Stuck (Again) Octo!König Part 2

Here we go, part 2. A bit of a darker but still as adorable König. This ended up three times the length of part 1 and I'm considering a part 3 if y'all want it :)

Part 1 - Stuck Part 3 - Unstuck Part 4 - Stranded

On the journey back to base you noticed that König was still bleeding, while it was slower than in his human form it was soaking through your shirt. At some point you were going to have to treat him but you had no experience in aquatic shifters and seeing as it wasn’t in his file, you doubted the Kortac medics knew more than you. Of course, priority number one was to get him unattached from you,

“König, you’re still bleeding. You gotta let go so I can figure out how bad it is.” Gently you try to pry his tentacles off but every time you get one and move onto the next he just re-attaches it,

“König! You need to let go now!” you resort to scolding and annoying him in the hope that something will work, “You need medical attention you stubborn ass, let go or shift back.” Emphasising each word with a poke to his face.

A staring contest with an octopus was not on your to-do list for today. But for the last hour it’s the only thing you’ve accomplished. Everyone else has been seen to, all patched up and every joke about your new accessory ignored, even the paperwork has been finished. You needed a plan and you needed to know more about octopuses.

Firing up everyone’s best research tool, Google, you delve into the world of an octopus. Learning that their tentacles are actually arms and that they taste with them; that they have a beak; three hearts and that they can lose and regrow their arms. The last fact seemed the most important to you, it meant you didn’t have to be gentle in pulling him off you. But first you tried something a little less rough, getting into the shower. Figuring that he had to be feeling a little dried out you opted to get under the water and hoped it would encourage hum to pull off. It took some persistence but after about ten minutes and with some more, slightly rougher prodding, König eventually detached himself from your chest,

“There we go, that wasn’t so hard now was it?” you gently splash some water over him and watch as he rolls around, throwing it all over the place.

After a while of playing and laughing at the small octopus’s antics you made a move to get up as your wet clothes were getting uncomfortable but the movement startled König,

“hey, no, sorry buddy. I didn’t mean to scare you,” you’re reaching forward to pick him up when it happens, “ No, König come back!” he scurries off, faster than you thought he could and by the time you’ve slipped your way through the shower bank, he’s gone.

In the weeks following on base, you only ever saw König out of your peripheral. Always lingering but with no interaction. And then Kortac were called out. Months went by with no sign of him but every week you learned a little more about him. Taking aquatic hybrid first aid courses, researching more about octopuses and their hybrid types. Learning that they were solitary animals explained a lot for you and it was in your first aid courses that you learned how rare an octopus hybrid is. Most female octopus hybrids die after giving birth, it's something they have in common with the animal counterpart, so they mostly live isolated lives with only other females for company and it’s the males that keep the genetics going by taking a human partner.

The day König returned to your life was a bad day. You slept through your alarm and missed parade, your supply delivery was missing nearly everything you’d ordered, drowning in paperwork meant you missed lunch and to top it all off, it had not stopped raining. So when you heard the shouts outside the infirmary you nearly burst into tears. Instead your door burst open and six men rushed in carrying König. Time froze, you could no nothing but stare at him, at the cuts, burns, the pole sticking out of his arm. The blue blood covering the room in seconds. In reality you were already screaming orders and reaching for your fully stocked aquatic first aid kit. Something that had never been used, something that you had only gotten for him even though he wasn’t your responsibility.

Hours passed; marked by vital checks, medicine doses and dressing changes. Hours passed and König remained unconscious, too exhausted to even trigger his body’s defences and shift into his smaller, more durable form. Hours turned to days. Days that were marked by the cold cups of tea left undrunk, the smell of antiseptic burning its way into your skin, the cold of his hand under yours. You had vowed to not move until you were sure he’d heal. Until he shifted and you could carry him with you.

Eight days passed in this manner. You as quiet as him, only your breathing and the machines made noise in the room. That’s when it happened, the heart rate monitor alarmed, the oxygen meter, everything in the room was going off but all you could do was stare at him. Now dwarfed in the bed was König, seven and a half arms, bright orange, and awake. And trying to run away,

“Oh no you don’t.” You snatch him up from the edge and immediately pull him to your chest, “Not this time buddy, you’re missing half an arm and even if you weren’t you lost so much blood I looked like a smurf!” sensing that he wasn’t getting away, you watched with a fond smile as he squirmed his way under your shirt and returned to his favourite spot.

“Right, now that you’re out of danger and awake lets get some food first. Crab or shrimp?” You asked the little guy, giving him a pet on the head and chuckling as he lets out a series of clicks.

Walking into the mess hall meant you were rushed by every Kortac soldier there,

“Is he okay?” “Can we see him?” “Will he survive?”

While not a very sociable person, König was well respected as a soldier and commander. The lower ranks looked up to him and idolised him.

“He’s fine, he’s doing a lot better but he needs some more monitoring. I’m sure you can all see him soon.” You let them all know that you’ll tell him they were asking and pass on their get well soon messages before heading through to the kitchen and to the freezer at the back which held the specially ordered food for hybrids with dietary requirements.

Dinner was interesting. If anyone was watching you they were going to think they were hallucinating as they watched you drop bits of crab down your top. The few sounds König made were quite, small pops and low whistles that only you could hear and you hoped it meant he was enjoying the food. In between feeding him you fed yourself and eventually it was time for to head back, König needed more medicine and you wanted to check for infections after your little excursion.

“On the bed please, I gotta grab your medicine.” Expectedly holding out your hand for him to climb onto as you pull down your shirt but he doesn’t move, “König, sweetheart, move.” More prodding, more pulling, all id did was leave you with little sucker shaped bruises.

“König, I swear to god I’m not doing this again. Get on the bed. Maybe, if you behave- we can go in the shower again” Bargaining was your last resort, you couldn’t check him over if he was still attached to you.

Slowly you watched as König’s arms moved, one at a time, to pull him up your body. Pulling harder at your skin than he had before to leave marks up your neck before eventually settling on your throat with his arms wrapped around your neck. Your protests were short lived as the second you opened your mouth he squeezed a little tighter, not relaxing until you stopped trying to speak altogether.

