You’ve never been so nervous for a match before.

You were gonna be in the elimination chamber match for a chance to go against iyo at wrestlemania for the title.

You were up against asuka, Liv, Bianca, Jade cargil, and Tiffany Stratton.

All of which made it painfully clear that they didn’t want you to win.

Just the week prior Asuka surprised you with a mist, and that was painful.

You were scared of them over taking you.

You had so many people expecting you to win.

only one made you feel like you could win though.

“Cariño, wake up”

You groaned and rolled towards your boyfriend, damian.

“Come on, I have things for you to do today.”

“Damian I’m tired-“

“I know you are baby, just trust me.”

You mumbled under your breath and sat up, reaching out for him.

He wrapped his arms around you, kissing your neck and rubbing your back.

“What are we doing today?”

“I’m taking care of you before your match Saturday”

“I dont-“

“Shush, let me help you darling”

You groaned lightly again and pulled away from him, looking him over.

“I made breakfast baby, come and eat”

He gave a quick kiss to your lips and helped you up.

Maybe this was gonna be fun.

After you ate the wonderful breakfast he made, he took you to your master bathroom.

He told you to get ready for a bath, which you knew was gonna be good.

You took off your clothes and put your robe on, another thing he had bought to make sure you were comfortable.

You heard the water running and smiled, he knew how to take care of you.

“Ready baby?”

You looked up and nodded, standing up and walking over to his smiling face.

He helped you remove your robe and kissed your collarbone, placing you in the warm water gently.

It felt good on your skin, along with the lavender salts he used, it was perfect.

You sighed softly and let his hands rub your shoulders, massaging all the tension out.

You closed your eyes and leaned your head back against his torso.

“Thank you Damian, I needed this”

“I know you did. Just relax sweetie.”

He was the only one that understood you.

The only one that understood your stress.

He was the only one.

You started to doze off, feeling safe with him.

“Damian?”

“Yeah?”

“Do you really think I’m gonna win?”

He moved down to your arms,

“I believe you will, you have such a strong will to fight it would be hard to imagine you not winning”

You nodded slightly

“However, even if you don’t win, I wouldn’t be upset.”

“Rhea would”

“Rhea doesn’t matter. You just focus on your goals.”

You opened your eyes and saw him looking down at you.

“I love you Damian.”

“I love you too Y/N”

You lied as he leaned down and kissed your lips again, feeling loved.

“So what’s the plan for the rest of the night?”

You sat on his lap, letting him wrap his arms around your torso.

“Movie and pizza, unless you want something else?”

You shook your head.

“That sounds fine to me, what we watching?”

“Guess.”

You smiled, normally he did this to get what you wanted.

“Hmmmm, scream?”

“You always guess right, you have to be psychic”

You giggled and kissed his cheek, handing him his phone to call in the food.

His body was warm on your skin, and you could hear his breathing consistently going.

You pulled up the movie, waiting for him to finish before starting it.

You’ve never felt so confident in yourself before.

“I love you baby girl.”

“I love you too darling”

You wouldn’t have it any other way.

Hi :) What's the most overrated character on st iyo?

Hi anon!!

Well I would say it's Billy? Don't get me wrong, I know damn well that most of st fandom actually hates him, but It does surprises me the amount of people who loves him, ships him with other characters and/or try to excuse all his actions? Idk but in my opinion the other characters have at least a good reason for all the love they receive, even if I don't agree with some of their points.

Just to be clear, I love billy as a character and I'm not saying it is wrong to like him or whatever. However I've seen people trying to excuse his actions as if he was just a poor guy who was abused by his father. While I do agree that his childhood trauma has a lot to do with his actions, I don't see it as just a consequence of the trauma but also his choice to behave like that. Just look at Jonathan. Also he was a racist so... it surprises me the amount of people who would fight for him.

Well idk if thats the answer you were searching for but I really don't think any other character could be seen as overrated imo (I don't really think there is one).

Pairing: Bayley x Dakota Kai

Word count: 1.6k

Set after the 04/17/23 episode of Raw. Some angst and self-hatred, plenty of fluff and comfort. One (1) hint at a praise kink, but nothing even remotely spicy happens anywhere in this fic. Based on this idea that my lovely prism trap anon shared.

Her first singles match in five months. Against the Raw Women's Champion. So much has changed since the last time Dakota and Bianca stood across the ring from each other, one on one.

But some things just stay the same. Once again, Dakota has failed to capitalize on an opportunity. This time, however, it hurts so much more. The look on Bayley's face as Dakota rolls out of the ring reminds her that she's failed. Bayley fought so hard for her to get this match against Bianca, and she couldn't get the job done.

