[FNAF AU] The Glamrocks
"Let's bring a bright welcome to our redesigned, pushed to their potential and superstars to the Glamrocks!"
People have the desired for me to redesign the Glamrocks for my AU "Security Breach: Revision" so here they are!
I am so happy how is getting together this AU which the next step is bring 'em the introduction and start this AU! But don't worry! THIS IS NOT EVEN THE HALF OF ALL THE GANG AROUND THE MEGA PIZZA PLEX.
The Glamrock take their places in the show stage and their own places and rooms. The Glamrocks proceeds to be in Rockstar Row as their room locations, meanwhile the Glampops are in the Popstar Path in the opposite side of the Rockstar Row. Entering to the show stage located, Rockstar Row is placed on the left side, while Popstar Path is on the right side.
The Glamrocks and the Glampops doesn't... like each other that much, there's a misunderstanding between them, an argument of which is the best music genre: Pop or Rock? Meanwhile Glamrock Freddy hasn't got any problem about it as his Glampop version, the others seems to not understand that it can be a good mix between Pop and Rock.
The Recycled has no problems with non of those gangs, even tho, they're fascinated by their concerts in the show stage wishing someday to be able to perform regardless their looks.
Reminder of this AU:
"Security Breach: Revision" amplifies the size and space of the Mega Pizza Plex and brings a second chance and update to FNAF 2, 3, 4 and Sister Location animatronics. More new locations, reincoporated and modified animatronics for a better experience and new places to explore!
This AU would be shown as comic and doodles to make you know about the characters interaction with each animatronic and discover lore behind them. Details, facts, exploration and even more forward the actual story prologue before Security Breach, either way is a completely reimagined story of the actual game and universe which NON OF THIS IS CANON.
Animatronics are NOT Possessed by any children, or similar, no corpses inside the animatronics, nothing, they're clean and their personalities comes from advanced AI system programmed by the technicians and Fazbear Entertainment.
So with it, I can introduce you to them:
Glamrock Freddy: The leader, the rockstar, the best father figure you might ever seen (daddy issues?); Freddy is someone really caring and the main character of the megaplex, adored by many of course. He cares for the children, makes sure nobody's hurt, makes sure everyone is having a faz-errific day and a good stay, he gives joy and smiles and what he loves most is to be with the ones he cares most and help anyone in need. He's a good mentor by the way.
Glamrock Bonnie: The most respectful one, Bonnie is everyone's bestie and he's really extroverted. He has got no shame at all but he does everything right, a good icon to follow I tell ya, he takes the electric guitar side while Freddy sings. He's a cool guy and actually loves cooking along Chica, he takes the Bonnie Bowl place and his star meal is carrot cake!
Glamrock Chica: An extroverted fella full of energy but not too clean nor neat at all- Chica smells like strawberry pie because she BAKES! Rockstar and baker? Why not my guy, she loves pizza, sheloves food in general and her star meal is strawberry pie. Chica is passionated with her work as guitarrist, never stops rocking as a Barbie girl (bc of the colors)! She's kind and really warm friend to be with but she rarely goes by herself to someone. Seems she's making distances.
Roxanne Wolf: She's the best! A good rockstar, the best keytarrist, a badass mother to take care of your children in Roxy's Raceway. She has many fans and as her clothing looks like, she loves so much car races and anything vehicle related. She's a good racer but a bad loser, to any birthday kid losing a race, she goes straight away to stop those other racers trying to make the birthday boy to win. As the security guards requested to Roxy, she takes care of Cassie and she has full access and membership forever because her dad passed away by "strange circumstances" deep down the Pizza Plex (do not worry tho, Cassie has mother so she just comes visit the place often). Roxy might have a really high ego and pride but... she blames herself a lot when plans don't go as she would like to.

Digging into Suns Character
Hello!. Today I wanna look into Suns character and how he is compared to how the fandom see's him.
I've seen people say he hates adult and enjoys working with kids or the opposite like He hates handling children.
In my opinion he truly has respect for everyone equally. We need to remember the Virus.
When Vanny took over. It caused Glamrock Freddy to shut down and made the others have a change.
Chica actually tried to help Freddy if you pay attention to the beginning cut scene of them performing.
Roxanne Wolf was an emotional mess and tried to push herself to be the best and dragged herself through it.
But when Cassie put on the Mask. Roxy was kind and knew Cassie loved carrot cake.
Cassie had a great time at the daycare as well and loved it there. Meaning Sun and Moon actually took care of the kids.
But because they were mixed up. It caused Sun to become a nervous wreck and probably knew something was wrong with him because Moon acted off. Leading to the problem Moon scared a child. And this report was probably at the same time when Freddy shut down and they had to stop the concert without realizing the animatronics acted weird.
Like Chica eating trash when she never eats trash. She was made to eat pizza around the kids so they can be around her because she's cool to them.
I do believe these animatronics are kind like Glamrock Freddy. But what Vanny did made them messed up to the point their programming didn't fit with them.
Turning them into wild animals and go out of control
When you use the fazwrench. They Actually become nicer again when you Rebooted Sun and Moon into Eclipse. and Roxy to her brave and calmer self.
Now looking into HW2 the animatronics sure seem to be like in security Breach. Chica was still trying to eat. Roxy was a bit tempered and Moon is very vicious. Meaning HW2 as base to where Security Breach started and the Virus is still around.
Looking into Sun. Not only he was a Daycare Attendant. But was originally a theater animatronic for Fazbear Theatre.
Sun and moon had interacted with kids and adults in the past and was actually respectful and kind and they wanted them to also be a part of Superstar Daycare because they trust Sun and Moon. But they Couldn't get Eclipse because they would have to get rid of Moon.
I love Sassy Sun but I do believe he only became Sassy just for making others laugh. It's his comedic side with the lines. "If I was programmed to fix it. It would of already be fixed"
If that made you laugh or chuckle then that's his way of being comedic.
Sun isn't a bitch or whatever you guys think lol.
I think Sun wasn't in his right programming. Like the virus in his coding was messing him up and overusing comedic acts to the point he is not realizing he Shredded your work Or snapping at you. I believe Sun didn't mean to do those things he wasn't himself because of what's infecting him.
Think of a computer. When you get a virus it won't stop giving pop ups or random jumbles. I truly believe Sun is like the computer we mentioned. The more infected he is the more his system overuse his jokes to the point he's not realizing what he's doing anymore

Anon who sent that ask about Eridan interacting with the alpha kids not long ago. I wanted to talk about it a little more particularly with Jake, both are gun welding hunters who love adventure. That'd probably be enough to kick it off for them, Eridan and Jake would love to share stories about their accomplishments while maintaining a cool persona. They can talk about knowing Jade briefly, their hope aspect, the isolation they felt growing up, their drama with relationships, like how everyone is wants Jake and no one wants Eridan, how blue bitches cant be trusted! There's so much they could discuss! Roxy and Eridan is pretty obvious with the many interests and personal struggles they share. Such a missed opportunity they never interacted.
I don't think Eridan per se loves adventure as much as Jake has. But his hunting and FLARP sessions, make him active in going out to dangerous places and killing someone when threatened. But it would be kind of cool for Eridan to share his stories about his FLARP games. It would definitely boost Eridan's ego and confidence that someone is willing to listen to him. Both can sympathize about Jade living on island. Though Jake knows that Eridan bothered Jade mostly to hit on her, he like to believe he notices that Jade was alone and tries to at least keep her company because of her isolation. Eridan sending Jade his rifle was also necessary too. Eridan would probably be confused on concept of grandparents, but Jake would help him that it's not too bad to have an extended family or someone of the opposite sex to raise you. The relationship drama of everyone wanting Jake and nobody wanting (that close in matesprite/kismesis) would also be an interesting one. Though Jake is definitely a better person in terms of personality, most of his friends only want him for dick and sex, not him as an actual person who has his own interests and problems that can't be solved by love. On the other side, Eridan is not the greatest person due to how he was raised to believe that status and power is what determines your worth. He knows he bitches and wwhines to others about his problem, but he wants to genuinely want to help others. Just that either the other party doesn't want to explain about their own issues or Eridan's approach to things is not seen as great. Both can help each other. Eridan helping Jake stand up to tell his real feelings to his friends while also giving a chance to be in better terms with them and Jake helping Eridan to be a less shitty person that he may start to see that his old beliefs were not as great as he thought.
