how shes been casually. Regardless of the version Lucas never seemed to have any real negative views on Ramona. And He is arguably interchangable with Mathew, I do Put him lower because Lucas never called out how dumb the League actually was unlike Patel.

The Fourth Best/Fourth Worst Ex: Kyle & Ken Katayanag

I put them to share these rankings because they are interchangeable. No matter the story they both are always grouped together. The worst thing they did was Kidnap Kim and send robots to Attack Scott, but regardless of the version they arent outright hostile to Ramona but do blame the cheating fiasco on her. They are usually pretty chill outside of that and thats honestly the worst they get, they are just only sort of Asses but that is about it. They have a cool Robot though.

The Third Worst Ex: Todd Ingram

Ah Yes, the first Big Ex of Ramona's. They Dated throughout Highschool and then broke off when he left for Vegan School. He is probably the most Vanilla Scumbag, but he is actually even worse because he is Vegan and believes he is better than everyone else. And the Psychic powers that come with being Vegan... well He might have a point. But he is constantly cheating on his Girlfriend. And in the Show he ends up cheating and catches feelings for Wallace (who I am CONVINCED has a +7 Charisma boost) or Magic balls.

Anyway, regardless of iteration he is a serial cheater whether its in love, in a fight, or even on his Vegan Diet. He is also willing to punch girls for no reason other than they are annoying him. He punched the highlights out of Knives hair in most iterations, its f***ed up.

The Second Worst Ex: Scott Pilgrim (Specifically Even Older Scott)

Ramona once said that Scott was an evil ex just waiting to happen. but in the anime we actually get to see what that would be like. Take all of Scotts worst qualities, He dated a high schooler (no he didnt do anything but STILL), he cheated on girls, he would hide things from people, he wouldnt take responsibility for his own faults. And now have it where he is able to beat the Exes and get Ramona WITHOUT all of the emotional growth that let him realize he was an absolute Scumbag and needed to change.

In this timeline, Scott ended up separating from Ramona after a Rough patch, which lead to him trying to stop himself from ever dating Ramona by pulling him out of time to convince himself, but when that failed he trained for 10 YEARS gained the powers and Skills of ALL the Evil Exes then decided to fight EVERYONE in order to stop Scott From dating Ramona. Its arguable that he is probably the worst because he was more than willing to wipe out his own friend if needed just to achieve his goal. Showing how Tunnel vision Scott can be. In a way, Even Older Scott is Nega Scott fully realized. And is Ramona's most Dangerous Ex

The Worst Ex Gideon Gordon Graves

If anyone has read the Comic, Gideon is by far the Worst of the Evil Exes. Sure Scott of that other timeline maybe the most powerful, this Emotionally abusive prick is far and away the worst.

He created Emotional warfare to manipulate people, including Ramona. Messed with peoples memories, Was Physically and Emotionally abusive, His grand master plan was to gain complete control of the Glow, brain wash people, have Ramona get frozen and become one of his frozen Exes that he pulls out of stasis to Date whenever he gets board, (basically a sex slave)

The Anime REALLY cuts a lot of this out and makes him much less then he is, and the movie only has a control collar on Ramona where he is still an asshole control freak.

But the Comic REALLY goes out of the way where he is like Scott but at his ABSOLUTE WORST in every category.

Power maybe debated but when it comes to EVIL ex. there is no topping Gideon

It has come to my attention, by my own means, that the writers of 2012 must’ve been idiots, or didn't do a lot of research. And i’ve been hyper fixating on alligators recently (Again, for the 50th time this month- The grind dont stop lmao)

SO, Let's talk about what all the creators got wrong about leatherhead in his design and behavior!!

Buckle in boys, this is a long read

Starting off, The design: 

In this image, you can see quite a lot of leatherheads design, the sharp, more V shaped snout, webbed feet and hands, green mottled skin with a cream underbelly, and his famous white ‘rage’ eyes. It’s an.. ok design to me. But I can address opinions later, right now we stick to the facts.

Leatherhead is stated to be canonicaly an Alligator in the wiki, and is called an Alligator by Mikey (quote: “He’s a giant, kraang crushing mutant Alligator monster!”). So, we’d assume that the writers based his design off of an American Alligator for the show, yes? 

That's where we’re wrong. Leatherhead, in his design and behavior alone, shows a mix of Alligator traits and looks, as well as Crocodile traits and looks. Now don't get me wrong, Alligators and Crocodiles do look similar. Key word, similar. There’s a large handful of ways to differentiate the two species’ though (With both appearance and behavior). These differences will be listed below.

ONE: Alligators have a more U shaped snout, with a smaller bottom jaw. Their teeth tend to stick out more due to this, while Crocodiles have a more V shaped snout. Their jaws are even sized, allowing the teeth to interlock and become less visible.

TWO: Alligators have webbed feet and hands, while Crocodiles do not.

THREE: Alligators tend to be darker colored (Grey and black) With a more cream colored underside, while Crocodiles have more Green, mottled skin all around.

