If they actually kept that scene in the episode, it’ll be like them hanging a sign over their heads BUDDIE IS CANON BUDDIE 4EVER!!!!
I understand why they cut it 🤣 I’m still lowkey mad, but I understand!

Sorry this is a really fucking weird response imo and I’m not one to make posts like this anymore but this really isn’t sitting right with me
Ofc people take things too far around here all the fucking time but still it’s really strange and leaves a sour taste in my mouth considering the history this show has
This was just posted on Twitter by the 9-1-1 BTS account which I do not believe is directly affiliated with the show.
With all due respect bc I totally understand where he’s coming from, but it’s just really weird to me that the show would spend WEEKS using that content to promote the ep plus allow the actors to talk about it and hype it up too, not use it and give this response when ppl are sad. And again, I KNOW people take ahit way too far and make things too nasty, but that does not negate the fact that we are allowed to be a little upset about the matter
AND ITS NOT THE FIRST TIME THEYVE DONE SOMETHING LIKE THIS
The ghost stories storyline fucking fell off the face of the earth we got a completely different episode than what was promoted to us originally, they switch storylines around from ep to ep all the time
There’s seems to be a HUGE case of miscommunication between when scenes are filmed, and what footage is decided on for promo bc why is this show continuously promoting content that we never seen again it’s fucking weird I’ve never seen another show that before. Like, sorry, but as shoe runner you should have a say in what is used as promo!!! Ofc I don’t work in showbiz but… it’s just so fucking weird to me. This season has been so disorganized behind the scenes of everything and somehow they are still producing a fucking BANGER of a season, but I just really do not like this response he’s given us.
I was kind of over the whole karaoke scene thing bc shit happens that’s life whatever we’re moving on, but then Tim hit us with this and the fucking “with all the moaning I’ve seen…” stfu dude oh my god and I just had to leave my two cents for my own peace of mind 😅

I didn’t believe the karaoke song was what I like about you, because everyone was basing it on a BTS video from the camera team.
I believe it now:
Straight from Tim’s mouth

There's a natural, innate competition with each other and dislike between them. But there's also that kind of sense, increasingly, that they know each other better than anyone else knows them because they can kind of see through each other. x

i havent seen anyone else point out yet that ivan reaching for till's neck was already a consistent theme, strangulation aside
all the way back to round 3. in both that and after the karaoke scene, he's doing it specifically to release his restraints (post-karaoke specifically, it doesnt even seem to be for a real reason other than to bring him some temporary relief/comfort after that). even if its not shown in the other shots, i think thats what his desire is there too.
and with the strangling too, in the end i still think he was trying to save him through it, in whatever way he could at least. you could take that in the "it was a farce to save him" way or the "it was an attempted double suicide" way, but i think its just interesting. we see consistently ivan reach for till's neck to give him freedom, until the same gesture strangles him instead. isn't that ironic?
