Gia in a Bottle

“Why are you here?” Gia snatched the door open.

“Baby, this is Wreck’s house not yours, excuse me.” Najaah walked right in with no invitation. “I see why he constantly crawlin’ back to me every damn second,” she laughed.

“You and every other bitch out here, you not special. Get out.”

This was Gia’s first time seeing the infamous Najaah in person. They’d even argued over the phone before. Najaah was dressed up and looking ready to fuck somebody’s nigga in her short ass skirt and high heels, probably for Wreck.

Gia felt slightly insecure because she was wearing sweat pants, one of Wreck’s shirts and her hair was sticking up on top of her head. What pissed her off more was the fact that she knew where Wreck’s house was in the first place, meaning his sneaky ass brought this hoe there.

“Oooh, that hurt,” Najaah said, sarcastically. “Now, where Rushon? I didn’t come here to have no fuckin’ girl talk with his bitch…”

“He’s not here, so get the fuck out.”

“Or?”

“Really? What are we five? I said get the fuck out!”

“Tell Rushon I stopped by…” Najaah looked Gia up and down with disgust. “If you wasn’t lookin’ like a hobo you would be a lil cute too, but so damn naïve, I can tell. What a waste.”

“You would no waste, wouldn’t you? What is it Wreck said?” Gia tapped her finger on her chin. “I ain’t went raw in that bitch since she let half the West Side run up in her. Shit felt like garbage, but it was familiar trash…now, if that’s what you want so bad, you go find him and tell him whatever the fuck your damn self. I fortunately know my worth and won’t no nigga ever be able to pillow talk on me like that, then I come to the woman who didn’t have to do shit for his attention, begging for his whereabouts. Cute, naw, don’t let this relaxation fool you, I’m beautiful ask Wreck. And naïve? Never. Bye bye now!” she slammed the door in her face, missing Najaah’s nose by an inch.

Gia watched Najaah on the security camera stand there and the hurt look on her face almost made Gia feel bad. She never was the type to down a black woman over a man but Najaah wouldn’t stop. She didn’t even know where that came from. Wreck was turning her into someone she couldn’t recognize.

When she finally saw her get in the car and speed off, she ran upstairs for her phone. She couldn’t call his stinking ass fast enough.

“What’s wrong, G?”

“Then you have the nerve to answer this FUCKING phone all normal sounding. Bring your ass home right now!”

“You kicked me out my own shit.”

“And you still not welcome here but please, do make an appearance today because I want all the smoke! You really think I’m this quiet ass fuckin mouse ass person Wreck. I really think you want me to turn up on you!”

“G,” he laughed. He didn’t mean to but her being mad just was funny. She always tried to sound like Chi. “What happened?”

“Your precious Najaah came here looking for you!”

“How it’s my fault she came there? I told you I don’t fuck with her like that, I only help with her daughter.”

Najaah supposedly had a daughter by some nigga who was serving a life sentence. Wreck as always not knowing how to tell the heifer no, decided to be captain save a hoe and help Najaah out with her baby. At first Gia thought he was lying about it, thinking the child was really his until she saw the little girl. Still, she didn’t like the situation at all.

“So you weren’t dropping dick off at her door along with money?”

“I’m not gon’ answer that.”

“Wreck we are done. I don’t want this life, I don’t want your drama and I do not want you.”

“Ard.” Wreck had heard that a million times.

“What…ard?!”

“Yea, man…look I gotta go, I’m doing some shit right now. I’ll call you in a lil while.”

When the phone disconnected Gia broke down. She didn’t understand why he was like this. If he was wrong, he’d make her feel like she did something. All of that, and he so easily agreed to let her go. She called Avery.

“Hey, G—hold on real fast…River! Put it down…NOW! Lake! Come get your child before I fight her ass! Who gave you—you know what? I’ma let your dad deal with you, I do not have time…hello?”

“Yea, A, I’m here.”

“Is everything okay? Why you sound like that?”

“I…” Gia couldn’t even make a word out before she burst out crying.