Blue bitches can never be trusted. I like to imagine either Eridan seeing how Jake interacted with Jane or Aranea, he would be asking Jake if he is aware that even with his love for blue-themed, the girls' personalities range from clingy to 8oring(at least in Aranea's case). Yeah, Eridan would think Aranea is a nice Vriska, but he would be bored with her always talking that he can't even get a say or word to really rile her up and start hate flirting. He prefers a challenge from his partner and Aranea probably won't give him that. Eridan would advise Jake to stick with humans that just have similar white Caucasian matching color as him. And if Jake addresses there is more than one skin color tone, than Eridan shrugs and say fine because most of the monkey humans look all the same to him. Maybe have a meta joke about how even if the acknowledgement of other races or people interpreting the kids as other ethnicities, they are still kept in the same art style. That it would be easier that if someone thought they were black, they would make it more obvious in the overworld sprite. Jake may say something that standardize sprite look is just a base for others to view however they want, but Eridan argues that it is stupid and whatever is shown to him(and the viewer) is what it is. If they have the time to make a stand in, then they would have the time to give detail to make it known said person is a different race. Either everyone can be seen as this or nobody seen as it. Can also be funny to imagine that Jake notices Eridan's crush on Roxy that Eridan would try and ask for help on how to be less of a dick and be a true gentleman. Jake does so on trying to be a decent man. Some parts may make Eridan feel embarrassed or question if it even works, but Jake does genuinely want to help and believes that things like that are one of the steps forward to be a better person. Eridan would probably hear about Caliborn being his genuine friend compared to others. The troll would agree in some parts with the Cherub, but question about his approach on trying to get Jake to acknowledge his own problems and get him to fully stand up. Or question if Caliborn is any better because his fondness for Jake mostly stems from the destiny thing that would lead to Lord English's existence. That he would be no better than Calliope on using people to lead to his existence and his goals. Eridan thinks Caliborn is like Karkat, but Caliborn holds nothing back on calling out Eridan's bullshit and denies that he is has any familiarity with the mutantblood nobody, which Eridan tries to at least defend Karkat's honor as a friend, despite knowing that Karkat may still hate Eridan for what he did. Eridan and Caliborn would be at odds on how to approach things with Jake and the rest of the Alpha Kids. But soon enough, Eridan and other trolls(Equius, Nepeta, and Feferi) time with the Alpha Kids starts to improve without Calliope and Caliborn's involvement. That the Alpha Kids doesn't need to depend or listen too much of what the Cherubs had to say, picking up on their true intentions and goals. Eridan would happily mock Caliborn, the 'kar wwannabe', that he can't do shit towards Jake or anyone else. Maybe it is at that point, Caliborn would acknowledge Eridan as another Hero of Hope to face him, calling back to Eridan's old prophesized destiny and knowing he can't underestimate another person like Dave, who was given this same goal too as the Hero of Time. Though Jake English may have been the one of the people that would give the name Lord English, he can't deny other timelines where other heroes had been given a chance to bring LE down. Sure they are doomed timelines, but they were still given that choice if the slight chance something breaks the usual cycle. There's so much Homestuck could have done, but failed by the end. At least we have fanfics. So feel free to make those What-If scenarios and Fix-Its. To show others that a series like this could have been better if given enough thought and time.

If you could choose any player to add to the canon beta kids’ session that would have helped them out massively, what would their classpect be and why? What about the alpha kids’ session?
This is a really interesting question! It's difficult for me to really say, with regards to the Beta kids' session, since their session did run about as smoothly as one could imagine, aside from the outside forces that made things go so utterly awry. Dave kept things fairly tight with the timelines, especially as he began to quickly correct his own missteps, though his biggest weakness was his constant fight to establish a true, authentic identity. John's ascent to true Hero status was complimented by his love for his friends, and he greatly impacted the trajectory of their lives even as he was "doing his own thing." His biggest challenges, from what I recall, came whenever his freedom was severely restricted, though the best example of this was his time spent on the three-year universe-spanning trip. Rose had some very unique struggles with her Classpect, but ultimately came out of it with an incredible breadth of knowledge and experience—not to mention a true appreciation for Void, Light's opposite. Jade also faced her own demons—including her prototyped dreamself, which forced her to come face-to-face with the things she hated most about herself.
In truth, a Hero of Heart would've likely helped things go a little smoother in the "identity and self-reflection" department, but this would not be without its own risks. This session was made up of three Passive players (Heir, Seer, and Knight) and one Active (Witch), though Rose attempted to shift that balance during much of her time pre-Scratch as she inverted to the Witch of Void. Given the time it took for Jade to grow into her power, it makes sense that the balance felt even more misaligned for some time. That said, they may have benefited from a Heart player with an Active Class—one whose journey toward self-actualization would at least inspire others, even if they don't go out of their way to play therapist.
Speaking of Classes, a Prince of Heart is out of the question. Their destruction of Heart would not bode well for a session that desperately needs more, and Dave suffered enough at the hands of Bro, who carries all the qualities of his post-Scratch Classpect, plus the influence of Caliborn/Lord English through Lil Cal. (More on that another time.) A Thief of Heart would also be inadvisable, for fairly obvious reasons. If the team needed another powerhouse, a Witch of Heart wouldn't be a terrible idea, but Witches are known for having powerful familiars (such as Becquerel and Gl'bgolyb) that often overpower the will of their Witch in the early game. The Page, Maid, and Mage could all fit the role well, particularly if they're likeable enough. This wouldn't be a problem for a Page of Heart, who would have an uncanny magnetism that might just pull the team through a little quicker toward self-actualization.
As for the Alpha kids, if we're taking into consideration the fated expansion of the Beta and Alpha sessions into one big eight-player session, then Space and Time players aren't necessary, so we don't have to worry about those. (I do, however, have some fun ideas about what might've happened if Roxy had attempted to create a Genesis Frog using the same principle she did for the Matriorb, by "stealing" its nonexistence, and how she'd be the best candidate to do so, due to her Class and her Aspect's placement in the Wheel. I'd like to keep this from becoming a thesis paper, though.) The Alpha session had the opposite problem of the Beta session: three Active players (Maid, Prince, and Page) and one Passive player (Rogue). Since Maids start out with a more Passive lean, this is where we see the initial illusion of "balance" coming from. By the end, though, it's obvious that we've got too many motherfucking cooks in this motherfucking kitchen, and every single one of them is putting up a front of some kind, as if you could win a prize for being the most emotionally opaque player in a session. What they really, truly need is someone who will inspire them to sit down and be real with each other—someone who can help them cut through the noise, and also make sure Roxy isn't the one saddled with holding the friend group together. Someone like...the Sylph of Blood.
We've seen what the power of a Blood player can look like, even without ascending to God Tier. Karkat was a tour de force as the Knight of Blood, uniquely capable of keeping the members of his session in line long enough to almost win the damn thing. This is even more impressive when you consider that he and his friends were members of a violent species whose society was developed with limitless cruelty baked into every system and institution. Even worse—they were teenagers. While there's certainly no reason why a Knight of Blood couldn't have helped the Alpha kids, Knights are known to put up fronts of their own in order to protect themselves. That's the last thing the Alpha kids need. A Sylph, meanwhile, would be just as skilled at encouraging the kind of raw emotional honesty their session desperately needs, while also being more likely to show their own vulnerable side. Whether they do this by sitting everyone down for mandatory group therapy sessions, or spend much of their session browbeating their teammates to just fucking talk to each other, is up to the individual Sylph. Pick your poison.

Obligatory SB Ruin first-impressions opinion piece
On its face, I do not like Ruin. It is not satisfying at all and simply opens up more questions in a very, VERY annoying way. And the few character moments I do adore about it are underutilized and short-lived. And that pisses me the HELL off.
Roxy and Cassie’s past and connection feel like an afterthought. It feels like it’s there to bait us, honestly. Like nothing came out of that other than an out-of-nowhere gutwrench scene that feels so cheap in hindsight. And Eclipse, god Eclipse (or as I call them when I don’t want to get canon vs fanon confused- Ruinclipse). Eclipse is great. I adore them, just like everyone else does. But there is not enough of them, not even close. In fact, I would rather have not gotten them at all because how DARE Steelwool make a character they KNEW would be fucking BELOVED and only give them like 3 lines of dialogue? And they’re great. Their voice in particular is fucking incredible. Kellen Goff KNOWS what he’s doing with character voices. But there was like none of them. And that angers me for OBVIOUS FUCKING REASONS.