Your night continued like this, paperwork was done with the occasional ink drip, talking to patients was done with as few words as possible, bending over wasn’t comfortable and your top ended up soaking anyway as König dumped your wattle bottle over himself and then demanded more with whistles increasing in pitch as you refused. As you signed the last report you tried once more to get him off,

“You’ve had your fun König but I’m tired. I want to go to bed and you need medication so plea-“ your words are cut off by a harsh squeeze that takes your breath away. Louds clicks punctuated by the slapping of tentacles against your skin fill your ears before eventually you’re allowed to breathe again. Taking the hint, you make your way to the shower before bed, promising yourself that tomorrow you’ll find a way to get him unstuck.

Hi there lovelies! Lia here and I'd love to share the some creators that have so far been feeding me with amazing content and I'd love for you and them to know how I feel about their works so there is a bit of commentary (feel free to ignore if you're only here for recs). They are all from different fandoms and I genuinely love their works. I am not here to hate on anyone at all, simply here to bring attention to those creators I find worth reading. In fact I actually don't do negative commentary. (If I do, it's probably towards my life 😭)

This will be constantly edited if I find more creators that I loved within each fandoms. I'm sorry to all the creators I've probably bothered with this notification, if you want to be taken off this list then I will respect that and do so :))

I will respectively use the pronouns these people have provided in their bios and if they do not have it in their bios then I'll simply use they/them <3

CoD Creators

@frogchiro - This creator is more likely known for the absolutely scrumptious CoD hybrid AUs. MY GOD EVERY SINGLE ONE OF HER AUs ARE JUST ON ANOTHER LEVEL. Ranging from Hacker girl!Reader to Baracks Bunny!Reader. (Octo König and Coyote Graves are personal faves of mine) (Her nsfw content is the most toe curling shit I've ever read)

@ghouljams - This creator is another known for their CoD AUs, only this time you may know them as the one who wrote the Cowboy and Medieval AUs. This person and @frogchiro actually got their inboxes mixed up a few times I believe, they're both really just that good, I clearly need pointers. (I honestly don't have much words because god do I eat their content up)

@wishesforyouo (previous account being: @puff0o0) - This lovely creator makes short but sweet CoD content, you may recognize her as the person who made the popular self-aware CoD AU. Definitely my cup of tea because I really like short reads from time to time. (Miss this AU, sweetie <3)

@blingblong55 - This creator loves to make me cry, idk why. I love her though, her nsfw content is also freaking delicious I can't even.

@xo-cod - This creator, I can't even begin. I just love their writing style, it's sweet, quite short and worth the read. (We also have the same name)

@lunarw0rks - This creator makes me wanna bang my head on a table with how good their Ghost content is.

@ceilidho - This creator I can't even begin to describe how fucking delicious the Ghost content is, idgaf if it's short (IT'S PERFECT). Like my god, how'd y'all come up with content that you do. I think she captures Ghost quite well in her writing.

@mistydeyes - This creator, my fucking god. Her content is so good especially the requests she gets. The overall vibe of her writing gives a specific aesthetic that I love so much and honestly their series is worth the freaking read. Series mentioned here, the writing style is so unique but captures the characters perfectly.

@wordstome - This creator made the GREATEST FUCKING FRIENDS TO LOVERS KÖNIG FANFIC I HAVE EVER READ. It was all just so perfect, the length, the pacing and the writing style is fucking incredible. God where'd y'all get the talent to write this, here's the link to said fanfic because I do not gatekeep.

@multifandomimagin3s - This creator and the amount of Rudy content, I AM EATING IT UP. What do y'all feed yourselves to write with this amount of quality? Like their depiction of Rudy (and of course the others) is just Chef's kiss. (Also idk why but this person seems familiar since I remember someone in Wattpad a long time ago who has the same user)

@lxvvie - This creator creates the best fucking characterization I've ever read, LIKE HELLO?! Horangi is so accurate and her version of König is too. I love it, I'm eating her content up.

@rustic-guitar-notes - This creator I wanted tag this Creator so bad on this creator list because I feel like they're so underappreciated and their works are so good, LIKE IT'S ALWAYS THE UNDERAPPRECIATED WORKS THAT ARE SO GOOD THEY MAKE YOU FEEL WHAT YOU NEED AND WANT TO FEEL.

@icarustypicalfall - This creator is mutuals with almost every single one of my fave mutuals and that's how I found them. MY GOD THE RUDY AND ALEJANDRO CONTENT?? I'M EATING THAT SHIT UP.

@skeletalgoats - This creator IS SO FREAKING UNDERATED, I FOUND MYSELF BINGING THIER WORKS AND IT IS SO GOOD AND YOU KNOW WHAT'S THE BEST THING? THEY HAVE MULTIPLE WORKS ON ROACH. Istg y'all, WE NEED MORE OF ROACH.

@ghosts-cyphera - This creator, HELLO MISS MA'AM? THE PS!GHOST AU?!?! SHE GOT ME THINKING OF IT ALL THE TIME NOW LIKE WHAT DOES SHE PUT IN HER WRITING TO MAKE IT SO GOOD. First of all I'm in love with her version of Ghost because he's just so fucking caring despite the sexual themes, SHE MANAGED TO MAKE A PORNSTAR AU WITH DOMESTIC AND ROMANTIC ASPECTS WITHOUT MAKING IT FEEL SHALLOW AND SUPERFICIAL, LIKE HOW? What kind of food are y'all eating to create the content you guys feed us readers with?

@halcyone-of-the-sea - This creator has their own aesthetic and vibe when it comes to the writing. OMG I CAN'T EVEN BEGIN WITH THE WRITING STYLE, IT'S SO GOOD AND DETAILED. NOT MENTION SHE HAS QUITE A LOT OF POPULAR WORKS THAT I BINGED LIKE THERE WAS NO TOMORROW.

@azereus - This creator, I CAN'T EVEN LIKE WHY SO CRIMINALLY UNDERATED? THEIR WRITING IS LITERALLY SO GOOD AND DESERVES SO MUCH BETTER THAN THE ATTENTION IT'S GETTING. NOT ONLY THAT BUT I'VE READ THEIR WORK OVER AND OVER AGAIN.

@peachesofteal - This creator, OH MY FUCKING GOD, THE WRITING IS A GODSEND. I FINISHED HER WHOLE SERIES "LIGHT ON" IN LESS THAN AN HOUR AND NOW I'M CRAVING MORE. HOLY SHIT IT WAS SO FUCKING GOOD. "MY GIRLS"?!?! GOT ME SO BAD, MY FUCKING HEART IS EXPLODING.