Bayley just holds Dakota's head to her chest. She wants to speak, but she knows that she can't. Not here, in front of the cameras. So instead, she helps Dakota up the ramp, Iyo following behind as she stares the champion down.

The next couple of hours are a blur. Dakota manages to pull herself from her spiraling thoughts long enough to get through their backstage segment. She nearly bursts into tears as she speaks, but manages to regain her composure when she turns to Iyo. Passionately tells her tag team partner that she has to be the one to beat Bianca.

They bring her to the trainer's room to get ice and checked out. Bayley tells Iyo to stay with Dakota, before giving Dakota's hand a squeeze and slipping out of the room. Dakota doesn't say a word aside from answering the questions that the medical team asks her.

Eventually, Bayley returns with all three of their belongings, and the medical staff tell Dakota that she's free to go back to the hotel. Bayley is adamant that she's going to drive, until they pass Candice gathering her things to leave.

Candice takes one look at the trio, and holds out her hand to Bayley. "Give me the keys," she says. Bayley opens her mouth to protest, but Candice doesn't let her get that far. "You're far too worried about Dakota to drive safely and we both know it. I'm already going back to the hotel anyways. Now stop being stubborn and give me the damn keys." Candice is so fiercely protective of Dakota, almost as much as Bayley is. So Bayley drops the keys to the rental car into Candice's open palm.

Sometime between Bayley handing Candice the keys and when they reach the exit of the arena, Asuka pulls Iyo away from the group, saying something about going out to eat. At some point, Mia falls in step with them.

Which is how they find themselves in a rental car, driving through the streets of Little Rock, Arkansas. Candice drives and Mia sits shotgun, and they make small talk in low voices. In the backseat, Bayley holds Dakota's hand and strokes her hair. Even without words, Bayley knows just how to comfort Dakota.

When they arrive at the hotel, Bayley takes both her own bag and Dakota's. Dakota starts to protest, saying she can carry her own stuff. But Mia is right there with pictures of her dogs, and the two former roommates walk into the hotel side by side.

Bayley and Candice walk a few paces behind, watching their tag team partners obsess over their pets. They don’t say a word to each other until they’re halfway across the hotel lobby, on their way to meet Dakota and Mia by the elevators.

“Hey,” Candice says as she stops walking, putting a hand on Bayley’s shoulder. ”Take care of her, okay? Make sure she knows how loved she is.”

“I will,” Bayley promises. “Don’t you worry, cupcake. I’ll take care of her.”

Candice rolls her eyes at the nickname, but smiles nonetheless. “Thank you,” she says, giving Bayley’s shoulder a squeeze before letting go of her. They reach the elevators, and Candice hands Bayley the keys to the rental car.

Dakota is silent during the short elevator ride up to their floor. Bayley can see her fighting back tears, her hands shaking. They reach their room, and Bayley swipes her key to unlock the door. She sets down the bags in her hands as the door closes behind Dakota.

Suddenly, a sound escapes Dakota's mouth, a sob that jolts her body. She feels her legs give out beneath her. She's expecting to hit the carpeted floor of the hotel room, but the impact never comes. Instead, she feels Bayley's strong arms holding her up, not letting her fall. Dakota lets out another choking sob, and all she can think about is how much she hates this, hates herself.

"You're okay baby," Bayley whispers, her voice soft and soothing in Dakota's ear. She wraps her arms around the smaller girl's body, holding her close.

Dakota buries her face in Bayley's shoulder. Her entire body is shaking now, and she's crying uncontrollably and she wants to stop but she can't.

"It's alright, I've got you. Just let it all out." Bayley says, continuing to whisper soft words of encouragement and reassurance, holding Dakota tight in her arms until she is no longer crying.

With slow, careful movements, Bayley manages to guide her into the bathroom. She strips Dakota of her ring gear, and gently helps her into the shower. She gets Dakota washed up, drying her off with a towel before dressing her in warm pajama pants and one of Bayley's sweatshirts. Dakota is silent. Her eyes don't focus on anything, and she barely registers what is happening.

Finally, after what feels like hours, she pulls herself out of her own head, realizing that she's crying again. She doesn't know when it started, but silent tears roll down her face, and she finally manages to choke out the two words that she has wanted to say since the match ended.

“I’m sorry,” Dakota whispers, her voice as unsteady and weak as she feels.

