started and abandoned this months ago but this week's chapter motivated me to finish this i actually l*ike them its crazy.....

"Dabi is a chill / cool guy" wrong, in fact his whole quirk and emotional struggles are all about how not chill he is. He literally burned himself alive? Twice? He cries blood? He just appeared detached 'cause he is suicidal and he's trying to convince himself that nothing else matters but revenge he's failing.

"Tomura is cruel / dumb / explosive" super wrong, there are several instances of him getting threatened by the League when he either did nothing or calmly reacted to him. There are also several instances of Tomura explaining historical events or sharing facts and strategy with them.

Contrary to what Dabi once suggested on the manga, Compress is known for taking big risks to accomplish his missions and he has an active role whenever the League needs him (jumped against Overhaul and later took his arm, kidnapped Bakugo, used his quirk on himself to allow Spinner and Tomura to escape, fought against Machia with Twice to allow Tomura to rest, etc).

Twice is not just a silly guy, he has actual malice too and he acts on it. Overhaul would have been a great addition if it wasn't for his need to control. He is capable of being cruel for his family the League sake and he was with them because he wanted, not because he was being a naive man being tricked.

Spinner is not a background character but someone really important to the storyline development (maybe Dabi is the second strongest and most active league member after Tomura, but Spinner is the person they all trusted and Tomura's greatest follower).

Toga is not just cheerful-crazy, she is really serious when it matters and like Twice or Dabi or thr rest of the League, a big part of her personality is a consequence of some trauma, in this case the social mask she tried to maintain for the sake of getting approved by her parents.

The League of Villains is more complex than all the stereotypes.

When the LOV was first forming:

Toga: I’m 17!

Compress: My my, a bunch of younger villains! Practically children!

Shigaraki: I’m 21!

Spinner: Same.

Compress: Children.

Dabi:… I’m 23.

Compress: Children.

Twice: I’m 31!

Compres:…. Wait, I’m not the oldest, am I? I can’t be. I don’t want to be.

Spinner: I think you might be the adult here, man.

Compress:… Kurogiri, how old are you?

Kurogiri, at the bar: I don’t know. According to ten year old Tomura Shigaraki, “old.”

Shigaraki: Hey!

Conpress: Then I say you’re actually 33 and now the official oldest until proven otherwise.

Later:

Kurogiri, breaking out of prison and only having a couple mental breakdowns: … I’m 31.

Compress, 32: Damnit!

I'm so tired of Spinner being left out and excluded from the League. Put Spinner back in the League please. Make him Himiko's endearingly awkward big brother. Make him Magne's endearingly awkward little brother. Make him worry about Tomura whenever he gets sick and dedicate his time to taking care of him. Let him go to the gym with Jin. Let him argue with Dabi. Let him make video game references. Let him be the only one to understand the gaming references Tomura makes. Let him go skateboarding. Make him stay up late at night playing GTA. Make him a paranormal fanatic, despite him easily getting spooked. Include him in League game night, where he annoys everyone when they play Monopoly because he keeps begging for money just to spend it poorly. Let Jin teach him how to work on cars because Shuuichi's interested in mechanics. Let him playfully call Atsuhiro's magic tricks lame. Let him help Kurogiri wash the dishes after dinner. Make him a hopeless romantic. Make him a source of support for the League. Make the League comfort him whenever he's upset. Make him laugh so hard he cries at a shitty joke Dabi makes. Make him rope Dabi into playing video games with him whenever Tomura's not around even though Dabi sucks at them. Make him want to reconnect with his family, because despite all the shitty things they've said and done to him and them being complicit in the discrimination he faced, he still cares about them and wants them to have a good life. Make him not want to have a birthday party because the greatest gift to him is just being able to hang out with his friends. Make Spinner care so much about his friends. Give the man anxiety. Give the man insecurities. Give the man his friends back.