@drop-cherries - this creator brought me back on this list. You all must be saying "Lia you haven't updated this is so long, it must be some scrumptious ass work you've seen". DAMN WELL IT'S GOOD, got me in my feels and everything, needed that domestic life with Simon after so much nsfw content, I need breaks too y'all. Although I did like that one nsfw post earlier, if you saw that, no you didn't :). They are so criminally underrated too so go check them out, from one creator to another, they seem so freaking talented and I love using my platform to help you guys reach other creators too, who hardly get enough attention for something they worked hard on :>

TLOU Creators

@elliesbelle - This creator is top of this list for a reason, their content is the most scrumptious, drama-filled fanfics I have ever read. And yes I'm referring to their series "Nobody Compares To You". I can't even begin to say how much I love this creator, if I wasn't broke then I'd would've already tipped them. I personally think she captures Ellie's personality well. I appreciate a writer who implements shit that happen in her life into her stories. (Despite that, the amount of things happening in their love life is also some complicated shit that I love hearing updates from. Love ya belle <3) Me reading the belle's fanfic at 3am knowing damn well I have school the next day

@lovelettersfromluna - This creator is another amazing writer and holy hell are her works so good, like the length and writing style is just perfect. It's so compact yet it's not too long, add me on your ma'am taglist, please 🥺 <3

@seattlesellie - This creator, I just love her writing style especially with the knight!Ellie fic. Not to mention all the Abby content <3

@callmelola111 - This creator is another person to go to when looking for top tier Ellie fanfics, definitely worth the read on her works.

@clemellie - This creator AND WRITING TLOU SMUT IS A MATCH MADE IN HEAVEN OH MY GOD, first of all, the characterization of both Ellie and Abby are so top tier then there's the ungodly toe curling smut. She is worth the fucking read every time.

@papipedroo - This creator has made a a series on Joel Miller x Reader angst AND I CAN'T EVEN BEGIN TO SAY HOW GOOD IT WAS. THEY GOT ME CRYING AT 7 IN THE MORNING. I also adore the writing style and pacing, I genuinely could not wait for the next part because I NEED Joel to grovel. I DON'T EVEN CRUSH ON JOEL MILLER AND THEY GOT ME HOOKED SO BAD.

I've actually been thinking a lot about Louis and his story lately! Though, since drawing is rather taxing on me atm I haven't gotten around to making him a character study post.. Like I did for Cuttlefish.. BUT!! I have still made some story bits for him anyways! :DD 👇👇

I had this idea that he used to be an ordinary flavored cookie of some kind. And he used to live on land as this washed up fisherman that was really down on his luck.. he had lost his job, his home, his arm.. he had no friends.. no family.. nothing. He was really lost and alone..

Its around that time he was somehow welcomed aboard Seafoam's ship. It was just Seafoam, Octo and Ellie at the time. Louis found great comfort and security with this crew. He had never felt more welcome and wanted in his life.. This environment started to break down Louis' anxieties and depression overtime. Slowly turning him into the more jolly and boisterous Louis the crew knows him as today.

But things would take a seemingly bad turn when a curse befell Louis. Turning him into this half cookie, half crab beast. Louis' body had changed significantly, the biggest change being his huge crab arm. Now, most cookies would consider this ghastly new form to be what its intended to be. A curse.. But Louis.. actually didn't mind the changes. In fact, he liked his new body. Quite a lot! And though his new crab arm did cause him quite a bit of aches and pains.. and also took away his ability to swim.. he honestly considered it an upgrade!

Where before he had a missing arm and was completely useless in combat.. now he had this huge intimidating claw in its place! With his new found strength and power, he was a force to be reckoned with! Not only that, but he didn't see his new body as ugly, he thought he looked AWESOME! So he also got a major confidence boost too!

In present day, Louis is a confident, sociable, and all around happy person. And he gives all the credit to Seafoam and his crew for his new found zest for life! :}} ✨🦀💖✨

Anyways-- thank you for taking interest in Louis! :DD rn drawing is rather challenging for me, but I hope to draw him again someday soon! Maybe I can go back and make him his own character study post like I wanted to! 👀👀

I made my first post on December 19th, 2018!! :00 That's roughly 4-5 years or so!

I use FireAlpaca! And I use a xp-pen 13.3 pro tablet ✨✨

As for that Undyne and Papyrus post.. The story behind it is, that Papyrus is from a different timeline. And in his original timeline.. Undyne is dead.. Now, this other Undyne knows that her Papyrus, the "real" Papyrus, is somewhere else in the underground. So this Papyrus is an imposter. She questions this imposter. "Who are you, and why do you look like Papyrus?" She waits for this imposter to answer.. But Papyrus has no words.. since his Undyne died, he hasn't heard her voice in a very long time... he's too shocked to speak..

I DO have a YouTube channel, and I was intending to make animations for it... but I lost my drive. Animations get stolen A LOT. And Animations take a ton of time to make. I was discouraged.. why would I spend so much time on something, if its more likely to be stolen?

Though I have been thinking about making sketch animatic memes... maybe once my health improves I could try to make one-

As for Ludwig and Morton, unfortunately they don't have a lot of story built yet.. but I'm working on it! <:D

Ludwig is intended to be the eldest sibling, and heir to the throne. He's the "Prince of the Koopas". That post shows Ludwig seeming nervous.. and unsure. I'm experimenting with Ludwig taking his role as heir very seriously.. but its stressful. He feels like he's under a lot of pressure and has a loooot of responsibility to look forward to..

Though I'm kind'a going back on that a bit. The canon Ludwig seems pompous and a bit arrogant. Maybe I should keep some of that but in a positive way? I imagine that Bowser wouldn't force Ludwig to do this if he didn't want to. And I imagine that Kamek would have done very well to prepare Ludwig for his future kingly-hood.

What I mean by this is. I think a more.. confident, and level headed version of Ludwig would be appropriate. Rather than a pompous snob or a nervous wreck. He could be a young prince with a lot of wit and discipline. A price that is bound to make a fine king. 👑

For Morton I'm afraid there's even less story built for him 😭💔💔 Right now the main thing I'm experimenting with is Morton having some form of melanism. (Its a mutation where animals are born with excess pigment in their skin. Making their fur/hair/skin very dark/black when it otherwise would not have been.)