My biggest gripe with Ruin is that it has things that are really fucking good, but there isn’t ENOUGH.
And don’t even get me started on how the whole mimic thing came out of nowhere and just brings up more questions and complicates things EVEN MORE. And now I am desperately digging for an un-before-discovered ending in feeble hope for SOMETHING, ANYTHING, that even vaguely SEEMS like closure or an actual fucking ENDING.
We have no background for anything, btw. We don’t know how Cassie knows Gregory, we don’t know where she came from, we know NOTHING about her.
This dlc sacrificed half-decent storytelling in favor of scares and gameplay and that is the exact opposite of what it should have tried to do. I consider Ruin a massive fucking step down from Security Breach as someone who loves Security Breach despite its flaws.
Ruin was not exactly boring like most critics I’ve seen claim, but rather the moments of excitement and good HAVE NO PAYOFF.
As it stands right now, I would honestly rather Ruin not have happened.
I will still post about it, and join in fandom hype, but not because of what it is. But rather what I know it could be. I say all of these things out of love. Because I love FNAF and I love SB and I love the direction it took, but god I hate how they have done nothing to enrich it with Ruin. This dlc honestly feels like a big waste of time. They focused on pleasing the gameplay-obsessed haters who wouldn’t have appreciated the dlc no matter what happened and completely forgot what was actually good about the initial game. And that deeply saddens me. I hope things get better. I hope whatever we uncover later gives closure, I hope there are things in the future, but as of right now this was a massive disappointment.
And honestly the bar of my expectations was barely an inch from the ground relative to the base game.
Edit: wow I sound angrier here than I thought I did when it was initially made. I promise I mean all of this in a “it’s so close to being great and I’m frustrated at how far it fell” way and this is not just me screaming “it didn’t meet a quota for the amount of things I like in it”. The lore problems are the biggest issue here (even though FNAF lore was already fucked but it’s never fun to see it get further mangled) it just specifically is extra aggravating how little of the exciting character moments we got if that makes sense.

Just wondering (no hate, I promise) what are your specific issues with MF and MGK’s relationship? Not a fan of hers (last I saw was Jennifer’s Body), and though I like his music I’m not really into keeping up with gossip (bad for my mental health), so I truly mean it, what’s up with them? Also feel free to not answer this is if you’re not doing well/are worried you’ll get hate for it. Hope you’re having a great day :)
Oh I'll probably definitely get hate for it, people who support her tend to act like her which I'm sure in their eyes is a lovely thing. I'd refer you mostly to @triplexdoublex for alllll the bullet points, I truly try to keep my page to supporting the boys- though I can't always keep myself from a few choice words about her. Roxy has always been the best at covering what happens between them, though I think even she is getting a bit worn down by it so I wouldn't suggest asking so much as scrolling through her old posts. But I'll take a small crack at it.
I was supportive in the beginning, he talked like he was so in love and I have plenty of old posts showing them off and telling people to leave them alone, but then the drama started.
She would post something melodramatic and keep it super cryptic and sad and people would automatically spread rumors he was cheating. She let rumors spread that he gave her a ring that physically hurt if she took it off, never explaining he hadn't. The jewelry company had to explain. She posted a pic of her arm in a cast and said something like 'I deserved this' or something along those lines which of course people started saying he had hurt her. Eventually the movie company she had been filming with came out explaining she fell during a stunt. This is a small amount of things she would post that would start rumors he was abusive and she fueled the fire at every turn instead of fixing it. She has only once that I can think of said anything to fix the problem and even then it was after posting a caption alluding to him cheating and people went wild and pulled his female guitarist into the mix. She deleted her Instagram and hid for a long time before saying it was "all the media's fault". She acts like she's never to blame but she loves stirring the pot and watching his reputation burn.
There are a lot of images of the exact opposite happening, her very obviously "getting on to him" in public at award shows or just shunning him when he'd get near, which of course also spread rumors but only about him.
She acts like she fixed him, she flat out said she manifested him into existence as a child. Like he's some bad boy archetype and nothing more. Like he's there to serve her. It's not healthy for either of them, her putting that much pressure on him or her having that high of thought about him. There's so many things that make me twitch when I see that they're still together. His personality changes, the way he seems submissive around her but himself everywhere else. The way his own friends seem to come out in support of him staying free of her. Pretty much all of this is on Roxy's page, she did an amazing job keeping up with it all.
I'm sure I'm about to get hate for this, besides my fics I've tried to be mostly careful about staying out of it but for a few random mentions. I've supported Roxy when people come for her and that's how most of the hate has ended up here but honestly I just feel bad for them. I don't spend my time hating her, I don't sit around and fume about it, I try not to even post about it much. Besides my genuine concern for him I don't actually focus on her much at ALL anymore. Why waste my time on hate? I'm sure I'll get anon rage for this but like... That must be a really hard way to live. I always think that about her too. How exhausting it must be to crave attention and shit stirring like that. How tiring narcissism must be. I don't wish harm on her, I just don't think either of them are healthy together. She needs to find herself again as much as he needs free. She's literally changing herself to fit what she thinks he wants. Just so people pay attention? Shit that must suck. Hopefully this explained a few things but again I suggest a deep dive on Roxy's page for the best info 🖤 Hope you have a great day too!

HELLO AGAINNNNN ITS BIG BRAIN ANON *drops this here and runs away*
Thinking about how in your Hello Again AU, Circus Baby's and Mega Pizzaplex co-exist.
Imagine somehow the Funtimes and the Glamrocks meet. Circus Baby and Glamrock Chica somehow get along. Monty is intensly talking about something and Ballora is listening while holding Bonbon in her arms. Roxy and Funtime Foxy surprisingly get along well, though neither of them like to admit it. Then of course, we have the Freddy's. Glamrock Freddy is doing his best to keep everyone civil, he's being nice. Funtime Freddy is having none of that.
You are having a conversation with Glamrock Freddy in the quietness of Parts and Service. You were so fascinated of how different they worked, how they're so advanced given their time on earth. And how different Freddy counterparts actually had opposite personalities. As Glamrock Freddy answered all your questions happily, Parts and Service door opens behind you, letting in your own Fazbear. Neither of them look happy to see the other, but you have a bigger problem. Glamrock Freddy standing in front of you protectively, seeing the polar bear as a threat to you. And Funtime Freddy standing right behind you possesively, knowing damn well who you belong to.
(i just wanna get sandwiched between bears.....)
Tumblr media
The following collection of images is titled “stages of me reading this ask”
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
No but for real I’m losing it over this. LOSING IT. I love this. I love this so much.
You know I’m a sucker for protective Freddy but TWO PROTECTIVE FREDDYS?? FOR THE PRICE OF ONE?? Where do I sign?
Ugh and just thinking about FunFred getting so fucking jealous over this new Freddy that’s all shiny and new and he’s taller and has a slimmer build and please don’t leave me for him I love you so much- and you have to shush him like a wild horse to calm him down. Shhhhh, it’s okay buddy, no one is leaving anyone. It’s okay.
God and the mental image of the Glamrocks and the Funtimes hanging out together is sending meeeeee. On top of the dynamics you described (GOD TIER by the way, your brain continues to be huge and full of deep, juicy wrinkles), I can’t stop thinking about the big web of how each animatronic feels about the other. I love the idea of everyone getting along and being besties but you know what I love more? Some of the robots hating each other. Like, I can see Funtime Foxy and Glamrock Chica having the sort of relationship where they’re, like, fake friends. They act like they’re friends when they’re together, but apart they rip into each other and gossip nonstop to the others. I can also see Baby not being very fond of Glamrock Freddy due to his passiveness and naivete. She finds it annoying.
Oh OH oh what if there’s this big party where all the animatronics and human employees from both locations come together and get to know each other and raaaaAAAAHHH I’m going feral-
Seriously though this is the BEST IDEA ilysm and thank you for sharing this with me. I’m losing my gourd just thinking about this. I kinda want to write this. God. I’m just. I’m gonna be thinking about this for the rest of my LIFE.
Thank you. Bless you.