FOUR: Alligators tend to only really be aggressive when threatened or during their mating season (Spring-summer), While Crocodiles are much, MUCH more aggressive year-round.

FIVE: Alligators grow to be smaller than Crocodiles, Reaching a minimum 8 ft in length in adulthood, while Crocodiles grow to a minimum 11-12 feet in adulthood, and Crocodiles never stop growing.

SIX: Alligators are faster in and out of water than Crocodiles are.

SEVEN: Alligators tend to be more pasive when not threatened, and arent social animals, unlike Crocodiles who are more aggressive, and more social.

These are the main ways to tell Alligators and Crocodiles apart, though you don't have to go through the criteria like a checklist. Looking at the snout shape is usually enough to tell. I listed these all to say.. Leatherhead is like a frankenstein mix of Crocodiles and Alligators. He has the snout of a Crocodile, his jaws are even, but his teeth stick out like an Alligators. He has webbed feet like an Alligators, yet he can be quite slow on land and water like a Crocodile. He has a mix of their color schemes (Green and mottled, cream underside). It’s almost as if The writers just took whatevers coolest from both animals and smashed them together. Which feels.. Kinda insulting? That may be my ‘Tisim speaking, but A little extra research would have yielded us a much more accurate Leatherhead.

But speaking of accuracies, let's talk about how INACCURATE leatherhead is all around.

First, his arms. I don't know what I specifically have against his arms (And his legs, let's be honest), But they feel so.. wrong. It makes him look malnourished, being so beefy everywhere else and then having relative sticks for upper arms and thighs. Alligators are chonky, and so are Crocodiles. If the writers wanted to make leatherhead look like he’s starving, or emaciated, they shouldn't have added such big biceps and large forearms and legs.

His midsection gets this kind of treatment too, when that should be the biggest part of him!!

Then, we have how he fights and attacks. I am more willing to be lenient on these inaccuracies, since leatherhead is a MUTANT, and has at least a little human thought in him. But, continuing on, Alligators and Crocodiles are ambush predators, they hide in the water and strike when prey is unsuspecting. This would, in theory, peg leatherhead as more of a stealth fighter. Striking once with deadly accuracy and power. But the show paints him as a rough barbarian type brawler. He’s loud (He roars. I don't even need to discuss that sin further.), he’s slow, and a heavy hitter.

...Which is completely misused. The death roll is a tactic used by Alligators and Crocodiles to rip flesh from their prey. Leatherhead in the show uses it only once (I believe) To go after raph and attack him while ‘feral’*.

*SIDE NOTE: I will be using the term feral whenever leatherhead has an episode where he turns violent and his eyes glaze over white.

Now let's also talk about how leatherhead sounds! This is one of the parts I like about his 2012 design. He hisses, which is a warning/aggressive sign in Alligators and Crocodiles, a way of saying “Back up before I bite you.”

But aside from that, it's kind of lackluster. I already mentioned the roaring... god the roaring- it is not physically possible for Alligators and Crocodiles to roar. They don't have the vocal muscles for it. Instead, they bellow. I’d look it up on youtube, it's an amazing sound! Now bellowing can also be used like hissing, as a warning, or to attract a mate. It goes both ways. But sadly I don't think we ever hear leatherhead bellow. We’ll hear him grumble, but not bellow.

All of this kinda ties into a mish mash Hollywood monster that is leatherhead. And, while I still love him, I will be FOREVER angry that the writers and design crew didn't do more research and make him look more accurate.

But that isn't the worst part. They don't just make him look goofy, they underpower him!! time and time again we see leatherhead thrown around by opponents smaller than him (Splinter, Shredder). When this shouldn't be the case. Alligators and Crocodiles can be lightning fast, whipping around and striking quickly with enough energy. And they aren't easily thrown, even if their opponent knows how to shift one's weight to their advantage. 

And speaking of the shredder, LEATHERHEAD SHOULD HAVE KILLED HIM. Alligators have a bite force of 2000 POUNDS PER SQUARE INCH. That's over triple the bite force of a lion! But in the show, it looks like leatherhead just gums Shredder a few times! that man should be ripped in half! And originally, I thought it may be because of the shredder's armor. NO. Alligators and Crocodiles can bite through steel BARS. They can survive small caliber bullets! So leatherhead shouldn't struggle to bite a human man in half!!!

Now, looking at splinters fight, the two are slightly more evenly matched. If it weren't for the fact that splinter can THROW leatherhead across a room!! That should NOT. BE. POSSIBLE. Alligators can reach up to 1000 pounds in weight as full grown adults, and leatherhead should weigh MUCH more than that after being mutated! these two fights should have been easy wins for Leatherhead! But I suppose that's just more evidence that tmnt 2012 wasn't written too well, and their characters were... not that good. I love the show, i love LEATHERHEAD. But god the inaccuracies and the bad writing and the bad fights just... Ugh, it's tiring. To me it is at least, but i'm just a kid hyper fixated on cartoon ninja mutants and Alligators lmao.