I could experiment with Morton not liking this aspect of himself..? Maybe it makes him feel out of place or insecure..? Though I doubt any of the individuals around him would have judged him or treated him differently at all for it.. even his siblings.

Idk, I just need some more time to think about him I suppose! <XDD Sorry!! 😭😭

No problem!! :D And I wonder that about K Rool. I didn't actually realize that he would be very similar to Bowser.. hmm. Well, I'm thinking that even if he is close to Bowser in size, Bowser's got him beat by his fire breathing ability XDD And King/Big Koopa's overall could just be a tougher species-

As for the Super Stars, they have about the same status as the 1-Up Mushrooms. They are this extremely rare Power up that seems to only show up when its needed.

I've been experimenting with the toad people worshiping 1-Ups and the Delfino people worshiping Super Stars. These bizarre and wonderous powerups that are strongly tied to the prophecy and what not. They're also related to how Peach and Daisy became royalty..

Its a lot of complicated word spaghetti atm but the point I'm getting at- is that there is definitely more than one! And they are so powerful and so.. seemingly sentient, that they are seen as almost.. like.. these holy beings that bring about future events.

I haven't rambled about all that biz yet becuase I cant find proper words to figure out what I'm even thinking <XD Gonna need some more time on that one!--

And yes yes yes! The Commander is still around, and AWWW!! Is he really?? :DD That's so sweet! Thank you so much!! :}} I haven't thought much about what role he's played in raising the Koopalings, though I really should. While he isn't there to actually help raise them, he's always been around as they've grown up. Whether it be following Kamek around or doing some kind of work around the palace.

When it comes to Bowser returning injured.. I wonder. part of me thinks that he wouldn't return right away, so maybe his injury wasn't seen by the Commander. But the news of his defeat would certainly be bone chilling. Commander would be more tense around the palace. And probably extends his night watches a bit longer in an attempt to better protect the Koopalings..

On the last note, Yes! I do plan to redesign him once again XD or at least update him a little- Though drawing is very challenging for me atm.. so that'll have to wait a while!.. <XDD

As for your questions! <XD --I've been thinking more about Tuna's character over the past few days and this got me thinking even more! :D

I imagined that when Tuna started out he was a real brat. Not super great to be around. He had some bottled up stuff for sure and was real rebellious and resistant to authority figures. Nobody was really willing to deal with his crap and always pushed back, which just made him more bratty.. for a while Seafoam wasn't sure what he was gonna do with this kid..

But then he reached some kind of middle ground with Ellie.

I have several ideas in mind for how this could go.. but I'll ramble about this one first- XDD

Ellie has thick skin and could tolerate the snarky remarks he made. She also didn't push back, even through she very easily could have. She knows that this kid has some serious inner battles and he doesn't need her snapping back at him.

And like some of the things you mentioned, it started out with Tuna just bumming around in the kitchen. Since Ellie could tolerate him she never kicked him out. Making the kitchen kind'a like a space where he could.. "get away" from the rest of the crew, in a sense..

Ellie was the first person to crack that outer shell of his. Providing him a consistent source of comfort, with her food and the quiet kitchen.

After some time the snarky remarks or comments would slow down.. over time he just resorts to standing around and watching her cook. Getting closer and closer.. eventually asking questions. "What are ye makin..?" "..what's that do..?" She would always reply genuinely. And as gently as she could considering her usual monotone voice <XD

Eventually it turns into "..where'd you learn to cook?" "..how long have you known Octo..?" "..do you trust Cuttlefish.?"

She could say kind things about the crew which gets Tuna to lighten up around them. "Octo seems mean but actually he's just blah blah blah..." Next time he interacts with Octo he's less tense. "Seafoam is genuinely as kind as he seems. If ye can trust anyone, its him." He starts listening to Seafoam more..

These interactions would continue to develop more and more. I don't know if he'd ever be able to help her cook anything- considering how strict she is about it <XDD But although I have several more ideas for this, I like this idea of Ellie really softening him up over time..

he thanks you for your generosity, making sure he’s able to show it as much as he can. as in, if it went missing azul would probably lose his mind, so he keeps it in his dorm room where nobody can touch it.

however, remember when he mentioned not to expect anything in return in the future? still take him seriously on that please, but don’t act too surprised when a neatly wrapped box shows up at your front door.

he’s ecstatic, to say at the very least. you’ve seen how he literally ASKS people for gifts on his birthday, what makes you think he’d be less excited to get one on a random day? seriously, floyd looks like he’d be shaking out of happiness.

it’s not that he’s excited to get a gift, y’know? but it’s from you, and it could be the most un-expecting surprise ever. a toy? a trinket? some useless artifact that he’d keep locked away in his closet until he graduates? that’s what gets him all giddy inside.

(also the fact that it’s from you, but we don’t talk about that.)

oh, oh! what’s this? a little eel keychain? but it’s not very realistic, is it?

he absolutely adores it. he would actually prefer it over a realism eel keychain, because he thinks it makes morays more cute than they actually are. plus, it keeps his mind occupied on how squishy it looks. if only he could actually get his hands on a squishy eel, wouldn’t that be a dream?

My guilty pleasure is reading reviews complaining about Gideon The Ninth

One of my favorite complaints is the mixing up of characters, to many characters, and to many names/titles for characters. Which is fair enough relatable, but I just find it funny how once you know the last names for characters, I would say it's pretty obvious which house a character belongs to. The last names are not subtle (and I absolutely love deconstructing words with prefixes and suffixes, so maybe I'm the weirdo). I'll just have them here, but I'm pretty sure this is obvious (maybe not at first, though)

Nona- nine (Nonagesimus)

Octo- eight (Octakiseron)

Sept- seven (Septimus)

Sext- six (Sextus)

Pent-five

Tetra- four (tettares, close enough)

Tri- three (Tridentarius, also a sea snail)

Duetero- second (Dueteros)

Also, the complaints about characters' names being all over the place and random is genuinely funny to me because as far as fantasy novels go, the names in the series are quite tame (personally to me). If anything, they're from/ made up with Greek and Latin words for the last names, and the back of the novel has a neat pronunciation guide so I don't know what to say if the hypothetical bad review reader is struggling with that (except I understand and have been there for certain books in confusing up characters. Like Blister and Burn in WoF for which is which).