Ruin theory: this is just me purely talking about what I think ruins gameplay will be like compared to security breach
from what we've seen so far it seems to me like ruin will be more linear than security breach. in security breach, of course it's just a fundamental problem with the game, but that's not the only reason that you get lost a lot exploring the huge mall and not really knowing where to go.
you have so much freedom and space to run around. you can literally go anywhere
but I think ruin will be different. think like, resident evil 4, where you aren't exactly trapped, but to progress the game you have to go forward in a straight ahead path, and you can go back if you WANT... but to actually get to the next part of the game you have to leave an area.
just looking at the animations in the trailer, it looks like there will be a lot more cutscenes and scripted animations in the game. like roxy grabbing cassies arm, cassie jumping into gator golf, etc
so that makes me think with more cutscenes/animations to trigger, the more areas WITH a trigger there will be, and they will be in a linear path
next is to find your way around. with a linear path in the game, you would need a guide to tell you what's going on, what your next goal is, and where to head. my theory is that itll be Gregory, since they're already removing so much of the safety nets in ruin, I doubt you'll have an animatronic companion. the tradeoff is no companion that makes you immune to danger, but theres more places to hide and duck under/beneath AND a scarier/more challenging game
the only thing we know is that A goal, maybe not THE goal throughout the game is to find Gregory, so this means he wouldnt be with us. we've seen cassie talking to Gregory on the walkie in the trailer, so I assume they've had to have had that way to contact eachother for the entire time, especially because Gregory had to contact cassie to get her to come in the first place
so THAT would mean Gregory is your guide. let's say the first goal is just to search for him, even if we dont end up finding him that early, and he tells you where to go and what to do to reach him.
gregory is literally the cause of everything and he would know plenty about the layout of the Plex and how to dodge the animatronics after doing exactly that for a full night and on top of that being trapped there in some way shape or form for that long, so it makes tons of sense for him to be the guide, especially if more dialogue with him means more backstory/lore revealed
next is boss fights, like for example maybe theres one before the conveyer belt with chica or after? if theres a boss fight, I'm assuming it will have a much larger area to roam around, it would be a stark contrast to the tight collapsed areas of the pizzaplex that we'll be traversing through in ruin, whether it be at the sinkhole, underground, in the digital plane, or somewhere else entirely
this game is probably going to be a lot harder than security breach. like the entire formula would have been tipped over on its head, like itll be the opposite of the base game. so it would be like security breach was practice for ruin, and ruin is practice for its huge boss fight.
I wouldnt be surpised if this is the game where glitchtrap is killed. like for good. a boss fight with glitchtrap when hes had all that time to grow stronger, possibly fusing with the blob maybe or just being seemingly untouchable because hes purely digital would be a challenge no matter what. I'm guessing difficult gameplay with either straight up attacking him or completing minigames to weaken him, and the grand finale is burning the place down.
nothing like security breaches boss fight when it's literally fully dodging and pressing buttons, I'm talking like, in real time glitchtrap is attacking you directly, and you have to avoid his attacks and deal one of your own in one way shape or form, until hes weakened. once again, I'm thinking like resident evil or splatoon with it's big arenas
anyways thoughts are racing through my mind rn bc its TWO DAYS before ruin!!! 2!!! one day until the day before!!! I'm absolutely dying rn so I thought these ideas for what ruin could be like could be interesting. I could be completely wrong and not know what I'm talking about but who knows

✨General Glamrock HCs✨
⭐️Glamrock Freddy⭐️
While he can come across as oblivious, he's actually scarily perceptive of people's emotions. It's part of being the face of the franchise, and probably more of a curse than a blessing; he's programmed to be able to tell when someone's not having fun, or when they are. The problem is, he's usually so focused on that that he forgets he needs to also be aware of what's around him.
Point being, he bumps into things a lot and also comes across as a bit air-headed at times.
Very much a people-pleaser, but don't feel bad! He genuinely likes seeing people he cares about happy, and his love language is acts of service. He's selfless to a fault.
Someone please let this bear have some time to himself.
⛳️Montgomery Gator⛳️
Almost as competitive as Roxanne, although not quite. Has a tendency to rage when he doesn't win at things but has to rein it in around customers on the rare occasion a kid beats him at golf.
Despite seeming intimidating, he actually gives the best hugs if you're upset. Then he'll threaten to beat up whoever or whatever made you upset. And in some cases, he'll do it.
Has a tendency to say things he doesn't mean, especially when he's in a bad mood, and then double down on it because he's stubborn. He'll come around and apologize after some time to cool off, of course - he's just not the most thoughtful in the heat of the moment. Somewhat of the opposite to Freddy in that he doesn't always consider how what he says affects other people until it's too late.
Resents being labeled as needlessly aggressive a lot - while he has a temper, he'd never intentionally hurt someone he cares about. Honestly, he just needs a healthy output for his frustration.
🎹Roxanne Wolf🎹
Has a sibling-like rivalry with Monty. It's an "I can bully you but nobody else can" deal both ways, where they'll bicker for hours, but if anyone says anything to the other they'll defend them with their lives.
Hates small children with a passion. She much prefers dealing with older kids or teens who see her personality as cool instead of stand-offish.
Queen of self-affirmations; some people think she's insecure, but she knows her worth, she just needs to remind herself of it sometimes.
Will gossip with the others to no end - if she hears something in the Pizzaplex, assume the rest of the robots already know about it.
Isn't as self centred as some people assume - the people she cares about are her top priority, and she makes sure other people know it.
🎸Glamrock Chica🎸
Holds the high scores on almost every arcade game in the Pizzaplex. Whereas the others tend to be experts in their own games, Chica spends a lot of time trying to get good at every single other game around.
The bounciest of the band - she's always moving, whether it's walking around with a skip in her step or swaying when she stands. Do not ask her to stay still, she physically can't. Probably always fidgeting.
You know that thing where you're standing around and you idly start dancing to whatever song's in your head at the time? That's her.
Generally just bubbly and sweet, but she needs to be reminded that it's ok to not be ok sometimes.
+ Bonus
🎳Glamrock Bonnie🎳
Very sarcastic, with quite a dry sense of humor. He kind of had the cool older sibling energy that Roxy and Monty have, but with more of an unbothered vibe.
Was the level-headed one of the band before being decommissioned - since he's been gone, there's been a weird sense of unbalance between the others.
Literally unbeatable at bowling. He would score a strike every time and get accused of cheating, but he's really that good.
Actually got on very well with Monty, despite the rumors - he was the one Glamrock besides Roxy that could talk some sense into him, mainly just because he wouldn't sugarcoat anything.

hi! black person here and i just gotta say that a lot of the things youre saying are wrong and potentially harmful to the fandom and others, such other poc who may project. i would also like to clarify that cracker is not a slur, if thats what you were referring to in that one post. there are no white slurs.
homestuck was written from a white and yes, most likely racist perspective, however bad representation is still representation. erasing the poc coding in these characters is arguably whitewashing. thats really all i have to say on the matter
my apologies for this being long, but i do wanna ask one question. can you explain how janeroxy is toxic?? without the epilogues and hs2, preferably, since i dont care for those at all.
Hey that post where I said cracker was a slur was me being misinformed and I corrected myself on it. And honestly I don't have a problem with hc roxy or any of the characters being black, it becomes a problem when people mistake fanon for canon without addressing the issues of why they have that hc. And I've already discussed how this Fandom is applying poc coding that isn't actually there and is in fact the opposite. For example in homestuck equius calls out gamzee for acting like a low blood and in homestuck low bloods are the poc off alternia. Equius constantly tells gamzee his behavior isn't normal for a purple blood but because gamzee was based of a clown culture known for appropriating black culture people saw him as black caricature. And then hussie went along with it by making the entire race of juggalos the same. That's just one example. Dirk and Dave have both been explicitly mentioned as white in the comic as well. I have several posts under #racediscourse that goes over the inconsistencies and how they are written as white. Homestuck 2 solidifies it as well. Idc if you project your blackness onto them. It's the white/ non blk members of this community that I have a problem with and how they go about it.