Bayley reaches out and wipes away the tears on Dakota’s cheeks. “Baby, you have nothing to be sorry for,” she insists.

Dakota shakes her head. “I let you down,” she says, fresh tears filling her eyes.

“Oh Kota,” Bayley whispers, pulling her sweet girl close to her, holding Dakota’s head against her chest in the same way that she did after the match. “You could never let me down,” she says, stroking Dakota’s cotton candy pink hair. “I’m so proud of you baby. Win, lose, or draw. I’ll always be proud of you.”

"But you shouldn't be," Dakota whimpers. "I failed, Bayley. I had a chance and I failed. Just like I've failed at every other opportunity I've been given."

Bayley feels her heart break a little at Dakota's words, and she wants so badly to interject, to tell Dakota how wrong she is. But she knows that Dakota has to get whatever she's feeling in this moment off her chest.

"You shouldn't have chosen me to return with you," Dakota continues, tears still falling. "You should have chosen Mia, or Candice, or Tegan. I'm the dead weight, I'm the reason we keep losing."

"No." The single word bursts from Bayley's lips, and her voice is more aggressive than she had intended. She takes a deep breath, softening her tone before she speaks again. "Listen to me," she says. Dakota lifts her head from Bayley's chest, slowly meeting her girlfriend's eyes. "You are not a failure. You are not dead weight. I chose you to return with me at SummerSlam, because I saw the things in you that everyone else didn't see. And I have never once regretted my choice."

Slowly, she guides her over to the bed, sitting down and pulling Dakota onto her lap. "You are worth so much more than you know," Bayley continues, running her fingers through Dakota's hair, pressing a gentle kiss to her forehead.

Dakota lets out a flustered whine, burying her face in the crook of Bayley's neck as a blush fills her cheeks. She's never been particularly good at receiving compliments. "You're just saying that because you feel bad for me," she protests, her words muffled but still clear enough for Bayley to hear.

"I'm saying it because it's true," Bayley insists. She gently lifts Dakota's head from her neck, taking her flushed face in her hands. "You are my everything, Kota. You are my entire world."

Bayley can see the doubt in Dakota's eyes, and she knows that her sweet girl is trying to fight it, that she doesn't believe what Bayley is saying. She knows that Dakota spent so many months hearing those same words from past tag team partners, only to have it all come crumbling down every time.

So she takes it one step further, pulling Dakota's face closer to her own, until their foreheads are touching. "You are my princess. My king. My warrior." As she speaks, her voice low and soft, Bayley can feel Dakota starting to melt into her touch. "You're the light of my life," she continues. "You're my good girl."

It's those two words that finally break through the negative thoughts that have been playing on a loop in Dakota's head. "Even though I lost?" she asks, her voice small, still not fully believing the words that she's hearing.

"Always," Bayley says, brushing a piece of hair away from Dakota's face. "No matter what happens."

Dakota curls into herself, resting her head on Bayley's chest. "Thank you," she whispers, just loud enough for Bayley to hear. "I don't know what I would do without you."

"Well," Bayley says, leaning down to kiss the top of Dakota's head. "You'll never have to find out. I'll always be right by your side."

Dakota looks up to meet Bayley's eyes. "Promise?" she asks.

Bayley smiles down at her girl. "Promise," she says, and Dakota knows that she isn't lying.

She's going to be okay.

Hmm, good question. A little hard for me to answer since I don't have any social media accounts except Tumblr. So these days with Musk's latest restrictions, I cannot access Twitter unless someone posts a direct link to a specific tweet. I can browse Reddit just fine, Instagram is tricky as well, and I try to avoid TikTok and Facebook like the plague.

That said, I think you find toxic people on all social media in all fandoms. People have their faves, their favorite ships, etc. and get possessive/jealous/downright mean when you don't agree with them, criticize their favorite, etc. And when a fandom revolves around a competitive sport, it gets even worse, as even the athletes will often fuel the fire.

At times, I find myself walking a fine line between wanting to share my opinion and pissing off someone whose blog I enjoy. Can I say something nice about a driver I know some of my mutuals despise, or will they block me? What if I say something critical about a driver I like most of the time, who has done something I disagree with? I hope that those I follow and those who follow me know me well enough by now to know I give every driver a fair chance to win me over, but I will equally call them out if they do something shitty.

In the same vein, I welcome everyone's opinion on matters, but I will not accept people being downright rude. I've not had to block anyone so far for getting toxic, and I hope it stays that way. So long story short: so far I haven't really found F1 Tumblr too toxic personally, but I have seen some disturbing posts elsewhere that lead me to think it's definitely not like that for everyone.