But also the bad reviews for people missing the lesbian context and getting upset about lack of world building I feel bad for because they're missing out on some amazing cow facts later on

Some Yandere Deuce Spade Headcanons

OCTO NOTE: Okay after reading @dark-side-blog3 yandere headcanons about Deuce, I was inspired to write something for him lol.

Ig this can count for his birthday as well lol.

Warnings: NOT-PROOF READ, yandere, Out of Character madness, bullying, mentions of violence, Deuce is an absolute dickhead at the start lol, inaccurate because I’m writing this by memory.

I couldn’t stop thinking about what would yandere! Deuce be like if you had met him PRIOR to the events of Twisted Wonderland. And how he would react to you also going to NRC as well.

I have no idea anyone else talked about this before, but imagine Deuce being a complete asshole, and you being the main target of his wrong-doings. Meaning Deuce doing ANYTHING to make your life a living hell.

Taking your lunch money, slapping your books out of your hands when you pass each other in the hallways, kicking the back of your ankle in gym class, causing you to fall down and making a fool of yourself in front of everyone.

Hell, he probably almost ran you over with his stupid blastcycle with his lackeys.

All that torment, all that humiliation you had to endure.

And it’s because Deuce wasn’t able to express his feelings towards you correctly.

This stupid motherfucker thought the statement: “The more you hurt them, the more they’ll like you” was actually legit.

But eventually, you graduated middle school. It was like the weight on your shoulders disappeared. Because you’ll be moving far, far away from your hometown for secondary school. You’ll be attending Night Raven College, a prestigious school you got accepted in due to your hard work.

A brand new start.

Meaning no more bullying, no more suffering, no more head being stuck inside of a toilet bowl.

And no more stupid Deuce Spade and his stupid lackeys with their stupid blastcycles.

No way he could’ve gotten accepted into a school like NRC.

You thanked whoever was watching you. You couldn’t wait to leave.

Fast forward a few months later. You arrived at NRC and waited to be sorted into your dorm.

You’re so excited! New people meaning new friends! Not people who wanted to hurt you.

While waiting for the sort-ment, you couldn’t help but feel like someone was intensely staring at the back of your head.

And that feeling was right because when you turned around to check, you were met with dark blue eyes looking directly at you.

You kept staring at each other for a moment before the person tensed up and looked quickly away after.

You raised your eyebrow. You bring your hand up to the back of your head. Was there something wrong?

You weren’t able to see the face of the person due to the large hood blocking the way. But then you paid no mind after a second, turning back around to the front.

Once Deuce saw you looked away from the corner of his eye, he then turned back to look at you again.

As soon as he saw the back of your head, it felt like the world stopped for a moment.

It’s you! It’s really you!

Oh how he wanted to approach you. How he wanted to apologize for everything he put you through, he wanted to tell you that he realized how much of an asshole he was, how he wanted to ask you so bad to be his friend, how he wanted to express everything he felt for you, how in the future—he hoped that you both could be more than just schoolmates.

Even when you caught him, he couldn’t help but keep staring at you. Oh how he missed you beautiful eyes. Thank goodness you decided not to put on your hood right now, or else he wouldn't been able to tell that was you!

How could he have ever hurt you? You’re absolutely adorable, you’re just incredible in general .

You even got into the same school as him! It was a surprise that he got in, but it wasn’t a surprise to see that you got accepted as well. He knew how smart you were.

I mean— you did all of his assignments…in middle school…after threatening to beat you up if you didn’t.

Deuce wanted to smack his forehead until there was a dent in it.

God, he has to say sorry to you. He did try to apologize before leaving for NRC, multiple times actually. But as soon as he reached the door of your house, he couldn’t help but freeze. He got scared and ran off.

But when he finally got the courage to say sorry, you already left for school.

He was so depressed after that day.

All he wants now is to become a better person! He wants to erase his entire delinquent past for the sake of his mother. Especially after overhearing his mothers conversation with his grandmother.

And that’s a promise he swore to!

And now since you're also attending NRC, that promise is locked in since you’re here with him. He now has all the time in the world to prove to you that he's a changed person now. He'll make sure not to screw up this time.

OCTO NOTE: You have no idea how long it took to find a Deuce GIF that didn't have Ace and Grim in it lmaoooo.

I might expand on this if anyone wants me to. But it would have to be after I release a few more fics I wanted to do.

So. Side Order, huh?

I've been chewing on my thoughts over this for a good few days now. Want to spit them out somewhere. Vague-ish spoilers ahead.

I want to preface this with saying that I love Splatoon, I've been playing it since 1, really dropped off near the end of 2. Nintendo made Octo Expansion for me, they released it on my birthday and I love it so fucking much.

Side Order is fun, but lacking criminally in content.

You can argue Roguelites are like this in general, its the core princible to replay them over and over again and as someone who enjoys Roguelites, I agree!

However, a key thing that good roguelites do is continously give you a reason to keep playing- whether that be addictive gameplay or, usually, good story and lacing that in with difficulty that becomes the players goal to lessen- It rewards the player for being curious, experimental and above all else persistant.

I am fully aware that difficulty, due to Splatoon's target audience, in something like a roguelite was never going to be an easy thing to balance let alone pull off but having the main plot resolve itself once you hit the top of the tower was, in my opinion, the first of its blunders.

I feel as if the Splatoon developers know how much the lore and worldbuilding of these games matter to players. Side Order was advertised in very similar veins to Octo Expansion. The trailers had mystery and intrigue with clear connections to the well recieved and loved Octo Expansion to the point of having the same protagonist among other simularities.

They were clearly teasing this to be a successor of SOME capacity to Octo Expansion. And even as I went into this expecting it to be nothing like OE in terms of it's personal weight, I wasn't expecting something so short.

Classically, in roguelites that focus on story, you would gain story beats the more you replay. And techincally you gain this with the keys gathered from each fully cleared palette. But usually your story rewards in roguelites come from clearing or attempting runs and rewards:

With Side Order's story being resolved the MOMENT you step onto floor 30 with no real context unless you've intentionally avoided the top or have genuinely been slowed by its difficult (which I assume is what the devs intended) makes it's climax feel fast paced and lackluster- undeserved, even.