They r supposed to focus on their individuality in this chapter, and to do so, we dont get to see them together anymore. If we dont see them talking to eo in their PROFESSIONAL socmed acc, this means what exactly? U dont know, i dont know, only them know. And there is a reason for this. Also, while they made it seem like she saved Izuku on her own, Bakugou, who has half of the vigilante/class 1a vs Deku arc, had only 1 to 2 STILL shots, that was all. And of course, even if they made an intro starring IzuOcha, they won't be able to change the anime, unless they want to get bullied by the whole MHA community, but then, why lie to the people?

Ochako won't have any big scenes until the school ones, so, if this is Izuku's vigilante and Bakugou's redemption arc, why not have at least a few scenes similar to the manga?

Also, another thing, they didn't just swap Iida with Ochako, the also swapped Bakugou. In the manga, Bakugou finds Izuku, they have their little chat and then the fight and all that, but in the intro, the one who finds Izuku, is, again, Ochako.

I loved everything about the intro : the song, the animation, the colors, the setup with all the ruins and stuff, but when that part came it just threw me off.

Idk, again, it's not like they're going to change the arc and become like tpn s2, but still, I find it a bit shitty that they got IzuOchas hope up just to crush them later on, like it's not cool, even if some of them are shitty people, it's still kinda mean.

i know ive said it before a few months ago but even though i dont go there i feel like people are pretty meanspirited towards genshin fans. obviously one of the biggest games around is gonna attract people who are new to geek ish shit like video games and anime. which means its likely their opinions are likely to be unseasoned. i think theres an entire world that exists for teenagers and normies with smartphones that we arent seeing, maybe its a generational gap idk

like the people who are super into webtoons and genshin and god knows what else, younger people and normies, lack the etiquette that was basically beaten into our brains through years of frequenting forums and microblogging social sites (livejournal, tumblr) (this is a lie because most people lack etiquette to begin with) so they act unbecoming, get into fights, make claims about skinny twinks being daddy or whatever. mostly cuz they know nothing else. is it annoying? yeah, but it feels meanspirited to write all of them off, and all of genshin off. i dont play it, i tried it close to launch and found myself completely disinterested so after not even completing the tutorial i ended up dropping it, but i have a lot of friends who are normal and find themselves enjoying it unironically and theyre surprised that they do due to the overly exaggerated reputation it has. im just speaking in general, of course they have the same issues a lot of people have with genshin, in fact i think most people who Actually Play Games would...

in general i dont get the catastrophization of genshin. i feel like so many people attribute things to it that dont make sense, like how suddenly all anime character design, especially fantasy, has gotten worse. my own feelings on the designs is pretty neutral. but at the same time its like, a fucking anime game, idk, i dont have feelings on it to begin with because it just looks like most other anime games but hoyoverse flare is hoyoverse flare.

to begin with i don't think hoyoverse is to blame for fantasy designs sucking. i think that is completely dishonest to suggest. as a fantasy fan, i think that its an issue of decay and lack of interest in the genre. i wrote about my feelings in isekai before (hint: mostly positive) but its a fact that most people have no interest in fantasy anymore. its seeing a slight genuine revival recently, but i feel like most of people's exposure is from isekai that take a very minimalist and "modern" sensibility to the designs so as not to be cringe and over the top. here is a google search i did in november 2022 with the search term "anime elf"

i mostly use this cap to show that 1) this is an issue ive been concerned about consistently and 2) if you search "anime" anything these days you get a lot of ai art and that is just noise to me in this context. by the way, in nov 2022 if you searched "90s anime elf", the results are entirely deedlit lol. she's very pretty, and every anime aesthetic page on social media is eager to reshare her and erroneously go "80s anime is the best 😍😍😍" you know, the ova series and tv anime that came out in 1990 and 1998 respectively. its just a complete and utter lack of disinterest in the fantasy genre all around that leads to fantasy anime being swallowed up into nothingness and not being present in any zeitgeist. even tales of, a series that seemed inseperable from the conventions of the genre, has forsaken it. the super tropey anime fantasy jrpg doesn't exist anymore. even fire emblem keeps hiring artists that have no business designing characters in a medieval setting (kozaki, kurahana, pikazo). granblue FANTASY has entirely shed its final fantasy tactics inspo aesthetic and is increasingly releasing more characters distant from those sensibilities.

anyway, my point is that for over a decade now fantasy as us nerdy 20 somethings grew up with has been considered owakon and blasé. nu anime fantasy is either informed by wanting to smooth out the fantasy element as much as possible (see: rezero's character design sense. i have no comment on the story itself) or inspiration from anime MMOs that usually had more simple armor and clothing designs for most players who didn't pay up. its a whole issue from top to bottom, and frankly genshin has nothing to do with it. there are modern series clearly made by people who love the fantasy we grew up with. even those that have a different world view, like tensura, lampshades the protagonist's view of fantasy to the world he actually ended up in.