As for Jane and roxy like black and Mr. Peanut butter they both are toxic people but you only recognize black because he's obvious about it
Jane constantly blamed and belittled and gaslit jake because she couldn't work out her own issues and rixy encouraged that. As for homestuck 2. Jane obviously is toxic because she is a genocidal fascist r4pist. Roxy was emotionally abusive to John and karkat constantly invalidating his feelings and decide for the meteor group that gamzee should be forgiven. She's also xenophobic. We see how she supports Jane for decades despite Jane's xenophobic banter and actions and used her influence over the carapace kingdom to get on jades political side, even if it was unintentional she as a God should have acknowledged her power and tried to stop it. Think about it this way, if the trolls were black people and humans white would roxys actions as an influencer be ok? It wouldn't.

Undertale Multiverse Classpects Part 1/??
It’s inevitable once I get super into something that I do this.
I will most likely do more characters but for now I started with just some of the biggest characters of the multiverse/underverse specifically.
Explanations will be under the cut. Long, long, explanations. (Almost 3k words!)
Error: Bard of Time Ink: Rogue of Space Nightmare: Knight of Doom Dream: Page of Life Cross: Witch of Blood XChara: Prince of Heart XGaster: Thief of Light
Most of this was done using the theories of 0pacfica, whose amazing classpect theory posts can be found on Ao3 here:
https://archiveofourown.org/series/1960270
Though this was also cross referenced with bladekindeyewear’s older theories (particularly on the roles of the classes and active/passive pairs) and a sprinkling of the extended zodiac.
So this is another classpect where it’s actually easier to do in pairs for a lot of the characters due to how intertwined they are.
Error: Bard of Time
Ink: Rogue of Space
When starting with these two, it really was a giant debate between me and my friends about whether Ink and Error were time and space or hope and rage. It was very hard to move away from Hope/Rage when it represents unchecked creation and destruction which...is pretty much the entire backbone of underverse, but after lots of back and forth we found Time and Space fit better overall.
It’s useful to think of Space as Beginnings and Time as Endings. Ultimately what Ink does is facilitate a bunch of new beginnings. Ink is also all about the growth of the multiverse, which is the closest analogue we really have to Skaia. Hope may be creation, but it is creation as counter to the greater narrative, and often counter to Skaia and the reproduction of the universe. On the flip side, Rage, while being destruction, is generally destruction of anything non-fundamental. Error, by contrast, does not care what is being destroyed. His goal is ultimately the end to the multiverse itself; the end of the narrative. Time and Space are also the main building blocks of the universe and without them sessions become void. Ink and Error ultimately represent the core of the multiverse and are also key in most of the big multiverse spanning stories. As well, there’s really no escaping how similar Error and Caliborn act in both personality and actions.
Finally, looking at the extended zodiac, even their personalities fit decently well, though mostly Ink and Space. While classpect is actually much more about narrative arcs and roles than personalities, it’s still useful to look at the most personality based descriptions of the extended zodiac. Space has the description ‘They are patient, masters of the art of 'wait-and-see', and are inclined to take things as they come. That isn't to say that they're pushovers or willing to let injustice lie-they just choose their battles wisely, understanding that sometimes you have to let something burn to the ground in order to build it back better and stronger than before. To this effect, they tend to be innovators, concerned with creation and redemption.‘ and if that doesn’t describe Ink in underverse at least, then nothing else does. Time is a little less fitting personality wise for Error, but these few bits are pertinent: ‘Their lives are often marked by struggle, not so much because fate has it in for them, but because they are fundamentally incapable of just accepting things as they come.’ ‘At their worst they are ruthless, defensive, and impulsive.‘
So now that Aspect is out of the way, I can explain classes. Let’s start with the easy one first. There’s no way we could have Error as anything other than a destroyer class, so Bard or Prince had to be one of the titles. Then from there it comes down to whether Error is active or passive. While it may be easy to say ‘well he actively destroys things’ it’s useful to remember someone's powers can look very similar even if active or passive. My go to for this is Roxy who despite being a passive void class, ultimately can still actively steal nothingness from concepts.
And I have to ask- does Error really actively use his aspect? Because I don’t think so. There’s a popular fan concept of Error as a ‘Forced god of Destruction’ that I think really cements this. Time as an aspect tends to also represent Fate, and if there’s a character who has been actively fucked over by Fate, it’s Error. Even from his time as Genos, Error has been the butt monkey of terrible circumstances. 0pacifica talks about ‘Student’ classes (Thieves, Seers, and Bards) as one where the aspect changes the player, and if that doesn’t describe Error just.
Also it gives Error a codpiece and isn’t that just fucking perfect.
So onto the harder class to explain- Ink being a Rogue. Unlike the Destroyer class, there’s no ‘Creator’ class to nicely fit Ink into (although some suspect that the Heal class of Sylph and most likely Maid class can double as both Heal and Create) but even then, Ink doesn’t really actively create. Rather he tends to try and inspire creators to create. For Ink it made more sense to use 0pacifica’s chart to lower down the class, and then make sure the powers still fit from there.
To start with, there’s no way Ink is anything but a mutualist class. Both Ink and the multiverse benefit from Ink’s role in the multiverse. But even more telling that Ink is a mutualist class is the line in the flowchart ‘The story is not complete until I have accomplished what I have set out to do or found another way to satisfy my initial impulse.’ From the start of Underverse at least to now (though I also suspect to the end of Underverse) the story has been driven by Ink’s actions and motivations. There wouldn’t be a story without him, for good or ill.
From there using the chart, it was easy to lower it down to Rogue or Knight. Ink really isn’t changed or used by their aspect, unlike Error. So it really comes down to does Ink use his aspect or change his aspect. From here I really like 0pacifica’s one sentence descriptions. Rogue is ‘I change my aspect to a more useful form’ while Knight is ‘I use my aspect like a tool’. Eventually we decided on Rogue because Ink doesn’t really actively use his aspect- he’s much more about inspiration- allowing others to steal his ideas, if you will ;P. He ultimately changes other beginnings in service both to the multiverse and himself- squeezing them for paint so he can keep feeling.
Also Rogue just kind of fits Ink’s aesthetic with that cute little bandit mask
What’s really cool is these two classes are also on opposite ends of the ‘Reinvent/Change’ segment of the class chart.
Hopefully this is the longest segment..
Nightmare: Knight of Doom
Dream: Page of Life
Here’s another pair we really had to decide between Hope/Rage for and Doom/Life. But honestly there wasn’t actually a lot of debate. If Doom is Stasis and Inertia, then that fits Nightmare’s ultimate goal to a T. If Nightmare gets his way, the entire multiverse will be plunged into negativity, and with no contrast, everything would just be mired in the same. In contrast to both Nightmare and in particular, Ink, Dream is all about growth and making things better. Joku has specifically stated that Dream and Ink had a falling out due to this- Dream doesn’t care about creator intentions or their story. If there is someone suffering, Dream wants to fix it.
Another way these two fit is in something 0pacifica observes regarding Doom and Life players- Life players come from ‘the top of the pile’ with every advantage behind them, while Doom players come from the ‘bottom of the heap’ with everything working against them. From their beginnings Dream has always been put upon a pedestal, with the love and adoration of the villagers surrounding them, while Nightmare was always hated, always considered as a problem before he has any type of sway over negativity. In actuality, they were born equal, but the circumstances of which side they happened to represent tilted them in their respective directions.
For the extended zodiac, since Nightmare is such a terrible person, even more so than Error in a lot of ways, means that it’s not as useful. The descriptions ar emeant for people to identify with after all, and no one is gonna self-identify with being told they are a monster. There is a bit of the extended zodiac we can use though, and that’s Nightmare as a commiserator. In underverse he gains Cross’s trust by empathizing (in a way) with his negativity, and he surrounds himself with crew that have been in as bad circumstances as he has been. Life however, has a great section that fits Dream perfectly: ‘ Those bound to the aspect of Life are the universe's healers. They are concerned with the betterment of themselves and those around them, as well as the onward march of positive progress. Deeply empathetic, they have an intuitive understanding of other's suffering and the best way of righting those wrongs.’
When looking at classes, we considered the Commensalist sections for both Dream and Nightmare for a while. But we ultimately decided against that specifically with the line that ‘my accomplishments and failings are purviews of the fringes of the narrative’ which just can’t be true for two beings so fundamental to the multiverse. Indeed, you’ll actually see none of the characters in this post fall under this side specifically because I started with the most ‘important’ characters. We ultimately decided on mutualist for Nightmare- despite his ‘bottom of the heap’ status, he ultimately tends to take control of the narrative, and much of underverse and even a lot of fan works are centered around his actions, much like Ink. Dream, by contrast, is constantly fighting an uphill battle and for most of underverse is more a pawn than any true figure of movement in the story. Parasitic fits quite well for poor Dream who no matter what ending of Joku’s story you go by, always dies.
