Unpopular TUA season 3 opinion:

Season three was the worst creatively. Season 1 and 2 had some gorgeous shots and reactions from the cast (my fav is five in the apocalypse and five in the barn dying before he turns back time. Bonus is Diego’s shot as he realises in season 2 his dad wasn’t on the grassy knoll).

Season 3, it was like they just put a camera before the cast and filmed. It felt rushed and not great, no memorable shots or scenes like season one or two. I hope they fix this season four and are taking on the feedback before they submit the final written script!

BUT, Kudos to Robert Sheehan for his final death scene in the hotel. It might have been the only great cinematic shot in season 3!

How was your birthday?

Last night (not my birthday but whatever) I was chilling it my job with my coworkers (I was not working I was just there to chill) and I found fourteen dollars on the ground (two fives and four singles) and my supervisor came up and was like “omg lemme read ur Angel nimbers for that) and she told me that the path I’m taking romantically was going good and I should keep trying and I was like eye roll whsteverrr and then later that night I was getting a ride home and the girl I like (hardcore super chill commie dj who I think only like one person on here knows irl but I think june(hi june) might know her idk) she messaged me and we were talking and I was like omg :D

Highlighting the September 3350 Troopers

When the Gaming authorities announced they were to hold a Trooper event, a predatory grin settled on my face.

Well, it was not purely a Trooper event. On K11 it was 30 ton max, and on the other tops we were allowed to have one other Mech along, -as long as it massed no more than 30 tons.

The scramble was still a long time away, so my regular formation was sent to grab a spot. Then it was time to struggle against the paper work monster.

That battle ended in a tactical draw, but strategic defeat for me. While thousands of reports were processed, new reports kept arriving nearly as fast.

That ment if I worked 24/7 I would eventually get everything done, but as that was impossible, unless help was found it was a lost cause.

But the time was finally aproaching for the scramble.

I grabbed my Troopers, added a Novum for scouting and set out for the mountains.

My formation had managed to hold a spot on the foothills, but having the correct Mechs along, that position would soon improve.

Only a handful of the opponents had what looked to be fully legal formations, but they might still have some Troopers tucked away somewhere. I went for one of those who had what looked as a legal formation, and nodded to myself. There were lots of Troopers there, not fully developed yet perhaps, but in time it would be a formidable challenge.

The only formation now between me and a win belonged to Brian Wilson of the Smurf Patrol. My licence was quite a bit higher, but his tonnage was higher. Could it be that he had a dozen legal Mechs?

He had, and they were quite developed to boot. My forces waded through them, but took some losses in the process.

I kept an eye on the situation for a while, but none seemed able to challenge me, so I fell into the trap of complacency.

Figuring the Gold was mine already, I told the crew to get footage and bring the Nephilax, before I headed back to the compound.

But when the crew returned they brought grim tidings. Wilson had managed to push them off the top, and without me to authorized a counterattack they had ended on the slopes.

OK, lesson learned. Don’t ever take a win for granted, but stay in the arena until the light flashes.

At least they had gotten the footage, and close examination revealed that the winners had been:

Total Contestants: 159

Total medals claimed: 143 (of 165 possible)

Compared to the Shocklite event we just had, the nimber of contestants was reduced by thirty-two. It might have been to a lack of legal Mechs, but that did not det er many other contestants.

But given the low number of combatants, and the usual imbalance between the tops, we ended up having a total of twenty-two unclaimed Bronzes from a total of six tops that were returned for resmelting.

The last half-hour saw five Golds changing hands at least once, while five other Golds were held for more than two hours.

Sounds like variable fighting, but to find out we need to look at the number of medals held for more than 30 minutes in this event:

We had a trio of tops where no successful medal attacks took place (K2, K9 and K11). Two other tops (K6 and K10) had just the Gold strike. But we also had solid action on Mount Olympus and K3 where most of the medals changed hands. The rest of the tops had fair to moderate action.

Mad Scientist 1 was the only clan to secure a double triumph in this event. They got it by claiming the top prizes from K10 and K11.

The sole repeat winner this time was Star League`s Drake Hunter, and none of the unaligned Commanders managed to get a Gold.

Upcoming event: Buccaneer

Here we have a split event.

For those fighting on the two lowest tops (K10 and K11) it is an unlimited event where all Mechs are legal.

On the remaining tops, the only legal Mech model is the 40 ton Buccaneer

Why i decided to stop going to my nutritionist

So in the middle of my depression and eating disorder, and after I convinced my parents that i truly did have disordered eating, i had a "team" of a therapist, nutritionist and psychiatrist to work with me. They did their best and really helped me. The nutritionist didn't let me weigh myself except only at her office, told me to eat 4 fruits a day to handle sugar cravings, told me to eat 3 meals and 2 snacks, gave me "permission" to eat popcorn as snack and dark chocolate after meals for sugar cravings, told me to avoid cereal because it could be a "trigger" (although this was a bit weird because it isn't really a trigger for me) and some other rules. I know that they were helpful for a while to give my parents and myself a bit if structure in the middle of my disordered eating. Nonetheless, recently i decided to not go to the nutritionist anymore and i want to explain why. After i went through electroconvulsive therapy about 6 weeks ago, i drastically changed. Finally i am cured from my major suicidal depression, i got my period back, i am happy, i no longer have suicidal thoughts or thoughts of self harm, i enjoy life and well, i no longer have depression!!! Yet, i am still struggling to overcome my binge eating disorder, which isn't just a chemical imbalance but something that i have been struggling with for years and is more of a therapy and not that much of a psychiatric thing. So i've read a lot about nutrition and binge eating over the years. My favorite blogger and the person who truly changed the way i view food and body image is Noa Shanks from Lift like a girl. Her articles showed me that it's better to follow "simple guidelines", that i shouldn't measure my selfworth by a nimber on a scale, that i shouldn't five a fuck about what people think and more. But recently i have done more research and discovered intuitive eating, health at every size and the power of positive body image. Over the years i've learned about the things that do and don't work and something that i know doesn't work for me is restricting or having rules. So that's why i don't want to go to the nutritionist anymore. Now that i'm out of the psychiatric crisis, i think that working on my own learning to listen to my body, and working with my therapist to improve my body image, is what will help me overcome my eating disorder, more than setting a bunch of rules that i have to follow because that will simply back fire. Moreover, in a couple months i'll be back at college and not have the nutritionist anymore so i want to work on my intuitive eating in the four months i have left before starting college so that i can arrive with a healthier relationship with food. I hope it works out!!
