I just rewatched a bunch of Supercorp fanvids and now my brain is rotting so hard from dormant feelings rising. I forgot how much they owned my heart. How did they inadvertently create the most heart-shattering, beautiful, romantic storyline featuring actors with the most palpable on screen chemistry I- 😭

#even if you viewed them platonic how do you not see them as having one of the most important and significant dynamics in the series??? #obviously the danvers sisters is up there #but there's not a single romantic partner kara had that changed her as person the way lena did and vice versa SHE LITERALLY TELLS HER THAT #and lena wasn't a villain she was a morally grey anti-hero but kara never stopped believing in her even when others did #she was the reason lena stayed on the side of good and made their storyline so appealing #and lena was genuinely such a good friend to kara before kara's betrayal #she just got hurt and made bad choices but even kara forgave her because she understood why #and lena really went out of her way to make up for her mistakes to earn kara's trust back #but they also were so romantically coded #the number of parallels between other cw hero ships was insane for what was supposedly a 'friendship' #like on one side sure i'll accept they were 'just friends' in canon #but on the other side there were so many production choices that framed them as a couple IN CANON #non-canon can simply be subtext but supercorp was so blaringly romantic in context i feel like a crazy person rewatching their scenes #if you made it this far have a cookie🍪 #supercorp

pivoting for the day! here's a bittersweet sibling moment in changing states:

So when he looks back to his cake, the candles still flickering, he inhales. He thinks of himself and his sister as kids, choreographing their own dance number to Madonna’s Material Girl, sharing a half-and-half cone from the ice cream truck because they only had enough change for one and weren’t convincing enough for the man to give them a second for free, arguing as teenagers over who got the bigger room and later, right before Jeremiah moved, about how everyone has to make sacrifices, that Kara could speak more to that than Jeremiah ever could and if he couldn’t see that, maybe it was best he go. He thinks of his first weekend in Las Vegas, a weekend he’d fantasized of for years, how he’d planned to sneak into a house party and drink and dance until he felt like the neon-soaked lights on the Strip. But when the time came, his apartment empty and in need of a new coat of a paint, a roommate he hadn’t even met unable to move in for another few days, he stayed in, sitting on the floor because he didn’t yet have a couch. He snacked on a box of Oreos, his and Kara’s favourite, and maybe this is why he called his sister, wanting to share the moment with her even if she didn’t have cookies, wanting the loneliness to go away. When she picked up, she didn’t tell him I told you say, tell him, you can’t run to a city to find yourself. She instead asked him if he remembered where she’d put her set of cherry drop earrings, if he’d borrowed them when he was home or if he’d stolen them to take with him, which she said with a laugh. Even when she knew, without asking, how miserable he was, some kid over his head with less than two-hundred bucks on him and a mild cold coming on, even when she could’ve yelled at him, told him I told you so, she didn’t, her love so large it didn’t necessarily overlook his flaws so much as it accepted them, left them room to grow.
