tried to save for top surgery until one day one of their Zhent contacts told them about a doctor who’d do it for free if Tav smuggled something big

foolishly they agreed

their surgery was done - not to a high standard - but their blood was used as part of a spell component to put an arcane circle in their chest.

much like a bag of holding it was meant to connect to a harmless demiplane, except the ritual went wrong and it connected to a very occupied demiplane

something that’s now linked to Tav burst out its tentacles from their chest and tried to attack everything in reach

Tav was left abandoned in an alley when the attack was over - likely would have bled to death if the Nautiloid hadn’t picked them up

I changed the lyrics to “The One That Got Away” by Katy Perry (I listened to this cover by Brielle Von Hugel), based on my Hound!MC Alon's backstory and their childhood friend's betrayal.

#touchstarved #touchstarved game #touchstarved oc #alon the hound #erick the wolf #song parody #lyrics rewrite #the word “dream” is used a bunch because it's not just the childhood friend they lost in the betrayal it's also their shared dream. #the word “luck” is also repeated because of the childhood friend oc erick. he likes card games and gambling. #“we had long run out of luck.” referring to the heist that was the catalyst for the betrayal. #I changed the bridge lyric to “I can't replace you with a million dreams” for one of the songs I had in their playlist. “a million dreams.” #the “turn our dream on me” refers to the promise to leave the city. so alon did actually end up fulfilling that dream thanks to erick. #via exile. we love irony. #I liked playing with the phrase “the one that got away” because it can mean a lost chance #but since the hound mc is a thief it could also mean the person that escaped. like oh no the criminal got away! #with alon and erick in particular it refers to their promise to leave the walled city together once they gathered enough coin #that was also tied to finding a cure for alon's curse but the most important part of that pact was to be together no matter what happened #for the bridge after the chorus I just took out the second part of “we would keep our promises” because I thought it was more fitting #the sentence just ends because it's too painful to repeat. I also think it makes that quieter more subdued part stand out from the others. #my favourite change was the switch to plural in “everyone who stayed would say we were the ones that got away.” #it's meant to convey: “we were supposed to be the ones that made it out. we were supposed to make it out of here together.” #again it's playing with that phrase: “the one that got away.” I imagine it sung in a very raw and agonized way.

I had an (unlisted!) compilation of pretty standard vines made I for some friends and it got taken down for “child safety” (For what reason? I don’t know, maybe they thought the dude kickflipping the Dunkin Donuts sign was too risky. They never cared to explain it to me.)

I’m pretty sure all of them were ones you would find in any other vine compilation, so if you have favorites that are still up, I’d download them for safekeeping.

Looks like our Savior came up with a new event to gather more believers... Her eccentric mind never ceases to amaze. It's a good thing she has many trusted followers to help make her plan a dazzling reality. Let's take a look, shall we?

Natasha certainly never expected that becoming an idol would be part of her duty as Ray's assistant... Her life in Mint Eye gets more and more bizarre every day. But hey, she has an impressive talent for singing, and once she gets some much needed training, she has no problem charming potential believers with her radiant smile and beautiful voice. Although her stage presence still needs some work. Still, it helps to know that Ray is just as clueless as she is. It's somewhat fun to learn something new by his side!

And yes, I put her into Hatsune Miku's outfit. She loves Miku! Just embarrassed to admit it. It's a good thing their production and costume designer is a huge sweetheart.

Next up, we have the most skilled performer in the group! Hinata is the one responsible for training Ray and Natasha on their stage presence, as well as their dance routine. Apparently it's way harder than it looks, go figure! As someone who knows a thing or two about being an idol, she's the one in charge, which their Savior is more than pleased with. She knows that their idol festival is in good hands with Hinata taking the lead. Their recruitment mission is one of utmost importance, after all... Who would resist a sparkling idol taking your breath away on stage?

Meanwhile, Chaewon is in charge of security for the event. Since Ray will be performing on stage with Hinata and Natasha, his duties are temporarily handed over in her hands. While their Savior did suggest for her personal bodyguard to join the others on stage, it seems that she has no sense of rhythm whatsoever... much to her own embarrassment. She makes sure that everything goes smoothly and takes care of any... sleezy individuals lurking in the crowd.

And Lila did a wonderful job producing and planning the whole event. She's also the costume designer! It's thanks to her that everyone looks so dazzling on stage... Although, nobody expected for her to come up with such an unorthodox look for Mr. Ray. But, it works! Natasha seemed very charmed by his leather jacket in particular. And, to support Ray on his first ever performance on stage, she even created matching outfits for them! Ray may be nervous, but the entire room fades away once his eyes meet his precious tester in front of the crowd, cheering him on and looking up at him with stars in her eyes.

I only imported this bit from the really old height lineup to get corker's size accurate but I'm really pleased with how consistent I've been able to keep her overall sizing proportions over time :D

THAT REMINDS ME- I need to draw another entry for the explanation posts.. I think I'll give a rundown on the two (three? sane AU Eddie isn't really his own thing) versions of Edgar and how his relationship with The Main Antagonist Dude (Eli/Jack) impacts the narrative