“G, are you okay?”

“No…he…I don’t know what’s wrong with him.”

“Give me one hour, Gia. I am coming over there,” Avery said then hung up.

Gia sat on the floor leaned up against the bed picking up the bottle of Caymus. Her heart felt like it was breaking as she laid there. She didn’t know when or how long she was asleep but some time later she was being snatched up and Wreck checking her body all over.

“What are you doing? Get off of me!”

“The fuck you not answering your phone for?!”

“Gia…” Avery hugged her. “You didn’t see me calling you? I was knocking and everything for like an hour.”

Avery came there and Gia didn’t answer the door. She got worried and called Wreck telling him she had just talked to her and she was upset but now wasn’t answering the phone.

“I…I fell asleep.”

“You sleep like that cause you got a fuckin’ drinking problem!” Wreck kicked the empty bottles on the floor.

“I WONDER THE FUCK WHY!”

“What is happening?” Avery held Gia back from fucking Wreck up.

“He is a lying cheating bitch!”

“Yo, you are the fuck crazy. When the fuck did I cheat on you?”

“So your bitch just shows up here for no reason?”

“Bro, fuck her!”

“You see how he acts like nothing is a big deal, Avery? This is what I have to put up with. Help me pack my stuff please.”

“You not goin’ nowhere, bro. A get the fuck out.”

“No, Avery, don’t go anywhere, give me five minutes, you can take me with you.” Gia stormed in the closet getting all her stuff. Everything she was putting in her bag, Wreck was taking it all back out. “GET OFF!” she started pounding on his back. “I can’t stand you!”

“I don’t know what to do,” Avery said, standing at the door watching them fight. She didn’t know all of this went on between them. She knew they argued but this was something else. Gia looked crazy and Wreck seemed familiar with all of it. Like he dealt with her drunkenness often.

“Do you see what I have to go through?” Gia asked Avery with tears in her eyes. “I have to deal with cheating, lying, he won’t let me leave! He has Roddy watching me! I had to take off work Avery! He is helping that bitch take care of her daughter--”

“You knew that! You act like I be over there chillin’ and shit! I give her money and that’s it! Tell Avery why you really had to take time off work!”

“LIAR!” Gia started punching him. Wreck was significantly taller so she was jumping up to try and hit him in the face. Avery covered her mouth not believing what she was seeing.

“Maybe we can go get some air,” Avery suggested.

“Naw, I said you can get the fuck out, A. I got her, she just need a nap.”

“I’m not a child! I don’t need shit but to be away from you!”

“Gia, I think he’s right,” Avery said, staring at her friend who was clearly drunk. “Just sleep it off and when you wake up if you still want to leave I’ll come back and get you.”

“I want to leave now.”

“Go head, A, she not going nowhere.”

Avery just stood there not knowing who to listen to, Wreck or Gia. She didn’t want her friend to be mad at her but Wreck seemed to know how to deal with her in this state.

“Avery here, take my bag,” Gia handed the empty duffle to her. Wreck looked at Avery like you see what the fuck I’m talkin’ bout?

“Go head, A, she cool.”

“YOU PIECE OF SHIT!” Gia went off on Wreck again and he simply ignored her. “You turn everybody against me!” she staggered.

“Go lay down, bro,” Wreck pointed to the bed.

“No, fuck you!”

“Gia, go lay down.”

“I’m sick of this, just let me go home.”

“You are home, come on,” Wreck grabbed her arm taking her to the bed. He pushed her down and she tried to get back up and he did it again. “JUST GO THE FUCK TO SLEEP! I got shit to do and you always on this bullshit!”

“I hate you!” Gia pushed him away and slammed herself down putting the covers over her head.

“Whatever bro, don’t get the fuck back up!”

“Then tell your hoes not to come over here! I wasn’t bothering a soul!”

“I ain’t got no hoes but you!”

“Kiss my black ass Wreck!”

Wreck dug under the covers pulling her pants down and bit her butt cheek. Avery covered her mouth cracking up because what in the dysfunction?