There really is no other character who quite wields their aspect and powers to their advantage like Nightmare. I really can’t find a lot to add here, it was a pretty unambiguous choice and had very little debate in our classpect talk. All his manipulations are steeped in death and decay and well, negativity, all which fall under Doom. Knight is theorized to be the active Exploit class which fits nicely into 0pacifica’s class descriptions. So, for Dream, looking under parasitism, Dream doesn’t really change his aspect, he’s pretty much defined by Life. This lowered it down to Prince and Page. Dream, unlike Nightmare, isn’t really an active manipulator of his aspect and of his positivity. It’s more a part of him, and thus Page, who in the flowchart literally uses the line ‘I am defined by my aspect’ seemed to be the perfect fit.
Like Ink and Error, these two are also opposites on the ‘manifest’ side of classes, and even better, Knight is the active Exploit class while Page is the passive exploit class.
Thank god this section was actually shorter
Cross: Witch of Blood
XChara: Prince of Heart
While these two characters aren’t opposites in aspect or class, it’s useful to talk about both of these two at once both because of how closely they are tied together, but also because how similar their goals and narrative journeys are in general.
Basically with aspect it came down to Blood and Heart for both of them. The more material aspects really have nothing to do with either of them, both of them are much more focused on narrative meaning. Light/Void is out of the question as when it comes down to it, through all their posturing, they ultimately are much more focused on themselves than any kind of big picture or big over-arching questions on the nature of reality. This also phases out Mind for both of them. And finally, this sentence on Breath is about as anti Cross/XChara as it comes: ‘what’s meaningful and important is discovering something new, expanding that perspective, broadening the meaning-horizon and rising above the mere material of the world until ‘tradition’ is a speck of dust on a marble’.
Ultimately we went with Blood for Cross over Heart. Cross is primarily motivated by the past in a way XChara really isn’t. Hell, one of the main reasons Cross decided to fight against Frisk and XChara in Timeline X was because the timeline they were currently in was a happy place for him and the rest of the monsters. Cross is also shown to utilize bonds- it’s a vision of Cross that stops XChara in his fight against Swap/Blue. XChara, on the other hand, is much more focused on the idea of control and being in control, because they know what’s best better than anyone else. Heart is appropriately labeled as ‘egoism’ in 0pacifica’s chart and if there’s one thing XChara has, it’s an ego. There’s also the line ‘Heart is the reading into and reading out of, the situating of what’s been read in the personal and the familiar, the reshaping and reinterpreting of the text outside of the author’s hands.’ If we see XGaster as an author, then what better describe’s XChara’s role?
Honestly the extended zodiac isn’t really great for these two, once again due to the fact they are largely negative and corrupted characters. Most of what’s there isn’t truly yet in the text but implied in the opening to Underverse Season 2 (Cross being a leader through inspiration) or something that I’ve basically already covered (Heart being self-obsessed). This is long enough already so lets just move on.
There’s no way either of them are anything other than a parasitic class. ‘I could beat myself bloody against the bars of the narrative and still get no closer to the form of success I personally desire’ describes both of their experiences in XTale and Season 1 perfectly. (’All my efforts were for nothing..’) As well, for how much these characters were corrupted and damaged throughout the course of Underverse, what changed them was much more outside forces than anything having to do with their aspect- they both tend to own their aspect.
XChara is pretty definitively a Prince- He is incredibly talented at utilizing his own personal potential and even his own ego to advance his own agenda, even as it actively fucks him over. And how do his overwrite powers manifest? A complete domination of others personalities and identity. He destroys others identities and personal narratives. Cross is a tough one because most of what we’ve seen of his powers and actions have been actively manipulated by XChara whose very aspect dominates identity. But one thing that we very much see in Underverse is how Cross actively forces other people to team up and form bonds to stop him. This forwards the narrative while being actively detrimental to Cross himself. And finally, one of the last moments we see with the new Cross at the end of season 1 is him actively changing his bond/deal with Nightmare to save Dream, which gives Dream the determination and ability to escape to the Omega Timeline with the other survivors. Unfortunately most of what is in the actual text isn’t super concrete but there is enough foreshadowing and implications of where Cross’s character is going to go that Witch just ‘feels’ like the right fit.
Whew I was afraid this was somehow going to be as long/longer than the first segment
XGaster: Thief of Light
This one should hopefully be fairly short as if there was a classpect title there was the least amount of debate and back and forth on, XGaster was it.
There’s no way XGaster isn’t Light. The literal second I saw the sentence of Light that says ‘There is one answer’ there was no way he could be anything else. XGaster’s entire storyline is about finding/creating the one true perfect universe. Essentially, in classpect and narrative terms, his entire narrative is about the Search for truth and meaning. Which is literally the sentence used to describe Light in 0pacifica’s writeup.
In the interest of wrapping. this. shit. up. I’m just gonna post this section from the Light part of the extended zodiac. It feels fairly self explanatory. ‘The Light-bound will go after knowledge with a fierce intensity that others may find distasteful. They aren't overly concerned with laws or norms, either. They often take rules as simple suggestions, instead searching for loopholes or work-arounds.’
Class is where I will probably actually have to explain a little more. I don’t think mutualist is anything I really need to extensively justify- the narrative of Underverse bends to accommodate the goals of Ink and XGaster, basically everything I said about Ink also works with XGaster with how closely they are tied.
The fundamental shift of XGaster’s narrative arc and even personality is all based around knowledge. He learns from Ink that other multiverses exist and in that instant it sets him on a new path. Thieves are all about acquiring more of their aspect to change and benefit themselves, and XGaster literally gathers ideas and knowledge from other universes to create and enrich his own. I know it’s cheeky to not have just one but two canon titles, but they undeniably fit.
Also he sure does have all the irons in the fire *shot*
Aaaaaaaaaaand we’re done! Look how fast that last segment went.

