His ivory neck disappearing into a ruthlessly fitted pale blue shirt which was dashingly rumpled at the end of this long work day. Buttons undone at the neck teased a peep show of luminous chest. Cuffs rolled up high exposing surprisingly muscular arms and - breaking the pre-Raphaelite vision, but visible to John's trained eye - faint scars at the dimple of inner elbow attesting to past, repeated injection of drugs. The man looked beautiful. Unearthly. But there was something vulnerable about him. The skin a bit too translucent. The eyes dark with strain. "