“Stop playing!” Gia yelped, rolling to the other side. “Come on, Avery, you can lay with me.” She held the covers up for her to get in.

Avery looked at her then turned to Wreck who simply shook his head. She didn’t want to leave her friend while she was so vulnerable so she kicked her shoes off and cuddled next to Gia.

When Gia woke up, the strong arms wrapped around her did not belong to Avery. Still, she found the most comfort in them as always.

“Where did Avery go?”

“She left.”

They laid in silence for awhile, both thinking about their own demons as well as the relationship they chose to be in with one another. Gia was Wreck’s sanctuary no matter the condition and he was her rock.

“You gotta chill off this shit, G. Every fuckin’ day you drunk.”

“You’re exaggerating.”

“Am I?”

“Do you still love her?”

“Who?”

“Do not play with me.”

“No, I don’t love her no more.”

“Are you sleeping with her?”

“No.”

“Are you lying?”

“No.”

“Do you think I have a problem?”

“I do but we all got problems. You accept all my shit so I accept yours.”

“Wreck I don’t want to be like this,” Gia cried. “I feel so bad.”

“I know,” he said, pulling her even closer, kissing the back of her neck. Wreck really loved Gia and nobody knew the extent of how bad her drinking had become. It was a running joke but he dealt with shit like this on a regular basis. “We gon’ fix it, ard?”

“How?”

“I’ma take you to some AA meetings or some shit.”

“No...”

“Then what can we do, G? You can’t keep drinkin’ like this. You gon’ fuck around and mess your liver up and shit.”

“Maybe...I can see Dr. Pie.”

“Another one down,” Wreck said and Gia laughed.

They always talked about how Dr. Pie had his whole family making her a millionaire because that’s how much was wrong with them.

“Seriously though, if you think that will help then I’m all for it.”

“You will come with me?”

“Hell no.”

“Wreck...”

“I don’t like that shit. I’m not into talkin’ to muhfuckas about my feelings and shit.”

“You talk to me.”

“That’s cause you my bitch and you showed me the real you.”

“And I have yet to meet Rushon.”

“Lies.”

“Then let’s talk about your dad, or how about your mom?” Gia suggested and Wreck got silent. “Exactly.” He would only open up to her but so much. Wreck had seen her flaws and all though. “If you don’t go with me then I’m not doing it.”

“So you wanna be an alcoholic for the rest of your life?”

“No but I want to do this with the person I love supporting me.”

“You just tryna trick me into some shit, I already know.”

“I’m not,” Gia laughed. “How about this, you go with me to therapy and I will go to AA?”

“How many times I gotta go?”

“Three.” Gia turned over staring into his dark low eyes. She stroked his handsome face. “Let’s help each other.”

“Ard. For you, I’ll do it.”

Good day everyone~! This week’s Comic Tea Party is now officially beginning~! Today we are discussing Super Galaxy Knights Deluxe R by snuffysam~! It's hard to pick out any one scene. I rather liked the "Boxing Match", both for the pun and the dynamic gif animation stuff really came into it's own. I was first impressed by it with the apple from the tree.

Favorite scene. HMM. I really liked the battle with king Zebugu, quite honestly. He's such a gigantic ass, BUT I can't help but love how Mizuki took what everyone else saw as a weakness and beat his sorry butt all over the place.

QUESTION 2. During the course of Book 1, it becomes more apparent that magic is a key component of combat in the larger setup of the world. Thus, Mizuki takes a keen interest in learning it. Do you think Mizuki will be able to unlock her unique ability, or is there a reason that prevents her from learning? What do you think her unique magical ability might be? Alternatively, is her unique ability to use the abilities of others? If Mizuki continues to be unable to learn magic, how do you think she’ll adapt to this fact? Speaking of magic, though, Cahe does find a unique ability of his own during an intense fight to save Pejiba. Do you think Cahe will develop the skill more? Or, is it possible Cahe will struggle without the intense emotional motivation to manifest his magic?