if anything genshin at least feels like its calling to SOMETHING. im not sure what, to be honest i dont really get the design thoroughline of it, and a lot of the designs are overdesigned, but i think some designs do feel reminiscent of a more familiar fantasy aesthetic (venti comes to mind).

of course its true that a lot of young artists take inspiration from genshin, you know, its one of the most popular games in the world, its like mind boggling hearing how big its install base is, but also i keep hearing that it had some kind of ripple effect on all character design in every game and anime ever. can anyone actually show me like even 3 examples of this? like, be honest with me. is that not peak catastrophizing? game has barely been out for 3 years, its not really enough for its ripple effect to suddenly change the world.

what you are complaining about is an issue that has been an issue since the 2010s. maybe you are only noticing it now that you have a new mediore hatesink to invest in. anyway yes this mediocre and halfhearted defense of genshin's fans was an excuse for me to rant about fantasy as a genre being on its death throes and how people are misattributing the tragedy to rant about some mediocre anime gacha game. i hope the recent popularity of series like dungeon meshi and frieren (i mention them bc theyre currently airing right now) makes people remember that fantasy can be good and pure soul. i hope we get a real tales of game soon also.

i have to admit i find it so fucking annoying when people are so like "oh fuck valor hate valor he ruined it all" etc etc like have you maybe tried shutting up??? i will agree that yea, Rozzs music is 1000% better, personally i care more abt whatever Rozz did than whatever valor does, but for the love of God shut up about it. The only person i will actually hear out about how much valor sucks is Rozz himself (check out for example this and this interview for that), cause omfg whatever else you hear is so dumb.

what happened was Rozz became uninterested in Christian Death, so he left with the agreement that they should change the name and maybe also stop preforming Rozzs songs. Now, as we can all kinda sorta tell, that didnt happen. and i DO AGREE that that was an ass move, especially considering they had AGREED that this wouldnt happen beforehand, but you also have to consider the fact that valor and the gang would have a very hard time getting shows and such if they didnt use the name or sing the songs. And Rozz was uninterested, he himself was trying to stop being super connected to Christian Death (you can read that in multiple interviews), so i dont find it hard to believe that valor would look at this and decide "well i guess its fine". will remind you here, STILL VERY VERY VERY MUCH AN ASS MOVE, but you can see the logic behind it.

Now, what most fans go around saying is just "oh my God i wish valor was dead instead" "valor should kill himself" "valor sucks hes disgusting and gross and how dare he" with no sort of actual valid argument. its all just pure bland hatred from people who barely know shit and who are so far up their own ass they cant even admit some of his music is good. he is their Satan, their number one enemy, and theyre fighting this on behalf of a guy who theyve never met and also generally know jack shit about.

What i enjoy in the parts of this that can be considered fandom, or i guess bandom, are the long intricate chats about the past, the talks about what used to be, the history, the archives, etc. long discussions with multiple sides where we can talk about our opinions without feeling a need to pick sides. this is real shit that happened to real people, there is no right or wrong, no evil or good, and alot of people would rather live in a fairytale like that than to actually discuss this. having discussions about old music, new music, etc its what makes it exciting and fun. if youre limiting yourself to "all valor fronted christian death / all Sin and Sacrifice music sucks " and "all Rozz fronted christian death is amazing" youre losing alot of nuance and honestly great music, which sucks. Again, i prefer Rozzs stuff, he is very much a guy you can rely on when it comes to good music, but that doesnt mean i cant admit to "The Wind Kissed Pictures" or "Atrocities" or "Pornographic Messiah" being absolute bangers.

You're limiting yourself with hatred based on nothing and it's a shame. Be open to music, to discussions that arent clearly split into sides, and enjoy the media we have. if you're unable to discuss the past and present you lose alot of the stuff that happened, which is a shame.

The nitty gritty is watering down katara's character so she's just a meek girl ? Your lying If you really think that's the same character. The producers said they would take an axe to the main characters and that's where the show really suffers...also nothing is perfect people like you is why we get stuck with mediocrity

?? I finished episode 5 but what😭 how is katara just a meek girl, i feel like yes she has a little less rage but other than that she shows that shes smart and powerful and her own person? Explain what is watered down i feel like animation usually over-exaggerates facial expressions and voices for the most part, so i’m not surprised that katara has more subtle strength so far, and also the actress has a very kind face, but i think shes still able to show some of that anger. (I havent watched the water master fight yet so maybe thats where you’re talking about, so i cant speak on that)

Idk what taking an axe to the main characters means (like really cutting them apart? Cuz i doubt they would promote a show by saying its gonna be bad but who knows). But i feel like the characters are all pretty accurate with how they carry themselves, of course they’re younger so acting wont be perfect but i think the imperfections are what brings them to life. I know a lot of people hate the writing, i feel like it’s quite similar to the show? (Though its been maybe 3-4 years since i last rewatched it) and some lines especially from something previously animated are gonna sound awkward in real life, which is why generally i believe live actions arent necessary for any animation, though in this case i’m really enjoying just rewatching atla and my childhood be brought to life.