I find Reddit pretty tame, but again, I don't have my own account - I'm just a lurker. Twitter seems like a minefield to me. Before, when I could still browse on Twitter, I'd see people get absolutely destroyed for voicing an unpopular opinion. If I ever do get an account, it would just be to access content. I would not post on there for anything!

I am not on Insta enough to form an opinion. And I never go to TikTok, but have heard some horrible stories about it.

Well, we see Davos’ council is borne from decades of experience at sea, he’s steadfastly loyal, he’s not a flatterer, can’t read, is looked down on by many for being lowborn lacking that polish. I can see a few nobles valuing his council:

It makes a lot of sense that some of Essosi nobility, particularly those from the coastal areas, would consider him well. It’s said among the Three Daughters (Lys, Tyrosh, and Myr) that wealth is more important than birth and they all make their living through the sea. Salladhor Saan is a personal friend, and he’s from a noble Lyseni family, so he’s already got sort of an in with that area.

The Ironborn also make their living through the sea. Even men descended from thralls and salt wives can become nobles, though not as respected as the higher born. I think they’d appreciate Davos‘ sea knowledge and steadfast loyalty, while not holding his birth against him to the degree the Reachmen do

Some of the blunter, poorer Northmen like House Umber and the mountain clansmen may appreciate Davos’ bluntness, lack of frippery, and general competence in naval areas as well, considering they’ve also had dealings with the Free Folk raiding by sea

Maybe the men of the Golden Company, as they choose their officers by merit rather than birth and have a loyal reputation

Maybe some of those Tàrgs that employed men of humble birth like Jaehaerys I and Aegon V

Smackdown thoughts?

Hey anon ❤️ Happy to have you in my inbox again! As always, thanks for asking and for being interested in what I have to say! I apologize for the late reply, I didn't manage to watch the entire show up until today, but now I'm glad I did!

I'll list things off in chronological order and put most of it under the cut (since this is super long once again, especially the part about the main event, oops).

The first bit of Roman walking in… the way Paul flinched was hilarious, looks like Jey really did a number on him last week lol. If you don’t love Paul, I don’t know what you’re doing with your life.

I love seeing NXT superstars on other brands, especially if they’re really building up to RAW vs. Smackdown vs. NXT for Survivor Series once again (also loved that little backstage sequence with Jey later on the show, boy’s got people’s respect and I love that).

The Fatal 4-Way was a great entertaining match. I love Rey Mysterio, he’s one of the reasons I’ve been watching the product for such a long time and he’ll always be a fav, so I don’t mind him winning, as long as they have something bigger and better in store for LA Knight. I’m annoyed they keep using him for promos to get a crowd pop, but still make him lose all the damn time. He’s so over rn, they’d be stupid not to do something with that other than promo work. (LWO vs. LWO next week should be interesting though.)

Charlotte vs. Iyo didn’t really catch me, it was a solid match (and I loved Bayley on commentary, honestly the combo of Bayley, Cole and Wade is comedic gold). Something about the match just felt a little off to me. They’re both great in the ring, I guess something about their chemistry just wasn’t for me. Hate that Iyo lost. LOVE that Asuka got the last laugh.

That Roman, Solo, Paul backstage segment 👀 My killer baby loves staring at that Ula Fala a little too much these days and The Tribal Chief knows it. It was a 30-40 second segment maybe, no words spoken, but we saw everything we needed to see. Just hope they don’t fuck over Jey at Summerslam over this, but I’m fully expecting it at this point.

The Shotzi stuff is looking awesome!!! Maybe getting a good feud in the women’s division? We love to see it! (I love Shotzi and Bayley, so I’m even more excited, I hope they’ll come through.)

Still not gonna talk about Theory, but he lost HAHAHAHA (and that’s all I’m gonna say)

Dunno what they’re cooking with Lashley and company, but I’m intrigued for sure 👀 First the Street Profits, now Carmelo and Trick? Interesting, interesting.

The Dom Dom stuff is super entertaining to me. Him and Mami are simply an iconic duo and I hope they’re not gonna split these two up anytime soon. That being said, give Rhea a good feud on Mondays pls and thx!

I get why people are frustrated over the whole NXT North American Championship thing, especially since Solo didn’t get to keep it when he joined the main roster, but then again it’s WWE and they keep changing the rules all the time, so it’s not all that surprising that they’d be inconsistent like that. And like I said earlier, if they’re really building up towards NXT vs. Smackdown vs. RAW for Survivor Series, it’s a smart business move to have one of their most popular acts on all shows to attract viewership and have one of them carry a title to lift it up even further (and for people whining about The Draft - honestly that was never gonna stick for too long, it never has in the past, and it was mostly about having the World Titles on different shows if you ask me). I love seeing gold on Dom Dom and on Mami and I’ll leave it at that.

