So today in English we were reading a text about space mining (specifically asteroid and moon mining) and that got me thinkin

Imagine someone convincing Luther to take all of his moon research works to NASA.

Imagine his 4 years' worth of work finally getting recognition and praise and Luther is... so honestly shocked and also so overjoyed by the fact that such an important company found his work valuable.

(he does get shy when asked for an interview and a small photoshoot because of his struggles with his body image and general social awkwardness but his sibs are happy for him and help him get through it and yeah)

Scientists use the information found by Luther to organise the first mining and exploration expeditions and Luther is offered the position of a guide/ a councellor of sorts and he might go to work on the Moon again but this time there are people who work with him, and people who need his work, there is an actual purpose to what he does and it will make the world better.

Just think about it.

He literally has never left his house, his "dad" never let him leave unless it was for missions and then after his "dad" performed experimental surgery on him without his consent which mutated his body to a unrecognizable shape, he was then sent to the moon for FOUR years where he believed he was helping to save the world and was running out of food and then when he got back, genuinely mourning his abuser only to find out that he was sent to complete isolation from the world not to save the world but because he was so "disgusting" to look at.

On the topic of Luther's sexuality

Ok so there are many different views on Luther's sexuality on tumblr. Some consider him to be straight, some say he is bi, pan, ace and/or demi. Anyways it's not strictly stated in the series so it's up to us ppl I guess.

But what about Reginald being homophopic/implying that having feelings for the same gender is wrong? Or maybe Luther saw homophobic stuff somewhere and got scared because he thought that maybe he likes boys too, not just girls? And because he is the golden boy, he tries to supress his feelings for other gender(s) and hide this from his father and siblings.

When he is an adult his opinion changes, and he doesn't have his father to answer to anymore, but he is still having trouble accepting his actual romantic/sexual orientation