Nothing is perfect: ok i was using perfect mostly because i was very excited about it, of course i know theres things that could be changed to improve it but a lot of those things are impossible (like you cant get an actress thats EXACTLY katara and will make everyone happy, because shes a drawing) but overall, i think the landscapes come close to perfect (i’m just really into fantasy scenes and i think it’s so beautiful and impressive to see things like the omashu supply rail and the air temple come to life. And zuko’s boat looks so awesome and so accurate too.) And i thought the cgi looked slightly silly at first (especially air) but then i realized that we were always seeing drawings of aangs air in the animation which would look even stupider irl so i made my peace pretty quickly.

People like me is why we get stuck with mediocrity… hm. I feel like my opinion probably has nothing to do with what comes out on tv, especially because in this society haters have the real power, and you guys tearing it down are more likely to get it cancelled. I don’t think any production team takes an animated film or show and thinks ‘yea im gonna make this absolutely awful,’ (though i’m really not sure what they were thinking when making the pjo movie, its good as a standalone but they went so off course from the plot…) of course they’re all just trying to fit what they think into the show and express their own opinions, which are ultimately going to be a lot different than some people watching it.

Overall, ok i haven’t watched the og in years, so my memory on comparing each episode of the show to the live action is not going to be at the level of others (which i think boosts the enjoyability 100x over). But as i watch it, i remember tons of parts of the animation, and it makes me super happy that it has the same air as the show, albeit slightly more serious because they can’t fit all the funny filler episodes (if they ever created a live action lost appa episode i would lose it that cannot happen).

Maybe i sounded rude in my original post (i changed it quickly bc it was very angry at first lol) so sorry i know you’re all entitled to your opinion, it’s just i was SO EXCITED and then checked the tag on tumblr only to see that everyone hated it… i always feel inferior to people who really like films etc because i tend to enjoy things that other people hate, (like i really enjoyed the avatar way of water movie even if it was super long, and i know people DESPISED it). 4. the deathlings' fight for freedom and it's role in the story

tbh I also didnt think to wonder about whether they won or not. maybe bc from wilbur point of view the goal was standing up against his past/letting go of the pythia and getting out of there with tommy and alive

all in all their situation is so interesting and kinda weird? bc like wilbur is going thru his own thing, being kidnapped but at the same time the temple becoming his escape from his abusive life in the palace and the fight against schlatt and his court was his chance for actual freedom and closure

but the deathlings have been "fighting" against schlatt for years, probably even longer than they have been alive there were deathlings before them hoping to be free and its clear most of them never thought it would happen during their lifetime so while they were technically trying to win they were mostly just surviving in the temple (and while from wilburs pov they were living a nice community life together they had to get in danger to steal food and couldnt really leave so was it really living) and even kidnapping the pythia was a spontaneous shot in the dark and now its worked out and they arent illegal anymore and they can theoretically live a normal life and like some of them have probably never had that before, I mean tommy, tubbo, aimsey, ranboo theyre all so young they mustve joined as kids

but at the same time we dont know how its going to work out in reality, the laws and the publics opinion arent one and the same and they have been painted out as terrorists for so long and like look at erets kingdom its not illegal there but still a taboo and there are just so many questions about what will come and how its gonna go, but that doesnt mean the win isnt a win

I actually really like this uncertainty, but also its not like you were left hanging at the end of the fic, we never even knew the beginning or most of the deathlings' story in general, we just get a glimpse at it while wilbur stays with them

yeah that's the thing, I didn't want the deathlings whole fight to be the focus because that wasn't wilbur's focus. wilbur's story was about finding his own sense of self and putting the pieces of his identity back together. the deathlings goals aligned with his and of course he wants them to have their freedom, but he's got other things on his mind.

(also this isn't related to glass really but since you grouped aimsey in with the 'kids' I do just wanna point out that even though I don't always match cc ages to character ages, cc!aimsey is only a month younger than cc!niki so in glass I kind of imagined a similar thing, with glass!aimsey being around 20-21. still definitely young, but a bit older than tommy, tubbo, and ranboo)

anyway yeah the thing is we're not going to know how it all shakes out. the fear and prejudice against death worship has gone on for a century if not longer, it's not something that's going to disappear overnight. but the important thing is it won't be outright illegal. the deathlings won't be hunted down (presuming they don't commit anymore acts of mass terrorism).

i'm glad you like these aspects of ambiguity! I really like leaving certain things vague at the end of my fics because I feel like it's a bit boring to just give all the answers. I like leaving things up to reader's imagination and glass is no exception. and like you said, it was never wilbur's main focus. he had his own story separate from the deathlings, there just happened to be some overlap for a short while.