im still in the process of PROPERLY reading all of Detective Pony because dirk im sorry but i have adhd i cant sit through all of those words at once. its not even that the concepts are too advanced, its just that im p sure he deliberately goes out of his way to be as obtuse and pretentious as he possibly can be (which is pitch perfect characterization sndjej)
ive read it in chunks out of order by skimming and then going back and forth, which is almost definitely cheating but also the only way i can actually digest everything going on here. detective pony is a masterpiece on about 5 different levels, it captures a very specific type of metafiction silly-to-crushingly-serious rabbit hole that i have seen over and over and which i'm struck by and fascinated with each time, even the most shallow and un-self aware of these kinds of works fascinate me (...so yes including stuff like the overbloated disaster mess that are the nostalgia critic movies)
detective pony is just unironically very engaging tho no matter how deep it goes into embarrasing dialectics and struggles with the admission of responsibility about the things you create and about how the entire book IS an extension of his psyche no matter how much he frames it like a struggle against him. the whole thing reads like a microcosm of his whole mental state and especially the fact that as he says. he set out to make a birthday present for jane and ended up just making a whole thing thats about himself and his ego and his struggles with that ego and the terrifying fact that no matter how much he says hes ashamed of it and that no one should read it, he is STILL in the active process of creating it and putting his feelings out there and arguing with himself in the form of socratic dialogue and that, in the end, he DOES end up giving it to jane
and i cant stop thinking about how jane DID READ IT. like i fully 100% believe she read every word
dirk and jane have one of the most interesting relationships in homestuck i think because they honestly care about each other and can be honest with each other in a way they struggle to be with the rest of their friend group, but in a way that's BECAUSE of how emotionally detached they tend to be. like, dirk has his whole mass of issues, but jane's deal is that she tries to be very Nice and conscious of other people's feelings, but because she's, yknow, not a perfect human being, she doesn't ACTUALLY believe everything she says, and she doesn't say most of the things she thinks, because she doesn't want to hurt others and doesn't realize this, too, is a selfish impulse, maybe moreso than actually saying what she feels
i mean. jane was SO committed to only saying what she thought was the most socially nice and appropiate thing to say, that she blew her chance with jake in the dumbest way and then kept digging her hole into the depths of the earth akdnsknd and then she dug in her heels and kept being A Good Friend against her actual wishes until her passiveness turned to passive aggression and then blew up into ACTUAL AGRESSION
I think jane and dirk kind of have similar yet opposite problems in a way, where, like... dirk doesn't want to burden others with his feelings and so tries to hide behind a billion layers of detachment and masks (to the point jake spends the entire story up to entering sburb interacting with dirk without ever actually TALKING to him directly much to his frustration), but despite that stated goal, his feelings and authentic self STILL wind up as the most overtly everpresent fact of the friend group's lives, because moderation just escapes him, so it's like the faucet is at full blast of dirk all over everyone while he stares at it wondering why the fuck he's like this
and then there's jane who is like... she WANTS to connect with others. she WANTS to understand others and be understood in return. she wants to be a good friend and a presence in their lives that they find worthwile. so with her the faucet is closed completely, other than the inescapable droplets that make her support come across as transparently condescending or passive agressive when her heart just isn't in it. jane has SUCH massive trouble expressing her actual, genuine, unironic 100% from the heart Feelings And State Of Mind to other people, and yet she's so miserable when people don't automatically KNOW where she's at
so... i think dirk would write that whole thing, which is esentially a static version of AR in that it's an encapsulation of him that is very much authentically him including the parts of himself he hates the most and never wants anyone else to see, but yet he puts it out into the world ANYWAYS because he can't bring himself to ACTUALLY hide any of himself no matter how much he wants to
and jane would 1000% read the whole thing, from the goofy violent doodly beginnings to the philosophically self-destructive metafictional cathartic end, and she would read it and absorb it and gain a clearer understanding of her friend's issues and what weighs on him, and she would definitely cry while reading it and feel deeply for her friend's situation... and she wouldn't say anything about it
she wouldnt reach out to him like HEY UH ARE YOU OKAY THIS BOOK IS KIND OF UHH CONCERNING, which is ABSOLUTELY what roxy and jake would do... and in my opinion, that's probably WHY dirk went through with it and gave it to her after all that waffling back and forth. because he can't handle honest confrontation about his mental state, but on one level or another, he WANTS to be understood
so like, i think thats why jane and dirk's relationship is so interesting to me. they Understand each other and find comfort in that passive understanding. i think it's also part of why they both went steadily downhill when they... well they never fought over jake, because again these two idiots are too avoidant to have a direct confrontation about it, but they certainly let that whole situation drive a wedge between them which resulted in both of them feeling even more isolated despite roxy's desperate efforts to hold the entire disaster gang together
man.... i just think about the alpha kids a lot........

literally I was watching someone's playthrough of pesterquest as it was being released, and I almost finished it, but then I got spoiled for the fact that Ult Dirk shows up, and it totally knocked me off the wagon. like I've had it in my head that eventually I'll go watch Dirk's content, but it's been so long since I watched everything else... by this point it'd be kinda disjointed to even do that.
also, I was weirdly irritated by MSPAR in pesterquest? I found them so charming in hiveswap, because they were characterized as kind of a bumbling, overeager and well intentioned traveler that just wanted to help. but in pesterquest they get all know-it-all ish... it's reeeeeeally off putting. like I could forgive them being confused or disheartened, but they went a step too far and got all cynical and been-there-done-that, and gave a lot of advice that just wasn't good? as if they were some sort of expert or something. it makes pesterquest kind of irritating because you play as an irritating audience surrogate character who does shit that you don't actually want to do.
like, okay, Eridan's route, right? at the end, the advice MSPAR gave was basically "stop being an asshole" which is like... warranted and fair? but first of all, this Eridan needs different advice than homestuck's Eridan! and second, would a real asshole actually take advice like that? it's so... basic.
Eridan is a character that I'm not super attached to, but I get peeved when people get him wrong. in homestuck, the thing that Eridan needs, is to realize that if he wants something from another person, he has to try not to be a leech about it. everything is all about his perspective all the time. when he wants something, he'll ask, but if he doesn't get it, he'll whine and beg, and if people get mad at him for doing that, he gets all self deprecating and bemoans how hopeless his situation is, and how much everyone hates him. like he'll literally annoy one person into getting fed up with him, just so he can go cry to another person about his problems, and ask them for advice that he probably won't even take, because getting attention was the point, and this is technically what he wanted anyway. and the more people catch on and get frustrated, the more fuel he has for his "everybody hates me" pity party.
and the interesting thing about Eridan is that all of this probably comes from a real worry that nobody could like him, even if he tried. I mean, most of his friends are lower on the hemospectrum, and have a systemic reason to hold some sort of resentment towards him. so like, he probably likes Feferi because the two make an appropriate match class-wise... but he also probably likes her because she's his only friend that is more privileged than he is, so she can't hold his status against him.
also, pesterquest leans into that old fanon thing where Eridan is indiscriminately desperate and will date anyone. like... no! originally, Eridan specifically wanted to fill all of his quadrants! he wanted a matesprit (Feferi), a kismesis (Vriska), an auspistice (Kanaya), and a moirail (possibly Karkat). and not only that, but he wanted these specific people to fill these specific roles for him unconditionally and without conflict, in spite of their actual feelings. Feferi doesn't want to date him... she doesn't even really want to be his moirail because she's doing all the emotional labor and it's exhausting. and Kanaya had a red crush on Vriska at the time... the last thing she wants is to be auspistice-zoned! meanwhile, Vriska is becoming less and less interested in Eridan anyway because she's got her own unhealthy fascinations with certain people. so like, Kanaya wouldn't even be acting as a proper auspistice anyway... she wouldn't be helping to calm a volatile rivalry, she'd be trying to force a lackluster relationship to continue. that's like, the opposite of how it's supposed to be!
literally the only one of these that might've worked is Karkat as his moirail, because Karkat is amazing at giving advice, and dealing with difficult people's bullshit without getting sucked into too much drama. but like... that's probably the one relationship out of all of these that started from genuine charisma between two people, rather than Eridan deciding who he wanted to pursue based on a checklist of socially advantageous qualities. at least with that, it's implied that Karkat also likes talking to Eridan... like, both of them are getting something out of this. in all other cases, Eridan isn't even in it for the romance. he's in it to gain validation by living up to a societal standard.
it's only after our 12 trolls end up on the meteor after their SGRUB session that Eridan starts getting all weird about dating people other than the specific four he was already interested in. and that's specifically because there are now only 12 trolls left that exist. these people are the only ones left, so if he can't get a relationship to work with any of them, that's that. so basically, when pesterquest characterizes him this way, even though he still lives on a fully populated Alternia... why is he acting like that?
Eridan needs to learn how to actually put something into a relationship that he wants to get something out of. and to do that, he needs to believe that he has value beyond his status, and that it's possible for people to be motivated by more than class politics and spite. he treats people exploitatively because he expects them to try and exploit him just as badly... it's not just about fixing bad behavior. it's about him learning to put in work, and give another person reasons to like him, without feeling like a sucker for conceding any ground. the more defensive he gets, the worse he is.
and pesterquest messed up Jake's route too! what is it about hope players that stumps people like this?? I get that Jake is tricky, but jeez... I won't get into it as much, but Jake is always masking what he really feels, and the way his route handles him makes him seem like he's acting equally neutrally friendly to each of the other alpha kids. but then it implies that his true feelings are that he considers all three of his friends' romantic interest in him to be equally serious, and equally unwanted. that is... blatantly untrue. he knows Roxy might find him attractive but won't make a genuine move on account of Jane. she literally drunkenly told him so. and Roxy also drunkenly told Jake that Jane likes him. meanwhile, he also pretty much knows that Dirk had a crush on him when they were kids, but back then he kind of shut it down, or at least sent mixed signals, because he wasn't confident about having a crush on a boy. now Dirk himself is not confident that Jake actually likes him, and is trying to back off because he feels like his younger self was overly aggressive, but the AR is still as brazen as Dirk used to be when pursuing Jake, so it kind of undermines that attempt. still, Jake feels like he might've already come off poorly to Dirk. he does like him though... and he knows that Jane has a crush on him, and doesn't want to be the one who disappoints her, so he weasels his way out of addressing it. that is the deal with the alpha kids. not Jake just kind of bemoaning the fact that all of his friends are in love with him and he's not down for anything. so once again, we see a pesterquest route written on the basis of mistaken assumptions.
sorry for going on and on and on... I just find all of this so frustrating. half the characters are only the fan interpretations of themselves, and MSPAR sucks, and the meta is confusing, and... I wish it was good but it's not.