Pretty Deadly and that wheelchair scene. I was laughing so hard. These two are GOLD. Add Wade’s commentary on top of that. Yeah… I don’t want a segment like that for them every week, but this segment and this week? LOVED IT!

And now on to the main event:

Jey’s entrance was pure fire my god 🔥🔥🔥 Honestly, you don’t wanna know I many times I’ve rewatched that one. Man’s fired up!!!

Him not looking at nor acknowledging Roman for the entirety of his entrance, only giving him the side eye once he’s close? Proud of how far he's come <3

(Am I the only one missing Roman raising those titles on the ramp? No? Good.)

If looks could kill Jey would be cooked by now - just look at Solo during that entire entrance and the whole segment, holy moly. He rarely takes his eyes off of Jey. No love lost between these two. God they are phenomenal. He only looks away and starts thinking on his own when Jey mentions the Elders telling him to challenge Roman. Solo may have been sent for Roman’s protection, but we can’t forget that his loyalty lies with the Elders, seeing as they are the ones who sent him in the first place. If they doubt Roman’s leadership - oh boy…

Roman trying to intimidate Jey just like old times (“little Jey”) and Jey standing his ground. The way I yelled 🔥 And Roman thinking this is just gonna be any old match, that this is gonna be Clash of Champions and HIAC all over again. His arrogance is unmatched and I love the dawning realization of what’s really happening here, starting with his confusion the moment Jey rips up the contract and says with his whole chest “the contract’s in the blood” “this right here is Tribal Combat now” all the way up to the moment he asks Jey if the Elders know about this and finds out it was their idea. You see doubt creep in, but he’s still infuriatingly arrogant. Right up until the moment I’m truly living for - the second he realizes what’s really at stake here when Jey reiterates “I said… it’s Tribal Combat now” (the most powerful line that’s been said all night phew 😮‍💨). That’s when he knows Jey truly means business. And Paul immediately trying to stop him? CINEMA.

Jey Uso listing all the ways he’s gonna beat Roman’s ass while bouncing in his lil chair will never not be hilarious to me. It was such a deeply emotional segment and he still managed to put a light comedic moment into it. And that smile at the end of it? That wasn’t Roman, even though he weaved it into the Tribal Chief’s arrogance extremely well (just goes to show how good he is), nah that was Joe cracking a smile and you can’t convince me otherwise. These boys (Josh and Joe) are having the time of their lives and I’m very soft about that 🥹

With Roman leaving the Ula Fala on the Table and initiating the Hongi with Jey? Honestly, to me this felt like the moment Roman finally acknowledged that they’re gonna meet as equals in that ring for the first time. Not big cousin and little cousin, not Tribal Chief and Right Hand Man, not main eventer and Tag Team Guy. Just two men who want what’s best for their family, two guys who have grown into supernovas over the years, two men who are equal and have mutual respect for each other. Tribal Combat means the match was sanctioned by the Elders and that’s huge. These guys are gonna murder each other, but they’ll love and respect each other while doing so. This was the ultimate showing of respect for each other and their heritage. This was their contract signing and it’s more binding than any other contract could ever be. And it’s immediately proven when Solo tries to go after Jey and Roman stops him.

And while Jey immediately kicking Solo in the face, no hesitation, shocks Roman and shows him just how far Jey is willing to go, just how different his cousin is from the man he faced years ago, Jey is not breaking any rules. Roman realizes he’s pushed Jey too far one too many times.

Paul kneeling in the corner in absolute despair was a hilarious and glorious little detail! This whole thing would never be the same without Paul Heyman, backstage and in front of the cameras. That man just >>>>>

Another thing I found incredibly intriguing was the little conversation Paul and Roman had while leaving. They were so stunned by the fact that Jey was talking to the Elders. If you listen closely you can hear Paul say “he said it was the Elder’s idea” and Roman say something along the lines of “I’m the only one talking to the Elders”. The fact that Paul looks legitimately scared… What are they doing to us?

I might not like whatever outcome they have planned for Summerslam (if Jey isn’t winning and he isn’t gonna, I’m not gonna like it, simple as that), but the build-up to it is incredible and I’m enjoying every second!

For me it was a good episode overall!