And, yes, I am fully aware that when you climb the tower agani after the credits role, you begin gain more lore about whats going on. But with the actual, main threat neutralized in every possible way it feels as if this lore should've been offered to us much sooner and much more spread out for a better pay off.

It's story feels like its being told out of order and, in my personal opinion, the themes and actual telling methods of Side Order we're a largely missed opportunity to tell something a bit more indepth. Climbing a tower that gives you essentially nothing until you reach floor 30 (which in my experience takes about 35-40 minutes) only to recieve about two scentences of lore is incredibly tiring and feels dissastifying when the main plot is already over.

It's lack of variation in level design, tasks and chips doesn't help with the climb each time if you're looking for the lore or just to 100% either. And you can argue this is a roguelite problem, but Splatoon's scenario's for a tower climb are pitifully small and you will start to seem repeat almost immediatly on your second or third run.

I also feel like it relies far too heavily on the player knowing and caring about Octo Expansion. I'm not saying that I think it was a bad idea to have most of what's going on in Side Order happening because of Octo Expansion's events. Hell, I was happy when they were very blatently showing this early on.

But it does very little with its ties to Octo Expansion, making Side Order feel like its constantly struggling to be its own thing away from the original DLC.

I think I can almost see what they wanted to go for here, and its frustrating, it felt close to something at least telling a decent story.

Every single little beat I've gotten has helped me understand more and more what they were going for, but since the main conflict is already resolved I find it hard to be excited and more frustrated that I wasn't given these during my initial playthrough.

I feel as though the roguelite formula was an interesting idea that they polished the best of their ability and to make work both for casual and experience players- but I think thats where the problem comes in.

With Side Order being the same price as Octo Expansion and offering very little in terms of replayability and most especially for me, story, the whole thing ends up feeling like a muddled mess that would've worked better had the roguelite aspect perhaps been dropped in general for a general tower climb.

Missed opportunies feel like they decorate Side Order in a way that leaves me fairly disappointed.

I think, overall, Side Order is a fun time that can be enjoyed but the way it was implimented into the gameplay formula was largely a mistake, especially coupled with the marketing of this being something more indepth with its story when it's not, and I can absolutely understand why I'm seeing a lot of disappointment for it.

Agent 4 doodles

When Callie was still missing Marie used to sing a lot during her night at Octo Canyon, she thought Callie could listen to her. 4 noticed it pretty quickly since she sleeps there all the time but keep it to themselfs.

At first, Marie didn't care too much for 4, but she quickly grow attached to them, 4 trying to emulate Callie's personality to help Marie sure helped with that.

4 and Callie are similar in a lot of ways, even the bad ones. They became besties after the final fight, even when at first 4 was scared of Callie (I have whole 4 pages of traditional comic about that lol)

4 is a speedrunner and a 100% completion guy. After the final battle, they asked the octorians if they would help them train, the enemy octolings were pretty upset by all the times 4 splashed them so they agreed. 4 can use all weapons and is very proud of that " If I can use all of them then Marie and Callie would be very proud!"

Im in such brain rot for them I can go insane, ask me anything you want, I need to write everything down before I forget it lol

~Agent 4 POV~

Cap'n Cuttlefish sent me, agent 3 and agent 8 out on a mission due to suspicious activity

but honestly I was doing all the work the whole time while the other two were bossing me around

When we got back to report about our mission as always agent 3 and 8 took all the credit "we finished our duties Cap'n Cuttlefish"

Eight Nodded "but agent 4 here was actually pretty useless on our mission are you sure you wanna keep her in the Squidbeak Splatoon?" Agent 3 laughed

"yeah like can we kick her out she pretty much doesn't do anything plus you already have two strong agents who saved the world I'm sure losing one stupid, insignificant agent won't cause that much damage" agent 3 added

"oh nonsense I'm sure you all at least contributed even if it's just a bit" Cap'n Cuttlefish dismissed agent 3 request

Agent 3 and 8 just scoffed "fine anyways got anymore missions for us Cap'n?" Agent 8 asked

"why yes just one more mission then you can go home" Cap'n Cuttlefish told us to go to one of the Kettles

We headed to the said Kettle and went inside once we were inside the kettle it was pretty easy "pfft this will be easy as always 4 be a useful agent for once and go first" agent 3 shoves me to the front

"fine fine..." Everything was going smoothly we found a secret scroll and everything when all the sudden a group of Octarians and Octolings ambushed us I managed to fight them off

But agent 3 and agent 8 were absolutely swarmed they were about to run out of ink for their weapons "4 YOU USELESS B#TCH COME HERE AND HELP US!" Agent 3 screamed as he almost ran out of ink

I was about to help them when I remembered... Why should I?

Bunny Boy Bonanza! (aka. Housewardens as Bunny Boys / Bunny Butlers)

inspired by the obey me bunny boy outfits + events and NOT by playboy bunnies (just to clarify) also, thank you all for 400 followers wtf lol i never thought this little blog would get so big but here we are (´；ω；｀) i hope you all keep enjoying my stuff

"You want us to do WHAT?!"

You walk into the Mostro Lounge, a place you occasionally visit to either vibe at or to help Azul with. There, you see all of the housewardens sitting at the most front and center booth, Azul himself in the middle.

"Hey, Azul" you call out to him, "what's going on?"

"Good" he replies, with an oddly devious tone, hands clasped together near his face "that means we're all here."

"This better be worth it octo-bastard" Leona complains, "I wanna go back to bed..."

"C'mon Leona!" Kalim gleams, "It's only 4pm. Plus, this could be fun!" Leona rolls his eyes at the chipper student and sinks into his seat.

"yea, i gotta agree w/ leona on this 1" Idia types on his tablet, "idk why we couldnt do this over a video call or smth. im missing out on precious grinding time over here!!!"

"Well, I believe doing this in person is more effective" Riddle explains, "Especially since I know some of us would take advantage of being able to slack off over a digital meeting." He looks daggers at Leona and Idia. The former sucks his teeth while the latter lets out a small squeak.

"I agree" Vil adds, clicking his nails on the table, "This must be of upmost importance if even Malleus of all people is here! We can't afford to have two of our housewardens slack off on something so seemingly dire." Malleus grimaces at his acknowledgement, happy to be a part of this.

"So, Ashengrotto" Malleus starts, "why have you brought us here? Couldn't we have done this in the headmage's office?" Azul pushes his glasses up, chuckling to himself.