I love you for this ask anon, I never played friendsim but I did see a lot of people who tuned into all the friendsims express annoyance over the way Reader was portrayed in pesterquest. I can't even remember what happened in the Jake route bc I'm tired but it definitely could've been better.
Imo, best alpha kid routes go from: Roxy, Jane, Jake, and Dirk (half his route wasn't even dedicated to him lol rip)

Homesquared Chapter 14 part b
Alright time for more reactions to Homesqaured- oh jeezus
the last one of these I did was from october last year, hoo boy alright brain time to get back on the time train things are happening fast
we last left off with me thinking they just fucking hilled Harry but I remembered the wrong house so Harrys fine, John not so much
Yeah, John sad but ooh Karkat shows up!
They seem to have a mutual conversation about lost youth and stuff, really makes these characters feel oold
“JOHN: jeez, i'm sorry karkat.
JOHN: i had no idea how much time had passed.
JOHN: i must have gotten a bit distracted by my house being blown up.“
Oh man, John thats a whole ass MOOD
lol at sburb allocated blow job
yeah Karkats right tho, John does kind of need a kick in the pants to see how he might have been useful here, but Johns still stuck in this rut of not seeing anything around him as Real real, so hes blind to all of the consequences of inaction
John its called derealization and depersonalization, you can get help for that yknow
But I mean, cant really blame him, hes being smothered by the fires of Doom all around him
Its interesting to see that Karkat, a Blood player, is more comfortable navigating through things that constrain them and tie them down, since constraint is something Blood and Doom have in common, Chains and Barriers and Laws and etc
Whereas John the Breath player, just gets bogged down, hes totally out of his element
so it ends up being like John: “Id like to cling to some funny moments of my youth pls and try to lighten the situation up a bit because I cant do anything when so heavy”
versus Karkat being like: “BUCKLE UP FUCK TITS THIS SHIT IS YOUR LIFE NOW GETS USED TO WADING KNEE DEEP IN THE SHIT LIKE THE REST OF US GROWN ASS ADULTS”
John: ):
Hmm, both Vriskas have been captured, but Annie basically rescued herself, knowing Vriska Prime she probably has a plan or an idea about that, see well see how that goes
“KARKAT: JANE'S PLAN FOR THIS CONFLICT HAS THUS FAR CONSISTED ALMOST ENTIRELY OF KIDNAPPING VARIOUS HIGH PROFILE CHILDREN.
KARKAT: IT'S BIZARRE.
KARKAT: AS THOUGH WE ARE FIGHTING A WAR OF ATTRITION, WHERE THE MAIN RESOURCE BEING UTILIZED IS THE OFFSPRING OF THE MOST POWERFUL PEOPLE ON THE PLANET.KARKAT: IF IT WASN'T ONE OF THE CORE TENETS OF HER FASCISTIC PHILOSOPHY, I'D BE TEMPTED TO SAY THAT CURBING REPRODUCTION MIGHT HAVE BEEN A GOOD IDEA, IF ONLY TO PREVENT THIS KIND OF FUCKSHIT NONSENSE FROM HAPPENING.
Oh. Well I guess that was Dirk’s “plans” for Jane all along. Obviously he was using Jane as a vehicle to gather “players” for his eventually next session, interesting
But who has Jane kidnapped in total thus far?
Does Tavros count? he was certainly trapped with her for some amount of his life, but I dont know if that counts as a kidnapping, John certainly tried to kidnap HIM though from the epilogues
Annie certainly counts as being kidnapped
Vrissy has JUST been captured so that counts, and Harry so far is still fine
Which bodes so well for Harry’s future Im sure
Yeah, Vriska should have been able to not outwit any capture attempts, but my guess is either Vrissy got capture and Vriska dove in, OR, Vriska’s doing an inside job so to speak and got caught on purpose, dragging Vrissy along as well
I guess we’ll see when we see their “prison”
Anyway John, don’t get so down on yourself, you’re just ignorant to everythiong around you! thats why nothing makes sense and you can’t connect to anything, easy fix! Just try to learn more and care more about stuff lol
Man does this feel like a strong metaphor between people who are into/care about politics and people who feel like they can’t get into it though
Crossing that hurdle from one side to the other is rough
“KARKAT: BUT NOTICING THE PROBLEM AND MAKING MEANINGFUL PROGRESS TOWARDS SOLVING IT ARE TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THINGS.”
yup
man, this is all feeling startlingly relevant to the current times, I should have read this sooner
“ KARKAT: PLEASE DO NOT TELL ME YOU JUST HAD ANOTHER EMOTION THAT WE NEED TO DROP EVERYTHING IN ORDER TO DISSECT. “
hah, oh wow, Karkat when you phrase it like that, it’s almost as if you’ve become self aware of your tendencies to Moirail people out of their problems
Not really that out of character for a Blood player to end up being the Therapy Friend though lol
Just don’t burn yourself out on that though
JOHN: karkat, we still haven't spoken about *you*!
KARKAT: ABOUT ME?
JOHN: yes.
KARKAT: ABOUT *ME*?
JOHN: about you.
KARKAT: WHAT THE FUCK ABOUT ME.
JOHN: well...
JOHN: you know, how you feel!
KARKAT: HOW I FEEL.
I know Karkat has probably matured past misunderstandings like this now given he’s really come into a great understanding of his Blood aspect, but by golly do I wish Karkat would misunderstand this as John’s attempts to be Moirail-reciprocal sdkjfhwlijebr
What a perfect way to continue their relationship, on top of more misconstrued romance quadrants XD
Spades is old Hat, Diamonds are in now babey
Oh
this started out funny, but Karkat’s emotional rant just ended up being depressing not funny ):
Tumblr media
I have to say though, it is REALLY interesting to see John’s depression manifesting in a very breathy sort of way
Karkat in these panels was more closer together, connected, but as John gets more and more depressed over the course of Karkat’s rant when he realizes Karkat doesn’t know dave died, the panels get seperated by lines of blue, and slowly drift off away from John and from eachother
but thats basically been hows its been manifesting all along
the more John feels Disconnected and Seperate from the reality he finds himself in, the more he finds his will untethered, the more depressed and unable to act he gets
and right now its so much so that even a fuller fledged Blood player is having trouble grounding him back down
I don’t know, I always viewed the depression metaphor as a dark watery void to sink into and feels heavy and encapsulating (but probably thats just my Light-y interpretation of it)
so its interesting to see the depression metaphor as this floating disconnection instead, so much that it leans towards derelaization/depersonalistion/dissociation as well
I wonder if John will start dealing with bouts of actual full blown dissociation as this gets worse?
I mean, Breath aspect has given the literal ability to ghost around wherever he pleases in all other ways, why not literally and physcologically as well?
So John seems to be fully overembracing his aspect here, to a very unhealthy degree here, which I see you asking “aha Dahni, but hes doesn’t have overblown self esteem here, quite the opposite, is this not an inverted state instead? or something else because hes acting like hes inverting to Breath?”
and I say not so! reader, for overembracing is the idea that through your aspect, your will is overwriting the wills of others, and in someone like Vriska, this manifests in a very selfish and over self esteemed way
but is not John’s will overwriting Karkat’s here? Through Breath? And isnt John also being a little selfish here? Considering how he feels about things, more important than how anyone else feels? How Karkat feels?
John is too dissociated to understand that this reality is Real and has Consequences he needs to care about, and Karkat is trying to fight against that, trying to instill his belief that no, this shit is real and it Matters Why Don’t You Care, trying to ground him, trying to give him that dose of Blood he needs
but John’s overembracing Breath is just, blowing that all away, its becoming too strong
Roxy in the epilogues dealt with this as well, when John was really in the shits with it and started to believe Roxy’s whole personality was somehow fake and his own construction, because he convinced himself Roxy would never choose to do the things she did, but Roxy was able to snap him out of it and make him understand and respect it was her own choices that led down his path, not the idea that John’s choices are somehow overriding everyones
But man, John sure is riding that Breath train way too hard, and he keeps snapping back into it as well
