I had a feeling Roger Craig Smith had earned my acknowledgement of his work years ago. I can now remember him voicing Deidara from Naruto Shippuden as I hear him voice Sonic in Sonic Boom. I kinda liked Cindy Robinson voicing these vocally low toned anime characters back then too.

Okay so my official ranking of the naruto movies now that i have seen all of them:

Guardians Of The Crescent Moon Kingdom - a solid made-for-TV movie. Enjoyable. Loved the summer outfits. Loved seeing kakashi not give a shit. Fun time.

The Will Of Fire - Kakashi is a big dumb idiot and i love him. He needs to be dragged back home by the ear.

Ninja Clash In The Land Of Snow - honestly probably should be number 2 but i had to make a decision. Excellent fun movie. They wont let the poor actress lady quit her damn job and it's 100% bc Kakashi doesn't know you can quit a job.

Blood Prison - even with the weird sorta transphobia and cavity search this one is still weirdly enjoyable? I have no excuse. I should hate it more than i do.

The Lost Tower - time travel! Grumpy baby kakashi! Father son angst! Enjoyable! Cool creepy villain idea with replacing a whole city of people with puppets. Yamato is in it!

Naruto Shippuden The Movie - an okay movie. Rock lee had a good fight in it and the priestess lady asked naruto to make a baby with her at the end which Kakashi witnessed which made me laugh. I enjoy seeing kakashi astral project into a different dimension to escape uncomfortable situations.

Road To Ninja - gave us menma which was silly and fun. Got to see obito being an extra bitch which is also silly and fun.

Bonds - not a bad movie over-all but Naruto did encourage the like 13 year old girl to confess her love for her (evil) 60 year old teacher??? Loses a lot of points for that.

Legend Of The Stone Of Gelel - okay so i know i have seen this one twice but I can't remember /anything/ from it. It's just a blank to me. So must have been boring. Probably not bad but definitely not good either.

The Last - it's not good. I didn't have fun watching it. Usually when naruto is bad it's at least still fun. But genuinely felt like naruto was under a spell he was just so ??? out of character???? And the misogyny cannot be exaggerated. It was bad.

Gaara has a filler arc at the end of the original Naruto, episodes 216-220.

In Shippuden, he has two individual episodes for him: 182 and 388 (388 is mostly just a recap of Gaara's story so far, though).

He has a few minor scenes which were not in the manga in the episodes just after the Five Kage summit arc. Basically war preparation, nothing really major or character developing.

He is also a main character in the Second Chunin Exams filler arc, from 394-413.

There are more episodes that he's in in the war, but I don't know the episode numbers. There's the light novel Gaara Hiden: A Sandstorm Mirage, which is pretty great. And of course he's in my favorite episode of all time, #497 where he and Lee go on their date :)

I gotta say, the more I hear your complaints about the absolute INSANITY that is the Naruto plot and world building the happier I am that I only know things from fanfic.

Seriously everything about it sounds less coherent than a wattpad fic and those and very confusing

You are so much better off reading fic, you really are. There are some very cool fight scenes in the show and that's it. If you want to see Naruto in animation and on the screen and not lose your mind in frustration, I recommend watching the movies Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow, Island of the Crescent Moon, and Stone of Gelel for Naruto in his baby-faced years and Road to Ninja, Will of Fire, and Lost Tower for his shippuden years. Maybe Blood Prison too but that one has some major plot holes. None of the movies cleanly fit canon except Land of Snow but all of those ones I listed are ones I watched and genuinely enjoyed.

Land of Snow and Lost Tower are *especially* good when it comes to keeping track of their own plot, holding a good pace, and having very fun fight scenes and interesting characters. Crescent Moon is fun because it has Lee and also some good action (Sakura punches someone through a wall because heck yeah), and Road to Ninja has *alternate dimension shenanigans* and also Minato and Kushina getting actual screen time.

I also recommend Boruto *up to* just before the chuunin exam arc and maybe the chuunin exam arc itself. I haven't reached the chuunin exam in the show, but it is covered loosely in the Boruto movie and that was a lot of fun. But pre-chuunin exam we have a *very* lovable cast of kid characters, a *lot* more cohesive worldbuilding, mostly cohesive timeline, and just- the animation and story pacing is consistently So. Much. Better. Than anything in the Naruto show. It really is. I know Kishi took over writing for the manga in 2020 so I'm sure it's a *disaster* by now but those early arcs are highly entertaining if you want kiddo ninjas running around having adventures.

The only major issue in the early Boruto show is the truly terrible designs for some of the adult Naruto-era cast but like- "give all the male characters stupid short hair" was a precedent Kishi set in the Last Movie so we were already doomed on that front *anyway*.