Something really hilarious to me is on jungkooks graduation, jimin posts a vid on twitter saying congratulation to jk. Taekook trends that day on twitter because of the super sus sound in the background. Back then, i really didnt even know why people were so angry? at this video because i was a casual fan. People were fighting tkkrs saying it wasnt a kiss, it was just a seatbelt sound but no one in the video even had a seatbelt on????? If you look at the bangtan bomb of that day, none of them had any seatbelt sounds, so ?? No ones saying they kissed on the mouth, they couldve kissed on the cheek? Nothing too weird about kissing on the cheek to me? But these people were making up the most illogical shit just to say… what? That taekook arent close? The thing about taekook to me is that i was willing to think all their antics are just extremely close and friendly until you see how much taekook are held back on camera, we’ve seen all the members give each other kisses on the check because cameras are ALL up on it, ALL FOR IT, but for taekook? Its crickets. As soon as the cameramen catch wind of them 2 cm near each other, they yeet the camera hell away like they’ve been burned. Its not even one time or 2 or 3, its literally been innumerable times that i cant say is a coincidence anymore. Whats even funnier to me is that in that same year, we have taes vlive in chile i think where you hear the same exact sounds, and once again people say hes just talking to himself —and hey! It could be possible, but you can literally hear another voice— and the supposed kissing sound this time is just him slurping ramen or the supposed ghost in the background slurping ramen. If you’re doing acrobatics to get your lousy point across, at least get your story straight. FYI, im talking about everyone in this fandom, mostly twitter armys. I completely agree, about all of this, including the part about twitter.  I go on there for photos and cute edits and stuff, but not for discourse, it’s just such a mess.

You’ve brought up something that’s been on my mind a lot lately, which is the way that people -- anyone who doesn’t believe Taekook could be dating -- lump all Taekookers together as a way to, often hypocritically imo, dismiss the whole possibility.

Obviously there are plenty of people out there who believe Taekook are dating but who have some really wild reasons for thinking so, reasons that aren’t based in much that’s real.  There are people who act in pretty unhinged ways, some of which are really not okay in my opinion (like harassing people or being hateful toward other members).  Those people exist, and I’m sure that in comparison to other shippers, more of them are Taekookers because there are more Taekookers in general.

But I feel like a lot of people use that unhinged behavior of a relative few in order to justify completely dismissing everyone, and the entire possibility that Taekook could potentially be a reality, while doing the exact things that they accuse us of doing.  Even people who will freely and happily admit that not all Taekookers are toxic will still readily spout the idea that all of our theories are based on twisted/edited content and wishful thinking.

We’re pretty much constantly accused of, or at the very least assumed to be, twisting what we see to fit a predetermined narrative.  I’ve never seen anyone outside of a TK space talk about Taekookers in any other way, even the people who are relatively nice about us overall.

Other than it being frustrating to be dismissed like that, I find it fascinating because a lot of these people (if not all of them, honestly) do the exact things they accuse us of doing.  Aren’t they cherry-picking evidence to suit their own biased thinking?  Aren’t they deciding to believe narratives that suit them and their preferred perception, rather than considering all of the potential possibilities?

Taehyung’s “get out of your imagination” comment is a great example.  It was so easy for people to interpret that to mean “don’t ship me at all/don’t ship me with JK” and they just jumped on that because it suited them, even though there’s another reading of the same comment that presents itself just as easily and makes more sense in context.

Instead of considering that as a possibility, people cling to their own interpretation without even thinking about the alternative because it suits their predetermined ideas, whether those ideas are anti-shipping in general or in favor of another ship.

The example you’ve used is great too.  Taekookers are constantly accused of making up random shit to make our ship more believable or to debunk other ones -- and again, there absolutely are people who do that, I’m not denying that -- but it’s not like the same tactics aren’t thrown back at us all the time.  They absolutely are.

What really grinds my gears about the whole thing is how real “evidence” for lack of a better word, and genuine analysis/observations, are completely dismissed because the fandom at large has collectively decided that everything any Taekooker could possibly have to talk about is obviously made-up nonsense pulled from nothing.  Meanwhile the same people fail to recognize their own biased thinking and do all the things they accuse us of doing in order to justify their own views of the situation.

Obviously, this is the internet.  Everyone has their own opinions and we can all have our own spaces to talk about them.  We’re never all going to agree, and we need to be okay with that, but it does irk me sometimes, I’d be lying if I said it didn’t.

Chapter 5 - Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas. Episode 2.