"Well, my colleagues" Azul gets up from his seat, awkwardly trying to pass through the others and let you sit in his spot, "this is an issue that pertains specifically to the Mostro Lounge. It wouldn't make sense to bring the headmage into this!"

"Then why are we here?" Leona groans, "Last time I checked, this little cafe of your's had nothing to do with me." Azul chuckles even more, going to his office.

"Leona does have a point" Riddle responds, cocking his head, "Couldn't you have asked Jade and Floyd for help? They do work directly with you after all."

"Well," Azul says audibly from his office; you can hear him rummaging for something from the booth, "simply put, they won't draw nearly as much of a buzz as you all!"

"I suppose you're correct," Vil says in a confused tone, "but given how successful your business is, why would you need more attention?" Azul comes back from his office, poorly hiding a large bag behind his back.

"You all know how the student fair is approaching, correct?" Everyone nods their heads with varying expressions. "Good! And you know how I'm trying to expand the Mostro Lounge, right?" Leona and Idia grow annoyed at Azul's antics, You, Riddle, and Vil grow confused and curious, while Kalim and Malleus are just happy to be here.

"Ok, but what's with the bag?" You ask, pointing out how painfully bad Azul is at hiding the large bag behind him. He straightens himself, holding the bag further behind him and slowly beginning to laugh to himself. Everyone keeps their eyes on boy and Leona nearly gets out of his seat in annoyance. Suddenly, his laughter grows in volume, shocking you all.

"Well, you see, that's because we're doing something very special for this occasion." He smirks before spinning the bag towards the front, posing excitedly. Because of this, a singular pair of bunny ears is thrown and falls in front of the table in a ironic fashion. "The Mostro Lounge is holding a Bunny Boy themed cafe event for the student fair~! And I want all of you to join~!" He sticks his tongue out in an anime-esque manner.

"You want us to do WHAT?!"

"Isn't this a great idea?! I mean, if you were a regular humdrum student here, and you saw the head of your dorm dressed in such a manner, wouldn't you wanna come?! Wouldn't you wanna spend all your mo-"

"No way I'm doing this!" Idia yells uncharacteristicly, holding his tablet close to his chest, "You want me to publicly humiliate myself just for your own stupid cafe?! And wouldn't you have to participate yourself too?!" Azul drops the bag on the table, picking the pair of bunny ears and putting it back inside.

"Of course I'll be participating myself. I've planned for this accordingly!"

"But I don't get why I have to take part in your stupid like cafe" Leona says while standing up from his seat.

"I don't get why you guys are so mean about this!" Kalim interjects, blocking Leona from leaving, "This could be a fun bonding moment for all of us, not to mention a way to get Azul to afford another location for the lounge!"

"I don't know," Vil responds, "Even I wouldn't be caught dead in something so... demeaning." Azul gasps, pulling out one of the costume bags from the larger bag. It's a bunny boy suit that looks to be on the smaller side, with red and black trimming.

"Demeaning?! Why I'd never! These are adorable and not to mention handcrafted!" Azul passes the costume bag over to Riddle, who looks at it with a face of shock, fear, and disgust.

"I assume this is meant for me?" Azul nods his head enthusiasticly. "There is no way I'm wearing this! I would rather work making the food in the kitchen then agree to something of this nature!" Riddle visibly shivers at the thought of Ace's inevitable bullying, a small bead of sweat rolling down his face. In the midst of the chaos, Malleus checks the bag, finding only 7 suits.

"Ashengrotto?" Malleus asks, getting Azul's attention, "If there are 8 of us present and only 7 suits, who will not being wearing one of these 'bunny suits'?" Azul gasps, rushing over to his office to grab another, separate costume bag, containing a replica of his dorm uniform.

"Simple, the prefect will be wearing a copy of my dorm uniform instead!"

"Huh?!" Everyone replied, causing even more of an uproar. Azul motions everyone to settle down.

"What? I think this is a great idea! I mean, being that I'll be working as a waiter, I need someone to take my place. And knowing the twins, I thought it would be best to have the prefect fill my role. Not to mention, don't you agree that seeing them in an actual dorm uniform is enticing, not to mention the uniform of the dorm's leader?! It's perfectly replicated too! Wanna see?!" Azul moves back to go back into his office yet again before being stopped.

"I think it'd be a fun idea." You state, earning the attention of everyone around you.

"Really?!" Everyone exclaims.

"I mean, I think it'd be more funny rather than fun, but yeah, it's not the worst idea." Azul feigns shedding a tear while Kalim is hardly able to hold his own excitement, unlike Malleus, who sits calm despite his own intrigue. Riddle and Vil look at you, each other, and then the bag of bunny boy suits. Their faces seem to relax a bit, if only by a small amount. Leona looks at you with confusion and annoyance while Idia looks at you in pure terror. Before the latter could convince you of how horrible this whole ordeal is, Azul speaks first.

"Oh, I knew you would say that! Why, I knew so well that I even made a small outfit for Grim as well!" Azul grabs an even smaller costume bag from your own bag, containing a small hat and bowtie. Idia's eyes light up as he immediately sinks back into his seat, giggling to himself at the thought of Grin and his adorable little outfit.

Everyone starts talking about the event, seeming far more persuaded by the idea than they were before. That is, except for Leona, who's holding his head in the palm of his hand, using his other hand to rub his temples.

"I'm still not convinced. Why the hell would I purposely dress up in such a stupid costume? Do I even get anything out of this?!" Everyone looks towards Leona. You and Kalim do your best puppy dog eyes to no avail.

"What is it, Kingscholar?" Malleus says smugly, "Does the thought of wearing a costume like this repulse? Are you, as the term goes, chicken?" Leona looks at him in disgust and sucks his teeth.

"Fine fine, I'll wear the damn costume..." You, Azul, and Kalim rejoice as Malleus smiles to himself in helping Leona join the cause, albeit by unconventional means.

"How wonderful!" Azul exclaims, "This is going to go swimmingly! Now, why don't we celebrate this?" Azul takes the bag off the the table and puts his hand in the middle of it. The rest of you put your hands on top of his, some faster and slower than others.

"Now, 3, 2, 1!"

"For the Mostro Lounge!"

"For the Mostro Lounge."

"For the Mostro Lounge..."

"Yeah..."

