leon protects gn!reader with his body (warnings: protective leon, description of injuries)

You can hear Leon screaming your name, but you can't move. Your head is probably bleeding, and you don't know where you are. You try to mumble, "It is okay, Leon," but no voice comes from your throat. Leon sounds so close and away at the same time.

Leon is panicking as he runs to you. He counts 1, 2, 3 to every breath, focusing solely on you. He had tried to warn you the floor felt unstable, but you, stubborn as you were, went first. Leon watched as you dropped, his heart sinking inside his chest. And to make matters worse, he notices debris dangling; if they fall, they will fall on top of you. He can't let that happen.

He calls your name, more urgent this time. Desperate, some might say.

Leon gets in there just in time. He touches your warm face, and your vision doesn't seem to focus. Hearing the debris drop, without thinking twice, he covers your body with his, protecting especially your head, letting all dirty, some woods, and even some rocks fall on his back.

It hurts like hell, but Leon doesn't care.

He has enough herbs for both of you in his pouch. You first, of course. You open your eyes, semi-conscious, calling him.

"I am here, baby. Right here. Stay awake, focus on my voice."

You blink, and his golden locks tickle your face. Why is he so close to you? What happened?

"Leon?" Your head hurts so much.

"You will be alright, hun. I am right here."

You hear a huge bang noise and Leon groaning with pain as he tries to stand up, and you can see a lot of dirt around you. You want to ask him what is happening, but Leon offers you some herbs. Instantly, your vision focus, and you can notice Leon’s state.

He doesn't look well. He has cuts all over his body, one really bad across his chest. His leg seems to be bleeding as well. He looks exhausted and barely holding up. Besides that, he still manages to smile when he sees you fine.

"Leon!" You call urgently, holding him when he is about to fall. You gently place him on the floor, and Leon remains there, breathing slowly.

You quickly go through your things to find a health spray, giving it all to Leon. He finally gets better, for your relief, and pulls you to his lap.

"Hey, you need time to recover," You try to argue.

"I recover just fine with you in my arms," Leon whispers. Then he finally confesses, a fear you never heard in his voice before, "I almost thought I lost you."

"I am here. We are here, baby. We will be fine," You say out loud as a form to comfort both of you. He rubs your back and the base of your neck while you hold into him. Leon needs to feel you for a few minutes: listen to your heart beating. You only say something once you start hearing a few growls getting close.

"Leon..." You warn, and he is already standing up. You follow him next, your gun fully loaded. Leon stands in front of the only door, still forming some sort of barrier in front of you, despite your numerous complaints, you were as good of an agent as him.

"When this is over, we will get pizza."

"Deal."

"Ready for this?"

Leon looks over his shoulder, waiting for your nod. When you do it, eyes focused, he opens the door.