Evan: Well thats our gang, and dont worry, we arent per say a gang, we just call it that way. I feel I maybe should say a bit more about Andy and Congo, as they are a big part of the gang as well. Congo is 49 years old, making him the oldest member of "the gang". He is a carpenter, very warm hearted, very tall, very big and bulgy guy with hair on his chest and arms. A real muscly teddy bear. He is kind, compassionate, loving, caring, really just a great guy who always wants to help. And then there's Andy. Smart, willstrong, reckless, passionate, strong, artistic in so many ways, flirty, cheeky, and add to all of that a dash of crazy. He is wonderful really. I could talk about him for hours, and I probably will end up doing so… but still I wouldnt be able to give him half as much credit as I want to. I admire him. Really. And now as I have mentioned the gang, I just wanna round it all of by quickly introducing Andy's family as we also shared Christmas with. Leonard, Andy's dad. 52 years old. Goes by the name Lenny. Very intelligent, great humor, a real family man always trying his best to help where he can. Katherine, Andy's mom, goes by the name Kat. 51 years old, very sweet and kind woman, very loving, a bit of a hen mom, very protective of Andy, but there is many understandable reasons for that, reasons Im sure most people would be able to understand if they knew. George, Andy's uncle, Lenny's big brother. 63 years old. Highly educated psychologist and Andy's therapist. Very down to earth, very caring and friendly. And last but not least, George's wife Gabriella. Mostly goes by the name Gaby. Shes much younger than George, actually only 33 years old. But they seem to have a very loving, yet open relationship. They are allowed to have sex with others, as long as they use protection. She is sweet, filled with positive energy, nature loving, a bit of a hippy although the right term in her opinion, is Gypsy. She is very beautiful, spiritual and knows a bit of white magic. She is an educated sexologist, and often advices Andy, trying to guide him through his new sexuality. I tend to keep a bit of a distance to her, she looks almost identical with my ex… the one I broke off with just before Christmas. Only she has darker skin, and less bitchy attitude.

Right, as I were saying; Christmas day… the whole gang was gathered at the ranch to celebrate Christmas and hopefully at the same time lift all our spirits a bit as well. It had been a rough past couple of months for most of us, so it was safe to say we needed a bit of fun. So we all decided to head to the nearby park. Fresh air would do us all good. It was gently snowing, everyone was chatting and trying to catch up on news from each others lives, some started building snowmen, while others had snowball fights. I looked around, Andy wasnt anywhere to be seen, so I left the group to go search for him. I found him quickly, I had been wondering why he was dragging a backpack around, and why he had had a smirk on his face while walking to the park. Turned out the idiot knew there were a small pond, and of course he had brought ice skates. This is the man who can dance like you see in the movies, you know Step up and shit, but still he can manage to trip over his own shadow. I laughed as he twirled around himself like a ballerina, he is always doing crazy shit like that. He laughed at me, pointed at the bag and told me he brought a pair for me as well. I couldnt figure if it was a bad or good idea, but I guess it was either the skates or building a snowman with Daniel that kept eagerly yelling my name. A snowman he would give up on half way through, and leave me to finish. So I grabbed the skates. I shook my head while tying them on, thinking there was no way this could end up well, as I hadnt worn skates since my early teens, but despite all warning signs flashing, I let myself glide out on the ice. Turns out ice skating is a bit like riding a bike, you never really forget how it works. We skated around for a while, just circling the pond, enjoing the fresh cold air on our cheeks, making them blush deep red. Andy kept smiling happily, it was easy to see he needed this. The freedom. Truthfully he is much like a child still, lets just say he had a rough start at life. Its really not anything I wanna get into. Cause Im not sure I can handle reminding myself about it. But sometimes, its easy to see the child still living in him. I guess thats one of the many reasons why we all tend to be protective towards him, well that and his suicide attempts also added to the constant feeling of protecting him, and the constant worry. I had missed seeing him smile like this. Happy. Worry free. I found myself getting lost in his bright smile, so when he grabbed my hand, I at first didnt notice. I guess I had already gotten quite used to him holding it when we were hiding somewhere alone. However, as I did notice, I stopped and quickly put both my hands in my pockets.

Andy: Frowned lightly What? He pointed towards the group they are pretty far away, and they are all bussy playing or yapping… no one is gonna see us. He reached his hand towards mine Come on man… lets take a spin.

Me: I looked towards the group, he was right, they were pretty far away, maybe they wouldnt notice? I looked at his hand, hesitating, and just as he looked like he was going to give up on me, I grabbed his hand okay… a quick spin…

Andy: His smile grew big and wide, and made his eyes sparkle, damned if he didnt knew how beautiful his eyes were in that state. He grabbed my other hand as well, and started slowly spinning us around on the ice, chuckling softly see… we are well hidden by the bridge… and I bet no one has even noticed we are gone anyway, I bet I could even kiss you without anyone noticing he winked at me and smiled cheekily

Me: No, dont! For a guy with a pretty deep voice, I find it hard to understand why my voice suddenly came out as a squeaky girl voice, and I blushed deep red

Andy: He chuckled hoarse since when do you blush?

Me: I looked down on our hands as I felt my cheeks get even warmer

Andy: He tilted his head and chuckled in the same hoarse tone and since when are you shy?

Me: I stopped and looked at him with a glare

Andy: Chuckled warmly alright alright, I'll shut my big mouth…. I'll try to behave okay?

Me: I chuckled softly and shook my head as I started spinning again We both know thats near impossible.

Andy: He chuckled cheekily and pointed his tongue at me You know me so well.