"Fuck off."

Riddle Rosehearts:

Is utterly embarrassed but forces himself to follow through with it

He really hates this man

Like, the cutesy suit, the little bunny ears, the fluffy little bunny tail

He's gonna blow a gasket, he's gonna overblot

And what's worse is that everyone knows and tries to make things worse for him

Instead of chosing the more tame menu options like draw hearts on the omurice, everyone asks him to do a little dance

It's one of the pricier options on the menu but I guess people think it's really funny to watch the little Victorian boy dance in a bunny suit

Tries to not get angry while he's working but Ace is really testing his fucking patience

Once the job is over and everyone has left, he books it straight into the bathroom and screams

Azul better watch his back

Ace: Hey, can I get this? points to a menu option called the "Bouncing Bunny Boy Burger Combo" that comes with a free pose

Riddle: Alright, one burger combo-

Ace: No, you gotta say the name.

Riddle: Ace I swear on the Seven you better lock your doors shut tonight or else I'll-

Wants to go home

This shouldn't come as a surprise, since he doesn't want to put a lot of energy into most things

And he especially doesn't want to put any energy into wearing a stupid suit with bunny ears! herbivoreification

Even though he thinks he looks stupid with two sets of ears on his head, he's glad he doesn't have to wear a bunny tail like everyone else

In terms of his actual work duties, he doesn't really do much of anything

He really just does the bare minimum of giving people their food and going over the kitchen to complain about it

You want him to bless your food like how maid do in maid cafes? Do it yourself, he can't be bothered.

Ask him to do one of the cutesy poses on the menu? He would rather die.

You want him to literally just eat a carrot? He might actually die (according to himself). grown ass man won't eat a goddamn carrot

The only good thing to come out of this is that Cheka isn't here- and there he is

Cheka: Unca Leona, why are you dressed up like a bunny rabbit?

Leona: Don't ask me, ask the nerd in the glasses...

Despite his cocky and boisterous nature, he gets embarrassed rather easily

That's why, in order to prepare for this event, he made a contract with Floyd to take his aloofness for the ability to walk on walls idfk man he'd probably ask for something like that

After that, he was working perfectly

Even the most embarrassing of actions didn't even phase him

That was until Floyd got bored of walking on walls and "accidentally" knocked the contract over in the sink (why the contract was in the kitchen and not in Azul's safe? don't ask! it simply was)

Now that Azul was in his normal state, he began to grow far more visibly nervous

And, funnily enough, that's what got people to pay him more

As soon as he got in his break, he immediately went to chastise Floyd who, obviously, didn't care

Honestly, he's just glad he didn't decide to do a maid cafe instead...

Jade: Azul, why did you even agree to do this knowing the possibility of something like this happening?

Azul: If it's for the lounge, I'll suck it up! is on the verge of tears

Is incredibly excited

Honestly, he'd be happy to do anything really

But he's especially happy that he gets to work as a waiter (I dunno how but go off ig)

Yeah the outfit is a little over the top, but he gets to make people smile!

He's really friendly and he puts a lot of enthusiasm into his job

Some of the patrons enjoy it and find his happiness to be contagious

Others are a little upset that he isn't more humiliated and grumpy about this

Whenever he has a break with someone else, he'll try to cheer them up so that they can keep going

Sometimes it works, and sometimes they still just wanna go home

Either way, he's just happy to be here!

Jamil: chuckles Hey Kalim?

Kalim: Yeah?

Jamil: Can you bless the food for me please?

Kalim: Of course!

Jamil: Wait what-

Kalim: Bless this food and make it yummy! I hope it's good and pleases your tummy! Sparkle Sparkle~! insert cute pose here

Is humilated but wants to make this work

For obvious reasons, he's one of the more popular waiters

And as much as he hated to wear this silly and gaudy outfit, he hates to let all those people down

Not to mention, this seems like a good publicity move

So as much as he just wants to throw this costume in the trash and curse Azul for even thinking of putting him in this position, he just smiles and ups the performance

Oh, is your water almost empty? He'll refill it with a smile!

You want him to spin around? He'll do a spin and pose at the end!

Hell, he'll even blow you a kiss for free!

His smile immediately fades when he sees Neige at the front of the lounge.

Neige: Wow Vi, you look so cool!

Vil: Please don't mention it.

Neige: Aww, but I think you look amazing!

Vil: Please spare me this once...

Idia has been to his fair share of themed cafes

Never in his 18 years of living would he had thought he'd be working at one!

He remembers wanting to ask a maid to bless his food but feeling too embarrassed to do so

He wishes more people were like that!

He doesn't even know why people are paying him to do stuff

Wouldn't it be a better purchase to see Vil draw hearts with ketchup?

Or to watch Kalim do a cute dance?

He just sees it as a lose-lose situation to make him do this kind of stuff

But it's sorta cute watching him get all nervous and embarrassed

But it's also sorta funny and a little embarrassing to watch

Once he's on his break, he immediately goes over to Grim to play with him

To his displeasure, it simply draws more attention to himself

Ortho: Wow, big brother! You look so cute!

Idia: Please don't look at me like this... Anything but this...

Ortho: Can I wear a cute outfit like that one day?

Idia: If that's what makes the suffering end, of course!

Malleus Draconia:

Surprisingly enjoys this

Malleus isn't too familiar with pop culture

He's even less familiar with why people would pay so much money to see him sporting bunny ears and a tail

Is it that entertaining to look at?

Either way, he's never been a waiter before, given his status, but he tries his best to be a good bunny boy!

It's sorta hard though when everyone seems to be intimidated by him

They don't know whether to laugh or not when they see Malleus Draconia, on of the strongest mages of all time, spinning and posing in a bunny boy suit

Speaking of magic, he uses a bit to add special effects to his performances (ex. adding sparkles and small clouds of mist when he's blessing the food)

He wouldn't admit it but it's clear if you paid attention to how he's been acting that he truly is happy to be invited here

Lilia: Malleus, would you be a dear and let me take a picture of you?

Malleus: I don't see the purpose, but I'll allow it.

Lilia: Thanks! saves it as his wallpaper

Being that he's a cat, he doesn't really do much anyways

He just sits there and looks cute

Prefect: Why were you complaining earlier if you weren't even gonna do anything?

Grim: Because, I wanted to see if Azul would actually pay me to be here.
