Day 2!!! I have to say, I am obsessed with this relaxed living so far…..it’s actually really quiet here. The lots are on the smaller side, it was a tight squeeze getting our fifth wheel situated so we could open all 4 slides fully and be back far enough. Greg has to kinda park the dually a little crooked so we don’t hang out into the street but we fit. We grocery shopped and I did laundry yesterday. Oh and we got our WiFi set up so Greg and sage can work and do school. Sage and I are planning to go to the gym and pool today. #Repost @resilient_yoga • • • • • • ⁣Day 1️⃣ of the UnleashYourYogaGoddess challenge!⁣⁣⁣ ⁣ Today’s Pose: Frog Pose⁣ ⁣ For today we are to choose a name we feel reflects our inner goddess’s personality. ⁣⁣⁣ The name I choose is Elpis. In Greek mythology Elpis was the personified spirit of hope.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣ In the Greek myth of Pandora’s box, Pandora herself was actually seen as a punishment to humankind because Prometheus, stole fire from the gods and gave its secret to humanity. So, the gods created Pandora and gave her a bunch of “gifts” placed in a jar. Pandora opened the jar and the “gifts” were unleashed on the world. These “gifts” led mainly to misery and deceit therefore, taking human beings out of an idyllic past and into an uncertain future. However, the connection to hope is that the only one of the gifts that didn’t escape the jar was Elpis or hope. Elpis hung on and did not escape before the lid was replaced.⁣⁣⁣ ⁣ This story can be interpreted in many ways but I interpret this to mean that the jar is a metaphor for the human body and the story teaches us that though we cannot always control what happens on the outside, we can still have hope contained inside. Things keep getting trickier for us… now we’re still living in our RV (5th wheel) in our yard. Our house closes on 8/31 so our time to get out completely is near. We are still coming in to cook in a full size kitchen and shower in our full size showers but other than that we are out in the RV. Yesterday Sage was out there alone, I was still cleaning the kitchen from breakfast. She said all the lights and the AC just stopped working. Greg spent the entire day yesterday trying to figure out the issue. Now we have two types of electrical systems. We have a 120 volt which is like what your house is and a 12 volt system which is like a car/vehicle. We then have this thing called an inverter and a converter, plus batteries and a huge extension cord that we plug in to shore power. It seems the electrical short (not a fire) put the systems in a fault mode which tripped everything. The batteries weren’t getting a charge so they finally died on us. Again, I’m grateful all these things are happening now! I’m grateful it happened this week when Greg was in town. I’m grateful we still have a house where we can blow up some air mattresses and come inside cool off and sleep.