Me: *I chuckled softly, thinking to myself he was right. I had known him almost 15 years, it just seemed like Andy had always been in my life, one way or another. I observed his at that point green mohawk, the snow flakes getting caught in it as we were spinning around, his eyesbrow piercing, the new piercing on his nose bridge, his lip piercing, and as I sniffled my runny nose, I felt the cold metal of my own septum piercing. Just yesterday he had complained that my snake bite piercings in my bottom lip had been like and I quote him 'kissing a cold lamp post' so I had taken them out for the day. Not that we could kiss anywhere around here anyway, but just in case an oportunity would drop. It was hard to see anything but Andy, the slowly falling snow surrounded his well proportioned face, made his high cheekbones look even more pink from the cold, he was gorgeous, and I longed for his lips. I got so lost in him, spinning on that pond, and I think he got lost in me too. So lost we didnt even notice Daniel had snuck up on us, and was now enjoying life as a paparazzi. He was alrady on to us, and determined to get a proof. But for now the rest of the world didnt exist, it was only Andy, the falling snow and I. Well that was until we both lost ballance.

radical feminism, in my opinion, allows women to find sisterhood, something ripped away from us by patriarchy. we can speak about womens voting rights, our rights to have our own bank accounts, abortion rights, right to divorce etc, but i think you already know all of those which is why i speak about personal experience.

a woman who unlearns centering her life around men is a powerful woman. giving women their voices back, and their bodies, and the love of other women is to me worth unmentionably much more than mens hurt feelings. womens lands, womens movements and even just all female friend groups - i have a circle of radfem friends who are all absolutely incredible people - they all collectively put womens needs and wants back into focus. men have always centered other men, so why shouldnt women center other women? why are you not in the inbox of MGTOWs, MRAs and redpillers? what is it specifically about radical feminism that is so provoking?

Strange question, do you prefer when Star Guardians was more Sailor Moon or Madoka Magica? Or do you like both?

Oddly enough i prefer Sailor Moon.

Reason is that Riot keeps releasing skins (wich is not... bad, entirely) and those skins now need a plot/story. Point is that back when Lux team was the only one the skinline had, it was very Sailor Moon styled. They fight the baron, void creatures, they have silly school drama, lesbians, that's literally pretty much Sailor Moon. And it was great. Back on the day it was suggested that Janna, as she is the one that has been an star guardian for the longest time, has some secrets. Thats fine.

Then Ahri's team appeared, and it wasnt bad, either, but they started introducing a story that was more than just haha sparkles! And honestly, it was interesting! Problem is that, you back then realize 'Oh, no, this skinline is going to crash down in hell' cause now we have 3 mysterious star guardians that are dead/fallen/etc. Now Syndra exists, and its stated that she has dark secrets. Sarah is a lesbian (periodt and it has literally nothing to add to my point but regardless) and she has like conflict with Ahri so thats more school drama. This is kinda like when the Outer Senshi started to appear in Sailor Moon and they got added to the original team in a lot of the episodes? well.

Then Neeko, Zoe and Xayah/Rakan released. And oh man things were so good but everything started to crash eventually. Now we have the concept that star guardians can be corrupted! By desesperation/death/whatever. Do you guys remember when Janna said she had secrets? At this point in the lore, who the fuck cares about Janna??????? Who cares about the Lux team? What do they do? Do they just rescue kitties from trees while Ahri shows up like 'ok i can handle the sassy kid and my corrupted best friends with my chameleon bestie'.

Okay, the Kai'sa gang is what killed me and made me loose the focus on the story. I have opinions, and that is that i just think community has done a lot to make star guardian entretaining because i didnt understand half of the story on the event. Lux is dead or smth cause she has an statue, and i readed that and i just said 'Whatever' cause Lux dying is so meaningless to the plot. We literally know nothing about her in recent years, there's literally nothing to say 'omg i cant believe this happened'. They just say well Lux is dead. Well what about Jinx?? Lulu?? Poppy?? Janna??????? I hate Ezreal with my guts but that dude isnt like affected??? Where IS the people?!??! Completely understand that they added A LOT of characters to the story line but come on you cant just said 'oops she died, anyway here's Kaisa talking to a stone LOL'. I didnt get the villains and the corruption. The Harp being Fiddlesticks was like woah! Thats cool. Why is Zoe just Zoe but purple then? Why is Morgana purple then? Why are they sassy?????? I mean okay there are great villains that are sassy. these arent.

Okay i dont want to rip the lore apart. Thats what sentinels of light are for. they are my punching bag and i dont regret it. This is just what happens when you're a capitalist and you try to keep people interested but you keep stepping over your own story and messing it up just for the sake of adding more characters. If this was just Sailor Moon then we could have as many skins as we wanted without trouble and sassy villains! But i get the story keeps people interested, i cant blame aanyone and im happy they like it! I love what community has done for Star Guardian cause it what keeps my interest rather than the canon, keep writing keep creating cause im watching.
